YOU MENTIONED BOJANGLES!! IM SO PROUD THANK YOU FOR TGE REAL NC REPRESENTATION
WHY YES OF COURSE! I am always terrified of accidentally being insensitive (ocd tendencies who? where?) so I have kept NOTES from all the NC peeps sending me the lore bc I want to make it believable.
Trust that if you send me NC facts, I will keep them stashed away with my story notes bc I like to learn and also not write about stuff I don't know at all lol.
#Like even calling her grandparents meemaw and peepaw was a bit on the nose for me at first#despite it being a thing americans call their grandparents#(according to what I could find)#which they don't do at all where I'm from#like there's no cute names for them#it's just 'father's mother' ie. farmor or 'mother's mother' ie. mormor and so on#like our system is cute too but meemaw and peepaw is on another level and **mawmaw!!**#shout out to my mawmaws out there#asks and answers#sleep deprivation has reached the Free Tedtalk stage#also the Norwegian stuff for Matthias#though I feel a bit more informed with him bc Norwegians are closer to me geographically and culturally#We just name our things differently#like the cookies mentioned are 'sirup snipper' and they're pretty much brunkager but slightly to the left? I think?#Cheerwine and Bojangles I don't have the equivalent to#maybe red soda?#we have a soda here called just#red soda#it's very very red#I think it's supposed to taste like raspberry#but it just tastes red and like sugar - like you'll feel your bones vibrate levels of sugar#fun fact my friend told me; In HOO Dakota drinks Red Soda⢠in the Danish translation bc we don't have Kool-Aid#I'm not actually sure I fully understand the point of Kool-Aid#I understand it's a powder#that you mix with water#to get#â¨flavored water#but then you also mix in sugar...yourself?#but why didn't they include that in the packet?#like we have grenadine and ribena and stuff here

Oh mother, tell your children Not to do what I have done Spend your lives in sin and misery In the house of The Rising Sun
#okay but can we agree? House of the rising sun? beautiful amazing incredible timeless masterpiece? yeah?#all i want is to put on a cute 70s dress with the bell sleeves and some gogo boots and get my hair all pretty with the flip curls#and go to one of those really cool and dark and lowkey shady bars you see on the movies. with a pool table and a jukebox#hard-looking bartender with an impressive mustache named Mitch or Hank#and go up to the bar and he'd be like âwhatya having doll?â âoh. anything sweet pleaseâ#and he hands me some soda-gin or whatever with a lemon slice. and the guy next to me notices my drink and is like#âhey Mitch. give the lady something nicer eh? maker a double from the back shelf. extra iceâ#âi'm fine with this actually. i don't drink whiskeyâ âtonight you do sweetheartâ#and he's wearing some really nice jeans and boots and a dark shirt and a leather jacket. dark hair but has some freckles. charming smile.#âwhat is a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this? i think them church youths go bowling next doorâ#âi am not lost. can't a girl enjoy some musicâ âdoes the boyfriend know?â âi answer to no oneâ#and he takes a long drag of his cigarette and chuckles. Mitch brings my new drink as gives him a look before drafting some beer#âso. the pretty lady likes a little danger eh?â âthe lady has a nameâ .#i take a sip of the whiskey and try real hard not to cough. he thinks it's funny. i think he's a little cute#âdoes she now? and does the lady dance by any chanceâ and he's standing up quite tall and offers me a hand âshe doesâ#and we go to the dance floor near the jukebox where quite a lot of people are dancing and eventually this song starts playing#and he kisses me surprisingly gentle and tastes like menthol cigarettes and hard liquors and I'm definitely a bit dizzy from the drink#he probably has a cute name like Daniel (Danny is what everyone calls him)#and maybe he has a bike or a really nice convertible. obviously red. je offers to take me home but we're just driving for a bit instead#âdidn't you daddy taught not to get into stranger's cars?â âmy daddy also taught me not to kiss pretty boys and yetâ#âso you think i'm pretty?â âpretty enoughâ#and we laugh to the wind and the radio is on and this song starts playing again and it's a perfect moment#anyways. great song great band đ#darya's mixtape#Spotify

actually if I migrate my ceramics site to the hosting service I use for my kkm site it'll be a lot cheaper bc then I can just upgrade my plan.... it'd be like an extra $72/yr to upgrade vs like $250+for another year of squarespace AND it includes email so I'd be able to get email addresses set up for both sites which would rock !!
#I'm paid thru march on squarespace so I'm not migrating till then but I'm really glad that i have options#between that and maybe occasionally taking a non-soda class i can save a lot of money and maybe get outta the red next year lol

DPxDC "Pick Me Up"
The stream goes live on the first day of the school year. It's the usual song and dance - mad laughing, threats, poor jokes, terror, and about thirty kids huddled together in a classroom behind Joker's back. Tim recognizes it as one of the Gotham Academy classrooms. Dick can't imagine the horror those kids' parents must be feeling right now. Jason jokes about middle school traumatic experiences. Damian is feeling very justified for skipping classes today.
Bruce, all suited up in his Batman garb, is making his way to the Academy as fast as he possibly can. Those are kids.
Gotham is once again anxiously kept on the edge of their seats, watching as Joker decides to interview the kids on their learning experience so far. Something about leaving a good first impression on the new generation or some other bullshit. Most kids stutter over their words - it's true that Gothamites are way more composed when facing life-threatening events, but those kids are only fourteen or fifteen for the most part. They are not old enough to keep their cool in the face of a murder clown.
That is, until Joker points his camera at one of the girls. Black hair in a high ponytail, blue eyes without a trace of fear, a slightly displeased, even bored expression on her face. She looks straight into the camera, not even waiting for the laughing madman to finish his question, and deadpans:
"I don't think I like school. Pick me up, please."
Joker sputters.
"Not so scared, I see," he sneers, and, in the next moment, a comically large gun painted in purples and greens is pointed to the girl's forehead, "How about now?"
The girl scrunches her nose and makes a so-so gesture.
"It's kinda meh," she admits, "Like, yeah, points for style, but you know, size doesn't matter. It's all in the technique."
Dick snorts over the comms. It's a bad time for laughing, sure, but the phrase caught him off-guard. This is not what you'd expect to hear from a teen, and definitely not something you'd expect anyone to say to the Joker. Jason's comms are muted, but Barbara knows he also laughed a little.
"Technique, you say?" Joker hisses, pressing the gun closer to the girl's head, and she winces, leaning away from it, almost as if she is disgusted by the touch.
"Yeah, I mean, guns are not that scary anyway. What are you gonna do with them, blast my brains all over the floor? Been there, done that," the girl shrugs, "Kinda nasty, but overall, it's just like slime, only sticky." She pauses and looks to the side, seemingly lost in thought, "Huh, maybe we should have added Borax to it. Or was it baking soda?.."
"Listen here, you little brat," Joker's fingers catch the girl's chin, and his voice becomes sickeningly menacing. Bruce is almost there, just two more minutes. Tim is already grappling onto the wall.
But none of them get to finish.
"Put your dirty fingers away from my sister," a low, cold, and even in a way that speaks of barely contained fury, voice comes from out of the screen.
The camera spins, like whoever is holding it turned really fast, and everyone watching the stream sees a fairly normal guy standing by the window - a turtleneck and ripped jeans, same black hair as the girl, same blue eyes... Wait, they are not blue.
And that's not a guy.
The camera falls down to the floor, and there are a lot of panicked screams coming from the broadcast now, but none of them sound like children's voices. It's the screams of adults, of grown-ass men, and later, someone even claimed they heard Joker's scream among them, too. The picture on camera glitches a few times, and the angle is awkward, but everyone still gets to see how shadows in the room morph into eyes, wide open and green, and how the darkness grows sharp teeth, countless grinning mouths that don't belong to any faces.
Screams turn into gargling and then to quiet whispers, filling the ears of all those listening with countless words in languages they don't know.
Red Robin turns off the recording and looks to that same guy from the levestream, sitting across him on the couch. The guy - Daniel, or Danny, as he introduced himself - looks him in the eyes and raises an eyebrow.
"Okay, and?"
"How did you do it?" Tim asks for the third time this evening. Danny blinks.
"Did what?" He asks, completely incomprehending. Tim groans. He's been trying to get his answers, any answers at this point, from the guy for thirty fucking minutes already. So far, he's got nothing. Danny, whoever the fuck he is, proves to be the most annoying human being on Earth.
"Seven people in a coma, including Joker himself, with no physical injuries and none of the children remember a thing! How?!" He demands, and a girl's face peeks from around the corner:
"I remember!"
Tim snaps his head at her, "What do you remember?"
The girl pauses, blinks, and looks to Danny. Then shrugs, "My brother picked me up from school."
Tim drops his head down and breathes out in frustration. He can't force the information out of civilians, he is a vigilante, not a mafia.
"Would it make you feel better if I promise not to do it again?" Danny asks, and his voice is way too innocent for Tim to believe him. He raises his head to look the guy in his shameless, amused eyes.
"I hate you."
"Thanks," Danny grins.

professional yearner (jake sim edition)
summary: growing up, you had two heroes: jake and sunghoon. thick and thin, chaos and crayons, they were always there. so when your ex dumped you for "being so oddly close to your best friendsâ well⌠fair. but what he didnât get is that you never needed him. youâve always had jake sim and maybe that was the problem.
genre: fluff | best friends to lovers | jake's a professional yearner
characters: best friend!jake x f!reader
words: 13k??
warnings: kissing? making out? thats it!
The schoolyard was too hot. The kind of heat that made your socks stick to your ankles and your patience wear thin. It smelled vaguely like cheese sticks and someoneâs forgotten gym shirt. And in the middle of it allâJake Sim was crying.
Not the loud, hiccuping kind. No. Jake cried the way the sky threatened rainâquiet, heavy, trembling on the edge. His eyes were red, his mouth pressed into a thin, brave line, and his fingers clutched a half-crushed grape soda like it might hold him together.
Across from him stood Minhyuk Kang. Middle school tyrant. Bad haircut. Worse personality. He was smirking like heâd won something.
You werenât having it.
Your backpack hit the ground as you stormed across the yard, fists curled tight. Your heart pounded in your ears. You didnât even thinkâjust moved, fueled by friendship and blind loyalty.
âHey!â you shouted, voice cracking. âPick on someone your own size, youâoversized⌠loser!â
Not your best. You were eleven. Your brain was still 60% Capri Sun.
Minhyuk blinked, unimpressed. Then shoved you. Hard.
You hit the pavement with a thud, landing on your butt. Your backpack burst openâpapers, pencils, and one private doodle of a sparkly unicorn horse went flying across the asphalt.
Laughter erupted around you.
And thenâ
That sigh.
That tired, long-suffering sigh that said âIâm getting tired of this,â from a boy who was spiritually seventy-five years old.
Park Sunghoon.
He approached with his hoodie sleeves covering his hands and his cap tilted sideways, like he couldnât be bothered but also like he was already deciding how to fix this. He stopped beside you and glanced at the chaosâJakeâs glassy eyes, your scraped knees, Minhyukâs dumb smirk.
Without saying a word, he gave Minhyuk a look.
The kind of look that could curdle milk. Or send boys twice his size packing.
Minhyuk flinched. Then, like the coward he was, mumbled something about catching his bus and slinked away.
You blinked up at Sunghoon. Jake sniffed beside you.
And thenâwithout coordination, without thinkingâyou and Jake both lunged forward and wrapped your arms around Sunghoon at the same time.
He froze. Sighed again. But he didnât pull away.
âIâm gonna be stuck looking after you two for the rest of my life, arenât I?â he muttered.
You grinned into his sleeve. âYep.â
âDefinitely,â Jake added, his voice a little wobbly but smiling now.
Sunghoon didnât say he loved you.
He didnât have to.
The cafeteria buzzed around youânoisy, fluorescent, filled with the sound of trays clattering and people trying too hard to sound casual. Jake was nursing a carton of strawberry milk, lazily spinning it between his fingers. Sunghoon sat across from him, trying and failing to look like he wasnât deeply regretting his protein bar.
Jake leaned over dramatically, voice pitched just loud enough to reach Sunghoon but still just out of your range. âLook at her,â he whispered, grinning. âIn love. Disgusting.â
Sunghoon didnât look up. âI give it two minutes before she makes us throw up.â
You shot them a look over your shoulder and tossed a crumpled napkin in their direction. âShut up. Iâm talking.â
Jake put on a high-pitched falsetto immediately. ââHi baby. No, baby, you hang up first. No, you.ââ
Sunghoon chimed in, completely deadpan. ââBabymuffin. Babylove. Babyback ribs.ââ
You bit back your laugh and turned away, pressing the phone closer to your ear, trying to keep your voice soft. âNo, Iâm not ignoring you. Iâm with Jake and Sunghoon.â
There was a pause.
Then, flat and cold: ââŚAgain?â
Your stomach dropped. Just a little.
âI told you Iâd be with them today,â you said. âItâs the championship game.â
âYou said youâd try to come to my gig,â came the reply, sharper now. âYou promised. But of course youâd rather play cheerleader for those two.â
âItâs not like that,â you said, your voice tightening. âI told you weeks ago this was important. Theyâve worked so hard for thisââ
âJesus. Do you even care about me?â he cut in. âOr am I just the guy you date when your real boyfriends are busy?â
Your hand clenched around your phone. âWhat the hell is that supposed to mean?â
âYouâre always choosing them. Every time. Like Iâm your backup planââ
âTheyâre my best friends.â You snapped now, barely keeping your voice down. âYou knew that from the beginning.â
And that was when you noticed: the table had gone silent. Jake wasnât spinning his milk anymore. Sunghoonâs jaw was tight. Both of them were watching you.
âAnd youâre supposed to be my girlfriend,â your boyfriend hissed through the line. âBut I guess that means nothing to you.â
You stared down at the table.
Then, softly, with every ounce of control you had left: âYou should know that Sunghoon and Jake areâ.â
Click.
The line went dead.
The phone hit the table with a muted thud.
You didnât look up. Not right away. Your arms crossed, your nails digging into your sleeves. Your heart pounded too fast, too hard, and it wasnât even from the words. It was from how familiar this had started to feel. Like you were always apologizing for choosing the people who never made you feel like a second choice.
Jakeâs voice came low, tight. âWhatâd that idiot say this time?â
Gone was the teasing lilt, the sunshine tone. He looked like he was one bad sentence away from marching across campus and settling it the old-fashioned way. Sunghoon nudged him under the table but Jake didnât look away from you.
You finally glanced up, eyes tired. Your voice came quiet. âItâs your championship day. Letâs not ruin it.â
Jake held your gaze for a beat longer than necessary. His jaw flexed.
But he nodded.
For now.
â
You kept your arms crossed, head low, your gaze fixed somewhere on the cracks in the pavement. Not in a sulking way. Not even angry. Just⌠heavy. The kind of quiet where the world felt muffled, like someone had turned the volume down on everything.
Jake didnât say anything. Not at first.
He just walked beside you in silenceâhis steps matching yours like second nature. Every few moments, the soft fabric of his hoodie brushed your sleeve, but he didnât try to fill the quiet with noise. Just stayed close. Present. Like always.
Then, after a beat, he gently bumped your shoulder with his.
You didnât look up, not right away. But you felt it. That familiar nudge. Like he was reminding you: hey, still here.
A few more steps passed before his voice came, light but careful.
âHow many fingers am I holding up behind my back?â
You stopped walking.
Your breath hitched, just a little.
God. That game.
It used to be your thing. A childhood ritual for every scraped knee, every bad grade, every time you wanted to cry but didnât. Jake would hold his hand behind his back and make you guess. If you got it right, youâd get a prizeâusually something ridiculous. A neon sticker. A broken crayon. One time, a scribbled picture of you with superpowers and him as the hulk.
You hadnât played that game in years.
But the second he said it, a small appeared on your lips.
You glanced sideways.
ââŚSeriously?â
Jake smiled. The kind that barely lifted one corner of his mouthâthe one that felt like a secret. Like it was just for you.
âCâmon,â he said, eyes glinting. âLetâs see if youâve still got it.â
You swallowed.
âTwo,â you murmured.
Jake didnât break eye contact. Just slowly turned and held out his hand behind his back, showing youâ
Two fingers.
You let out the softest breath of a laugh. The kind that didnât really sound like one. Just a shaky little puff of air. But it was enough to lighten your shoulders.
Jake grinned, triumphant. âCorrect. Prize pending.â
You shook your head, a real smile threatening your lips now. âYou still owe me for the time you cheated and held up zero.â
Jakeâs eyes widened in mock horror. âThat wasnât cheating. That was high-level psychological warfare.â
âYou made me do the chicken dance in front of my mom for a sticker.â
âYou did it twice.â
âYou said the first one lacked commitment.â
Jake was laughing now, soft and golden, and you couldnât help it. You laughed too. Quiet. Cracked around the edges. But real.
The silence between you didnât feel heavy anymore.
He tilted his head toward the lecture hall ahead. âGo grab a seat,â he said softly. âIâll get you a coffee.â
You blinked. âYou donât have toââ
âI want to,â he said, already backing away. âUnless youâd rather have emotional support gummies.â
You rolled your eyes, but your smile was warm. âCoffee, please.â
Jake gave you a little saluteâtwo fingers, same as before. âComing right up, princess.â
You stood there for a beat too long, then finally made your way into the lecture hall, choosing a seat near the back. You slung your bag down beside you and reached into your pocket, fingers brushing something crinkly.
You frowned. Pulled it out.
Your favorite candy.
The exact brand. The exact flavor. Not something youâd had on you today.
Your breath caught.
Jake.
He mustâve slipped it into your pocket when he bumped your shoulder. Probably while you were distracted. Quiet. Thoughtful. Stupidly considerate.
You stared at the wrapper like it meant something. Like it said everything he couldnât.
You tucked it into your bag gently, like it was something precious.
Outside, somewhere in a line too long for a Tuesday afternoon, Jake was probably ordering your coffee with extra sugar and exactly two pumps of vanilla.
Because of course he remembered.
Of course he always did.
And maybe you didnât say it out loud.
But in that momentâyou didnât feel so heavy anymore. Because no matter what, you had Jake.
â-
The bleachers vibrated beneath your feet, alive with nervous energy. Late afternoon sunlight poured across the field in gold streaks, turning everything too bright, too cinematic. You stood at the railing beside Niki and Sunoo, fingers curled tight around the metal bar, heart pounding harder than the game announcerâs voice overhead.
Your phone wouldnât stop buzzing.
Are you seriously ditching my gig for those two idiot friends of yours?Again? Really?Youâre always doing this. You say I'm important, but itâs always them.Youâre not dating them. Youâre dating ME.
You rolled your eyes.
There was no use replying. Youâd tried. He never got it.
Jake and Sunghoon werenât just friends.
They were everything. They were your history. They were your present. They were scraped knees and matching science fair disasters. They were the reason your parents felt safe sending you to college. They were Sunday family dinners and sleepovers that never really ended.
They were home.
And okayâmaybe your gaze drifted toward Jake a little more than it shouldâve lately. Maybe it always had. Not in a way you noticed at the time. Not in a way that meant anything.
Just⌠in a way. As a friend, cf course. He was justâŚalways sweet. What could you do?
Your eyes found him instantly.
Jakeânumber 10.
Sunlight caught the edges of his hair, wind tugging at the loose strands near his ears. His jersey clung to him, damp with sweat, legs quick and sure as he shouted across the field. His eyes were locked in, his whole body moving with this reckless kind of energy that made him hard to look away from.
Not that you were trying to look away.
You shook your head and scanned the field again, trying to find Sunghoonâbut your gaze found Jake instead.
Again.
The crowd roared as the clock ticked down. 2â2. Final minute. The tension in the air buzzed through your chest like a live wire.
âI canât watch,â Sunoo muttered beside you, peeking between his fingers. âHeâs gonna pass out.â
âShut up,â Niki hissed. âItâs getting good.â
Your eyes tracked Jakeâs every step. He had the ball nowâlegs moving like water, flowing past defenders like they werenât even there. Sunghoon flanked beside him, silent and steady, drawing players away.
Then Jake cut sharp to the left.
A beat.
A breath.
And then he kicked.
The ball soared.
Time stopped.
It flew past the goalieâclean, sureâand hit the net with a glorious, perfect thwack.
Silence.
And then chaos.
The stadium erupted. Teammates swarmed the field, screaming, leaping, colliding into Jake like a tidal wave of celebration. People were crying. Someone was waving a flag. You mightâve blacked out for a second.
But JakeâJake didnât stay buried in the huddle.
He pulled himself out.
Looked up.
And saw you.
And then, he ran.
Straight through the chaos, through teammates and coaches and cheering fans.
Right to you.
âPRINCESS, DID YOU SEE THAT?!â he yelled, already grinning like he couldnât contain it.
You didnât even think.
You ran.
You jumped into his armsâlegs around his waist, arms around his neckâand he caught you like gravity didnât exist between the two of you.
He spun you around, both of you laughing, breathless and weightless in the middle of a stadium filled with noise.
âThat was insane, right?!â he said, still spinning, still grinning like a madman.
âYouâre insane!â you yelled back. âThatâs my best friend!!â
He held you tighter for a second.
You barely noticed how close you were. How steady his hands felt against your waist. How natural it felt to be in his arms.
You didnât think too much about the way your laugh curled into something softer as he smiled at you. Or how your fingers lingered at the back of his neck just a moment too long.
You were just happy.
And Jake?
Jake was still looking at you like youâd hung the stars yourself.
But then you saw him.
At the edge of the crowd.
Your boyfriend.
He was standing stiffly, guitar slung over his back, eyes dark. He looked right at you. Then at Jake.
Then back at you.
And you saw it happenâsaw the confirmation of every suspicion heâd ever thrown at you. Every insecure question. Every argument. Every pointed âyouâre always with them.â
His jaw clenched.
And then he mouthed it.
Two words. Sharp. Final.
Weâre done.
And he turned.
â-
The door slammed open behind you with enough force to shake the picture frames.
You didnât check to see if Jake and Sunghoon were behind you. Of course they were. You could hear their footsteps trailing in, less hurried than yours but tinged with the same confused urgency. Like golden retrievers caught in a rainstormâuncertain, blinking, too loyal to run.
âI cannot believe he dumped me!â you snapped, flinging your bag onto the floor like it had betrayed you. âHe. Mr. Can't-Name-Three-Films-By-Studio-Ghibli. Mr. âI think astrology is fake but also Iâm a Scorpio so thatâs just how I am.ââ
You kicked your shoes off, one of them narrowly missing the umbrella stand.
Jake ducked.
Sunghoon raised his eyebrows and wisely stayed quiet.
âI mean,â you huffed, voice going up a pitch as you spun toward them, âhe plays the same three songs on guitar and called Christopher Nolan âoverrated.â And heâthat man-child with a Spotify playlist called âsad vibezâ and no vowelsâbroke up with me?!â
Sunghoon winced. Jake looked like he was watching a house on fire and wondering if throwing himself into it would help.
You threw your hands up in disbelief. âI was going to dump him! I had a list! A literal note in my phone! And this manâthis emo scarecrow of a boyfriendâhad the audacity to beat me to it?!â
You stormed to the living room and collapsed onto the couch like it owed you reparations, arms flung over your face as you let out a long, frustrated groan.
âI canât believe this. He said I was emotionally unavailable. Me! The girl who went to all his stupid open mic nights and pretended his lyrics werenât just stolen posts from 2018 Twitter in stupid long verses.â
In the hallway, Jake leaned toward Sunghoon.
âShould we, like⌠say something?â
Sunghoon didnât even look away from you. âAbsolutely not.â
Jake frowned. âYouâre the stable one. You talk to her.â
âYouâre the one in love with her.â
Jake made a wounded sound in the back of his throat. âThatâs notâI meanâIâmââ
âYou literally made her tea last night and wrote her name on the mug in sharpie like a loser.â
Jake whispered, âIt was a nice mug.â
You sat up abruptly, glaring at them like a storm cloud with a vendetta. âHEY. Tweedle Dee. Tweedle Dum. Shut the hell up. Iâm having a justified crisis.â
They both stiffened like theyâd been caught shoplifting.
You threw yourself back onto the couch again, dramatically draping your arm across your face.
Silence.
Thenâ
âShe definitely just called us Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum,â Jake whispered.
âYouâre Dum,â Sunghoon replied flatly.
âAt least I didnât cry watching Tangled.â
ââŚYou said you wouldnât bring that up again.â
âThen stop being Dum.â
You let out a guttural groan. âCan one of you just bring me ice cream or, like, a time machine so I can go back and tell myself to swipe left?â
Another pause.
Then quiet footsteps.
And a moment later, something cold landed in your lap.
Your favorite ice cream.
Jake didnât say a word. Just sat on the floor in front of the couch, back leaning against it like it was the most natural thing in the world, head tilted slightly to look up at you.
He didnât smile. Not fully. Just that soft, familiar curve of his lips that youâd seen a thousand times, always reserved for you. The kind that didnât ask for anything, didnât demand a responseâjust offered quiet presence.
Sunghoon dropped onto the floor beside him with a sigh, already scrolling through Netflix.
And you?
You breathed. For the first time all day, you breathed.
It didnât erase the anger. Didnât fix the betrayal. Didnât un-stupid your ex.
But it made your chest ache a little less.
Because even in your most unhinged, spite-fueled, mascara-streaked momentsâyou still had this.
You had your boys.
â-
Your room was quiet, except for the low hum of the party a few buildings downâthe bass thudding like a heartbeat through the floorboards, too far to join, too loud to ignore.
The fairy lights on your wall glowed soft and golden, casting little halos across your shelves, your pillows, the stack of unread books by your bed.
You sat cross-legged on your comforter, oversized hoodie bunched around your hands, hair damp from your post-meltdown shower. There was still a tightness in your chest, the kind that didnât quite hurt, but hadnât let you breathe fully in days.
Sunghoon stood behind you, a hairbrush in his hand.
âYou sure you donât wanna go?â he asked, gently easing the brush through the tangles near your crown.
You shrugged, slow and small. âAnd see him all over her? Iâd rather chew glass.â
Herâbeing the bass player in your exâs band. The one he swore was âjust a friendâ until he posted a ten-second Instagram story of himself shoving his tongue down her throat. Classy.
Honestly, you still didnât know what you ever saw in that idiot.
Sunghoon sighed. You felt it more than you heard itâlow and long, his breath ruffling a strand of your hair.
He didnât say anything else. Just kept brushing, slow and steady, like he could detangle your hurt the way he was detangling the ends of your hair.
He always did this.
Ever since you were ten and crying after a costume mishap in the school play. Heâd walked you home, sat you down, andâwordlesslyâgrabbed the brush from your desk. Heâd been doing it ever since. Whenever your heart cracked, he patched it up strand by strand.
He even used your products now. Knew the exact amount of leave-in conditioner. Knew how to finger-detangle without tugging too hard. Knew when to talkâand more importantly, when not to.
You sat still, head tilted slightly forward, letting the rhythm lull you. The brush paused near the ends.
Then came the voice.
Quiet. Measured. A little softer than usual.
âHe didnât make you happy.â
You opened your mouth. But before anything could come outâ
âNot once,â Sunghoon continued. âYou bent so far backwards for him I was scared your spine would snap. And he never once met you halfway.â
You stared at your lap. Said nothing.
âI know itâs only been two days,â he said, letting out a little laugh, âbut honestly? The airâs been easier to breathe without him around. Jake and I Fortnite danced to High School Musical in the living room earlier. Jake even tried to do a backflip.â
You snorted. Couldnât help it.
Sunghoon grinned behind you. âAlmost died. But Iâve never seen the boy look so free.â
You hummed, lips twitching faintly. âHe wasnât that emo.â
âHe had stupid hair,â Sunghoon said flatly. âAnd he smelled like cigarettes and insecurity.â
You bit your lip to stop yourself from smiling.
âHe called The Wind Rises boring,â you muttered.
Sunghoon gasped, mock horror in his voice. âCriminal. Unforgivable.â
He gently brushed the last of your hair over your shoulder, like a finishing touch. Then crouched in front of you, eye-level now.
And when he spoke next, the teasing was gone.
âYou are the actual sun,â he said softly. âAnd he made you feel like a flickering lightbulb. Thatâs not love. Thatâs dimming someone just to feel taller.â
Your eyes stung, just a little.
Sunghoon didnât flinch. He never did, when it came to you.
âI hated him from the beginning. Jake started calling him âthe ashtrayâ after the second time we all hung out. Not even behind his back. Just⌠said it.â
That made you laughâtruly laughâfor the first time in days. You shook your head. âYou two are mean.â
âWeâre honest,â Sunghoon corrected, getting to his feet. âAnd we love you. More than that guy ever could.â
You didnât answer. Just looked at him.
And he didnât say anything more.
Didnât need to.
You let your head fall back against the headboard and sighed. âOkay. If you keep monologuing in my ear like this, Iâm never gonna change.â
âChange?â
âYou want me to go to this stupid frat party, donât you?â
He smirked.
âGet out,â you said, pointing at the door. âShoo. Go do your weird little victory dance with Jake.â
He walked backward, ruffling your hair on the way like a proud big brother. âSheâs back,â he sing-songed, a grin tugging at his lips.
âNot if you keep talking.â
He opened the door with a dramatic bow. âIâll tell Jake you caved.â
You rolled your eyes, but your smile lingered even after he was gone.
And yeah, your heart was still cracked.
But it felt a little less sharp now.
A little easier to carry.
And when you looked at your reflection in the mirror, your hair brushed smooth, cheeks still warm from laughterâ
You didnât look like a girl trying to forget.
You looked like someone learning how to feel light again.
â
As soon as Jake stepped through the door, he barely made it three steps before he was swallowed by chaos.
âJAKE! JAKE! JAKE!â
A rush of frat boys and soccer teammates surged toward him, loud and reckless, lifting him up like some war hero. His legs kicked midair as they carried him toward the heart of the party, chanting his name with increasing volume.
âJAKE! JAKE! MVP! MVP!â
Fairy lights spun above him, casting halos over sweat-damp foreheads. The bass pulsed through the floor, the air thick with beer and adrenaline and championship glory. Jake laughed, a little breathless, a little panicked.
âNoâno, Iâm good, I swearââ
Then⌠you saw him. Your ex. And her.
They were near the kitchenâyour spot. The one you always waited at after his gigs. The one where he used to pull you into those tired, post-show hugs and whisper how glad he was you came. Now? He was there with her. Arm thrown over her shoulder like it belonged there. Like it hadnât been around you last week. She was laughing like sheâd earned it. Like she hadnât been âjust a friendâ two seconds ago.
And the worst part? He looked fine. Smiling. Relaxed. Comfortable.
You werenât sad. You didnât miss him. But god, you were angry.
He moved on like you were an old t-shirt. Like you didnât matter. Like he hadnât just made you feel like you were the problem for weeks on end. Like he hadnât convinced you to shrink for himâand then left anyway.
You stood there for one second. Just long enough to feel the burn in your chest. Long enough for your hands to curl into fists at your sides. Long enough for the blood in your veins to scream Really? Already?
Then you turned.
Fast.
Didnât look back.
You didnât know where you were going, only that the party felt too loud and too quiet all at once. People brushing past you, drinks in the air, music thumping. And still, all you could hear was your own pulse.
âSHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!â
You blinkedâand somehow, it was your voice leading the chant.
Your heels dug into the floor. Your lip gloss was smudged. There was probably mascara under your eyes. You didnât care. You didnât want to care.
Someone handed you a shot. You didnât ask what it was. You downed it like medicine.
It burned. But that was the point.
You slammed the glass down on the nearest surface. âANOTHER!â you shouted, voice cracking, spinning in place. âLetâs go! If Iâm gonna be replaced, I might as well be unforgettable!â
Someone whooped. Someone clapped. Someone handed you another.
You tossed it back.
You werenât spiraling. You were burning.
And the only thing worse than being dumped⌠Was being replaced this fast. Like you didnât even leave a dent.
You were angry.
Angry that he got to be fine. Angry that she got to stand where you used to. Angry that your hands still shook while his were busy holding someone else.
And yeah, youâd moved on too. You didnât want him back. Not for a second.
But it still felt like something had been stolen from you.
And you needed control. Any kind.
So when someone handed you another shot, you took it. And when someone said, âYou okay?â you laughed so hard it echoed. Loud, sharp, cracked.
âNever better,â you said, the words tilting sideways like your balance.
And then he stumbled toward you.
Tall. Drunk. Slurring your name like he knew you. Like he mattered.
âHey,â he grinned, âyouâre the girl Jake never shuts up about, right?â
You blinked. âWhat?â
âYeah,â he said, swaying. âIn the locker room. Heâs always like âsheâs so funny, she does this scrunchy angry face when sheâs mad,â and like⌠heâs totally into you.â
Your stomach twistedâbut your face didnât budge.
âCool,â you muttered. âLove being a conversation topic.â
âHe thinks youâre amazing,â the guy said, nodding like he just solved world peace. âHeyâhave you ever considered going bald?â
You stared. âExcuse me?â
He squinted. âI bet youâd look hot with a buzzcut. You have a strong jaw. Thatâs what matters, right?â
And maybe it was the alcohol. Or the smoke in the air. Or the ache in your ribs.
But you laughed. Loud. Too loud. And you grabbed his wrist.
âGot scissors?â you asked.
He blinked. âUh. Yeah?â
âBring them. Letâs find out.â
He stumbled into the kitchen drawer and came back, holding up a dull pair of kitchen scissors like a prize.
You snatched them, raised them in the air. âThank you, brave soldier,â you said dramatically. âNow go lay down before you die of alcohol poisoning.â
And you turned, marching up the stairs like a woman with a mission and a pair of scissors she had no business holding.
Jake was mid-conversation when Jungwon ran up, breathless.
âDude. DUDE. Your girlâshe just went upstairs. With scissors. Talking about rebirth.â
Jake blinked. âWhat?â
âShe said something about French bangs and reinvention and then took the stairs like a goddamn hurricane.â
Jake didnât even think.
He ran.
Bolted through the crowd, shouldered past two people doing body shots, and took the stairs two at a time.
Because he knew you.
He knew that look. That chaos. That split-second decision to feel anything other than the helpless, boiling anger clawing through your chest.
He remembered it from middle school, when someone said your braces made you look like a robot and you tried to cut them out yourself with nail clippers. He remembered it last year, when your cat died and you bleached your bangs at 3AM.
Jake had always known your brand of chaos.
And he had always shown up before it got too far.
Now, he shoved open the bathroom door with zero hesitation.
âDonâtââ
The words died in his throat.
Because there you were.
Standing in the middle of someone elseâs bathroom, scissors in hand, eyes glassy and smile way too proud.
âJakey!â you beamed. âI did it!â
He froze.
There was a pile of hair on the counter. Your bangsâif you could call them thatâsat uneven across your forehead. One was short. The other⌠shorter.
One eye was half covered. The other? Wide, glassy, wild.
Jake covered his mouth with both hands.
âPrincess,â he whispered.
âDo I look like Tyra Banks?â you asked earnestly.
Jake blinked. Took a step forward. Then another.
And slowlyâso gentlyâtook the scissors from your hand.
His voice dropped to a hush. Steady. Calm. Familiar.
âHey,â he said. âLetâs put these down, yeah?â
You pouted. âBut I wasnât done.â
He gave you a small smile. âYou were perfect before you even started.â
Your lips parted.
His eyes searched yours, scanning every flicker of emotion you were trying to bury beneath alcohol and eyeliner and rebellion.
âYou donât need to do this,â he said. âYouâre angry. I get it. I swear I get it. But cutting your bangs at a frat party is not justice.â
You blinked. The world tilted slightly.
âHe moved on,â you whispered. âLike I was nothing. Like I was just a placeholder.â
Jakeâs jaw tightened. His grip on the scissors hardened.
âYou were never a placeholder,â he said, voice sharper now. âYou were the whole damn story. He was just a footnote.â
Your eyes welled, but no tears fell. Not yet.
âYouâre angry. And you have every right to be,â he said, stepping closer, his hand brushing your cheek. âBut donât punish yourself because he couldnât see your worth.â
Your lip trembled.
âYou think Iâm punishing myself?â you asked.
Jake smiled softly. âPrincess, look at your bangs.â
You let out a snort. A real one. Ugly and sharp and full of sudden breath.
âI look like an art student who lost a bet.â
Jake laughed. âYou look like you could start a girl gang and lead a revolution.â
His voice dropped again. Gentle. Unshakable.
âBut you still look like you. And you look perfect.â
You didnât know what possessed you, but your fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt. Like holding onto something solid in the middle of a storm.
Jake leaned down, resting his forehead against yours.
âYou donât have to set yourself on fire to prove you're still burning,â he whispered. âYouâre enough. Even when youâre mad. Even when you're messy. Even with gravity-defying bangs.â
Your breath hitched. The room stilled.
And finally, finally, your heart began to slow.
You closed your eyes.
And Jake just held you there.
Right in the middle of the chaos, in someone else's bathroom, with scissors on the counter and party noise belowâ
He held you like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Like heâd always been the one who would.
â
The next morning came quicker than you wanted. Your head throbbed, your mouth tasted like the inside of a frat house, and your body ached in weird places. But none of that mattered.
Because the second you looked in the mirrorâ âAAAAAAAAAAAH!â
The scream tore through the apartment like a war siren.
Sunghoon shot upright in bed, blanket wrapped around his legs like a noose. âWHAT THEâ?!â
Jake fell off the couch with a dramatic thud, landing in a heap of hoodie and boxers. âSHEâS DYING, SHEâS BEING KIDNAPPED, THE LOVE OFââ
Both boys sprinted down the hallway like the apartment was on fire.
They crashed into your room, out of breath, expecting blood or a ghost or at least an explosion.
Instead, they found you standing in front of the mirror, gripping your bangs in both hands like you could physically undo last night.
âWHAT THE FUCK?!â you wailed, your voice cracking halfway into a sob. âWHY DIDNâT ANYONE STOP ME?!â
Jake froze.
Sunghoon stared.
âI told you we shouldâve hidden the mirror,â Sunghoon muttered.
âWe have a bathroom,â Jake hissed back.
You whirled around dramatically, face streaked with tears, eyes wide and watery, holding up a sad tuft of hair like it was a smoking gun.
âI ruined my life!â
Jake opened his mouth.
Closed it.
Because, truthfully?
Your hair looked like it had been through a war. A bad one. Like a rodent got stuck halfway through building a nest and gave up. It was uneven in four different directions. The bangs⌠bent at angles. You defied geometry. Possibly physics.
Sure, you looked pretty. Beautiful. Perfect, even.
But that was only because Jake was in love with you.
And love had a way of turning disaster into art. Even when the art looked like a sewer rat.
Sunghoon sighed and rubbed his face. âIâll make pancakes.â
He turned and walked out without waiting for a response. Pancakes were your householdâs official emergency protocol.
Jake stayed. Still in the doorway. Still barefoot and half-asleep, but trying really hard not to laugh and even harder not to love you more for looking like this and still somehow being the most you heâd ever seen.
You looked up at him with trembling lips, eyes full of absolute heartbreak.
âI look like I lost a fight with a Edward Scissorhands.â
Jake blinked. âCâmere.â
You didnât hesitate.
You launched yourself at him like a flying koala, knocking him flat on his back. You landed in a tangled heap of limbs and cotton and regret, curled into his chest, face shoved against his hoodie.
âIâM UGLY!â you wailed.
Jake didnât even flinch. He wrapped his arms around you, full-on bear-hug style, holding you like he was trying to glue your shattered pieces back together.
âNo, youâre not,â he murmured.
You let out a sound that was half sob, half snort, and buried your face deeper into his chest.
âYouâre not ugly,â he said again, voice quieter now. âYouâre the cutest person Iâve ever seen with a ratâs nest on their forehead.â
You groaned. âI look like Coconut Head from Nedâs Declassified.â
Jake snorted. Actually snorted.
Which made you groan even louder and smack his chest half-heartedly.
âIâm never going outside again,â you mumbled.
âYou donât have to,â he said. âWeâll start a new civilization here. No mirrors. Unlimited pancakes. Sunghoon and I will scavenge for food outside, bring it back here to feed you and our rat children.â
You sniffed.
âIâll knit you a beanie,â he added. âItâll say âemotional damageâ in rhinestones.â
From the kitchen, Sunghoon shouted, âThereâs only enough chocolate chips for one stack, so Iâm taking nominations for whoâs had the most public breakdowns in the past 24 hours.â
âI CUT MY OWN BANGS AT A FRAT PARTY!â you yelled into Jakeâs hoodie.
âAnd we have our winner!â Sunghoon replied.
Jake chuckled beneath you, brushing a strand of hair gently out of your eyesâor at least tried to. One strand was⌠vertical.
You blinked up at him. âI want them gone.â
Jake smoothed his hand through the top of your hair. âLet me try to fix them?â
You squinted. âCan you?â
âNo,â he admitted. âBut if I mess it up, youâll get to yell at me instead of yourself.â
You stared at him.
He gave you that stupid little grinâwarm, patient, already yours.
You sighed. âDeal.â
Jake grinned wider, brushing his knuckles against your cheek. âOkay. Let me grab scissors, YouTube, and a whole lot ofâŚuhâŚprayer.â
You smiled, soft and reluctant. But real.
Because even with tragic bangs, a hangover, and your dignity in shamblesâ
Jake made it all feel survivable.
Maybe even a little bit okay.
You were still in Jakeâs lap, curled up like a broken barbie from a 6 year old with plastic scissors, when he sat up slowly, fingers brushing back your hair with more care than you thought anyone could ever use on someone so messily undone.
âAlright,â he murmured, barely above a whisper. âLetâs fix this ratâs nest.â
You sniffled, eyes puffy. âYou mean my hair?â
Jakeâs lips quirked. âSame thing.â
You narrowed your eyes. âSay one more dumb thing and Iâll cry again.â
He grinned and stood, effortlessly lifting you into his arms like it was the most natural thing in the world.
âJakeââ you squeaked, clinging to him. âWhat are you doing?!â
âYouâve clearly lost your decision-making privileges. Youâre emotionally unstable. And you keep sniffling like a baby bird,â he said matter-of-factly. âSo, Iâm airlifting you to your redemption arc.â
You buried your face into his hoodie. âYou smell like detergent and protectiveness.â
âYou smell like tequila and impulsive choices.â
He walked you into the bathroom and set you carefully onto the counter, warm hands steady at your waist as you adjusted your balance. The moment you were settled, he stepped between your knees without hesitation, reaching for the comb and scissors.
You blinked. Suddenly, the bathroom was a little too quiet. A little too warm. And Jake was a little too close.
âIâm gonna try to even these out,â he murmured, running his fingers gently through your bangs. âTry being the keyword.â
âI feel like this is where I die.â
âYou look like a girl on the brink of a villain origin story.â
âPerfect,â you muttered. âMake me look dangerous.â\
As you sat still on the bathroom counter, knees lightly brushing his chest. Jake picked up the scissors again, his brows drawn tight in concentration.
He was taking it seriously. Too seriously. His tongue peeked out just slightly as he combed a section of your hair, eyes sharp, focused like he was performing life-saving surgery instead of fixing your tequila-fueled haircut.
You smiledâcouldnât help it. Because how was he still so cute, even now? Even while fixing the disaster you made of your bangs, looking like an overworked stylist with something to prove.
He tilted his head, snipped gently. Paused. Tilted again.
âStop smiling,â he muttered, eyes still fixed on your hair.
âIâm not,â you said, definitely smiling.
âI can feel it.â
You laughed softly. âYouâre just cute when youâre stressed.â
That made his hands falter. Just a little.
But he didnât say anything. Just cleared his throat and kept going, slower nowâmore careful. Like he was stalling. Or maybe... savoring.
Jake leaned in just a little, brow furrowed in quiet concentration. âHold still,â he said, voice barely above a whisper.
You blinked. âWhatââ
âThereâs a bit of hair on your face,â he murmured.
His hand came up gently, fingers brushing the side of your cheek as he tried to sweep away the tiny, stubborn strand that had clung to your skin. You froze.
Because Jakeâwithout even thinkingâtilted your chin up with one hand, and with the other, he gently tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. His touch lingered against your jaw, fingers grazing your cheek, and then staying there.
You froze.
Jake didnât move either.
His hand remained cupped on your face. His thumb brushed your skin. And his eyesâGod, his eyes were locked on yours like they were holding something he hadnât meant to let show.
You could feel the shift in the air. Heavy. Quiet. Like the entire world was holding its breath, waiting.
His gaze flicked to your lips. Just for a second.
And then it flicked back.
But it was enough.
Your heart stuttered. Your knees curled inward, brushing his hips. He leaned inâslowly, almost unconsciously. You could feel his breath now. Feel the tension between you, burning like something fragile and explosive all at once.
You didnât move.
Neither did he.
It was so close. One more inch. Half an inch. Less than that.
You could see the way his lashes fluttered when he blinked. The way his jaw clenched like he was holding something back.
His forehead almost touched yours.
And just when you thought he might do itâjust when your lips parted like they were waitingâ
âGET YOUR DAMN PANCAKES!â Sunghoonâs voice echoed through the apartment like an accidental earthquake.
You jolted.
Jake stepped back too fast, hands dropping like theyâd been burned.
You blinked hard, your pulse pounding.
âRight,â you said, hopping off the counter like it wasnât shaking beneath you. âBreakfast.â
âLetâs go,â Jake said, voice too casual, too quick.
Neither of you looked at each other as you walked out of the bathroom.
But your fingers were still tingling.
And Jakeâs heart was still lodged somewhere in his throat.â
The three of you were seated around the kitchen table. You sat across from Jake. The air smelled like sugar, butter, and unbearable tension.
Normally by now, you and Jake wouldâve been locked in a battle of sarcastic wits, tag-teaming insults about Sunghoonâs tragic playlists or the sociopathic way he peeled his oranges.
But this morning?
Silence.
Sunghoon was the only one talking.
And he noticed.
ââŚSo I told her, yes, I do moisturize, actually, and no, you canât just borrow my $60 toner like itâs a sample at Sephora,â he said, pausing only to cut a triangle of pancake. âAnyway. These are the fluffiest pancakes Iâve ever made. Probably because I put love into them and not repressed rage, for once.â
You nodded absently. Jake let out a weird little hum like he was underwater.
Sunghoon squinted at you both.
He continued, tone flattening: âAlso, Iâm quitting college to become a juice bar cult leader. Iâll sell turmeric shots and emotional detachment.â
Sunghoon blinked slowly.
ââŚHello?â
Silence.
He dropped his fork dramatically. âOkay. What is going on?!â
You and Jake looked up at the same time, startled like toddlers caught stealing cookies.
âYouâre both being weird,â Sunghoon said, stabbing his fork in the air like a courtroom prosecutor. âArenât you usually bickering by now? Or pelting me with toast? Or roasting my skincare routine?â
You blinked. âNothingâs wrong.â
Jake coughed. âTotally fine.â
âYouâre not fine,â Sunghoon snapped. âYouâre sitting there like someone died. Did the bang trauma finally kill your friendship? Was it the haircut? Did a ghost tell you to never speak again?â
Sunghoon turned to Jake. âAnd you. You havenât insulted me once. Not even when I said I wanted to start a juice cult.â
Jake shoved pancake in his mouth. âI support your passions.â
Sunghoon froze.
âOh my god,â he whispered. âWho are you two?!â
You and Jake exchanged a glance.
Sunghoonâs jaw dropped. âNo. No. Noââ
âWhat?â you said too quickly.
Jake sipped his coffee like it was spiked with sedatives.
Sunghoon pointed at both of you. âSomething happened. I donât know what. But if this is about some repressed âwe accidentally almost kissed while trimming tragic bangsâ situation, I swear to god I will scream.â
You choked on your juice.
Jake muttered, âNânothing happened.â
Sunghoon leaned back, crossing his arms like a dad about to issue consequences.
âRight,â he said. âAnd Iâm emotionally stable.â
He stood suddenly and grabbed his coat off the hook by the door.
You looked up. âWhere are you going?â
Jake jolted upright. âWaitâwait. What? Where ya goinâ, man?â His voice cracked slightly.
Sunghoon didnât even blink. âOut.â
Jake laughed nervously. âNooo, donât go. Weâre having a good time. Bonding. Pancakes. Healing.â
âYeah,â you said with a smile that definitely wasnât panicked. âStay. We can watch something. I wonât even make fun of you for picking a romcom from the 60s.â
Sunghoon narrowed his eyes.
ââŚYou two are being so weird right now.â
Jake blinked. âWhat? No.â
âTotally normal,â you said simultaneously.
The tension between you and Jake buzzed like a power line. Sunghoon stared. You and Jake sat a full cushion apart on the couch, but somehow it felt like you were breathing the same air.
After a pause, Sunghoon grabbed the doorknob.
âIâm gonna get some more eggs, we ran out of them.â he muttered, and slammed the door behind him.
Silence.
One beat.
Two.
Then you and Jake both shot up and retreated to your rooms at the exact same time, slamming your doors like a choreographed sitcom exit.
You paced around your room.
Back and forth. Arms crossed. Hair bouncing (the parts you hadnât murdered). You could still feel the ghost of Jakeâs hand on your jaw.
Yes. Okay. Sure. You almost kissed him in the bathroom. But letâs review.
You were vulnerable.
You just got dumped.
Your bangs looked like they were cut by a raccoon with ADHD.
It meant nothing.
âŚRight?
You stopped and groaned into your hands. âIt was the vulnerability. I was emotionally compromised and Jakeâs dumb face got too close.â
You paused.
ââŚJakeâs dumb, pretty faceâŚâ
â
Late in the afternoon, you wandered into the kitchen with a bowl of greens and the vague desire to do something normal. Something quiet. Something safe. Your fingers moved on autopilot as you chopped vegetablesâlettuce, tomatoes, cucumbersâsomething about the rhythm calming the noise in your head.
Until you heard it.
The shuffle of feet down the hallway. That familiar cadence. Soft, unhurried. Jake Sim.
You paused mid-slice.
Jake walked in a second later, completely unaware you were already thereâramen in one hand, phone in the other, texting with his usual boyish ease. The hoodie he wore was slightly rumpled. His hair still damp from a shower. He looked so effortlessly himself it made your chest ache.
He looked up.
And froze.
Your eyes met for one long, breathless second. Too long. Too much.
Then he spun around so fast he nearly dropped the ramen.
He stood in the doorway, awkwardly half-turned, clearly debating whether bolting would make things better or worse. The silence was loud.
After a beat, he cleared his throat and forced himself to turn back.
âCool,â he said, voice pitched an octave too high. âGreat. Dinner.â
He grabbed a pot from the cabinet like it was a lifeline. Filled it at the sink with determined focus, pretending not to glance at you from the corner of his eye.
You turned back to your chopping. Tried to focus.
But the air in the kitchen had shiftedâthicker now. Heavier. Like all that nearly-spilled affection from the bathroom was still clinging to your sleeves.
You could feel him next to you. Could sense every inch of space he left between you. Could feel every inch he didnât.
Then you both reached for the stove.
At the same time.
Your fingers brushed.
You both flinched.
âSorryââ you mumbled.
âNoâyouâuhâgo aheadââ he said quickly.
It shouldâve been fine. It was a stove. It was cooking.
But it wasnât.
Now you were standing shoulder to shoulder, the side of his arm barely grazing yours every few seconds, and it was like touching static. Every brush sent sparks to your spine.
His noodles boiled. Your chicken sizzled.
And still, neither of you moved.
Jake kept stealing glancesâtiny, fleeting ones, like he couldnât help it. Like he needed to make sure you were real. You werenât looking at him, but you felt him looking. You felt it like a pulse.
Your heart wouldnât stop tripping over itself.
This is nothing, you told yourself. Itâs proximity. Itâs leftover tension. Youâre vulnerable, fresh off a breakup. Youâre notâ
You reached for the pan.
Too close.
Your fingers hit the hot edge. Hard.
âShitâow!â you gasped, jerking your hand back.
Jake turned like heâd been shot.
âWhat happened?!â His voice was sharp with panic as he lunged toward you. âAre you okay?!â
âI justâI touched theââ Your words tumbled over each other as you blinked at your hand, already stinging and red, the skin rising into a welt.
Jake didnât hesitate.
He grabbed your wrist with both handsâgentle but urgentâand rushed you to the sink, flipping the faucet with his elbow. The cold water hit the burn and made you wince.
But you barely felt it.
Because all you could feel was Jakeâs hands wrapped around yours. His thumb against your pulse. His breath too close. His panic louder than yours.
âYou okay?â he asked again, eyes never leaving the burn. âCan you feel this? Are you dizzy? Why arenât you saying anythingâwhy are youââ
He stopped.
Because you were smiling.
Barely. Just the smallest curl at the corners of your mouth.
But it was there.
And so was he. Right there in front of you, looking like he was breaking apart from how badly he wanted to keep you safe. Like your pain physically hurt him.
No one had ever looked at you like that before.
And suddenly, everything shifted.
Because in that momentâburning finger, cold water, trembling handsâyou knew.
You were falling for Jake.
And maybe you had been for a while.
The realization made your chest tighten. Made your throat close. You looked at him and your heart skipped like it knew this moment mattered.
Jake helped you sit on the counter, still holding your hand like it might disappear. He moved carefullyâso carefullyâas he opened the first aid kit, his lips pressed together in a worried line.
He dabbed ointment on the burn with a lightness that made your chest ache. His brows furrowed as he wrapped the bandage, his thumb stroking the back of your hand like a whisper.
âYou never pay attention,â he muttered, voice tight with concern. âAlways spacing out. Always in your head. Itâs like you want me to have a heart attack.â
âYou make me worry so much itâs insane,â he whispered. Like he hadnât meant to say it. Like it spilled out before he could catch it.
You didnât say anything. Couldnât. Not when your pulse was roaring in your ears and his touch made you feel like you might float out of your body.
Then you heard itâquiet, almost to himself.
âGod, youâre the only person in the world who makes me feel like this.â
âLike what?â You mumbled.
âLike Iâm going fucking insane.â
Jakeâs eyes widened a second too late. Like heâd only just realized he said it out loud.
You stared at him.
ââŚSay that again,â you whispered.
âI didnâtââ he started, panicking. âI didnât meanââ
You slid off the counter slowly. Your hand still throbbedâbut your heart was louder. Too loud.
You looked at him. And in his eyes, you saw everything.
The longing. The panic. The thousand things he wasnât saying.
And thenâ
âIf youâre gonna keep having slow-burn movie moments in the kitchen, at least donât do it in the kitchen.â
You both jumped.
Sunghoon stood in the doorway, a grocery bag in one hand and a carton of eggs in the other. His eyebrows were already in judgmental orbit.
Jake stammered, âWe werenâtâ!â
âYou were,â Sunghoon said, breezing past. âYou were doing the eye thing.â
âWhat eye thing?â you asked, flustered.
âThe longing one. With the breathing and the tragic backlighting. The tragic yearning...itâs disgusting.â
â
The BBQ joint was already full when you walked inâheat rising from tabletop grills, laughter spilling over like steam, the air thick with the smell of sizzling meat and farewell speeches. You stood at the entrance for a second, bag slung over your shoulder, your heart thudding a little faster than necessary.
You werenât even sure why youâd come.
Sunghoon had bailed last minute, claiming a âgroup project emergency,â and you couldâve easily ghosted too. But something had pulled you hereâmaybe the closure, maybe the company, maybe the quiet, ridiculous hope that things might feel normal again. That you might feel normal again.
Your eyes swept the room, searching for a familiar face.
And there he was.
Jake, halfway across the restaurant, hunched slightly in his chair as he laughed at something someone said. His hair was a little messy like heâd run his hands through it too many times. His denim jacket hung on the back of his chair, sleeves rolled up as he reached for the grill tongs, utterly unaware that heâd just knocked the breath out of you.
You took a step forward. Small. Tentative. A part of you hopingâachingâthat maybe heâd seen you already. He saved you a seat.
But then you froze.
Because a girl slid into the chair beside him.
She was pretty. Confident. One of those girls who didnât need to try to draw attention. She leaned in with ease, like they already knew each other. She laughed, tossed her hair, said something that made Jake glance over and smileâpolite, soft.
Not your smile.
Your feet stayed planted. Your throat tightened, jealousy wrapping around your chest like a rope. You didnât want to feel it. You didnât even know what it meant. But there it was.
That empty chair had never not been yours before.
And now, suddenly, it wasnât.
You blinked hard and turned on your heel, moving so fast it felt like fleeing. You didnât care where you satâanywhere but there. Anywhere but near him and her.
Jay looked up from his grill station just in time to see you drop into the seat next to him with the force of someone trying to bury a feeling. His eyebrows lifted, chopsticks paused mid-turn.
âWoah,â he said, startled. âDramatic entrance. Everything okay?â
You forced a smile that didnât quite make it past your cheeks. âPeachy.â
Jay looked unconvinced.
You stared hard at the sizzling grill in front of you. The sound of meat crackling felt louder than the conversations around you. Too loud. Too sharp. But not sharp enough to cut through the coil of emotion in your chest.
From the corner of your eye, you saw Jake glance your way. Brief, unsure. You didnât look back.
Instead, you reached for a piece of lettuce like it wronged you in a past life and stabbed your chopsticks through it.
Jay watched you for a moment, then cautiously leaned in. âSooo... wanna tell me why you look like youâre about to wrestle that cabbage?â
You didnât answer.
Because on the other side of the table, Jake was laughing again. Soft. Casual. Like nothing had changed. Like he hadnât been on the verge of kissing you in a bathroom two weeks ago. Like he didnât used to look at you first when he walked into a room.
But today, he didnât.
He looked at her.
Something sharp twisted in your gut. Something bitter.
Jealousy, maybe. Or disappointment.
Not that he was talking to someone else.
But that he let her sit there. That he gave away your spot like it never mattered.
Your jaw clenched. You shoved the lettuce into your mouth like it was responsible for your emotional spiral.
Jay winced in sympathy. âSo⌠no comment?â
âNone.â
âCool, cool. Iâll just assume youâre possessed and move on.â
He turned back to the grill, wisely choosing not to push further. You didnât notice, but your shoulders stayed tense. You didnât speak. You didnât breathe right. Your fingers picked apart a piece of grilled pork until it was unrecognizable.
Across the table, Jungwon raised his voice.
âHey! Letâs talk about the classâs power couple!â
You looked up mid-chew. Wrong move.
âJake and her, obviously!â he said, pointing at you both with a grin like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
You nearly choked on your lettuce. âYang Jungwon, I will throw this piece of meat in your face if you donâtââ
Jay coughed into his drink. âHere we go.â
Jungwon beamed. âWhat? Youâre always together. Itâs, like, a known thing.â
Someone else piped in. âItâs true. Jakeâs always doing the sweetest things for her. Didnât he bring you bubble tea for a whole week when you got your wisdom teeth out?âÂ
âAnd didnât he carry your whole bag once when your wrist hurt?âÂ
âAnd hold your umbrella even though he was getting soaked?â Everyone at the table nodded, laughing. Agreeing. Smiling at you like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
You flushed.
Jake stayed quiet.
Still across the table.
Still next to her.
And still not looking at you.
The realization hit slow and hardâlike a wave youâd tried to outrun finally catching your heels.
Everyone saw it.
Everyone had always seen it.
Except you.
Until now.
Your throat felt dry. Your chest felt hollow. And your skewer? Obliterated. You stabbed through the last piece of beef with more aggression than necessary.
Jay leaned over and whispered, âYouâre gonna set off the smoke alarm if you keep grilling that poor meat.â
You didnât respond.
Because the chair he used to save for you wasnât yours anymore.
And for the first timeâyou realized how much that seat had mattered.
You didnât even realize how tightly your hands were gripping your chopsticks until your knuckles turned white. Your jaw ached from how long youâd been clenching it. Everyone at the table laughed at something you didnât hear, and it felt like you were underwaterâsound muffled, air thick, eyes locked on your untouched plate.
You hadnât meant to care so much.
It was just a chair.
Just a seat at a dinner party.
But it was your seat. The one he always saved without asking. The one he used to pat with a grin like, "Reserved for royalty." The one where your jacket used to end up without thinking, your chopsticks already unwrapped by the time you sat down.
So seeing someone else sitting thereâsmiling like she belonged thereâfelt like stepping into a memory and realizing it didnât remember you back.
It shouldnât have mattered.
You werenât together. Not really. Not even close.
But god, that seat had never been up for grabs before.
You slid into the open spot across the table like it didnât burn, even though every movement felt like betrayal. Like you were betraying yourself by still hoping for something you couldnât even name.
And then, he tapped your shoulder.
You stiffened immediately, already knowing it was him.
Jake.
The very air changed when he was around. Lighter, tighter, like it had more weight and less oxygen at the same time.
âHey,â he said, voice easy. Too easy.
You didnât look at him.
Tap.
âPrincess.â
You froze.
Your throat tightened.
Because Princess used to be the softest thing in the world. A tease. A comfort. A reminder that he knew you, saw you, adored you in all the quiet ways he never said aloud.
But now?
It felt⌠different. Tainted.
It didnât land the same when your chair was already taken. When heâd let someone else into the only space you thought was sacred.
So you didnât turn.
Didnât smile.
Didnât soften.
He hesitatedâlike he felt the shift, too.
âHmph,â you crossed your arms like a child.
Jakeâs voice dropped, lower this time. âWhy are you mad at me?â
You still didnât answer.
He let out a slow breath and walked around the table instead, crouching beside your chair like a boy trying to pick up something broken.
Your gaze stayed glued to your half-torn napkin.
âIs it⌠about the seat?â he asked, voice gentler now. Like maybe he already knew the answer. Like he knew exactly what that seat meant.
Your silence answered for you.
Jake swallowed hard.
âI wasnât thinking,â he murmured. âShe sat down before I even before I realized you were coming. I swear, I wasnât trying toââ
âTo what?â you cut in, quiet but sharp. âReplace me?â
Jake flinched.
You regretted it instantly. But not enough to take it back.
Because that seatâthat tiny, stupid thingâmeant something. And tonight, he let someone else take it like it didnât.
âIâm sorry,â he said, voice cracking just a little. âI shouldâve waited for you. I shouldâve saved it.â
Your hands tightened in your lap. âForget it.â
âPrincess,â he said again, softer now. Pleading. Like maybe if he said it right, it would mean the same thing it used to.
But it didnât.
Not tonight.
You looked up, finally meeting his eyes.
And he looked wrecked. Not in the dramatic, cinematic way. Just quietly ruined. Like he hadnât realized how deep this cut would go. Like he was only just now understanding what heâd done.
You turned away before it could get worse.
Before your face could say too much.
Jake didnât move.
Didnât say another word.
Just sat there beside you like he wouldâve done anything to rewind the night and start over.
But some things you couldnât undo.
You were chewing in silence, half your brain stuck in a loop of spiraling thoughts and the other half⌠fully aware of Jake beside you. The way he kept glancing at you every few seconds. The way his leg bounced under the table like he had something to say but didnât know how to say it.
You shifted in your seat.
He didnât look at you, but he nudged your knee gently with his.
Then came his voiceâsoft, tentative, like he was knocking on a door he wasnât sure he was allowed to open.
âI still owe you a prize.â
Your head turned.
Jake was already half smiling. That crooked, boyish smile that always cracked something open in your chest.
You blinked. ââŚWhat?â
âHow many fingers am I holding up?â
ââŚTwo,â you whispered.
Jake turned, hand still hidden behind his backâand slowly revealed two fingers.
Your breath hitched. Just barely.
He smiled wider now, eyes lighting up like heâd been holding that hope in all night.
âCorrect,â he said gently. âWhich meansâŚâ
Jake stood up suddenly, brushing his hands on his jeans. âWait here.â
You blinked again. âWhat? Where are you goingâ?â
He was already walking off, dodging servers and plates of steaming food. He made a beeline toward the front of the restaurant where the owner stood at the counter, scribbling on receipts.
From your seat, you watched him gesture animatedly. He pointed to a pen. Then to a napkin. The owner blinked, clearly confused, but handed him a small notepad and a black pen.
You watched Jake furrow his brows, crouching at a little side table and scribbling furiously, tongue poking out slightly as he focused. His shoulders hunched like he was working on something important.Â
He returned a minute later, cheeks flushed with effort, pen still tucked behind his ear like an afterthought.
Without saying a word, he slid the paper toward you.
âYour prize,â he said, not quite meeting your eyes.
You looked down.
It was a drawing.
A bad drawing.
Stick figures, crooked lines, and a questionable attempt at your haircutâshort, jagged bangs that stuck out at odd angles, cartoonishly captured in the most chaotic way possible. You almost laughed.
But then your eyes caught the words scribbled underneath:
âEven with that haircut, youâre still the prettiest girl in the world.â
Your breath hitched.
You looked up.
Jake was pretending to sip water, very invested in the contents of his cup.
Your fingers tightened around the edges of the paper.
ââŚYouâre such an idiot,â you whispered.
His gaze finally flicked to yours.
And even in the low lighting of the restaurant, you saw it.
The softness.
The hope.
The fear.
Like he didnât know how youâd take itâbut he meant every word anyway.
Your throat was suddenly too tight.Â
You didnât say anything else.
You didnât have to.
Because you were still holding the drawing.Â
â
You slipped your bag over your shoulder, the strap digging slightly into your coat as you muttered a quick goodbye to Jay and Jungwon. They teased you on the way outâof course they did.
The air outside hit your face like a wall. Sharp. Cold. Honest.
You exhaled, breath clouding in the dark. The city lights blurred into little golden halos around you as you wrapped your scarf with clumsy fingers, your hands still shaky from the night. From everything.
And thenâ
âWaitâhey!â
You turned.
Jake.
He was jogging after you, his jacket flapping open behind him, cheeks flushed red from the heat inside meeting the cold outside. His hair was a little windblown. His eyes found yours like they always didâeasily, like home.
You blinked, lips parting. âWhat are youââ
âWhy didnât you tell me you were leaving?â he asked, breath puffing in the cold. He slowed beside you, steps syncing with yours before you even answered.
You paused, your fingers still tangled in your scarf.
ââŚWerenât you still talking to her?â you asked softly. Softer than you meant to. Your voice barely carried.
The silence stretched between you.
Then, wordlessly, Jake reached for your scarf.
You froze.
âHere,â he murmured, fingers brushing yours. âYou always do it too tight.â
He didnât wait for permission. His hands moved gently, expertlyâunraveling the mess youâd twisted, smoothing the soft fabric like heâd done it a hundred times. Like muscle memory.
His knuckles grazed your jaw as he tucked the ends in.
You held your breath.
And when you finally looked up, he was already watching you.
You, wrapped in the coat he gave you. In the scarf heâd fixed. In the silence he hadnât tried to fill with anything other than quiet care.
âIâd rather be walking us home,â Jake said gently. Not a question. Not even a request.
And stillâyou let him.
The two of you walked slowly, the glow of streetlamps casting long shadows across the pavement.Â
Jake was rambling beside youâsomething about Jungwonâs tragic karaoke and lettuce on a grillâbut your mind was somewhere else entirely.
It was on him.
It was on every version of him.
On all the times he showed up when he didnât have to. On all the gentle, quiet ways he loved you without asking for anything back.
On the umbrella he always tilted toward you.
On the bubble teas and playlists and dumb printed emoji sheets.
It hit you so hard you physically stopped walking.
Jake didnât notice until he took two more steps and realized your footsteps had vanished.
ââand I swear, if he ever touches a mic againâwait, hey, you okay?â
He turned around.
You stood there, frozen in place, eyes wide and glassy like you were realizing something you couldnât un-realize.
Jakeâs face shifted instantly.
âW-Whatâs wrong?â he asked, stepping forward, concern flashing across his face. âDid I say something? Are youââ
You didnât answer.
You stepped forward and wrapped your arms around himâjust like that. No hesitation.
You pressed your cheek against his shoulder, arms looping around his back like you needed to hold something steady. Like he was the only thing steady enough to hold.
Jake stilled.
Completely.
And then his arms came around you.
Slow. Firm. Certain.
You felt his hand press gently into your back, the other cupping the back of your neck like he was trying to piece you back together with touch alone.
Your voice cracked when it came out.
âWhy didnât you tell me?â
His breath hitched. âTell you what?â
âThat youâve been in love with me.â
Silence.
Jake went still again. His hand flexed slightly against your back.
You pulled back just enough to see himâyour hands still clutching his coat, his eyes wide, mouth parted, heart in his throat.
âThat wouldâve made everything so much simpler,â you said, voice trembling. âMaybe I wouldnât have dated that idiot. Maybe I wouldâve chosen you. A long time ago.â
Jake looked stunned. His lips parted like he wanted to say somethingâbut you didnât let him.
âI thought you were just being nice,â you whispered. âI thought⌠you saw me, maybe, like a sister. I didnât knowâŚyouââ
His brows drew together. Something deep and aching passed across his face.
âIâm sorry,â you went on. âI shouldâve known. I shouldâve seen it. Youâve always been there. Always. And I never looked at you the way I shouldâve. Not until it was too late.â
Jake stared at you like youâd just knocked the air out of him.
And then.
He cupped your jaw with both hands.
Thumbs brushing the apples of your cheeks. Fingers resting gently, reverently, like you were porcelain. His eyes were locked on yours, searching. Burning.
And then he leaned in.
The kiss wasnât tentative.
It was everything heâd held in.
Years of friendship, of quiet pining, of every moment he almost let it slip and didnâtâit all spilled into that one kiss.
His lips found yours with a kind of desperate relief. Like coming home. Like breathing after drowning. Like maybe, finally, he didnât have to hold it back anymore.
Your hands curled into the front of his coat. You tilted up into him, breath catching as he deepened the kissâhis hands sliding into your hair, one curling at the nape of your neck, the other still cupping your jaw like he couldnât bear to let go.
His lips moved, with tenderness, with the kind of aching care that made your knees weak and your chest full to bursting.
When he finally pulled backâjust barelyâyou were both breathless.
Your noses brushed.
His hands didnât move.
He pressed his forehead to yours, eyes still closed, as if he couldnât look at you and survive it.
âYou didnât have to see it back then,â he whispered. âI loved you anyway. I always have.â
You closed your eyes.
And kissed him again.
Because you didnât need to say it yet.
You were already saying it in every breath.
And Jake?
Jake held you like heâd waited his whole life to because wellâŚhe did.
Because maybe you hadnât fallen first.
But you were falling harder now.
You barely made it halfway down the street before you stopped againâjust to kiss him.
It started soft.
His hand found your jaw, thumb brushing lightly beneath your cheekbone as your lips pressed to his, slow and testing, like you were still trying to figure out how this all worked now. How it was real. His nose brushed yours. Your fingers curled in the collar of his coat, tugging him just a little closer.
You took three steps.
Then stopped again.
This time his hands slipped lowerâone landing on your hip, the other skimming the small of your back as he leaned in again, mouth warm and insistent. His kiss deepened, lips parting against yours, breath catching in his throat as your fingers found the hair at the nape of his neck and tugged, just a little.
âJake,â you mumbled against his mouth, your nose nudging his cheek, âweâre literally in public.â
He didnât move away.
Just smiled against your lips. âNot my fault youâre addictive.â
You rolled your eyes.
And then kissed him again.
Longer. Slower. Your body pressed into his chest as his arm wrapped firmly around your waist. He tasted like cinnamon gum and the cold air between you. His teeth grazed your bottom lip before his lips found yours again, open and hungry now.
By the time you reached your building, the two of you were fully drunk on itâon each other.
He had you backed up gently against the brick wall by your door, your back hitting it with a soft thud. His hands braced either side of your head. Yours slid down his chest, fingers dragging across the buttons of his jacket before slipping underneath and fisting in his hoodie.
His forehead rested against yours, your noses brushing.
âI can't believe I get to do this now,â Jake whispered, breathless, lips still ghosting over yours. âLike this. With you.â
You smiled, whispering back against his mouth, âI shouldâve kissed you years ago.â
âYeah,â he murmured, his mouth dipping lower, kissing along your jaw before finding your lips again. âBut then I wouldnât have gotten to fall in love with you like this.â
Your arms curled around his neck. You were just about to pull him back in whenâ
âOH MY GOD. MY EYES!â
You both jerked away.
Jake turned first, one hand still protectively on your waist. You peeked around his shoulder, blinking through the haze of hormones and heat.
Sunghoon.
Standing frozen a few feet away, grocery bag in hand, jaw dropped so hard it couldâve cracked the sidewalk.
âSERIOUSLY?!â he shouted, voice breaking with disbelief. âMY ONE NIGHT OUT?! THIS IS WHAT I COME HOME TO? TONGUE WRESTLING? ON THE DOORSTEP?â
You immediately hid your face in Jakeâs shoulder, laughing so hard you nearly collapsed.
Jake just grinned. âYouâre just jealous youâre bitter, old, and single.â
âI LIVE HERE, YOU FERAL ANIMALS.â
You peeked up, cheeks burning, still giggling like a teenager. Jake reached for your hand, intertwining your fingers like heâd been doing it forever. His thumb traced slow circles on your skin.
Jake giggled, stepped in, slow and sure, until there was barely an inch between you. His hand let go of yours only to slide around your waist, pulling you in until your chest brushed his. His other hand found your jaw again, thumb grazing your cheekbone.
And then he kissed you. Again. Harder this time.
Behind you, Sunghoon made an actual gagging noise. âCUT IT OUT! This is why I prayed for your downfall, Jake.â
Jake just tugged you toward the elevator, still holding your hand.
â-
You barely made it into the apartment before Sunghoon yelled from his bedroom, voice muffled through the door:
âIâM NEVER WASHING YOUR LAUNDRY AGAIN.â
You and Jake burst into laughter, tripping over each other as you kicked off your shoes, still tangled in giggles and flushed skin and stolen kisses.
Jake followed you straight to your room, still holding your hand like it was his favorite thing in the world. His other hand? Firm on your waist. His mouth? Absolutely relentless.
The second the door clicked shut, he was on you againâhis lips warm and insistent against your cheek, your jaw, the corner of your mouth. He kissed you like he couldnât stop, like he didnât want to stop, like he was mapping every inch of you with his mouth.
You laughed breathlessly, leaning back against the wall as his hands framed your face and his mouth finally, finally met yours againâdeeper this time, slower but more demanding, like he was memorizing you.
âJakeââ you gasped between kisses, pulling back just enough to look him in the eyes, âwe have class at eight tomorrow.â
He didnât even blink. Just leaned back in and kissed you again, his thumb brushing along the underside of your jaw as he tilted your face up to him. âI donât care,â he whispered against your lips.
You barely had time to respond before his mouth crashed into yours again, open-mouthed, his hand sliding from your cheek down to your waist, gripping just tight enough to make your knees weak. Your fingers threaded into the collar of his shirt, tugging him closer as your back hit the door, and you swore you felt the room spin slightly.
When you finally broke apart, panting, your lips felt swollen, kissed raw. Your heart was racing.
âSo,â you murmured, dazed and breathless, âdoes this mean weâre⌠dating?â
Jake blinked, cheeks flushed, lips red. Then he grinned, cocky and breathless. âAre you asking me out?â
You rolled your eyes, still pinned between the wall and his body, smiling despite yourself. âItâs the least I could do, considering I didnât realize you were in love with me for, like, a decade.â
Jake laughedâa low, husky sound that made your stomach flip. He leaned in again, brushing your lips with his, soft and slow this time. âYou donât owe me a single thing,â he whispered, one hand still at your waist, the other stroking your cheek like you were something fragile.
Thenâjust like thatâhe kissed you again. Harder. Messier.
He angled your chin just right and slotted your mouths together in a way that made you exhale a broken sound against his lips. His tongue teased against yours, slow and devastating, and when you whimpered into the kiss, he tightened his grip on your waist like he couldnât help it.
It wasnât just kissing anymore. It was kissing like gravity didnât exist.
âGosh,â he murmured against your lips, breath ragged, âI canât stop. Youâre likeââ kiss ââa drug or something.â Kiss. âA really addictive one.â
You giggled mid-kiss, your hands sliding up into his hair. âYouâre insane.â
And then SLAM.
Your bedroom door flew open like a jump scare.
Jake jumped away from you like youâd just been caught stealing a national treasure.
Before either of you could process what was happening, Sunghoon stormed into the room, dragging Jake into a headlock mid-sentence.
âWHAT THEâ!â Jake shrieked.
You collapsed onto the wall, laughing so hard your knees buckled. Sunghoon grumbled something incoherent as he dragged a flailing Jake down the hallway like a sack of potatoes.
âIâm trying to sleep,â Sunghoon barked. âAnd instead I get moaning and giggling through my wall like Iâm living in a romcom directed by Satan.â
Jake was breathless. âI wasnât even going torââ
âYeah, yeah, pipe it, dumbass.â
Sunghoon slammed Jake down onto his bed and slammed the door behind him like it owed him peace.
You were still giggling in the hallway when Sunghoonâs door creaked open again. He stepped out looking 800 years tired, hoodie wrinkled and hair in chaos.
âAnd you!â
He pointed at you.
You stood straighter.
He stared. Then sighed.
ââŚSleep well,â he muttered.
But just as he turned away, he mumbled under his breath: âGod, youâre so happy itâs disgusting.â
And you were.
You were dizzy, breathless, borderline giddy.
Disgustingly happy.
And it felt perfect.
â
You laid in bed, the blanket tucked snugly beneath your chin, heart still racing from the absolute whirlwind that had been your night. Your lips were still tingling. Your cheeks ached from how much youâd smiled. Everything inside you buzzed, giddy and light, like you were a teenager with her first real crush.
Only this wasnât a crush.
This was Jake.
You giggled into your pillow, kicking your feet beneath the covers, limbs wriggling like your body had no idea how to contain this much happiness.
Thenâ
Ping.
Your phone lit up beside you.
Jake đ i miss u already hehe
You let out an actual squeal, smacking your pillow with both hands, grinning like a complete lunatic.
God.
Youâd never felt like this before. Not even with your ex. Not even close. This was warm. This was exciting. Safe. Stupid and lovely all at once.
This was Jake.
Still smiling, you typed back quickly, almost shy:
can u sneak back in?
You held your breath, eyes glued to the typing bubble.
But before it even disappearedâyou heard it.
The quiet creak of a door unlocking.
You bolted upright.
Heart stuttering, you threw off your blanket and padded toward your bedroom door, cracking it open just enough to peek into the hallway.
And there he was.
Jake.
In pajama pants and a hoodie, hair tousled and fluffy, tiptoeing across the hallway like some cartoon burglar. His socked feet made no sound, but his face was full of mischief, lit up with a secret smile like this was the best part of his whole night.
He looked up and spotted you, then quickly pressed a finger to his lips.
âShhh,â he whispered, a ridiculous grin tugging at his mouth.
You had to bite down on your knuckle to keep from laughing. He was impossible.
He reached your door in two quiet steps, gently pushing you backward into your room with both hands on your shoulders, like you were something delicate.
Just as he was about to step inâ
SLAM.
Sunghoonâs door burst open like he was a horror movie jump-scare.
Jake froze.
You froze.
Both of you turned slowly, like kids caught red-handed raiding the snack cabinet.
Sunghoon stood in his doorway, hair sticking out in ten different directions, hoodie slipping off one shoulder, expression one hundred percent done with everything.
Jake opened his mouth, already guilty. âWeââ
âGo. To. Sleep,â Sunghoon said flatly. His voice had the kind of force only a sleep-deprived man could deliver. âYou absolute rabbits.â
You immediately clamped a hand over your mouth to muffle your laughter as Jake stepped back like a scolded puppy, both hands in the air.
âOkay okay! Weâre sleeping!â he whisper-yelled as Sunghoon groaned, rubbed his temples, and slammed his door shut again.
The second it clicked closed, Jake leaned down toward your door and whispered with a grin:
âTomorrow night, Iâm climbing through your window.â
You giggled, heart racing again, and whispered back, âYou better.â
And he did.
He really did. But he also got caught by Sunghoon. Again.

âNo!â You cry out, throwing your body backwards on the white couch you sat on, dramatically slamming the PS5 controller down next to you in defeat. âYou guys teamed up on me and cheated! No fair.â
Laughter filled your ears around you, your friends and boyfriend finding your reaction hilarious.
You were at your best friend Mattâs house, along with his two brothers, your boyfriend, and a couple of other friends from high school. Nick had wanted to invite your guysâ old friend group over as it had been a while since you had all seen each other together, and so far you guys were having a blast. Youâd ordered a pizza, watched a cringey movie that came out while you guys were in high school, and now were playing Mario Kart, which was never really your strong suit.
âNobody ganged up on you, kid. You just suck,â Chris laughed from his spot next to you, bringing his phone up to take a picture of the big pout on your face.
âI hate this game,â you tell him, standing up from your spot between him and your boyfriend, getting up to go refill your red solo cup with soda. As you walk to the kitchen, you hear footsteps behind you, and youâve been friends with everyone here long enough to know whoâs creeping up behind you, so you turn around, pout still plastered on your face.
Matt laughs as soon as he makes eye contact with you, unable to hold it in. âCmon, donât be a sore loser,â he starts.
Your jaw drops at his comment in disbelief before you pick it up and giggle, dropping the facade. âIâm not being a sore loser,â you assure him with another laugh. âIâm thirsty and was also kind of wondering if there was any pizza left.â
Matt smiles at your change of attitude, happy youâre not actually upset with the outcome of the game, even though he would never mind trying to cheer you up. âI knew youâd want more, actually,â he moves around the table to open the fridge door. âSeemed like everyone was going crazy on the pizza so I grabbed a couple slices and put them aside for you.â
Your heart swells a bit as you walk around to join Matt by the fridge, smiling wide as he pulled out a tupperware container with a couple pieces of your favorite pizza. âAww,â you drawl. âYou know me so well, Matt. Thank you!â You take the container from him and set it on the counter before turning around and wrapping your arms around his neck, hugging him tightly.
He hugs you back with his arms around your waist for a moment before pulling away, patting your sides as he does so. âOf course, just heat it up real quick. Iâm gonna run to the bathroom,â he smiles at you, turning and walking away.
You smile to yourself as you pop the tupperware into the microwave, listening to the hum of the machine while you twiddle your fingers and wait for it to heat up. As it beeps, you feel a presence sneak up behind you, hands wrapping around your waist.
You spin around with a small grin, looking up at your boyfriend looming over you. âHi,â you say sweetly.
âHey,â he responds, kissing your forehead. âMore pizza?â His eyebrows furrow as he looks down at you.
âYeah,â you respond, breaking free from his grasp to grab your pizza out of the microwave. âMatt put a few slices aside for me because I always eat more later.â You take a bite out of one of the slices, humming in satisfaction, looking up at your boyfriend with a small smile.
He looks down at you with a smile that doesnât meet his eyes, watching you eat. âDidnât you have like four pieces earlier?â He questions, raising his eyebrows slightly.
You pause chewing for a moment, furrowing your eyebrows as you look at him. âHuh?â You say, slightly garbled by the food in your mouth. You take a moment and chew whatâs in your mouth, swallowing thickly before setting down your bowl, placing both hands on your hips. âAre you questioning how much Iâm eating or am I hearing things?â
He crosses his arms as the smile drops off of his face. âThatâs not what I mean,â he starts. âIâm just⌠saying you had a few pieces earlier and you just heated up like four more pieces, thatâs all.â
You guys have been friends for almost ten years now, however your relationship was relatively fresh, only about seven months in, and in those ten years that youâve known each other, youâve never been known to eat salads or small portions. Youâve always had a faster metabolism, and a more active life, so you werenât particularly worried about indulging in a few extra pieces of pizza during a night with some of your closest friends.
You tilt your head and narrow your eyes, arms coming up to cross over your chest. âIs this something youâd be comfortable saying in front of all of our friends?â
He scoffs and shakes his head, turning to walk away. âDonât make this something itâs not, babe. Just a question,â he says, heading back towards the couch where the rest of your friends are.
Youâre still standing there with your arms crossed, watching him sit down next to Chris, picking up a controller while he laughs about something somebody said, completely switching up his attitude like he wasnât just trying to patrol what you were eating and how much of it.
At that moment, Matt comes back, drying his hands on his grey sweatpants, making them a bit darker on the outsides of his thighs. âHowâs the pizza?â He asks with a smile, before he notices your demeanor and the pizza resting on the counter instead of in your hands. âEverything okay?â
You turn your attention to your friend, looking at him with a confused expression while you try to decipher the interaction that just happened between you and your boyfriend. âYeah,â you say, but it isnât a confident answer, and you sound almost confused. âCome on, letâs go sit back down,â you tell him, grabbing your bowl of reheated pizza before starting to walk back to the couch, flopping down on it aggressively, making sure everyone knew you were back.
Matt follows happily, sitting down next to you. You turn and smile at him before slinging one of your legs over his, his hand habitually landing on your knee as you did so. You two had always been the closest in the friend group, but it was always platonic, as much as some of the people in the friend group wanted you guys to end up together.
Nick came and sat on your other side, smiling at the bowl in your hand, pointing at it happily. âSecret stash?â He asked.
You nod enthusiastically, swallowing the food that was in your mouth. âMatt saved me some because he knows how much I love to eat again a few hours later.â Your tone was slightly bratty, eyes flicking over to your boyfriend who stared at you and Matt. He was clearly mad at how close the two of you were sitting, and the hand placed gently on your knee.
Nick nodded. âOh yeah, I think we all know how much you love leftovers. I wish I could eat as much as you and still look that good,â he teased. You laughed, knowing Nick had no idea the interaction that transpired in the kitchen a few minutes ago, and his timing was just coincidentally perfect.
The night played on as usual, games continuing to play on the tv, loud chatter filling the room as you all caught up on each othersâ lives, talking about how adult life takes so much time to live and leaves so little for socializing.
Soon, people started leaving, and eventually it was just the triplets, your boyfriend and yourself, all sitting on the couch as the conversation started to die out, everyone starting to become tired.
Your boyfriend stands from the couch, stretching his arms above his head, shirt riding up slightly. âI think Iâm gonna head out, Iâm really tired,â he says. âYou want a ride home, babe?â He looks down at you where you now laid on your side, head resting on a pillow by the arm of the couch.
You look up and shoot him a quick smile, shaking your head. âIâm gonna pass out here for the night, thanks though.â You tell him. It was typical for you to stay over at the tripletsâ house when you got the chance. Youâve known them the longest and grown the closest with them out of the friend group.
âOh, you can sleep in my room!â Chris smiles at you, reaching over to grab your ankle, shaking it lightly. âIâm gonna sleep in Nickâs room.â
You sit up and laugh at Chris, nodding your head lightly. âOkay, thanks, Chris. Youâre the best.â
You and Chris had an almost sibling like relationship from the start, teasing and goofing off being an essential part of your bond. They were also a little bit younger, so he was like the little brother you never had.
Your boyfriend nods and walks over to you, leaning down to kiss you quickly before straightening back out, heading towards the door. âBye guys, thanks for hosting,â he says towards the boys before leaving, door shutting behind him.
You let out a sigh you didnât know you were holding, looking around at the three boys around you, all comfortably sitting on the couch on their phones. You smile to yourself a bit before pushing yourself up off of the couch, causing them to look up at you.
âIâm gonna go to sleep,â you say. âThanks for letting me sleep in your bed, Chris.â
Chris smiles up at you and nods. âGoodnight,â he says.
âNight,â you respond, starting your walk through the kitchen to get to the stairs.
Matt gets up and trails behind you, and you donât even question it, only turning around to look at him when youâve made it to Chrisâ room. âHere to tuck me in?â You tease.
Matt laughs and shrugs, walking to sit on the edge of the bed, looking up at you as you raid the drawers to find a large t-shirt to change into for the night. âI mean I can tuck you in if you want, but I just wanted to make sure you were okay after earlier. Iâm not really sure what happened but you werenât right after that.â
You pull out an old, worn out red sox shirt and walk over to the bed, sitting down in the middle of it. You let out a sigh and stare down at your hands. âIâm okay, itâs just⌠you know how I was eating those last few pieces of pizza?â
Matt scoots closer to you and turns to face you, nodding his head as he did so. âDid he say something to you?â He asked curiously, head tilting a bit.
You take a deep breath and nod, letting the air out slowly and quietly while you think of what to say. âHe just made a comment about how much I was eating and it kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Said I already ate a good amount earlier so I shouldnât eat any more.â
Matt pulled his head back with a disgusted look on his face. âThatâs weird. Itâs no different from how you usually eat.â He said.
You just shrugged your shoulders and leaned back against the headboard. âYeah, I know. Thatâs why I was so confused when he said it, it was just so out of left field. Itâs not like Iâve gained weight since weâve been together or anything either. I donât know, Matt, heâs been weird lately. Iâm not even sure if we should be together, but if we break up itâs going to make things weird between everybody and⌠I just donât know.â You run your hands over your face and groan loudly, smacking your hands back down on your legs when youâre done.
Matt looks at you for a moment, trying to figure out what to say that might make things better, but his curiosity gets the better of him and he finds himself trying to dig deeper. âHow is he being weird?â He inquires, sitting still in his spot in the middle of the bed.
You shake your head and look up at Matt, pursing your lips as you think. âHe just⌠heâs not very physical with me, he barely takes me on dates and when he does, I have to ask him to take me out, his texts are so dry it hurts, and⌠not to be too tmi but⌠Iâm just not very,â you blush and look down at your lap before finishing your sentence. âSatisfied.â Your voice fades off into almost a whisper.
Mattâs eyebrows raise, shocked that you confided in him about your sex life. It wasnât the first time it had happened, but normally he didnât know the guys you were complaining about and you could joke about it more freely. âLike⌠youâre not finishing?â He asks, not sure how far youâd be willing to take this conversation.
You cover your face, embarrassed, but ultimately you make eye contact through your fingers and shake your head, silently answering the question. âI do things for him every time, but I feel like heâs just using me to get off and my pleasure isnât important. Heâs never even eaten me out, just like fingered me before sex but you can tell heâs just doing it because he thinks he should, not because he actually wants to, and Iâve been with guys who enjoy that kind of stuff so I know itâs not a universal thought that getting your girlfriend off is a chore. But he doesnât even get me off! He just like⌠plays around down there and then fucks me for like two minutes!â
Matt laughs at your tone, nodding his head in agreement. âTwo minutes is⌠crazy,â he cackles.
You laugh back at him, the mood lifted. âYouâre telling me. I feel like I can literally count the seconds without losing track in the time it takes him to finish.â
Mattâs head falls back in laughter, but when he comes back to look at you, he raises an eyebrow at you. âHeâs seriously never eaten you out?â He asks, shocked at the earlier statement.
âNo,â you shake your head, lips falling in a tight line. âCrazy, right?â
He nods, taking a breath in like he was going to speak, but stopping himself before words could come out. He thought for a moment, not wanting to say anything to make the situation awkward. âI feel like I always eat a girl out and get her off at least once before we actually, yâknow. Fuck.â
Itâs been way too long, you think to yourself. Way too long since youâve actually been pleasured by a man that left you satisfied and even craving more. With your boyfriend now it just felt like you should be having sex, but you never craved it.
âI wish that was the case but⌠itâs mostly just me blowing him and not getting anything in return, or we just have sex without any sort of foreplay,â you tell him. Your eyes bore into his and you swallow thickly. Itâs not like youâve never thought about what sex with Matt would be like. You guys have talked about your sexual encounters before, but mostly as a joke, in ways that didnât make you guys want each other, at least thatâs what you thought. But now, talking about how awful your sex life was and how attentive Matt was in bed, it made you feel even more deprived.
Unbeknownst to you, Matt had thought about sex with you more than heâd like to admit, but would never bring it up due to fear of rejection. Heâs had a crush on you for a while now, but the thoughts of getting you naked and in his bed and consumed him recently. He was so turned on by even the smallest thing; the clothes you wore, your hair in a bun paired with your glasses, the smell of your perfume, everything made him want you even more. He felt like this conversation might be the only time he could make a move and actually have it make sense, but he didnât know how to bring it up.
âYou deserve better than that,â he starts nervously, right hand playing with the ring on his left pinky. âHave you talked to him about it?â
You laugh, rolling your eyes. âYeah right. Doesnât do anything. He says he doesnât do that. Says itâs boring and he hates the taste. Like suck it up.â
Matt keeps eye contact with you, taking a deep breath before the words that will change your relationship no matter the outcome slip past his lips.
âI love it,â he says. âI love eating girls out, having them squirm underneath me, pull my hair⌠it might be my favorite part of sex.â
Your throat goes dry as Matt talks, the eye contact getting almost too intense for you. The air in the room has shifted, and itâs hard to ignore. You swallow thickly, looking down to his lips before flitting back up to his eyes.
âListen, I.. I donât want to make this awkward or make you uncomfortable and,â he scoots closer on the bed, reaching a hand up to trail over your thigh. âI know weâve been friends for a really long time and this would change things forever, but I canât even tell you how bad I want to make you feel good.â
You suck in a breath, goosebumps arising on your leg where his hand rested, thumb gently swiping back and forth. âMattâŚâ you look at him with raised eyebrows.
âI know, I know youâre with him,â he interrupts. âBut I could make you feel so good. Please.â
Begging was your weakness, the desperate look in his eyes having you more hot and bothered than it shouldâve. You were in a relationship for fuckâs sake, this was wrong on more levels than one.
Mattâs hand reaches out to push a strand of hair behind your ear before he rests his palm on your cheek, getting up on his knees to tower over you, looking down at you from his elevated position. He leans down, left hand resting behind you on the headboard, locking you both into place. His face is right in front of yours now, both of your lips merely inches away.
âPlease,â he breaths out quietly.
You stare up into his eyes for a second.
TwoâŚ
ThreeâŚ
âFuck it,â you whisper, reaching up to grab the back of his head and pull him down the last few inches, slamming your lips together.
His tongue slides past your lips almost immediately, meeting yours fervently, his hand that rested on your cheek sliding down to rest on your waist, gripping gently like he was afraid youâd slip from his fingers.
Your hand slides up to thread through his hair, keeping pressure on the back of his head to keep him close. You moaned against his lips, both of you kissing more aggressively than you typically would due to the tension thatâs been growing between the two of you for years, finally snapping.
âI need you so bad,â he mutters against your lips, sliding down to kiss your neck, tongue sliding against your skin as he left kisses down your collarbone. âTake your clothes off, please, I need to see you.â
You sit up from the headboard and oblige, pulling your shirt over your head, leaving you in just your sweat shorts and bra. He follows suit and takes his shirt off, throwing it to the ground before sliding down the bed so he can grab your ankles, yanking you down the bed roughly so you were laid flat on the mattress instead of sitting up.
You let a small squeal leave your lips, followed by a giggle. This is exactly what you needed, to be manhandled by a man that wanted nothing more but to please you, and you couldnât be more excited for the night ahead of you.
Matt crawls back up the bed, looking at you like youâre his prey and heâs about to devour you. âYou look so good,â he says quietly, voice deeper than usual. Heâs hovering above you again just staring down at your face and admiring, like he canât believe heâs finally getting what heâs waited so long for.
Your hands reach up to touch his shoulders, dragging your fingers up and down his arms that are braced on either side of you, holding his body up. You admire him for a few minutes yourself, just staring up at him as he looks at you, the silence not awkward at all, instead itâs comforting, and he feels like home.
Finally, he breaks the eye contact as he leans down to kiss you again and your arms come up to wrap around his neck. âMatt,â you mumble, his lips pressed firmly against yours. He hums in response, placing a final small kiss on your lips as he pulls away to hear what you have to say.
Youâre nervous as you speak, but push the feelings aside as to come off more confident than you actually are.
âI need you,â you whisper, staring straight up into his bright blue eyes. âPlease.â
Mattâs still for a moment before he leans his weight on his left hand, sliding his right one underneath your back that arches for him to have easier access, skillfully undoing the clasp on your bra. As soon as itâs undone, you use your own hands to peel the bra off of your arms, leaving you completely topless in front of him, nipples hardening at the cold rush of air on your chest.
He starts his descent down the bed, letting his lips trail down your body, over your collarbone, through the valley of your breasts, down your stomach, finally reaching your hipbones where he started to suck a mark into as he tucked his fingers in the waistband of your shorts, pulling them down along with your underwear, your naked body fully on display for Matt for the first time ever, but in the back of your mind, you hope it isnât the last.
He pulls his lips away from the purple mark he sucked into your skin, admiring his work. âYou have no idea how long Iâve wanted to mark you up, to claim you.â Matt looks up at your face to see you already staring down at him. âNeed to taste you so bad.â
You nod your head lightly, giving him permission to finally do what he wanted, and what you needed so badly.
His head dips down to kiss your hip again, lips moving over your thighs, his hands pushing them farther apart to give him access to what he needed the most. His eyes stare down at your core, something that would usually make you insecure, but right now only made you feel even hornier, the thought of him soaking in the way that you looked down there turning you on more than anything so far. âPretty?â You ask him bashfully.
Matt licks his lips in response, taking in a breath to calm himself. âFucking perfect.â He drops his head and drags his tongue from your hole up to your clit, grabbing the wetness that dripped out of you and spreading it up, wrapping his lips around the nub that needed attention more than it ever has in your life.
You gasp and drop your head down to the pillow, hands instantly tangling in the sheets to ground yourself somehow. âFuck, Matt,â you cry, arching your back off of the bed.
He uses his hands to keep your legs spread apart as he devours your pussy, the wet sounds coming from his mouth meeting your heat filling the room. Youâre grinding up into his mouth and he lets you, wanting to allow you to do whatever felt the best to you, but you halt your motions when he pulls away and lets go of your left thigh, dragging his fingers up your leg until they meet your entrance, slipping two fingers into you, your pussy enthusiastically accepting them.
He brings his mouth to the inside of your thigh as he starts to finger you slowly, thumb rubbing against your clit as he does so, sucking another hickey into your soft skin. Youâre a moaning mess as he plays with you, finally feeling something other than disappointment in bed for the first time in a long time.
After heâs satisfied with the mark heâs left on your skin, he moves his thumb away from your clit and trails back up to wrap his lips around it, sucking softly and letting his tongue run over the nub, fingers still working inside of you. The combination of both had you reeling, damn near seeing stars. Not only has it been forever since youâve been eaten out, but itâs been even longer since youâve been eaten out well.
âMatthew,â you breathe, exhaling loudly. You were trying to stay quieter, but you were quickly losing your inhibitions. The way he used his tongue on you, sucking on your clit alongside the fingers working their way inside you was making you dizzy, your stomach coiling in a familiar way. âMatt, please donât stop,â you beg, reaching up to slide your fingers through his hair.
He listens, curling his fingers inside of you as his tongue traced shapes on your clit, the taste of you alone making him so hard it hurt.
You cried out and arched your back against the bed, fingers gripping the overgrown hair that adorned Mattâs head, moans growing louder than you were able to control. âFuck!â You whined, thighs shaking as they tried to close around Matt, but he pulled his fingers out of you and used both hands to press your knees apart, keeping you exposed to him as he ate you through your orgasm, making you cry out even more, not used to the overstimulation.
He finally pulls away, kissing his way back up your torso until heâs hovering above your face, smiling down at you. âYou okay?â He asks sweetly, using his left hand that isnât covered in your arousal to brush your sweaty hair out of your face.
You pant as you look up at him, desperately trying to catch your breath. All you can do at the moment is nod, eyebrows furrowing together as you stare at him, almost innocently, and the look in your eyes makes his dick twitch in his pants.
He smirks down at you and reaches back down with his right hand, dragging his fingers over your clit again, making your legs twitch and try to close, a small whimper leaving your lips. âSensitive,â you whine, but you still canât help the moan that leaves your lips when he dips his fingers back inside you, pumping them slowly.
Your eyes flutter closed as your head rests in the pillow, back arching as you push your hips down to meet his fingers.
The mix of the pleasure and the immorality of the situation is ripping you apart, like an angel and a devil on your shoulder, but the devil was winning tonight and you werenât even worried about the consequences.
âSo good,â you whisper, finally able to respond. âBut this is so wrong, Matt.â
He nods, leaning down to kiss your cheek. âI know,â he says quietly against your skin. âDo you want me to stop?â He slides his fingers out of you and starts making circles on your clit, slowly but surely bringing you back towards the edge of an orgasm, but the tone of his voice makes you completely confident that he would stop if you told him to, that heâd cover you up and leave you here to sleep, never to bring up this incident again. Your best friend was way too sweet to you for your own good; unfortunately for him, and especially for your boyfriend, you werenât quite as good of a person.
âNo point in stopping now, not when you got me wanting you so bad,â you tell him, a smirk falling onto your lips. âI need you to fuck me.â
Mattâs breath hitches in his throat at your filthy words, unable to even process the fact that heâs in bed with you right now, let alone the way youâre speaking. He wouldâve been completely happy just getting you off and making you feel good, so getting to fuck you really just felt like a bonus for him. âAnything for my favorite girl.â
Matt stands up off the bed and slips his sweats and boxers off, stepping out of them before taking a step back towards the bed, blushing at the expression on your face.
âHoly shit, Matt, I wouldâve fucked you a long time ago if I knew you were packing straight heat,â you laugh, gawking at the size of his dick. Your boyfriend was nothing in comparison. You donât think youâd ever be able to go back after this.
âShut up,â Matt chuckles, climbing back onto the bed and fitting himself between your spread legs, sitting up on his knees and pulling your hips up to meet his, ass resting on the tops of his thighs. âYou sure you want this?â He clarifies, making sure a final time. You guys have already crossed so many lines, but this seemed like the final one, the point of no return. But youâre happy where youâre at, and you let him know by nodding at him, confirming that youâre ready to say fuck it to the boundaries set by the standard rules of friendship.
Matt shakes his head and leans over your body, face hovering above yours. âI want to hear you say it,â he whispers, eyes boring into your own.
You smile and reach your hand up to cup his cheek, tilting your chin up slightly. âIâm ready,â you tell him sweetly. âFuck me, please.â
Heâs nervous, and you could tell, but he pushes it aside as he sits back up and grabs the base of his dick, using his hand to line up the tip with your entrance, slowly sliding himself in until heâs buried to the hilt, a small moan leaving both of your mouths. âShit, Matt,â you whine, reaching out to grab any part of him, something to ground you in this situation. He sees your efforts and leans over you once more, the angle of him just sitting inside you brushing up against all the right places.
Your hand reaches out and grabs his bicep, eyes fluttering open to look at his face above you, his expression slightly distant as he focused on the reality that has been the subject of every wet dream for at least the last five years. âYou okay?â You ask him, and he lets out a breathy chuckle.
âI should be asking you that,â he states. âIâm fine, just canât believe Iâm finally getting to do this. Iâve wanted you for so long.â
You smile and wiggle your hips, pushing down into him. âShow me how long youâve been waiting for this.â
Matt doesnât hesitate when he hears those words, and he pulls his hips back just to snap back into you roughly, making you moan and throw your head back, your neck exposed for Matt to do whatever he wanted.
He keeps up a rough pace on you, grunts leaving his mouth every so often. âYou feel so good,â he says lowly, leaning down to bury his head in your neck as he fucks into you relentlessly. His lips trail over your skin, until you feel his mouth open, a light suction on your neck sending you reeling.
You know heâs marking you up in places that are going to be visible now, and thereâs no turning back from this, thereâs no way youâll be able to hide it without being obvious, but you just canât find it in you to care.
âFuck, Matt, youâre fucking me so good, donât stop,â you cry out, hands reaching around his back, nails digging into his skin.
He listens, like the good boy he is, keeping up his pace on you. He sits up, though, your ass still planted on his thighs as he rocks his hips into you, his arms wrapping around your legs and holding you in place. âIâm not gonna last long like this, Iâm so sorry,â he apologizes. Heâs far too turned on to last as long as he normally does, too worked up and so enthusiastic about finally getting to fuck you after all these years.
âThatâs okay, Iâm so close,â you tell him, reaching down to start rubbing circles on your clit to push you farther towards the edge, wanting to finish with Matt, but he pushes your hand away, replacing it with his own, rubbing a quick back and forth motion on your clit in time with his thrusts. âIâll take care of you,â he tells you, looking into your eyes. âI got you.â
Those words alone had you arching your back off the bed, gripping the sheets next to you as you came for the second time that night, legs shaking as you cried out, muttering out his name mixed in with obscenities. âMatt,â you whimper, breathing heavily as you came down.
He was still thrusting into you, slower and gentler now, but enough to still have you riled up despite the orgasm that just shook your body. âYouâre doing so well for me,â he praised, sliding his slick covered hand over your thigh, rubbing the skin lovingly. âIâm so close, baby, where do you want me?â
âAnywhere you want,â you tell him, shaking your head. âIâm all yours.â
The words send him over the edge, his thrusts getting sloppy as he finished inside of you, shooting his load deep into your pussy. âFuck,â he moans, hips coming to a halt fully inside of you as he collects his breath.
You guys are both silent for a moment before you make eye contact and start giggling, your hand coming up to cover your mouth as you did so, his shoulders shaking slightly. âOh my god,â he speaks first, looking down as he pulls out of you, his seed spilling out slowly. He acts without thinking and reaches down, using his fingers to scoop it up and push it back inside of you, making you gasp.
âMatt,â you warn, and he snaps his head back up to look at you. âSorry,â he says, a blush starting to cover his cheeks. âJust donât wanna waste any.â
He pulls his fingers out and wipes them on the sheets, grimacing slightly. âDefinitely going to have to wash these tomorrow, but thatâs a tomorrow issue.â
You smile and reach towards him, grabbing his arm to pull him back down to you, sliding your hand up his arm and towards his cheek before pulling him into a soft kiss. He kisses you back happily, his clean hand resting on your waist.
As you both kiss, he moves to lay next to you and slides his hand down your hip until it rests on your leg, pulling it over him so you guys are cuddling face to face.
Matt pulls away from the kiss and smiles over at you. âI guess this would be a bad time to tell you Iâve had feelings for you for a really long time?â He raises his eyebrows as he speaks, pressing his lips in a thin, awkward smile when heâs done.
You laugh and shake your head, brushing a long strand of hair out of his eyes. âI think itâs perfect timing.â
He smiles wide and leans in to kiss you once more, holding your body close to his own.

You guys mustâve ended up under the blankets at some point during the night, and thank god for that, because it couldnât have been later than 9am when you hear the sound of the bedroom door opening and the song Pony by Ginuwine blaring through a speaker, ripping you out of a deep sleep.
Your eyes tear open and you stare at where the noise is coming from, feeling the hand wrapped around your waist tightening before you both sit up and stare at the door, seeing Chris in the doorway jokingly dancing and grinding as he held the speaker up in his hand, looking at both of you on the bed.
You canât help but throw your head back in laughter, the sight of him breaking into the room like this making you crack up. âChris!â You yell between giggles, making sure youâre holding up the blanket to cover your chest.
Nick comes up and stands behind Chris, shaking his head. âI told him not to,â he states, clearly unamused with his brotherâs antics.
Chris giggles and turns the music down, staring at the two of you in bed, one of you laughing and one of you glaring back at him. âHey, Iâm happy you guys finally fucked, just really wish it wasnât in my bed.â
Matt narrows his eyes and reaches underneath him, grabbing the pillow he was previously laying on and flinging it at his younger sibling. âChris, get the fuck out!â

spudsyâs shifts and dumbass rabbits (jax x reader)
i watched episode 4 and couldnât resist writing this lil silly fic because i hate jax <3

you swear youâre gonna kill him. Â
you donât even care what happens after that, Caine can throw you in the void or force you into a therapy session with him, or whatever horrifying punishment his ai brain comes up with. itâd be worth it. itâd be so worth it if it meant shutting Jax up for five goddamn minutes.Â
heâs been sitting at the counter, feet kicked up onto the register looking like heâs on fucking vacation, while you scramble around Spudsyâs kitchen. the fryerâs spitting oil, the soda machineâs doing that weird gurgling thing again
and Jax does nothing all shift except make snide comments about your âtechniqueâ, pretending to be Gordon Ramsay trapped in a rabbitâs body. Â
âyouâre gonna burn them,â he drawls, spinning one of the ketchup bottles like itâs a fidget toy, watching you flipping the fries.
you slam the fryer basket down harder than necessary and whirl around to glare at him. âmaybe if you got off your lazy ass and helped, theyâd come out looking better.â Â
Jax snickers, tilting his head back to look at you upside-down. his ears flop over the back of the chair, and he grins widely. ânah, why would I do that when youâre doing such a great job on your own?â Â
âJax, I swear to #@?!ââ Â
âlanguage, language!â he interrupts, wagging a finger at you. âwhat would Caine think if he heard you talking like that?â Â
you grab the nearest ketchup bottle and launch it at him. and honestly, itâs more satisfying than it should be when it hits him square in the chest, splattering his black uniform with bright red. Â
âoh, wow.â he looks down at the mess and then up at you, opening his eyes wide in fake surprise. âwas that supposed to hurt my feelings? because itâs just pathetic, sweetie, really.â Â
âpathetic?!â youâre halfway across the counter before you even realise what youâre doing, hands grabbing at his stupid clothes to yank him closer, practically face to face, however this damn bastard is taller than you, but you donât back down.
Jax doesnât fight it. in fact, he leans into it, daring you to say something else.
his stupid sharp smile only growing wider. âaww, isnât it romantic. youâre starting to sound so obsessed with me, sweetheart.â
âobsessed with killing you, maybe.â your grip tightens on his shirt. Jaxâs smile fades for a moment and his ears twitch what makes you think he might actually shut up. Â
but no. of course not. Â
âif i knew getting you riled up was this easy, Iâdâve started weeks ago,â his tone is so insufferably casual that youâre losing your temper.
you shove him back, harder than you meant to and he stumbles, nearly tripping over the chair heâs been lounging in all shift. you expect him to snap at you or at least throw some sarcastic quip your way, but insteadâ Â
he laughs.
it throws you off just long enough for him to close the distance between you, his hands catching yours before you can storm off. Â
âhey, youâve got a little ketchupââ Jax swipes a gloved finger across your cheek, smudging red sauce where there definitely wasnât any before ââright there.â Â
you glare at him, opening your mouth to yell, but before you can say anything, he leans down andâ Â
oh.
itâs quick. as if heâs testing the waters, but the kiss leaves you frozen in place. his grin is back in full force when he pulls away, his eyes half-lidded. you stand there, dumbfounded, looking at his infuriatingly pleased face. the fryer beeps in the background and the soda machine gurgles again.
âthere. now weâre even,â he says, stepping back and slipping out of your reach before you can punch him in the face. Â
âyouâre such aââ Â
âJax! y/n! get back to work!â Gangle's voice sounds.
you fucking hate him. probably.

Pre-relationship! Isagi who thought he was being subtle about his crush.
Until he made a PowerPoint ranking all the times you smiled at him.
Slide 7 was âsmile #3 at the vending machineâpossibly meant for meâ
He never showed it to you (thank God), but Reo found it.
You still don't know Isagi once wrote-
âYoichi + Y/n = Tactical Pairingâ in his planner with little hearts.
Pre-relationship! Kaiser who called you annoying every time you breathed near him.
But bought two of everything in the vending machine just in case you wanted one.
When you asked why he had an extra melon soda:
âHah? Iâm not giving it to you. But like. If you took it. Whateverâ
Also: tackled a guy in dodgeball for hitting you once. âIt was strategyâ
Heâs in love. Deep. Denial level: Olympic gold.
Pre-relationship! Barou who screamed at you to stop walking alone at night.
You: âThen walk with me?â
Barou: âIâM NOT YOUR DOGâ
Proceeds to follow you the entire way like a furious Rottweiler.
Buys two protein bars, then shoves one in your bag. âDonât be weak.â
You: âAww, thank you.â
Barou: âItâs not for you. I dropped it.â
It was still sealed.
Pre-relationship! Sae who spotted you standing at the vending machine, trying to decide between two drinks, and silently sighed.
After a few moments of you struggling to pick, he just walked over, hit the button for both, and handed them to you without saying a word.
You stared at him, baffled. âYou didnât even askââ
âClearly, you were having trouble,â he muttered before walking off, leaving you clutching two drinks and wondering if heâd actually done something nice.
Pre-relationship! Rin who once saw you drop your pencil case in the hallway and, without thinking, lunged to grab it before you could even bend down.
You blinked in surprise as Rin awkwardly thrust it back into your hands, face red.
âUh... I wasnât trying to be helpful or anything,â he mumbled, a little too defensive.
âYeah, I figuredâ you said, grinning as he walked away, clearly pretending he didnât care.
You made a mental note to thank him later. Somehow, you knew heâd do it again.
Pre-relationship! Bachira Who noticed you sketching in the back of class, completely absorbed in your own world.
One day, he decided to sit next to you, not even trying to talk, just staring at your artwork with a grin on his face.
âYouâre drawing again. Wanna show me?â
You hesitated but handed over your sketchbook.
To your surprise, he started adding random little doodles and silly comments.
âYeah, but I think it needs more monsters. Maybe a dragon? Definitely a dragonâ

college!rodrick heffley | mature content 18+

rodrick heffley didnât believe in cleaning. sure, he would occasionally move piles of clothes from one corner of his dorm to another, or kick an empty soda can under his bed to make it look like he cared, but honestly, he didnât see the point. his roommate wasnât much better, so their dorm was a certified disaster zone.
that is, until you started showing up more often.
you and rodrick had been dating for a few months now, and while you adored the ever living fuck out of him, you couldnât deny the absolute horror that was his living space. so naturally, you took matters into your own hands. his roommate was out, which meant you had the place to yourselves. rodrick was sprawled out on the couch, a playstation controller in his hands, watching you move around picking up crumpled shirts, empty coffee cups.
those stupid shorts again.
the material clung to your thighs, already short enough, but every time you bent down, they seemed to ride up just a little more. rodrick simply couldnât take his eyes from your pert ass. the hem of the fabric inched dangerously high, exposing that sliver of skin just below the curve of your asscheeks, where your thighs began to taper. it wasnât everythingâbut enough to make his brain short-circuit.
âyou know,â you said, crouching down to pick up a tattered notebook off the floor, âthis room is a biohazard. iâm pretty sure it violates some kind of health code.â rodrick mashed a random button on his controller.
âuh, yeah. i was, uh, gonna clean it. eventually.â
you snorted, standing up and tossing the notebook onto his desk. âsure.â his eyes followed you as you moved across the room. he should say somethingâanythingâbut his brain wasnât cooperating when his blood was rushing south.
âhey rod,â you said bluntly, âwhy do you keep oogling my ass?â his face went bright red as the controller hit the floor with a clatter. âi⌠i wasnât!â he stammered, âi wasnâtâuh, i mean, i wasnât trying to, itâs justââ you shook your head, sighing and walking over to where he was sitting. without a word, you climbed onto his lap, straddling him with one knee on either side of his hips. rodrickâs hands slid instinctively to your hips but didnât stay there for long. almost without thinking, they drifted lower, fingers splaying over the curve of your ass.
âif iâm so distracting,â you drawled, grinding against the growing bulge in his jeans, âmaybe you should say something instead of staring like an idiot.â before he could even think of something to say, your lips brushed against his neck. the sudden sharp nip at his adamâs apple made him jolt, a soft, involuntary whine escaping his throat. âh-hey,â he mumbled, tilting his head back against the couch. âyouâre evil.â

"Pretty thing, isn't she?"
Preview: LnDs boys reacting to other guys hitting on you.
SYLUS
You stood in front of the heavy wooden doors covered in gilt, a gateway exuberating luxury and inviting only the top 1% of the N109's population, which of course, includes Sylus. You had yet to be used to attending such fancy events but Sylus had managed to convince you by being apart of such events, you would be able to establish your name within the N109 zone quicker and that people would learn not to mess with you as much anymore. Perhaps you were not having a clear mind during then but here you stood now, in the middle of a huge banquet hall, in a maroon red dress that makes you feel naked due to how cocooned you feel within the fit.
"Breathe, then maybe you may not feel so nervous." Sylus slipped an arm around you and started to lead you into the highly ornated hall. You could tell that nobody here belonged to the 'average' class as their manners, demeanours and even body languages rotated around the word demure. Escorted to a standing bar table, your partner leaned down just enough for his lips to hover over the side of your ear and you could feel his hot breath tickled against your lobes. "Stay here, I will get us some drinks." And off he went, his tall figure blending into the crowds of dancing participants.
Sylus strutted over towards the bar and casually leaned against it. One good thing about events as such is other than the free flow of alcohol, waiters are built to be more attentive and aware of their surroundings as they do hold a split image of the host of the event. "One whiskey and a glass of lemon soda." The waiter nodded and immediately started to get to work. Sylus then turned around, his eyes scanning the crowds of people and landing on you, the lady in red still standing at the table alone, awaiting for him.
"Eyeing the bird I see?" A voice chimed out of the blue, laced with a thick British accent that any lady would have been charmed over. Sylus's crimson eyes glanced over and caught sight of a man in a tailored suit, brunette hair slicked back and eyes the shade of ocean. "I wonder if she would be pleased to have company for the night." The hint of tease in his voice got the lover of yours quirking an eyebrow, expressing amusement at the man's confidence.
"You can give it a shot." He snarked, one side of his lips tilted upwards to form a smirk. "She does not seem to be the type to let in so easily." The clink of glass onto the table top got Sylus to turn over, grabbing his glass smoothly and tasting the whiskey. "How does a bet sound?"
"Whoever gets her by the end of the night shall be crowned winner then?" The young man downed his vodka shot in one go and he stood straight, adjusting his outfit and shooting his head back to Sylus, who is still smirking in his direction. "It's on, then."
Watching the man walking over to you, each step radiating manly confidence nearly got Sylus laughing, if only the man knew how hard it was for Sylus to get you to just stay with him. "She may be pretty, but she ain't stupid that's for sure." Picking up her glass of lemon soda, he too, started walking towards the table. Seeing you talking to the British man, slightly chuckling got Sylus feeling an ick at the back of his throat and it did not taste good. He made his presence known by loudly clinking the glass of lemon soda onto the table.
You gulped when you saw Sylus had returned, and accepted the glass of lemon soda he had gotten for you. You boyfriend turned over to the British lad and smiled a bit too politely for his usual manners before he spoke. "The moment you had picked her to be your target, is the moment I already knew I won the bet." His eyes gleamed murder under the shine of the crystal chandeliers. "If I were you, I would scamper off immediately before I hunt you down."
XAVIER
It has been a while since you had been on a hotpot date with your lover. Ever since Captain Jenna had assigned him on a mission, it has been hard to match up both of your timings to plan for a date. Hence, once you received the text from your boyfriend stating that his mission had finally met the end of it's trail, you could not hide your excitement and went ahead to book for a hotpot store that had recently opened up just a few streets down. Your sole motivation of booking the store was hearing Tara's praises over the services offered there. She claimed that anyone who goes in would surely come out feeling refreshed and that was what got you sold on making a reservation.
Perhaps, just maybe, the way Tara had phrased that got you picturing a whole different scenario; where an otherworldly hotpot experience was what you were anticipating, with fastidious services and amazing food and offers you a new kind of service. Yet, here you sat, in the middle of a table with tons of half naked men walking around you, serving hotpot dishes. So this was Tara's definition of feeling refreshed. Palming yourself on the forehead, you were figuring why did you bother asking for a hotpot recommendation from one of your girl friends who happens to be single.
"May I help you with something?" A young man, wrapped in biker shorts and an apron approached you and you gulped, eyes immediately avoiding whatever skin he has to show. Seeing your reaction, a chuckled rolled out of his lips and he took a seat beside you, unaware that you already have a boyfriend as Xavier would be slightly late due to an unexpected traffic jam. "Would you like me to give you a massage to ease your tension hmm?"
You gave an awkward chuckle, hands waving back and forth while rejecting his oncoming offer. "I have a boyfriend and I am not interested. I would like to get a menu please." Just by talking to the guy, it left a bitter taste in your mouth, it felt like you were cheating on Xavier although you were barely doing anything. The weight on the couch shifted and you heard a soft thud, seeing the shadow beside you disappearing out of the corner of your eye.
The waiter that had initially served you headed back towards the counter, his other colleagues wriggling their eyebrows at him. "How's it going with that chick, Ken? You manage to ask for her wechat yet?" One of the guys asked, his pearly whites flashing. But Ken shrugged and muttered something about her having a boyfriend. "Well adding her on wechat is not exactly a crime. No harm in storing a cute girl's number in your phone anyways."
A figure walked past them, stopped mid way and approached them. This figure was leaner, taller, and looked more elegant than the other men adorning aprons and biker shorts within the restaurant. "Which girl?" His voice chimed in and Ken responded without much thought, thinking it was one of his colleagues asking for the target. He pointed exactly at you and the stranger's cerulean blue orbs caught yours and his lips pulled into a warm smile. Seeing you being so uneasy within a crowd of half-naked men amuses him. "Easy. If I get her number, does this mean I get to keep her?"
Ken then noticed the source of the voice, a man dressed up in a wool hoodie, with sandy blond hair and dreamy blue eyes and an innocent smile. He holds very effiminate features for a man. Given that the store was not opened for that long, Ken thought he may be one of the newcomers coming for an interview. "Sure buddy, if you get it, I guess you can keep it. But she does have a boyfriend, she said it herself." Xavier chuckled and casually shrugged his shoulders and sauntered over to you. The men stood by the counter and watched intently.
Watching Xavier talking to you and getting you to smile got the men to exchange glances at one another. Maybe they are missing something, or maybe it did hurt their small ego a little. But the moment Xavier got you by the hand and started to lead you out of the restaurant, the men were shocked, eyes widened and jaws slacked at how Xavier could easily get you to comply. Walking past Ken, Xavier stopped to say. "Next time, if you want to lay a bet, don't be such an airhead and at least lay it with someone who does not have a boyfriend already."
RAFAYEL
Getting stuck in a foreign city with little to no guidance is not that rare of an occurrence as Rafayel does enjoy being 'lost' with you. "That is how you can truly get to enjoy a city." Is what he would usually use to comfort you. However, that sentence of his may only work if the both of you are not entirely soaked under the heavy rain. Shivering, hungry and worn out. "Shall we head in there for some shelter?" Rafayel suggested, slender index finger pointed towards the building ahead of the both of you.
With a slight nod, he led you towards the building. It turned out to be a bustling bar within the small town. Locals filled to the brim, chattering in their own mothertongue while enjoying each other's company. "Stay here, I will get us some drinks." Rafayel informed you and headed off after pressing a small kiss onto your left cheek. The both of your arrival certainly did alerted a couple of the locals. Seeing a drenched couple within a bar is a good sign for them to know that you guys are far from home.
Perched against a standing bar table, you studied the crowd that were occupying the dance floor. The crowd are drenched in the bask of neon glow emitted by the LED lights that hung high above the ceilings. Some of them had drinks in their hand as they swayed to the beat while some others were clearly in their own world, striking dance moves that are attracting a spectacle. "Hey!" A voice called out to you and you turned your head, landing your sight on a tall male figure, with hair that are akin to the sunset and with milky pale skin. Upon approaching you, you caught sight of his emerald eyes that sparkled like eccentric jewels under the dim lights. "You dropped this?!"
Looking down at his palm, he held out your phone to you. The music is probably too loud for you to even notice that your phone had fell out of your pocket and landed onto the floor with a thud. "Yeah!" You responded with the volume that hopefully reaches his ears. The ginger haired man smiled and stood next to you and he started striking a conversation with you, asking if you were alone and if you happen to be a local as well. "Oh, I am from Linkon City and I am not here alone!" You smiled awkwardly but also responded out of a polite manner.
A hand that landed at your back made you jumped slightly and you retreated from the guy's vicinity when you realised he was trying to get close to you. "What's wrong?" Feigning shock, he only closed in on you, a smirk creeping its way onto his face. He looked nothing different than a wolf that is ready to pounce whenever he finds the chance to. "Whatever happens in here, stays in here." His statement got your voice stuck in your throat, your chest tightening when you realised that you are about to get jumped by a 'kind' stranger.
"You have to try so hard to get her to pay attention to you?" A mocking voice came from behind you and your heart sighed in relief when Rafayel towered behind you, two glasses in hand and a genuine amused smile stamped onto his features. "I didn't even have to try to get her to come on this trip with me." Rafayel casually handed you your drink and he took up the space in front of you, his height on par with the guy whom had tried to hit on you. Rafayel's eyes gleamed a shade of striking electric blue when he leaned in towards the guy, his demeanour taking a turn towards being protective and establishinig dominance.
This side of Rafayel got your heart lurching for a moment. Seeing such a nonchalant and charming individual taking a turn towards being protective over you got the butterflies in your stomach blindly colliding with the walls of your insides. "Touch her one more time, I dare you." Snapping his finger, the flames of his evol came alive and the guy muttered curses, stepping aback. "I might not be able to guarantee you would be able to leave here in one piece."
ZAYNE
The cardiac surgeon's off day is spent on paying you a surprise visit during your demonstration day. This day in specific is held annually at the Linkon City Hall, where the public are informed about the roles of a deepspace hunter and it is also a day for the organisation to recruit potential new hunters for their task forces. He remembered that day as you stood in front of him, with a brochure shoved into his arms before you sprinted off like a whimpering fox. The piece of paper featured your face on it, posing with your guns, with a huge title pasted above your head that is promoting 'Hunter's Showdown Performance'. Zayne could not help his lips from tugging into a small smile as he stared blankly at your wannabe serious face on the piece of paper.
You stood at the back of the stage, isolating yourself from the rest of the crew as you quietly rehearsed your steps. You were only given a month to prepare for this demonstration and knowing that you are not able to strike to wanderer actors makes it all the more tedious for you to rehearse your steps. Every movement, every swing of the guns and every shot has to be precise and realistic, minus the actual damage to be taken by the other actors. Executing a full 360 turn, you came to a halt when your name was hollered out by someone in the background. "Y/n!" You turned your head and your partner came up to you, his smile wide. "Hey, you rehearsing for your part?"
Upon nodding your head, he proceeded to ask if it would be alright for him to rehearse his part with you. On usual notes, hunters are usually dispatched in pairs and since Tara is not around, hence Captain Jenna decided to pair you up with Christopher. The rehearse took around 15 minutes till he paused, patting you on your shoulder encouragingly. "You got anyone coming over to watch you?" You opened your mouth to speak but a voice chimed in before you could even say anything else.
"Yes." Zayne stood behind you, his features darkened at the sight of the hand of a stranger's on your shoulder. Christopher coughed slightly and retreated his touch, feeling guilty instantly. You were of course, shocked, that Zayne had managed to make time to come and see this silly demonstration of yours. When you gave him the brochure, you were certainly not expecting him to appear in person. You figured he might just watch it via the online link from his office if he happened to not any surgeries scheduled for the day. You were totally wronged.
"You...uhm...never told me you had a boyfriend." Christopher chuckled awkwardly, his hand lightly tapping and rubbing the back of his neck to somewhat soothe himself from the tense stare he was getting from a pair of unfamiliar emerald orbs.
Zayne took this chance to stand beside you and he extended a hand towards the guy, expression still indifferent. "I am Zayne, y/n's boyfriend, it is nice to meet you." Christopher did shook his hand out of respect but did not took long to stay, muttering that he has to get his makeup done and off he went. You could somehow feel dark clouds crowding in above your head, a storm lingering in the back of Zayne's gaze. "Was that the guy that you were supposed to perform with?" His voice was gentle, but he awaits for your answer.
"Yeah...Tara could not make it during this event, hence Captain Jenna got him to pair up with me for the demonstration." Your voice was slightly quivering, thinking that Zayne might be upset with you not openly telling your colleagues that you are already in a relationship. But you came from his standpoint, as Zayne is someone who cares about his privacy, you figured he might not appreciate you going on yapping about you being in a relationship and would much rather keep it low-key and only between the two of you. "I'm sorry I never mentioned about you to any of my colleagues as I thought you would like to keep our relationship private and confidential."
Zayne's eyes caught yours and he smiled warmly, his hand coming up to tuck a stray strand of your hair behind your ear and he leaned down, pressing a soft kiss onto your forehead. You froze, knowing that at this point you would be receiving tons of stares from your surrounding colleagues. "Y/n, as much as I would like to keep our relationship private, I would not like it if someone were to try to take advantage on you just because they think they could." His palm smoothed the baby hairs atop of your head, his smile still evident as he continued speaking softly to you. "If you find it hard to tell your colleagues about us because of me, I will just let my actions show them what we are."

Yeah my boyfriendâs pretty cool, but heâs not as cool as me â K. Bakugou x f!Reader

Summary: You, a top model meet pro hero Dynamight on your Victoria's Secret fashion show. You didn't know how easily you both could cling like magnets. Maybe you found your soulmate, why else does it seem so easy? So loving? So ethereal? A/N: I missed writing my Jerk (Bakugou) so here I go. The character is giving off Y/N from Wattpad almost (KEKEKEK) :3 What! Sue me! Also brb gonna take a bath in holy water after this. Not beta'd take the typos like a pro ;) also this is probably my longest fic IN A WHILE and that's saying something!!! Warnings: N!pple play, F!ingering, S3x(P in V), missionary, doggy-style, squ!rting, breed!ng, dirty talk, spank!ngs. Let me know if I missed anything. :3 Oh and TOOTH ROTTING FLUFF
You sucked in a breath when you heard the announcements go off, the announcer urging the models to get done with their hair & makeup fast. It wasnât like any other show, honestly. It was the Victoriaâs Secret show. The internet alone can swamp any and every other news when this âphenomenonâ occurs. You have been on a strict diet of salads, high pilates & cardio, and for the past two days â dehydration to show your abs more. Being a successful model is all about making it look effortless even if itâs all graft, tenacity & utterless devotion. No career is easy at the end of the day after all.
âY/n, are you okay? The show is about to start.â Your manager, also the manager of this event comes up to you, long, poised strides in her red bottom pencil heels. Sheâs wearing a satin, well-tailored coat and a skirt. âCanât wait to munch on a fucking burger and drink a gallon of cold soda.â You smirk, your eye makeup was completed, the final touches of the makeup setting spray was splayed on by the makeup artist tending to you.
âYou look gorgeous, Y/n.â He commented, voice feminine & fashion sense incredible. He was gay, and one of your best friends in the industry. âMan, so many people would be here in the show.â You snorted, âwhoâs coming to sing?â Your curiosity is piqued. There is always a star who comes in and makes sure the runway ends up a much better experience.
âItâs Jungkook.â Your manager responds curtly.
âFuckinâ hell they literally bagged Jungkook?â You scoffed almost, ahâ shit. Jungkook has a massive following, of course they would. Even if heâs your ex boyfriend. Of course they fucking would. You pursed your lips, your relationship with him was entirely kept a secret. Heâs an idol, worshipped infactâ and that ended up for the best when you parted ways. The NDA was perfect. Though you often wondered if the glamour you chose for yourself would ever allow you a fair chance at getting the right partner.
âEh, Jungkookâs not my type.â Your bestie, the makeup artist Samuel hums, his shoulders shrugging up. âI got my eyes on the heroes.â He winks, adjusting the last finished strands of your hair. The heroesâŚ
âI donât understand why the heroes are invited to stuff like these.â You roll your eyes. It is weird to think about. He chuffs, âoh come onâ theyâre just as big of celebrities & events like these are all about glamour and showing off.â He snorts, âDynamightâs coming, Star and Stripes is coming, a lot of the heroes who are under the top three would be here. Gahh I wonder how Dynamight looks in a suit⌠dudeâs fucking jacked. Iâm drooling just thinking about it.â
You chuckled, rolling your eyes. âOkay okay, drooling dog. Leave me alone and let me calm my tits before the walk begins.â
Dynamight huh, Katsuki Bakugou. The number one hero of Japan. He is popular enough, you have seen him bag the Calvin Kleinâs Times Square ad. Your fingers itched towards your phone, searching up Dynamight on Instagram. There were two accounts. One of them was the official hero account, named Dynamight. The other wasâ seemingly his personal account, it was named BakugouKatsuki. Both of them were public though. Ah, you will stalk him later. Now isnât the best time.
You get up, itching in your feet into the pencil heels and stretching your body. Amidst the ruckus, you were given your Victoriaâs Secret wings, and your lingerie set. It was beautiful, youâd give them that. They do end up spending and extravagant amount of money for this after all. âPhew, Iâm ready.â
There were other models lined up before you, you had been the show-stopper. Itâs flamingly obvious not to think much about yourself, but youâd give yourself credit for being one of the top models in the entire industry. You also have a whooping Instagram following, and your socials are always stacked with brand deals. Jungkook was singing Seven, a safe version. You don't want to be delusional and think he chose that song because he wrote it for you, nah, you and him are over for good. Besides, he was in a parasocial relationship with his fans. That's just not your vibe.
You exhaled, engaging your core and coming out finally. It was your turn to go in and leave the crowd in absolute awe. Your time to shine! Yeah, your time to shine. No matter how many shows you have participated in, the feeling before the runway is second to none. You stepped out, peppering flying kisses to the crowd as you passed by Jungkook, catwalking.
You didn't think the first person your eyes would meet would be Bakugou himself, it was eye contact that lasted a few seconds, as you turned around and walked back inside, coming out with the fashion designer and clapping.
"What was that Bakubro?" Red Riot was sitting beside his high school best friend, smirking when he noticed Katsuki caught red-handed. "Didn't you say you have no interest in watching models and this was a waste of time?" He snickers, pulling Katsuki's leg.
Katsuki.... on the other hand, was mesmerized. He had never seen someone so beautiful. Honestly, he wasn't one to keep up with the models and the glamour the industry had to offer. He had a simple routine, focus on training, go patrolling, partake in brand deals, and sleep by 9 pm. This seemed different, especially when the eye contact you both had was so magnetic. What the fuck was happening to him he wondered... why was he behaving like a high school student all over again. Dynamight was in his late twenties now. It's not to say that he hasn't dated people at all, he has, in fact, he has a fair share of girlfriends too. He just wasn't expecting you to latch onto his heart & rip it out of his chest (respectfully).
Maybe he dan divert his mind until after the show. The Victoria's Secret brand had dealings with the Bulgari Hotel in Milan. (Where the show was held), of course, your and Katsuki's suites would be on the same floor. The show was a huge success, you knew it the moment you walked back inside and got jump-hugged by the entire team. They loved your walk, and it made you grin like an appreciated child.
"Finally I can binge." You snickered, getting out after thirty minutes or so from the show. In your head, the eye-contact with the ruby-eyed man was nothing much, merely a coincidence perhaps. You don't know much about Bakugou Katsuki anyway. You do tell your gay best friend about it though, chuckling & giggling at how he loses his mind over it. "I think Dynamight will stay in the same hotel as mine, but before leaving, I can secure an autograph for you if you'd like."
"YOU'D DO THAT?" Samuel is on top of the world when he hears your offer. How nice and kind of you. "I could do that of course!" You smile, he has been great and helpful in calming your nerves before your show. You can do that for him without thinking twice. "Great, thank you so much Y/N! You are a literal gem." He whines, kicking feet in excitement. "Dynamight's known for being intimidating and a no-bullshit guy, so just be...careful." He smiled. You raised a brow at the description, chuckling. Whatever, it's just an autograph. You were sure Samuel was just fangirling.
You walked towards Bakugou and his friend Red Riot, wearing a plain white tee shirt and some shorts. A Prada handbag over your shoulder, Cartier bracelet set on your left arm, and some boots just so you look fine in case you get accidentally papped. "Uh oh, Hottie alert, Hottie alert. She's coming this way Bakugou." Kirishima warns, while Katsuki doesn't turn, smirking. "Maybe she's into you just as much huh?" "Shut up, Kiri. I'm not even into her." What a lie, what a damned lie, because when you tap his shoulder, his entire body shudders.
"Hey- Dynamight, hi!" You smile, watching him turn to face you. Geez, he's tall and big, the blonde doesn't make him look any less intimidating. He has a scar on his eye but it only accentuates his gruff and masculine look. You swallow, "Hey there." Katsuki raises a brow, smirking at you. "Y/N right? The fabulous show stopper." He praises, and you can't help but blush a little.
"Hehe, yeah, thank you so much." You gently tussle through your bag, taking out a notepad. "Can I please get an autograph?" You smile, you wouldn't be one of those cunts who would outrightly say that it's not for you. Why do you need to specify explicitly anyway? "Aww, she's a fan?" Katsuki grins, taking the notepad from you. "Haha!" You don't respond. You don't want to ruin the vibe of the interaction. Unlucky for you, Bakugou is a pest. "So should I write Y/N, or ShowStopper Y/N?" He smirked, uh oh... "You can make two?" You raised a brow, smiling softly. "One for me and one for Samuel, my makeup artist." You smile. "Sure can." He writes the autograph, smirking, "You didn't want an autograph did ya?" Ouch, how did he catch you red-handed so easily? "Hm? Why do you feel so?" You raise a brow, taking the notepad from him. "I'm the number one hero of Japan, Sweetheart. I got my own tricks up my sleeve." He smirked, oh what a charming guy. You wonder why is he infamous for being intimidating then... maybe just his personality and his looks. "I don't mind getting one, honestly, who knows I might become a fan in the future." You smiled back. "Oh yeah? That's gonna make me real fuckin' proud of yer taste, Sweetheart." He grins, and Kirishima has long excused Bakugou and you to chitchat alone.
You chuckled, oh my, he was cocky and yet charming enough to pull it off. Meanwhile, all Bakugou thought was how your eyes are so pretty, and you smile so easily it should be illegal. Your smile makes even the crankiest of people smile. Him included.
"Whatcha doin' after this?" He asks you, raising a brow. Please be free, please be free. "Ah- it's just, my own ritual of unwinding after fashion shows to go and binge on junk food. I am going to this amazing pizza place." You smile, and Bakugou notices your body, you are stunning, but it's clear you need to maintain unrealistic standards for this. "Mind if I join?" He confidently asks, Bakugou Katsuki's confidence ever since he was a child was sky high. He doesn't mind chasing what he wants, he doesn't mind latching on to what he wants. He doesn't mind putting in the work for what he wants. Whether it's the number one hero ranking, or his new ambition - You.
"You can." You perk up, of course, you don't mind that. You wonder if he's asking you on a date or just hanging out with you. "Alright then, let's go?" You ask him again, truth be told you were starving. You need a lot of water down your stomach and also, food. "Lead the way Kitten."
You blink at the nickname, Kitten? "Kitten?" You snorted, why? "Yeah, cus you walk the show like a little lion cub," he smirked, quite assertive behind his reasoning. It makes your heart flutter. "I, see... interesting. Is it something you do? Give people you like, nicknames?" "Yeah, it's a me thing," Katsuki smirked, he loved how you sneakily asked him whether he likes you or not. "I do that to people I hate too though." He teased, biting his lip and smirking at the confused pout. "Not you though, I like ya." He admits upfront. Katsuki doesn't want to play games. It's either he doesn't give a shit, or he's into it dedicatedly.
You gnaw at your lip, walking ahead of him, thank god your back is turned towards him. Else you'd be embarrassed of just how easily he can sway you off your feet. You and him get into the car after, driving to the nearest pizza place. Your knees touch during the car ride, fuck why are you thinking about the slightest of touches Jesus! Neither of you avoid the touch though. "So I'm guessing the pre-walk schedule is pretty ass, huh?" You like that he wants to know about you in a 'I want to get to know you better' sense and not in a 'I want to hook up and leave you after' sense. "Yeah, the last four days I have been dehydrated. I can enjoy in peace now though, before the next show." You nod, looking at him in the eyes, evaluating his expressions. Bakugou looks, conflicted. On one hand, he admires this, on the other hand, he's pissed that this is what gets imposed. He clicks his tongue, "If I were to organize a damn show I'd make sure none of the dehydration shit happens, tch." You chuckle at how intensely he feels about it. It makes you feel validated, makes you feel seen and heard. "Yeah? Maybe you can organize one for your merch." You winked.
"Fuckin' Brilliant aren'tcha?" Katsuki exclaims, grinning wide. He would, and you'd be the show stopper, and it would be a statement towards normalizing human bodies. It sounds so perfect in his head, he would definitely bother his Assistant about this later.
When you both reached the Pizza place, Bakugou gets your door, smirking when you are almost shocked by it. "What? The least ya can do is expect a Hero to be chivalrous, ye?" You giggle, holding his hand, noticing the sheer difference in your hands versus his. Your hands are soft, meek, delicate, having their own hand care routine. His hands are smooth, a little moist due to sweat which you think doesn't bother him. It doesn't bother you either honestly. Plus, he smells amazing... almost in a way that could make you dizzy from it all.
"Um, what should I call you? Dynamight? Bakugou? Katsuki? Japanese people prefer to be called by their last name until they explicitly give permission, no?" You have done a few shows in Japan and know a thing or two about their culture. Bakugou only smirks harder, holding your hand & caressing it with the pad of his thumb, he leans it up to show you. "If I'm holdin' yer hand, I'd prefer to be called Katsuki, Sweetheart." "Y-Yeah, right." You are flustered. The way he looks at you is so intense and yet calming. This man is almost paradoxical.
You both get inside, taking one of the cozy booths of the restaurant. The vibe of the place is luxurious, Grenadil, African Blackwood, lamps which are delicately hand-carved. The place speaks Old-Money.
Bakugou takes a seat next to you, handing you the laminated menu with exquisite handwritten Calligraphy, "There ya go." He smirks. You notice the menu he has given you has no prices on the dishes. He has his own menu. "Uh, they have no money imprinted, are you sure this menu is okay?" This is your first time seeing this. "Yeah, s' okay. S' cus y'er not supposed to be worrying about the price of the dishes." He says it rather assertively. "The man should." He shows his menu. Oh- Of course, for a place this extra, they would have some new ritual like this for all the trophy-wives. "Katsuki- no- I'd feel guilty." You pouted. "Yeah? Yer gonna feel guilty for it bein' my job to spoil ya? On a date? Our first date?" All of a sudden, every doubt in your mind is faded. Things were escalating so quickly yet, you feel like you know this man for years, how bizarre, how comforting, how amazing! The way your heart breaks into little palpitations of excitement is second to none.
You looked down, a hue of red creeping into your cheeks. ''Gah would ya look at that!" Bakugou points at your flustered expression instantly. "She's the prettiest baddest Queen in this world, and I got her feelin' cutesy and feminine, ye?" Yes, yes it has... it's always the little things after all. You chuckle, looking up at him, extending your hand over the table so he could hold it. "You smell amazing, Katsuki." You compliment him too.
Honestly, you have never felt someone smelling this amazing as Bakugou. "Yeah? Part of my charm." He croons in his gravelly voice, the tip of his tongue brushing his upper teeth in a mischievous grin. "S' a part of my quirk." He admits, leaning back and manspreading a little. Your heart feels like it would jump out of your chest at that, you swallow the thick lump of saliva. "Yeah?" "Yeah, that's right Sweetheart." Bakugou hums again, kissing your knuckle. "What about you, have any quirks?" "Unfortunately, nope." You chuckle, a little embarrassed. You know if this man is the number one hero of Japan, he must have a formidable quirk after all. "Aw, she's my little quirkless rarity gem ain't she?" "Yeah."
Katsuki's words were healing something within you that you didn't know was broken. You were feeling all sorts of things, slightly aghast at how easily your senses feel dizzy around the true embodiment of masculinity. A little merry on how you don't have to think about anything and let him take care of you. You needed this after the tough show you've had. You ordered a pizza, and some drinks with it. "So, what next?" You don't want to get too ahead of yourself either. Maybe all this could fade the moment you both sleep together.
"Next, we go on another date, then another, then another. In between those dates, I'll steal a kiss or two." He grins. Making you chuckle, how old school... "That's all you will steal?" You ask him, quite upfront on your own this time. "Mm~ I can't be too greedy or I might make a certain Kitten uncomfortable." He winks.
"Would I make a certain hero uncomfortable if I stole more than a kiss?" You smirk, watching Bakugou grin in surprise. "Nah, the hero wants what his Princess wants." He admits shamelessly.
The dinner goes by in a haze, Bakugou asks you about your family, how many people are there in your nuclear family, you ask him, a little bit of what and hows about starting a career. You get to know he's a Taurus, and his MBTI Type is ENTJ, his Enneagram is 8w7. No wonder he is so steadfast and determined. The dinner ended with you two getting back to go to the same hotel, walking and chit-chatting through your lives, how a daily routine in your lives looks like, favourite coffee order, favourite animals, favourite bands, favourite brands, favourite foods.... until Bakugou was in front of your suite.
"Uhm, goodnight Katsuki." You smile, getting on your tippy toes and kissing his lips softly. A burning sensation ripples through your nerves instantly. Oh no- now you can't stop. Now he can't stop. There is an unsaid desperation in the way you & him deepen the kiss, a relief washing over you as the suite's door gets unlocked with a beeping sound of your card against the sensor.
You jump on him immediately, cupping his face, scratching his undercut, rabid pants echoing through the room as you lean back to catch a breath. "Wildin' aren't we?" Bakugou smirked, leaning you against the wall with his hand supporting the back of your head as he kissed you more, fuck you have awakened something carnal within him. "Yeah- yeah-" You manage to choke on your breaths as he dives against your neck, nibbling at the supple skin, licking the tender ache. "Katsuki- please-" You want more. Especially now when you can feel his semi nudged against your heat. You want it so bad, you didn't even know him a few hours ago... and now here you were.
"Yeah? Are ya sure?" He asks, seriously. He doesn't need this to be hurried. "Yeah, I'm sure."
And that was all Bakugou needed, his lips smashing against you once more, tongue exploring your mouth, colliding against yours, his mouth wrapping around your tongue and suckling nastily. Katsuki leans back, a string of saliva connecting your lips and his. He supports you by your booty, hands kneading the area on your clothed shorts as he manspreads on the couch, watching how you straddle him. You take off your shirt on your own, and unhook your tee shirt bra next. Before you can switch to your shorts, Katsuki removes his own shirt. Oh my god-
He is jacked, and there are battle scars all over his body. Your hand leans in, absentmindedly tracing one of them. You could only imagine how dangerous it must be, how dangerous his line of work is. Everyday he keeps his life on the line to protect people like you - to protect those who can't fend for themselves. Your eyes softened, and Bakugou notices you lean into the duvet of your thoughts. "Hey, they're from years ago." He smirked, kissing your cheek. "Literal years, when I was Baby Dynamight." He chuckled, lightening up your mood instantly. He leans in, hands kneading and groping at your now perky breasts and tits. "She's fuckin' stunning god damn." He cusses under his breath, eagerly wrapping his tongue around one of the nipples, while his fingers pinched and played around with the other. The sensation sends waves of pleasure down your core, it aches so deliciously good. You lean your head back, gasping out at the welcomed assault on your body. This was beyond perfect. "Katsuki-" You mumbled, just chanting his name as he switches to the other nipple, his hand caressing your sides, knuckles caressing the temples of your cheek. "Mhm~ so perfect, Princess."
Every action only makes you dive deeper into a space you've never dived on before. His fingers skilfully unbutton your shorts next, peeling off your panties. "Let's check what's the situation." He smirks, though his ruby eyes are steeled on your face. Massive hands cupping your bare pussy, you can feel your essence coat his palm, but you're not shy anymore. You want him to know he does this to you. You want him to be aware of the effect he has on you. "Fuckin' soaking." He smirked, middle finger and ring finger parting your entrance while his middle finger nudged against your tight hole. The tip pierces inside your pussy almost instantly. "Oh perfect little thing." He snickers, curling it just the right way to make your eyes roll back. "Yeah baby, keep makin' that pretty face f'me." He groans, leaning in and latching onto your sensitive tits again. "Not sorry bout it in the least, need to mark ya." He groans, suckling against your skin, marking your breasts in hickeys while he drills his finger inside your cunt. The pleasure has you reeling soon, eyes rolling back. "Katsuki- please-" you buck your hips against him helplessly, pussy twitching and fluttering shamelessly. "Yeah baby? Gonna cum?" He croons, smirking at the way your body gets littered in goosebumps. "Mhm~ Yeah." You nodded like a bobble head, the pleasure reaching new heights. "Gonna make a mess on Daddy's fingers?" he asks again, almost edging you. The new nickname has you clamping tightly as a reaction, Bakugou chuckles. "Then cum."
Your entire body shivers at the assault, his thumb finding it's way to your clit, rubbing in rhythmic circles around the bundle of nerves, watching you tweak and tremble. "Atta girl! Good job little one." He smirked, quickly changing your position to laying on the couch with him hovering over you. His hand never leaves your clit, pulling out a long and tiring orgasm as his massive cock greets you. Before you could say anything before you could protest in whines that his massive, veiny cock could never fit inside you. It could break you- his cock fills you up instantly.
You see white, your senses are torn apart. The pain surges through your body like venom, filled with excruciating amounts of pleasure. You scream out, cunt almost ripped open despite being so wet and so lubed. "Kah- AH- t'suki-" You are broken, this is exactly how you expected it to feel like. Still, you want him to move, you want him to make you feel better. You want him to show you how it feels when he's pistoning this inside and out, when he's ruining your insides his shape.
Bakugou leans in, caressing your face and peppering it with soft kisses. "Yeah Princess, you did it." He praises, and you couldn't help but rut your hips against him at the praise. You need him. "Uh huh? Wan' Daddy to take care of you?" He smirked at that, relishing your shameless movements, his cock jams against your pussy, fervour akin to an animal in a rut. You feel so good he can't help but want more either, thrusts powerful enough to cause your breasts to jiggle from the impact. "Atta girl, look at you, taking me like yer made for me." he groans, watching your fucked out expressions, listening to your melodious cries that only make him push you further. "Kah- Mm!"
His hand caresses your clit, pinching at the sensitive bundle of nerves, tap-slapping it, caressing it, playing with it. Every movement sends you reeling towards the peak of pleasure. It's not too long before you feel like cumming again, a familiar knot building in your pelvis, eager to snap. "Gonna fill ya up, yeah? Need your insides to know who knocked em up' need yer pussy to know who fucked her up, who stretched her up, who ripped her up to his shape-" The way he speaks is making you spiral, your mouth falls agape as another orgasm tears through you. Helplessly wailing and letting your pussy flutter around his muscular and veiny cock. His own release comes with it, hot and thick seed painting your insides his.
You're panting like you've just run a marathon, Bakugou's sweat only making your senses hazy with its sweet, caramel scent.
"Got one more in ya?" Bakugou asks with a smirk, watching your eyes widen. You are thinking, you are contemplating. "N-never did it before." You answered honestly. "Good, then it's my princess' first time." He smirked, manhandling you to bend over the couch's arm rest, letting your legs nudge together. "Get on yer tippy toes Kitten." he kneads at your ass, spanking it once just to test the waters.
The whore-ish moan that comes out of your mouth at that only makes him more amazed. "She likes spankings huh?" He smirks, slapping on the other side and watching his hand print cover almost your whole ass cheek. "Fuck-" He hissed at the sight, watching you get on your tippy toes as he pierces your cum-dripping pussy once again. Your stomach is already pressed by the arm-rest. The position is enough to make you see stars, you can't form words. Just mewling and moaning with mouth open. His thrusts are a lot precise, a lot sharper, a lot more calculated and a lot more rough.
The force of his pelvis colliding against your ass feels like spankings in itself, your womb is crying at the feeling, your cunt squelching and making lewd noises that echo like music to his ears, just perfectly entwined with your loud moans. "Fuck- you are bloody gonna have me addicted to this shit." He groans, sounds of pap- pap- paps filling the room.
You feel weird, you feel like you could pee from the pressure alone. "Katsuki- feel like gonna squirt." You whine, embarrassed. "Aw, it's okay, do it." He hums, hand wrapping around your hair and tilting your head back for a passionate kiss.
And so you let go, you don't have any choice anyway with his thrusts ripping your pussy. "Fuck- fuck-" and so you end up squirting, the liquid dripping down your thighs as you cum your brains out. Katsuki tips off the edge at the sight too, oh what a lovely mess indeed. "Oh that's fuckin' incredible" He chuckles, slowing his thrusts to a stop.
You are floating in subspace already. You can't believe the hero you were going to stalk on Instagram has your insides bred, twice. Katsuki carries you princess-way and takes you to the bedroom, "gonna get ya some water, you were so amazin' holy shit Princess." he chuckles, peppering your face with soft, feather-like kisses. You only hum and groan in response, he literally fucked your brain into mush.
He returned with some water and added electrolytes that he found in the fridge to ensure better hydration. "Come on, champ, c'mere." He cradles you on his lap like a baby - his baby to be precise. He held the glass for you, letting you drink from the straw while his other hand is busy petting your body soothingly, your arms, your hair, your back.
"Do you want to sign an NDA? If we're gonna be a thing?" You asked him, genuinely curious, but it upsets him that this is the first thing that you say. This industry really is disgusting. "Nah, I'd like you to sign an NBA."
You raised a brow, what does that mean? "Mm?"
"Non-Breakup Agreement" He chuckled, watching you giggle too as he leaned in and kissed your lips.

Rafe x Girl next door type/Sweet!Pouge Reader: He sees her at a party and he sets his eyes on her, wanting to hook up with her for the night and ditch her the next day. He gets surprised thought when he actually talks to her, how kind, sweet and genuine she is # and to also find out that she is the relationship girlfriend type that would never have sex with someone random # but does not end it right there with him then trying to find someone else for the night but actually find himself drawn to her and wanting to take care of her/protect her and offers to drive her home (and whatever else you can think of, just a suggestion)
lamy's notes: i hope you like it, angel!
the party is in full swing, neon lights flickering against the walls, bodies packed tight with the heady scent of sweat and liquor thick in the air. rafe cameron leans against the kitchen counter, a red solo cup dangling from his fingers, half-full of something heâd stopped tasting an hour ago. his sharp blue eyes scan the crowd, predatory, practiced, already picking out his next conquest.
then he sees you.
it isnât like the other girls he usually finds himself entangled with. no plunging neckline, no practiced sultry gaze or desperate attempt to get his attention. youâre differentâsweet-looking, soft around the edges, the kind of girl who smiles at people like she means it. the kind of girl who doesnât belong here.
and fuck, does that make him want you more.
youâre laughing, head tilted back just slightly, talking to a couple of your friends who donât seem nearly as enthralled by you as they should be. you arenât drinking, he notices. just standing there with some soda in your hand, cheeks flushed but not from alcohol. from joy. genuine, untainted joy.
rafe smirks. this will be easy. the sweet ones always melt in his hands, naive enough to believe whatever story he spins, desperate for that kind of attention from someone like him. he pushes off the counter and makes his way toward you, predatory confidence in every step.
âdidnât peg you as the party type,â he murmurs, sliding in beside you. your head turns, and when those warm, wide eyes meet his, something in his stomach twists.
you smile. actually smile at him. no coyness, no pretense. just a simple, friendly, fucking devastating smile. âyeah, i guess iâm not,â you admit, a little sheepish. âbut my friends wanted to come, so here i am.â
rafe arches a brow. âand youâre not drinking?â
you shake your head. ânot really my thing.â
his usual lines, the easy teases and flirtations, catch in his throat. thereâs nothing to latch onto here, no feigned innocence waiting to be shattered. justâŚyou. real. unaffected. completely unlike anyone else in this house.
ânot your thing, huh?â he echoes, tilting his head. âso what is?â
you give a small shrug, your fingers curling around your soda cup, you begin to ramble about random things. âi donât know. movie nights, bonfires on the beach, making pancakes at midnight just because. you know, wholesome stuff.â
wholesome.
jesus christ.
rafe hasnât felt this off-kilter in years. he came here tonight looking for a quick fuck, someone to drag upstairs and forget about the next morning. and yet, here he is, utterly hooked on you talking about making pancakes at midnight.
âyouâre not from around here, are you?â
you laugh, light and warm. âborn and raised.â
âhuh.â he studies you, trying to pinpoint exactly what makes you so different. maybe itâs the way you look at him, not like heâs some trophy to be won or some cautionary tale to be avoided, but justâŚlike a person.
he doesnât know what to do with that.
âso,â he tries again, leaning in slightly. âif youâre not into parties, whatâs keeping you here?â
you tilt your head, studying him right back. âgood company, i guess.â
rafe isnât used to being caught off guard. isnât used to having the script flipped on him like this. but instead of pissing him off, it just makes him more intrigued.
for a split second, he thinks about cutting his losses, about finding someone else whoâd be easier, who wouldnât make his chest feel tight in a way that has nothing to do with lust. but the thought of walking away from you right now?
doesnât sit right.
âlet me drive you home,â the words are out before he even realizes heâs said them.
your brows lift slightly, surprised but not suspicious. âyou sure? i wouldnât want to take you away from the party.â
he smirks. âbelieve me, sweetheart, nothing hereâs worth sticking around for.â
you hesitate for a moment, then nod. âalright. thatâd be nice.â
rafe has never been interested in nice before. nice doesnât get you anywhere. nice is weak. but as you walk beside him out of the house, trusting him in a way he knows he hasnât earned, he thinksâ
maybe nice isnât so bad.
