A trio of young scamps, they're royals and they have mischief planned. Well, one has mischief planned, and she's got two friends she can rope into it.

So, basically imagine if Leonhard, Mausinger, and Evan's mom were all friends as teenagers and they just got up to nonsense, all the time, mostly lead by Evan's mom. Leonhard always dragged Mausinger into it as well, and he was usually the brains of the group.

umm this was based on the nnk quarantine challenge but my monkey brain zoomed in on favorite boss and like...... i wanna draw mausinger!!! and he’s my favorite boss!! 

i love how different his fight is. i actually love how choreographed his moveset is. i love that he has bullet hell segment. and i love that instead of a huge arena you’re in a long narrow-ish space (for that bullet hell segment). i just like fighting him. i will intentionally let the rest of my party die so that its a one on one evan vs mausinger fight 

im even more upset that i cant access the dlc upon finding out that he has dlc boss fight where he’s more difficult and its on the free dlc!!! that i cant access bc of region locking!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghghghfh

I wanna do a Pokémon/NNK 2 Crossover but arrrghhhh can't decide on which Pokémon to turn every into ;-;

I mean, I'm set on Bracken being a Flareon, Evan being a Litleo and Tani being a Purrloin. I'm thinking I turn Batu into an Ursaring, Leander into a Prinplup and Roland into either Lycanroc or Absol. Honestly not sure on some of these.

But the image of Bracken, Zip and Trey being Flareon, Jolteon and Vaporeon is just aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

As I'm writing this, I'm thinking about a Nidoking Mausinger but he'd probably be a Raticate.

Also, Nerea as a Dragonite for fun? Or a Leander Dragonite to play with the dragon AU I'm working on? Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

Roland’s possible Soulmates

*A continuation of this post. Again, this refers primarily to a video that shows the first 18 minutes of the game and also to a more recent trailer that focus on Evan. If you don’t want any spoilers, I would suggest avoiding this post.*

Less than two weeks until the release of Ni No Kuni II: The Revenant Kingdom, and in my previous post, I brought up the idea of Roland being someone’s soulmate. (If you are confused about what a soul mate is in the NnK universe, please refer to the previous post) This post is going to discuss Roland’s possible soul mates, why it is and isn’t likely and what it would mean to the story.

Evan

From a certain perspective, this would make sense. For anyone who hasn’t played the first game, it is possible for someone to have a soulmate of a different age. I can imagine that this would lead to an idea of Evan and Roland being able to guess what the other is thinking and feeling and possibly leading to moments where the two work together in order to accomplish certain objectives. I can even possibly imagine a moment where one of them is incapacitated and the other most make a difficult choice in order to save them.

I honestly can’t think of many reasons why this couldn’t be the case; except that, to my own understanding, certain circumstances must be met in order for two soul mates to be desynchronized. Something must happen to one of the pair that warrants a reset, a new soul mate that can fulfill the role of the incapacitated one. There are no signs of that now, but anything is still possible.

Mausinger

This is another good possibility and it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. We don’t know much about Roland, but he knows that it is very possible for the Mice to hold grudges against the Cat King. Maybe this comes from Roland’s own position of leadership and his experience or maybe it is simple wisdom, either way, the two of them know the ins and outs of politics and it is also possible that Roland got his position by unsavory means. (Though I doubt it)

This is possible, but I doubt it is the case because it has been done before. We saw it in the first game and I hope that Level-5 is not a one trick pony with their villains.

King Leonard (aka: Evan’s Father and the former King)

This is actually my favorite theory and I think it has more likelihood than anyone expects. King Leonard was poisoned by the Mice, despite having been implied to have been a benevolent ruler to them; even going as far as to make Mausinger his chancellor and advisor. 

I say that is possible because of the combination of Roland’s role to Evan, his own position in his own world and one other thing that I won’t mention because it is a fair spoiler. (If someone messages me, I can tell them what I think) 

Roland obviously takes the role of mentor and primary protector to Evan and I hope to see a strong bond develop between them. The first game showed that some, not all soul mates will mirror their counterparts, your family member’s soulmates will be related to your own. If this carries over, then Roland may go as far as developing a fatherly relationship with Evan.

Roland is also stated to be in charge of running a country, though it is implied that it isn’t through royalty. Again, this refers to a bit information that I found by accident and will not mention in this post because it could be considered a spoiler that was not in any of the warnings at the top. If you really want to know, you can send me a message and I will share the information, it honestly isn’t all that big by itself but it could lead to other information. 

*Small note, I have seen the antagonist dressed in the snake armor. He could technically count as another contender as Roland’s soul mate, but as with Mausinger, it would essentially be the same pig in a different dress.*

i was thinking “i’m giving Leonhard a brother that isn’t Mausinger because that’s weird and i ship those two so i’m making an oc for this” (<- literally what i was thinking at night) he doesn’t really care for the throne as he is a personal guard or something, he’s just drawn in a i guess causal outfit

and then there’s the grandpappy, he was just the king and love his children :/

leonhard has a few more siblings i’ll be drawing soon and even leo’s mother

Mausinger: You know my plans, Roland. Tomorrow night… I’m going to kill you.

Roland: Right. That’s the part that really doesn’t work for me.

Don't feel bad about taking longer than expected lol - Mausinger alone has so many details. But they both came out looking great. :)

raising my hand waving it around PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT THE NNK REWRITE i love rewrites,,, i cant wait to read it one day,,

If i can only get the the first chapter done and unfortunately I might need some help on it 😭

William and Ferdinand are from different timelines, it's obvious with Ferdinand already but I went "William from the past and nobody knows it, yet"

William also pulled an Alicia at like 11

Ferdinand lost his memories of the future, he slowly regains some and this is perfect angst material>:3

Mausinger isn't evil and barely did any harm and wants what Evan wants, peace, also he's nervous as fuck

I put the Broadleaf arc and ding dong dell spy arc together because it just seems like it fits, Roland goes to ding dong dell while Evan and the other go to Broadleaf, William stays in Evermore to keep things in check and also make sure if Roland comes home

There's a arc I literally don't have anything yet but it revolves around Ferdinand (where the angst comes in)

These are more of me deciding which one I should go with

Roland fist fights a God so he can stay in Evan's realm or vanish for 2 years

^Doloran got worried as hell when Roland vanished and doesn't know where he's at (he's worried in both of the things above)^

Half of these kinnnda sound like headcannons alone but I'll admit I don't actually really have anything for anything else for the rewrite
