Meet Theo! ❤️

I just got him over the weekend. He's 8 weeks. I got him from JD and Keevah's breeder. Someone abandoned his pregnant mom on her farm so his father is unknown but his mom looks like a Staffie mix, maybe with a Lab.

Now, I don't know for sure, but since having him and taking in his personality so far as well as how he looks, I'm guessing he's something like a Bullmastiff/Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix. I did speculate Black Mouth Cur for a small while but I don't think so anymore and Boxer has been a guess since I first saw him after he was born. He came from the south, so, he could honestly be mixed with just about anything. I might end up doing a DNA test in the future ☺️

Xen is confident he is the best at his job, there's nothing you can say to convince him otherwise. Probably a theater queer in another life. Binx acts like he hates the theatrics but really he loves his big goofy boy so very much.

(note: Xen is very cute and is such a good boy but please know that while any breed can be a service dog, unconventional breeds like Xen are much more difficult to raise and manage for your typical handler. Please do your research and keep need before breed in mind when choosing your next companion. They are a possible 10-20 yr commitment.)

This is my dumb dumb. He was 150lb last time I weighed him and is always *extremely* excited to see young kids. The family I adopted him from as an older puppy had a 5 year old son he played with a lot, so he gets super playful and affectionate around anyone near that age. But he's 3x the size he was then and kids get knocked down easily and then are scared of dogs. Unless the kid has been around and done well with a 50lb+ excitable dog I try to limit their playful interactions and even then I'm watching like a hawk. He sits quietly for pets from other kids but he stays in a heel position the whole time.

I recently started working in a daycare with kids 3-6 years old. As soon as I get home I have to change my clothes because his nose is glued to my pants while he looks at me with sad betrayal in his big brown eyes.

my auntie is once again coming around to complain her dog is too much and she needs to rehome him, he's now escalated to attacking people/animals, going through fences, doesn't listen, too big etc. and it's just. lol. not this time, satan! it's not my problem :)

RIGHT?! It is such an achievable dream!

I try to make do with "one dog, two dog, brown dog, blue dog" but it's just not the same...

(I have got to take more group shots; I can find lots of photos of any given two of them, but very few of all three monsters in the house. Clearly a job for the future now that it's warm out... anyway, I am currently finding the ones I have hilarious. )
