My take on the Tea Theory™ is that, while we were distracted checking on Susie, Ralsei had said something to greatly upset Kris, most likely relating to us and the red SOUL. And though Ralsei most likely doesn't mean anything malicious (and Kris assumably understands that, considering the amount of HP they gain is still somewhat positive), it doesn't stop intense emotions from overriding anything resembling logical reasoning.

Ralsei probably recognizes he did something wrong but, being the socially inexperienced fluffball that he is, wouldn't know how to resolve tension between himself and a friend, leading him to unhealthily neglect the elephant in the room and pray to the prophecy that it all works out.

... until he feels the need to apologize, that is.

Day 8: Elf

Jules and Verne had gone to bed, and Clara had gone out for some secret Christmas shopping, leaving Doc and Marty alone.

"I think I'm going to head home." Marty told his friend, standing up from the couch. He eyed the elf on the shelf, which was hanging over a bookshelf. "Don't forget to move the elf before Jules and Verne get up tomorrow."

Doc groaned. "I'm running out of interesting places."

"Aw, come on, there's plenty of spots." Marty replied, picking the red elf up.

"Do you want to place it this time?"

Marty looked around, rubbing his chin before breaking out in a grin.

"Verne, surely you would have found it by now!" Jules complained, now digging through bushes outside.

"Nooooo." Verne's voice shouted from inside.

Doc giggled watching his boys search tirelessly for the elf. Clara eyed him with an eyebrow raised. "You did make sure they boys could get to it, right?"

"Oh don't worry, they'll find it soon."

The boys finally gave up, coming inside in defeat to eat lunch. Around two the door opened, Marty entering and putting his keys in his pocket. "Hey guys!"

Clara walked in, eyes widening.

"Marty!" Verne exclaimed, running down the stairs. "The elf is hiding really well this time, maybe you could-" The blond haired boy stopped in his tracks when he had a good look at him.

Laying across his shoulder, taped, was the elf. And Marty just grinned proudly as Verne (and soon Jules) began to shout in surprise.

Fourteen Days of My Hero Academia

Greetings, friends! The ending has been announced for beloved shounen manga My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi, and I thought it would be a nice opportunity for everyone to express their love of this amazing series! So I am posting a series of prompts for everyone if they would like to participate in this little fandom challenge.

The idea is that, on each day listed, you will create and post something with respect to the day's theme. By create, I mean whatever your heart desires. It could be a fanfic, a fanart, a fanvid, a moodboard, a diorama, a meta post, a screenshot, a poem, a drabble, a few sentences of reflection, anything really! Whatever your brain dreams up! The only requirements are that it qualifies as some sort of fan creation for MHA and that it pertains to the day's theme. The final day of the event will be the official release date of the final chapter of MHA: August 5th, 2024.

Any given day may have multiple prompts. You do not have to do all of them (unless you really, really want to), rather you may pick the one prompt that inspires you the most! And feel free to interpret each prompt however you like. For example, on day 8, you may wish to interpret "line" as a spoken piece of dialogue or as a drawn shape such as the way Horikoshi does creative paneling. On day 11, you could interpret "name" as a nickname, a code name, the kanji in a character's name, or any special meaning in a character's name. Let your imagination run wild!

You may skip out on days if you wish or need to. You may put as much or as little time and effort into this as you like. You could start working now to make some big works, or you could use this opportunity to do a little daily journal project. The sky is the limit! The goal here is to spend some time thinking about MHA before it ends and to make a collection of little fanworks for everyone to enjoy in the process!

🦇What is Kataang Halloween?

Kataang Halloween is a one-time, three-day mini-event hosted and created by @kataang-week on Tumblr for the first time this year. (However, there is potential for it to happen again in the future.) Kataang Halloween celebrates Kataang with a Halloween theme. All prompts were chosen by the mod team.

We accept all range of works. However, bear in mind that this is an all-ages event. If your work contains themes or imagery that may be intended for older audiences, tag and warn people thoroughly. Works with adult content must have an all-ages appropriate preview.

🦇How should I tag my work?

The easiest way for us to find your work so we can reblog it to this blog is by using the tag “kataang halloween”. Using “kataang” and “kataangtag” also help. You must tag one of the three in your first five tags otherwise it doesn’t appear in the search. It is also helpful to tag us directly with @kataang-week.

Sometimes even properly tagged posts may not appear when we search the tags, so if you do not see your content reblogged, please let us know.

Once we’ve reblogged it to this blog we add our own tags (a prompt tag and a user tag) for easy organization. This means we can find all the work for one prompt or all the work from one user in one easy click (this also means that if you have changed your username since participating last year you need to let us know so we can update your tag!).

🌊Fanfic information🌊

-I currently only write for 5 groups but this may change in the future :) when I stan new groups I wait at least a month before writing fics to make sure I have the best accuracy of their personality!!

-I am constantly writing fanfics and have lots that are finished but may never be posted. If you see old teasers for fanfics and can't find them that is probably because they were left unfinished or unpublished for numerous reasons

-warnings are always listed at the top of my fanfics but if ever miss any feel free to tell me what I've missed

-in multiple-part fanfics, some readers may be reading for purely the plot but the fanfic may include sexual acts throughout. In those cases, I apply smut in the warning tags and include a dotted red line in the writing to indicate where the smut begins and ends.

-the indented section at the top of fanfics includes at least these 3 things. Warnings, (potentially triggering topics and +18 content) genre (tropes and sexual preferences mentioned in the fic) pairing (the characters that are represented in the story) other fanfics may include a synopsis, word count, and special notes for the fanfic such as culture notes or other things that will affect the story that does not fit in any of the categories of the first 3 indents.

-my content includes +18 topics but that is not to say that minors won't be on my page. I personally don't take responsibility for interaction with minors because I give warnings on all of my +18 content

-this is a safe and brave space. If you feel uncomfortable discussing certain topics in the comments simply avoid conversation with the person making you uncomfortable but if it gets to a severe extent I will block people being unreasonable with their comments

-I choose to not share too much personal information because, in my opinion, yall don't need to know everything about my life outside of writing 💀

-constructive criticism towards ME is okay but if you're criticizing others in my comments or inbox I will block you without hesitation. Azriel leaned a hip against the wall as he sipped from his glass of amber liquid. It was the good stuff—it always was the good stuff during the holidays. Rhys made sure of it.

His family had scattered throughout the sitting room, watching a toddler-sized Nyx play with all the new toys he received. His happy squeals and sweet giggles kept the adult’s attention enough for him to sneak into one of the darkened alcoves just to observe the others. And for some peace and quiet. Azriel loved his family, he really did. But they were a loud, rowdy group, of which he was not.

The only person who noticed his absence from the sitting room was the one he was hoping would seek him out. She always seemed to catch him trying to sneak away. It was one of many things they had in common.

“Hiding out?” Elain said quietly, pink lips quirking up.

Azriel slid his gaze over her body, taking in the amethyst-colored gown she wore. Her golden-brown hair glowed like a summer dawn in the gilded fae lights. She was gorgeous. He told her as much, earning a bashful smile in return.

Writing Commissions

Hi! I will probably soon no longer be fundraising, but money keeps being tight for me. As I mentioned in my recent posts, I am willing to do fanfic commissions for works I'm familiar with of about 500-1000 words for a flat rate of $15, and figured I ought to make a better reference post on that. I would like to welcome you all to the second Lautski week!

Here are the prompts, but all future plans for the event, FAQ, and notes on the survey from last week will be under the cut!

SO! First off! Thank you to everyone who responded! To the people who suggested future prompts, they’re all in consideration for future events. Except one of the alternates. I replaced one of the original alternates with “Fairy Tale” for my own sake, I salute whoever suggested that.

Surveys came pretty overwhelmingly in favor of making Lautski week a semi-annual event, with one week in the summer and one in the winter. So don’t be too surprised if this account is revived again in April/May. As long as people are interested, I’ll keep running it!

And now, some general Q&A stuff!

Q: What are alternates?

A: Alternates are two extra prompts in case one of them leaves you stumped! They can be used any day, or they can not be used at all! It’s up to each individual participant!

Q: Do I have to do all seven days?

A: You’re free to do as many as you want! You can do all seven, you can do just a few, hell, you could do all nine in you wanted! This isn’t a challenge, it’s an event. The main goal is to make some posts about this ship we’re all brainrotting for and having fun.

Q: What can I make?

A: Anything you want! Art, fics, edits, memes, etc. Nothing’s off the table.

Q: How do I post?

A: I’ll reblog anything made for the event to this blog and my main. If you’d like to be featured, please @ THIS blog. Additionally, I’d recommend tagging works with #lautski week so everyone’s works can all be found in the same place.

Q: I was late! Can I still post?

A: Of course! I’ll keep reblogging new posts tagged #lautski week and/or mention this blog through December 13!

Q: Can I post to AO3, then link it back here?

A: Absolutely! Also, I recently found out “Lautski week” was wrangled into its own tag on AO3, so I guess it’s officially recognized now 😭 Granted, it mentions my old URL and assumed it would be an annual event. Either way, Lautski Nation has truly made it I guess. But point being, yes, that’s fine!

Q: Can I post to (insert any other fanfic site here) then link it back here?

JWCT PROMPT COUNTDOWN

Jwct countdown May 14-15 -> favorite ship:

There's not enough words to express how much I love Yasammy. They are by far my favorite ship ever and not a day goes by that I don't think about them two. Sapphic relationships are so scarce in media, especially in children's/younger media so I enjoy every one but these two just have a special place in my heart. I saw my cousins watching some of season 1 one day and I just knew that they had chemistry/were going to get together and that's when I knew I had to watch the show. For the fanfic I'm writing, I only have the moments where they don't know each other and when they're fighting but I don't want that to be my Yasammy post. What else I do have is much deeper into the story and I don't want to reveal that much just yet so I wrote this new little scene between them. It's not at all finished but I wanted it to be on time so I'll probably post the full version somewhere in the near future.

Sammy’s heart is racing outside of the airport baggage claim more than it ever has on Isla Nublar. At any moment, Yaz would walk out of those doors and it’ll be Sammy’s first time seeing her in person in a year. They’ve both been busy with school and family so meeting up was virtually impossible. Sure, they’ve texted, called, and facetimed—the holy trinity in long-distance relationships—but for Sammy, who loves to hug, kiss, and touch, it wasn’t enough. 

So when Yaz walks out the shriek that Sammy lets out is loud. “Yaz! Over here!”

It’s impossible to miss Sammy’s voice and when Yasmina turns her head, brown hair swinging, her face breaks into a grin at the sight of Sammy standing there waiting for her. Seeing Yaz there smiling makes Sammy smile and soon enough she’s running over to Yaz and engulfing her in a hug. 

The impact almost knocks Yaz off her feet but still she’s grinning, hugging Sammy back and pressing her face into the crook of her neck. She inhales and the scent of cinnamon fills her nose. “I missed you so much,” Yaz whispers. 

They stand like that for a while but when they pull away it feels like a moment cut too short. Sammy wipes her eyes which have gone a little wet until Yaz cups Sammy’s face in her soft hands and swipes the tears away for her. 

Yaz then drops her hand to hold Sammy’s and asks, “Where are your parents?”

“I’m driving us,” Sammy says, swinging the keys to her family’s truck on her index finger. She got her license quite a few months ago but it took a lot of convincing to get her parents to let her drive all by herself to pick up Yaz. They’ve got something against Sammy going to the airport alone; trust issues probably from the time she ran off to Jurassic World. Not one of her proudest moments but it gave her Yaz. 

Yasmina’s mouth falls open in surprise. “No way, you actually convinced them?       

Sammy smiles. “I can be pretty persuasive. How’d you think I got you to come outta’ your shell?”

hi all, thought i would make a quick post introducing myself — i go by Lance online (he/him) and i’m a reader/writer/artist, an old hat at fandom, and a newly minted spideypool shipper. i like to post little bits and pieces that get stuck in my head, memes, ideas/prompts, and reblog lots of art.

eventually i may post my own art/writing but at this stage i’m just here to look! — this blog is run by an adult (i am in my mid 20’s) and for other adults.

it isn’t specifically nsfw so i put 18+ in my bio because i don’t want to expose any minors to nsfw content that i may post/reblog in the future. in saying that, i used to be a minor in fandom spaces and i understand that an 18+ warning can’t keep them out so whatever.

i’m incredibly cool/comfortable with pretty much any ship (particularly surrounding spidey and ‘pool, so if you’re a poolverine shipper, etc etc. hello and welcome. i have many peripheral ships and will likely engage with those (scott/logan, peter/johnny, peter/mj, wade/almost anyone…)

another thing— i don’t care what versions of peter and what deadpool get shipped together. when i’m talking about spider-man i’m usually thinking mcu spidey because civil war/hoco came out when i was a teenager, and although i grew up with tobey and andrew’s spidermen, i got very attached to tom’s spidey and he’s the one who stuck with me. i usually mix canon when i’m discussing spideypool (combining all of the spider men’s movie plots, spider-man and deadpool’s comics, deadpool’s movies, etc.) feel free to imagine whoever or whatever you want!

IN SAYING THAT — i keep having to remind folks that mcu!spider-man/tom holland’s spider-man is officially born in 2001 and therefore 23 as of the time i’m making this post. he’s not a minor so please stop jumping on my ass about this 🙏 in any case, he’s a fictional character, just let people live.
