My friend caught on that my special interest character rants have shifted to new characters recently.

I had to inform them that I was indeed cursed by a mutual with a new chronic hyperfixation.

I’ve been trying to sit down and really think why Alice by Heart Cheshire didn’t make an impression on me because on paper I should at least like him. It’s an adaptation that does its own plot that acknowledges that he is Alice’s friend and cares for her. Not only that but they don’t make him a bootlicker which is scarely common.

So overall when going to watch the show, I thought that would at least like him and think that he was a good version of Cheshire. But I didn’t. He isn’t bad, trust me I’ve seen way worse in my time of watching AIW adaptations.

But if someone were to ask me to recommend versions of Cheshire, it would take a LOT for me to recommend this version.

And I think maybe is that even tho he seems to be important, he doesn’t really do much. The show itself doesn’t do much with Cheshire and barely even engaged with him other than his big major scene.

Like they have his irl counterpart be homeless but they don’t really do anything with that concept. It doesn’t factor in to why Cheshire is the one to sing to Alice about how she has to learn to let go of Alfred and come to terms that he’s dying. Not having a home and losing a loved one are two very different situations that garner different emotions.

And the decision to make Tabatha homeless doesn’t really make sense because Cheshire isn’t homeless in the book. He’s very explicitly the Duchess’ cat and very much lives in the same house as her. He’s literally included in the illustration where the Duchess is nursing her baby and the Cook is making her soup. He’s very much there and Alice asks about him to the Duchess.

This wouldn’t be so bad if the Duchess wasn’t included therefore rendering him homeless but the Duchess IS THERE. She has a whole scene with Alice and she’s seen at the trial, and not once do her or Cheshire ever acknowledge each other in the slightest.

I don’t mind Cheshire not having a Duchess. Most Cheshires who I consider good don’t have them. But it does peeve me off because in my opinion, Alice by Heart really needed to acknowledge that fact.

Why DOES Cheshire sing Alice Some Things Fall Away. Cheshire isn’t wise as a character. He is helpful or tries to be at least. But he isn’t a character that you can tell any problem to and they’ll be able to give sound advice. Cheshire isn’t omniscient nor does he claim to know everything. So them just making him sing this for no particular reason makes no sense to me. It feels a little lazy like he only sings it cause he was the first person there.

This song should be emotional. This song should’ve made me all full in my emotions cause that’s usually how I am with Cheshire and Alice but because there isn’t any meaningful connection between the song and him, then the moment falls flat for me. I feel nothing listening to it.

And this is where acknowledging the Duchess when it comes to Cheshire would be useful. The Duchess in the book has a baby. They reference it in show with her calling Alice her pig. And while this isn’t smth said explicitly, I do think that to some degree Cheshire makes himself responsible for the baby. The reason why he goes outside is because Alice takes the baby with her and in their last moments, their conversation is centered around where the baby went and what it turned into. And he leaves the scene to find said baby. And I really think they should have done smth with the concept of Cheshire being somewhat responsible for the pig baby with Tabatha.

Tabatha could have been an older brother to his baby sibling in which he lost due to war. So now Cheshire would have some reasoning to sing Some Things Fall Away because Tabatha knows what it’s like to lose a close loved one. Tabatha knows how hard it is to come to terms when someone like that is no longer in your life, that you’ll never get to talk them again, never laugh with them again. But ultimately that stuff like that is out of their control and the only thing to really do is to just come to terms with it. That, at least to me, would make that song much more impactful.

I also think there’s smth missing in the performance that I don’t really know. How the actress played him didn’t really scream Cheshire to me but idk what specifically.

My brain has this thing where if I don’t like or care for the Cheshire, I will not be interested in the adaptation. Which is like one of two reasons why I probably didn’t like Alice by Heart as much as I thought I would. Just

I find that a bit contradictory... and also Miku has no canonical age which they I think acknowledge. It is 12:30 in October 28th, and I just finished watching the fnaf movie and, as routine, I feel an urge to infodump :)

SPOILERS FOR FNAF MOVIE UNDER CUT!!!! Everyone who also watched it remember to correctly tag so that ppl can block it!!!

Really recommend to watch first cause it was nice to watch :) even if not PEAK storytelling IMO IMO IN MY FIRST IMPRESSION OPINION DONT JUMP ME

Ok so it was odd??? A lot of the lore kinda got messed up in translation, but I can’t help but feel so grateful anyways???

Ngl I would’ve probs shit on the movie if it wasn’t for my friend who, in a convo, mentioned how sad he was that everyone hated the red eyes cause “we’ve been waiting so long, why does it matter they got red eyes?”

Bc of this I gave it a shot, and it was not bad.

I was scared of how it’d turn out just bc the fnaf lore is SO much that even SCOTT HIMSELF doesn’t know where we at, but for the amount of info they were dealing with, they decided to kinda maneuver in their own iteration of it (imo) which wasn’t completely hate-able and I think it was a pretty good course of action

I was bummed when it didn’t close out w the scene where the animatronic heads where no longer have a light behind them (meaning they’ve moved on) I honestly think it would’ve been such a COOL way to close it out but I was not the producer and maybe they plan to continue it??? What Do I Tell My Friends?

Part one of a little yandere shinsou x reader fic I felt like doing! Ngl, it kinda hurt to do my man dirty like this but shinsou as a degenerate yandere is just....👌🤌 ya know ya know

I tried to make this obvious, but Shinsou and Reader are college age here.

I was originally going to post the entire thing, but I got wayy too ahead of myself here ksbsjdvd.

Since when did it become so hard to love Shinsou Hitoshi? Were you were meant to crumble and fall into his hands, subservient and malleable to his unseen desires? Maybe your fate had been cursed. Did you do something wrong in a past life?

You fell so easily into his arms, you could almost justify it as fate. He said you were meant to fall, all broken and desperate and clinging to his love. The same way he fell for you.

It had all started in a convenient accident. Your time, your glances, then your morning coffee was stolen; all by his convenient little accident.

It started out as an innocent mistake you wouldn't usually be so forgiving to. Your Tuesday morning coffee always gets you through the day so much easier after all. Still...Hitoshi, who came into your life as the guy who took your order instead of his was cute-and his impossibly strong coffee did you just fine for the day. Maybe that was it- a convenient, unfortunate accident.

Only it was never destined to be just that. What started as an accident on a gloomy Tuesday morning grew so fast-you were so innocent to what your new found friend had in store for you. Naive to the sick obsession unravelling before your eyes.

That fateful day, you kept getting reminded of the handsome, polite man. Purple blurred your vision on the way back to the office, then again on your way home. You were either seeing things, or that had been the third time you'd seen his lavender hair today. Maybe you were in need of an early night tonight.

Maybe you were over-reacting. The mornings events had put a rosey tint to the rest of your terribly busy day, that was all. There was no way your routes were this coordinated all of a sudden, right? You convinced yourself at the time you were seeing things. Laughed about it to your coworker, as they told you to give dating a second chance if you were fantasising over the first cute person who gave you attention.

The next day, he was at the coffee shop the same time, just about to exit. He insisted on paying you back for yesterday's mishap, even as you reassured him it was fine. You didn't even need to tell him your order- he knew it exactly from yesterday. He really was planning on seeing you again, huh.

So you decided to chat with the man while you both waited for your order to be made, and then some more before you went your separate ways. Shinsou was in university; yet he preferred to take late night classes and take the early morning shifts at his part time job.

"No wonder your coffee is so strong. I don't know how you do it! That takes some crazy dedication," That managed a ghost of a smile from him.

"Heh, thanks. I guess that means I'll see you tomorrow morning to?" He rubbed his hand over the back of his neck, and you beamed. You were hoping he'd say something like that; you were eager to know more about this attractive stranger.

"Of course!"

After that first week, he started showing up in your life more and more. It seems as though you both had a similar schedule, bumping into each other on your weekend jogs as well as your morning coffee runs. Then at the movie theatre that was airing your favourite show; coincidently, it was his too. Before you knew it, you were seeing Shinsou almost every week. Maybe you'd been too wrapped up in your intrigue to notice, but he was slowly covering all aspects of your life.

Your intrigue had turned to curiosity. And the more he crept into your life, the less you could help yourself. The more time you spent with Shinsou, the more you needed to crack open his mysterious, private shell. You liked all the same shows, enjoyed the same hobbies, even your values seemingly aligned. So why did it still feel like you were running a marathon trying to figure him out? Why did you get the strangest feeling he was already doing laps around you?

It wasn't just what you knew about him, either. He hardly introduced you to many of his friends and colleagues-you didn't even know if he had friends outside of you. And yet, he had seemingly made it his mission to know your own social circle like the back of his hand. Maybe he was bad at making friends? Protective of his new found friend? You let him tag along with your friends so they could get to know each other, but he never really made an effort to befriend them.

He would tell you it was because he didn't feel the need to be around anyone else, that you were enough for him. He laughed when you asked if he had many friends, and waved off your concerns. "A few. None like you, though," That earned him a blush. If he was treating you differently, maybe you should do the same. You started prioritising his time over your friends, much to their chagrin.

When you look back to the way he confessed to you, you wished you picked up on the signs then and there. He was an all consuming force in your life before; and yet, this was the complete opposite.

As if he was a ghost of your imagination, Hitoshi Shinsou had all but disappeared from your life. Not only had he not replied to your texts or calls, he was nowhere to be found in your routine, either.

You kept your eyes peeled for his familiar figure on your morning runs.

You swallowed your pride and asked the barista if they'd seen the lavender haired man at all; they offered you a sympathetic smile and shook their head.

You even took walks around the building where he claimed to work at, hoping to catch a glance of the man. It was to no avail; your efforts were all in vain. He slotted himself into your life so easily, only to slip out of your grasp just as quickly.

It hurt to have been so invested in him, the man that showed up out of nowhere and all but swept you off your feet, all to have it cut off so suddenly. Like vertigo, you stumbled through the rest of the week in a whiplash.

So when he came to you that Friday night, you were hesitant. If the guilt ridden look on his face was anything to go by, he was ready to apologise. Well, good. You were ready for an explanation.

He was seemingly ready for you to slam the door right in his face, and the look of shock on his face made your heart pang with guilt. He did say he didn't have many friends. Maybe he was simply busy? But, the way he went about ghosting you for an entire week hurt...well, he would explain for himself. The two of you could work things out, you were sure of it.

He was sorry. He didn't mean to distance himself so fast, so coldly. He only gave you one excuse.

"I guess you could say I got cold feet," he sheepishly excused.

"In truth...I was debating whether you'd accept me as something more than just friends," And you thought the past week had uprooted you. You blinked, and his sheepish, hopeful face (that was frustratinginly attractive even when you were mad at him) dropped.

"I mean, I really haven't gone about this the right way, have I? And for that, I'm sorry. I promise, I won't leave you in the dark like that again. But, if you'd hear me out for a moment..." That smile again...it really was going to be the death of you. With a nod, you sealed your fate that night.

At least he didn't try and buy your forgiveness with some expensive chocolates.

It was your second mistake to take his possessiveness as passion.

Darling as Hitoshi was when it was just the two of you, you found your new lover to have quite the jealous streak. Gentle teasing from your friends turned into back handed comments whenever Shinsou insisted to invite himself to your friends hangouts.

"Great, here comes the guard dog," You were almost afraid he would actually start growling at the next stranger who offered you a smile or wink as they passed you by.

You took your friends advice, and attempted to reassure him- for him to place more trust in your friends. Maybe they were occasionally late or flakey, but it didn't warrant such policing behaviour from him. If there was a problem, you could deal with it yourself. You didn't need to distance yourself from your friends any more than you already were.

It's like he thinks your some child who can't even tie their own shoes! The comment, from your friends last argument sparked something in you. It sat in the back of your mind and haunted you for weeks before you decided to confront Shinsou on his behaviour.

This only proved to make him more distressed. He started pointing fingers-who said that? What was her name, again? Wasn't she the one who left you all alone at that bar for some guy? You tried to tune him out, only to have those fingers turn to you.

Why were you defending all of your so called friends anyways? He'd given you all the facts, why couldn't you see they were clearly not deserving of your time like he was? They didn't see you like he did. Couldn't care for you, like he could. He gives you his everything, always; so why were you making him out to be the villian?

Perhaps you were too naive to call him an enigma. You weren't ready to admit it to yourself, but your friends were right. The tight leash he held on you wasn't passion-it was possession. His interrogations and guilting were never just trust issues, and a part of you knew it. Perhaps it was nothing but a pathetic, pitiful excuse on your end.

You had realised that you were in too deep a moment too late. If only you'd acted on it more sooner; Hitoshi Shinsou would remain the unsolvable enigma you wished you could have the resolve to unravel.

If only you weren't so stubborn to see it through.

"You're trying to defend them again, aren't you?"  He asked as you were one foot out the door of your shared apartment. This time he caught you sneaking out to see your friends. You felt like some rebellious teen acting out against their parents.

Like a kid who can't tie their own shoes.

You turned, frowned, and opened your mouth to deny his allegations as you always would. To reassure him that you love him, and understand his concern. To reiterate loving you didn't mean keeping you to himself in your shared apartment like a bird in a cage. These four walls sure were starting to feel like one.

Maybe you should've listened to the rumours you all but ignored. The ones that told you to never answer his questions.

When you first woke up, you had no knowledge of the past few hours-nothing, except Shinsou's shaking arms around you as his sobs muffled the apologies and pleas tumbling out of his lips. You tensed in his hold.

You wanted to glare icicles into his sunken, crumpled form. To scream and yell and curse at him for breaking your trust in such a way.

Even still...you couldn't. You couldn't bring yourself to hold your boundaries strong. To see your composed, mysterious, private boyfriend- before you, all frazzled, open and vulnerable.

It was a vulnerability you had never seen-yet always craved from him. Finally, you had unravelled his mystery. Under it all, he really was just a lovely, lonely boy with a unfair, cruel fate. He was clearly distraught with what he had done to you. Now wasn't the time for your pain. You had to stop yourself from lashing out for your own selfish reasons. You'd have a talk with him tomorrow, you promised.

This was your Hitoshi, you reasoned as he cried in your arms. He didn't have anyone else who trusted him like you did. He had closed himself off from everyone, because they didn't trust him- and neither did he, you realised as he clung to you and begged you not to leave him through his broken sobs. He didn't deserve to have you leave him. Not over one little mistake.

While you soothed his cries, you imagined everything to be better. Yeah, things would turn out fine. He would make it up to you and let you see your friends, and you could move to helping him trust more. To be a little less possessive, and a little more friendly. To not see you as the only light in his life.

Only, he never gave any indication to changing his mind before. Everyone else was always too kind to be trusted, or not doing enough. He could better spend his time with you, because you was perfect. Perfect when you were next to him.

You weren't naive enough to believe he would be the only person you'd need in your life. But you looked down at your boyfriends doubtful, teary eyed face. Poor, broken, vulnerable Hitoshi.

You'd tell your friends you were sick this time round and couldn't make it. Your time was better spent with him, anyways.

Next time, you promised, he'd be more accepting. He'd learn to trust others again. Just like you'd learn to trust him all over.

And as much as you tried to reassure yourself, a voice in your head spoke venom into your ear.

This won't be the last time he breaks your trust, it whispered.

"A bit of passion and possessiveness never hurt anyone, right?"

He gave you the first weak smile you'd seen from him all night, and you relaxed your face as much as you could. He didn't have to know you weren't talking to him.

He promised he'd never do it again. He couldn't-wouldn't. So you forgave him that day. But that little voice in your head weighed heavy in your heart-you knew, deep down, that you didn't believe him one bit.

It was time to start un-muting all of your friends notifications. You would text them more freely-baby steps. The thought warmed your smile into a genuine one.

Tag 9 People you want to get to know better

I was tagged by @momo-t-daye and I need to do smth instead of working, so...

Three ships. Right now my #1 is Snack. The parralelism of their fates and lives, the amount of void in the backstories you can fill in without diverging from canon too much, the unbearable depressive finales (and how, if you add their relationship there, these finales become WORSE, so people just go and create incredible AUs where these two miserable men are somehow happy with each other). Enough basis to work with, but also enough freedom for thought. This ship is also kind of a challenge, because making them a couple is a struggle, but it's extremely interesting to think of a plausible way to make it all work. If we talk about HP, I kinda like other stuff, but far from the Snack’s level? Though non-romantic friendship/familial ships like Snily or Severitus sound interesting. I've been in HP fandom for a pretty short time, so I'm still figuring out what I like and don't like and what I think about certain things and relationships. If we talk multifandom, I kind of wanted to have this blog as a fresh start, so I don't really want to talk about my other recent fandoms, sorry!

First ship. If we talk about HP, first one would be Snarry, but I was like 12 or 13 when I liked it, many years passed, I’m a very different person now and just don't see it anymore. If we talk multifandom here, there was this oldass 2000s show Dark Oracle and I shipped Omen/Kelly hard, lol. But what made me join fandom spaces and become actually active is Kaname/Zero from Vampire Knight.

Last Song. I'm kind of melomaniac and I either listen to hundreds of songs a day or one on repeat for a week. Unfortunately, right now I'm in the phase one, so no “I’m obsessed with this one” level of recommendation for you, but my last one today was How Soon Is Now? by The Smiths. Still in awe of the situation that I was just creating 80s Snape's playlist, but got viciously attacked by Charmed flashbacks. I’ve never heard original version of this song before and thought of this melody as just Charmed opening song, I had no idea.

Last Movie. I actually watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets with my friends last weekend, we are in process of watching/rewatching the whole series right now. Not gonna lie, it's a very different experience now when I'm an adult than what it was when I was a child or even a teen. A lot of things seem silly now, while other things seem more interesting and important. Tom’s still hot though. Not my type, but not gonna lie here.  I also watched A Ghost Story with Rooney Mara and a bunch of other movies before that while trying to create my fancast for a video about Severus' family and find fitting video material, and this movie was a very interesting experience for me. Made me feel small and weirdly nostalgic, but also calm about it? Love this feeling that indie movies often give off, they simultaniously get under your skin and feel like a warm blanket. The video is still in process, btw, I just decided to work on it on holidays when I have proper free time, my software is kinda buggy so the process itself is too irritating to spend on it the bits of free time I have now, but I love where it's going. And yeah, I see Rooney Mara as Eileen, she has this look in her eyes — frightened, hollow and piercing which I haven't seen anywhere else. She's also really great at playing kinda detached working class characters, which is a must, I think.

Currently Reading. I've just read two printed volumes of Lore Olympus. Can't say that I became a fan. The artstyle is fun, but the story didn't seem to me as unique as people say. Maybe it gets better, but I judge from what I have right now. Honestly, I have books all over my room that I want to read, but lately I read only comics and fanfiction, I'm too overworked for anything serious and my imagination is more active for creation than perception these days.

Currently Watching. As I said, we are in process of rewatching all HP movies with my friends, and that's basically all. I plan to watch del Toro's Nightmare Alley though, someone recommened it to me long time ago.

Currently Drinking. Coffee. The only thing that keeps me awake and sane lately.

Currently Craving. Sleep.

This is such a cute idea! I’m addicted to making weirdly specific Spotify playlists so this is perfect. I have an ✨eclectic✨ music taste but my favorites are usually bedroom pop (mxmtoon, chloe moriondo, khai dreams, etc), romantic classical (think Debussy and Revel), and indie (although I like some Megan Thee Stallion, AC/DC, Nirvana, etc when I’m hyping myself up). As far as my personality goes, I’m pretty insightful and like to support people whenever I can, even if I don’t know them well. I can be a little chaotic sometimes, but I like to think it’s a chaotic good. I love tea, blankets, philosophy, deep conversations, the outdoors, and writing. I’m also an INFP and a Taurus :)

EXCELLENT q Ari omg ����🏽💖💕 honestly I don’t go around seeking things based on trope (most of the time anyway) so I can’t really name any specific enemy to lover stuff I adore and recommend off the top of my head but the manhua Song of the Long March? Is stunning and one of the best examples of.. maybe not enemies so much as adversaries to lovers I’ve ever seen, and the only reason my rec is not wholehearted is that it’s been on hiatus for years and my heart hurts each time I remember 😭 (It pauses at a decent stopping point especially in terms of romantic development, so I urge anyone interested to read what exists of it! It went on hiatus because the illustrator-author was being taken advantage of by her publishing company or smth along those lines I think, I’m fuzzy on the details) it’s got one of those main couples where they’re just as fun to read about as individuals, instead of those couples where you’re like “I only like you because your relationship is stellar, on your own you’re kind of meh” whdjehhdh lots of political intrigue and whatnot if that appeals to you!

As for enemies to lovers in general... I honestly feel most things cited as examples of that trope are frustratingly tepid and tame ahsjwjs and I wish sometimes that it wasn’t a label ppl were so obsessed with using for that reason! whichhh makes me feel like edgy but it’s true imo! Who is your favorite character in 2? I love the Tardis, I hope Sexy counts as a character but if she doesn’t then Rose Tyler.

Who is your least favorite character in 1? In the last season I remember how much I hated P.T. Westmoreland and Ferdinand Chevalier, the generic villains basically.  

What is your favorite episode of 4? I still haven’t finished this show but I think my favourite episode was the seventh episode of season 1 titled  “eps1.6_v1ew-s0urce.flv” .I really liked the Shayla flashback in the beginning of that episode, I miss her so much,still it was really sweet. When I finish the series I might pick another episode but we’ll have to wait and see.

I binge watched the first 3 seasons in 2015 I think and then I watched each season as it aired(not really but at least I tried to watch them as soon as I could, I usually waited for the whole season to air and binge watched it but not always, the last season was hell for me, because I was so invested and I couldn’t wait, but still it was worth it) 

How did you become interested in 3? One of my teacher’s recommended the book and I read it in one night, the next thing I knew I wanted more so I binge watched the first 2 seasons (I think there were only two at the time)

Who is your favorite actor in 4? I love Rami Malek so much

Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5? All of them are special and important to me,don’t make me pick, 1 was the first show I watched because tumblr wouldn’t shut up about it and I was so happy to be a part of the fandom(I was a fan all of my teenage life), 2 is a show I love to watch with my dad(and mom sometimes, she falls asleep halfway through almost everytime, but David Tennant’s Ten was her fave Doctor, so I guess she wasn’t so sleepy when he was on screen) and 5 is a show I watched with my mom and I really loved the mystery kinda vibe it gave(I’m also a Marvel nerd so yeah)

Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? Kinda, because the world from The Handmaid’s Tale is fucked up and Mr.Robot wants to help the world in his own way, maybe he could hack Gilead or smth idk man, still it would be cool to watch

Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5? I guess 3 is a bit more consistent, but I like 5 with all it’s flaws

tell me the first song that made you stan your current fave group and why did your faves attract you so much?

ok SO the song that probably got me into rv 100% (also yes ik this blog is 99% nct but rv is my forever fave no question) was probably ice cream cake!! i had been a casual listener of many groups up until that point and had never really stanned anyone, but icc was so infectious i found myself watching it over and over. i had heard happiness and be natural before but hadn’t really listened too closely, so icc was the song that captured me. after that, dumb dumb only cemented my love for them more, and the red is still one of my favorite kpop albums to date. rv attracted me primarily because of their incredible vocals and their versatility in genres and concepts. i still get so excited wondering what they’ll tackle next!! they’re just soooo unique and have one of, if not the best discographies of any group. i cannot stress enough, I. Love. RV!! also they’re funny and gay so. anyway stream monster once it drops uwu

1. what is your favorite song that’s been released during quarantine? ooooo honestly??? probably something off of Sawayama. literally every song bangs so hard i highly recommend that album to anyone!! i can’t pick a favorite off it but who’s gonna save you now is awesome and xs is just,,, chef’s kiss

2. what is your greatest mishap when you tried cooking? (or something you’ve witnessed) one time, while making soup at my late grandmother’s house on her like gas stove, i put a lid on a pot and somehow that led the pot to be engulfed in flames. IN MY DEFENSE i was like 7, and i’m great at cooking/baking now

3. what’s your go-to outfit or article of clothing? oh i love a nice dress. they can be casual or formal, and you look like you put effort into your outfit except i didn’t because i didn’t have to match anything yo!!!! also shorts have trouble fitting me cause i’m a weird body type so dresses tend to be very comfy for me

4. what is your comfort food? am i allowed to say like all food??? eating in itself is comforting,,, that sounds depressing but also i just like eating yummy food. i guess i’d say like my dad’s fried rice?? its my fave and no one makes it like him soooo

5. what singular moment in your life would you like to relive? i couldn’t tell if this meant like, a good moment you want to re-experience or go back in time and redo a moment and fix it. it’s kind of a hard question so i might cop out and go with a bit of a silly answer: i want to relive the hi touch with astro...... i wanna look at rocky’s beautiful eyes and touch moonbin’s hand ok,,,,

6. what is your favorite line and/or character from a movie, show, or book? i got a bunch but a few off the top of my head are genie lo (the epic crush of genie lo), ty lee, suki (atla), klaus, and ben (umbrella academy) 

7. if you could only choose one ice cream flavor and pizza topping/style for the rest of your life, what would it be? ice cream flavor: this very specific one from a local store that is banana ice cream with strawberries and oreo mixed in. it is heaaaavenly. as for pizza topping, i love a breakfast type pizza with an egg on top and like sausage and stuff!!!

8. what is the worst injury you’ve ever had or witnessed? funny enough, i’ve actually gotten badly injured quite a few times, and always on the face!! god hates me. the worst was probably when i hit a metal bench with my face and it took a chunk out of my cheek. i still have the scar! as for “witnessed” i accidentally broke a grown man’s rib once as a child, so i guess that would count.

9. would you rather explore the unknown of space or the bottom of the ocean? oceaaaan!! i answered this in some other game, but i like how mysterious and yet close the ocean is. like proximity wise it’s so near, yet there’s an insane amount we know nothing about. that’s so frightening but so intriguing

Oh! Are we in bugsnax mode? I can do bugsnax. %100 the game after all. Secret bugsnack was really hard to get but I have tips! I love the traumatized Muppet club. Tag yourself. Aww ur so sweet! Ur lurker feels very appreciated rn 🥰. Unfortunately life is interfering with my true purpose (watching bl and bugging u with my opinions). But I am on epi 8 of my engineer, so u gotta start telling me what to watch next.

I def love stuff that’s domestic, and with older characters (if possible), oh and maybe from Korea??? We haven’t hit Korea yet. Give me some gay k drama!

but oof, you’re asking something hard there. Korea didn’t really start joining the mainstream bl world until, well. this year. And as far as I know there’s currently 2 finished series and one that just started, and all of these are very short and about students. 

I still do recommend both Where Your Eyes Linger and Mr Heart, they’re both very cute (and also angsty) in their own way, but because they’re Korean shows the production value is top notch. No weird microphone problems or offputting sound effects here, just beautiful camerawork and amazing ost’s. WYEL definitely has a lot of very domestic moments too, so that’s good (though there’s also violence.) 

Also this is interesting to probably no one else but Jaejoong did a song for Mr Heart’s OST and I recognized his voice and went ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! OH MY GOD.

Anyway.

Older characters and domestic stories are harder to find since, let’s be real, mainstream BL is targeted at young straight women so most stories tend to be about high school or university students. The BL world as a whole has done a lot of growing up this year though, and there are some new series coming up about older characters, but we’ll all have to be patient for a little while longer. 

So here’s some of the only ones I can think of right now that you haven’t already seen: 

-Life ~love on the line~  (senjou no bokura): a Japanese BL with only like, idk, 6 episodes or smth? It does get very angsty, and boy did I want to go over there to slap some sense into Some People, but I promise there’s a happy gay ending

-Barista/Condo/Architect: a Thai GL (!) about an architect who has some uh, very noisy neighbours, and to focus goes to a new cafe, which is run by a very cute girl. Some drama happens, BUT there are plants and midnight coffees and also Tul Pakorn is a coworker?? I love it. It’s only like 2 episodes too iirc. 

-What Did You Eat Yesterday? : I haven’t actually seen this one, but I do know it’s a Japanese BL about a middle-aged gay couple. That’s it that’s all I know. 

-Manner of Death: this one’s currently airing and about crime and murder so probably not your cup of tea. It’s a Thai BL about a forensic pathologist, Bun, in a small town who is sure his friend Jane got murdered. But a mysterious figure starts threatening him, to make sure Jane’s death is ruled a suicide. Drama and mystery ensues. Jane’s (now ex-) boyfriend Tan is very sus and also very gay for Bun. Presumably.

-I think some of the pre-Trapped History installments are about older couples too? But I’m not sure. I’ve only watched Crossing the Line, which was about high school students and was. fine. I’ve heard rumours of a 4th instalment being in the works, and it being an office romance, but we’ll just have to wait and see I guess.
