Hiii!!!! Can you do a Charles Leclerc x reader fic maybe during F1 75 Charles and reader who’s maybe a public figure were sitting at the same table. Either as a wag or ambassador (or both?) and when the host (i forgot his name) makes that joke about his fiancée and him thinking about Charles when they’re together but what if instead of him saying he thinks about Charles, he says he thinks about reader and Charles does something about it?
Not really sure about this but I’m interested in however you’d write it if you do!
Get Your Hands Off My Woman
charles leclerc x reader
or... the one where everyone had to keep their eyes off you
word count : 812
warning : jealous charles, prick jack, english is not my first language!!!
on the radio : miss possesive by tate mcrae

🍹🎹
sitting at the f1 75 gala, you’re trying your best to keep a low profile, though it’s proving difficult given the company at your table. between the bright lights of the cameras and the chatter of the other guests, you’re grateful to be here as a plus one, supporting charles, rather than for your own public persona. you glance at him beside you, the corners of his mouth lifting into a soft smile when he notices you looking. his hand rests on your knee under the table, a small gesture of affection that helps ground you in the chaos.
the night has been flowing smoothly, until jack whitehall, the evening’s host, takes the stage. his jokes have been light and funny so far, poking fun at drivers and their teams, and everyone is enjoying themselves. but then, jack’s attention shifts toward your table, and a mischievous smile creeps onto his face.
“ah, the beautiful people,” jack begins, eyes flicking over you and charles. “and speaking of beauty, charles, mate, you’re one of the lucky ones, aren’t you?”
charles laughs softly, though you notice a slight shift in his posture, his grip tightening ever so slightly on your knee. you smile politely, trying to prepare yourself for whatever jack might say next.
“but I have to be honest, every time my fiancée and I are, you know, in bed, I can’t help but think about someone else. someone much, much better looking.”
the crowd titters with laughter, charles raises an eyebrow, and you feel your cheeks flush. surely he’s not going where you think he is.
“yeah, charles,” jack continues, smirking, “I’m talking about your girl.”
the room bursts into laughter, but all you can hear is the ringing in your ears. you tense up, unsure whether to laugh it off or let your irritation show. charles’ jaw tightens next to you, his hand now gripping your knee firmly, a sign that he’s not as amused as everyone else seems to be.
jack is still laughing when charles shifts beside you, and before you know it, he’s standing up, speaking into the microphone that’s connected to the camera which is filing his reaction closely.
“you know,” charles says, his voice calm but firm, “I’d appreciate it if you didn’t talk about her like that.”
the room falls quiet almost instantly, the air thick with tension. your heart is racing now, the attention of the entire room shifting toward your table. you glance at charles, surprised but touched by his protective tone.
jack stammers, clearly caught off guard. “oh, uh, no harm meant, mate. just a joke.”
“I understand,” charles replies, still composed, though there’s an edge to his voice now, “but she’s not part of the joke.”
there’s an awkward pause as the tension lingers in the room, and you can feel eyes on you from all directions. but charles doesn’t back down, his hand still resting protectively on your knee, thumb stroking gently now as if to reassure you.
jack tries to recover, offering a sheepish grin. “right, right. my bad, my bad. lovely couple, by the way. very jealous.”
the crowd chuckles, the atmosphere starting to ease back into something more relaxed, though you can still feel the weight of the moment pressing down on you. you glance at charles, and he gives you a small smile, his eyes softening as they meet yours.
when the attention finally shifts away from your table, you let out a breath you didn’t realize you’d been holding. charles leans in closer, his lips brushing your ear as he murmurs, “are you okay?”
you nod, though you can’t help but feel a little flustered by the whole exchange. “yeah,” you whisper back, “I’m fine.”
charles’ fingers gently squeeze your knee, his expression still serious as he looks at you. “I don’t like when people talk about you like that.”
“I know,” you say softly, touched by his protectiveness, “but you didn’t have to say anything.”
“of course I did,” he replies, his voice low but firm. “you deserve respect.”
his words send a warmth spreading through your chest, and you feel yourself relax a little, leaning into his side. he presses a soft kiss to your temple, the gesture both sweet and reassuring.
“thank you,” you murmur, resting your hand on his thigh under the table.
he doesn’t say anything, but the way he looks at you, the way his hand remains steady and comforting on your knee, says enough. he may be a world-class driver, someone who thrives under pressure on the track, but moments like this remind you just how deeply he cares - about you, about protecting you, even from a simple joke.
as the night continues, the buzz of conversation and laughter resumes around you, but in the quiet space between you and charles, everything feels just a little bit lighter.

Alastor x Wife! Overlord! Reader | Forgiveness |

Warnings ⚠️: Cussing, Death, Killing, Mentions of Alastor being a Cannibal, Reader makes STUPID DECISIONS
In the Pride Ring is where all of the sinners and Overlords alike mingle. The uppermost ring of Hell and the closest to Heaven. That’s where some of the most feared and powerful beings live. Two of those entities being Alastor, the Radio Demon, and (Y/n), the Jazz Demon.
Together, they rule their districts with an iron grip. While some Overlords team up, like the Vees, Alastor and (Y/n) were the first to do it. Well, it makes sense really, especially because they were close during their respective times alive on Earth.
——————
Three gunshots were heard that fateful night. One ending a mans life by his hand, one ending the witness’s life by his hand, and one ending his by justice’s hand. No more Bayou Killer, but he took two more lives before he went. Awful, sick man. Good thing he’s in Hell now…
Alastor hissed as his back hit the pavement. His squinted eyes took in his surroundings, he was in Hell. Hmm, no shocker there. What was a shock was seeing the body next to his.
“Ugghh” They groaned, sitting upright on the pavement next to him. They locked eyes. It was (Y/n). Before Alastor could even speak, she pounced on him, pushing him back into the pavement.
“You sick son of a BITCH!! YOU KILLED ME!! SHOT ME LIKE I WAS AN ANIMAL FOR YA NEXT MEAL!!” She yelled, shaking him back and forth by gripping his collar. His collar looked identical to hers, and he tuned out her yelling, he noticed her attire. She was now wearing a black suit with red and white accents, one that looked like a reverse image of his. Except a few details weren’t the same, hers looked more feminine, but also had less harsh edges to it. She looked more elegant while he looked more harsh.
He then looked up to her face, she had red eyes and long, silky black hair, with red underneath. He looked to the top of her head and noticed two fluffy, black ears. They were currently pressed to her scalp, a clear indicator of her unhappiness at the current moment.
“AND TO THINK, AFTER ALL OF THAT BEGGIN, YOU WAS JUST DYING TO GET ME ON YOUR RADIO SHOW!! WELL LOOK AT US NOW, MR. ALASTOR. LOOK. AT. US. NOW. WHAT EVEN ARE YOU, YOU SICK FREAK. EVERYONE KNEW THE BAYOU KILLER ATE FOLKS. IF YOU WERENT SHOT, WERE YOU GONNA EAT ME?? WAS I GONNA NOT EVEN BE ABLE TO HAVE A BURIAL NEXT TO MY PA, CAUSE YOU ATE ME!? OH LORD HELP ME!!”
Alastor rolled his eyes, feeling no remorse for the doe that whined above him. (Y/n) was a famous musician in Louisiana, particularly in Jazz. Alastor had begged her to come onto his radio show, play some tunes for his devoted fans. She agreed, but that night Alastor didn’t show to the studio. She heard shouting in the woods across the street from the building, stupidly she went to investigate. She saw the oh so famous radio host, and with a bang of a shotgun the other man was dead. Probably in Heaven now. Trying to stay silent, (Y/n) tried to back away before a branch snapped, like a doe her eyes widened before she darted away, only to be shot right in the heart and drop down to the ground. She heard another shot faintly in the distance before she felt the wind brush past her as she fell.
“My dear, I apologize.” Alastor said, gently grabbing (Y/n)‘s hand. “It was never my intention to make you my target. I knew that if word got out about my….hobbies….that my reputation would be ruined. No more radio show.”
“You can apologize for the rest of eternity” She scowled, smacking his hand away before standing up,” You’re a MONSTER. Leave me ALONE. Hopefully someone down here will be nice, but I’m not taking no help from you”. (Y/n) finally walked away, leaving a very annoyed Alastor sitting there.
———————
About 20 years later
Alastor was a feared Overlord now, rising the ranks out of seemingly nowhere. Even with this newfound power and respect, (Y/n) still wanted nothing to do with him. She was famous in her own way. Music was not very abundant in Hell, and she profited off of that. She had little to no competition in the music industry. Becoming an icon of Hell, her name was in everyone’s mouth, making Alastor yesterday’s news, which irked him to no end.
‘I need her.’ Alastor initially thought,’ with someone as influential as her now, having her on my side will make my power increase tenfold.’ But after many times of asking over the years, he just yearned for her admiration. Not only to be on his side, but by his side. He didn’t know where the newfound obsession came from, but Alastor knew he wouldn’t stop until he brought her to him.
Alastor made his way to her huge studio, basically a small turf at this point. Without ever fighting, she’d managed to become a little bit of an Overlord, just not to the extent she could be called one. He made his way up to her penthouse, knowing the way by heart since this is not the first time he’s made a visit for an alliance.
“What Alastor.” (Y/n) asked, not even looking up from her sheet music she was writing.
“Hello my dear!” Alastor said,”lovely to see you again! I just miss you so much darling!”
“Miss me from what?” She said, turning around to meet his eyes,” we were aquatinted when we were alive, and then you killed me. What exactly do you miss me from?”
“I just miss seeing you.” He said in a softer tone,”Please (Y/n), you must realize that your death was an accident. I was never planning to hurt you. I was never planning to do anything to you.”
(Y/n)’s head tipped down, her ears pressed to her scalp,”but you did, Alastor. You killed me.”
“My dear….” He said, getting closer slowly, like she’d dart off at any given moment, just for him to not see her ever again. “My dear, I cannot imagine the pain you’ve gone through. I know it’s been a few years now, but that’s a few years you could’ve still been alive. Found a husband, had a better music career, just lived. I took that from you, and I’m…..I’m sorry.”
“I know Alastor.” She said, hugging him. Even though he hated when people touched him, she did not know this, so he internally decided to let this one time be the exception. “You know I can never fully forgive you….but after all of these years, I think I can at least try to have you in my life….but if you screw up ANY, I’m gonna kill you. I don’t care if you’re an Overlord or whatever the hell you’re doing, I will kill you like you killed me.”
“Hmm, fair enough” He shrugged, breaking off the hug as he sat down in the chair across from hers.
———————
Present Day
“So hold up” Angel said, looking at the two powerful Overlords,”He literally killed you and you were like, ‘oh well, I forgive you’. What the hell (Y/n)?”
(Y/n) was a true Overlord know. Once she let Alastor back into her life, he taught her the ways of toppling Overlords. She didn’t posses near the amount of power that he had, so he did the gruesome part for her. Building her musical empire (and later on having to shoo of Vox who begged her to join his up and coming ‘Television’ idea after Alastor shot him down).
“Oh I’d hardly call it forgiving.” Alastor said,”I get constantly reminded about it every day, multiple times a day. You wonder why it took us 60 years to even get engaged.”
(Y/n) just rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. Alastor smirked, looking over at his wife.
“Well, what else was I supposed to do? The man kept coming by begging me every week for TWENTY YEARS!! Lovesick puppy if you ask me.”
Charlie squealed, hugging onto Vaggie. “Look Vaggie! That could be us one day!!”
“I hope not” Vaggie said,” A freaky cannibalistic overlord and his delusional companion. I’m fine with staying as us.”
“No Vaggie! I meant married! Wouldn’t that be fun!! Married for a long time!! Forever!!”
While Charlie was helping Vaggie stop short circuiting, (Y/n) and Alastor just looked at one another with a knowing glance. Alastor took her hand and kissed her knuckles, smiling up at her.
“Thank you again my dear, for letting me back into your life. I’m eternally sorry for what I did.”
“I know you are Alastor, plus I’d be dead already now regardless.” (Y/n) giggled,”I still don’t know what overcame me that day. I mean, who lets someone back into their life after doing that!! I am glad I did though. It’s like you said in that apology, I have a husband, I have a huge music career, but I’m not living, technically, but it feels like it!!”
Alastor chuckled,”that’s right, my precious doe. Now, I am off to go grab lunch for the both of us! If you excuse me, I shall make a trip down to the Cannibal District, and then over to the grocery store for your food!”

ᡣ𐭩 I WISH I WAS YOUR GIRL
FEATURING: dazai osamu
SUMMARY: you don't know why dazai has suddenly become so standoffish with you the last week—there's something that everyone isn't telling you, but you can't even bring yourself to make that your biggest concern. you're just so at your limits with the back and forth with him that you can't concentrate on anything else. mishima is hosting a ball is this evening and you think that this is it: if things are going to happen between the two of you, it'll be tonight or it'll be never. you can't wait forever on someone who's just going to string you along the rest of his life. you won't.
(wordcount: 6.3k; fem!reader, sfw but a bit of tension, angsty)
AUTHOR'S NOTES: hihihihiiiiiii guys ^.^ happy friday. we've gotta angsty fic for tonight. i fear this one does not end happily but TRUST the universe does <33 but angst is necessary to move the plot forward. the price you pay for a happy ending is an angsty path there. specially dedicated to my beloved sophie who hates angst <33 happy birthday luvr
You are severely unhappy.
You finished getting dressed almost an hour ago, but you still haven’t left your room. You’re sitting at your vanity staring at yourself—you’ve changed your jewelry three times already, and you’re about to change it a fourth. It’s not that you’re not satisfied with how you look, it’s more that you’re just frustrated and fidgety.
More than that, you’re upset. Dazai hasn’t spoken to you in a week, and you don’t even know why. It has something to do with the incident that happened a week ago with the child called Kyusaku, but you’re not sure what because you don’t know what was real and what was concocted by the child’s ability after you were affected by it.
As much as Dazai likes to pretend to be aloof and unbothered, he’s easily worked up by small things, and he’s been upset with you before, but never like this. He’ll usually sulk where he knows you’ll see him and wait for you to ask him what’s wrong so he can use the opportunity to guilt you into watching a shitty movie or going out to buy him snacks.
But this? Radio silence. He came up to your apartment once when you weren’t here to do his laundry and was gone before you got back. You don’t even know where he’s been staying, because you went looking for him at the shipping container and he wasn’t there. You don’t know what happened. You guys were good, more than good—you really thought that maybe the two of you were making progress past this awkward more than friends, not lovers stage, but now it’s back to square one. Worse than square one, because at least at square one, he was still talking to you.
A low whistle comes from the entrance to your room and you raise your eyebrows as you look up in the mirror, catching sight of Chuuya leaning against the doorframe, head tilted to the side as he observes you. He’s already dressed up—out of his normal outfit and in a sleek black suit instead, he looks different without his hat, but you don’t even have it in you to make a teasing comment about it. You can’t help the disappointment that clogs your throat at the sight of him: you’d still been holding out hope that Dazai would show up.
“I forgot how nice you cleaned up,” Chuuya murmurs. “It’s been a minute since we attended an event together.”
You turn in your seat to face him, eyes roving over his form once before you say, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you without your hat. I almost thought you might be balding beneath it.”
Chuuya instantly rolls his eyes as he pushes himself off the door frame to make his way over to you. You give him a simpering smile as you look up at him, but you can tell it doesn’t reach your eyes from the way he frowns at you. He reaches out to straighten the necklace you’re wearing and then holds a gloved hand out to help you up, ever the gentlemen.
Even though it’s unnecessary, you still take it and sigh as you rise to your feet, smoothing out your dress once you’re upright. You look up at him and ask, “I take it you’re the one escorting me tonight.”
“Don’t sound too pleased,” Chuuya replies dryly, holding out his arm for you. You sigh as you hold his bicep loosely, making your way to the elevator. “He still hasn’t talked to you?”
“Not once,” you answer bitterly. “I thought for sure he would get over whatever his problem is to be my escort tonight, but I guess not. I don’t even know what happened, Chuuya. I feel like people just aren’t telling me something.”
As soon as the words leave your mouth, your gaze is cutting to the side to observe Chuuya’s reaction. He grimaces instantly and averts his gaze, and you take in a deep breath, realizing you hit it right on the nail. What the hell are they hiding from you? You know now isn’t the time to get into it, but you make a note in the back of your head to do some snooping as to what really happened during the incident last week.
“Interesting,” you say, just to let Chuuya know that he needs to work on his poker face. He catches the implication and sends you a scowl, but you only raise your eyebrows at him with a small smile, waiting for the elevator to come up to your apartment. “He’s not coming tonight at all then?”
“No, he’s coming,” Chuuya corrects absently and the smile on your face freezes.
“Is that so?” you ask tightly. “Who is he attending with then?”
Chuuya gives you a long, knowing look as the elevator gets to your floor, holding it open and waiting for you to step in before joining you. You’re tense as you wait for his answer, and you know he’s getting back for the balding comment with how long he’s taking to give you it.
“No one,” he finally says, and you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. Chuuya barks out a laugh. “Jesus, you’re so embarrassing—get yourself together. Who the fuck would actually be his date? No one wants to get within ten feet of him.”
You give Chuuya a withering look and then reply primly, “I would.”
“The entire Mafia knows that,” Chuuya says dryly, making your face hot. “You make me sick.”
“Likewise,” you scoff and pointedly look away from him. After a few seconds pass, you ask, “Are you sure he’s not bringing anyone?”
Chuuya groans. “What would it even change if he does?” he asks, which does not settle your nerves at all. “You’re just going to work yourself up thinking about it.”
“It changes whether or not I’m going to have Akutagawa Ryuunosuke on standby to eliminate a potential threat to Dazai’s life,” you say with a sweet smile. “Assassins come in many forms, but most frequently in dates at big events. We shouldn’t take that risk with our most valuable executive, naturally.”
Chuuya’s jaw drops as he fully turns to look at you. “Sometimes, I wonder why you like that fucked up bastard so much, and it’s only very rarely that I’m reminded that you’re just as evil as he is.”
“I’m kidding,” you complain, waving him off. Although, now that the thought is in your head, it’s becoming increasingly more appealing. “I think.”
The elevator doors slide back open and Chuuya holds his arm out for you again. You take it, lifting your hand to wave at Hinata, an older man who's been working with the Port Mafia since longer than you’ve been alive. He ran with Hirotsu in the Black Lizards before he was hurt on a mission and put on desk duty—you stole him from Mori when you came back from Kyoto. On paper, he’s just your doorman, but he’s helped you a lot with mission planning the past year and a half; you honestly contribute half of your success to his experience.
“Good luck tonight, hime, Nakahara-san,” Hinata says as the two of you make your way out of the building.
You let out an exaggerated sigh and toss your head to the side to look back at him with a smile. “Hinata-san, you should come and be my date instead of this bum.”
“Why am I always catching strays from you?” Chuuya scowls, but you ignore him as you flutter your eyelashes at Hinata, who only laughs at you.
“I’m far too old for that to work on me, hime,” Hinata replies. “I’ll have the scout reports from Sapporo ready by the time you get back tonight.”
“My hero,” you sing. “Thank you.”
You wave at him one last time before leaving the building with Chuuya. As soon as you’re out of sight, your smile drops and Chuuya gives you a concerned look, stopping before the two of you can get in the car so he can turn to look at you head on.
“Do you think he’ll show up with someone to spite me?” you ask quietly.
You know Dazai—he doesn’t like feeling wounded, so when he does, he lashes out tenfold. He gets cruel and vicious, and because he’s Dazai, he knows exactly what to do to make people hurt more than he does. You don’t know what you did to upset him, but it has you on edge now because it will hurt if he shows up with someone else, knowing that you were waiting for him back at your apartment.
Chuuya says your name quietly, and because it’s not an immediate ‘no’, you know that he knows that Dazai might very well stoop that low to hurt you. You swallow thickly and look away—it’s fine. You’ll act unbothered, you have an appearance to keep up and that’s more important than anything. And anyway, it’ll hurt him even more when he doesn’t get the reaction he wants from you.
“Hey, look,” Chuuya says, forcing your attention back on him. “Dazai’s being a fucking dick, alright? But what else is new? You look beautiful—make him regret that you’re not coming in on his arm, yeah?”
You smile softly and look away before saying, “It’s unnerving when you’re sweet.”
You don’t have to look at Chuuya to know he’s rolling his eyes at you. You hear him open the car door for you and sigh as you look back over to him.
“C’mon,” he says. “Let’s go.”
———
As always, your entrance is something to marvel over. It never fails to be the highlight of the night, and it’s only more of a spectacle when you enter on the arm of Nakahara Chuuya.
Lingering looks in your direction, wary stares in his—you’re grateful that he came to escort you, because if you’d come alone, you would’ve swarmed with suitors as soon as you got down the steps. Chuuya is not quite as much of a deterrent as Dazai would’ve been, if only because Chuuya won’t actually kill someone in the middle of Mishima’s ball and nobody can ever be sure of what Dazai is capable of, but his presence and reputation will keep unwanted annoyances away for most of the night at least.
By the end of the night, they’ll get more desperate for a conversation, and only Dazai and Mori himself are capable of keeping them away from you at that point, unless Chuuya steps up his game, of course, but he has as much of an appearance to keep up as you do. You’re not looking forward to it—your eyes keep darting up to the ticking clock, knowing each passing second draws closer to suffering.
You didn’t even want to come tonight. You weren’t going to come, you’d gone to quite the lengths trying to fake being sick, and you thought you succeeded until Mori messaged you this morning telling you that you could either come to the event or go deal with Shikibu Murasaki’s little stunt in Sapporo that has your biggest weapon supplier backing out on your next shipment. Since he knew very well you didn’t want to deal with that, the only option was to come to the ball—someone must’ve ratted you out to him, but you don’t know who. You almost think it must’ve been Chuuya, because Dazai hasn’t spoken to you in over a week.
You still haven’t seen him, which you suppose is a good thing because if he was going to shove in your face that he came here with someone else, then he would’ve done it by now. You aren’t even sure if he’s here; you’ve tried to keep an eye out for him, positioning yourself in a way that your gaze can always stray to the edges of the room in hopes of catching sight of him, but you haven’t seen him at all in the three hours that you’ve been here.
You’re standing with Chuuya and two of Mishima’s daughters now. Noriko keeps trying to shift closer to you, lashes fluttering and lips curled up into a soft smile. Usually, you would entertain the girl—she’s pretty, and at the very least, makes for entertaining conversation, which is more than you can say for the rest of the Sun and Steel upper echelon, but you’re so occupied with Dazai that she can hardly hold your attention for more than a few seconds.
“I haven’t seen him at all tonight,” you say quietly when Mishima himself comes over to your small group, a stern expression on his face as he beckons his daughters over before giving both you and Chuuya an apologetic look. “Have you?”
“No,” Chuuya says, taking a sip of his champagne as he leans against the wall. “I know he said he was coming though.”
Your expression twists in annoyance as you take in a deep breath. Your glass is empty, and usually, there are people circling to keep them full—your old mentor always used to warn you not to fall for the trap. The hosts of events always like to liquor up the attendees; drunker you are, the looser your lips, and you’re usually quite careful to keep it to one drink and never finish your second.
Tonight, you are on your fifth. Dangerous work, because you’re still going to have to entertain people when they inevitably start coming up to you—which is any minute now, you can feel the lingering stares and you can see how people are creeping closer. But you’re just so bothered by everything with Dazai that every time you finish a glass, you’re seeking out the next to try to numb your nerves.
“You know something,” you accuse quietly, giving Chuuya a cold side-eye. He stiffens, but neither confirms nor denies, which is a confirmation in itself. “Why won’t you tell me?”
“I can’t,” Chuuya says tightly, and you raise your eyebrows because you expected him to say ‘it’s not for me to say’ like he usually does when he feels like you should hear something from someone else. He can’t, does that mean… “I just…”
“You can’t because you’ve been ordered not to,” you realize, face shifting in confusion. “Mori ordered you not to. What happened during the incident last week, Chuuya?”
The expression that crosses Chuuya’s face is haunted, and it makes your mouth dry, because what the hell happened and why is no one telling you the truth? You don’t even get the chance to badger him about it, because Noriko and Michiko are coming back over, both of them looking incredibly displeased by whatever their father said.
“He’s so annoying,” Noriko complains, immediately clinging to your arm and resting her head against your bicep dramatically. “You two are so lucky that you don’t have parents to helicopter you like he does.”
You and Chuuya immediately exchange a look at her words, and even Michiko cringes a little, but you otherwise don’t react beyond just trying to not roll your eyes. These girls are so out of touch with reality that it’s almost concerning, but they, more than anyone else at this event, have loose lips that you like to take advantage of.
“No,” you sigh lightly, “I only have Mori. Somehow, I feel that’s worse.”
Noriko giggles like you’ve said the funniest thing in the world, and you miss Dazai desperately. At least him being here would have Mishima’s daughters acting a little more subdued, would maybe even chase them off. You don’t like how they act around him because you know it used to bother him, but you’re not gonna complain when you could be benefiting from it if he wasn’t being an ass.
She starts to say something else, but before she can, Chuuya’s eyes shoot open as he looks at something behind you. You instantly straighten, turning your head to follow his gaze and your breath catches when it lands on just who you thought would draw that reaction from Chuuya.
Dazai.
He’s finally made his appearance, and you can’t draw your eyes away from him. He never gets dressed up for these events like you and Chuuya do, so he’s still wearing that same black three-piece suit he wears every day, just without the dark trench coat he usually wears over it. He’s leaning against the far wall, arms crossed over his chest and a cold expression on his face as he stares in your direction. He doesn’t meet your gaze, but he does stare at where Noriko is clinging to your arm, lip twitching in irritation; Noriko seems to notice too from the way she lets go of your arm and tries to casually shift away from you, an annoyed look on her face as she does.
You hear her let out a noise of disgust, side-eyeing in Dazai’s direction, and you raise your eyebrows at her pointedly. You know that it was directed toward Dazai’s sudden appearance, but you’re not about to sit here and let that slide, so you turn a cool look onto her in response. Noriko instantly looks down to the ground, an ashamed look crossing her face—not for the disparaging attitude toward Dazai, but for being obvious enough for you to notice it.
You feel a bit more tense now as you force your attention off of Dazai back to Chuuya, who exchanges a short look with you before pointedly glancing over to where one of Mishima’s newer executives, Ibuse Masuji is whispering with one of his colleagues, looking in your direction a bit too frequently for comfort. He’s going to come over and ask you for a dance soon, probably around the same time Michiko starts tugging Chuuya in the direction of the hardwood floor at the center of the room—Noriko won’t ask you now that Dazai is here.
Wonderful, you think to yourself bitterly. You don’t really want to deal with Ibuse tonight, but you suppose you’ll probably get better information from him than Noriko. Noriko likes to ramble about more general gossip—who’s sleeping with who, who’s mad at who, and all of that is useful to an extent when you need to figure out what’s going on with Sun and Steel internal politics, but Ibuse has loose lips about more meaningful matters, and you’ve heard some nerve-wracking rumors about the Red Chamber recently.
The things you do for the Port Mafia.
You straighten your necklace, gaze lifting to Chuuya again as you withhold a sigh. You can see Ibuse starting to make his way across the event hall in your direction, and Chuuya gives you a pitying smile that instantly freezes as his eyes pin to something behind you again. You also freeze, because you know it could only mean one thing.
Dazai is coming over.
You raise your eyebrows at him pointedly, wanting to know whether or not Dazai’s approach is a good or bad one—if he’s coming over to finally address you, or if he’s coming over so he can more blatantly ignore you. Each one is equally possible, and the way Chuuya grimaces and shrugs only makes your anxiety spike more.
But you get your answer as soon as he arrives.
You inhale sharply when you feel Dazai’s fingers brush over your hip as he comes to stand directly behind you. You can feel his chest brushing your back, his presence warm and looming directly behind you. With his sudden arrival, the conversation happening between Noriko and Michiko comes to an abrupt halt, and you can see Ibuse freeze mid-step from where he was drawing closer to you. The two girls avert their gaze to the ground, not acknowledging Dazai, and it irritates you, they’ve never hidden how unnerved Dazai makes them, and though you don’t think it bothers him anymore, you know very well it used to.
Your throat spasms when Dazai’s hand settles more firmly on your hip, and you turn your head slightly to the side to look up at him, breath catching when you find that his gaze is already lidded and focused on you, visible eye far too dark and tongue darting out to wet his lips.
“Dance with me,” Dazai murmurs, only for you to hear.
“You want to dance?” you ask, a bit incredulously, trying not to be hyper-focused on how he’s touching you. You don’t know what has gotten into him, but it has your heart racing. “Dazai, what-”
“Dance with me.”
It’s not a request, you realize, taking in a sharp breath as his gaze becomes more intense. You can feel curious eyes on you from around the room; it’s to be expected, it’s you and Dazai. Of everyone here, the two of you always have the most eyes on you at all times, but it’s different now.
Dazai usually keeps to himself during events, he wanders up and down the length of the room, keeping to the edges to observe what’s happening unless he’s looking for information from someone. He really stays true to his moniker, a black wraith haunting the shadows and keeping everyone on edge. You can’t remember the last time he willingly stepped out of them to interact with people, much less engage in things like dancing.
“Okay,” you agree quietly, not even bothering to look back at your previous companions as Dazai’s hand slides from your hip to your lower back, guiding you to the hardwood floor where several other couples are already swaying along to the music being played by the quintet in the corner of the room. “What’s gotten into you?”
Dazai doesn’t answer your question, looking down at you from the corner of his eye for a moment before looking back ahead. He doesn’t have to search for a spot on the dance floor—as soon as people realize that’s where he’s headed, they’re quick to leave a wide berth for the two of you, no one wanting to get too close to the most infamous Port Mafia executive.
Your heart races as he leads you to the center of the hardwood floor. Though you can feel dozens of eyes pinned on the two of you, all you can focus on is him. You can hardly breathe when he turns to face you, one hand resting on your hip while he holds the other out for you to take. You swallow thickly as you place your hand into his. He entwines your fingers with his instead of the traditional palm-to-palm, and he pulls you toward him so that your chests are brushing. You’re so close to him that you catch the faint and familiar scent of smoke and iron and it makes you dizzy.
Distantly, you know that this probably isn’t smart. If people think that you and Dazai are together, it will only be harder for you to get information from them. They’ll be wary around you in fear of him, and you’re not even sure if your ability will be enough to counteract the anxiety he triggers in people. You shouldn’t be risking that just for a dance, but…
But you can never think straight when he’s around, even less when his skin is warm against yours, and the way he’s looking at you… His dark eye is heavy with so many emotions, too many for you to even place a single one—you’ve always been good at reading people, but never him, and now, more than ever, you wish you could. You want to know what he’s thinking. You want to know what he’s feeling. You want to know him, because as much as you claim you do, you know that he masks himself from you. You want to ask him again—what’s gotten into you? Why have you been avoiding me? But you think it’ll scare him off, so instead, you ask:
“When did you learn to dance? Today?”
He’s better than you thought he would be. He effortlessly spins you across the dancefloor. Each step is quick and precise—you’ve had training in this type of dancing, but you still struggle a little to keep up with him. Though, you think it’s less because of your own skill, and more because of who exactly your partner is.
“What makes you think I haven’t known how?” Dazai drawls, voice low and languid, dark eye glittering with amusement. His grip on your hand tightens just a little as he pulls you into a half-spin. He presses when you don’t immediately respond, “Hm?”
“Because you’re you,” you finally answer with a fleeting smile. “So? When did you learn?”
“Tonight,” he tells you. “I’ve been watching them.”
“Hah,” you say—of course he’s this good just through observation. Ever the mirror. “You better not embarrass me.”
“Like this?” he asks with a smile that puts you on edge, and you give him a dirty look when he purposely takes a wrong step, forcing you to overstep in order to not land on his foot. You’re careful to make it look casual—a wider turn rather than a misstep—but with the number of eyes currently on the two of you, you know very well that people probably caught it. His apology comes in the form of an airy, “Whoops,” that you know he doesn’t mean.
His lips curl up into a smug smile, and your breath catches when you feel his hand slide from your hip to your low back so he can pull your body flush to his for the next turn. Your throat spasms as you tilt your head back to look up at him, and again, there’s that unreadable look in his eye as his eyes rove over your face.
“Why?” you finally brave yourself to ask, voice quiet and too breathy for your liking. You don’t specify what the why is, and that’s intentional, this way he can pick what he wants to answer and won’t feel as cornered by the question.
His visible eye narrows for a moment, and then something akin to reluctance spreads across his face, and then resignation. You wonder if he’ll answer, hardly even able to breathe as you wait for him to speak. But after a few tense moments, disappointment hits you hard, because a teasing smile spreads across his lips and you know he’s going to evade the question.
Still, your heart races when Dazai dips you down, lowering his face so that his lips brush your ear as he says, “You looked like you were bracing yourself for a bullet with Ibuse getting ready to come over. Figured I’d rescue you.”
Though the music continues, Dazai doesn’t lift you from the dip. He does pull his face back so that he can look you in the eye. He’s so close to you that you can feel his warm breath fanning across your lips and it leaves you dizzy. The look in his eye now—you almost want to dare to believe you know what it is—it’s too close to the same emotion you feel whenever the two of you are curled up on the couch watching a movie. It’s too similar to longing, yearning, the desperate need for more, the desire to be yours just as badly as you want to be his, but you don’t want to get your hopes up when you know he can crush them in an instant.
His gaze drops down to your lips and then drags back up to your face, and you know he won’t kiss you, not in front of all of the eyes currently pinned on the two of you. Not in front of Mori. It’s nice to imagine though.
“Is that really why?” you breathe out, eyes searching his for an answer.
Something new crosses his face—it’s sharp and it’s angry, something that promises violence, not toward you, but toward the one who provoked it. His gaze cuts to the side briefly in the direction of where Ibuse Masuji is still standing frozen in the middle of the event hall, staring at the two of you, and then he looks back down at you, lips tilted up into a wry smile.
“Partially,” he says, but doesn’t give you the chance to question any further, finally pulling you up from the dip to fall in line with the last steps of the dance.
He turns you so that your back is pressed to his chest, palm cupping the back of your hand, fingers interlaced. His free hand slides around to your abdomen, holding your body flush to his. The music slows as the song comes to an end, but Dazai doesn’t release you. You turn your head to the side and tilt your head back to look up at him, inhaling when you find that he’s already looking at you, dark hair hanging in his lidded eye as he watches you.
“Are you… coming home tonight?” you finally ask, voice soft and hesitant.
“I’ll think about it,” he says, but his eye is glittering playfully, so you know that he’ll be home waiting for you by the time you get done at the event. He always manages to leave early—no one has the nerve to try to stop him. He dips his head a bit lower, lips ghosting your ear as he says, “You should thank me, you won’t have to worry about anyone else bothering you tonight.”
He finally lets go of you, your arms fall limp to your side and your breath is a bit too shaky for comfort. He tosses a wink in your direction before shoving his hands in his pockets and making his way back toward the outskirts of the room.
And he’s right—for the rest of the night, not a single person dared to approach you.
———
Even though you’re fairly certain Dazai will be there waiting for you, you still hold your breath as the elevator doors slide open to your apartment. Your feet are aching, you hardly got a chance to sit once during the night and you’re ready to curl up on the couch and watch a movie.
As you step into your apartment, you can’t help the way your heart drops when you don’t immediately see him, and you especially can’t help the relief that spreads through you when you realize he’s lounging on the couch, out of sight from the angle you entered at. At once, you can breathe again—you’ve missed him the past week, more than you ever could’ve imagined.
“Hi,” you say quietly, coming to stand at the foot of the couch.
Dazai shed his black waistcoat, his shirt is untucked and his tie is loose around his neck, head resting on the far armrest as he looks up at you with a lazy grin that lights your nerves on fire.
“Hi,” he echoes. “I picked a movie.”
“A good one I hope,” you tell him with a small smile. “Let me go get changed.”
You turn on your heel to make your way up the steps to your bedroom, but before you can get to the staircase, Dazai speaks up again, “Can you even reach the clip?”
You hesitate as you glance at him over your shoulder. You technically can, but… “No,” you reply, and then lie, “Chuuya helped me get it on.”
Dazai’s lips flatten, but he does push himself to his feet to follow you up the stairs. You spare a glance behind you, catching the hard expression on his face as he stares at your back. You raise your eyebrows at him and it instantly washes away, replaced with a teasing smile as he raises his right back at you. You squint at him, but shake your head as you reach the top of the stairs, stepping into your room.
When Dazai steps in after you, you swear the temperature in the room rises.
You turn to look at him, and he tilts his head to the side idly, dark eye dancing with amusement as he slowly approaches you. He looks a mess with how his shirt is untucked and his tie is loosely hanging around his neck, hair tousled from laying back on the couch—he looks a mess, and you’ve never wanted him more.
You’re sick of the back and forth with him—it’s been a year and a half of it and you’re tired—you want to be his, you want him to be yours. Every time you think Dazai might finally make the first move, he ends up taking fifty steps backward for whatever reason. You don’t want to push it because you have a feeling it will only make him even more standoffish. Tonight has been more progress than you’ve made in a while—if you and him are going to happen, it’ll be now or it’ll never happen. Your pride won’t allow you to chase and pine for any longer.
He comes to stand directly in front of you and you think he wants you to turn around, but just when you’re about to, he gives you a sharp smile that instantly has you on edge, and then he lowers himself to his knees in front of you. Your lips part in shock, heart beat stuttering in your chest.
“We should get these off first, right?” he hums, reaching down for the clasp of your heel, knowing damn well the effect he’s having on you from the smug expression on his face. Although you can’t help but notice that his eye is darker than usual, pupil blown wide as he undos the clasp and slides your heel off.
“Right,” you agree breathily, lashes fluttering when you feel the pads of his fingers press against your ankle as he places your foot back down on the ground before shifting to do the same for the other one.
This time, his throat bobs nervously and his fingers fumble over the clasp. When he finally gets the clasp off, he looks up at you through his lashes as he slides your heel off, but he doesn’t rise to his feet right away once he sets your foot down. Your fingers twitch at your side to reach out and brush them against his face, but you refrain, if only barely.
After what feels like an eternity, Dazai finally rises to his feet, and he’s standing all too close to you. You can feel the heat of his body, you have to tilt your head up to look at him and when you do, you can feel his breath against your lips.
“Turn,” he murmurs.
You swallow thickly as you do as he asks, and your breath audibly catches when you feel his fingers brush the nape of your neck as he shifts your hair out of the way. You expect him to tease you, but you realize his breathing is almost as unsteady as yours is, you can feel each puff against the back of your neck and it has your hair on end. Your lashes flutter as Dazai slowly unzips your dress, the cool air of your room stark in contrast to the line of fire left behind with each brush of his fingers against your spine.
When he gets the zipper all the way down, he doesn’t move away, hands settling on your hips as he hovers behind you. You think your heart might race right out of your chest, head foggy and unsteady on your feet.
For a few long moments, neither of you speak.
And then, you make a terrible mistake.
“Why have you been avoiding me the past week?” you ask quietly, desperate for some sort of answer as to what happened between the two of you that made him go cold on you like this. His grip on your hips tightens, and you instantly want to eat your words. “Dazai?”
He doesn’t even deign you with a response.
Your heart is lodged in your throat when you feel his hands drop from your hips and his presence leaving from behind you. You’re cold, your body is, your heart is, and now you really are unsteady without his hands to ground you. You whip around to face him, knees wobbly as you call after him again, but you don’t chase after him—not this time. Bitterly, you think you’ve spent the last year and a half chasing after him and all you ever get in return is him running away.
You watch him disappear down the steps, frozen in place because how did one question ruin everything. For the first time in weeks, you thought you were actually making progress with him and just like that, it’s back to square one. You feel like you don’t breathe until you hear the elevator arrive on your floor, signalling that he’s left.
“Shit,” you breathe out shakily, sitting back on your bed and burying your face in your hands. You can feel all of the champagne you drank earlier in the night threatening to come up and your head feels light. You fumble for your phone, clicking on a familiar contact and gasping his name as soon as he answers the call, “Chuuya?”
“Yo,” you hear him ask, concerned. “You good? Aren’t you with-”
“Can you come over?” you push out before he has the chance to say his name. “I just-I can’t do this anymore. I can’t keep waiting. I can’t-”
“I’m coming,” Chuuya tells you when your words cut out into a sob. God, you can’t remember the last time you cried like this. Your whole body aches as you pull your knees to your chest and rock yourself back and forth trying to calm yourself down. “I’ll be there in five. I’m coming.”
You told yourself before that it was tonight or never, and you’re done waiting for him. No matter how badly it hurts to force yourself to move on—you’re done.
You have to be, for your own sake.

Hazbin Hotel:
Human!Alastor x Housewife!Reader
~Understanding Asexuality~
Warnings‼️- Established relationship, angst to fluff, mentions of pregnancy, fem!reader, maybe OOC Alastor??, mentions of cannibalism but only for like one sentence.
Setting is Alastor’s time period, 1900-1930s.
A/N: I hope I did Alastor’s character justice! He might be slightly out of character?? I can’t imagine him actually getting in a relationship, I mean man is literally a serial killer- so I tried- ENJOY
~I would also like to say, I am not asexual or aromatic myself. This is just my take on Alastor’s sexuality/how he handles it. If I made any mistakes, please correct me but I tried to be as respectful as possible. I tried to do some research on the history of asexuality during the time period, but remember I am not perfect and this is a FAKE scenario with a FICTIONAL character.~
You like to think you know your husband like the back of your hand.
The two of you got married young, falling hard for the young radio host was easy. Many other maidens had, their affections for Alastor painfully obvious. All the while Alastor had no plans on perusing any of the women who fancied him. He was love blind, not really understanding the amount of people attracted to him, or why they were.
What wasn’t to like? He was an attractive young man, charming, and a true gentleman. But the idea of settling down, having to commit himself to one individual the rest of his life, didn’t appeal to him.
Especially with how tainted his brain was with his little hobbies.
He never got the special feeling everyone spoke about. Butterflies, increased heart palpitations, sweaty palms. The mere thought of it was enough to have his face contorting in mild disgust.
That opinion didn’t change when he met you. There was no ‘love at first sight’ feeling for him. You were polite and put together and that was something Alastor could appreciate. He didn’t quite understand your advances towards him. Seeing your interest towards him as friendly banter, while you saw his reactions to it as rejection.
You accepted his dismissal of your feelings, knowing you had given it your best shot. It didn’t stop Alastor from adoring your company. Whether it be on the dance floor or attending the diner you worked at. You were an incredible friend to him, nothing more.
Safe to say, Alastor didn’t suddenly catch feelings for you. There was no sudden change in his feelings.
But there were whispers
Unwanted Attention being brought on Alastor.
Gossip was high. Many mouths questioning Alastor’s true intent with you. Why was he always along side such a pretty thing without courting her? Were the two of you involved in secret affairs?
The theories grew, and while Alastor loved the attention being a radio host brought him, gossip was bad if he needed to keep his personal life under wraps. Besides, what kind of gentleman would he be if he let others tarnish your good name? Getting with you was more of an effort to fit into norms rather than it being for ‘true love’.
Slowly he showed signs of affection towards you. Holding your hand in public, taking you on more proper dates, even kissing your cheek once or twice when he saw hushed whispers from nearby crowds. The affection was sudden, but not unwelcome to you. Your feelings had never truly gone away for the radio host, and you pinned his original rejections on him being shy.
It wasn’t long after his advances he asked your official partnership. To be frank, you were easy and Alastor needed a cover. His true intentions were cruel, but you were blindsided by your longtime crush and friend being interested in you.
But you weren’t completely naïve.
While yes, you loved Alastor with all your heart, you knew in the back of your mind he had ulterior motivations. Every chaste kiss, every hand hold, every hug, felt rushed and nervous. Your whole relationship with Alastor felt fast paced, as only a few months after having the gall to ask you out, he was asking you to marry him.
It felt forced.
The feeling you tried to ignore, hoping it was just your insecurities causing the sinking feeling in your gut. You of course said yes to Alastor’s proposal. Knowing deep down you loved him and should not question if he did so in return.
Before you knew it, you were dressed in white in front friends and family, listening to wedding bells chime gleefully.
You could recall joyous laughter and dancing, talking about your soon future with the radio host whose last name you had now shared. Sharing drinks with friends to celebrate you ‘winning’ over Alastor. It all moved so fast yet you were happy with the results.
Alastor couldn’t have agreed more considering the chatter about the two of you had died down ever since his proposal. (Besides a few heartbroken maidens who heard the handsome host was officially off the market) Less eyes were on him which was good for the estranged hobbies he would indulge in.
You and Alastor moved in together and it felt like smooth sailing.
Until the next thing people expected from the two of you. That of course being children.
Alastor and you would constantly hear all about the subject from your mother, who was desperate to have some grandkids running around. At the mention of children you felt flustered and embarrassed, considering you and Alastor had yet to be intimate with one another.
It was through the subject, however, that sinking feeling returned. As your mother rambled on about grandchildren, you occasionally piped in with your own opinion. When your husband realized having children was something you actually wanted, you caught him grimacing at the idea.
The look he gave made your heart feel heavy in your chest. The sinking only worsened when he begrudgingly agreed with your mother, saying how the two of you would provide her with grandchildren with time.
Forced.
You felt guilty. You knew Alastor was lying with his words. It wasn’t like you hadn’t tried to seduce your husband before. It was actually something you expected to happen and for the radio host to initiate.
Alastor would be lying if he said he didn’t start to feel genuine fondness towards you. You knew him well, better than any other friend he had.
You knew his schedule, his habits, his preferences. It scared him how much you could read his mind like a book. All the reason more to keep you sheltered away from how cruel of a man he truly was.
You were simply too good for him. Too innocent.
But when it came to intimacy, the radio host showed absolutely no interest. Coming up with one excuse after another to not be intimate with you. His rejection left you feeling unwanted and almost abandoned. Your own husband didn’t seem to enjoy your affections and it hurt your heart. You started to question if you were the cause of his discomfort. Was he just not attracted to you? Were you being too pushy?
Your mind even wandered to the late nights Alastor would stay out. Was he seeing someone else, perhaps? He could have anyone he wanted really, despite your marriage, there were many women who would still flirt with him. Had one caught his eye that he favored over you?
Anxiety and insecurity riddled your body for a long time before you started to search for possible answers. After work, you would head to a library of the outskirts of town. You didn’t want anyone you knew possibly catching you wildly scanning through books for possible answers.
The library didn’t provide much comfort. You found unsatisfactory answers, many of which ended in advice on how to ‘properly seduce a man’.
You didn’t want to force your husband to be intimate with you. Making desperate attempts that would ultimately be denied as they had been in the past.
You dug a little deeper, with a lot of the same results. You were just at your wits end with all the repetitive failure to find anything that felt right. However, one article caught your eye. A book that had dusted over from the lack of acknowledgment. Out of luck you reached for it, hoping to find any answers. Reading through the contents, it opened a whole new world of terminology and knowledge about a community you didn’t know existed.
You found comfort knowing there were possibly other people like your husband. That his rejections could possibly be the cause of something else other than you. You decided to take the article home with you, along with a few others, to read into it more at home.
————————————————————————
Through your research, you had started to understand your husband’s behavior more and more. You wouldn’t truly know the answers unless you had simply asked him, but at the same time, it felt better to consider this an option than to believe something was wrong with your marriage.
There were other people who exhibited traits your husband showed when it came to intimacy. Those who didn’t enjoy such pleasures or desires. It was a spectrum, one that you had never heard of. But it all made sense the more you read into different people’s experiences.
Some people’s stories you read stated how intimacy rarely crossed their mind. Before, you had only heard stories of friends being hyper sexual, with high sex drive that would oftentimes cause high gossip. It made sense that there were bound to be people at the other end of the stick, who felt the opposite. Of course they could acknowledge it was a thing. However the need/want to experience such things would rarely and sometimes never spark. It didn’t make these people strange or less human, it was simply how they felt.
You hear the door swing open, interrupting your thoughts. You swear to yourself silently, hurrying to close the books and articles you were reading up on. You shove the disorganized papers into the large book, then shove it underneath the table, out of view. You stand, brushing off your dress, and quickly go over to the stove.
“Hi honey! You’re home early.” You shout across the house to your husband. You grab your apron, messily tying the back of it.
“Oh I finished up early today, thought you would enjoy the surprise.” Alastor’s voice responds, his footsteps approaching the kitchen.
Grabbing a pot, you fill it with water as Alastor enters the room. He approaches you, putting a finger under your chin and bringing you closer. He gives your cheek a small peck, his fingers barely grazing your hip.
Forced.
You smile towards your lover, setting the full pot over the unlit stovetop. Adrenaline runs through your veins as you watch Alastor go and sit at the table. You clear your throat, avoiding looking at your husband. You open up the cabinets, looking around for ingredients to start on supper.
“How was your day, love?” You ask, trying to be as casual as you could. Alastor caught on to your anxiety, but decided to ignore it. He hummed, adjusting his glasses on his face.
“As normal as any other, dear. There was actually quite the crazy story, today about-..” Alastor went on about his radio show and the topics he had covered. You nod occasionally to show you could hear him, but his words didn’t really process in your head. You couldn’t focus with you heart drumming in your ears. Pulling out random ingredients from the cabinets, trying to think of anything to make for dinner, Alastor continues to speak. His voice a source of comfort despite him unknowingly being the cause of your anxious behavior.
“..they apparently continued their actions anyway! Don’t these men have any class? I swear to you the nerve of… some.. folk..” You tuned back into Alastor’s rambling just as he hear him start to trail off. You hear his seat pull back, making a creaking noise as he leans back and looks under the table. Feeling his gaze on you for a moment, you don’t dare to look back at your husband. He had seen what you tried to poorly hide.
Alastor leans down, grabbing the book with articles sticking out of the side. He hums, opening the book a skimming over the contents of what he found.
“Darling, what’s all this?” He asks, eyebrows furrowing as he read through the article. Tensing at his tone, you avoid looking towards him and keep quiet. Your mind racing almost as fast as your heart. Your voice was caught in your throat, trying to come up with an excuse. Any excuse.
It takes a moment to gain your composure. Eventually you speak, after clearing your throat in an attempt to get rid of the lump stuck there.
“I was just.. doing some reading.. on uhm..” Gosh, this was embarrassing to admit. Your face flushes to pink as you continue, “I just had some concerns.. I suppose I was feeling a bit insecure about our relationship-..”
“Our relationship?” Alastor questions, staring daggers into your back. His tone showing signs of irritation and discomfort. You turn towards your husband. There was no hiding how you felt now. You couldn’t lie to him when he had the evidence in his hands.
“I.. suppose I was worried.. for my own selfish reasons. I got to wondering why you didn’t seem attracted.. to me.” Alastor glares slightly at your words, drumming his fingers against the table. He knew exactly what you meant with your words, his nose instinctively cringing up in mild disgust. He opens his mouth to speak again, but is cut off quickly by you.
“I know it’s something silly to be concerned about, it shouldn’t be a concern at all. I shouldn’t have questioned you. Dare I say it was wrong of me.” You quickly tried to explain to ease your husbands silent anger.
Alastor stayed quiet, teeth gritting as his all too fake smile cracked at the seems. He felt on edge. He couldn’t have you questioning him like this, opening him up and making him vulnerable. You made him question how well he was really hiding his true identity. You could tap in to what he was feeling and it irked him. He cleared his throat, interwining his fingers together to create a cradle for his chin to sit.
“I don’t see how your concerns are important, dear. Our relationship is fine without such activities. Do you not believe that to be true? I love you, do I not?” Alastor asked, a small smile plastered on his face.
Forced
“Do you?” You find yourself asking before you can process the question yourself. Alastor’s wide eyes make you replay your words. You gasp, covering your mouth with both hands. What were you thinking??
Both you and your husband stay quiet for a period of time, staring at each other with wide eyes. Alastor breaks his gaze, looking towards the wallpaper design in the kitchen that suddenly interested him. Your voice catches in your throat. It felt like you couldn’t speak for what felt like forever. Heavy weight on your chest when you uttered the question you’d been keeping inside since you said your I do’s.
Taking a breath to regain yourself, you look towards the stove. Scattered abandoned ingredients of what dinner was supposed to be left there. You glance towards Alastor, voice barely a whisper as you speak to him.
“I understand..” Your muttered voice doesn’t reach him, causing him to look at you and turn his head. You see him in your peripheral vision, then repeat yourself;
“I understand if you don’t.. or if you don’t want to partake in any.. intimate actions with me..” You start, grabbing a potato that had been abandoned on the counter. You start to rinse it under the sink water.
“From what I’ve read, you’re not alone. There apparently are men and women alike who don’t share an interest for sexual acts and behaviors. You’re not the only one..”
“I’m not accusing you of anything.. I’m not trying.. to make you feel bad. I just wanted to understand.. and I do. Please let me.”
Alastor stares at you while you speak. His silence feels like rejection. The same rejection you felt when you had first met him, but this was worse. Your heart ached, your chest felt tight, and your eyes felt like they were drowning in welled up tears.
You loved Alastor.
But never would you force him to return it.
You hear your husband stand from his place at the table, slow steps walking towards you. You feel his presence behind you. You silently prepare yourself for an onslaught of ‘how dare you’s and ‘who do you think you are’s.
Instead you feel warm hands hook underneath your arms, pulling you back towards Alastor’s body. Your body tenses, as you drop the vegetable you were once washing into the sink. Alastor leaned forward, resting his nose in the crook of your neck. Leaning down and hugging you tight.
Flood gates open as soft tears spill down your flushed cheeks. You gently hold onto Alastor’s arm with one hand, trying to stay perfectly still as if your husband were a stray animal. As if you move, he’d flinch away.
Alastor pulls away from your neck, looking at your face. His hand reaches up, standing straight, as he caresses one of your cheeks. He smears the tears across your cheek in an attempt to wipe them away, before leaning into you. Breath hitting yours before his lips meet yours.
Authentic
You’d never felt such a gentle and loving kiss from your husband. It felt so genuine and kind. You kiss back weakly, only hoping to make him feel the warm feeling he gave you.
Alastor never truly did understand his admiration for you. He never regretted marrying you. Of course you were always a good friend for him, one that he would work hard to keep safe. To keep you hidden away from who he was. Your happiness was always in the back of his mind as an essential. Sure he hated how you read him so easily, like it was second nature. But he hated it because if you knew the truth, you wouldn’t be safe.
He hated it because a part of him did love you.
Pulling away from the kiss, Alastor keeps you close to him, watching more soft tears fall down your face. He brings his other hand up, letting you face him while he grabs out a handkerchief from his pocket. Gently dabbing away the tears on your face, he looks at you with such soft eyes. Such genuine eyes.
“Thank you.” Is all he says. It wasn’t a satisfying answer. You wanted more than anything a long list of answers to all your worries.
But invisible weight lifts off your shoulders. Closing your eyes and letting out a breath that felt much deserved to let go. It was a solution, an answer no matter how much it truly did explain. You had made an effort to understand your husband, when most would force their ways through the barriers he set around himself. That was something Alastor could appreciate.
He never understood why you took the time in your life to be patient. Be understanding. How an angel like you ended up with the demon he was.
But he hoped you wouldn’t regret it just the way he never regretted you.
——————————BONUS———————————
“…and I told her, if she ever had a problem with him again, take it up with me! And just like that, her husband was on a platter! Such a shame, his body was almost as disgusting as his behavior!”
Alastor sipped his tea as he listened to Rosie ramble. He never broke his gaze away from her, hanging on to every word she had to say. He delicately set down his cup on the porcelain saucer. Everything about Rosie.. her charm, her personality, her humor.
It all lead back to the thought of you. Someone he admired and felt comfortable with.
“Are you alright, Al? You’re kinda gawking over there..” Rosie asked, practically seeing the gears turning in Alastor’s head. Alastor blinked out of his thoughts, watching Rosie give a smile at him and tilt her head.
“I’m fine, dear, it’s just..” Alastor glanced to the side, his signature smile softening into something genuine. “You remind me of someone.” He explained quietly.
The mention raised Rosie’s interest, ready for any gossip Alastor had to spill. She leaned in close, grinning ear to ear. “Ooo! Don’t be shy, who do I remind ya of?”
Alastor looked at Rosie and he could’ve sworn that in her midnight eyes, he could see yours. Staring back at him through his soul. How could he describe you? Someone who just knew him despite how hard he tried to hide. Someone who acknowledged him over and over again despite his own uncertainties.
“She was the dearest darling to ever grace the earth.” Alastor found himself muttering. Rosie melted at the compliment he not only gave you, but her as well. She saw genuine adoration in the radio demons eyes when he spoke of you.
While what you had with Alastor wasn’t entirely real, he wouldn’t have exchanged your marriage for anything. After all, when everyone else didn’t and refused to.
You understood.

The honeymoon phase in which Billy, notorious for his temper, somehow never gets mad at Steve, lasts far longer than anyone expected.
He’s very particular about his things, and likes to keep as strict of a schedule as he can — won’t eat dinner an hour early and doesn’t like being over ten minutes late to things — and to top it off, he’s possessive.
Not you can’t talk to anyone that isn’t me possessive, but more like please tell me where you’re going and what you’re doing so I know you didn’t get murdered possessive.
And Steve has the tendency to accidentally break some of Billy’s internalized, largely unspoken rules.
He’ll use something and forget to put it back, and Billy will try to keep his patience in check while Steve attempts to recall where he last saw the item in question. Steve prefers to be fashionably late, or at least use that as an excuse for why they haven’t left for a party until an hour and a half after it’s started.
Sometimes Billy will pregame or, more often than not, pace in front of the door with the keys in his hand. An angry red creeping up his neck.
Steve once went to Robin’s after work to help her move an art project into her mom’s car, and wound up shooting the shit for too long. At nearly the four hour mark, the Camaro pulls up to the curb, and the window rolls down.
He doesn’t lecture Steve, or even get out of the car, he just looks at him. The sunglasses hide his expression enough to make Steve just a little bit more nervous as he trots up to the window and leans down.
Especially when the blond’s jaw is clenched.
“I’m sorry, I’ll uh… I’ll call next time,” he says.
Billy nods once and Steve knocks on the door panel before the car pulls down the street.
It becomes a sort of inside joke, something that the kids and Robin poke fun at him for, that starts to make Steve a bit paranoid.
What will he do to piss Billy off so bad that he finally loses it?
Funnily enough, he starts trying harder to remember. To show up earlier, to call if he decides he isn’t coming straight home.
To not completely rearrange Billy’s hair products in the cabinet when he’s looking for hairspray.
He isn’t perfect but he’s trying.
The night that everyone has been waiting for finally arrives when they’re hosting one evening, and Steve breaks the cassette player.
With Billy’s Mötley Crüe tape stuck inside.
He scrambles to snag the cord from the outlet when it starts to make a whirring sound, an unnatural smell of heat rising from it like it might combust.
When Steve manages to unplug it, he also knocks the whole thing onto the ground with a crash.
The room is engulfed in total silence. Everyone is staring at him when he looks over his shoulder, some completely stunned while others, namely Robin, have huge shit-eating grins on their faces.
Billy comes into the room not a moment later, eyebrows slightly raised as he sips his newly-retrieved beer, eyeing the bits of broken plastic scattered on the floor at Steve’s feet.
The brunet makes a face. Can’t make himself keep looking at his boyfriend when his jaw clenches and his brows pinch together.
“I’m sorry,” Steve blurts. Kneels down to set the player upright, though even just touching it feels like he’s making things worse. “Maybe we can take it to Radio Shack and—“
“It’s busted,” Billy dismisses, voice even. He takes another swig and shakes his head. “Which tape?”
Another heavy beat of silence falls over the room as Steve stands up, wringing his hands together as he processes the question.
“Shout At The Devil,” Steve says.
Billy sighs. Rubs his free hand over his face and turns back into the kitchen, disappearing from the room entirely.
Meanwhile Steve’s heart is practically thundering in his ears.
“He’s gonna rip you a new one,” Robin whispers.
“And it’s gonna be bad,” Max adds.
Steve tenses up when Billy returns with his record player in his arms, shouldering through and setting it down, plugging it in. Then, he produces the very same album on vinyl.
“Sound’s better anyway,” he grumbles. Stands up. Looks at his work with approval before he glances at Steve, at which point he quirks a brow. “Hey, what’s the matter?”
The brunet presses his lips together and shrugs. Hot shame creeping up the back of his neck.
The simple fact that Billy didn’t so much as yell at him when he clearly wants to has Steve feeling… some type of way. Like maybe he isn’t getting what he deserves.
And that alone makes him feel shitty. Makes him feel like he’s forcing his partner to walk in eggshells just to not get mad at him.
“Maybe we should… have different stuff?” Steve suggests timidly. “Like, I could move my things into the other bathroom so we don’t have to share anymore, and stuff like that. I’ll— I can still, y’know, replace the cassette and the player since I—“
“Stevie,” Billy interrupts.
His voice is soft, matching his expression as he steps closer. Reaches out to rub up and down Steve’s arm.
It nearly makes the brunet’s lip wobble.
“Yeah?”
“Where’s this comin’ from? I like sharing with you,” Billy says. “I don’t love when things get broken or misplaced, but that doesn’t mean I want us to live with separate everything.”
Steve manages a nod.
“Okay,” he rasps.
Billy immediately closes in on him, reaching up with his free hand to brush his fingers against his cheek.
“Hey, what’s the matter?” Billy coos.
“You didn’t yell at me.”
“I know, that’s why I’m confused.”
Billy chuckles, and Steve bites his lip.
“You never yell at me. You never get mad at me when you’re supposed to, and—“
“Stevie,” Billy whispers. He’s smiling, still lovingly caressing Steve’s cheek. “I’m mad as fuck right now. You wrecked a $200 cassette player beyond repair, of course I’m mad.”
Steve swallows thickly. Furrows his brows.
“Then why are you being so calm?”
“Well, is yelling at you gonna fix it? Or magically make a new one appear for free?”
“No.”
“Then there’s your answer.” He leans in to press a kiss to the tip of Steve’s nose. “Also ‘cause I love you, and I don’t wanna yell at people I love.”
From the sofa, Max blows a raspberry with her lips.
“You yell at me all the time,” she huffs.
“You aren’t my future husband,” Billy retorts. Steve snickers, and Billy’s smile widens as he pushes a lock of hair behind Steve’s ear. “Besides, when I supposed to get mad at you?”
“Dunno,” Steve says. “Whenever I fuck something up?”
Again, Billy chuckles, and shakes his head.
“Did you get pissed when I broke the vacuum cleaner trying to clean that shag rug we wound up throwing out?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
Steve shrugs and gestures lamely with his hand.
“It wasn’t your fault.”
“Whose fault was it, then, if not mine?”
The brunet chews his lip for a moment.
“Well, it was an accident—“
“Ah, see?” Billy muses. “It’s hard to get mad at you for being innocent.” He ropes Steve closer, interlocking his fingers over the small of his back. “If you were doing shit on purpose, or didn’t care, that’d be a different story.”
Steve nods. Drapes his arms around Billy’s neck.
“I’m really sorry about the cassette player,” he says. “I know you saved up for it.”
Lips brush against his, and he can practically taste Billy’s smile.
“It’s okay, pretty boy. I’d rather listen to records with you than cassettes by myself.”
For a moment, Steve thinks he might cry, but then Billy is kissing him again. There’s a collective groan from their spectators, but Steve ignores them in favor of cradling his partner closer.
Because it was never a honeymoon phase to begin with.

Steve and Robin who go from Family Video to the radio station, hoping to get jobs as at least coffee gofers
But the 11pm team up and quits to move to a better slot in a better market and Steve and Robin are given the chance to fill in for the night. They do so well, get more call-ins than that time slot has gotten in months, they're promoted permanently.
Robin thought Steve would naturally step into the host's chair, was surprised when he went into the producer's booth instead. Steve hyped Robin up to take the mic, unsurprised when she knocked it out of the park.
Radio show host!Robin, who is smooth and funny and charming on air in a way she wishes she could be in real life.
Radio producer!Steve who responds to Robin with jokes and dry sarcasm and gets a bit of a following himself.
Obviously, this goes steddie somehow, either with canon meeting or au different meeting lol.
Maybe they play local, unknown Corroded Coffin during their music hour and that's how they get noticed. Eddie comes to the station to thank them for his big break and meets Steve.
Maybe Eddie is a regular caller who starts calling just to talk to Steve.
Maybe Steddie's already together and they need to navigate Steve and Robin being on a night work schedule.
I just want a Frasier/Roz vibe for Robin and Steve working at the radio station...but better love lives than Frasier and Roz lol
thank you @just-my-latest-hyperfixation for sharing the art! So many immediate plot bunnies!

Summarized transcript of the Twisted Radio episode with Octavinelle (and Jack) voice actors!! 🥳 (all is just paraphrased, not direct quotes, and Book 7 spoilers removed!)
Highlights:
・it is very long but if you read nothing else, i recommend just reading the opening talk about what animals they would be, because it is one of the greatest things in the world.
Begins with Jack’s VA Ban (🐺) introducing the show, as he is one of the regular hosts. He begins with explaining that last month’s recording with the Savanaclaw group was very pleasant.
Azul’s Tamaru (🐙) Jade’s Komada (🐬) and Floyd’s Okamoto (🦈) are this month’s guest!
🐺 talks about how 🐙 was a guest on the show in January, but 🐬 and 🦈 are appearing for the first time.
They have 🐬 say the Twisted Radio name (he was raised in Germany and is trilingual, with English and German), he does a good job with pronunciation ✨
Opening Talk
Topic decided last week: if you were beast-person, what kind of animal would you like to be based on?
Last week 🦁 said he would be a baby hippo, 🐺 said a housecat and 🍩 said red-eyed crocodile skink, which no one knows what it is ww
🦈 Komodo dragon. Because the name is cool.
🐬 There is something lizard about you, yes.
Now they are talking about how fast Komodo dragons are.
🐬 Rhino. They look really cool. With the horn and they are fast—not even a Komodo dragon would go after a rhino.
🦈 If I was a Komodo dragon, 🐬 as a rhino would be big—I wouldn’t go for him. Maybe just his pinky finger.
🐙 Capybara.
Everyone laughs.
🐙 I like baths. Capybara are always taking baths and look so comfortable.
🐬 A rhino and a komodo dragon and a capybara.
🦈 The capybara is on top.
🐺 None of this is what I’d imagined.
🐬 What did you imagine about us? I won’t hit you with my horn.
🦈 I won’t bite you with my poison teeth.
🐙 Let’s take a bath together.
Everyone laughs.
🦈 The nuance is a little different for just one of us.
🐺 I’d imagined cats or dogs or something. Everyone goes for cool animals.
🦈 We all go for wild things.
🐬 The capybara?
🐙 One of us is not as wild as the others.
Reading a letter from a fan
They say they love the new birthday series and are excited about the MyRoom look for Azul, Jade and Floyd and what to know what the voice actors where casually at home, and how they refresh themselves after a long day.
🦈 says that Floyd’s MyRoom look was exactly how he’d imagined it would be and he really liked it.
🐬 says he was surprised by Jade’s bedhead. It was so cute. Floyd’s was intense, too.
🐙 Floyd could have just kept his hair like that and it would have been fine.
🐬 I thought Jade was the type to say “good night” and fall asleep immediately and then wake up again in the exact same position in the morning, but he moves! I was impressed.
They talk about how it is a “gap” of Jade’s, the difference between what one would expect and how it actually is.
🐬 But those were exactly the pajamas I had imagined.
🦈 I imagine that 🐬 wears pajamas like Jade’s.
🐬 Incorrect.
🐺 Are you closer to Floyd’s, with the hoodie and the tank top?
🐬 I was until last year. It changed this year.
🦈 A bathrobe?
🐙 Do you sleep wearing the clothes you intend to wear the next day? So you can just wake up and go?
🐬 Efficient but no, that is not it. I wear recovery pajamas. They improve blood circulation and refresh you quicker. I’ve been wearing those all this year.
🦈 Those would be a good birthday present for someone.
🐺 What do you wear, 🦈?
🦈 Warm. I get cold easily. I wear down jackets on airplanes and things, even in summer.
🐺 What about you 🐙?
🦈 Something surprising, like a hoodie?
🐬 No, 🐙 might wear something like Jade’s pajamas.
🐺 I hope he wears a really embarrassing T-shirt.
🦈 Something that says TAMARU in hiragana or something.
🐙 I wear jersey pants and a T-shirt.
🦈 Half right.
🐙 I just wear clothes that I don’t want to wear outside and go to sleep.
🐺 My pajamas are like Jade’s.
🐬 What color?
🦈 Pink?
🐺 Not pink.
🐙 Checkered pattern?
🐺 Not checkered pattern. I wear sets of navy and black and brown on rotation.
🦈🐙 How adult.
🐺 This is embarrassing.
🦈 Can we turn that into an SSR 🐺-kun?
🐺 ME!?
🐬 SSR 🐺-kun, that’s good.
About Octavinelle
Impressions of Azul/Jade/Floyd, voicing Azul/Jade/Floyd, Main Story Review
Impressions of Azul
🦈 A cute character you can bully
🐙 I don’t think Azul would agree.
🐬 He probably looks like that from the perspective of other characters but actually he puts in effort and does what needs to be done.
🐙 He wants to be perfect, and his passion for that is amazing, there is a lot about him that can be teased. That is one of the things that is likable about him. Azul himself probably doesn’t think so at all.
Impressions of Jade
🐙 Jade might be the one who is most difficult to read of the three. The most mysterious.
🦈 I thought he was the most normal one, at first.
🐬 He behaves elegantly. But the words he uses and his atmosphere are…unique.
🦈 When he laughs…the Leech siblings, they have jagged teeth. Jade doesn’t laugh much, at first. But in one moment he will smile and show his teeth.
Impressions of Floyd
🐙 When he is having fun he becomes excited, and when he isn’t his mood crashes. And that is easy to understand about him.
🦈 He might be the easiest to understand.
🐙 But we don’t know the catalysts. And that is an unreadable point about him—he has that mysteriousness.
🦈 He loves strong people. He gets excited interacting with them.
🐬 The reason Floyd is able to do whatever he wants is because of Azul and Jade.
🦈 Jade acts like he is restraining him but he doesn’t.
🐬 He enjoys it.
🦈 He will say “I’ll hold him back” and then releases him and says “go have fun.” It’s a little tough for Azul, though.
🐙 Azul gets annoyed a bit.
🐬 Azul comes close to saying “I won’t allow this anymore!” but we know just how to soothe him again before he reaches his breaking point.
🐙 He’s kind of being played with in that way.
🐬 He’s being played with.
Voicing Azul
🐙 Recently I have to be more careful not to overdo it. Azul uses strong vocal inflections, but when I start enjoying it too much those inflections become even stronger and they have to tell me to calm down. I have to say “I’m sorry, I was having too much fun.”
🐺 Has your idea of Azul changed?
🐙 It’s evolved. In Book 3 there were serious scenes? Normal scenes without jokes for the story, and I portrayed him as a serious-minded character, but as the story progresses the jokes are increasing. Especially Book 7.
🦈 Book 7 is fun!
🐙 When they let me read the script I was like, “what?”
🐬 I didn’t really understand what was going on, at first.
🦈 ”Am I reading this right!?” was my response.
🐙 When we receive the script it is just set, so I would wonder what the illustrations would be like.
Voicing Jade
🐬 Elegance. His vocabulary is very distinctive, and there will be sudden eeriness that makes you wonder “What did he just say?” He needs to be misleadingly portrayed as a gentleman. He is interesting because just when you think “This is what Jade is like,” something unexpected will arise. Even in normal conversations I have to navigate very carefully to include intentionally unsettling elements without going too far, which would compromise his core personality. Elegance is key. The difficult thing about Azul and Jade is that they are both elegant. They’re both gentlemen. The way they deceive others with “we’re good people, we’re gentleman” is very similar, so in the beginning—it was right after 🐙 had settled on his portrayal of Azul--the team and I did a deep analysis into the way Jade should speak and the atmosphere he should create. There was the risk of overlapping with Azul, so we talked about giving him a higher or lower voice, and various things, and through a lot of trial and error we settled on how to differentiate them. The beginning was rough. We were worried that he sounded too much like Azul, so I would listen to the recordings of Azul’s lines to better understand.
🐺 But your impression of Jade hasn’t changed?
🐬 No, but progressing through the story Azul has changed a lot, and Jade has had a lot of humorous instances, and I’m not worried anymore, but the dash at the start—we were worried that the image of the dorm would be set by that, since it was still the very beginning, and I felt that weight.
Voicing Floyd
🦈 He has a playful spirit, but it was a question of exactly how much of that can be put into the performance—I thought it would be good to voice him as if his mood changes are like a roller coaster, and that’s what I did, but…my first recording I did together with 🐙. And they really let me do whatever I wanted. Coming in from what angles, sweetening the tone, there are parts where he gets a scary look so then I would put in more strength at the end of a line, or instead end gentle—there was a lot. But I probably overdid it. The opposite direction of Jade and Azul. The staff cautioned me, saying that balance is important. 🐙 and I recorded the first to third Books together, and I was recording Book 4 alone, and there is a part where his voice becomes very low. A different VA did that part. But I got the idea that Floyd actually wants to have a deeper voice. There was a lot of variation in Book 4 but from Book 5 I have been looking more at balance.
🐙 It is actually more difficult because you have so much freedom.
🦈 I’ll overdo it. I can’t overdo it or speak too sweetly. Can’t speak with too much familiarity. Have to see how much I can do while keeping it within the scope of his playful spirit. Also, we’re eels. We’re kind of scary in the ocean. So I would do things like adding a sense of intimidation or pressure at the ends of sentences. And all of that came apart in Book 7. (removed for spoiler) That was all balance too, though. They would tell me I was overdoing it. It’s only 70% (redacted)-Floyd.
🐙 I wanted to hear 100%.
🦈 They let me match my performance to the illustration. But, yeah…
🐙 That face, after all…
🦈 Exactly, this face…I wondered if I could go full comical…
🐬 That was rude, right?
🦈 Jade is so rude.
🐬 He is looking closer than anyone, too.
🦈 Even now I can’t forget it. “Floyd…(redacted)…?” There!? That’s what you notice!?
Main Story Review
🐺 provides an outline of Book 3.
🐙 They turned the contracts to sand. Unbelievable.
🐬 They made Azul overblot.
🐺 provides outlines of Book 4 and Book 6 (they maybe spent too much time in the last part so this is all very quick)
🐙 talks about Riddle and Azul’s scene in Book 6.
They all discuss the difficulty of recording Book 7, as things become more comical. 🐬 talks about how he struggled with certain laughter that Jade had never done before that he did for the first time in 7, but he didn’t require any retakes.
(Lots of Book 7 talk, removed for spoilers 💦)
🐺 December 18th is my birthday.
🐙 SSR 🐺
🦈 Send me a picture.
🐙 We’ll add filters for you.
🐬 In the morning it will be “Platinum Jacket.”
🐺 I have to prepare!
🐬 At night it will be Relaxing MyRoom.
🐺 Maybe I didn’t need to tell you that.
🦈 says that he and 🐬 have never recorded together. They haven’t even seen each other since Twst Fes.
They all talk about how much they want to be able to get together and talk again, saying they’ll happily take any opportunity.
They talk about what they want to do for New Years. 🦈 says “eat 100 mochi”, 🐬says “go diving” and 🐙 says “go to an onsen.”
🐬You are a capybara to the very end!

I have tried to make a transcript of the Radio Adelaide interview! There are a few places where I'm not quite sure what they're saying (especially when they speak over each other), so if anyone is willing to take a look at it, I would gladly welcome corrections! (Also I hope the formatting isn't too shit. If it is, I apologize.)
[introduction]
Host/Interviewer:
I spoke with Dan and Phil, who are on their Terrible Influence tour at the moment. I think they’re in Sydney right now, even though I had to call them on the phone via England [laughter]. They’re gonna be on at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre next week, Monday the 16th of December. And these guys, they’re British Internet Youtube radio hosts, they’re critics of games, they’re book authors, Dan and Phil, they’re currently in Australia having their Terrible Influence tour which lands in Adelaide at the entertainment Centre next week and they’re attempting to “take back what the internet took from them”!
So, it’s allegedly a screamingly hilarious live stage show. I have no doubt that it is hilarious. They’re “older, gayer and Phil’s gone blonde” evidently, and nothing is off limits. Now I was brought to their, uh, to the attention of them by some younger folk, who asked me to ask them certain questions, throw some sort of slightly strange questions at them, and I haven’t got time to include all of those questions and also I had a call after the interview from one of the duo suggesting that “oh, you might get trolled if you ask a question like that and people misinterpret it”, because I was asking, uh… I believe they’ve become a couple, I’m not sure if they’ve gotten married, but they may have gotten married or they may just be, like, going steady, but they’re a terrific pair of comic lads, in the vein of Kenny Everett, sort of. They don’t have a TV show as such, they were both youtubers, which means that they had a little bit of youtube shows, and then they started guesting on each other’s show, and then they eventually started doing stuff together. Very interesting lads. And I just really want to play the interview now.
[interview starts playing]
Dan: And I’ve got a mullet now that I’m in Australia because apparently that’s what people do. (?) Australians have more fun and I wanted to appropriate a little bit of the culture while we’re here doing the show.
Phil: I think it’s more of a micro-mullet, Dan, though, you know, you haven’t gotten to full mullet, it’s more of a micro-mullet.
D: It’s a mullet without the T, it’s just a mull-è.
I: Mull-è hahaha, all right! Just with that sort of…
P: Yeah, without the T, yeah!
I: That sort of hard E at the end.
P: Yes.
I: How has your tour been going so far, gentlemen?
D: It’s been amazing to be in Australia, no offense, we loved having a great time in America, but we’re very happy to be in Australia. Although, I know it’s summer, why is it so hot? Nowhere on Earth should be this warm.
I: You haven’t reached Adelaide yet, have you?
D: No, God, don’t tell me it’s warmer!
I: Yes, Yes, we’re in the middle of a very dry, arid area, very isolated, a long way from anywhere, but there’s only about maybe thirty of forty tickets left at your gig here?
D: We’re happy for the people of Adelaide, they’re, you know, they’re out here, in that dry, arid desert, and there’s nothing to do but come to the Dan and Phil show, and we love them for that, they’re all making responsible financial decisions, so we’re very grateful for all the people that are coming to the show.
P: And if there’s forty people listening, come hang out with us, it’s gonna be a fun time!
D: Yeah, what else are you doing on that night?
P: We’re gonna be pumping the aircon out.
D: Yeah, just come to have somewhere cool to sit in the theatre, you know what I mean?
I: Are you collecting things from your hangouts that you’re gonna discuss at the next show? Like before a show, if people hang out with you, give you a piece of art, or a little letter, a note, something like that, do you then discuss it in front of the (?)
D: Oh, a big trendy thing these days, yeah Taylor Swift had started this trend of the bracelets that people, that have things on (?), so people would make these bracelets that say “Dan” or “Phil” in beads, and the other day someone gave me a bracelet that said “vegemite" on it.
I: Hahaha
D: And I was like “what the heck?” and they said, “you don’t understand, this is incredibly culturally important, so I was like “okay, thank you, I will cherish the vegemite bracelet”.
P: I got one that said “koala daddy”, I’m not sure what that meant, but (?)
D: (?)
I: Koala daddy?
P: Yep, I think that’s what they were calling me!
I: Have you actually dipped your tongue into any vegemite as yet?
P: Uh, I would have to say it was one of the most horrific experiences of my life, I’m sorry! [Dan laughter in the background]
D: What, Phil, you don’t like a yeast-based condiment?
P: No.
D: How dare you?
P: Dan loved it, though. (?)
D: I’m just a yeasty kind of guy.
I: Yeah, it’s kind of up there with marmite, isn’t it?
D: It is, but I only eat sweet things, so I couldn’t handle it, but Dan was eating a second portion of toast this morning, and loved it.
I: Yeah, it’s good for you!
P: And last time we were in Adelaide we did a vlog where we explored the town, didn’t we? We got Tim Tams, we did a Tim Tam Slam.
D: Yeah. The national sport.
I: The national sport, sucking coffee through a Tim Tam.
D: Yeah, yeah.
P: I can get down with that.
I: Oh yeah, it’s a lot of fun to do! You realise that our Premier is the one who started the ball rolling with the social media ban for under sixteen-year-olds? You’re lucky that you’re here now at this stage of your career rather than at the beginning of your career, because there’s a lot of young people who have grown with you, who will be able to come and see your show!
D: Yeah, absolutely.
I: Are you relying on them sort of moving forward with you?
D: People have been with us for a long time and people tell us some things that are very disturbing.
P: Yeah, we’ve had some people meet us that are like, “I’ve watched you ten years ago, still watching you now, and I’ve got a whole child now!” and it’s like, what, what is happening!
I: Hahaha!
P: Time isn’t real!
I: It’s kind of a historic moment, you’re probably the first English lads to have linked in to youtube, and the Internet, and gone off the way that you have.
D: Nah(?), we were just… well, we come from an early generation, Phil has been doing it for so long that you couldn’t even make a career off youtube yet, there was no monetization, he was just doing it out of boredom, that’s how terrifying it is.
P: Yeah, I’m a youtube dinosaur, so yeah, I think definitely(?) I was one of the first ones to do it, but it’s crazy that we’re still doing it now, 15 years later.
I: It’s basically become a career for you, hasn’t it?
D: Absolutely, and none of it was planned, it’s been a constant runaway train since day one, and the emergency brake stopped a long time ago.
I: What kind of experiences are you getting to have in your down time while you’re in Australia this time around?
D: Well, I wanted to go to the beach, and then Phil said there’s a high chance you’re gonna get eaten by a shark, and I was like, “a high chance? I don’t know about that” and then we asked a guy and he was like “oh no, they’re out there, I see them every week”; so… [laughter]
P: I am hoping to look into the eyes of a wombat and have an emotional connection.
D: A Deep spiritual moment? Okay.
P: My favourite animal.
I: A wombat?
P: Yeah, I love a wombat!
D: Underrated.
I: Do you like the hairy-nosed wombat, or just the plain old brown one?
P: I’m not sure of the difference, maybe I should find that out, maybe that’s gonna be my quest.
D: (?) Make a decision.
I: Yeah, if you come face to face or nose to nose with a hairy-nosed wombat, he’s more likely to roll over and let you cuddle his tummy. The other ones have got a (?) and they’re a little bit more aggressive.
D: Okay. Sounds like me.
I: [laughter]. Have the audiences been laughing at all the right spots so far?
D: Definitely, and they’ve been laughing at all the inappropriate spots where they’re not supposed to, as well. But we’ll take it. You either have an audience that laughs all the time even at the inappropriate moments, or a quiet one. And I don’t want a quiet one.
P: Also, a good thing about our show is that we kind of give everyone a recap of everything that’s happened in the last fifteen years, so if you’re like, “oh, I used to watch Dan and Phil a while ago”, you can still come along and you’ll get right up to speed.
D: Oh, we know that people are dragging their husbands, their mothers, their older sisters to the show, and these people are like, “what the heck is going on?”, so don’t worry, we cover the base.
I: Sounds good to me! I hope you have a fantastic time in Adelaide, and you continue to enjoy yourselves.
D: Thank you!
I: Ride the wave, don’t worry about sharks.
P: Excellent, well, yeah, we’re looking forward to it. Thanks, nice to speak to you!
I: You too, cheers lads! Dan and Phil…
P: Cheers!
D: Bye!
I: They’ll be at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre next Monday, uh, coming. On the 16th. So, if you are keen to see them do their thing live on stage, go and join the masses that have already bought their tickets, get in while you can.

Hi there! I love all your work and I saw wife!reader and alastor getting married when they were alive and wanted to know how they met or who fell in love first.
You don't have to do this though, have a lovely day! ❤️
I really love this...I won't do how they met because I want people to be able to decide that for themselves but..
Alastor X Reader Headcanons
✅️Romantic
❌️Platonic

TW: Reader goes on a date, Implied Murder, Alastor being jealous, Suggestive
Description: ☝️⬆️
You are most likely the one who falls first, not that anybody could blame you, Alastor is F I N E
He's a well sought after man with his good looks, charming conversation skills and various other talents
So it makes sense that when you meet him and get to know him a little more, you're smitten with the radio host
But you're well aware that the chances of becoming an item with Alastor are slim to none
He's never once showed an interest in being in a relationship and visibly tenses when someone flirts with him
So you resolve yourself to try and get over this little crush and keep your friendship with him intact
If you were being honest with yourself, then it's more than just a crush, you're head over heels in love with him
You two do become fast friends though, something always drawing the two of you close, a sort of magnetic pull
You're practically the best of friends, always together, inside jokes, judging people together
A dozen almost kisses, romantically charged interactions, almost sexually charged drunken escapades
You even bring him food when he's at work so that he doesn't forget to eat and take care of himself
He sets aside time to take you to different restaurants, clubs, parks, anywhere that might be enjoyable
People are quick to assume you two are a couple, but you're always quicker to correct them
It's the truth but it sort of bothers him
He can't deny that you're great company, or that you're beautiful, or that he hates it when you're not smiling
Or that he has a great...fondness for you and your little quirks/talents
He's very attached to you to say the least, you're an important person in his life
That's what he tells people anyways
He doesn't even realize that he's in love with you until you're suddenly gushing about meeting someone new
You look so hopeful, so excited that some guy asked you out but the idea of you on a date makes his skin crawl
But you're only so hopeful and excited because you think maybe this guy will help you get over your feelings for Alastor?
He's a very sweet man, cute, funny, a little touchy-feely but nothing you can't handle
You don't notice the way Alastor's smile twitches ever so slightly whenever you bring up your date
Or his sour tone and the way he tries to discourage you from going
"Y/N, do you even like him? Can you picture yourself having a future with him?"
"That's why I'm going on a date with him, besides... he's very sweet to me!"
Another eye twitch and a sound that's almost like a snarl, Alastor is sweet to you, this guy isn't special
Okay, you notice but you assume he's just being protective
Alastor doesn't even realize his thunderous expression until your soft hand grips his chin, forcing him to lock eyes with you
"Alastor, I'll be fine. I'm a big girl and I can handle myself, you don't need to worry about me.."
Even though you want him to worry about you, you want him to beg you not to go, to tell you that he-
But he won't
His attitude only gets worse once he actually sees the guy who asked you out on a date
Oh no he's hot
If Alastor knew the word, then he would surely call him a himbo but he doesn't know that word, so he just calls him "Next."
Watching you interact with him was something that was truly sickening, seeing someone so clearly enamored with you
And you're enjoying the attention, Alastor gives you attention, he compliments you and takes you to fun places
Just never with obvious romantic intentions before...
Your date kisses your hand and Alastor wants to scrub it clean for you, Alastor can kiss you-
Kissing you wouldn't be so bad...or possibly more...
What was all that sickeningly sweet stuff you used to talk about couples doing together? Dates, cuddling, sex? He could do that, with you that is-
It's a little hot under his collar all of a sudden
It's not like Alastor hasn't already been practically taking you out on dates, courting you
Everyone already thinks you two are a couple anyways
Fuck he's in love with you and he's probably already missed his chance
He wrestles with himself over the sudden revelation all the days leading up to your date
It's not until you come out looking like the most heavenly creature on earth that Alastor realizes you're actually going on a date
"You... you're really going to go out with him? You can do so much better, Y/N."
He doesn't miss the frustrated look on your face and the way you hug yourself
"Well, he's the only one who's taken an interest in me, Al."
"And if someone else asked you?"
He's cautious with his words, already formulating a plan in his head based off of your reaction
"...there's only one person who I want to take notice of me."
Oh he's stealing you away now
He stands up and slaps his hands on your arms, giving you a charming smile as he leans in
Your body instinctively reacts, and you lean in to meet him halfway, your lips drawn to his-
"Make sure you guys tune into my show later tonight, okay? I'll have something special whipped up for your date!"
He hugs you and leaves you feeling more conflicted than ever, the feeling doesn't leave even after Alastor sees you off for your date
Your lips still tingle from that almost kiss
Your date is absolutely ruined, Alastor having completely taken over your thoughts with his strange behavior
Not that he didn't always take over your thoughts already
But you can hardly focus on your date, who's very sweet, very dumb and a little too touchy for your tastes
You end the date early, already knowing there's no shaking off your love for your best friend
You'll just long for Alastor for the rest of yours days...
Then you remember he asked you to tune into his radio show! Without even realizing it, your feet have taken you to his radio tower
You can hear him in there, getting ready for his show, you grab the handle and press your ear to the door
"Good evening, folks! I would like to dedicate this special song to the love of my life! My soulmate, Y/N!"
You feel your body freeze as a familiar song fills your ears, a song that was special only to you and Alastor
It's the closest thing to a confession that you'll probably ever get from him-
You'll take it
When you open the door to the broadcast booth you can tell he's surprised to see you there
"I thought you would at least be letting him drive you home by now..."
He's nervous but clearly trying to hide it, making his way towards you slowly
"I just wanted to be here with you..."
His arms are sliding around your waist, the nervousness he had before melting away into a smug grin
He's so fucking handsome
"You missed me so much that you ditched you date~?"
Your fingers are tangling in his hair as you pull him in closer, lips nearly touching as the emotions between you two threaten to burst
"And you just dedicated an entire love song to me on air to steal me away from my date."
His warm breath hits your face as he chuckles, bypassing your waiting lips to kiss your ear softly instead
"What can I say, my dear? I'm a fool when it comes to love~"
His voice nearly makes your knees buckle, but Alastor easily holds you up, pushing you up against the door while giving you a bruising kiss
For someone who's never really taken an interest in relationships, he's a really talented fucking kisser

I really hope you like this one! I had so much fun with it!

The Main Event (Multiple Pairings) Part 2

Part 2 to The Main Event. Also Part 8 in the Blind Items AU, but can be read as a standalone Summary: A wedding between Logan Sargeant and the youngest Leclerc child means a very interesting guest list, in which all previous victims of the F1 Blind Items account are included. A/N: This is part 2 to this fic! Because I only wanted it to be one fic, I am adding this section to the first part. Each pairing has a Blind Items backstory which is linked at the start of their section (You don't have to read the backstory, though) Multiple (separate) Pairings: Part 2 - Logan Sargeant x Leclerc!reader, Alexander Albon Part 1 - Logan Sargeant x Leclerc!reader Oscar Piastri x reader, Charles Leclerc x reader, Lando Norris x reader, Lance Stroll x reader, Lewis Hamilton x reader
Alexander Albon
Things had been… awkward for Alex and his girlfriend the past few days. After what started off as an innocent inquiry from a friend about the couple's plans for marriage in conjunction with Alex’s attending the wedding of his teammate, it seemed like there were some conversations the two needed to be having.
They had been together for years, longer than the current bride and groom had known each other. Longer than a lot of couples either engaged, married, or with kids had been dating.
But there was still no ring.
It hadn’t been a problem before. They had talked about getting married, casually talked and joked about “when they had kids”. But those topics hadn’t been seriously considered for a while now. Like a hangnail that hurt every time it brushed against something, even though it would be so much better to just rip it off quickly and let it heal, neither Alex nor his girlfriend seemed to be able to broach the subject.
They sat silently in the car, driving to the venue, painfully aware of what the other was thinking about.
Did Alex not want to marry her? After so many years, maybe he just has never seen marriage as something he needed, plenty of couples decide not to get married. But wouldn’t he tell her if he didn’t want to ever be married, instead of letting her wait and wait and wait? Especially when he knew she wanted to get married- did he even know she wanted to get married? Did she even know if she wanted to get married? They lived together, their lives intertwined with one another, maybe they could just have a civil partnership. But that didn’t sound right in her mind. What if-
Her spiralling was interrupted when Alex turned on the radio, at full volume. Both wincing at the noise, he turned it down a little, letting the song fill the crisis filled air between the two.
It helped a little, at least they could pretend they were both listening to the music instead of what they were actually doing, questioning their relationship.
As the song ended, a radio talk show came on, one about elderly folks giving life advice. “Aw I love this, it always has sweet stories.” Alex said, trying to break the tension.
“Here we have Violet with us! Now everyone, Violet got married for the first time about a year ago to her longtime partner, Vance. Both were 83 years old and had put it off for a long time, thinking they had been too old, but following a terminal diagnosis Vance was given, the two decided to go for it. Now a year later, Violet is here with her update. Violet, how are you doing today?” The host asked. The couple in the car stiffened, of course this is the topic.
“I am doing well, thank you. Today is a special day, it would have been Vance’s 84th birthday, and I can say that while it is hard not to be with him, I have all my love for him and the love I knew he had for me to keep me going.”
“I am sorry to hear about his passing, Violet.” The host somberly said.
“Oh that is alright, I actually arranged to call back in because I recently received our wedding pictures, and looking at them reminded me I wanted to update the good folks that listen. While we knew Vance would pass soon after the wedding, I am so happy to have these photos to keep with me now that he is gone. We had written off marriage because we had both been ‘too old’ in our opinions. Neither of us had gotten married to our past partners before, so we didn’t feel the need now. While I don’t believe marriage is best for everyone, some folks just don’t need it, I can say for certain that being surrounded with family and loved ones as Vance and I celebrated our love, especially when we knew death would soon part us, I believe it was the greatest decision of my life. Vance knew I would be with him no matter how long he gave me, and that I would take on the grief if it meant I knew I truly loved and was loved. I really believed that comforted him in the end, and that alone comforts me. We were only married for about three months before he passed, but he will remain my husband till I eventually join him. And I couldn’t be happier for that.” Violet said, a mix of emotions filling her voice.
She turned off the radio before they could hear any more.
Silence again filled the car- well apart from Alex’s sniffles.
She turned to her boyfriend, who was driving while trying to wipe his tears without her seeing he was crying.
“Are- Alex are you okay?” she asked, concerned.
“Yeah, no it's- yeah I'm good.” He unconvincingly replied. Suddenly, he slammed on the breaks, almost missing a stop sign, distracted by his tears. “Shit- I’m sorry I didn’t see-”
She couldn't make out his words over the sobs. Fortunitally, he had enough of a sound mind to pull over before he could danger them more.
Alex turned to his girlfriend abruptly, “I want to marry you. I want to marry you so badly and I know marriage has always been jokingly discussed between us, but I need to know you also want to marry me. I don’t want to wait till we are 83 and I am dying. I don’t want to wait another year, to be honest. So please just tell me if you aren’t-” She cut him off with a kiss, her own tears mixing with his. “Are you proposing?” She half-joke- half-sobbed.
“Yes, fuck yes I am.” Instead of answering him, she just kissed him, again, just as passionately as the first.
“We can’t tell Logan we got engaged the day of his wedding.”
Logan Sargeant
Bridesmaids on one side, Groomsmen on the other, the officiant and Logan in the middle.
Logan had memorized the order in which everything would go. He stood anxiously in front of a crowd of people, full of friends and family, as well as some of his idols since he was a child. People he still felt had no reason to even know his name, much less attend his wedding.
Next came the Piastri twins with petals in their baskets. They took a few confident steps till they realized just how many people were looking at them. Then in an instant, the weeks of preparation for their big moment went out the window as they both stood there, frowns on their faces. Logan’s heart broke a little at how shy they had suddenly gotten.
Maybe he really should have had Dalton take their place.
After a few moments the twins still didn’t move. Logan was about to make his way down the aisle to them, but his brother-in-law-to-be, Charles, stepped through the entrance to get to them, holding his newborn, who was acting as the ring-bearer despite being a month old and currently asleep. Charles crouched down between the two toddlers, whispering something no one else but the two of them heard, causing shocked but excited looks to replace the shy pouts.
The toddlers each stood on the side of Charles and his sleeping child, throwing petals with renewed excitement. By the time they reached the end, Logan crouched down to give them each a hug, getting a kiss on the cheek and ‘good luck, Lo Lo’. Charles passed the rings to Dalton, the best man, and answered Logan’s questioning look with a quick explanation, “I told them my son was very nervous about walking down the aisle and I hoped they would walk with him. I also said you’d give them candy after.”
Logan rolled his eyes, happy Charles had looked out for his honorary niece and nephew, but annoyed he now had to find candy for the toddlers unless he wanted a tantrum to end all tantrums at his reception dinner.
The second the bride stepped down the aisle, her mom by her side, Logan forgot what he was worried about before. Suddenly, seeing his fiancé in her dress, glowing in a way that could only be explained by magic, Logan knew nothing in his life had ever felt so right.
He had to stop himself from kissing her as she stood in front of him, only half listening to the officiant. He didn’t care about all the famous people in the crowd, didn’t care about how miserable he was at Williams, didn’t care about all the shit he got from fans, didn’t care about anything but the woman who was in front of him.
In a flash, vows were exchanged, ‘I do’s were said, and he was kissing his wife and then running down the aisle.
Everything was so good.

Radio Shack

!! [ fluff, mutual pining, college au, non-idol au] !!
word count: [4.5K]
(When a radio club brings a melody into your life.)
I almost veer onto the sidewalk, pulling into the small parking lot of a random motel. My poor white dodge dart has seen better days with my driving, but I’m sure it’s freaking out over the name that as just released on the radio, just like I am. My car is far too familiar with that name.
“Alright! You heard our new host, now playing ‘Last Night on Earth’ By Green Day.”
“You idiot.” I laugh to myself in the emptiness of my car, trying to stop the harsh lump in my throat from becoming a complete breakdown.
College. Freshman year.
“This will be your partner. You two will operate the radio room together for station 7. Learn each other and play nice because you will be seeing a lot of each other. build a schedule, and please don’t play your mixtapes on the station.” The senior showing me around the campus says this while we walk into the radio shack.
I came to college to study music, to learn and progress in my art. I want to write and produce for big bands in the future, win a Grammy, work with directors on their movies and help with the soundtrack, etc.
I look into the room and see a dark-haired boy with a black t-shirt tucked into some washed-out jeans held up by a belt. He has slim features and resembles a cat almost. He was attractive, I will admit. He had an energy that I liked right off the bat.
Setting the bin of records down in front of him, He takes his headphones off and lets them fall around his neck. He quickly wipes his hands off, spreading the dust onto his jeans, and reaches his hand out.
“Taesan.” He presses his lips together, giving a weak effort of a smile, but I can tell he tried.
“Y/n.” I shake his hand, giving a small nod to him and turning back to the senior.
“Station 7 runs at night, so be sure to be here at least 15 minutes before airtime. It will save you the stress of setting up and picking the starter tracks. From 6:00 PM to 10:30 pm, you’ll be in here, so make sure you pack dinner or eat before.” He informs the both of us. We nod, and he hands us the two sets of keys to the shack before saying goodbye to both of us and leaving the room.
“So, how do you want this to work?” I ask, turning to face Taesan.
“What do you mean?” he says, turning his back to me, picking up the bin he set down of the old records and placing them on the shelf that is built into the wall.
“How should we make our schedule?”
“I’m okay with whatever.” Easygoing.
“Okay then, how about the first two weeks, we both come in. Just so we can get to know each other. Maybe figure out some setlists for the station beforehand, so it’s not too much work on the night of. You know?” I suggest as I watch him move around the studio, moving boxes and messing with things.
“Sounds good to me,” I hear him grunt as he lifts a box above his waist and places it on the shelf that’s just a bit taller than him.
I sit in the red swivel chair, worn down of its faux leather, and spin around, admiring the interior. Strings of fairy lights hang above; it’s a dark room. Dark grey, almost black, walls paired with brown carpet. Built-in shelves cover the entire back wall. There is a bit of an open space between the cases and the booth.
Posters of small campus concerts and small bands are taped or pinned to the wall. Vinyls are nailed to the wall, and there is a big bulletin board that has been cleared of everything, covering the majority of the “empty” wall space.
“Can you hand me those records on the table next to you?” Taesan brings me back to the current moment, and I nod while picking up the 4 records that were left on the table in a pile.
“That’s a good album,” I say, handing him the stack with a Green Day record sitting on top.
“You like Green Day?” He half smiles while reaching out and grabbing the records.
“Ew, don’t be that guy. Yes, I like Green Day; they are very popular,” he laughs and steps down from the small stool he was using to place the rest of the records on the top shelf.
“No, I don’t mean it like that,” he smiles, eyes closing a bit as he lets an airy laugh out.
“I meant it as; you enjoy Green Day. Some people enjoy it; some people don’t.” He wipes his hands on his pants again, clearing the dust.
“I do.” I smile and nod, seeing how nicely his teeth are aligned from the half smile he gave me just now.
“Favorite song?” He sits in the other worn swivel chair with a sigh.
“Last Night on Earth. Is that too basic?”
“Even if it is, it doesn’t mean it’s bad. That’s a good choice.” He leans against the wall with his hands resting behind his head. Something about that made him even more attractive.
“Do we come here every night?” I turn my chair to mess with things at the desk
“We can, but I don’t think we have to. it’s just every other night.” I nodded and pulled my phone out.
“What’s your number so I can reach you just in case? ” He grabs my phone and types in his number, sending himself a text to his phone to have my contact.
“Thanks. I have to finish setting up my dorm, but I’ll be here tomorrow night, and we can figure out a schedule for after the two weeks together.” I stand up and smile
“Sounds good.” He says, still leaning on the chair. His eyes are now closed, and he listens to the faint sound of music playing in the studio overhead.
------------
“Hey, Green Day.” I received a text on my phone around 8 pm, and I had just finished setting my dorm up.
Considering I’ll be in the studio more than anything, I don’t have many posters or things to hang up. It just took time to fold and hang my clothes up without falling asleep. My dorm mate was out all day; I didn’t even see her. Her room was set up the moment I got here, so she must have come a day early.
“Hey,” I message back. “Nicknames already?”
“Better get used to it. What’s for dinner tomorrow?”
“Dinner?”
“Are you eating before? I was thinking of pizza if you want to eat it in the studio.”
“How sweet, eager to have dinner with me already.”
“Easy now, senior just said to play it nice. Besides, you said you want to get to know each other the next two weeks.”
I did say that, didn’t I?
“Pizza is good, just no weird toppings.”
“Adding the weirdest toppings. Goodnight Green Day”
“Goodnight, Taesan.”
Shutting off my phone, I crawl under my covers, my body finally relaxing and enjoying the somewhat comfortable dorm bed. I plug in my phone, letting it charge while I reach over and unplug my iPod and headphones. I’ve kept the same iPod since I was a kid, changing songs on it every once in a while, of course.
I shuffle through my songs and settle for ‘Look after you’ by The Fray. I put the Ipod under my pillow and close my eyes, listening to the music, enjoying the instrumentals, the mood, the lyrics, creating a scene in my head to fall asleep to.
—------------
“It’s 6:05. What happened to coming 15 minutes early?” Taesan teases as I walk in the door, my backpack slung over one shoulder and my jacket barely hanging onto my other shoulder.
“Oh please, we don't air till next Friday.” I smile and shake my head, shutting the door and turning to lock it.
The smell of pizza filled the room, and I saw he had started making the studio his own. There were pictures on the once-empty bulletin board of concerts, tickets to bands, and a picture of him with a Daphne blue guitar.
Taesan and I got along very well. We talked casually to each other by the end of the night as if we had grown up with each other. We were both sitting on the floor with the pizza box left wide open with only a few slices left, and empty plastic water bottles were now piled in the small recycling bin. Before we knew it, we had a comfortable silence between us as we listened to the faint sound of the radio.
“Since we are friends now-” he cut me off
“Oooo, not so sure about that.” he smiled and took a bite of the slightly cold pizza.
“I guess that means I have to give you a nickname too.” I sigh, already trying to come up with a nickname for him. He nodded and continued to eat what was left of the pizza before he got to the crust, getting ready to hand it to me.
During our random conversation, we discovered that we could trade a lot of things. I’ll eat the tomatoes, the crust, and pickles he doesn't like, and he’ll eat the olives, peppers, and mushrooms I don't like. It works out; never a piece wasted.
I reach out and grab the crust from him, leaning back against the wall I’ve been resting on for a few hours now, I think.
“What about blue?” I cover my mouth as I speak.
“Not original.” he licks his thumb before wiping it on his pant leg. I should probably buy some napkins for the studio.
“It is, check it-” I swallow what was in my mouth and sit up a bit
“Blue to go off of green, right? Blue guitar in your photo-” I pointed to the picture he hung of himself on the bulletin board.
“And my favorite band has a song called Daphne Blue, and in the lyric, it says ‘black jeans and daphne blue, still makes me think of you.’”
“Already getting songs dedicated to me.” he crosses his arms with a small smile on his face.
“If I get a whole band, the least I could do is give you a song.” I shrug.
“Fine, blue it is,” and that was that.
----------
As the weeks went by, we got closer. We became each other's go-to person for just about anything. Problems with homework, drama with other friends, need to rant, found new music, need to hang out. Within a month, we grew to be inseparable.
We created a code song for when things are rough. Like when we took our first exam. He did great, but I didn’t. He played ‘Last Night on Earth’ by Green Day, and I came to the studio almost in tears to hear it. It was stupid, but the gesture was sweet to play the song I mentioned the first time we met, when I was feeling sad after a test.
We lay on the floor of the studio listening to it and made a little joke with both of our nicknames in it.
“Green day,” he sighed with his hands behind his head.
“For a blue night.” I return, copying his pose next to him on the floor, with space between us.
And that became our thing for everything. Codes. Almost everything we did was coded, and it became a journey to decipher them, and by the time we understood what each other meant, it was almost too late to bring it back up to confirm it or to know if we were just being delusional. But some codes, they didn’t need to be deciphered.
----------
“Happppyyy biiiirthdayyyy tooooo youuuu,” I sing, walking into the studio carefully with a small cake lit with a few candles on top.
The studio has a comforting feeling today. I have been ignoring Taesan all day today to make him think I forgot about his birthday. We exchanged our birthdays within a few weeks of meeting, writing them in our calendars and setting reminders on our phones.
“Happy birthday to Dongmin…” he smiles at his real name he gave me a few months ago during our late night music search. I promised to only use it in important situations, and this feels pretty important.
“Happy birthday to you!” I lower the cake to the ground, and he meets me there, sitting in our designated spots that now have cushions to provide comfort.
“You remembered.” Of course I did; I didn’t even need the reminder on my phone. For some reason, it was the only date that was highlighted in my brain.
“Yeah, if you count asking around as remembering.” I tease. “Make a wish.” I motion to the cake with a nod of my head.
His gaze lingers for a second before closing his eyes and blowing the candles out, casting away the warm glow it to his skin, almost making his brown eyes light up, even in the darkest room.
“So, what did you wish for?” I smile, putting my hands in the middle of my lap as I sit cross-cross from him.
“Green day.” I stopped breathing for a second, not knowing if I was understanding it differently.
“Since it’s Blue’s night.” he softly smiles as he refers to himself by the nickname I gave him months ago.
“Well, I'm here.” I couldn't manage to get my voice above a whisper for some reason. Like something took my ability to think straight and to talk normally.
“Dream come true then.” he ruins the moment quickly when I see him realize what he was saying by digging his bare hand into the cake and eating it out of his hand.
“EW.” I did exactly what he just did, and we finished the night with frosting across our faces and our hands slightly blue from the dye in the icing.
---------
The next 4 years went exactly like this. Playing music on our shared station that held messages for each other.
One day, he played ‘Look After You’ by The Fray after I lent him my iPod to help him fall asleep since he had a busy week. The next week, I played ‘Fool of Myself’ by The Band Camino.
I attempted to confront him, but all he said was, “Every song isn’t about you, Green Day. Don’t flatter yourself.”
I told him I hated the color yellow, and he played Yellow by Cold Play the next day. Even through melodies, he found a way to tease me.
Until I got a boyfriend in junior year, and it all suddenly stopped. The late-night studio hangouts, making each other dinner or splitting our take out, songs with messages, our pictures we took together and printed out on our bulletin board eventually got covered by track lists. My iPod was “returned”; he left it on the desk of the studio when it was my night to run the station. The four and a half hours at the station felt longer with no presence of another person. I would see him on campus, but his back was always facing me, walking away, even if his class was in my direction.
I don’t know why he split from me; it’s not like he was going to make a move. Or did he want to? It was all so frustrating. I was mad at him for a bit after I realized he purposefully went the long way to his classes because he’d see me walking around. It was childish. The last song he added to the tracklist for his night was ‘Know It All’ by The Band Camino, but I didn’t listen to the station that night to know if he played it.
For 4 months, it was radio silent between him and me, not even a text.
-------
It was my night at the station, before spring break of junior year. My boyfriend went to a party with a couple of his classmates, letting me know he would be out most of the night and he’d text me when he made it back to his dorm. I sit on the swivel chair, and I pick at my food, which has now gone cold. Music has become a chore these past couple of months. It was like there was no fun in finding a meaning in the lyrics anymore.
I got a text from a random number. It was a picture of my boyfriend at the party. I didn’t think anything of it, seeing it was just him dancing in the crowd that formed. A few minutes later, another text was sent by the same number.
“I didn’t know, I'm sorry.” was all it said. I didn’t understand until I looked at the picture again. There was a evident marking on his neck, and the girl infront of him was too close for comfort. I feel my body go cold and start to shake.
Before I could even load the screenshot of the text to send to him, I got a message from him saying, “breaking up with you. Sorry.”
Just like that, everything was over. The past four months were gone. We hadn't been together for long, but I did enjoy his company. He was handsome, and he had manners when we first met, but over time, he lost them. I let myself lie on the floor on my back. I cover my eyes with the palm of my hands, trying not to get emotional over a four-month relationship that never got past second base.
I didn’t have any super close friends on campus, even after 3 years in this school. I never needed more than Han Dongmin… Blue.
I looked at the clock, and I saw I had 2 more hours left in the studio before I could go back to my dorm and sleep away this anxious feeling mixed with embarrassment. It's funny how you can be all alone and still feel the heavy embarrassment someone made of you.
I push myself off the floor and to the desk, choking back sobs as I do my best to see through my blurry vision. I clear the tracklist and add the song I haven’t heard in 4 months to play next.
‘Last Night on Earth’ by Green Day.
I don't know if he is listening to the station, but I hope to god he feels the message some way and he comes, even if he hates me. Even if he moved on from whatever we were.
An hour passed, and I stayed in the same spot since I played the song. I haven’t heard anything from my now ex-boyfriend, nor have I heard anything from Dongmin.
It’s pointless to play that song. I don’t know why I thought he’d come running to me. I force myself to stand up and clean the studio from my messy eating and bottles of water I stacked in the bin.
--------
With 30 minutes left, I grab the trash and the recycling to take out. I shove my keys in my pocket before taking them out the door, making sure to lock it behind me. The night had gotten warmer, although there was a small breeze that would pass through.
I lift the lid to the trash container out in the back, throw away my trash, and repeat this with the recycling in the recycle bin. I walk back to the studio, feeling my allergies already kick in with my nose getting runny again.
I walk back to the front, and I see him standing there, looking in the glass panels on the door.
“Dongmin?” He turns around, and his jaw is bruised, and he has a cut on his lip. It looked like his nose was bleeding, but it stopped, and he had a poor attempt at cleaning it.
“y/n” he almost tripped over himself, practically running to me like I was the injured one.
“Are you okay?” his hands are holding my face still as his eyes soften and his brows furrow.
“Are you?” I scan his face to see how bad it is. I saw his knuckles bruised and busted when he went to cup my face.
“I heard-”
“I shouldn’t have played the song, it was selfish.”
“Not the song. I heard what happened.” And then it clicked. His knuckles, the bruising on his jaw and his lip, He was either at the party my ex was at, or he went there to fight him. I feel the embarrassment creep in again as I realize that this could be something that spreads on campus.
“It's not selfish if you need me,” he huffed out. I remove my eyes from his, grab his wrist, and pull him to the door. I unlock it, letting us both into the studio. I make him sit on the chair, and I open the drawer where we keep the mandatory first aid kit.
“Please tell me you didn't-”
“I did.” he didn’t hesitate with his answer even without me finishing my sentence.
I don’t manage conversations at the moment. I sigh, and I clean up his face. I can feel his eyes watching me, waiting for me to yell or show some reaction. I feel the 4 months wash over me of losing Dongmin, my best friend. All the hard days of classes, and I couldn’t sit in the studio with him and talk about it. I had to throw out the olives, peppers, and mushrooms I got with anything. Music was getting boring, it was all such a chore without him around.
Before I knew it, I had two big streams pouring down my face, and I heard his breath hitch.
“Green day,” he hesitates to wipe my face. I turn my head to save what is left of my character right now and bring my arm to my mouth to muffle the sound.
“For a blue night,” I muffle into my sleeve, followed by a sob. I feel the pull on the wrist that rested on his cheek while I was cleaning. And I'm suddenly crying into his shoulder, and he is holding me tighter than I was ever held within these past 4 months.
“I got you,” he whispers as he rubs my back.
“You never called, you never texted, you just- disappeared,” I sobbed into his shoulder.
“You never stopped me from disappearing,” he whispers back, breaking my heart with the hurt tone he tried to waiver.
He was right; I never reached out, even when I was upset for him not reaching out. It goes both ways.
After that, things went back to y/n and Dongmin, Green Day, and Blue.
--------
The hardest day was the last day of college before graduation. I had gotten a job offer with a record company that helps artists work with films. I worked there for 2 years, working on a project until they sent me back home to be a part of the sound crew for another studio. The only problem is that after graduation, I leave for my flight across the globe.
When I first told Dongmin he was happy for me, he was happy for me, too, until he realized I would be in a whole different part of the world.
--------
“We’re gonna be late.” I laugh as he makes me stop on campus to see the radio shack one last time. We are in our White graduation gowns, and our ceremony is in an hour, but the drive is 45 minutes if we can weave through traffic.
“I promise you that when you come back, I’ll have my radio show, and I’ll play our song first thing.” I smile and cross my arms. He pulls his phone out and takes a picture of us in front of the radio shack before we say our final goodbyes to it. 4 years in a small building, playing music, sharing dinner, skipping classes, and celebrating each other's birthdays. Where all our song confessions took place and, unfortunately, will be left behind.
Our ceremony was bittersweet. Dongmin and I tap each other's feet, not paying attention to the speakers. Our pinkies locked around each other, still too scared to hold each other's hand. Our caps had handprints on them. His was green, with my handprint, and mine was blue with his.
We throw our caps in the air, and before mine hits the ground, Dongmin has me in his arms, spinning me around. I make sure to collect our caps before we get ushered out.
-----
And the next 2 hours go by faster than I wanted them to. Than either of us wanted them to. He drove me to the airport, and when he dropped me off, I could see he tried to play it cool, but we both knew.
“You’ll be back right Green Day?”
“Wish for me on your birthday again, and we’ll see.” I smile. I pull my suitcase with me as I slowly walk backwards towards the doors.
“And if I play our song?” He almost chokes.
“I’ll come running back.” I bite my lip to hold my composure.
I let go of my suitcase and rushed to him, giving him a tight hug. His arms had no problem holding me one last time, considering they were begging for it. I breathe in his cologne he’s worn since the first day I met him and take the last bit of confidence I had around him to run my fingers through the back of his hair for the first time. I felt his grip on my shirt tighten, like he was trying to connect our bodies so I couldn’t leave.
“I love you, Green Day. And I lied before, every song is about you. ” He confesses into my shoulder. But there is nothing we can do now other than let each other know.
“I love you, blue. And tell me something I don’t know.” I try to laugh.
And for two years, neither of us had time to text or reach out as our careers started, our timezones were completely different, and trying to keep up with it was just another thing on our plate.
----------
I came back home on August 10, which was Han Dongmin's birthday. And here I am now, sitting in the parking lot of a motel, listening to ‘Last Night on Earth’ by Green Day, after hearing his voice on the radio for the first time.
I pull out my phone.
“Green Day?” I text. Not even a minute later, I got a response back.
“Since it’s blues night.”
“Happy birthday.” I crack a smile, and I feel like I’m back in college all of a sudden.
“Haven’t even blown out the candles, but it looks like my wish came true.”
“What exactly was the wish?” I tease.
“That I wouldn’t wait another 4 years to tell you that it’s still you.”

Just Talking

Summary: Taesan and you have a strange relationship. When you're invited on a talk show and finally get to see him again, he can't wait to get some alone time with you.
Warnings: Idol!Male Reader, Degration, Cum Swallowing, Blowjob, Deepthroat, Begging, Hairpulling
Wordcount: 1.5k (Not Proofread)
Taesan squeezed your side as his hand wrapped around your waist, leaning close to whisper in your ear. "I not play with me. Don't think for a second that just because other people are in the room. I won't just fuck you here."
You and Taesan were invited to do an interview for a radio talk show. Even though you were in separate groups, something always brought you back together. Eventually, Taesan took his chance and kissed you backstage at another event–which started the strange relationship you found yourself tangled in. On camera, you were colleagues at best. But alone, Taesan loved to be possessive over you.
You'd been with him for a few months and with how rarely you got to be in the same place at the same time as him–he made every second count. Even slightly teasing you in front of the camera in subtle ways. One of their favorite things was poking his cheek with his tongue, mocking the way you looked with his cock in your mouth. Breathing hard, eyes rolled back, twitching to show you what he wanted later.
Maybe you'd gotten a little carried away... It was pretty normal for him to tease you, it was only right you tried to get back at him! So you may have squeezed his thighs while he spoke, grabbed at his hard cock during song breaks, and whispered naughty things in his ear. That was totally normal. But he'd never threatened to fuck you openly before... You could only sit there and smile as the cameras flashed and fans cheered and screamed from behind the gate. Taesan answered a few questions and then turned to you for your reply.
You swallowed hard. "Y-Yes! Taesan and I are closer now. We've even met up to eat meals sometimes."
"Ahh, y/n, you can't tell them about our dates," Taesan whined. He knew his fans loved the tension between you, while it ate at you being the center of attention.
The hosts went along with it–playfully teasing about meeting Taesan outside of work as dates. But they didn't know they actually were dates. Or hookups. Whatever he wanted that night.
"Well, we're going to end this small talk section here. Thank you so much to these talented people for coming to our show and we can't wait to see more from them going forward!" The hosts started closing out the show as Taesan packed up his things. You started grabbing your things too, but froze when Taesan grabbed your hand.
"Got anything after this?" He muttered. You heard some cheering from fans outside, looking in through the glass of the studio that was open to viewing.
"T-Tae–" You pulled your hand away. "I don't have anything but you can't keep doing that. What if they start figuring it out?"
He shrugged. "It doesn't matter. As long as I've got you, baby."
You rolled your eyes as you reached for your bag. Taesan was quicker and snatched it up. "Let's walk together, talk a little?"
Talking was Taesan's way of asking to hook up without tipping off anyone.
"Fine. We can talk."
He smirked. "Fine? We don't have to if you don't want to. But you seemed pretty into talking earlier, especially when others were watching. Maybe you're into that?" He leaned close, closing the gap between your bodies but hovering slightly away from you. "You wanna talk right here, in front of everyone? I've got no problem. And if you're the type who wants everyone to know who you are on the inside, we can do that."
You pushed him away. "N-no, let's talk in private."
"That's more like it," Taesan grumbled before pulling you away.
You darted around a few corners before finding an empty makeup room. Taesan pushed you inside, locked the door, and threw your stuff on the floor.
"Finally, it feels like ages since I had you last." He was about to pounce on you before you stopped him.
"Please no marks! The other members have been asking questions, and nothing too rough. The fans will notice if I'm limping out of here..."
Taesan grumbled as his shoulders fell. "That what can I do? My baby won't help me?"
"N-no, I'll still help you. I just can't let you go wild..."
"The least you could do is suck me off."
You nodded in agreement. "I can still do that."
Taesan gave a smirk and tongued his cheek. "Do it right, or I'll make you." He pushed you on the ground in front of him and stood over you. "Well? My cock's not gonna suck itself."
You've given him dozens of blowjobs, and the way he looks at you still makes you shy before every time. The way his eyes glare down, his head not even bothering to tilt and look down at you, making you feel less than him. You loved it, and he knew it too. You unbuckled his pants and pulled down both the pants and his underwear. Taesan's cock bounced out to greet you, shaking and throbbing with excitement.
"Don't tease me," Taesan warned. "Get to the good part." He grabbed the base of his cock and pointed his tip to your lips, pushing on the back of your head so they'd meet. He was always so demanding and impatient. But it was even more hot to you when he yelled at you.
You shyly kissed it, earning a hiss of appeasement. You gave it more kisses until it started leaking. He must've been saving it for you, his cock was almost like a faucet of pre-cum. You took the head into your mouth, placing your hand as the base, slowing you moved to make your lips and your hands meet around his cock.
Taesan's head rolled back as he pushed his hips forward, leaning back, making sure there wasn't an inch of them that was untouched. But he'd only be satisfied with that for so long.
With each stroke, your head went further down his shaft until you hit a part that made you gag.
"Oh, baby, don't stop now. You're doing amazing." Taesan's eyes rolled back as he faintly whispered swears.
You tried to continue but it was too much, there was no way you could swallow him whole. You'd never done it before.
"Taesannie, I can't–"
"Oh shut up! Then gag on it if you have to! No one wants to hear you talking right now!" He pushed your head down, forcing his cock down your throat. His jaw went slack as he guided you to move how he wanted–deep and fast. You struggled to keep yourself from gagging, but once his cock hit the back of your throat, you couldn't help choking and spitting everywhere. "Don't you dare make a mess on my clothes," He warned.
Your eyes streamed tears as he used you. Your brain was covered in fog as it began to fall numb, starting from your knees. It went all the way until you couldn't even feel yourself gagging anymore.
Taesan was losing it, fucking his favorite Fleshlight. "Oh, baby, you're so fucking warm. You're so cute when you're obedient–you'd choke yourself to death on it if I wanted, right?"
You moaned as your half-lidded eyes raised.
"Of course you would. But I need you, forever, I can't let you go... So, you'll just have to settle for all this cum I've saved just for you." Taesan's voice started to peak as he struggled to focus. "Relax, and take it, baby." He grunted as his cum shot across your tongue and down your throat, each pulse making his whole body shake. "J-Jesus, fuck~!"
When Taesan lost the strength to hold onto you anymore, his hands dropped, but your head didn't stop moving. You kept sucking through his orgasm.
"Wait– S-Stop!" He pleaded. His fingers dug into your shoulders.
You couldn't hear anything. Or register the pain. You just wanted to clean him completely, since he told you not to make a mess. You swallowed everything dutifully and cleaned him off, all while he struggled in your mouth.
"Baby! Y/n! Please, stop sucking. I'll pass out!" He begged, which finally convinced you to stop. As soon as his cock slipped out of your mouth with a wet pop, Taesan snatched his pants and pulled them back up. "I forget how much of a cock slut you are..."
You just smiled while he sat a few more insults at you.
Taesan knelt down to you and wiped your face. "Are you okay? I wasn't too rough?" His concern bled through the facade he'd put on for you.
"I'm fine~!"
"I'm glad. You're so weird, getting off on me being mean to you." He noticed the wet patch in your pants. "And you came in your pants. Again. You'll have to wait before that dries so you can leave."
"Will you wait with me?"
Taesan kissed you. "If that's what you want, of course."
"Can you... say it a little meaner?" You blushed.
"You're a real pain in the ass." Taesan groaned. "Fine. I'll stay."

aromantic alastor headcanons for aro-week (with some ace in there as well, because I think for alastor those things are so entwined, it's hard to separate them):
tried going out with girls a couple of times when he was alive, to make his mother happy, but always found a way to extricate himself from the attachment. this ties into his learning how to have complete control over any situation he's in
I wonder as well about whether or not he "passed" as white, or whether his community knew that he was creole, and how that affected his dating opportunities, and his paranoia, his need to be in control, basically his constant hyper-vigilance
got a lot of fanmail for his radio host work, women (and men, but more furtively) loooved his voice. this was acceptable, because (apart from some of the weirder ones) he could use this as a metric for how accepted he was in society, as well as how well he was passing -- both in terms of race and orientation, but also youknow, as someone who is definitely not clockable as a serial killer
although of course we know he also enjoyed company. he'd go out drinking and dancing a lot. was mimzy a bit in love with him? I just like the idea that people kept being incredibly taken with his charm and his politeness and his poise, because he does have all those traits. whether he notices...? (no). I mention this point not so much as headcanon, I just like that alastor as aroace and repulsed on both of those points, was never a shut-in about it. he's always been very lively (ha) and outgoing, and clearly likes being in the company of others... but maybe that last point has gotten to be a little difficult during his time in hell, due to having to be so careful about showing any kind of emotional "weakness." speaking of...
post-death became a more extreme version of himself -- that is, a man on a mission to be in control and create emotional distance between himself and others through the power of voice, rather than having to faff about pretending emotional connections where there were none. very suited for hell because of his precarious political lived reality whilst alive, and because hell is built on who has power and who doesn't. these are rituals he understands better than the strange romantic ones during life
the smile as mask and unhealthy coping mechanism -- wonder if when he was alive people swooned over his having a lovely smile (as well as its being useful to placate and to disorient people who had more violent intentions, and in both cases potentially to lure in victims). so the smile likewise became the most extreme version of itself. the smile in essence as the signifier of someone who doesn't fit into any boxes and needs to hide that fact, both by being mixed race and aroace, but then the smile itself becomes something that effectively owns him, because he literally cannot let it drop, ever (honestly if alastor ever stops smiling, it'll be the biggest gasp moment on this show)
all that being said, surprising connections do occur: rosie, I think, sees through him from the beginning, and she's so disarming (ha, disarming... cannibal joke) that she never feels like a threat + they're both cannibals, so there's a relaxed kinship there and maybe she reminds him of the parts of home he (secretly) misses a bit
I wonder how rosie figured out that alastor wasn't into dating. I think at first she might have thought he was gay, but then quite quickly seen that that's not it, he doesn't even like men much, and she feels like she's been around the block enough to piece together peoples' natures from one of a million other people she's known, so way before she knows the terminology, she knows, and crucially, she never judges or tries to force the point
I wonder how vox and alastor met -- whether vox was able to gain power on his own and this attracted alastor's attention, or if alastor saw something of himself (that turned out to be surface level) in vox, that is, they both wear smiles as masks, they're both presenters, their mediums may be different, but their aims feel similar. perhaps alastor was comfortable enough in hell at this point -- probably in a way he never was whilst alive -- that he was feeling magnanimous towards what must have felt a bit like an upstart. and most importantly, the constraints of alloromantic ideas are a comfortable 20 years in the past by now, alastor can barely remember that this was ever anything that was expected of him, or that others' could possibly feel about him
cue vox falling head over heels, the way people so often did while he was alive, and he... does not notice at all (barely a headcanon). I kind of feel like I don't have much to say on these two, because this blog is already a treasure trove of vox and alastor hcs!
I think rosie is the only one who knows alastor is aroace, although... maybe husk? not in so many words, but he knows alastor isn't interested in those things. nifty Does Not Notice Nor Care (in a good way). charlie i will forever think will at some point do a deep-dive on modern queer lingo and get everyone flags (this is practically word of god canon considering that older piece of art you shared). vox definitely doesn't know. val....... sort of kinda knows but in an evil way. vaggie does not care, but she'd be chill about it. mimzy... I don't think knows, mainly because she never cared to think about his behaviours, as someone who's quite self-centered on what alastor is to her. jeez, who am i missing... angel, does not know, head empty
speaking of angel, I think if he ever found out, especially with where he's at in his journey rn, would be very unhappy in some way about having stepped over his boundaries so often so casually at the beginning. dunno how he'd act about it, but i like the idea of vigilantly (and crudely, and bluntly) supportive angel if they ever manage to get alastor out on the town. more on the ace side of things but i can see him going: "do not try to fuck this guy! this guy is unfuckable!"
(i like hypersexual and deeply romantic angel + sex and romance repulsed alastor as unlikely friendship in my head. opposites finding common ground type stuff is always good)
at the end of the day, alastor living and dying in an amatonormative world and having to orient himself within that by building walls that persist/worsen after his death because of the culture of hell being predicated on who controls whom, veeeeery slowly discovering that he can be vulnerable on his own terms without people demanding things from him that he cannot give (smthinsmthin the hotel gang as the opposite of vox in that sense -- not only that sense, but also that)
also something about imagining his mother hoping he'd find a nice girl and settle down (in the way parents often do, because that's the metric of happiness right.....) and how he never could give her what she wanted, and maybe feels some very locked away guilt about that, which he thinks he'll never be able to deal with because his mother is in heaven, but perhaps in this story she'll get to see what he's built with the people at the hotel and that's really all she wanted for him in the end
OH MY GOD ANON THIS IS ALL SO GOOD?? THANK YOU SO MUCH HAHAHA. happy aro week everyone!! (x2)
