COUNTER COUNTER PROTEST SUN 11.30AM PARLIAMENT

NEVER AGAIN MEANS GAZA 🇵🇸

This Sunday, racist opponents are holding a "Never Again Is Now" rally in solidarity with the Zionist entity currently enacting genocide in Palestine. Politicians addressing the rally will reiterate that they stand with Israel while it drops bombs over Gaza.

Western nations failed to prevent the Holocaust and "again" are failing to prevent the systemised torture, starvation and mass murder of a people.

We must directly counter Zionism, fascism and the political forces that express support for genocide and racism in society.

Zionism is a racist, colonial ideology. As Jews and Palestinians, we stand against all forms of racism and all colonial, imperial violence justified through dehumanisation and hate and allowed to be mainstream.

Join the counter counter protest to the Free Palestine rallies, to say that today, "never again" includes Gaza.

Never again means respecting the memory and lessons of the Holocaust.

This could be written by someone who's in an abusive relationship and it's a quiet interesting choice that Stoker gave this part to a young man. Also Dracula has to know that at this moment Jonathan knows how powerful he is and therefore uses this deliberately which also fits into the 'abusive relationship' interpretative approach.

The use of "it would be madness" stands out as well imo: if I'm not totally wrong (pls correct me in this case), back in 1897 many believed that only women suffer from mental diseases - so Jonathan fearing to go mad etc. is pretty much a contrast to these believes.

"Something may occur which will give me a chance to escape."

I thinks it's poignant that Jonathan still hopes but isn't sure if there's still an opportunity for him. Despite everything he endures and is unwilling to give up.

"I know now the span of my life. God help me!"

When I read Dracula the first time, this line made me shudder and it still does.

In 2022: My Chemical Romance performed their third show of the 2022-2023 Swarm tour in Milton Keynes, England. This show was the only show of the tour to feature “Goodnite, Dr. Death”, which was played as a recording between the first and second encore. Gerard Way wore a bloodied white suit with the words “∞ Meta” written on a face mask, and a single tally mark was written on the drums. (🖤)

Remus returned to the dorm that evening and James had to cast a silencing charm around their bed. 

Sirius had not disappointed with his plan. James personally thought it was going to be hilarious. It involved painting hundreds of wild boar and then enchanting the paint so the beasts could roam. That many animals let loose in Hogwarts's art collection would result in total chaos. Sirius had already started sketching out the boar on a long reel of parchment. He’d said he was going to fill it and that there should be enough. 

“Why don’t you use a replication charm?” Remus suggested when they’d filled him in on the plan. “That way you only have to paint one perfect one, and you can fill the parchment quicker?” 

“Ah, but you see, dear Remus, where would the fun be in that? Anyone could just do that. I’m going to pour my blood, sweat and tears into this prank. It will be the jewel in my crown, the proverbial feather in my cap, my legacy. The marauder who let loose hogs at Hogwarts. They’re going to have to bring in a specialist just to get rid of them.” Sirius seemed pretty set on his plan, so they left him to it.

“How’s my delinquent brother getting on with his graffiti plan?” Regulus asked James one evening in the Come and go room as he added the next silver teaspoon of dew. One more and then the moth chrysalis and that would be another step over with. 

“Actually, it’s going really well. He’s got a solid plan and so far it’s going great.” Sirius had owl ordered the paint he needed from Diagon Alley and smartly had it sent to their dorm, as the three owls that held up all the paint he’d bought would have had McGonagall breathing down their necks before the birds even landed. He explained the entire prank to Regulus, including how Sirius was determined to hand paint every single boar. 

“That’s actually quite impressive,�� He told James. “Do not tell Sirius I said that.” He pointed a finger at James in warning. “I could brew a potion that would make it near impossible to erase them from the rest of the portraits.”

“I thought you didn’t want anything to do with our pranks?” James teased. 

“Shut up,” Regulus sulked. James pulled him onto his lap and nuzzled his nose into Regulus’s collar, making the other boy squirm when it tickled. 

“We’ll make a marauder out of you yet, love.” James crooned as he captured Regulus’s lips with his.
