not enough people talk about how personal it is that Merlin and arthur are nearly the same height. thus far I have pretty much only been intimate with people who are within centimeters of my height and god it’s something. we can make eye contact accidentally all the time. across the room, right next to each other, doesn’t matter, we always lock eyes. when we get close it’s anyone’s game. we could kiss. we could back away. we could press each other against a wall. we can feel each others words before we ever touch. every time Merlin is adjusting Arthur’s armor, shoving him around, fixing his clothes, he is right there in his space, eye level, and it’s anyone’s game. #It seems completely arbitrary but my mind is just drawn to it so much #Maybe it's that sweet spot of potential where it's enough to be noticable and enough to be a significant amount of weight to gain #And at the same time it's not yet in the range of 'damn I put on a lot of weight'#It's a good starter amount of weight to gain from any size #And it's an amount of weight for even people of modestly above-average height to start feeling their clothes getting tighter #It's also closer to 50lbs gained than it is to your start weight #So it can make closing that 20-pound gap start to feel enticing and maybe not so far out of reach...#Idk man I just like it when someone decided they needed to be carrying 30 pounds of extra weight and then did that

I keep thinking about Rupert and Carol interacting for some reason. I think Carol would be super amused by his attitude but also appreciate how loyal and dedicated he is to his cause.
