Ronald Gene Simmons' Christmas Murders

Ronald Gene Simmons Sr. was born on July 15, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. In 1957, Simmons dropped out of school and joined the U.S. Navy, stationed in Washington where he met his wife, Bersabe Rebecca "Becky" Ulibarri, on July 9, 1960.

Between this time and 1978, the couple had 7 children together. Simmons left the Navy in 1963, and by 1965 had joined the U.S. Air Force. Simmons won many awards during his military career.

On April 3, 1981, Simmons was investigated for allegedly having a child with his 17-year-old daughter, Sheila, because he was sexually abusing her. Simmons did not want to be arrested so fled to Arkansas with his family later that year from New Mexico.

The family had a 13 acre piece of land that they would call, "Mockingbird Hill." The home did not have a telephone or indoor plumbing, and had a private fence built around it. Because of no plumbing, Simmons got his family to dig 3 cesspits, which he would later dispose bodies into.

Simmons worked a lot of random jobs during this time, and even quit a position at Woodline Motor Freight after he had multiple reports of sexual advances he was committing.

By the time the killings happened, two of Simmons older children had already moved out, including Sheila, and had families of their own.

Before Christmas 1987, Simmons decided to kill his entire family. On December 22, Simmons killed his wife Rebecca and oldest son Gene, by bludgeoning them with a crowbar and shooting them. He then strangled his 3-year-old granddaughter, Barbara.

Simmons dumped the bodies into one of the cesspits and waited for his other children to return home from school. When the children arrived home, Simmons told them he had presents for them but wanted to give them one at a time. He killed 17-year-old Loretta by strangling her and held her under the water in a rain barrel. His other children, Eddy, Marianne, and Becky were then killed the same way, all of their bodies going into the cesspit.

On December 26, 1987, Simmons two older children arrived home as he had invited them over for the holidays. Simmons then killed his son Billy and his wife, Renata, by shooting them. He then strangled and drowned their 20-month-old son, Trae. Simmons then shot his daughter Sheila, and her husband, Dennis McNulty.

Simmons then strangled his child by Sheila, 7-year-old Sylvia Gail, and then his 21-month-old grandson Michael.

He laid their bodies in neat rows in the lounge, with all of them covered by coats except for Sheila's, who had been covered with their best tablecloth. Trae and Michael's bodies were wrapped in plastic and put in abandoned cars at the end of the lane.

Simmons then drove to a Sears store where he picked up Christmas gifts he had ordered for his family. He went out for a drink at the local bar that night, before returning home to watch tv and drink beer.

On the morning of December 28, 1987, Simmons drove to Walmart where he purchased another firearm. His first target was the law firm where he had previously met a secretary named Kathy Cribbins Kendrick.

Simmons had been infatuated with her but she had rejected him. He walked into the office and shot her. He then went to an oil company office, intending to shoot the owner, Russell "Rusty" Taylor. Russell had also owned the Mini Mart where Simmons resigned. He shot and wounded Taylor, and killed another man, James David Chaffin, who was a total stranger to Simmons. Another employee was also shot at but the bullet missed.

Simmons drove to the Mini Mart where he shot wounded two other people. His final target was his former supervisor, which he shot twice wounding her. He then ordered one of the employees to call the police.

When police arrived, Simmons handed over his gun and surrendered without resistance. Simmons killed two people and injured four others during his rampage.

Simmons underwent psychiatric evaluation where he was found fit to stand trial. He was found guilty on May 12, 1988, for the murders of Kendrick and Chaffin. He was then on trial for the murders of his 14 family members and found guilty on February 10, 1989. He was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

As a potential motive, a family friend claimed that Simmon's wife, Rebecca, had been saving up money to divorce Simmons when the killings happened. During the trial, Simmons actually had to be removed at one point for punching the prosecutor, John Bynum, and trying to get a deputy's handgun, after Bynum introduced a letter between Simmons and Sheila.

The letter stated that Simmons was expressing anger that Sheila told people he was the father of her child, and he would see her in Hell. Simmons refused to appeal his death sentence.

Simmons life was constantly threatened in prison, and he had to be removed from other prisoners. This was due to him refusing to appeal his death sentence -- the others believed he was damaging their own chances of beating their sentences.

On June 25, 1990, Simmons died from lethal injection. None of his surviving relatives would claim the body, and he was buried in a potter's field in Lincoln County, Arkansas.

I don't know how to express the fact I am gleefully kicking my legs waiting for Wicked (2024) because it's going to be terrible. The cinematography, hideous. The colour grading, a nightmare. The single leaked song, I do not know how a professional singer can have vocals that shot but I know for certain the director fucked her over. Doubling the length? Insane. Grandes performance? A wink at camp she could never achieve. Sending children to porn sites from the merch? One of the funniest blunders I've ever seen (i doubt it will actually affect any kids because they arent gonna type out a url but its still hilarious). The fan made poster debacle? Probably the result of Erivo being subjected to a LOT of racism so I understand the emotion reaction but also isn't gonna a help.

My funniest timeline is it's critically panned and bombs and they cancel the sequel and also.the one i think we might be on, even if sad for the production staff who are actually competent. Like the marketing has been massive and that might off set it but it's also been a complete shit show soooooo

now, gojo had friends he's even close to his students but the difference here is only geto UNDERSTOOD gojo completely (this is what he continues to say as well) and by the way none of the sorcerers he was close to ever really hated him, it was an annoyance towards his silliness and childish behaviour that's all. they tolerated it because they respected him. i would like you to give me an example of him "not respecting people's boundaries". when we talk about gojo satoru being lonely we mean the loneliness that comes with being the strongest and a genius, when you have no one else to accompany you in missions and battles because they'll only get in your way, when you don't even need care (healing by rct) from anyone else because you can do it yourself, when you're overworked to the bone because again it's easier for gojo satoru to handle it, when you are the only one left behind with hope for future generation and are trying to save your students while also handling the nasty higher ups, when the person who taught you about morals is also the one who ends up breaking them, when you've seen so many of your peers die and you couldn't do anything about it inspite of being a born genius. i don't know what you're getting at but the gojo satoru you're talking about doesn't exist in manga, maybe reread it again and you'll probably understand it better.

These are my opinions! If you don’t agree, then add your own headcanons! The idea is taken from the mind of @masscared-star and their thoughts on feline Larissa Weems.

Kitty Cat Larissa Weems is a white Turkish Angora feline. One of the fluffy ones with the thicker neck fur and ear tufts. Her tail widens toward the end and is very soft of course. Every part of her is soft.

Her teeth are very sharp. They’re still in human alignment, but the incisors and canines are obviously more cat-like. The premolars and molars, toward the back of her jaw, have more sharp edges. So she doesn’t hurt herself, her tongue rests in her mouth differently and has a very weird texture. It’s in between human, soft, and the feline, rougher and tougher.

Her pupils CAN turn into slits. Her ears CAN twitch and swivel and flatten. Her tail CAN swish swish swish. She also has a habit of stalking without realizing - walking with swinging hips and one foot in front of the other like that of a model.

She has PERFECT balance. Despite her height and stature, she will not fall. And if she does, she shall be graceful about it.

Heightened senses of course. She has an excellent sense of smell. Her eyes, however, function like a human’s. She can see all colors and has an innate sense of where things are so there’s no ‘bumping into things’ unless she’s somehow dizzy. BUT she CAN see in the dark. Built-in night vision. No hiding from her at night.

Ear scritches. Yes, ma’am. Scratch her behind the ears, be careful of her hair, and she will push into your hand without even thinking. It’s very comforting for her and sends lovely little shivers down her spine. Same with the base of her tail. She won’t respond in the same… interesting manner as a cat’s, but she will let her tail curl around your wrist or your waist. She has a lot of control over it.

PURRING. PURRRRINGGG SOMETHING IS PURRINNNGGG AND IT’S LARISSA WEEMS LMAO. She will purr whenever she is content. Head on your lap while reading. Eating a lovely little meal with you in deep candlelight. She keeps it low and soft when she’s in public, happy and proud of her staff and students, but otherwise lets herself purr as loudly as she wants when with you. - Larissa also has the ability to let out little ‘mrrow!’ chirping kitty sounds when she’s excited. If you show up with lunch for her one day and she’s not expecting you, she’ll perk up and the sound will leave her chest without any restraint. She will be embarrassed about it. You will laugh and she will be embarrassed and then when you give her a little kiss, she will purposefully nick your lip and you will go ow!! and she will go 'Gotcha.'

Showering…. hissss….. She loves showers so much, she does, because they are warm and she likes warmth, but they are also annoying. The pitter patter on her ears can irritate her, so she indulges in baths more. It gives her control over the touches on her ears and she actually enjoys grooming the parts of her that are feline. Although, if you headcanon that she has a proper cat form, she will not like water as much.

Her nails are sharp. She can’t help it. They’re painted red, yes, and they can be sheathed and unsheathed (like Enid’s, yes), but she tries to be gentle with them. When she’s angry or frightened, they shoot out - so just be careful.

Her precious soft ears are pierced, near the base by her head on the outsides, but those areas are sensitive. Not sensitive like ooooo but sensitive like ow please don’t squeeze there. She mainly wears pearls in those spots, because she likes the sparkle, but little golden hoops make the occasional appearance as well. - She does not like bows or things being placed around her ears though. Chances are she will not like extra accessories there. And she DOES NOT APPRECIATE YOU TRYING TO TURN THEM INSIDE OUT BECAUSE IT LOOKS FUNNY. You did it once and you have the nicks on your hands to show it. Worth the laugh though.

She hisses beneath her breath when irritated. A popping sort of hiss that rumbles from her throat and is often heard in the quiet of her office.

She’s quick. Crazy quick. It seems impossible but it isn’t.

LOUNGING. BASKING IN THE SUN. LOUNGING AND BASKING. MMMM SUNLIGHT. She will lay across her chaise and she will soak in the rays through the windows and she will turn around in her desk chair and just sit there until she nearly falls asleep. No, it’s not very productive, but if she doesn’t get her daily sunlight, she will be a little bit down. If you find her taking a midday rest on the weekend, full body facing the sun that filters through onto the bed, no you don’t. Don’t disturb her. Leave her be, purring away happily.
