could this be a glimmer of hope for captain america (or other OG 6 members) making an appearance in secret wars??

Chasing you

Summary: You’ve been on the run from Carol after sending a drunk voicemail. A month later, Carol has found you and doesn’t plan to let you go.

A/N: Came out of a writing hiatus cause I love this woman. There’s not enough carol x reader fics on this app and she gives me the warm fuzzies. Comments and reshares are appreciated :)

Warnings: Pretty PG-13, playful teasing, fluff, some tears, few misspellings, mentions some characters from The Marvels

Three things were painfully obvious as you woke up. This wasn’t your bed. These weren’t your clothes. The “Space Girls Do It Better” sleeveless crop top didn’t belong to you. 

Oh, and there was a fluffy, orange flerken licking its genitals ontop of your chest. A pretty deep cleaning by the looks of it.

“Um.” your voice croaked, the result of a long nap. “Mr. Flerken sir, I’m going to move you and place you on the floor-” Three tentacles shoot out from the confines of its mouth, wraps around a nearby metal dresser, and swallow it whole.

An audible nervous gulp can be heard from your throat. “New plan. Leave when it pleases you.” 

Armed with the killer fluffball, you creep along the cramped halls of the spaceship and take in the colorful murals that are painted inconsistently through the halls. One reads vaguely familiar, “New Jersey.” 

What’s a New Jersey?

In the back of your mind you have a nagging suspicion of the identity of the owner of the ship. But if you were right, then that would be a bigger problem than someone undressing you while you were unconscious. 

You enter the main pilot room as a childlike scream jars both you and the flerken. 

Kamala Khan’s wide eyed, all teeth smile shines from across the room. “OMG you’re awake!”

“God, no.” you groan. You plead to the heavens that this is all just a stress conjured dream even as the teenager morphs a hard light disk to propel her forward to tackle you into a warm hug. “Kamala, please tell me you're the owner of this ship and you’ve gotten your spaceship driver’s license early?

Her lips curve. “Sure.”

A relieved sigh depletes from your body.

“Sure, I missed you. But this is Carol’s ship. After you left she’s been tracking you for the past few weeks. We got an alert that you were involved in a bar brawl on the planet Aladna yesterday. When she found you, you were already beaten unconscious and bleeding from the attack. Carol scooped you up and took care of your injuries in the med bay.” Her signature dopey smile returns. “She nearly blasted the whole bar apart when she found you. It was epic.” she sighs with a faraway look.

Her smile wouldn’t be so bright if she knew you had no interest in being on the same planet yet alone on a small ship with her honored captain. Your frantic eyes start to scan every nook and cranny of the room. As if Carol would materialize from the launch keys at any moment. You drag Kamala to the control panel and start to hit buttons at random. “No, none of this is epic. Kamala, afraid we need to cut this reunion short. Drop me off at the nearest planet or station. Shoot, give me a space jumpsuit and I’ll simply float outside in outerspace. But I Can Not. Be. Here.” 

Kamala gives a sly look at how you’re acting. “Carol said you’d try to jump ship once you woke up.” she smiles as she pets the flerken still in your arms. “Something about you being embarrassed over something moronic.” 

And there it was. Until now there was a slim grasp of hope that Carol hadn’t known what you did but this just confirmed not only did she know but she wasn’t going to let it go. Goody. No way would you tell the whole story of how you’d gone out drinking with some Skrull girls because Carol was driving you crazy in her freaking halter tops. Then you found out she was married to a prince! Sure, it was only a political marriage but still the revelation made you want to punch something or someone. So drunk out of your mind, you left the most pathetic voicemail of all time sounding like a teenager with a crush. Talking about how she attracts you more than the rules of gravity. What was that! The voicemail ended with your declaration to take the prince of Aladna in a fight if that’s what it took to get her attention.

In your defense, she does like to fight. So you did punch someone…or several someones at the bar.

“It’s nothing.” you blink away the memory. “Carol didn’t have any right to kidnap me off the planet”

“Aren’t you a little old to be “kidnaped?” the dreaded voice calls out from behind you both.

You whip your head around, guilt written all over your face even as your jaw slackens at the hottest, yet fatigued, space hero in the galaxy. 

But at the moment Captain Marvel just looked like Carol. A half smile gracing her lips even as she leans against the entrance. Bare arms out, another damn crop top that barely covers her belly button, and an empty space of tantalizing skin at her stomach before the top half of her supersuit hangs limp at her hips. 

It was giving off duty lesbian about to repair an engine and it was making you absolutely feral. 

Which is why you held the flerken outstretched in her direction.

“Not another step, Danvers.” you warn. “This flerkin here has taken a liking to me and isn’t afraid to defend me.”

Carol tilts her head and her full teasing smile tasks force, causing a full quiver in your heart.

Taking slow, meticulous steps toward you, not caring about the fur-covered danger dangling from your hands. “You’ve taken a liking to my pet, sweetheart?” 

A spurtle of incoherent nonsense leaves your mouth. “It found me when I woke up. I even named him Ginger.”

“Real creative.” her deadpan sarcasm does not go unnoticed. “Put Goose down before he decides to eat you.” You get ready to fight the command but ‘Goose’ does a loud meow and you decide that’s him agreeing with his apparent owner. 

Her eyes flicker to the noisy teenager next to you. “Kamala, go find another wall to destroy.”

“Aye aye, captain.” You make a desperate attempt to grab Kamala but the small betrayer just mouths “You’re in trouble.” before prancing away. 

With Kamela’s exit the room is too quiet and the once spacious room feels tiny and empty, leaving only the bruising reminder of why you’ve avoided Carol for weeks. Sure, your friend can fly, shoot rays of energy from her fist, and literally crush you with her bare hands but none of that ever scared you. It wasn’t your physical body you were afraid she would break, but the fragile, sensitive heart you always protected. But then there was Carol with her small, gentle smile and her laughing eyes and a warm presence that made you want to be soft instead of sharp with pointy edges.

Under Carol’s gaze you were a giant raw wound that was left open and too exposed. You just knew Carol could see it. 

Which is why getting off this ship was imperative. With a new, hardened resolve you turn around and commerce pressing every button in sight.

“You trying to order a pizza? Because there’s an easier way than having us crash into the nearest asteroid.”  The pull of her voice is so strong after weeks of zero contact but you ignore it nonetheless. Not that it deters Carol. “But maybe your bad driving is a result of getting your ass whooped down on Aladna.”

She’s baiting you. Do not give in.

“I mean the fact that you got your butt handed to you by a group of people who normally only fight in song has to make you mad, right?” The silence in response finally gets to her as she stomps up to the dashboard controls and undos every button you’ve pushed in concession. Each time she reaches for a button near yours, fingers a centimeter from touching, you yank away and take a step away. She grunts in return and counters with another step closer. 

Her next jap finally hits her mark with stinging precision. “Maybe next time you should ask the Prince for backup.”

A response fires out your mouth even as you slam your hand against a particular shiny button. “I had it handled, okay? That pretty boy prince might’ve impressed you somehow but his presence in a fight is as needed as yours is to me right now.” The lie turned your stomach and made you feel like Goose’s shit. “You had no right and no reason to take me off that damn planet because I had it covered. Just drop me off at the nearest planet.”

Carol could smell the lie a mile away. The words bounced off her chest. If anything she was trying to hide her arrogant grin at successfully getting your undivided attention, knowing it would make you more pissed. Which was always an adorable sight.

When her sources flagged a sighting of you on Aladna she’d left the spaceship at supersonic speed to reach you after hunting your trail down for the past month. 

At first, friendship was all she needed. But time spent together on various missions gave her deeper understanding on how darn sweet you were despite scratching at anyone who tried to get close. 

But once she clicked play on that cute, yet slightly violent, voicemail any vague restraints of being only friends were dashed. Now here you were, her prickly kitten, and she wasn’t going to be deterred by any of your rounded jabs. 

Now here you stood. Causing internal issues to her ship's mainframe. Slight bruises marring your delicate skin. All reminders that you’d rather be dropped in outer space than occupy the same room with her. Well tough luck. Patience was never her strongsuit. 

A blur out of the corner of your eye was the only warning before the sudden warm body surrounded you from behind. Two unyielding hands grasped yours in an attempt to halt any further error messages from appearing on the dashboard. “Are you not satisfied with my ship, sweetheart? Because you’re awfully determined to break it.” In another determined step she removes any space separating you two until her front is flushed against your back. Tense doesn’t begin to describe how rigid your body gets as you realize, to your detriment, she’s forgone a bra. Even the tiniest move from her causes her soft, malleable breast to move against your back. Your knees buckle even as you silently curse Carol for completely smashing the boundaries of your personal bubble. 

Warm fingers grasp each of your hands and her thumbs caress circles on each hand that shoots straight to your flamed core. A whisper of her lips speaks into your ear, tingling all the way into your spine. “Six. There’s six bruises across your delicate body from that stupid fight. But you didn’t need me, huh?”

The touch and slight reprimand in her voice makes your body shiver. “T-that’s not what I meant.”

“Oh?” You peek behind to see her face as her fingers gently travel down your arm. Brows furrowed with an intense glare as she inspects your minor injuries in detail. “But that’s what you said, no?” 

In an effort to clutch the last remaining shreds of your pride you squint up at her but end up lowering your glare. “Even if you helped me, that didn’t give you the right to take me off the planet.” you murmur. “And who changed my clothes!” 

The gentle hand remains on your arm but the dark look is dashed away, replaced with a serene smile. “Obviously that was me. Like I would allow anyone else to get a peek at what’s mine.” she snorts. As if the idea was simply absurd. 

All fight leaves your body at the new startling news that Carol, your Carol, just called you hers PLUS  she’s seen you naked? 

You gear up to start a rant but two arms twirl you around and hefts you up. Your legs and arms cling to her even as you yell at her to set you down.

Bullheaded Carol ignores you and instead leisurely walks to her pilot seat. As if this was just a normal Tuesday. When she plops in the driver seat, she settles your weight to straddle her hips. Immediately, you try to scramble away but she wraps her arms around you in a metal vise. That damn innocent smile returns. “The chast act ends now. Because I was prepared to let you go but then you left me this.” It’s like a slow motion car accident as she pulls her cell from her pocket and the dreadful voicemail is played at full volume. 

Renewed vigor allows you to break out of her arms but you're too slow as one hand holds you in place on her lap. Making you listen to your drunk declaration of love.

The tears come as you're forced to helplessly listen, already anticipating the mockery that was soon to come, except Carol didn’t laugh. Instead, you felt soft, slow kisses press against your wet check, trailing your tears.

Carol nuzzling your neck is the only thing stopping your crying as you realize she wasn’t laughing. Her tired smile and fatigued smile returns. “You're so dramatic, kitten. Don’t ask me what “right” I have to kidnap you and bring you on our ship after you left a message like this for me. 

Sensing you were no longer a flight risk, her hard grip releases your wrists. Instead, she traces your face, rubbing away your tear trails. “For now on, you're coming back and helping our missions, warming my bed, and if you start anymore bar fights you better finish them or have your girlfriend there to finish the job for you.”

For the first time in a month, a genuine smile graces your face. Brave enough to fully settle your weight on Carol’s lap, you grasp the nap of her neck to angle her lips for a kiss. When your lips finally connect a deep, dragged out moan leaves Carol’s mouth. Her hands slide up your thighs and squeeze your ass. “Don't run away again.” she warns.

“Aye aye Captain.”

The way I ran through this IF isn't normal. It's wonderful!! Omg and I love the ROs Jacob and six are especially so adorable. I literally have a save slot just dedicated to Ari. And I did not expect liana to be such a goddamn menace and a flirt. She's so fun tho.

I fucking loved this so much. I cannot believe it sat in my to read list for so long. I Binged it!

In between breaks, when I needed a min at work from progress reports and even when I couldn't sleep. I've just Been reading it since yesterday and I can already not wait for the next update.

The angst, the pain, the betrayal but ultimately the hope. Omg my heart just cannot.

Omg hiiiiiii! Yes, I will be more than happy to write out a reading list for you! I'll do my best to compile every notable moment or issue where they get a lot of focus, unfortunately there are large gaps in things so there's a really big tone disparity between some of these issues just because of the time that's passed between them, so I'll try to give vague synopsis' when necessary about what's been going on since their last notable interactions.

Avengers V1 #151-#153, Avengers Annual #8 is Simon's resurrection after his death in his debut appearance, and is the foundation for their relationship.

Avengers V1 #160 is just generally a really important Simon issue, and there's only really one or two moments with Hank it, but I think it provides important context to why Simon is the way he is, and how much Hank learns about Simon so early on in their relationship. Hank makes Simon a costume in #161, and it's very ugly.

Avengers V1 #164, #181, #194, #197-#198 (it is imperitive you ignore the Carol arc here. don't worry about it), #201, #203, and ending with #211 are their main stint on the Avengers together, but you can read all of the issues in between these if you so choose! These are just the ones with the more notable scenes. This is the main era of Wonderbeast, and after this Simon soon gets sucked into WCA and Hank into X-Factor and eventually the X-Men proper. There's a few random issues here and there, but we don't get a proper reunion until...

Wonder Man V2 #5-#6, post WCA, in Simon's asshole era. Hank also appears in both Annuals, and in #23-#25 where Simon goes to biblical hell, don't worry about it.

Avengers V3 #14 is their next meeting, after Simon has died in Force Works #1 and Hank grieved for him at his funeral in Tales of the Marvels: Wonder Years. Good issue!

Avengers Two: Wonder Man and the Beast

Their next major appearance together won't be until Avengers V4 Annual, which is the tail end of an arc where Simon went crazy and assembled a team of superheroes to like take down the Avengers or whatever. Don't worry about it.

A+X #12 deals with the fallout of the above. That's +, not vs.

Uncanny Avengers V3 #28

X-Force V6 #49-#50, this is in Hank's evil war crimes era, or more accurately, signals the end of it, and these issues permanently change my brain chemistry. Genuinely insane stuff. I won't spoil anything if this is your first forey but my G-d.

Bonus! Exiles V2 #1-#6 has a Hank who canonically was in a relationship with his Wonder Man, and this series was cancelled early and you can TELL they had more planned for this iteration of the characters but alas...... we will never know :(

1. Her dad was in the air force the same time as Captain Marvel.

2. While Elektra was eventually sold to the Kree, she was originally taken from earth for a different reason (and by a different person).

3. Elektra, like all Eternals, has the ability to manipulate cosmic energy

4. Elektra and Peter eventually have four kids and they’re all MENACES.

5. All of the Eternals eventually find out about Elektra and treat her like the annoying baby sister who eventually turns out to be right and it’s hilarious.

6. Elektra gets a 1v1 fight in nearly every movie she’s featured in. (GOTG has her against Ronan, GOTG2 has her against Ego, IW and EG have her against Thanos, Eternals has her against Ikaris, and GOTG3 has her against the High Evolutionary).

7. She’s a bit of a klepto

8. Elektra at some point manages to accrue a cult-like following after the battle on Xandar, earning her such titles like Celestia and Harbinger. Shenanigans ensue.

9. Her eventual dynamic with Ikaris is SO GOOD and omg I could talk for hours just about how much it all hurts and makes me sad but just KNOW when we get to Eternals it’s gonna be GOOD.

10. The very first concert she ever attends is the Backstreet Boys reunion concert.

2023 Drama Year in Review

I watched 21 Kdramas released in 2023. I am relatively new to this—I watched Extraordinary Attorney Woo last fall, then started watching things Netflix suggested in the new year, then started finding things on other platforms and wow! In total I watched 83 Kdramas this year 👀 (I also watched 17 Cdramas and 8 Jdramas this year). A lot of this was over the summer but yeah it’s a lot. Putting my list of favorites below the cut:

My favorites released in 2023:

Daily Dose of Sunshine was a hard watch but so relatable for someone like me who has struggled with depression in the past. This one has stuck with me for a while. Sad but hopeful.

Moving is one of the few I’ve recommended to people irl. My brother is a fan of Marvel & DC stuff and I know he’d enjoy it. It’s one of the best superhero series I’ve seen.

Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 was a riot! I had so much fun watching this one and the wardrobe is A+. Also loved the gumiho bros getting a chance to reunite.

Love to Hate You was also super fun to watch! I watched this twice this year, once alone and once with my oldest kid (18). Love the chaotic bits and the romance was so satisfying!

Call It Love was quietly beautiful. The characters’ struggles made my heart ache and although it had a last minute reunion (I’m not usually fond of those), it was still a moving and steady show that stayed near the top of this year’s list.

My Dearest blew me away! Such a master class in character development and longing! Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin stole the show with their acting but I was fond of the support cast as well. Unfortunately I wasn’t as satisfied with the second half of the series (pacing and double amnesia was meh) but it was still really good and near the top of my list for the year.

Perfect Marriage Revenge was a perfect makjang with what I consider some of the best pacing and romance of anything I watched this year. The villains were fantastically villain-y and the revenge was so, so sweet. Loved it!

D.P. 2 is somewhat different in tone from most of the stuff I watch but sometimes a serious show looking at serious social issues is just what I need. Love the way the characters fight for each other—their little found family dynamic is the best.

Twinkling Watermelon was lovely for the family dynamics—I loved the son getting to know his parents as teens. And I really liked the way deaf characters were a major part of the story as characters with feelings and relationships and not just one-off side characters.

Honorable mention: King the Land for romantic fluff with very little conflict, Moon in the Day for complicated past lives and ghosts and beautiful romance, Vigilante for Nam Joo Hyuk being badass, Castaway Diva for nice music and Chae Jong Hyeop playing an ML who was the greenest of flags.

Other faves I watched this year that were released before 2023:

Crash Landing on You will always near the top of my list. Love that found family.

Mr. Queen made me see that historicals could be fun and omg Shin Hye Sun being the best!

Tomorrow could have been too difficult, but even with the concept of trying to save suicidal people, it gave so much hope. The comfort women episode was so moving. Rowoon was also adorable.

Our Beloved Summer had one of my favorite soundtracks and a lot of heart. The scene where FL watches ML doing his art at the event was sweet.

25 21 was the best sport-related drama with perfect 90s vibes (haha I was a teen in the 90s), sweet friends-to-lovers romance, and a realistic (if disappointing) ending.

Crazy Love was so chaotically funny at the beginning and I loved it. I will never forget the revenge onions.

My Lovely Sam Soon was the oldest show I watched (2005) and I just adored Sam Soon. ML wasn’t my favorite but I can overlook that bc she stole the show for me.

My fave Cdramas I watched this year: Meet Yourself, Put Your Head on My Shoulder, Love Between Fairy and Devil, Love Like the Galaxy

Favorite Jdramas watched this year: On a Starry Night and First Love: Hatsukoi

Currently watching and enjoying: Tell Me That You Love Me (this will prob be at the top of my list next year if it doesn’t fall apart before it ends in January), Welcome to Samdal-ri, Like Flowers in Sand

[Post-Infinity War Stucky reunion fic anyone?]

When Steve and Tony shattered the soul stone, per Shuri's careful instructions, they were told that those who turned to ash would come back in small increments. Each person would piece back together in a different place at a different time, with no way to really determine when and where.

Some arrived almost instantly, with Peter being among the batch to show up three blocks away from Stark Tower. Tony cried when he found him, a lot more than anyone expected, and Peter was tired, relieved, and scared.

When Peter was a little more coherent, Steve asked about Bucky, but Peter didn't know much-- his memories too hazy from straddling the line between life and death. He was apologetic, but Steve dismissed the almost constant "I'm sorry's" with a soft smile.

And, that was two weeks ago. More people have come back since then, but Steve has yet to reunite with Bucky, his heart sinking just a little more when someone else shows up with no knowledge of Bucky's whereabouts.

After week three, Steve stops taking trips to Wakanda to look for Bucky, taking to his apartment to be alone while the rest of the world works to recover from Thanos's actions.

His friends check up on him, but he politely declines lunch dates, or meetings, or runs with Sam. He just wants to be alone with his thoughts, to wonder if it's possible that Bucky could be the rare 1% to get stuck in limbo.

His thoughts keep him up most nights, and if he does nod off, as right now, his dreams are filled with Bucky's face, his smile, his hair blowing in a cool breeze, his laugh, his snarky jabs, his--

A sound in the kitchen pulls Steve from his sleep, and he shoots up in his bed, sleep long forgotten against a pulse of adrenaline that has his eyes wide, alert, quickly adjusting to the darkness as he reaches for Bucky's handgun under his pillow, a habit he picked up from Bucky himself.

He swaps off the safety as he swings his legs over the bed, padding quietly across the floor, muscles tensing up when he hears the faint sound of glasses clicking together, followed by the rushing sound of the tap turning on.

He'a got the gun aimed forward as he slips out of the bedroom and down the hall to the dark kitchen. He can see a shape, a mere silhouette, standing at the sink, with his or her back to him, and he points the gun to the intruder's back.

"Don't move," Steve calls out. "I'm armed." He keeps his voice low, deep vibrato echoing against the walls.

The person goes still, glass hovering before their lips, and then a voice calls back.

"Is that my gun?"

Steve's heart skips a beat, forgetting to function in favor of lurching up his throat with rapid jumps. His arms go to jelly, and he just manages to swap the safety back on before the gun slips from his fingers, clattering loudly to the floor.

"Hey, Rogers. Watch the merchandise. That was expensive."

Steve can't speak, and when Bucky turns around, he can only reach blindly for the wall to turn on the lights. When he hits the switch, Bucky comes into full view-- he looks tired, pale, a little rough for wear, but he's got a smile across his lips, and it melts the ice that's coated Steve's veins for weeks.

"Buck." Steve mutters, and he steps over the forgotten gun, around the small kitchen table, until he's standing just before Bucky. "You're okay?" He asks, hands hovering over him, afraid that Bucky may be hurt somehow.

"Yeah."

That's all Steve needs. He pulls Bucky to him, pressing his lips against Bucky's so hard, as if he can't get enough. Bucky groans against Steve's lips, a deep growl in the back of his throat. His fingers dig into Steve's back as one of Steve's hands finds his hair, long fingers getting lost in the tangles.

They stay like this for minutes, drinking the other in to make up for lost time, to physically illustrate the pain from separation, but Bucky is the first to pull away with light gasps.

"Think we can pick this up in the morning? I'm exhausted."

Steve's quick to step away with a worried frown. "Of course. I'm sorry. Come on, let's get you to bed."

"Shower first," Bucky says, Steve guides him to the bathroom before waiting in the bedroom for the fifteen minutes it takes Bucky to wash away the past setting of the soul stone.

When Bucky's finished and changed, he climbs into bed, and Steve positions himself so Bucky can use his chest as a pillow.

The wet, dripping strands of Bucky's hair are cold against Steve's bare chest, but it's a familiar chill he's come to miss the last few weeks.

"I've missed you."

Bucky traces one finger across Steve's torso as a yawn slips past his lips. "I can tell. You left the spare key on the the top of the mat instead of underneath."

"Some people have come back with broken memories," Steve informs, and Bucky hums in agreement.

"I did too. But three bus trips to get back here helped me piece everything back together."

Bucky's tone is easy, but there's a hint of something more-- something that has Steve frowning.

"Are you okay?"

Bucky considers this for an extended moment as he smooths his hand over Steve's chest to feel the rise and fall.

"I am now."

“Wow,” you gritted your teeth at the familiar voice, “They actually hired you. I didn’t know SHIELD was that desperate.”

You inhaled deeply before turning around. Tony was leaning against the doorway to the lab, is arms folded as he glared at you. You gave him a forced bright smile.

“Stark,” you said, “I’d say it’s a pleasure but we both know that’s bullshit.”

Tony approached slowly until it was only your desk in between the two of you. He put his hands on your desk as he leant forward. You wanted to wipe that smug look off of his face. Ever since you had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting him at MIT, the two of you had been competing against each other ever since.

“I didn’t think you’d come to work for SHIELD.”

You were dragged out of your thoughts by Tony’s words. You frowned at him and folded your arms.

“Not all of us are billionaires,” you said, “Some of us have to work for a living.”

“Now why don’t you-“

Rhodey sighed as he looked between you and Tony. Bruce looked between the two of you, slowly realising that he would have to share a workspace with you.

“Is it usually like this?” he asked

“No,” said Rhodey, “Usually it’s much worse.”

You inhaled deeply as Tony stood on the other side of the see through white board. He smirked at you and you gripped the marker tightly.

“No I’m not,” you said, “I’ve done the calculation and I’ve checked my working out. My Maths is perfect.”

“Then why did you forget to carry the two.”

“The two? What two?”

You squinted at your calculations as you tried to find what Tony was talking about.

“Umm, y/n?”

“Not now Bruce,” you muttered, “I’m trying to prove a point.”

“But there is no two.”

“Huh?”

“So far you’re right.” Bruce said with a shy smile

You turned to look back at Tony who started laughing at your expression.

“You bastard! Stop making me doubt myself.”

You tried to move to the other side of the board but Tony kept it between you. Bruce sighed and moved to the side as you kept trying to get at Tony. You were vaguely aware of the door opening but you ignored it until someone said,

“Can you two please stop flirting. Fury wants to see the both of you.”

“Flirting?” you turned around and saw Clint looking amused, “Why the fuck would I want to flirt with him?”

“You wound me y/n.”

“Good.”

“Weren’t you ever taught that violence is never the answer?” Toy asked

“We both work for SHIELD,” you said dryly, “I swear violence is usually the first answer.”

You and Tony walked passed Bruce and Clint, still bickering. Clint turned to Bruce who had taken to cleaning his glasses.

“What’s going on with them?” he asked

“No idea,” Bruce said with a shrug, “Rhodey said it happened in their last year of MIT. Apart from that, nothing.”

“I hate to admit it,” Tony said bitterly, “But he’s right.”

Silence settled over the lab and you almost dropped your pen in shock. You glanced up at Tony who was looking at you with pursed lips.

“This is a suicide mission,” he continued, “Count me out.”

You could hear the generals on the other end of the phone cursing at Tony as he hung up the phone. An awkward silence settled over the two of you and you leant back in your chair, kicked your legs up on the desk, and folded your arms. Tony was looking anywhere but at you.

“Hey JARVIS.” You said at least

“Yes Mr L/n?”

“Please tell me you recorded that.”

“Recorded what exactly?”

“Stark admitting I was right.”

You swung your legs off the desk and walked over to Tony. You poked him on the arm and said,

“I can fall asleep easily knowing that fact.”

“Falling asleep to the sound of my voice,” Tony said, “I never knew that about you.”

“There are a lot of things you don’t know about me. I’ve changed a lot since uni.”

“We both have.”

Tony’s eyes locked with yours and you found yourself becoming uncomfortable. You quickly looked away and started walking back to your desk.

“Looks like it’s going to be another late night,” Tony said, “Takeaway? The usual or do you want to try something new.”

It had become almost like a tradition between you and Tony. During late nights you’d grab a takeaway and just spend the night in the lab. While you did get work done, a lot of the time you spent catching up from the years you’d been apart. You had almost come to enjoy those nights.

“Not tonight Stark,” you said shrugging on your jacket, “Got plans.”

“Plans.”

“Yeah.”

“More important than this.” Tony waved his hand at the half-finished projects that were littered around the lab

“I had it planned for weeks.”

“Oh.”

“Just dinner.”

“Sounds like a date.” He said jokingly

“That’s because it is.”

You grabbed your phone and looked over at Stark. He was clenching in mobile so hard that for a moment you thought it was going to break.

“Stark?”

Tony jumped at the sound of your voice and you briefly frowned. He put his mobile down, a little harder than necessary, and you winced at the noise.

“I’ll see you tomorrow.” You said as you headed out

“Right,” Tony said to the empty lab, “See you tomorrow.”

“Stark,” you yelled as you stormed into the lab, “Where the fuck are you?”

“Mr l/n-“

“Not now JARVIS,” you said, “This is important. I swear, Stark is going to regret this.”

You slammed open the door to the lab and looked around. It was seemingly empty but you knew better. You narrowed your eyes and you walked around.

“One thing,” you said, “One good thing happened to me since I started working here. A cute guy asked me out on a date. Do you know how fucking rare that is? I was looking forward to this evening and then I got a fucking call from you. An emergency you said. Couldn’t you have called Bruce or Rhodey or Pepper? Fuck, you could’ve called Steve for all I care. Why did it have to be me?”

“Because I missed you.”

“Huh?”

Tony was sitting on the floor behind his desk. You perched on it and looked down at him. He glanced up and jumped when he saw how close you were. You raised an eyebrow as he practically leapt to his feet, looking embarrassed.

“How was your date?” he asked

“Cut short. Why the fuck did you call me.”

Tony ran a hand through his hair. Realisation hit you as you saw him stumble slightly.

“Are you drunk?”

“No. Yes. Maybe, slightly.”

“Fucking hell Tony,” you sighed and shook your head, “You don’t know what you’re saying.”

“I do and I miss you. Felt strange tonight without you by my side. Got used to you being here.”

“Tony-“

“I like that.”

“What?”

“The way you say my name.”

Your breath hitched when you felt his hands touch your shoulders.

“I fucking hate you,” he muttered, “And yet-“

“I need to go.”

You jumped away from Tony. When you looked over your shoulders you saw Tony’s hands hanging awkwardly in the air. You winced when you saw his face and quickly looked away.

“Sober up,” you said quietly, “Then talk to me.”

Before Tony could say another word you bolted. You didn’t want to see Tony’s face. If you stayed it would end up exactly like last time. The two of you weren’t teenagers any more. Once you were safely in the lift you wiped your eyes.

“JARVIS?”

“Yes?”

“Can you do me a favour?”

When JARVIS didn’t immediately respond you continued,

“You’ve recorded what just happened. Can you make sure that nobody ever sees that? Ton- Stark included.”

I have to say something for LOKIUS shippers.

If you all think that ship sail with Sylvie think about it one more time.

Sylvie manipulate our Loki. She doesn’t listen him, she did what she wanted from beginning. She KISS him on purpose. She knew that he had a crush on her from beginning - that scene with blanked, too. She knows even better then him that Mobius cares about him. She sees more then our Loki, and she can do more then Loki. She made a mistake but she had to do it, it was revenge. I don’t say that she doesn’t like him, because she does, but not so much as Sylvie shippers think. She is different then him.

Next scene which was in TVA - Loki appears in TVA, was broken, sad. He knows what happens. He knows that that kiss was faked, he knows that she betrayed him. I understood that she is not him, he is not her. They are not similar. There was no trust, which is the most important thing in relationships, in love. So we have something there - Mobius asked Loki if she likes him too. Good lord, I know from this time that Sylvie doesn’t like him that way.

Ok and the last thing, that scene when he realized that ok Sylvie betrayed him, but he is not alone, he has somebody important. He has Mobius in TVA. He will search him, he want to see him, he is determined. That look in his face says everything. He was sad few seconds, minutes. But true is he is first time not alone when he feels pain.

And FUSHDHS what we have? We have beautiful scene, long scene, when he was searching his Mobius. And he found him! He look at him with his eyes almost the same eyes when he was going to leave with Sylvie in 2 episode. I thought “omg the most beautiful reunion, I don’t care even then Loki and Sylvie fakekissed. But few second later we know. He is not that Mobius.

So the last episode was very cruel for both shippers. Marvel made something crazy good. I mean, they gave then SylviexLoki kiss. They gave us MobiusxLoki sweet reunion (sweet because that long scene when Loki just running to Mobius was hilarious) but both scenes was lies.

They made us all sad. Couse kiss wasn’t reall, true emotional kiss.

And reunion wasn’t real, because it’s not his Mobius.

The only one true thing is that Loki HAD crush on Sylvie, and she used it. And Loki probably KNOWS now that his true feelings are towards Mobius. I don’t know if they are romantic, but hello, that long scene when he looking for Mobius is made on purpose. Marvel is playing with us making all ships unhappy or happy.
