If someone goes unironically out of their way to try and prove their ship is better, or ''makes more sense'', I refuse to believe they are even aware of the third law of fandom etiquette. There are so many chill shippers and they're easy to get along with. They don't kick up dust, so they're not seen or heard, and then a pairing, (or an entire fandom,) gets a bad rep because of a few loud bad apples that cannot handle the fact that not everything is catered towards them. God forbid someone has a different taste.

Zolu, Zosan, or anything in between, we partake in the same cardinal sin. Please don't forget we're all just fans of the same show, and there are much scarier things out there. Like spiders. Or politics.

how are you human?

so many interesting comments and thoughts on my post saying buds should consider not coming up to strangers in marginalized groups and saying 'how are you a real person that actually exists?'. i will point out this: despite my VERY gentle tone a few buds said i was having a 'meltdown' for even mentioning it

others said i was being too serious for someone who is ‘not a real person’. so if you would any more evidence of what it is like to be a buckaroo like myself there it is. every day, autistic folks who may seem ‘weird’ are bombarded with messages and comments and implications that they are fundamentally not human beings

sometimes it is outright and blatant like the comments on last post saying ‘well why are you getting mad? you are not even real’ and sometimes it is in the very subtle ways that folks use language when they talk to us. there is huge difference between ‘how do you exist?’ and ‘i am glad you exist.’

anyway, something that i think many people who have not lived this experience dont seem to understand is i KNOW the poster who said ‘how are you a real person that actually exists’ probably meant it as a compliment. that is THE POINT of why i am taking a moment out of my trot to gently and anonymously let them know how it might feel to be on other end of something like this as a queer or autistic or otherwise marginalized buckaroo. it is obviously not their intent to actually hurt someone, so i am letting them know

maybe because queerness and autism are not physically apparent it is hard to explain, but imagine going up to very tall or very short person and saying ‘cant BELIEVE you are real’ as a compliment. not a great way to treat others. on my original post, an indigenous author chimed in with their own experience and feelings similar to my own. a woman who said she was very tall told her story. point is, while i do not have their experience, what i am saying has a universal thread for 'othered' folks

point is: i UNDERSTAND there is this sort of exaggerated or ironic (or maybe even sometimes very literal) language around fandom to say things like ‘how are you a human?’ to creators, but since it is not your intent to hurt, i think you might want to know how that feels to marginalized buckaroos sometimes.

obviously you can say anything you want. i do not hold it against you. also, if you think ‘oh no, did i say something like this to chuck at a convention? i am so embarrassed' then DO NOT WORRY i promise you buckaroo you are just fine. i present myself in a way that is unusual by definition, so i have pretty thick skin about this type of thing and a lot of patience. MANY buds start off thinking i am ‘a joke’ and then become fans over time and i am glad to trot beside them and prove love is real.

however there are other autistic or queer or marginalized buckaroos with smaller platforms who hear this just as much as me, so i think it is important to say it loudly and maybe together we can work on making a very slight shift in the way we speak to the ‘others’ in our lives

we do not NEED to let subtle dehumanization slip into our language. in some cases it has been called ‘micro aggressions’ but i think buds dont often consider what that means for COMPLIMENTS. ultimately, telling marginalized people YOU ARE SO AMAZING YOU CANNOT POSSIBLY EXIST may seem very fun and silly on the surface and for some folks it probably feels that way, but for others it can feel like a reminder of the broader doubt about their humanity. you can just say ‘YOU ARE AMAZING’ without the reminder of the many times autistic or queer or marginalized folks are told in a very serious and pointed way (like comments on the last post) ‘YOU ARE SO WEIRD THAT I HAVE DECIDED YOU ARE NOT REAL’

buckaroos can take this information and apply it to their interactions, or they can ignore it, that is totally fine. we are all trotting our own trots and proving love in our own way and thats okay bud, HOWEVER i feel like it is important to at least let folks know, even if that means getting told i am having a ‘meltdown’. i think it is important to have complex or difficult conversations if it will prove a little more love in the long run. But that smirk is still there and it's driving you crazy and maybe you keep kissing until you reach his *coughs* and then you're working on getting him interested. You can still hear the fucking pen scratching though and so you go deeper, and he raises an eyebrow. "be good now honey" You're settling in his lap and he has you sitting there until he has finished his paperwork with you whimpering and trying not to squirm because you want to be good you really do and you know he'll make it so much better but he feels so good and when he's finally finally done you get to move but you're so wound up you can't pull yourself together enough to find a rhythm and you're nearly in tears and he has to grip your sides and murmur instructions in your ear and help you until you're satisfied and just when you think he's done, and about to flip you over, he adjusts his grip and starts moving from underneath you until you're crying and he's finished ~which doesnt happen until you've come 2 more times~

Dave. Oh my gosh Dave. Dave is a strict dom if ever there was one. With him it's a punishment. He'll tell you to hold off until he's done which is freaking impossible with how deep he gets, and how he likes to warm up his hands on your butt while you're trying desperately to hold onto that last thread of control. Pero got married after he came back and retired as a sell sword. She's inexperienced (let me live my victorian life) and he doesn't really think he deserves her but also he's not so much an idiot to say no to someone like her. She's the village "healer" and he met her when he got stabbed by one of the raiders (arm wound: not serious.) He has to teach her. She gets shy and flustered, which is a total 180 from her sassy self, and Pero loves it. She makes the most amazing sounds that have him thinking that maybe he did something right in his life to end up in her arms. She wants to please her new husband and asks her married friends for advice and they tell her about this new position. So she asks him, stuttering and tripping over words, if she could try something she heard about? From a friend? She straddles him and Pero loses his mind. He's closing his eyes and clenching his jaw so hard and she's whimpering in the most DELICIOUS way and he's trying so hard to hold back and let her take her pace and she's so worried "am I not doing it right?" Pero has to take 3 deep breaths before he's centred enough to answer and then he helps her. Puts his hands on her hips to guide her. Puts one of her hands on his shoulder "steady now pequenita" and puts the other low on her belly and presses in so she can feel him. Loves the way she cries out. Bends forward to leave little marks everywhere he can reach. She's scrambling at his chest, leaving nail marks he loves, and finally grabbing his hair and pulling until he groans. Din and you dont have time. there's always a desire to make new years resolutions. that sweet 01/01 looks so perfect for new habits and new goals and it is a great time to start them. but in case nobody has ever told you this before, and you're like me, and you suffer every year struggling to accomplish even one of your goals and you'll be lucky to see december 31st having even one box checked, if that, let me tell you something really, really, important:

do you remember the "set realistic expectations for yourself" talk? well, sorry to break it to you, but sometimes your realistic expectations will be embarassing. and thats okay. to make an example, for a lot of people, "my new years goal is to shower consistently" is already considered bare minimum, and embarassing as is. and you know what? it might be too much for you. and thats okay. whether its mental illness, physical illness, any kind of struggle that you yourself are facing, setting really, really realistic goals for yourself is important. "my new years goal is to shower at least once a week" hell, if you have chronic pain that makes standing and showering difficult, twice a week. once a month. this doesnt make showering once a month the best thing you could do - obviously every day would be ideal - but maybe its realistic for you. maybe its not even a goal that will make any difference to an outsider looking in.

The point is to pick something, anything, that you want to work on, and have an honest, genuinely achievable goal. The point is to set yourself a goal you can make. not one that would theoretically fix all your problems. something that, you in your currently life, can do. And once you start hitting those little goals, the goals that look so pathetic and simple you'd be embarassed to admit you need them, other, more complicated goals will start fitting into place.

but even little goals require accountability, they require effort. so thats all this huddle is for. me and you, you and everyone here, lets make this year worth something. anything. even if it's just a small, almost unnoticable step forward, those steps matter and those steps can take you places and whatever it is you want to be and do, you can do it, one tiny, unseeable step at a time, you can do it. I know you can do it. hands in. we can do it.

The following post is a little rant about somethings that annoy me a little in the PJO rp scene (some happen in other fandoms too) or that my mind can't wrap around and make it make sense. Its just my opinion and in no form directed to anyone specific or trying to start drama, please don't start drama over silly shit. You've been warned. And i'm sorry in advance for the holy bible of a vent it is lol

✿ Honestly it makes no sense to me the idea that a young teen demigod, would be cabin leader if they don't show major responsibility and leadership skills over an older demigod that is there longer and have more experience. Honestly. And i don't mean that a younger person would not be responsible or could not be a good cabin leader, but they have to fit in the role or at least openly not like to be in it. It just don't make sense someone who basically don't care and it's 15-16 to be apointed leader.

✿ Other thing that bothers me a little is that is hard as fuck to find muses over 17... Like demigods can become adults and still be/stay at camp, honestly I believe this would be quite common for demigods that practically grew up at camp and don't have much experience outside besides missions. Of course I think after they have a serious relationship and plan to have kids that would change but I have a headcannon that someone would start a little village/residential area close to camp, so they can continue living in their comfort zone but with more privacy. Like maybe a place with smaller cabins or a building they'd go home to but once the day starts again, they go back to camp and basically work there.

✿ Also the amount of demigods from the big three. "Hey andy, this is a little hypocritical of you to say. You have demigods of all the big three" yeah, I know. Its just a little weird to see so many and this is just because on my old platform people prefer to keep them to a minimal because of the background of the books and all that.

✿ The last is how sometimes the characters appearance and powers don't seem to match their godly parents. Like, every god have a set of most common skills, traits and powers they pass along to their children, as in, most of their offspring will show them all or a mix of them. While they also have the more rare skills, traits and powers, that are EXCEPTIONS, so a small number of their children will have them. And there are also the things that they don't pass along or are not within their range or being, so it would not make sense that their children would have it. Like for example: poseidon kids will most of the times have green, or blue, eyes and dark hair. Or for Aphrodite's kids that most of the times are either romantic, sensual and/or care a lot about their appearance, also playing with others feelings. These are common traits, of course there are exceptions to every rule, but they should be that... Exceptions. If everyone are different, than are not exceptions anymore. That also includes how some gods don't have children at all for mythology/history reasons, like hera, hebe, artemis and hestia.

Okay those were fandom things that bothered me, but the following are specific roleplay things.

✿ I don't mind at all my partners age as far as interacting go, I don't have a DNI based on age only. But that being said, I wish people would put their age group on their blogs! And I don't mean the exact age, just a "minor" or "adult" or maybe "18+" or "21+" just so I (and others) know how to be respectful and act accordingly. I'll not send adult shit to minors and I would not feel good the other way around too. But it gets hard to do that if I dont know your age. "But andy, you can see the muse age..." Thats not the same! There is minors who have adult muses and adults who have minor muses. Its tricky when it don't need to be.

✿ I feel like a lot of people don't show interest in actually writing or roleplaying, this may be just a personal take, but if you constantly answer with only: "hm", "hi", "good"... Or half a dozen words that don't have any hook or action, thoughts, etc. If feels bad! It feels for me like you don't care or don't want to be there, like I'm the only one trying to write something with a meaning or an idea to keep going. It makes ME feel bad and I then drop the idea of interacting because it feels bad and pointless.

✿ This last point is just something I don't personally understand the appeal but I get that its just personal taste. I don't get the idea of a character blog, like it is still an online blog but as if the person behind it was the character writing on their computer the posts. I personally don't understand it, but thats just about me.

That was it I guess. Again, this is just a rant/vent about things from my end, its not personal or directed towards anyone specifically. Don't start drama! But feel free to comment here about it so we can discuss it, if you want to.

You know, i have been thinking about it and it bothers me more ( shocker i know, the OCD person thought of something and it bothers them, they cannot let things go!!!! /sarc /silly )

William Afton, or any FNAF character really. Doesn't really have a lot of lore. Like he has ENOUGH for us to theorize some things or straight up believe other things, most characters do. I only really realized this when listening to Rye Toast's video on him for her FNAF timeline.

And now to back track a little. I do selfship with William Afton, but thats NOT what this blog is about, this blog is for all things FNAF. However lately i find myself either too scared to selfship with him again, or i don't feel the energy ( which also makes me feel bad ).

And then i realized, its probably lack of energy, lack of artistic creativity, and also sometimes lack of me fronting.

So to go back with what i started with and to round it all up: most FNAF fans, are JUST crushing on, adoring, loving, some sort of fanmade version of a character that either they made themselves or someone else made. This can be said for a lot of other fandoms too ( ex: Analog horror ).

And this is NO way me judging those people or saying "aha you guys don't like the original , loreless version". No by all means do what you want forever.

What I'm getting at is Anyone who mocks you for enjoying a FNAF character whether its William who is a villain or Michael or even just Glamrock Chica-

They're wrong. I mean they are anyway, but they're double wrong due to you or the people you follow have made a version that you enjoy.

FNAF has been like this forever! People STILL crush on / prefer Vincent.

I'm not gonna get into it today, but one of the reasons i selfship with William isn't just "evil killer mad scientist hot". But because in a odd way both him as himself and Springtrap helped me get through things.

Thats what fictional characters do, even ones you don't expect, they help you through the roughest times in your life. And maybe thats part of why i don't feel as connected- because while I'm still struggling, relationship wise i am safe and my mental self is mostly safe until i can afford therapy.

i think one of the biggest heartbreaks for authors, or at least me, is having so many ideas that you truly think your community would enjoy, and then not be able to put it into words- whether that be from lack of motivation or writers block/paralysis.

its the same with drawing, as well.

now, im gonna preface this with, i am autistic and not the best at conveying my thoughts sometimes. its odd for me to reach out to the internet like this- especially to connect with fandom micro-celebrities with my 'personal' problems-, and it's gonna be a little bit more aimed towards myself and my struggles. but, i'm positive that i'm not alone in this.

i just have all of these ideas, but so little motivation to do them even though i want to. i want to create these pieces of art, but i'm realizing that that lack of interaction (comments, reblogs, kudos) discourages me- as it did in the past, causing me to abandon ideas that i wanted to share, because nobody wanted them.

its hard, but i know i'm not the only one who feels like this, so i guess this is me reaching out to the creative community. even if it seems self-indulgent, i just want to actually reach people with similar interests as me, who actually want to conversate and connect through them. who knows; maybe that's asking too much, and i'd understand if it is.

i'm far from new to writing fanfiction, but only once was i able to actually gain traction on something- a oneshot book i uploaded to wattpad in 2017, when i was 14. while it was okay back then, my writing has improved so much since then and i think my fear of not reaching an actual, targeted audience is holding me back waaaay more than i realized when i got back into writing a little over a year ago.

since then, i've started three different fanfictions that ended up thrown away and unfinished. it sucks.

this has kind of turned into an unintentional rant, but it's also a question to the successful authors, if you've made it this far- and i so greatly appreciate if you have.

What I like about these scenarios is that the victim just casually gets themselves on the situations. Like I was just using the short cut I've always used or I'm literally just taking the train to school. It's all so easy and simple and to the point, not to mention all that comedic potential. And there's no brute force involved, just an embarrasment predicament and someone coming by to take the opportunity~~

The Trapped in a wall trope is very versatile, it doesn't even have to be in a wall and it doesn't have to be in a vertical way. When I tell you that posibilities are endless I truly mean it and they all are sososo good! And yes, here is where most of the comedy is stored, I don't think I need to explain much on the way, you can find yourself that if the story isn't a hurt/no comfort prostitution one, then it's most likely a more lighthearted funny kinda story ;P

On the other hand, if the Chikan is not literally Being molested from behind standing up in a crowded train then it doesn't do it for me lmao. I've read the sitting next to the pervert, on a bus, straight up gangrape on a train tropes and I'm like ._. jsksjksjsk I'm not exactly sure why I'm so precise with this one but yeah I can read this exact same plot a thousand times and it never loses its charm, I really really love this one ♡

I enjoy dubcon too. Blackmail, hypnosis, just having good enough oration, get someone to sleep with your words, with the power of your mind and strategy, by being Very Convincing. The Grisha always describe the “making at the heart of the world” as this powerful natural order that precedes all things. I’ve always been somewhat curious about how much truth there is to it. Obviously in the Grishaverse, Grisha are very much real. So is there a canonical magical origin story for the world? The Blight in the Zoya Duology is described as being a corruption of the natural order, a reversion to whatever existed before the making at the heart of the world. Grisha powers are inseparable from the person they belong to (ignoring Alina here) so it seems that maybe Grisha are more in tune with the making? But Saint Grigori the bear guy also said in KoS that he taught the first Heartrenders… so I’m confused about how this works. I feel like I’m missing something very important in the worldbuilding.

You feel like you miss something from the worldbuilding because the author hasn't written in detail how exactly the Grisha powers have come to be.

Heartrenders might already had their powers but Grigori taught them how to use them and manipulate them correctly possibly? (So what, does that mean that the first Heartrenders were stupid?)

Ravka seems to worship Saints, not Gods. Okay. But how did the first Grisha got his powers? Where did they come from?

The "making at the heart of the world" is the very root of every Grisha power which fundamentally means that they manipulate the matter around them but they cannot create it. They cannot create life. That's why Alina was shocked when she saw the Darkling creating nichevo'ya. But apart from that, nada.

Leigh has created a religion and a group with powers but has never dived deep to explain to the readers what the hell is going on. She has just thrown around some random words "making at the heart of the world", "merzost", "thisness" and "thatness", explained in a few sentences what each of them are but the readers are still confused because she has created more questions.

Really, even us (the fandom) don't know much and even the explanations we have are too confusing and sometimes contradict each other.

Tolkien had built an entire mythology before he even started writing "The Hobbit" but unlike Leigh he was a genius and had carefully planned his story.

Thats an interesting question. Probably not one anyone but Morpheus himself could answer. As you said it means different things for different people. Sometimes sex is just a primal desire for carnal pleasure, sometimes its about developing a deeper connection, sometimes its about "love making" with someone you are intimately connected to, sometimes its simply an act for reproductive purposes.

From a human perspective it is very difficult to imagine sex and sexual intimacy from the view point of different beings. We are still only in the very early stages of understanding the importance of sex among other animals on Earth outside of just reproduction, and we know that some animals also have sex for pleasure or for intimacy bonding.

Morpheus, like all of the Endless, is a creature that exist so far outside of anything that we can truly understand. They are anthropomorphic personifications of concepts. What is sex to a dream? When a dream is such a loose concept in itself - dreams and wishes, and midnight sleeping hallucinations created by the unconscious mind... that sex is often a part of, sometimes in insanely bizarre and disturbing ways. Dreams and sex kinda go hand in hand, and Morpheus IS Dream, sooooo... sex is probably quite important to him in lots of ways...

Okay maybe I went a bit too deep there for a moment lol. Lets tackle this on a smaller scale. We know from the comics that Morpheus, as a human shaped creature, has sex. We know he has taken many lovers, only some of which we ever actually learn about. We know he has the ability to reproduce, since he has a son. We know he has human genitals (thank you Sandman: Overture for the full frontal nudity) and that as a male shaped being he prefers to take lovers of a female shape (though juries still out on what exactly happened between him and Lucifer with his smooth Ken-doll groin).

We know from Calliope's rather inappropiate speech at the Wake that not only did they have plenty of sex, that he was very very good at it, enough for Calliope to feel completely consumed by their passion. We know he enjoyed sex with Nada so much that he projected their love making to the entire collective unconscious at the time (one hell of a leaked sex tape there!) so not only is he an excellent lover who is very good at sex, he also clearly enjoys it himself if he can lose control that much from it.

I am hesitant to say that he only has sex with people he loves, though it does seem rather consistent, other than perhaps the situation with Titania which we never learn anything more about - the Audible audiobook briefly elaborates and has Morpheus and Titania very briefly mention that they slept together and it appears to be something they both think of fondly but certainly aren't in love so I wonder if Titania was just a casual fling? Otherwise I doubt they'd still be on good terms! (It's funny how fandom jokes that he commissioned a Midsummer Nights Dream as a way to insult Titania but in the actual comic this totally is not the case, he commissioned it to honour her and her people. Whatever happened between Titania and Morpheus, it did not end on bad terms.) So because of that, I can't really say that he only ever has sex with people he is deeply in love with.

Honestly I reckon that since he was created by a cishet allosexual man he was written with the sexual appetite of a cishet allosexual man. He probably isn't demi or ace and he probably isn't meant to be queer (though arguably a creature such as he could never be shoved into such a limited box as "heterosexual").

Note: I don't even want to attempt to get into the various "aspects" of Dream where there is a version of Dream for every living thing that dreams in the universe and therefore have to contemplate whether Dream has also had love affairs with creatures of all different types outside of regular human shaped female creatures though I am very curious to see if the King of Cats ever took a female cat lover (i mean honestly if regular Dream was totally cool flirting with Lady Bast...) in which case we can also argue that fem!Dream takes lovers, weird robot alien Dream takes lovers, Martian flaming head Dream takes lovers and so on and so forth.

There is also the interesting dynamic between Dream and his sibling Desire, because sex is what Desire is all about, and sex technically falls under their remit - hence the many many falling outs and tensions between them where Desire appears to be the principle instigator of Dreams romantic woes. I think that for this reason, Dream probably represses his desires for sex (and love) as much as possible, and if he were on better terms with his sibling, would probably seek out sex and romance more often than he does - Thessaly being an outlier because I fully believe he pursued her as an attempt at self sabotage as an awful rebound affair following the situation where he had to face his romantic failings with Nada, Calliope, and Alianora in short succession.

In some attempt at a conclusion: what does sex mean for Morpheus? Well, its something he likes, is good at, and if given the choice would probably like to have more of it, preferably with someone he is in love with who loves him in return, given his romantic inclinations. At the same time, bearing in mind who and what he is, there is probably nothing that even the absolutely filthiest of kinksters could come up with that would surprise him, nothing that he hasn't seen or used in some way to create the most bizarre sex dreams possible, and nothing that would shock or disturb him (it's not like he ever blinked an eye even on his trips to Hell). Though whether or not that means he is into kinky shit well, the only indication of his preferences we can conclude is that he likes strong confident women who can talk back to him, and impress him and treat him as equals rather than the powerful creature he is. So maybe he's secretly a sub? :P
