I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite parts of October is watching all the classic spooky season movies I grew up with. It brings back all those fond memories of childhood fall festivities, Halloween costume planning, and the joy of filling up your candy bucket while trick-or-treating (even if you had to fight your mom about wearing a jacket with your costume because it was too cold). If you like Hocus Pocus (1993), then you might like Dead Man’s Float   

While there might not be a big musical number led by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy in the middle of Dead Man’s Float, this story will surely leave you gasping for air. There is no doubt that Hocus Pocus is one of the most classic Halloween movies of all time, as the dubious Max unleashes the iconic Sanderson sisters to enact their revenge on Salem. Shawn Sarles' haunting YA horror novel follows this same hair-raising idea, except this time, a seemingly harmless prank unleashes a ghost with unfinished business and intent on finding its killer. Black Cat PS4 theme

Premise: All Peter Parker wanted was to have a normal life—but that doesn’t happen when you’re New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. He tries to fix it, but makes it worse resulting in multiversal beings from other worlds to enter his universe. Now he’s on the hunt to stop them from causing chaos. After unsuccessfully catching a woman with a knack for bad luck, Peter finds out there’s a tragic ending to these visitors stories—including hers.

Note: this is NOT in association with my tobey!peter x black cat!reader saga. It is a separate work. This is an idea I had while writing the original series where the reader is still the version of Felicia Hardy from tobeys universe & they had history, but unlike how their life ended up in my stories this version of black cat!reader had a different path. I don’t want to spoil in this note, so i hope you enjoy.

“Run it by me again,” Mj spoke through the phone with a concerned tone. “This woman knew who you were—or at least you were Spider-Man. She had a grappling hook. And every time you got close to her something happened causing you to lose her?”

“Yes,” Peter groaned, walking towards the Sanctum where Mj and Ned were. The boy was exhausted and annoyed he was unable to catch the mysterious woman with white hair. She appeared out of nowhere when he finished up sending the electric and sand guy to the Sanctum using the device Strange equipped him with.

He had just got back to the city, dropping a few streets away so he could change out of his suit in an nearby alley when suddenly a small black cat was nuzzling up his legs. Of course he started cooing at the animal—reaching down to pet it. “Hey little guy,” he said in a baby voice, hearing the soft purrs, “You must be a long way from home—,” his voice drops in a whisper, “—you’re not the only one.”

Unbeknownst to the teen, a door behind him silently opened and a leg clad in a thigh high black leather-heeled boot stepped out, a matching on following behind. The figure strutted to the middle of the alley directly behind Peter, adorned in black skirt, white button down blouse paired with a black flowy trench coat. White hair fell in long waves on her back, blood red painted her lips.

The tiny cat that had been nuzzling Peter—still clad in his spidey suit—dashed away from him toward the unknown person. Peters eyes followed the animal, and it was then he finally noticed he wasn’t alone. It caused him to freeze, feeling his spidey-senses go off in an alarming rate.

The woman standing before him was someone he didn’t recognize, but the look she had indicated she at least had knowledge of him. With his identity exposed it shouldn’t surprise him. She appeared to be not much older than him—probably in her mid twenties if Peter had to guess. He noticed she was smirking—almost like she was amused by the situation.

“I’ve always had a thing for strays,” her voice was light, and held a playful tone. Peter saw her eyes flicker to the black cat by her leg, “—especially for black cats. They always seem to be the loneliest of house cats and are the ones less likely to find homes. Reminds me how similar we are, considering I’ve felt like that way my entire life. And boy did you sure made that feel true, spider.” Now her voice turned menacing, the smirk gone and replaced with a glare.

This sparked dread in Peter, realizing this woman was another visitor—one who was not on good terms with their Spider-Man. He didn’t know what the version of him did to her, but knew it wasn’t good. One thing he learned from the past two days dealing with these other world beings is to not underestimate them.

She may not have looked threatening, but he didn’t know who she was and what she was capable of.

“I see you got a new suit,” her eyes traveled his body—not looking impressed by what she was seeing, “Did Mj make it for you? I mean her fashion sense has always been her weakest point—sad to see you fell victim to it. Almost thought you were Eddie for a second.”

“Miss,” Peter raised a hesitant hand, seeing a reaction from her by his voice. The glare slightly fell, confusion taking over so Peter continued hoping to explain to her what was happening. “H-hi. I know this is probably confusing to you, but I’m not your Peter.”

That had her attention. “What?” She tilted her head, processing the information, “What do you mean by that? Don’t play fucking games with me, Parker. You know how that usually ends for you.” Her hand went to her side like she was reaching for something. It made Peter stiffen and take a small step back—raising his other hand to calm her.

“W-wait—wait I can show you!” A hand came up to pull off his mask, revealing he was telling the truth. The woman immediately reacted. Her eyes went wide, a gasp echoed as shock filled her veins. It was like she was seeing her least favorite character appear in a movie—unexpected and unwanted.

“What the hell?” An accusing finger was pointed at him, her voice harsh, “Who are you!”

“I’m Peter,” he defended, taking a small step forward but stoping when she reacted by reaching back to her side, “I’m Peter Parker—Spider-Man from this world.”

“This world?” She said as if she didn’t believe him.

“Yes. This is not your universe—I’m telling you the truth! I-I accidentally brought you here by mistake and I can get you back home.” Peter waited for her to say something as the news set in. She then looked around, trying to figure out if she was really in New York, because it was hard processing that if the person standing in front of her was Peter Parker. But not the Peter she knew.

“This is New York—you are in New York just not the one you know, Miss….I’m sorry I don’t know your name,” he scratched the back of his neck. The woman spun back to him, a shaky breath leaving her. He could tell she was still confused—maybe even frightened.

“Y/n,” she said lowly—retaking her defensive stance, glancing over the boy once more. She realized he was in fact telling the truth and didn’t know who she was. “Tell me what’s going on. You said you’re not my Peter and this isn’t the New York I’m from. What the hell does that mean and how did I get here?” She looked around once more, “What year is it? Is it still two-thousand six here?”

Peter was definitely surprised to hear the last question. “It’s twenty-twenty-three, Y/n.” He could see her shoulders deflate, aware of the anxiety forming on her face when she repeated the year under her breath. He gave her a comforting smile, “This is a different universe. I am Peter Parker—Spider-Man from this world. You know a Peter from your world who’s Spider-Man and got pulled in here because of a spell gone wrong.”

“Spell?” She repeated with surprise, “You mean like a magic spell? A magician brought me here?”

Peter gave a shrug, trying not to laugh at Strange being called a magician, “He’s a master of mystic arts—magic is a thing here. Anyway, he’s working on a way to get you all back home.” There was another shocked reaction from her.

“I’m not the only one?”

“No, there’s a few. If you come with me I can take you to where they are. It will be safe for you for the time being.” For some reason that didn’t seem to comfort her. In fact, it made her more threatened and her eyes narrowed.

“No,” her voice went low, causing a chill to run through Peter, “I don’t know you—and the Peter I know isn’t exactly my friend so any trust to you is nonexistent.” Peter eyed her carefully, tensing when her hand went back to her side to reach for something. He heard a click causing him to arm the device on his arm to send her to the sanctum.

“It doesn’t have to be like this, Y/n. I can help you.”

Her glare didn’t falter, “I’ve heard that one before. Sorry, little spider, but you’ll have to catch me in order to take me to your leader,” she looked amused by her own joke and Peter didn’t have time to react before her hand shot upward to the sky. A grappling hook was in her grasp, pulling her off the ground and to the roof of the building to her right.

Peter was blown away, taking a moment to process what had happened before shaking it off, “Can’t I ever get a break?”

The teen thought it would be an easy task to catch the woman. But she sure knew how to work that grappling hook. Peter was swinging through the air after her or having to chase on foot whenever she landed on a roof and even dropped to the streets.

It was becoming exhausting. Peter hadn’t had much sleep and was so drained he felt he could take a year long nap. It didn’t help that every time he got close to her there would be an obstacle suddenly in the way. At one point she managed to slide under a wheeling vendor cart which had popped around the corner, but Peter ended up running straight into it. Oranges and apples flew everywhere, the boy groaning when he landed on his back with wood toppling him.

This happened several times where he found himself running into objects or people. Even as so far as to almost getting hit by a damn car.

Then at one point he was doing hand to hand combat against her. She was more trained than he thought—even using the grappling hook to tangle his legs with rope and pull him to the ground. Peter didn’t want to fight her. He even was apologizing while begging her to listen and just come with him. “Y/n please I-I can help you—ow!” He moaned when she landed a harsh blow to his gut, “—I don’t want to hurt you! Just let me take you to Strange and you can go home!”

Y/n wasn’t having it. “No thanks, other spider. I will handle this on my own—I don’t want your help.” He continued to dodge her attacks, and she was good at dodging his so it looked like they were practically dancing around each other.

They were close to the edge. Peter not realizing just how close they were until Y/n did a roundhouse kick to his chest—the action making him topple over. “AHH!!” He screamed, extending his hand to shoot a web. The fluid launched, catching on the light post and swung Peter away until he safely landed on his feet.

Without hesitating Peter shot back up to the roof, but was met with disappointment. Y/n was nowhere in sight. Nothing left behind to give an indication where she went. She could’ve went to the roof of the skyscraper, the back alley or was even hiding close by in a nearby building.

Either way Peter was at a loss.

With a tired exhale, Peter shook off the feeling and turned back in the direction to the Sanctum. He didn’t feel like swinging—instead walking the distance to clear his head. The encounter with Y/n raised questions. He wondered what the version of him could’ve done to make her hate him. It was obvious there was hostility.

Then there was the fact she was pulled from 2007. It was almost seventeen years since that year and wondered what point in time the others had been. Something tells him in his gut he’s not going to like the answers. The only one who wasn’t hostile at first was Flint—until Peter sent him and the electric guy to the sanctum

Suddenly the sound of his phone was pulling him from his thoughts. Mjs name was on the screen, Peter immediately answering it and telling her he was coming back before relaying the events he just went through. To say she was shocked was an understatement. Mj would’ve thought Peter had no problem catching the woman, but there’s a first for everything.

After getting off the phone with Mj, Peter received a call from May which led to him speeding his way to F.E.A.S.T. Norman Osborn—aka the flying green elf he saw on the bridge, was currently there and Peter dreaded the thought of May being alone with him. Peter was expecting to see the man decked in his shiny green getup when he stormed his way into the kitchen, but found a normal looking guy looking confused as ever.

“He’s lost,” May said under breath, approaching Peter. “—and I don’t mean just in the cosmos—I mean in his mind.” She brought her finger to her temple, before looking back at Norman. “Are they all like this?” May asked with a worried expression, making Peter glance again at the man.

“Yeah.”

“Yeah?”

“Well I mean they all have their own mental and physical issues,” Peter then thought back to Y/n, “The one I lost today I’m still trying to figure her out.”

“Her?” The news of a woman amongst the group of visitors came as a shock to May. Peter nodded, feeling his shoulders slump.

“Yeah, I don’t know much just she and her Peter are not on good terms. She’s got quiet the talent for causing bad luck—I don’t know if it’s something she controls, but it gives her an advance when it comes to escaping.”

May frowned, “Maybe she needs help,” her eyes then flicker to Norman, “He needs help—maybe they all do.”

The insinuation had Peter shaking his head—not liking the idea May was implying. “Wait you don’t mean—May this isn’t my problem.”

“Peter, not your problem?” her hands go to his shoulders, “hmm?” Peter was still adamant on his stance.

“May, their chance of getting help is way back where they came from. Sending them home, that’s the best thing we can do for them.”

“For them?” She repeated with a thoughtful look, “or for yourself? Look around you,” May gestures to the F.E.A.S.T building, “—this is what we do. We help people.”

“This is what’s best. For them.” Peter pleaded with his aunt, “trust me.”

Once settling that issue with May driving the two back to the sanctum—May giving the boy more encouraging words of advice, Peter guided Norman to the underground basement. He was met with Ned and MJ who immediately pulled him away while Norman walked toward the lower portion of the room.

When his eyes settled on a familiar head of hair, Normans expression changed. He couldn’t sworn it was his longtime friend and colleague, but the mechanical arms attached to his back was a new sight. Norman’s head tilted, drawing closer to the cubicle. “Octavius?”

The man in front of him visibly stiffened. The familiar voice brought chills to Otto Octavius—it had been years since he’d heard it. He turned around, stunned to have his eyes land on Norman Osborn in the flesh. Looking like he hadn’t even aged a day. “Osborn?”

Normans eyes traveled over the mechanical arms surrounding Otto, feeling concerned for his old friend. “What-what happened to you?”

“What happened to—,” Otto stopped himself before eventually getting the words eating at him off his chest, “You’re the walking corpse.”

“Wh-what do you mean?” The accusation confused the scientist, not understanding the context.

“You died, Norman. Years ago.” Neither had saw Peter lifting his head. The words caught the attention of the teen, remembering how Otto had mentioned he’d be chasing a ghost, but not realizing he actually meant it. He wasn’t the only one in disbelief by what he was hearing. Norman just looked at Otto like he was crazy saying, “You’re insane.”

“God I love it here,” Max muses from the side, eyes full of amusement.

“What are you talking about?” Peter, no longer sitting, walks toward the area housing the group while looking between the two scientists. “He’s standing right there. He’s not—.”

“Dead.” A new voice entered the picture, causing everyone to turn in the direction of it. Peter spun around to see Y/n standing in the doorway, expression in disbelief at the scene in front of her. Peter was surprised Y/n was even there—especially with their little encounter just hours earlier. She gave him the vibe she just wanted to stay alone and let everything play out. It was silent as she walked forward, the woman not taking her eyes off of Otto and Norman. “They both died, fighting Spider-Man.” Y/ns voice was low, but because of how quiet it was the sound echoed. “This is insane. H-how are you two here right now?”

“W-what?” Peter was the first to find his voice. He noticed the two scientists were staring back at Y/n, like they were shocked to see her.

“Y/n?” Norman was in disbelief, confusion filling him when she slightly flinched when he said her name. Y/n had briefly met Norman because she and Harry had been partners on several projects in school. So she was often at their house whenever they were working together. The woman was silent—still processing the fact Norman was standing in front of her alive and well, soon Flint is the one to break the silence.

“She’s right,” all eyes turn to him as he continues. “It was all over the news. The Green Goblin—impaled on the glider you flew around on. And a couple of years later, you—Doc Ock, drowned in the river with your machine,” Flints voice trails off, looking to Y/n who tensed when the mans attention on her—ignoring when Otto shouted, ‘that’s absurd!’

Y/n realized then he was looking at her like he was seeing a ghost. The same way she was towards Norman & Otto....oh-oh no. “Why you giving me that look, sandy? I thought we had some kind of understanding with each other—.” The next words to leave Flints mouth were enough to remove all the air from her body.

“You died too, Y/n. The Black Cat’s body was found being held by Spider-Man shortly after the fight between him, you, Eddie Brock and myself on a construction site holding Mary Jane Watson hostage.”

If one could picture the anxiety one would feel if they could see an asteroid about to hit Earth, then Y/n was feeling it now. Peter saw the life drain from her face, head shaking like she was refusing to hear it. “N-no,” she laughed, but it was wavered. The tone as if she thought he was crazy for saying something so foolish. “No-no-no. That’s not a funny joke,” her laugh seized when she saw how serious he was. “You’re making that up, Marko.”

“I’m sorry,” Flints voice held regret making Peter frown. He did not like the feeling swarming through him at the thought these people would die fighting Spider-Man. And something told him the death of Y/n would be more personal, considering the reaction by her and Flint.

“Don’t say that,” she hissed, eyes flashing. “You’re just saying that to scare me—y-you’re from my time aren’t you.”

Flint denied with a shake of head, making her fill with dread. “No. I’m not, Y/n. I’m from this current year—twenty-twenty-three. Everything you last remember took place seventeen years ago for me.”

Y/n was having trouble believing the Sandman. Her arm was waving in front of her like she wanted him to stop talking—not accepting the fate he just bestowed on her. “B-but—but—no. No! That’s not true—w-we could’ve—what we planned—,” Y/n paused, feeling shame when she remembered the last conversation she and Flint had. “Peter would never kill me. There’s no way—h-he wouldn’t. W-would he?” Her hands were shaking, the thought scaring her, “How—.”

“He didn’t kill you,” he cut her off before she could jump to conclusions.

A small sense of relief swarmed at that, but it didn’t change the anguish consuming her. Eventually it became overpowering causing her to snap, “Then how goddammit!?” Hell everyone flinched at the outburst—but couldn’t blame Y/n. After all she just found out she dies in her timeline.

“You had a change of heart,” Flint explains, his expression sympathetic despite in sand form. The confession had her speechless, a tsunami of emotions filling her while he continued. “You did agree to help us, Y/n, but there was no denying you loved Peter—even though he hurt you.” He saw her wince, eyes closing as the sudden heartache she felt. “Seeing him helpless and realizing you two just couldn’t be together because of conflicting lives, you protected him at the last second—even pulling Mary Jane to safety.”

It was so quiet one could hear a pin drop. The words settling over the atmosphere. Peter’s attention was on Y/n, watching for her reaction. Her expression had changed drastically. Instead of rejecting Flints claims Y/n simply let her eyes fall to the ground—blank of emotion, although Peter could see a slight gloss to them. “H-how….?” She didn’t finish the sentence, like she was hesitant to really know.

And the over looming question why Peter didn’t save her.

Flint frowned, looking away briefly before giving her one last final blow. Even Peter was stunned still by Flints final words, “Your neck was snapped and thrown off the building by Eddie as the symbiote. He had Peter webbed up—ready to kill him. You tried to fight it off, but it was stronger. I’m sorry, Y/n.”

A/N: I was inspired by @davidlikesboys02’s story, Sweet Tooth, that I wanted to create one too.

Pairing: Parker Caine x Male reader

“I’m telling you, Mags, this look isn’t for me,” Y/N says, frowning at his reflection in the mirror. He was dressed like a firefighter, only he didn't have a shirt on leaving his bare chest exposed. The stupid costume only came with suspenders, pants, and a hat.

His sister was hosting a Kappa Halloween party here at the house tonight and Y/N opted on staying in his room until it was all over, but Maggie wouldn't hear of it. She wanted to push her brother outside of his comfort zone and what better way than to mingle with people at a party? She was dressed in a purple ball gown, a star tiara on her head.

“Will you stop fussing? You look fine, and every guy and girl tonight is gonna think you look like a snack in that getup,” she smiles. Y/N rolls his eyes. “Like Ava Max says, ‘“I'm not a bite, I'm a five-course meal.’” Maggie scoffs. “You have got to stop listening to her music. She is so not.”

“Yes, she is.”

“Fine, whatever. I'm not letting go downstairs dressed as Pikachu, that practically screams “‘virgin.’” Y/N frowned. “But I am a virgin.”

“I know that, and you know that, but the people at this party don't need to know that. Okay?” Maggie says. “Besides, it's your chance to look sexy and show off your body.” Y/N shook his head, “I don't want to show off my body, I want to keep it hidden,” Y/N tells her.

Maggie sighs in defeat. “Just try it out and if you're uncomfortable later on, then you can change, alright?”

Y/N nods his head in agreement. “If anyone tries touching my chest I'm kicking their ass.”

“Deal.”

Macy, Mel, and Harry walk through the front door, as Y/N and Maggie come downstairs. “You guys,” she says with a grin. “I’m pretty sure Martha Stewart is a witch.” She twirls in her gown and smiles as they stare at her in shock. “Y/N what the hell are you wearing?” Mel asks, taking in her brother’s appearance. He blushes and before he can answer; Maggie interrupts him. “He’s a sexy fireman, who’s gonna get laid tonight.”

“That wasn’t the plan,” Y/N said.

“You invited Gavin behind my back,” Macy says, looking at both Y/N and Maggie. Y/N shook his head. “It was Mag’s idea.”

“What? I wanted to surprise you.”

“Do I look like someone who enjoys surprises?” Macy asks.

“Okay, I know. Boundaries. But hear me out,” Maggie starts. “I was thinking about this whole Harbinger thing and-“

“-No, you weren’t,” Mel says

“I so was.”

“And I thought to myself, "Maggie, why walk around campus handing out one cookie at a time when you could invite 200 people here and test them out all at once?" Maggie rants.

“So this has nothing to do with your sorority?” Mel asks her.

Maggie bites her lips, “Well, I mean, coincidentally, it might keep me from getting kicked out of Kappa, but that's just the icing.”

“The cake is totally for you guys. Because I so want to help save the world.”

“As much as I hate to say it, it's not a bad idea,” Y/N says. “We could rule out most of the Greek system in a matter of hours.”

“And I'm guessing your precious Elders haven't come up with anything better?” Mel asks Harry, a smug look on her face.

Harry looks at all four Charmed ones and sighs in defeat. “Very well…”

“Yes!”

“As long as we stay on task, and remain vigilant. There's no telling when the Harbinger might strike.”

The party is in full swing after just a few hours. People are dancing to the music, drinking skinny margaritas and eating the cookies Macy made. Y/N can feel both guys and girls looking at him as he walks by with a tray of cookies. He's really glad that he can levitate instead of reading minds like Maggie. At one point he sees Macy dressed like Judge Judy, a few minutes later, she's dressed like a Greek Goddess. Later on, the four witches find out the Harbinger is hunting virgins to strengthen its vessel. Y/N feels a bit nervous as he goes to get ingredients for a protection spell.

Y/N goes to the cabinet and uses a step stool to reach the ingredients. He searches for dried sage, which is a little high for him to reach. He tippy-toes, trying to reach the ingredient, but the stool tips over, and Y/N falls. He probably would have hit his head, but strong arms caught him. Y/N looks up to see a guy wearing sunglasses staring at him. “Woah, talk about falling for a guy,” Y/N chuckles nervously.

The guy chuckles too. “You okay there, Mr. Firefighter?” The guy takes off his sunglasses and Y/N recognizes him as the guy who helped him at the diner this morning. “Uh, thanks to you, again.”

“Right place, right time,” the guy smiles. Y/N blushes a bit. The guy is really handsome. “I'm Parker, by the way. Parker, Caine,” Parker says, holding out his hand for Y/N to shake. “Y/N Vera.” Parker grins. Y/N looks down at his boots, then back up. “I was just grabbing a drink. Can I pour you one?”

“I'm actually kind of busy with something right now. But catch you later, Officer?”

“Yes, sir,” Parker salutes. Y/N smiles before walking away.

Parker watches him leave, a smile on his face.

...

The protection spell doesn't work since the Harbinger is already inside the house. “What are we supposed to do?” Mel asks. “When you want to lure a shark, you don't use live bait,” Macy says. “You chum the water.” She takes a needle from hair. “Great. But where are we gonna get our hands on virgin blood?”

“Right here,” both Y/N and Macy say at the same time. They both prick their hands before smearing the blood on a nearby tree. “Y/N you're a virgin?” Mel asks. “Yeah, so?” Mel holds her hands up. “Nothing. I just thought that you and Chris had gone all the way before he cheated on you.” Y/N shook his head. “I told him that I wasn't ready yet, and I'm pretty sure that's why he cheated on me. Because I wouldn't put out.”

“I'm sorry, honey,” Mel says.

“It's alright, that's the past,” Y/N tells her. They lure the demon to a binding circle, and they discover that the vessel is Angela Wu. During the spell Maggie's powers act up. The demon turns to Y/N and Macy. “Y/N, Macy, run!” Harry says. Y/N and Macy take off into the forest as Angela chases after them. “Macy, hide. I'll distract her,” Y/N says. “What? Y/N she's too powerful. She'll kill you.”

“No, she won't,” Y/N says as Angela charges towards him, her pale white face glowing red. At the last second, Y/N levitates into the air and kicks her in the head. She stumbles back a bit but looks more angry than hurt. She charges again, but Macy telekinetically moves a tree branch to distract her. The two hide behind a tree as Angela comes around the other side, but Maggie hits her with a tree branch.

The demon quickly gets up to attack the three witches, but Mel utters a dangerous spell, “Solaris incantatio!” The spell works but knocks everyone off their feet and Y/N stops breathing. “Y/N!”

“Harry, please do something! He's not breathing!” Mel says. “Oh, God.”

“Y/N?” Maggie whispers, seeing her brother unconscious.

“Let's just hope it's shock,” Harry said, holding out his hand to heal Y/N.

“Please, this is not happening,” Mel begs.

“Y/N, come on,” Macy says.

Y/N wakes up gasping for air. He looks around wildly. “What happened?” he asks. “You almost died,” Harry says. “Yeah, well what else is new?” Y/N jokes.

“I am so, so sorry. Will you ever forgive me?” Mel asks.

“You did save mine and Macy's, life, so I think I'll let it slide,” Y/N grins as his sisters hug him.

Maggie, Y/N, and Macy did damage control since Maggie reversed her glamour spell. People were leaving the house, and Macy ran into Gavin, before kissing him. Y/N smiled happily. Maybe he should try that with Parker. He just needed to find him first. Good thing Y/N’s costume was store-bought, so he still had it on.

He saw Maggie talking to Lucy. Y/N rolled his eyes, she was so annoying. He caught the last bit of their conversation about Maggie becoming a Kappa. Both girls squealed and hugged each other. Y/N smiled. His sister had wanted this for so long, and now she had it. His smile widened even further as Parker walked towards them.

“Oh, Parker!” Lucy said, as he handed her a drink. “Baby. Uh, this is the girl I was telling you about.” She said, taking a sip of her drink. Y/N's smile faded as he realized what was happening. Parker wasn't single. He had a girlfriend.

“Parker, meet my favorite pledge, Maggie, and her baby brother, Y/N. Maggie, Y/N, meet my boyfriend, Parker.” Parker glanced guiltily at Y/N, who looked absolutely crestfallen. “Hey, Mags, I'm gonna go to bed, already,” he said, trying to keep his voice from cracking.

“Y/N are you alright?”

“I'm fine,” even though he wasn't. Y/N walked up the stairs and to his room with his head hanging low and his heart crushed. He cried a good five minutes before he heard a knock at his door. He tried to dry his eyes, as he answered the door. He expected Maggie to be at the door. She probably knew something was wrong with him and wanted to check on him, but it wasn't her. It was the last person Y/N expected. It was Parker.

Y/N immediately tried to close the door, but Parker stuck out his foot, blocking the door from closing. “Go away, Parker, I don't want to see you,” Y/N told him. “Y/N, please just let me explain,” Parker pleads.

“No! And I never wanna see you again!” Y/N tries again to close the door, but Parker is a lot stronger. Y/N sighs. “Parker, what do you want from me?” Y/N is so confused. Why was he being so insistent? “A chance to explain, please?” Parker says. “After that you can kick my ass out if you want.”

“You’ve got two minutes.” Y/N told him.

“Y/N I know we only just met, but I haven’t been able to get you out of my head,” Parker says. “There’s something about you that I can’t explain, but I like it.” That normally would've made Y/N blush, but he was too upset to feel embarrassed. “Is that before or after you realized you had a girlfriend?”

“I know it looks bad, but I mean it when I say that I like you. I’ve never felt like this about anyone before,” Parker said. “Is that what you tell all the suckers who fall for you?” Y/N asks him. “Is that what this is Parker? A stupid joke on a poor guy that you and Lucy can laugh at later after breaking his heart?” Y/N feels tears threatening to spill. It was stupid. They had only just met and Y/N feels like he’s liked Parker for a long time.

“No, Y/N, it’s not like that at all,” Parker protests. “What can I do to convince you my feelings for you are genuine?”

“I’m not sure there’s anything you can do, Parker,” Y/N says. “Maybe you should just-“

Y/N is cut off by soft lips being pressed against his own. At first, he’s too shocked to do anything, but let it happen, a few seconds later Parker pulls away. He looks at Y/N’s shocked face, a shy smile on his lips. “Did that convince you?” He asked. Y/N licks his lips, tasting Parker on them. Only later would Y/N realize that a demon’s kiss was addictive.

Against his better judgment; Y/N leans up to kiss Parker, and the taller boy leans down to meet his lips with his own. Parker cups Y/N’s face with one hand and snakes his other around Y/N’s waist. His bare chest touching Parker's clothed one. Y/N tugs on Parker's shirt, as the other boy parts his lips with his tongue and kisses him deeply. Y/N moans against his mouth as the two part away, slowly.

“What about Lucy?” Y/N says, a blush on his face, but his eyes are shining. “We're over,” Parker says. “I’ve found someone even more amazing.” Y/N smiles a bit, as they kiss once again. Looks like this Halloween party was a good thing after all.
