Hardcore Deities: Worship Style
ENDER KING
Represents darkness, infinity, the cold, greed, overidulgence, power, tenacity, ego, stubbornness, abandonment, hubris, & catastrophe, among other things.
Offerings are pretty easy to guess. Obsidian (both kinds), amethyst, End crystals, shulker boxes, chorus fruit, endstone, anything & everything End basically. Also takes offerings in the form of riches like diamonds, emeralds, gold, etc. Honestly hoarding anything, especially of value, works for him. Just collect something obsessively.
He's a wrathful and selfish god, always hungry for more, infinitely insatiable. He cares little to none about his followers, their lives and limbs mean nothing to him compared to his desires and materialistic goods.
Examples of devotional acts to him mostly boil down to hoarding and self-centered acts. Always put yourself first, always value what you can gain over anything else, money is power, everything has a price.
He has no servants, he has no people. The Endermen forsake him after the Endlantis calamity. Ender King can control them, but they do not voluntarily bow to him.
He's disgraced by the other gods for his attempted (or successful) thieving of their domains. Worshiping him is considered by most to be taboo.
BLAZE EMPRESS
Represents fire, heat, intellect, wisdom, loyalty, strength, honor, righteousness, ferocity, protection, & courage, among other things.
Offerings are also pretty easy to guess. Blaze rods, gold, flint & steel, lava buckets, torchflowers, orange tulips, anything from any of the Nether biomes & mobs,
She's a bold and stern, but still very loving goddess. She's a no-bullshit kinda gal. She cares deeply for her people and the ones she loves, ready at all times to do anything for them. She is strict but endlessly proud of her followers.
Examples of devotional acts for her include fighting for what you believe in, activism, acquiring knowledge & new skills, learning anything PVP, soaking in hot water (lava if you're a species that can handle that), brewing potions, protecting your loved ones & what you care about, cooking on a campfire, and meditating.
Unlike most of the deities, Blaze Empress has two demigod servants, He & She! They have a fraction of her power and an unbreakable degree of her trust.
ROSE
Represents nature, prosperity, love, generosity, beauty, fertility, rebirth, creativity, discovery, balance, the seasons (especially Spring) & animal husbandry, among other things. Like Blaze Empress, she also represents protection.
Offerings include anything & everything natural! Plants, mob drops (wool, beeswax, etc), candles, food (LOVES crops & berries!), paintings. Honestly, if it comes from nature or you made it with love, she'll take it! Her favorites are flowers and berries though.
She's absolutely overflowing with love for most things (really what little ire she has is reserved for Ender King). She's bubbly, kind, patient, and very forgiving. But like the nature she commands, she has a terrifying and cruel streak for those that earn or deserve it. You do NOT want to be on the receiving end of it.
Examples of devotional acts include walking in nature, planting flowers or crops, farming, animal husbandry, research, creating art/music, writing, exploring, and self-care.
She's frequently one of the first deities to reach out to mortals. If it weren't for Goddess of Death, she'd be considered the most social deity in the Hardcore World.
OCEAN OVERLORD
Represents the ocean & all it's life, leisure, easy-goingness, abundance,
Offerings include anything from the ocean (he LOVES nautilus shells!), beach-going items, prismarine, seafood,
As chill as chill can be, Ocean Overlord can be so laid back that it may cause trouble for himself, his followers, or others. But he means well! Due to this, he's considered air-headed by many (ironic for a man made of water), but make no mistake: he can be as sharp as a sword. When he wants to be!
Examples of devotional acts include swimming, surfing, sunbathing, fishing, sailing, scuba diving, lounging on the beach, taking naps, taking time for yourself, & cleaning the ocean.
You may think he's easy to take advantage of, given that he can be so absent-minded and easy-going. You'd be wrong. Do not take his lazy himbo nature for granted. The Ender King and his monument-stealing feat are an outlier.
GODDESS OF DEATH (KRISTIN)
Obviously represents death and mortality. Also represents grief, sorrow, but also love and memory, among other things. She herself is also symbolized by crows.
Offerings include anything & everything purple, alcohol, candles, yummy food, wither skulls & roses, alliums, gravel (get it? (grave)l. She thinks it's funny!)
She's a surprisingly bubbly goddess, sociable and loving. She loves humor, often focuses on the positives of things,
Examples of devotional acts include drinking alcohol, resting, visiting gravesites, remembering those who have passed. She's a pretty typical death deity, but with a silly side! Get creative, she likes that!
Given that in Hardcore, death (for humans) isn't so serious, she's considered a minor deity! Her focus is mainly on mobs and plants, working in tandem with Rose.
GOD OF CHAOS (IAN)
Represents, well, chaos. As well as spontaneity, whimsy, humor, change, unpredictability, and fun, among other things.
Offerings include anything and everything orange. Why? Fuck you. He likes orange. As God of Chaos he doesn't have to explain why he prefers the offerings he does. He also enjoys offerings of obnoxious shit (so long as it's not him it bothers). LOVES note blocks, redstone noise machines, and horns.
In the Hardcore World, there's not a lot for a minor god like Ian to do, and not a lot of reasons for people to follow him in a way as formal as worship. And frankly, he kinda prefers it that way, it means he can do whatever the fuck he wants. No obligations means all the more time to do whatever his whims desire. He spends his time playfully harassing Phil, egging on the Murder to do the same, and being a loveable menace with Kristin.
Examples of devotional acts include quite literally just about anything and everything. Be funny, be loud, be goofy, bother Phil, commit to the bit, enjoy yourself, wear orange. He doesn't give a shit, chaos is such a broad concept, it's not hard to commit devotional acts in his name!
Don't forget that Chaos can be dangerous. :)
SCULK SCOURGE (FAN DEITY)
READ MORE HEADCANONS ABOUT THEM HERE!
Represents darkness, corruption, the apocalypse, spite, loneliness, fear, the unknown, hunger, & desolation, among other things.
Offerings include anything & everything deep dark, XP via any means (bottles of enchanting, smelting, breeding mobs, etc), diamonds, lapis, bones, god apples, infested stone, and beacons. It likes things that are enchanted, shiny, valuable, corrupt, or corruptable.
Is a dead god. An abandoned god. It's followers are dead and you should not want to be one. It does not want you. It wants your life force. It wants to be f͘re̷e. ̵F̢re͞e ̢i̶t. F҉r̕ee ͝it̶. Fr̸ee it.̴ FRE҉E͜ ͘IT̛.̵
Examples of devotional acts include spreading sculk, defending ancient cities from intruders, mob farming, releasing Wardens on the surface, sitting in silence and/or darkness, fre̴eing ́i̶t fr̷om ̛it̷s̷ underg͘ro̢und͠ ̸s̛hackles̛.
Is often thought of as a similar entity to The Ender King, but there's a distinct difference: Ender King favors material wealth, taking all for himself as it is to collect it. The Sculk Scourge wants to corrupt everything, to remake it in their image and MAKE it theirs, not just claim it.

Small town au stuff
Philza is kindhearted yet oddly knowledgeable and mysterious resident who seems wiser beyond his years and may or may not be a witch. Especially questionable is that giant ass hat of his. Maybe a witch. He is retired and has a suspiciously large income, and somehow knows how to fly a plane?!! Maybe a retired vet or spy? Its undetermined. Or maybe just your basic crop duster. He does talk about potatoes a lot for some reason.
Foolish, your local cop and sheriff. The heart throb of the police department and kind of the definition of abuse of power (but only when its funny). He'll probably let you off for speeding or doing donuts in corn fields. His previous job was the town's major architect, which he still builds sometimes, but wanted to harass random people as a police officer for a new temporary occupation.
Quackity, the emotional weirdo teacher who's got attachment issues out the wazoo. He is sweet, but spirals sometimes. Its been rumored that he's been beaten up by Phil's kid for reasons unexplained.
Wilbur, of course, the aspiring musician. Gets confused a lot for other famous people, but plays at events when he's home. Loves his kid, but has been gone for most of the year and feels insecure for not calling her as much.
Jaiden, the town's lawyer who is rolling in it. She wins a lot of her cases and maybe does some of the illegal legwork to prove her client's innocence or the accused guilty. She does a lot of investigating with Foolish and has a key to the polices archive room. She has gotten noise complaints about her two loud birds.
Forever, a new resident along with the other Brazilians who all live in his giant pink Barbie house until Cellbit moves out to get married. Forever quickly gains popularity among the town's residence and becomes mayor of Quesadilla Town. He has been chasing after Philza this whole time, but there are whispers that he has a thing for the local pastor.
Badboyhalo, the priest, which Forever has remarked that's probably the strangest one out of the town's peoples names but it fits. Bad is a strangely wealthy and knowledge priest. His face is always masked by shadows and a hood. He always appears out of nowhere and seems to derive amusement from spooking the other residents. Forever thinks that's cute.
Roier, from Jaiden's platonic roommate to Cellbit's husband, man has never had a job and is just a trophy roommate/husband. Always physically fit, the life of the party and if the town had a best looking competition, he'd be at least top 5. Spends his day working out and is often seen on long runs in the woods. He may or may not be the one always finding weird things on his runs. Like a random artifact or an unfamiliar body.
Cellbit, town's journalist. Always looking for clues on the strange going ons and always has one of those huge boards with photos, tacks, and red thread. Man hardly sleeps and is running on six cups of coffee a day. Get him some water.
Fit, he owns of course Fit's Fitness. The sexiest personal trainer in the county and has a prosperous business. Him and Phil are somehow friends, and he weirdly seems to know things he shouldn't. Has been seen fraternizing with the weird agents that come through town and cover stuff up.
Baghera is another school teacher in Quesadilla town. She is the funnier one but also there seems to be an immense sadness to her. She avoids any special agent from the Cucurucho Factory.
Etoiles is a mysterious vigilant who fights suspicious figures and deadly monsters in the night. He's kind of the ex machina of the town and can be found lurking in the back alleys. He may or may not be a clerk at your local giftshop.
Cucurucho is an interesting and strange character, a business man in a white suit wearing a bear mask at all times. He runs the Cucurucho Institution along with its factory and seems to hold some bizarre legal authority over the town. He also has connections in the hospital and school and all around is just a sketchy person. He has many of his underlings do his bidding around town and they have been seen dumping chemicals in the river and interrogating certain residents.
Pac is your new local gym teacher and has stolen the town's physical trainer's heart. They've been having a cute shy will they won't they. It's extremely obvious to the whole town. He is best friends with the mad scientist science teacher Mike. And they get up to shenanigans. And for a gym teacher, the guy sure is smart and knows a lot of ways to build things. He's like the ultimate package!
Missa is Phil's platonic husband who is always away on business trips. He shows up into town for about a week then has to head out again to do business related business. He is jealous of Phil's love interests but also won't deny how hot they are and that also makes him insecure.
Charlie is the troubled baker/conessieur in town. He always has a creepy smile about him when you ask what's in his food, but he's just screwing with you and its actually delicious. He has been seen dragging huge lumpy bags with red liquid pouring out of it and swears it's just strawberry jam. Turns out if you licked the floor, it is. His favorite dessert to make is green jello.
Tubbo is the weird little mechanic that is always putting bizarre attachments to your vehicle and making odd do dads in his spare time. No one knows where he got his mechanic license, but no one mentions that he's probably doing this illegally cause of his sweet deals.
Mouse is a famous vtuber who may be working with the occult on the side for the funsies. Is she running a cult? Perhaps. But it would be funny if she did. Anyways she has a lovely home and gives lots of her money as donations to less sketchy hospitals.

Huichol Yarn, Deer Shaman Talon Abraxas
A GUIDE TO HUICHOL SYMBOLOGY
SHAMANS - The spiritual leaders who are ambassadors to the gods, shamans preside over ceremonies, recite the divine passages, cure the sick, interpret dreams, etc. They are believed to have supernatural powers and insights in the metaphysical world that are considered out of reach for normal humans.
SPIRIT GUIDES - Intermediaries between human and spirit realms, the guide can take the shape of half-human, half-animal being. These figures appear in visions and dreams and remain with each shaman even after apprenticeship is over.
FIRE - Considered a very valuable gift from the gods, fire is called Tai. Tai is believed to enable the Huichol to have visions. The fire god, Tatewari, is always honored at Huichol ceremonies, and receives many offerings such as corn meal, sacred water and much of the art that they make.
HEALING WANDS - Called Muvieri, each shaman carries a wand in their medicine basket. They are made of pairs of eagle or hawk feathers attached to ceremonial arrows, and are used in rain making ceremonies and other divinations.
PATH OF LIFE - Wavy lines represent the "vine of life", which the Huichol Goddess of Life gives to every soul (plant, animal, human) at birth. This vine is the soul's spiritual connection to the breath of the goddess in the ethereal realm. When people chose to follow her "path of flowers", they receive her blessings: prosperity, abundance, creativity, health, and their hearts' desires.
WOLF PEOPLE - Believed to be the earliest ancestors, they spoke and lived like people. Tacutsi, the goddess of life, first taught them how to live well and overcome hunger and cold.
PRAYER ARROWS - Used to express gratitude or requests to the gods, called Urus, prayer arrows, like gourd bowls, are ceremonial objects through which the gods are believed to give their blessings. Special prayer arrows have crystals attached to them, representing the spirits of departed ancestors.
PEYOTE CACTI - Symbol for life, sustenance, health, success, good luck, and acquisition of shamanic powers, the peyote appears in practically all Huichol art and is considered a gift from the gods to the people to enlighten their lives and bring them into the mystical realm.
THE SUN - Brings light and illumination to the world. Tayaupa is father sun, master of the heavens, and his wife is the Eagle, mother of the sky and goddess of life. The Huichols believe all living things receive their power from the sun, and that He guarantees healthy crops and abundant food.
SNAKES - Instruct shamans to become healers. The rattle on the Rattlesnake is believed to be the tongue of the greatest shaman of all, which is the fire god. Snakes may also be associated with the rain goddess. The Mother Goddess of the Sea is pictured as a huge coiled serpent forming herself into a cyclical storm cloud from which rain falls. The Huichols believe that rain itself consists of millions of small snakes. They are valued for their work in the cornfields where they eat the rodents and pests harmful to the corn harvest.
DEER - The spirit guide Kauyumari, who leads the shamans on their visionary pathways and teaches them how to gain their special knowledge. One of the most commonly seen motifs, the deer, maxa, in Huichol, often appear in male and female pairs, symbolizing the unity between men and women on their spiritual journey. Legends about the deer abound in Huichol culture. The deer mother is the guardian spirit, the important animal in Huichol shamanism. She holds tobacco gourds and corn plant, both of utmost importance for Huichol survival. The Huichols believe that deer give their lives willingly to those who hunt them in a sacred manner. After a deer hunt, the hunters have to perform purifying rituals for many days to insure that the animals are properly thanked for giving their lives to the benefit of the people.
FLOWERS - Play a part in all Huichol ceremonies, and all flowers are considered sacred in healing rituals; the patient's head is anointed with flowers. Shamans use them to prepare for the deer hunt and during harvest ceremonies to adorn the new corn. One flower that appears often is called Kiera, the tree of the wind. It is a hallucinogenic plant said to open the Huichols spirits to the highest level of enlightenment.
BIRDS - Believed to be messengers to and from the gods, all birds are held in great regard. The shamans use tail and wing feather of eagles and hawks in their rituals and ceremonial chanting. The double-headed eagle is another common design, representing the shaman's omnipotent power to see in all directions.
TURTLES - Esteemed as assistants of the rain goddesses, turtles are believed to be responsible for replenishing the water of underground springs and the purity of all water sources.
WOLVES - Carrier of spirits, Kumukemai, the wolf, is honored in all peyote ceremonies. Many Huichols believe they are descendents of the "Wolf-People" of primordial times. Huichol shamans claim to possess the power to transform themselves into spirited wolves.
GOURD BOWLS - Used by shamans as containers filled with important symbols, such as corn, animals, and images of family members. Colorfully decorated, they are carried during ceremonies and prayer for protection, health, and abundance. The symbols themselves represent attributes of different gods and goddesses. They are placed in shrines and sacred sites throughout the Huichol homeland.
SCORPIONS - Used by shamans to repel evil and bad luck. They are both esteemed and feared. A deadly species of scorpion inhabit Huichol land and cause numerous fatalities every year. However, the Huichols believe that the scorpion spirit is a powerful ally that protects them as well.
SALAMANDERS - Agents of the rain mother, salamanders are connected with the water and rain, stirring up clouds and making rain fall.
JAGUAR - Messengers of the god of fire, Tatewari, they are guardians of the sacred vows taken by shamans during their years of initiation. Called Mayetse, they are given the power to devour the spirits of those who fail.
EAGLES - Believed to be the embodiment of a goddess known as Mother Eagle, Mother of the Sky and Queen of Heavens. Huichols admire Werika, the eagle as the most magnificent among all birds.
CANDLES - Represent the illumination of the human spirit, Catira, candles hold the sacred gift from the sun and fire gods. Along with flowers and ribbons, attached candles serve as offerings and payment to the deities who have granted special wishes to a Huichol.
THE SIGNIFICANCE OF COLORS:
WHITE - Cloud Spirits.
RED - The East, fire, masculinity.
BLUE - The South, Pacific Ocean, water, rain, femininity.
GREEN - The Earth, the Heavens, healing, the heart, grandfather, growth.
YELLOW - A special root from Wirikuta used for face paint in ceremonies.
ORANGE - "Wirikuta", the sacred land where the Huichol believe life began and also where they gather peyote.

Lughnasadh: The First Harvest
Lughnasadh is a pagan holiday that falls on the first of August to celebrate the beginning of the harvest season. It’s also known as Lughnasa, and Alban Heruin.
This holiday celebrates the abundance of the growing season as we look forward to the rest of the harvest. It's time to give thanks for the first fruits of the harvest, enjoy the fruits of one's labor and to celebrate the abundance of the earth. It is also a time to reflect on the past year and to look forward to the future. Be grateful for the blessings in one's life and appreciate the beauty of the world around us.
The origins of this day are Celtic. According to the lore, the Celtic God Lugh prevailed over the evil Balor, and saved crops from scorching. Lugh is a god of light, healing, and knowledge, and his victory over Balor is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a better future. The crops that were saved from scorching represent the abundance and prosperity that comes with the light of the sun. We give thanks for the light of the sun and celebrate the victory of light over darkness.
Lughnasadh has been interchanged with the Christian holiday Lammas, or Loaf-mass. This holiday also celebrates the abundance of the growing season. It was customary for bread to be baked and blessed at the church. Today, it has been taken up with many neopagan religions, along with Christianity. While today the importance of the first harvest may not be as prevalent today, the idea of spiritual harvest is encouraged. This is a time of growth and renewed energy.
Lughnasadh and Lammas are often interchanged, but it’s important to know that the roots of the holidays are different. In time, they have come together to celebrate the first harvest, celebrate spiritual and personal growth, and enjoy the abundance of the Earth. Celebrate what feels right to you!
If you have set intentions this year and have been working with it through the seasons, now is the time to reflect on how you have grown and what these intentions are bringing you.
Reflect on how your seeds from Imbolc have become ripe and vibrant. Think about all the hard work you put into them, from planting them to watering them and caring for them. Think about how they have grown and changed over time. Be proud of yourself for what you have accomplished. They are a reminder of your own strength and potential. Give thanks for Earth’s bounty and the beauty that surrounds us.
There are many ways to celebrate Lughnasadh. Some people attend festivals, while others hold feasts or go on picnics. Some people also make offerings to Lugh, such as bread or ale.
Here are some ideas for celebrating Lughnasadh:
Go on a walk to observe the changes in nature, check on your garden and gather herbs for spellwork. Go to the Farmer's Market, go apple picking or berry picking.
Spend time in the kitchen or around food, especially those that are associated with the harvest season, can be a great way to connect with nature and the cycle of life. Mess around with new recipes! Bake bread or toast bread you buy with herbs. Eat some late summer fruits.
Have a bonfire, picnic or dinner. Invite friends and family. Share a brew with a loved one.
Decorate your home or alter. Tidy up your house and refresh your altar. Here are some symbols to add to your decor and alter: - wheat, corn, grains, or sunflowers - the colors green, orange and yellow. - animal symbols such as crows, pigs, calves, roosters and salmon. - more herbs, plants and flowers to use are oak trees, apple, basil, marigold, rose, rosemary
Update your witchy journals. Reflect on your talents and goals. Make a gratitude list.
Make Sun Water, used for protection, healing, clairvoyance, happiness, fertility, and creativity. Fill up a jar with water and put it on a windowsill or outside. The perfect time to place it is early morning. Add crystals, herbs and flowers if you want.
Fire and Sun spells are great around this time. Prosperity spells are wonderful too.
Lughnasadh is a time to celebrate the beauty of the natural world and the bounty of the harvest. It is a time to give thanks for all that we have and to look forward to the future. Find ways to celebrate that resonate with you. These are just suggestions that might inspire you!

Anne and the Shoemaker
Original Prompt supplied by friend when asked: "A shoemaker in the 1600s discovers their new favorite food, but only because it's served by the most beautiful person they ever saw." Short Story (Written over a train commute): Life was simple 'as for James Hamilton, a typical young man working as a cobbler in the City of London. He had a decent life working for a boss, and go home to his home, always in grim view of the Tower of London. There was always a public execution these days as the Queen protected her power from an attempt on her throne. As a red-blooded Englishman, he did his rightful duty and watched, but he found them to be too gruesome, and generally avoided the spectacle. The noises and cheers always found its way to his home though, using the broken boots of friends as practice and noise whenever the crowd cheered. Yet, on one fairly standard day, he heard noises come from the tower, but he also felt a feeling a sense of necessity, so he walked forward to the scene of the next set of executions, a crowd in front, all focused on taunting the men in rope as the man began to read out the crimes. "May I interest you in food, young Sir." He heard near him. Normally he'd just ignore the overpriced gawking, but he felt a soft hand on his shoulder, and quickly turned, set to yell at whoever interrupted him. Instead, he was hushed at the beauty of the woman who was in front of her, dressed in a dark red outfit, accented by long yellow stripes on each boot and down her chest. Even her red cape was yellow on the inside. "Food is important for a growing young man, don't you think?" She said, giving him a wink as her ponytail peaked out from behind. He shook his head. "Trust me when I say you'll regret it. Please, have a sample." How no one else even looked at her, he could only guess the list being read behind was engrossing. Free is free, he thought, and she smiled as she opened the bucket to reveal a white thick plant that almost looked like a miniature log. He was slightly put off. "Um, no thanks." "Try it! Its on the house plus I'm sure you'll agree its delicious!" The woman gave him a bright smile that made him weak in the legs, her voice penetrating the roar of the crowd as the executions began. She put forward the bucket and he reached in, grabbing a soft piece, and placed it in his mouth. He stopped, and slowed his chewing as he felt the odd but delightful taste in his mouth as the beautiful woman smiled, her eyes shut. "Its a new world crop, boiled in water." The woman grinned chaotically, holding the bucket as she leaned forward, her face only three inches from his. "You don't believe that the Trade Companies should be the only one to prosper, now do you Sir Hamilton. "They brought over tobacco, corn, and squash, made the Crown millions. Shouldn't you get a part of that as well?" She purred. She shifted to his side, and he suddenly felt the coldness of where her eyes suddenly weren't focused. He ripped his gaze away from where she was, and to her new position. "Come with me. Join me on a trip out to the New World." He could easily say no, ignore the witch of a woman that no one else seemed to notice. Stick to his nominal life as a cobbler, work his way up. Yet, he could not remove his gaze away from the woman, or how tasty the so-called root was as he kept chewing it as the crowd cheered with each bite he took till it was all gone. Her smile though took control of his brain, and he found himself agreeing. "Wonderful! See you at the Port of London in 24 hours." And with that, she suddenly disappeared, and he returned back to his life, seeing kids excitedly running past, having enjoyed the last execution of the day. He slowly turned, and saw that the five corpses were all still hanging, looking forward as if searching for their next victim.
Author Notes:
I did enough research to essentially place people in the correct location at the right times, but otherwise I did not spend time on languages or settings. This was a quick one-shot for a reason and I wasn't about to research much (plus I mainly write current-day fiction).
Otherwise, hello! After years of keeping my writings personal, I have decided to publicly post my writings for the world to peruse. I can always do better, and by no means am I a good writer. To me, it is a way to keep my brain going and imaginative between working hours.
I do not mind people talking assertively about this or that, as everyone is entitled to their personal opinions, but I can give as good as I get if you decide to be extremely rude.

Warnow in Lolab: A Village of Significance
Nestled in the northern upper reaches of Lolab, the village of Warnow has a significance that resonates far and wide. One cannot speak of Warnow without mentioning the revered saint, Allama Kashmiri, who hails from this very place, known and respected across the world. May Allah bestow His mercy upon his soul.
Warnow, while technically a small habitation, is often used to refer to a cluster of villages that thrive in its vicinity, including Warnow itself, Shahabad, Kainaar, Affan, and Rang. What sets Warnow apart is its crystal-clear stream, which meanders through numerous villages, serving as the lifeline for extensive agricultural cultivation. Perched at a high altitude, the village offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Potnai Valley.
The inhabitants of Warnow are a diverse mix of Kashmiri-speaking and Pahari-speaking people. The majority of them are deeply rooted in agriculture, tilling the fertile lands that owe their prosperity to the flowing waters. Additionally, a few locals are engaged in the business of walnut kernels, given the region's abundant production of this valuable crop. The towering, dense mountains enveloping the area provide sustenance for many, as they rely on the rich vegetation that thrives there.
Education plays a pivotal role in the development of Warnow and its neighboring villages. The area boasts a higher secondary school, half a dozen middle schools, and as many primary schools, collectively working towards the enlightenment of the masses. The younger generation of this region is increasingly inclined toward education and sports, embodying a progressive spirit.
A distinctive feature of Warnow is its traditional logwood houses, which continue to be a common sight, reflecting a connection to age-old architectural practices.
In the heart of Warnow beats a simple yet profound ethos: a life of simplicity and a penchant for noble thoughts. The inhabitants of this village find their greatness not in opulence but in their values, traditions, and their ability to cherish the beauty of the natural world that surrounds them.
The climatic diversity of Warnow is undeniably one of its most striking attributes. Spring, summer, and autumn in this village are marked by the pleasant embrace of abundant rainfall. The cascading rainwater flows through the stream, quenching the thirst of extensive agricultural lands, ensuring a prosperous harvest for the area downwards. The unpredictability of rain in Warnow adds an element of surprise to its weather patterns. It seems that even a small plume of cloud passing by is enough to trigger a sudden shower, reminding the villagers of the ever-changing nature of their environment. This sporadic rainfall is a blessing for the area.
However, when winter descends upon Warnow, it undergoes a dramatic transformation. The village is blanketed in a thick layer of snow, turning it into a serene winter wonderland. The quietude of the snowy landscape creates a unique and enchanting atmosphere, contrasting sharply with the vibrancy of the other seasons.
The seasonal cycle in Warnow, from the lushness of spring to the warmth of summer and the colorful embrace of autumn to the tranquility of winter, adds yet another layer to the village's charm. It is a testament to the ever-changing beauty of nature that graces this remarkable place throughout the year.
Certainly, there's always more to discover about a place as rich and diverse as Warnow. Whether it's the local traditions, folklore, wildlife, or any other aspect that makes this village unique, feel free to share more, and I'd love to add to this write up.

FRESH MANNA
FRUITFUL FIELD
Isaiah 32:14-16
We talk about fruitfulness daily more than any other topic, all-encompassing personal, physical, material, financial and spiritual fruitfulness. Ideally, every area of our lives should be a fruitful field, prospering and successful but alas, it’s not always so.
We all want to be fruitful, fertile and prosperous, unfortunately, if not in the Lord, every effort will be wasted and meaningless. As verse 15 says from on high, this a promise that the Spirit of God comes from nowhere else but from God who seats on high in heaven.
The world is getting busier and people are madly rushing around with little or no interest in the things of the Spirit and dependence on self for fruitfulness and prosperity, not needing God but there’s no permanency in the world. Everything outside of God is fleeting and limiting.
Isaiah is prompting us to turn to a future in God for the blessedness of His grace and kingdom.
So many are toiling and working but can get any fruit for their effort. Their fruit seems to be either non-existent or small in comparison with the investment.
Jeremiah 17:5 says woe unto anyone who puts his trust in man- including self. “Woe” is a curse on the absurdity and worthlessness of self-help and man-dependent.
When we plant anything, we would want to harvest a good crop, so it might be a good idea to fertilize the field to that end, even with fertilization, the field may still not be fruitful.
When the spirit of God is poured on us, it brings transformation that only the spirit of God can unleash. Every living thing on the land and sea according to Psalm 104:27-30 depends on God to supply their food in due season and their very breath. Impressing on us the necessity of depending on God’s spirit to fertilize our lives to bring fruitfulness and prosperity.
Fruitfulness and prosperity according to Psalm 92:14 are not restricted to young people alone who seem to have unlimited strength and energy. It continues to say that even the aged, devoted believers can be fruitful. Many faithful older people continue to have a fresh outlook and can teach us from a lifetime of experience in serving God.
We‘re a generation that is constantly looking for the next big break, the break that is supposedly able to make us fruitful and prosper, we do everything we’re told to do, pay whatever we’re asked to pay, attend every course, masterclass and workshop purporting fruitfulness and prosperity when we are unable to follow God’s simple instructions and principles.
Our lives are synonymous with the palm tree mentioned in Psalm 1:3 which becomes fruitful fields when the Spirit of the Lord pours on us.
According to Numbers 13:20, the Lord is asking us this: How is the soil, your life, your field? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees in it or not? Whether your field is fertile and has trees depends on your soil, the soil of your heart or your life. Is your soil capable of producing fruits, lasting and godly fruits?
We cant become a fruitful field by sowing seeds of unrighteousness but the righteous and godly seed that is watered by the Spirit of God to make us fruitful fields and lives.
Don’t look to yourself but look to the outpouring of the Spirit to make you a fruitful field in all areas of your life.
PRAYER: Father, I desire an outpouring of your Spirit to help me become that fruitful field you created me to be in Jesus’s name. Amen.
Shalom

!!! I think number 1 this time!! (I loved allura's backstop <333)
hell yeah coran’s turn 😈 3-7 left to go!!
———
Coran watched with the rest of the world as the most powerful ruler Egypt ever saw grew up, and then was the only one to see as she rose from her slumber to bring the world back to its power and unity.
He didn’t know that would be his fate, of course. He grew up under the peace of Allura’s grandparents, helping his mother attend to the then-Queen as a child. It was there that he met Melenor, a daughter of another handmaiden, his best friend, and it was there as he watched his best friend grow to catch the eye of the son of the Pharaoh. It was in the castle, under the reign of peace, as he watched Alfor and Melenor fall in love, marry, and assume the power of Ra when they took the throne — the youngest married couple to ever do so.
It was in that castle, the castle where he spent his whole life, that he watched Allura take her first, wailing breath, and Melenor take her last.
It was a time of confliction, that first year of Allura’s life. The kingdom was torn between celebrating the princess and mourning the Queen. Many people, even, were convinced that Melenor was alive again through Allura, with her fiery spirit and playful demeanour — an opinion that grated Coran endlessly, to watch the child he loved as a niece be reduced to a copy of her mother. An opinion he fought frequently, no matter who he was fighting. (For Coran was there when Melenor was a child. It was Melenor who was the loudest of the handmaidens’ children, Melenor who invented great games of war and pretend, who convinced the people, even as a babe, that the spirit of Horus was evident in her veracity. Coran was there as he watched his best friend challenge the son of the Pharaoh, and have him fall, devoted, at her feet in love. He was there to watch Melenor’s calamity sweep the nation.
Allura was not her mother. Allura was just as fiery, yes, but strategic where Melenor was impulsive. Patient where Melenor was invigorated. Allura was her own person, a mix of her father and her mother and herself, and Coran would not stand for people to forget that.)
The opinions changed during Allura’s twelfth spring.
That year, the winter had been so brutally cold that there had even been snow, and the Nile had frozen over. It was the worst winter Egypt had seen in decades, and likewise, the spring was even more horrendous. The snow melted and flooded the Nile, destroying crops and homes alike. Every advisor in the castle and beyond — including Coran — had been summoned to meet with Pharaoh Alfor, so that they might solve the problem.
Enough advisors that a child — especially one small for her age, just like her father had been — could slip into the room unnoticed, hiding behind Coran, and watch the meeting with careful, inquisitive eyes. Enough that the child may tap Coran on the shoulder, and whisper her suggestion solution — deep trenches dug at the side of the river, when it is at its lowest, so the flood water no longer flows past the bank.
Allura, even as a child, had wisdom beyond her years, and Coran had always advocated for her, especially then.
As the years went on, Coran watched as she grew into herself and her grace, her wisdom only growing in tandem with her newfound alchemical abilities. Coran also watched as her father grew wearier with every year Allura grew taller. (He had never quite accepted the passing of his wife. As much as he loved and cared for his daughter, his heart was broken, and a broken heart can only beat for so long.)
Alfor was bedridden by Allura’s seventeenth summer, and passed by her eighteenth. The country was in mourning, and feared the new lead of a woman so young — but they needn’t have. As he always knew she would, Allura prospered.
As she prospered, though, Coran worried.
She knew that there were those who were unhappy with her rule. Those who benefited from the suffering of others, the suffering Allura was slowly and meticulously eliminating, those who sneered Allura’s name behind closed doors. Allura knew of those people, suspected them and kept a careful eye on them.
But she did not expect her own aunt and uncle.
Coran knew, however. He watched them, quietly thwarting their many attempts to subvert the throne for their own power. But he never expected them to commune with Seth. Never would he expect for them to stoop so low, to make a deal with the trickster god, and so when the clouds came and their plan swept through the castle, Coran was helpless to stop it, and died along with Allura and the rest of the castle’s loyal staff.
He was the only to wake, though. The only to rise as Allura rose and the power of Ra rose with her. He and Allura were left as remnants of their time, mythos of people lost to the crumbling of their nation.
But they were not the only people on the Earth who were lost to time. And Coran was looking forward to meeting with all of them.

So I got to talking to @one-bowl-of-soop and as usual, they endured my over-analysis of random things. So behold :
Each of the Madrigal kids' gift is a direct reflection of the Effect that their family's trauma and dynamic had on them
Disclaimer: this is copy pasted from texts I wrote on the bus. My understanding of psychology comes solely from curiosity, this is not a clinical or professional analysis. If anyone who knows of this stuff wants do dispute my thoughts I'd love to discuss this with you :)
Julieta (the "oldest" triplet) - healing/nourishing - as the appointed oldest child of a single mother (and a widow) she ended up as her siblings' second mother and making sure her mother didn't do everything alone. Her power was the highest form of taking care of her family.
Pepa(the "middle" triplet) - tempest temper - her gift is a compliment to her sister's (she helps the crops grow by watering them for example) . More than that, as the middle child and least similar to her mother and father, she makes herself known in a space by literally altering the weather in it. (Ironically this makes it so her entire life she's told to silence herself even more because it inconveniences those around her)
Bruno (the "youngest" triplet) - clairvoyance - he may be the youngest but he was also the only boy in the house. Socially he'd be expected to become "the man of the house" and secure the family's security and future prosperity. To be confident of the future, nothing better than to know what's coming. Irony comes in again because all his predictions did was make people feel insecure and fearful of said future
Isabela (the oldest grandchild) - plant manipulation - the perfect golden child. She was the first one of the new generation. The first evidence that Encanto was the Madrigals forever home. She was supposed to be the pretty trophy , and, as the oldest, always perfect, so her gift is to create the perfect prettiest things in nature
Dolores- hearing - between abuela's firm hand, her mother's emotional instability and her aunt and uncle's resentment regarding their gifts, Dolores was bound to end up hypervigilant. She didn't have any of the expectations of Isabela put on her, but she did have to learn to navigate her family, and to do that she had to know what was going on with who. She's also an older sister, but she sticks to being responsible for her chores kind of older sister, her chore being keeping tabs on what happens around them
Luisa - strength - as a middle child, Luisa took to the same approach as Pepa, making herself visible. However, with the pressure to live up to her sister she did so in a way that made her "useful", taking on the weight of function when her sister was form (in that way they also compliment each other).
Camilo - shape-shifting - also a middle child, he's on the other side of the spectrum. Camilo was invisible by choice. At this point he had 3 examples of what being a model grandchild did to people and so he just settled for being whoever his cousins and sister (or mother) needed. "he won't leave until he makes you smile today" is intentional, he was the kid his cousins and sister didn't have a chance to be, and so he played that up, ending up with a gift that cloaks him from attention and potentiates jokes that elevate morale (we can also go for the being the first grandson and the expectation to be every role at once since at the time of his gift Bruno had already disappeared and so he was the only "man of the family")
Antonio (the youngest) - animal communication - Antonio is the first child with a support system. All the other kids got their room at a young age, separating them from each other early on. Antonio had Mirabel with him. He didn't need to face abuela's expectations, or his aunt's and mother's worries, or his cousin's issues alone. Mirabel holds his hand literally and figuratively through his childhood. In turn, he suffers less, but suffers nonetheless. His gift is to give voice to creatures nobody else listens, to realise the importance of those people deem unimportant. He grew up around a cousin who was treated as second class because she didn't have a gift. Because she was different. And still she was the one who treated him with most compassion and attention. And so his gift allowed him to treat others, every type of others, with the same attention.
I didn't write anything about Mirabel's gift, because regardless of headcanons she's not confirmed to have one and I also like that interpretation.
If you read through the whole thing hi! Thanks!

Finally done: Children of Dead AU AKA an SBI Royal/Antarctic Empire AU which actually includes both Fundy and Kristin. More info under the cut
also ignore typos in the drawing, I did the text at like 2 am
The Antarctic Empire seemed to pop out of nowhere, and just as fast as it appear, it became among the most prosperous and wealthiest (and most dangerous) kingdoms in the world. The world was in shock figuring out how an adventurer, who first came into view from a pathetic death, became the ruler of such a prosperous empire. Although once meeting the royal family, one begins to understand. Emperor Philza, also known as the Angel of Death, a man later became known for his wisdom and bravery. He will always raising to the occasion, of course, if he believe in it, and destroy anything that stands in his path. The empress is Death herself, always kind to everyone who doesn’t run from her and her touch and to be feared if you ever go against her. They formed a family that almost seems too perfect for running the place the call home. The oldest son is almost perfect soldier, seemingly never loosing a battle and always knowing how to plan to their next expansion of their territory. The crown prince has a way with words that makes everyone listen, always trying to get the upper hand and his pride always seeking what’s the most optimal outcome during a meeting. The youngest of the emperor and empress children is a loud young man that is never afraid to speak his mind, fight for any occasion to protect the empire and his family, trying to improve any injustice that may ever plague the kingdom. The crown prince’s son is focused on making the empire structurally stable, always focusing on the infrastructure and improving the technology.
Secondary characters
Ranboo:
He was taken in by Phil when he was 15, but he really seems to be adopted by Techno than by him.
Not an official prince, but under the protection of the royal family.
Still half enderman and half something else.
He is the same age as Tommy, and they get along well-enough.
Tubbo:
He is not adopted by the royal family, but might as well be.
Even though he is a citizen of Manberg, he spends most of his time in the empire, specially hanging out with Tommy, Ranboo, and Purpled.
Son of Captain Sparklez, his uncle is Schlatt and Puffy, and Dream is his cousin.
Half goat and half sheep (that’s the couple horn).
Purpled:
An ex-child soldier, rescued and taken in by Ponk and Punz (his biological-older brother).
He was REALLY good at his job, and still continues the mercenary work, but he actually makes money out of it.
He is an alien hybrid, which is among the rarest hybrids, and has very little drawbacks.
He hangs out in the castle because he can and nobody can stop him.
Sam:
A prince with so many brothers that is near impossible for him to become a king, so he moved to the empire and helps in the building of it with the help of Foolish.
A raccoon-creeper hybrid, and connected to Tommy very fast because of it.
He is in a relationship with Ponk, and lives with him, Purpled and Punz.
He can explode, and tries his best to control his angel... and he is scared of cats, which works out because Ponk is allergic to them.
Schlatt
Phil’s old adventure buddy (look, I love their Hexxit series, fight me)
President of Manberg, although not for long because he dies near the end of his first term. After that he haunts, Quackity, Tubbo and Phil, although mostly Quackity.
He has the Revive Book, because his family is cursed and all males died young and he is looking for a way to stop it or extended the dying.
He is Sparklez’s and Puffy’s cousin, although he did help raise Tubbo since they travel a lot.
5up:
Fundy’s childhood friend (and later boyfriend)
He is a nature spirit, specifically a radish. All nature spirits are connected to a plant, and this helps him to stay connect to this realm because again, he is a spirit.
He tries to spend as much time in the empire with Fundy but the weather is hard on him, and staying in another realm can be hard.
Minor characters
Sally: A fish-hybrid that comes to the empire when the water is not frozen solid, and despite that, she is married to Wilbur and gave birth to Fundy, making her the princess of the empire.
Squid kid: A squid-hybrids that comes to the empire year-round and helps Techno keep his crops when he knows he is going away for a battle for an extended period of time. Techno only does this because he hates machines, and prefers manual labor.
Ponk: A dreamon-hybrid (hides it) mercenary and doctor who keeps an eye in Punz and specially Purpled. Usually the middle man between any hits someone may request.
Punz: A alien-hybrid (recessive) mercenary and ex-child soldier. While he lives under Ponk and Sam’s roof, he doesn’t really listen to them as he is only there because he cares about Purpled... also he doesn’t listen to anyone unless you pay him.
Extra info:
Tubbo, Dream, Puffy, Sparklez and Schlatt are all biologically connected. The “C” on Tubbo and Schlatt’s name stand for Captain, which is the family name. Don’t ask why is in the beginning of their names, they don’t know either. Their curse consist in that all males in the family will die young, usually tragically (Sparklez drowns in one of his travels and Schlatt dies alone from a heart attack). While the females will start to forget things if they are not consistent, for example, they will remember how to garden if they are a farmer, but they will forget they have a child if they live alone for an extended period of time.
Dream is the rules of the Greater SMP, although he hates the idea of being the face of the country since he hates people being up in his personal business, doesn’t like attention, he has personal beef with Techno and Tommy and that is not good for public relations when you hate two of the princes of one of the most powerful empires in the world; and his uncle runs a country that is not connected to his at all (aside from being to war in the past, but Schlatt wasn’t president then). So he still rules, but put Eret as a figure head as he has good personal relations with Wilbur and they actually like the attention.
There’s a small secret revolution against Wilbur going on the Antarctic Empire run by Blop and Oreli and many other of the people Wilbur used as experiment and torture during his “rebellious” phase. They mostly just want to torture and no-canonically kill him.
Hannah and George are also nature spirits. George is a mushroom spirit and Hannah is a rose one. George lives in Kinoko Kingdom with Karl (not a hybrid, but just a straight up an interdimensional being) and Sapnap, a fire-demon hybrid, and they are visited by Dream, who’s a sheep-dreamon hybrid, Quackity (a duck hybrid) and BBH (straight up demon and Sapnap’s dad). Hannah, on the other hand, lives on the Empire in a green rose, and works as a mercenary with Purpled. They sometimes work together, but most of the time they just train together.
Quackity is the vice-president during Schlatt presidency, and takes the mantle of presidency when he dies. He wants to run, but he after entering in a relationship with Karl and Sapnap he stops and moves to Kinoko.

King Dedede and his subordinate were taken to the soldiers of Minoreze’s interrogation center. It was a veteran soldier with a white beard who interrogated the king.
"Don’t be stubborn. Tell me honestly what you did."
"There’s nothing to talk about!" King Dedede arrogantly replied to the veteran soldier trying to get him to talk.
"That’s enough of the playing dumb! In that case, let me remind you." The veteran soldier opened up. "Last night, the food in the storehouse intended for the festival was completely stolen. The food storehouse is in front of the inn you guys were staying at. The innkeeper was there and witnessed it."
"I don't know anything about that." King Dedede shook his head. "In the first place, the law that you can't eat enough for the seven days before the festival is wrong. Change it immediately!"
"Don't say such nonsense. It's an important law that’s been going on for many generations." The veteran soldier then said earnestly, "You don't know anything about our Minore, do you. Be grateful I’ll explain to you how important the festival is to us."
"Alright, I’m listening, I guess."
"Our Minore is a harsh star, with most of its earth being desert, however, the capital, Minoreze, alone prospers, being blessed with water. Why do you think that is?"
"Hell if I know."
"It’s because generation after generation of kings have the power to control the rain and wind."
" ... Oho?" As the self-proclaimed great ruler of Dream Land, King Dedede’s interest was piqued when he heard about a king. "Does the king really have such great power?"
"Indeed. When the king gives a prayer to God, it rains."
"Huhh, that guy sounds really important. I kinda want to meet him someday." The veteran soldier looked at King Dedede, who casually muttered, with astonishment.
"Hey, hey, a thief can’t meet with him! The king never meets with anyone in the first place."
"Huh? Why not?"
"Because he’s a very regal king. A king that’s regal does not just appear before the people all willy nilly. He can only be seen in the square during the festival ceremony, and even then, he wears a divine veil that hides his appearance."
"Huhhhh ... '' King Dedede’s face turned sour. He often appeared "willy nilly" here and there in Dream Land. "Then you guys don’t even know what your king looks like?"
"That’s correct."
"Can you respect a guy whose face you don't even know?"
"Absolutely! The king stays secluded in a room deep inside the royal palace, always praying for us. If not for the power of the king and God, we wouldn’t eat, we wouldn’t drink, we’d be lost. In order not to forget how grateful we are, we’re expected to give thanks by showing self-restraint with our meals for seven days before the festival."
"Hmm ... "
King Dedede remembered Dream Land. Dream Land always had pleasant, warm weather and plenty of food. This star seemed to be different from it with a very harsh environment.
"We don't eat the crops we harvest right away, but instead save it in the food storehouse little by little. On the day of the festival, chefs from all over the city use that food to make the best feast they can! Then, we eat to our heart’s content and thank the king and God."
"We were looking forward to it too ... How did it end up like this ... '' King Dedede’s grumbling wasn't heard by the veteran soldier.
"This year’s feast was supposed to be especially grand," he said bleakly. "The current king is a regal person, after all, very different from his predecessor ... "
"Huh? What was that?"
"Ah, oh dear ... " The veteran soldier was in shock when he realized what had slipped out of his mouth, however, when King Dedede stared at him, he reluctantly opened up. "Just about a year ago, we got a new king."
"New? Was he replaced?"
"That's right. It may be presumptuous to say this, but the previous King of Minore was a lazy one who wasn’t suited for the title ... It didn't rain as planned, and most of the vegetables and fruits withered. Last year's festival, we couldn't even cook half of the usual amount of food, and everyone was horribly disappointed."
"What ... What a terrible king to take away what everyone was looking forward to!
"Don’t you agree? He was such a bad king that he was finally banished from the royal palace. Then, replaced by the new king. The new king is a cousin of the previous king, but his personality is very different. It rains exactly as everyone expects. Thanks to that, this year's harvest was bountiful, with plenty of food for preparations, so it was supposed to be an especially grand festival, but ... " The veteran soldier’s expression turned cold. "It won’t happen because you stole the food for our long-awaited festival!"
"I don't know where the stolen food went!"
"Such excuses won’t pass. We have the innkeeper’s testimony. It’s a serious crime to take away what everyone is looking forward to!"
"That innkeeper lied about ...! "
"It’s been ordered by the prime minister to absolutely not excuse your misdeed. Alright, this interrogation is over! Lock him up!"
The door of the interrogation room opened forcibly and two soldiers entered. They took King Dedede to a cell in a tall tower and roughly shoved him in.
"Think good and hard about what you’ve done! Confess where you’ve hidden the stolen food, the faster the better!"
The great king slumped on the stone floor and groaned. "Ughh ... o ... ow ...! What rough people! Who do they think they’re ...! "
"Are you alright, Your Majesty!?" It was Bandana Waddle Dee who raised his voice. He felt lonely and helpless, locked up in the damp cell by himself, and was waiting for King Dedede to return.
"Hmph, of course I’m fine. Hey, checking in, you’re alright too, yeah?"
"Yes. Thank you." King Dedede threw his legs out and sat down. Bandana Waddle Dee crouched at his feet with tears in his eyes. "Great King ... what will happen to us?"
"We’re innocent! They’ll release us soon, they’ve gotta!" It was when King Dedede’s shouts echoed—a low voice was heard from somewhere.
" ... Hey ... you guys ... " Bandana Waddle Dee jumped with a start and clung to the king.
"W-was there a voice just now!? But it’s just us in here ...! "
"Huh. Whose voice was that? Maybe it’s a ghost?"
"Y-Y-Your Majesty—!"
"Idiot, I’m just messing with you." King Dedede pressed his ear up against the stone wall. "I heard it from the other side here. Anyone there?"
Then, there was a reply.
"Keep your voice down, there are guards on patrol ... You guys are new here, yeah? I’m a prisoner in the cell next to yours. Call me Ali."
"I'm King Dedede, and this is my subordinate Waddle Dee."
"A king, you say? Of where?"
"I’m the king of Dream Land."
"Never heard of it. Why are you in prison if you’re a king?"
"I’ve been falsely accused of a crime."
"Really. Lady Luck hasn’t been on your side, huh." The prisoner, who called himself Ali, laughed with a carefree voice. "It's been a while since there’s been fresh voices next door, I'm glad to have someone to chat with. Well, how about we get along as fellow prison mates."
"No way. We’re getting outta here right now."
Then, "Whaat. Your crime wasn’t that big a deal?" Ali said, dully. "What did you guys do?"
"We didn’t do anything!"
"The great king was accused of stealing the food meant for the festival from the food storehouse and was arrested for it," Bandana Waddle Dee said on behalf of the sullen King Dedede.
"What ...!? " Ali breathed in sharply. "The food!? Because you stole the food for the festival!?"
"I didn’t steal anything! I'm innocent!"
"The innkeeper of the inn we were staying at gave a false testimony that painted His Majesty as the culprit. Why he would tell such a lie, I don’t understand ... "
"I’ve made up my mind. That innkeeper is the real criminal. Damn scoundrel ...! " King Dedede struck the stone wall in anger.
"I see. You've been falsely accused of a crime. But, although that guy was bad ... " Ali lowered his voice. "You’ll never be able to get off our star until you’re completely cleared of suspicion."
"Huh ...? "
"Food theft is a grave offense in Minore. Once a food thief gets in prison, they don’t come out." King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee exchanged glances.
"You’re not kidding!?" King Dedede shouted. "I'm the great ruler of Dream Land, if I didn't come back, what would happen to the inhabitants!?"
"Everyone would be deeply saddened. My fellow Waddle Dees are eagerly waiting for the return of the king, as well."
"We can’t stay here! Somehow, we’ve gotta get out of this place." King Dedede folded his arms and thought about it.
"Kirby will surely do something about this. Kirby will find the true culprit, for sure," Bandana Waddle Dee said. King Dedede threw a glance at him.
"You expect me to rely on Kirby!?"
"But Great King ... "
"I’m not gonna put all my faith in him! We’re slipping outta this prison with me and my capability!"
Upon hearing King Dedede's declaration, Ali said, "Hey hey, you guys seriously want to escape? Your sentences will only grow heavier."
"But we can’t just sit around. I’m gonna get out of this prison and catch the real criminal with my own two hands!"
"Buut ... "
"I have to return to Dream Land, I have to, without fail! For my subordinates and for the people!" King Dedede furiously shouted at Ali, who was trying to calm him.
" ... For the people ...? I see ... " Ali went quiet. King Dedede began to work out an escape plan.
"The problem is how to get the key from the guard to unlock the door. Let’s see, target the guard when he comes to deliver the meals ... when he comes I’ll aim and swing for the stomach, it’ll hurt bad ... Waddle Dee will fight and throw some punches and deliver the final blow ... "
Then, Ali called out, "I'll work with you, King Dedede."
"What?"
"I'd never really thought about escaping, but ... the situation you two are in is really unfortunate. Even though you guys went through a lot of trouble to come to Minore, you got accused of being thieves and were arrested. Also ... " Ali continued slowly, "you have people waiting for your return, yeah?"
"Yeah, that's right. Everyone in Dream Land is waiting for me. I have to return for them!"
"I like that spirit. I'll lend you a hand."
"Really! You have a good heart to want to be my subordinate, I'll praise you."
" ... I never said a word about wanting to be your subordinate."
"You have a good idea or something?"
"Don’t rush me, I'll start thinking of something."
King Dedede and Ali mulled over it for a while. It was Ali who came up with a strategy first.
"How ‘bout this?" Ali explained his idea in a low voice. King Dedede, who listened carefully, tilted his head in doubt.
"Hmm ... Is that gonna work?"
"It's up to you. If you mess up, there’s no redos. You have one shot to pull off this great escape strategy."
" ... Alright. Let's do this."
"Now you’re talking. Then, get ready."
King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee looked at each other and nodded.
"HEEELP! GUARDS, COME! HEEELP!" Ali’s shouts reverated throughout the stone prison. Immediately, a guard came running in.
"What’s going on? Keep your voice down."
"It's an emergency, the guys from the next cell over escaped!"
"What!?" The color drained from the guard’s face. "That’s stupid ... even though it was locked securely ...!? "
"Those guy’s bodies are soft. They liquified like jelly and slipped through the gaps in the bars. If you think I’m lying, check the cell next door!"
"O-okay!"
The guard peered into the neighboring cell through the iron bars. The inside was dark, one could not see all the way to the back.
"Hmm ... Are they not just hiding in the back there ...? "
The guard opened the cell with the key on his waist to investigate the darkness in the rear. As soon as he stepped inside—something dropped from above. King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee were clinging to the ceiling.
" ... Mmph!?" the guard cried out. King Dedede quickly smothered him with his robe. "MM! MMMPH!?"
He struggled, but he was so tightly wrapped up with the robe that his shouts were stifled. Bandana Waddle Dee took the opportunity to run out of the cell.
"There’s a toolbox in the corner of the hallway, yeah? There should be some rope in that!" Ali shouted from next door.
"Got it!" Bandana Waddle Dee opened the tool box. There was rope and various other tools in it. He grabbed the rope and returned to the cell. "Great King, here!"
"Good job, Waddle Dee." King Dedede quickly bound the guard.
"What are you planning to do!?" the guard shouted, kicking and struggling. "If you do this, your sentences will only get heavier and heavier!"
"I never committed a crime in the first place!" King Dedede shouted back, putting his robe back on. "Alright, let's go, Waddle Dee!"
"Yes!" Bandana Waddle Dee picked up the key dropped by the guard and opened the barred door of the next cell over. A mischievous boy jumped out of it.
"It worked! Thank you, Waddle Dee!"
"You’re Ali?" King Dedede said, looking down at the boy. "You said some really brazen stuff, but you're only just a kid?"
"Heh, don't look down on me. When it comes to being in prison, I’ve got way more experience than you guys!"
"Keep your attitude in check, what the hell, didn’t you get arrested too?"
"That’s a story for another time! Quickly, let’s escape." The three started running. "We’re gonna have to go through the window, we can't escape from the front," Ali said.
"Alright!"
The three continued running through the increasingly complex, maze-like corridors. Then, suddenly, "UUUUU——!" the sharp sound of a siren resounded. Ali grimaced.
"That guard from before has sounded the alarm. Not good, pursuers will come!"
Before he could even finish his sentence, a great number of footsteps and voices drew near.
"What's going on!? Why’s the alarm going off!?"
"What’s happened!?"
"Come on! Hurry!" Ali shouted.
King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee frantically sped up. When they turned the next corner, they saw an open window before them. Beyond was the sunset sky.
"Let’s escape from there!"
Then, there were shouts and soldiers appeared.
"Huhh!? Escapees—!"
"Capture them—!" The soldiers rushed in and attacked.
"Waaaah!" Ali curled in on himself in a panic, however, King Dedede did not flinch at all.
"Huahh! Ali, Waddle Dee, get behind me!"
King Dedede balled his fists and struck the floor with all his might. It cracked loudly as it split into pieces.
The soldiers cowered in fright.
"What tremendous strength!"
"Watch out! He's strong!"
Bandana Waddle Dee jumped out when the soldiers drew back.
"HUAAAAH!" He took advantage of his small stature to boldly slip between the soldier’s legs.
"Huuhhh!? T–The prisoner’s at our feet ...!? "
"A-Aughh! Stop! He keeps moving ...! "
The soldiers bent over, bumping heads trying to not let Bandana Waddle Dee out of their sight as they tried to catch him.
"Well done, Waddle Dee! C’mon, after me!" King Dedede headed towards the open window and jumped, grandly.
"Yes! Ali, you hold on too!" Bandana Waddle Dee grabbed Ali's hand with one of his own and King Dedede's robe with the other. King Dedede, with Bandana Waddle Dee and Ali at his side, were all out. However, as soon as they entered the open air, King Dedede's eyes widened in surprise.
There was no ground at their feet. He had inadvertently forgotten that this was the top floor of the tower.
"What the—! My hovering ...! "
King Dedede took a deep breath, inhaling. Under normal circumstances, he’d be able to carry the weight of those such as Bandana Waddle Dee and Ali just fine, but now, King Dedede was starving. He had no strength left in him and started falling straight down, headfirst! Ali and Bandana Waddle Dee screamed.
"HYAAAAAAA!"
"GREAT KINGGGGGG!"
SPLASH——!!
The three broke the water’s surface violently, falling into the river running just under the window.

Litha 2021
Litha (Midsummer or Summer Solstice) falls on Sunday, June 20th, and is a joyous time of celebration with enjoyment of the earth and all that is in it.
The power of the sun is in full force, and its rays have brought abundance and prosperity to the earth since it began gaining more strength at Yule.
This is a time to be joyful in the abundance of the earth and to gather around you the things that will bring you prosperity for the year to come.
This is the best time to work in the sun and even with the ocean (if you live near one that is). Bask in the warm of the sun and take in his energy. This festivities start June 19 and end on the 23rd of the same month.
It's time to fire up the grill, pull out the sprinklers and enjoy the celebrations! Depending on your individual spiritual path, there are many different ways you can celebrate Litha, but the focus is nearly always on celebrating the power of the sun. It's the time of year when the crops are growing and the earth has warmed up. We can spend long sunny afternoons enjoying the outdoors, and getting back to nature under the long daylight hours.
Here are 10 Deities of Litha or Summer Solstice. Do keep in mind these are not the only deities you can honor this time of year.
Amaterasu (Shinto): This solar goddess is the sister of the moon deity and the storm god of Japan, and is known as the goddess "from which all light comes". She is much loved by her worshippers and treats them with warmth and compassion. Every year in July, she is celebrated in the streets of Japan.
Aten (Egypt): This god was at one point an aspect of Ra, but rather than being depicted as an anthropomorphic being (like most of the other ancient Egyptian gods), Aten was represented by the disc of the sun, with rays of light emanating outward. Although his early origins aren't quite known - he may have been a localized, provincial deity - Aten soon became known as the creator of mankind. In the Book of the Dead, he is honored with "Hail, Aten, thou lord of beams of light, when thou shinest, all faces live."
Apollo (Greek): The son of Zeus by Leto, Apollo was a multi-faceted god. In addition to being the god of the sun, he also presided over music, medicine, and healing. He was at one point identified with Helios. As the worship of him spread throughout the Roman empire into the British Isles, he took on many of the aspects of the Celtic deities and was seen as a god of the sun and of healing.
Hestia (Greek): This goddess watched over domesticity and the family. She was given the first offering at any sacrifice made in the home. On a public level, the local town hall served as a shrine for her -- any time a new settlement was formed, a flame from the public hearth was taken to the new village from the old one.
Horus (Egyptian): Horus was one of the solar deities of the ancient Egyptians. He rose and set every day, and is often associated with Nut, the sky god. Horus later became connected with another sun god, Ra.
Huitzilopochtli (Aztec): This warrior god of the ancient Aztecs was a sun god and the patron of the city of Tenochtitlan. He battled with Nanahuatzin, an earlier solar god. Huitzilopochtli fought against darkness and required his worshipers to make regular sacrifices to ensure the sun's survival over the next fifty-two years, which is a significant number in Mesoamerican myths.
Juno (Roman): She is also called Juno Luna and blesses women with the privilege of menstruation. The month of June was named for her, and because Juno was the patroness of marriage, her month remains an ever-popular time for weddings and handfasting.
Lugh (Celtic): Similar to the Roman god Mercury, Lugh was known as a god of both skill and the distribution of talent. He is sometimes associated with midsummer because of his role as a harvest god, and during the summer solstice the crops are flourishing, waiting to be plucked from the ground at Lughnasadh.
Sulis Minerva (Celtic, Roman): When the Romans occupied the British Isles, they took the aspects of the Celtic sun goddess, Sulis, and blended her with their own goddess of wisdom, Minerva. The resulting combination was Sulis Minerva, who watched over the hot springs and sacred waters in the town of Bath.
Sunna or Sol (Germanic): Little is known about this Norse goddess of the sun, but she appears in the Poetic Eddas as the sister of the moon god. Author and artist Thalia Took says, "Sól ("Mistress Sun"), drives the chariot of the Sun across the sky every day. Pulled by the horses Allsvinn ("Very Fast") and Arvak ("Early Rising"), the Sun-chariot is pursued by the wolf Skoll... She is the sister of Måni, the Moon-god, and the wife of Glaur or Glen ("Shine"). As Sunna, She is a healer."

Carnonos, to me, is primarily a death god/psychopomp/world-traveler/liminal god with some prosperity aspects linked to the mysterious treasures of the Otherworld.
I'm quite certain that Nantosuelta is *also* primarily a cthonic goddess with heavy death aspects. She directs the natural riches of the cthonic Otherworld up towards us and her valley is where humans and animals of the Middle World go when they die. Warm and lush, earthy and peaceful.
I've moved away from Sucellos having to do with death/afterlife connotations as I believe that he has more to do with earthly agricultural/pastoral/rustic prosperity. Fields and farms and herds and crops. He may be the receiver of the cthonic riches that Nantosuelta directs- who distributes the riches in the Middle World and protects them. So that would make him more of a terrestrial deity to me.
Sirona is a healing goddess of cool waters, a goddess of purification, of calm. Shed actually one of the few deities that I've never questions her exact functions or aspects! She has liminal qualities and was known to have a healing cult in Gallo-Roman times.
Suluevia is a guardian spirit of people and places, like a guardian angel in a way. She's always with you and watching over you.
Artiu is a goddess I'm working on learning more about. Same with Cathubodua.

Huichol Yarn, Deer, Eagle Shaman & Sun Eagle Talon Abraxas
A GUIDE TO HUICHOL SYMBOLOGY SHAMANS - The spiritual leaders who are ambassadors to the gods, shamans preside over ceremonies, recite the divine passages, cure the sick, interpret dreams, etc.

Summary:
The sorcerer is tied to the pyre like so many before him, but magic itself cannot burn.
A wind moves over the crowded courtyard, eerie and whispering. It rustles through skirts and tunics, gives life to the leaves resting on the cobbled ground, carries with it the murmured words of those gathering around the wooden structure. The pyre stands proud and tall, as does the King on his arching balcony as he makes a proclamation of the ruthlessness of magic and the corruption of those who practice it. He stands alone, for the Prince and the King’s Ward are nowhere to be seen. The wind takes his words and distorts them, leaving little more than a whisper to reach the ears of those who stand below him.
The sorcerer shows no fear, as he is lead and tied to the pyre. On wood and sticks and dried grass he stands, chin held high and face set in an expression of apathy, as if he does not wish to, will not, give the King and his executioner — and the people, perhaps — the satisfaction of letting them see the fear that they wish to. He is young, surely not more than twenty summers old, and looks none the part of the wicked wizard the King has claimed him to be. But then, perhaps they never do.
“Do you have any final words, sorcerer?” the King calls, even though, in his eyes, the young sorcerer’s words hold no value. Perhaps it is a small act of mercy, or a far cry for confirmation, for the sorcerer to affirm his beliefs for the kingdom to see.
The sorcerer says nothing.
The King orders the execution with a wave of his hand, the pyre is lit, and the crowd waits with bated breath for the sorcerer to be set alight with it. The fire engulfs him, and for one moment he is gone with the flames, his body swallowed by the burning embers. There are no screams; not a single sound permeates the courtyard except the crackling of burning wood, the wind whipping against the flags hung about the castle, the faraway sounds of life just beyond the castle walls. The silence is almost deafening, in its rarity.
And then, much like the devil rising from the ashes of hell, the flames part like an amber veil, and within them the sorcerer stands, arms stretched wide and palms facing the sky. His expression is stone and the fire in his golden eyes set on the King burn with the same fervour as the flames around him.
“You cannot kill me with flames for I was born out of fire, born out of the smoke that took the lives of so many of those that came before me.” His voice booms across the stone, echoes and rebounds against the castle walls, rumbles underneath the people’s feet. The flames around him move with it, flickering around him, licking at his feet and arms and his back without inflicting any pain.
“I cannot be killed by your petty hand for I carry the souls of the hundreds that you have murdered. Their strength and their power lie within me, have grown since the day of my birth.”
The fire around him moves in tandem with his words. The flames form creatures and monsters and human figures, dancing and bright. The overcast sky rumbles.
“I am all my kin reincarnate. I am their strength, their power, their love, and their hate. I am magic itself.”
Lightning illuminates the sky, crackles against the towers of the castle. Thunder follows.
“You may have outlawed my existence, banished me from these lands, slaughtered my kind, but mark my words, Uther Pendragon, you will never rid me from the earth, and one day, when you are no longer king and a better man has taken your place, I will once again exists freely on the streets and in the forests and across the fields of Camelot.”
The fire roars as it stretches towards the sky, swallowing the sorcerer in its burning jaws. Lightning showers down around them, leaving scorching marks upon the cobbled ground and the stone walls, and thunder shakes the earth and leaves the structures trembling. The wind howls and the flags snap sharply against their staffs. It is as if nature itself is crying, outraged and anguished, proclaiming its dismay and aggravation with the ways of men.
And then, in a single breath, the fire turns to nothing and the clouds leave the sky and the thunder quiets and the lightning ceases and the wind turns into a tranquil breeze. The marks on the grounds and the walls are nowhere to be seen, the pyre stands unlit and unburnt, and the world moves on as if untouched.
The sorcerer is gone, but his magic — strong, potent, blessed to those who know not to fear it — leaves a trail, permeates through the air. A red neckerchief flutters in the wind from where it is tied to the top of the pyre, not a declaration of war, but a reminder. A warning for those who condemn it and a promise to those who reverent the old ways.
Weeks and months and years pass and life in Camelot flourishes. Fields that had once been claimed dead and infertile carry crops in amounts never before seen. Rain falls to water the fields and replenish water supplies, but floods are but a distant memory. Disease and sickness do not touch her people, nor do famine and drought. Natural creatures live in harmony with those of tales and monsters are rarely seen. Nature is in harmony and only the vice of man can turn life into death and love into hatred, turn peace into war. But even when self-inflicted war rages across the lands of Camelot, the world rises to fight alongside the knights and warriors of the kingdom, and when the battles are won the broken city and the damaged villages are repaired faster than any mortal man can work.
The flowers bloom in Camelot year after year, even as sorcerers and witches burn on the pyre, a silent protest, a reminder that magic will always exist at the heart of Camelot.
*
[And when Prince is crowned King laws are changed and magic itself is once again allowed to freely roam the kingdom of Camelot. Peace and prosperity rein the lands and Albion’s first and lasting Court Sorcerer finally returns home.]
