I'm not really too fond of the choir boys…And I believe the feeling is mutual. 

Jack’s quite frankly a stuck up prick who thinks so above everyone just because he hunts  and all the other choir boys follow him like a bunch of brainless sheeps,when half of them don’t even like him, everyone can tell. I bet he doesn’t even know how to tie his own shoes.

Roger and Maurice are also pricks, they keep bothering the littluns, and who’s the one who has to calm them down after? yes Me. At least Maurice says sorry after, which I guess is something…Roger on the other hand doesn’t care, he even throws rocks at littluns! Can you believe it! He is heartless and creepy. I tend to stay as far away from him as possible.

I haven’t interacted with Everette much but it pisses me off how I feel he is always looking at me as if judging what I do. If you don’t like my methods then come and do it yourself Buddy!

The guy with green eyes I guess is norman, there’s kids with green eyes in the choir but his are green green you know, there’s not much to say about him, I believe we haven’t interacted but his smugs smile makes me want to approach him even less, and i’m sorry to say it but he is not as cute as i’ve heard girls say he is, i don’t see the appeal sorry not sorry.

There’s also Michael, not to mistake Micheal, who doesn’t seem like a bad guy but he is not trustworthy if he goes around doing errands for Jack.

I guess not all of them are that bad. Nat is a lovely kid, he is so sweet and cheerful and has a huge imagination, a bit naive but he is still young so i can’t blame him,  real shame who he associates himself with.

And with Simon is complicated, we have barely spoken a word to one another but he always likes to sit down for a while and listen every time I tell a little tail to the littluns, he is a little peculiar but he is not a bad kid, and he always brings me fruit whenever i’m casted out. So I like him

Asa is also a peculiar case, I think he wants me around and seems he likes to chat but suddenly I says something he doesn’t like and he get’s all pissy and defensive, and even says some really nasty things that anger me, so I constantly feel like I have to be walking on my tippy toes which leads me to believe maybe he doesn’t like me as much as I thought. There's also the fact that he is part of the hunters ....Maybe he acts friendly with me because he just doesn’t want to be on bad terms since we both have to work together when a littluns get’s hurt. Despite that I think he is lots nicer than what he lets people see and he is also super smart, he knows lots of stuff.

Okay, its game night and tonight's game is monopoly. Can be Vasco/Machete only or you can also include modern versions of the fic characters, you choose

Who's winning? And more importantly, who's taking this way too seriously?

Vasco (horse and rider) has gotten bored and largely given up, he's messing with people's houses and hotels and stacking them on top of each other, fiddling with his phone and wandering into the kitchen to get a snack and stretch his legs every ten minutes or so.

Vittorio (thimble) is winning. He doesn't seem to follow a specific strategy but has played his cards well and luck evidently favors him. He owns the most properties and is the most financially stable player by far. He's been the quietest of the bunch all night and feels shyly pleased about being at the top, but gets very apologetic when someone lands on one of his high-rent locations and he has to take money from them.

Machete (howitzer) and Piero (tophat) are taking it way too seriously. Both have agreed that Vittorio may be invincible at this point, but they're on a head-to-head battle for the second place. Everyone else has expressed willingness to call it quits but they're way too competitive to give up until one has clearly and objectively beaten the other. Machete has fancier and more developed streets but he keeps ending up in jail more often than anyone else. Piero is the banker, owns three of the four railroads and is trying to get the last one from Machete.

Maurice (battleship) was the first to go bankrupt and has retired from the game, now he's mostly chilling with Vasco and giving moral support to Vittorio. He's getting sleepy and peckish and thinking of maybe getting late night takeout on his way home, but he doesn't quite have the heart to leave yet. At 11:56 he joins Vasco in the kitchen to make grilled cheese sandwiches that will surely give him heartburn next morning.

Alonso (racecar) was just a little too rude last time and he wasn't invited.

The ''thief'' is very likely refering to Maurice, in the live action the Beast treats him like a thief after Maurice stole a rose from the castle's garden. And before that he was chased and attacked by wolves in the snow!

The only disney moment in which a wolf raised an orphaned baby was in jungle book! Fun fact, the movie's name in brazil is labelled as ''Mogli o Menino Lobo'' meaning ''Mogli the Wolf Boy'' 🐺

Yup. Like he was just a teenager, he should be cut some slack, she was setting him up.

But it’s like

She was setting him up because she knew he had no love in his heart. Do you know how horrible a King with no love in his heart would be when the Prince grows up? Do you know how awful the “little poor provincial town” would have it in the shadow of a Prince who reaches adulthood with the kind of character and heart that shuts old women out in the cold? The Enchantress did. So she cursed him so that he’d develop into a kind, gentle, loving man. There’s a reason the curse lasted until his twenty-first birthday. That’s adulthood. He had till then to learn to love.

And you know what else?

Of course the castle and servants would be cursed too.

That’s the Beast’s first lesson: you’re being cursed because when you have no love for anything but yourself, it’s the people closest to you who suffer for it. His household is a living object lesson for him to be faced with, day after day, for ten years, about how the consequences of your actions affect more than just you—they affect the people who depend on you. Really important lesson for the King of a kingdom to learn.

And even if that weren’t enough, which it is, don’t come griping to me about the servants being cursed for something the Prince did. Riddle me this: why is the Prince answering the door? Why isn’t a footman doing that? Why isn’t Lumiere doing that?

Why is it they’re turned into furniture instead of little beasts? Why is the first scene they’re introduced in an old MAN begging for shelter from the bitter cold, and choosing to welcome him in despite “The Master?”

Why is their big number “Be Our GUEST?”

The answers to those questions aren’t given but it’s strongly implied that, instead of doing their jobs, and instead of standing up to their Master up to and including the incident with the Enchantress, they used to just stand to the side, making no sacrifices, taking no risks.

The theme of the movie is “true love is self-sacrifice.” Hospitality is one of the most self-sacrificial practices you can engage in. You’re literally making yourself vulnerable: you’re inviting someone into your home, you’re putting their comfort before your own, you’re giving them your hard-earned food and heat and drink and time, you’re allowing them to come into your sanctuary, your safe space, and judge it while you make them comfortable. Be Our Guest, indeed! Standing up to the Master, indeed! They’ve learned their lesson by the time Belle and her father are on the scene.

The thing is, we love to try and excuse away the responsibility of the main character because we love to try and excuse away our own character flaws. Blame it on trauma. That’s not the point. The point is, for the story to work, and for the fictional kingdom to have a happy ending with a Prince who’s like that, the Beast has to grow out of his character flaws. He has a problem, and it needs solving—how he got the problem is irrelevant.

And there’s just so little chance that a Prince, who has everything in life that he could ever want and is dependent on nobody, for anything, would ever feel the need for love. Or worse, he’d never feel the need to correct himself, or change, or grow in any way. He needed to have some discipline—some MAJOR discipline, some KINGDOM-SAVING discipline—in order to even be the kind of guy that could notice a peasant girl’s self-sacrificial loving nature, much less value her and fall in love with her.

Thank goodness for the Enchantress and the Curse. Or else this fairy tale could’ve turned into the French Revolution.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MAURICE actually the book and movie were my final trans boy awakening (instead of just masc aligned) bc it's a very personal portrait of this type of masculinity doesn't quite reach the wildean flamboyance but still has the sensitivity of Greek art— Clive was so real for the scene in the boat, even if I don't like Clive all that much, he was kinda a coward at the end, but I understand his longing for that platonic relationship of aesthetic and intellectual attraction, I think I headcanon asexual Clive. But Maurice actually has sexual needs and wants to fulfill them, so Alec was perfect for him bc he's a bit more straightforward than him. Also, I don't think Maurice appreciated completely all of Clive's intellectualism, he's just a man of action that loves men, Clive loved the ideal of Greek Queer Love, so being with Alec allows him to be more genuine with himself, be less pretentious. Clive loved a life of luxury, but for Maurice his status was a prison, Alec helped him escape of that empty mask.

Queen, I love A Night at the Opera, it's hard to choose one favorite song but I really like Seaside Rendezvous, Killer Queen and It's a Hard Life. But my wrapped said n1 Under Pressure bc of every time I listen to Bowie PLUS every time I listen to Queen.

Haven't posted in a while, I've been working on a few bigger blocks and this is one of them: an A4-size symmetrical evening primrose (oenothera biennis) design, printed in dark green. I reread Maurice for the dozenth time in a moment of weakness and the floral symbolism got to me. Darkness in Maurice signifies nature, truth, growth, and understanding; the repeated reference to this night-blooming flower is exemplary of that theme. (Don't get me started!)

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them? probably maria from west side story. maria is belle’s mother’s name and i think that song perfectly captures maurice’s feelings after he first learned her name 🥹

What's something you have in common with this character? i think we’re both pretty lowkey, simple people. content maybe? don’t need much to be happy. and both of us tend to live more on the safe side of things. i certainly don’t have any traumas in my past the way maurice does, but i’m pretty cautious by nature, always have been.

23. Favorite picture of this character? aahh this is actually one of my favorite shots of the entire movie!!!!!!!!!!!

i just think it’s so pretty. the lighting, the snow in his hair, the frost on the rose & leaves. ahh!!! i’ve always been in love with this shot, since the first time i saw it in the theater🤧
