For Christmas, Fancy got double cuddles on the puzzle table, running her paws through the pieces, rolling around, and getting held and petted for as long as she wanted. We dropped puzzle pieces on her as she made mashy paws in the air. She was so happy she was humming while she purred.

A very MASHy christmas

It was Hawkeyes fourth Christmas in this three year war, and he still hadnt gotten used to the cold. Luckily there wasnt much wind today so he only had to worry about the snow, and having grown up in Maine, that was perfectly fine with him.

Hawkeye walks down the camp, making tracks as he continues to walk the same path over and over. He could always just go inside where its warm, but somthing made him feel the need to be outside, to be moving. He felt like he might burst if he didn't keep moving.

As the man is lost in thought, he bumps into...nothing. He rubs his forehead and stares at the air infront of him. He reaches out to touch it- nothing there. Hawkeye looks around in confusion, before spotting a patch of snow melting. He walks up to it, crouches down and touches it. He yanks his hand back and hisses- its boiling. Now he's a bit more than just confused.

He remembers the words from an old friend- "Reality is up for grabs" - and frowns at the memory. Before he can linger on the thought for too long, he hears a thud behind him. He quickly stands up and whips around to see a stranger on the ground, looking like they've fallen off of somthing, despite there being nothing near by to fall from.

Hawkeye approaches, and offers a hand. "You alright?"

the three musketeers of yule

These are the desserts I made for the christmas catering on wednesday: pistachio and fine flavour cocoa butter crumble, milkbar's lemon curd with fresh butter, fresh whipped cream infused with fresh organic lavender and amazonian vanilla. Edible dry flowers.

When I say fresh I mean I get my butter and cream from a local regenerative farm. The products only last like 4 days but they're. So Good.... I buy most of my stuff from local/organic business and dude we're so fucking rich in amazing products. I used a variety of lemon/tangerine for the lemon curd... Using ingredients that were harvested or created by local mashis is so precious to me. Grating lemon zest from that lemon tangerine inevitably brings your mind to the present. For me it made me feel an immense gratitude for all nature gives us and for my colleagues who work the land and spend time in their kitchens coming up with creations from that abundance that are a gift to us all. “i’ll feel lazy though!” you complained, “we should do something. ooh! let’s bake!”

“bake?”

“yes! oh my god, we can make my christmas gingerbread!” you exclaimed, jumping up from the sofa and grabbing your boyfriend’s arm on the way, “come on! it’ll be fun!”

“i can’t bake,” mashiho laughed sheepishly.

“it’s fine! you can be my sou-chef!” you laughed, “come on! mashi, please?”

you gave him your best puppy dog eyes, mashiho just groaning.

“we get to eat them afterwards?” you tried.

mashiho laughed, standing up and wrapping his arms around you, the two of you stumbling to the kitchen.

“honestly though, if you through flour at me, i’m leaving,” mashiho said.

you rolled your eyes, “fine, fine. what about egg?”

mashiho sighed, beginning to leave the room, “i’m gone. nope.”

“mashi!”

Assassins Creed Valhalla, is there such a thing as a game being too long?

First and foremost, welcome to my blog. I am happy to have you hear for this first review, and I cannot wait to connect with you and have your input!

Now, onto the review.

Assassins Creed... Like it, hate it, or fall somewhere in between?

For me, I have constantly fallen on the side of LOVE IT. Legitimately, I believe Assassins Creed 2, 3, Unity and Syndicate are amazing games. I love the more traditional Assassins Creed Games more than the most recent three. However, I still did enjoy Origins and Odyssey.

I say all this because I am just not on board with Valhalla.

Valhalla was a game I was fairly hyped about. I wanted to purchase it with my PS5 purchase but I ended up not doing it at the time, and instead got the game as a Christmas present.

I was so excited to finally get to dive in. Seeing things like the town/outpost and being able to build it up, and some of the viking settings just looked so cool.

However, almost immediately there was this weight hanging over me. I had heard a lot about the length of this game. And let me tell you, the length is absurd. Now don't get me wrong, I am all for extra content, and making sure you get your moneys worth. However, there comes a time in some games, when it just feels like you are doing the same task repeatedly for no reason.

Valhalla, unfortunately, comes off this way. While there are the odd good story beats from time to time, and the characters can be somewhat interesting (Randvi is a favorite of mine) there are far too many moments when it feels like they ran out of ideas, and they just stuck filler content in the game so that they could boast a larger hour count.

(On a side note HLTB (How Long to Beat) clocks in the average play through of this game at 54 hours for only the main story, with a whopping 130 hours if you want to complete everything)

This game just really lost me about 30 hours in. I began to lose interest in the story, and I began to find myself not connecting with Eivor anymore. I felt like Eivor was just a bystander in this story. And maybe that was the point, maybe Ubisoft wanted to make the story not about you and just have you kind of be there. But it just felt boring and not interesting. I felt like conflict with Dag in particular was really out of nowhere. I understand it carries a story point a bit later that will have consequences but it just was not even remotely believable.

And that takes me to the majority of this game. While I love the Assassins Creed games as a whole, I felt like there was little to no Assassin left in this game. Origins and Odyssey definitely didn't have much either, but for some reason (the setting possibly as I am a huge fan of Greek mythology, and Egyptian settings) I just found this one to be even more lacking.

One thing that I will say, is that I had just beaten Ghost of Tsushima which was a perfect game (review to follow soon) and I felt like that game had stealth that more matched the original Assassins Creed games while also having an amazingly tactile and fun combat system.

Overall, my feelings on the game are as follows:

Graphics: 5 out of 5

The game looks gorgeous there is no doubt. With amazingly detailed figures and landscapes

Story: 2 out of 5

While I have experienced worse stories, this one just doesn't have any depth or heart to it

Combat: 3 out of 5

This is for sure, not the worst combat of all time, but it feels fairly button mashy without much depth

Replay-ability: 0 out of 5

I can't see how anyone would have the time to replay this game, but also, the game is just so bland as a whole that it feels pointless to even restart it once you finish it.

Overall Score: 10 out of 20

This game is not the worst game of all time, but that is about all it has going for it (outside of amazing graphics)

It Christmas time, or break and it a very merry occasion.

Well almost Merry, with Ricky parents expensice divorce. Comes with some consequences.

The issue...well both his parents refuse to get him a baker brand skateboard. No big deal he can get one with his own money right. Unfortunately that skateboard comes out to hundred dollars not including shipping and wheels.

That comes out to a total of 115.90$

What a boy to do? Except maybe take a job Ashlyn recommenced and got him. He can be an elf, and wear a ridiculous costume, work the whole holiday season, and get a cool 120$ bucks.

Hey it pays to be santas helper.

Except one little helper isn’t very helpful and Ricky wished he had researched, which family owned the Castletown Mall. Because now for the whole holiday season he stuck working with EJ Caswell. Man that skateboard better be worth it.
