People bringing up Chayanne is a glass child like yeah this has been a huge thing and was one of the culminating points of the fight that happened with Chayanne and Tallulah last year. I love this family sm and I love the way q!Phil is portrayed as a flawed parent
I don’t think a lot of people realize that q!Phil is absolutely incapable of reading emotions specifically Chayanne’s. Especially when Chayanne hides them to act tougher and fine. It’s a double edge sword and it’s nothing that can be fixed if it’s not said to his face.
ex: when Chayanne said that he hated fighting q!Phil he IMMEDIATELY broke into “I’m so sorry” and apologized over and over again you can tell he felt HORRIBLE. He cracked the moment Chayanne started opening up about what he really felt.
q!Phil sucks ass at noticing when his kid feels a certain way and it’s something he KNOWS. It’s why they said they would open up to each other more because q!Phil just /cant/ read his kids minds. And Chayanne is trying his best to slowly let out his emotions and that’s GOOD.
It’s FINE. He doesn’t need to bleed right then and there. It will take time for him to process what happened and it will take time for him to open up and q!Phil will be there ready when he can.
And I know it fucking sucks to see it happen but I for one think it needs to happen.
q!Phil and Chayanne’s relationship is very unique and specific. They believe in each others abilities and trust each other to take care of themselves. Chayanne has always seen his dad as untouchable so imagine how he feels knowing that he’s not invincible?
Chayanne is a mirror image of q!Phil both in all the good and the bad. Things aren’t black and white as most people make it out to be and no q!Phil is not a horrible parent, he’s not a bad guy and no Chayanne does not think less of his father.
Having q!Phil in Chayanne’s life has been so important to his development and it’s been good. He just needs the balance that q!Missa brings. Because in all the flaws that q!Missa has q!Phil is there to pick him up and vice versa.
The death family is the most flawed, troubled, loved, imperfectly perfect family and it’s why I love them so deeply. Because through all the pain and flaws they prefer to go through it together. They love one another and support each other unconditionally.

Okay I’m seeing a lot of “Stolas shouldn’t have sprung everything onto Blitzø all at once and he should’ve given Blitzø time to process” but 1. This talk was soooo long overdue that it’s better that Stolas was as clear as possible and got everything off of his chest because their communication has been pretty awful thus far and 2. Blitzø was kinda the one who started heavily insulting Stolas while following him down the hallway? I don’t blame Stolas for teleporting Blitzø out, they both were very hurt in the conversation and anything further said probably wasn’t going to help the situation at all. I just hate how the fandom has to make one or the other into the bad person in the relationship like???
#// it’s like these people don’t know relationships can be very messy#// especially between two people dealing with a lot of mental instability#// which is a whole other rant#// where people bring up how Blitzø is mentally unwell whilst forgetting that Stolas isn’t that much better#// mans has clinical depression and is an abuse survivor#// like can we not compare people’s illnesses and experiences pls#// hell they aren’t even real but I feel like people do this with real people too and it makes me so mad#// btw I keep forgetting this whole interaction happened while Stolas was off his happy pills#// I’m literally in pain#helluva boss spoilers#full moon spoilers#stolitz#spoilers#shut up marv#antis dni

I am so FUCKING sick of columbine fangirl losers! Seeing the fucking news and seeing that piece of shit in that KMFDM shirt made my fucking blood boil.
That community is a disease. They said that they don’t condone and that they don’t idolize but they wanna be just like those sicko losers. And then shit like this happens. Fucking wake up and turn off your computer/phone and get help.
As fucking well, people need to monitor the shit their kids are doing online. Most of that community (along with the shooter) are young teens. And I’ve said it before and I’ll said it again, the tcc is a huge sign that you’re mentally ill, suicidal, and calling out for help by doing things out of the ordinary.
This shit has my blood boiling rn and I just needed to rant about it. And the fact that this will be swept under the rug in a week cause that’s how all shootings in America happen. People just don’t care about dead kids.

I’m getting really tired of people saying that MCU sucks now, because if I’m honest it doesn’t suck, yes I miss the old MCU with the og avengers and all that but if MCU is to continue they have to introduce more characters because if we only had the og avengers they would’ve died of old age anyway in the end, and personally I like that they have a multiverse know and the new movies aren’t horrible, sure the older ones are better but the new ones doesn’t suck, Guardians of the Galaxy are always good (some of the best marvel movies all three of them, not counting the Christmas one), Qantumania could’ve been better but it wasn’t horrible, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness honestly love it.
Maybe I have somehow ended up on the wrong side of the marvel fan base on the internet

After literally three days (cuz pixlr e sucks now) I have managed to make reply icons (three of them, funnily enough)
But there was one problem, I used ministrife sprites on the sides, and because they were all in one image and I couldn't find any singular images of the sprite I wanted on my own, I had to erase the others and THE GHOSTLY REMAINS OF THE OTHER SPRITE IS STILL HERE
I can't fix it because my three daily saves are up :'[[[[

marv like silly donna to think she can IDK fly a plane like a vic .. lead a mission like dick... can she do anything right? No, but its all totally IC as opposed to Dick's mistakes which are retconned to be OOC to such a degree that he spent the vast majority of the comic brainwashed including what was supposed to be his "defining himself away from batman" arc
No one ever talks about Donna almost crashing into the Twin Towers

There’s something else you need to know about that night…..
He could hardly believe his own ears. The idea that his own mother- could he call her that anymore?- would keep something like that from him….. It didn’t sit right.
I could hardly believe it myself but he knew too much detail for me to think he was lying…..
He’d always known he was adopted. Mom- Abby and Bonham never kept that from him. But this? It was too bizarre to be real.
We wanted to tell you sooner, but by the time we’d figured out what to say you’d already gone off with Denise and after that.... Well, there just never seemed to be a good time to tell you.
Nothing felt real. Calling Gale had gone smoother than he thought all things considered. Perhaps the elation of getting to meet her long-lost son had overridden her hatred for him, if only for a short while. The thought of their DNA test coming out as a match still sent a shiver down his spine.
We’re really, really sorry.
The test came back positive. 100% chance that Gale Davidson was his biological mother. He requested a second test, just to be sure. Another positive result.
Cordi? Please say something.....
“I know this is a lot for you to take in dear. I mean, I can’t imagine why Abby would lie to you for so long....” Gale took his hand in both of hers. “Goodness knows why she kept this from me. Not to mention Marv. I just want you to know that, whatever bad happened between us, you’re my family. My son. Just know that, whenever you’re ready, you’re welcome in my home.” She smiled sweetly and got on her toes to kiss his cheek.
It took all his self control not to flinch away from her touch.
“Are you okay?” Geri asked before handing him the beer he ordered. “I know this isn’t really easy for you to deal with….”
“You know, I think you’re the first person to ask me that,” Cordell murmured. “I don’t know what to think right now. Like…. I always knew I was adopted. Momma and Daddy told me that right out. I never thought….. Gale always hated me, even before the fire happened. And now… Now she wants to hug me and she’s calling me family like…like she didn’t want me on death row or some shit like a week ago. And Momma and Daddy are all stuck up in their guilt over everything, which they should be feeling that way, but it’s like they want me to just forgive them right off and put everything behind us. I don’t- I can’t do that. Not right now at least.”
Geri nodded and pressed the beer bottle into his hands. “Drink up; you can stay with me tonight if you want.”
He smiled at her and took a long pull. “I’ll drink to that.”
—---------------
He told his kids the next day. They handled it about as well as could be reasonably expected, which is not very well at all.
Stella was loud in her anger, ranting on and off about how ridiculous the whole thing sounded and was he sure, like really sure, and asking hypotheticals about what, exactly, they were supposed to do with this information.
August was quieter. He was upset, that much Cordell could see, but there was a storm behind those eyes that may very well never see the light of day. August asked a few questions, finishing his interrogation by asking if their heritage meant they could go back to the ranch. Cordell just repeated Gale’s words. That seemed like a decent answer, though his son was still quiet for the rest of the day.
He did eventually talk to his parents. They were as apologetic as they’d been the day before, but he shut them down and told them he wasn’t ready for that talk yet. Maybe later, when he had a chance to really process it, but he still felt too raw.
Talking to Liam had been harder than expected. Out of all the Walkers, Liam had always had the biggest issues with the Davidsons, so maybe it shouldn’t have been a surprise. But they were still brothers, regardless of his blood. Liam had never treated him like he was different or bad just because he was adopted; why would that change now? Things were just complicated for him these days, it seemed.
“It’s not that I don’t trust you or anything but-”
“But what? It’s not like I chose this!”
“I know that but-” Liam sighed. “Look, I just- What does this mean for you? For us?”
“What do you mean ‘what does this mean’? It barely changes anything! We- We’ve always been brothers. This doesn’t matter!”
“Doesn’t it? Is that why you’ve barely said a word to Mom and Dad all day? Because this doesn’t matter?”
“That’s completely unrelated to this. They lied to me for most of my life. You’re just deciding that things have to be different for no good reason.”
“That’s not-”
“Do you think I like this? Do you think I wanted this? Do you really think that I’m entertaining this for any reason beyond getting our home back?” Cordell huffed. “I don’t like this anymore than you do. But it’s happening and maybe- just maybe- if I play along, we can go home. Is that such a bad thing?”
“Is that really it?”
“Wh- What are you even talking about?”
Liam shrugged. “I don’t know. Just…. You’ve always been kinda soft on them.”
Cordell just stared at him, dumbfounded. “Are you serious?”
“I’m just saying-”
“Well stop!” he snapped. “You have no right to accuse me of anything. Just because I tried to be civil, I’m a traitor?” He scoffed. “I honestly thought you were better than that. I figured a lawyer would know a thing or two about being objective, but I guess there’s a reason you got fired.”
Liam rolled his eyes. “Why am I not surprised?”
Cordell stormed out of the room. He knew he probably shouldn’t leave the conversation that way, but he wasn’t in the mood to have an argument that didn’t need to be had in the first place.
He could deal with Liam better once he got his own feelings in order.
—--------------
Standing on the front porch of the house he grew up in felt weird. He was coming as a guest- and he was a guest, no matter how much Gale tried to call him family- and he could already see the redecorating the Davidsons had done. Gone were Abby’s flowers and Bonham’s woodworking projects. Instead there was kitschy Home is Where the Heart is decor and bare rose bushes.
He tried to smile when Gale opened the door. “Hi.”
She grinned brightly. “Oh, hello!” She wrapped him in a tight hug that he cautiously returned. “I’m glad you could make it for dinner. Did you bring the kids?”
“Uh, no. No, they- they weren’t up for it.”
“Oh, alright….” She stepped back, pulling back out of the hug just enough to leave her hands on his arms. “It’s so good to have you home. Feels like a lifetime since….” She sighed and shook her head. “Look at me, getting all depressing on a day like this.”
“It’s okay,” he said. “I’m…having a lot of conflicting feelings right now.”
“Oh, I’m sure.” She finally dropped her arms, releasing him. “I just…. I can’t stop thinking about how it didn't have to be this way, you know?”
“Yeah, I guess not,” he said, because he didn’t know what else to say. “Is, uh, Denise and everyone okay with me being here?”
“Well….” Gale’s smile dimmed a bit. “Denise is working late and Colton and Dan are still unpacking things at the farmhouse. But that’s alright; we’ve got plenty of our own catching up to do.” She grabbed his hand and dragged him inside. “Go on and wash up; dinner’s almost ready. I made my chili!”
Cordell wondered if it was too late to fake being sick. “Sounds delicious,” he muttered. “I’ll- I’ll just be a minute.”
“Take your time; make yourself at home.”
He flinched inwardly and wondered if she realized how obtuse she sounded. “Yeah, sure….”
As soon as he was safely in the bathroom, he took out his phone for an emergency text.
[To: Geri]: I might need to stay over again tonight
[From: Geri]: My spare room is always open. What’s the occasion?
[To: Geri]: I made a questionable decision and I’m not sure I can handle seeing my family after
[From: Geri]: Say no more. I’ll get some more beer on the way home.
[To: Geri]: You’re an angel
[From: Geri]: And don’t you forget it ;)
At least she was on his side.

In Defense Of Kevin McCalister
WARNING: Super long, pointless rant/character analysis about a now 33-year-old movie coming up.
You have been warned.
Also, disclaimer: it has been years at this point since I've seen Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and I'm like 99% sure that Home Alone 4 is set in the Bizarro Universe, given that all the original characters are played by new actors. So I won't be counting the events from either of those movies for this post, just the first movie. Also, for that reason I'm just going to keep referring to Marv and Harry as the 'Wet Bandits' throughout this whole post, instead of going back and forth between calling them that and the Sticky Bandits.
Anyway! It's December now, and I think at this point everyone and their dog theorizing about how Kevin is a psychopath, or sociopath, or grew up to be Jigsaw (no, really, for those who don't know that IS an actual theory) because of the torture he put the Wet Bandits through is almost as much a holiday tradition as actually watching the movie.
But I finally got to rewatch the movie recently, and I have a few thoughts.
I. The McCallisters
So um, I don't know about you guys, but from what we see of the entire extended McCallister family at the beginning of the movie, they kinda seem like a lowkey toxic bunch:
Okay, maybe 'toxic' is a bit much--to their credit, there are a lot of extra people in that house, they're about to go abroad for a trip, so it's not surprising that everyone would be stressed out and tensions are running high.
But that doesn't make their behavior right.
Early on, we see the family, kids included, pushing their stress and misery onto each other, and especially onto Kevin. Granted, Kevin himself is kind of a brat at the start of the movie, but guess what?
He's still an eight-year-old kid.
He's the youngest, at least in his immediate family, and the whole night he's either ignored by the adults, insulted by his siblings and cousins, no one bothers to help him pack, and he's told he'll have to bunk with his cousin, who is a bed-wetter. That's a LOT for a kid to deal with, and with everything piling up, can you really blame him for snapping over something as simple as a cheese pizza?!?!?
So to sum up: This eight-year-old boy spends the entire night getting dumped on and looked down on by all his older family members, and in the one moment he finally dares to retaliate, it results in a mess that gets all of them even angrier at him, and he's sent to his room angry and upset, and feeling like all of them hate him.
You're really going to tell me that none of you ever had an experience like this with your families as a kid????????
Can you really blame him for wishing his family away after a night like that?!?!?
Also just a quick side note: Someone else pointed out that, well, Kevin thought he made his family disappear. So it's not really surprising that the kid would probably think he's tough enough to take on two grown adults after that.
Now, that all being said, let's talk about:
II. The Wet Bandits
Look, I'm not going to act like I didn't wince watching some of the torture Marv and Harry went through, especially Marv stepping on nails and Christmas ornaments...talk about agony of the feet (don't boo me, that's the actual trope name!)
But there's one teeny, tiny little thing I think most people tend to overlook when talking about these guys, and the hell they went through...
MARV AND HARRY ARE CRIMINALS.
We literally start the movie with Harry pretending to be a cop to get information on the McCallister's home, and their security defenses, so that he can rob the place with Marv later.
And okay, to their credit, it's not like the pair start off trying to hurt Kevin right off the bat.
Doesn't change the fact that they were still planning to rob his home, and very likely WOULD hurt him if/when they found him in the house they were planning to rob.
And yeah yeah, the McCallisters seem to live in a rich neighborhood, and seem very well-off themselves, but you can't tell me that you would see THIS outside your house:
And NOT get scared, especially if you were a small child left at home with no family to help and protect you.
Kevin doesn't go full Jigsaw on them right away--in this scene, after tricking the pair into leaving by turning the lights on, he runs and hides under the bed, like the scared child that he is.
To address another post that I've seen once--'KeViN cOuLd HaVe CaLlEd ThE pOlIcE aNy TiMe!' No. He couldn't have. The phone lines were down.
Also, the police, for most of the movie, seem uncaring at best--when his mother calls the police to get them to check on her son, they all but roll their eyes when talking to this worried, scared mother who wants to make sure her son is safe, and while a police officer DOES come to check on the kid eventually, Kevin is still too scared from seeing the burglars to answer the door. Because, again, he is a confused, scared child.
And again, the very first 'police officer' we see in this movie is revealed to be one of the very criminals trying to rob his house.
And yet, when the kid accidentally steals a toothbrush (because he was scared of his neighbor, who was in the store with him), a cop goes after him.
Oh yeah, and it's not like Kevin goes full torture technician on the Wet Bandits the SECOND time they come around either--just uses a lot of dummies, cut-outs, and strings, as well as Christmas music, to make it seem like the house is full of people.
Then the Wet Bandits find out they've been had.
And it's then, and ONLY THEN, that Kevin turns his house into a Saw trap--remember, these grown men are dangerous criminals who fully intended to rob his place, and again, it's not a stretch of the imagination to think that, even though they didn't want to hurt him originally, they wouldn't have ANY PROBLEM WHATSOEVER doing so when they came to his house again after finding out that he tricked them.
TL;DR: KEVIN WAS A LITERAL CHILD WHO WAS LEFT TO FEND FOR HIMSELF AGAINST TWO BAD PEOPLE WHO WOULD HAVE HURT HIM, OR *WORSE* IF GIVEN THE CHANCE JUST TO GET WHAT THEY WANTED, AND WAS JUST TRYING TO PROTECT HIMSELF.
#rhys-ravenfeather signing on#home alone#yeah sorry i know this is dumb but honestly?#those 'kevin is a sadistic xyz' comments/theories are getting old#also yeah i definitely give the mom credit for doing everything she could to get home to her son#i will also acknowledge that parts of this post might be a bit disjointed and there might be some things i'm missing#feel free to correct me on some things or debate me#i just had to put this out there

Missa cubito ohmygod today’s stream was SOOO.
Firstly, I haven’t talked about this but the fact that q!Missa has finally accepted the family home as his home too makes me want to snob. The fact that he calls it HIS home too, after spending so long distancing himself and saying that he doesn’t deserve to live with them? It makes my heart spin. And yes he still has his movements of self doubt but he knows now that this is his home and this is where he will always return to no matter what.
And I adore the little things that Missa notices. Last stream he got so giddy over the barrel in the house with his name on it and got so happy that he was included with the rest of the family even if he didn’t have anything in it. And then once again today gasping and getting happy at seeing the barrel again as if it was the first time all over. Missa loves being loved and he adores the little things the family does to show it. And how does he return the favor? With drawings he can leave behind dedicated to each one of them. Because he loves his family and he will find a way to physically show it even if he can’t be awake when they are.
And ohhh today with the cakes. He struggled so much and he lost so much energy trying to make the birthday cake for Tallulah but he would not give up until he got it done for both of them because his kids deserve it. And can I also point out I don’t think he realized it was also Chayanne’s birthday but he still made him a cake because he wanted to give something to his son and not make him feel left out. And when he was making the drawing for Tallulah he would not stop and he would not let ANYTHING distract him because his daughter deserves the world and she deserves the perfect painting.
Then come the raccoons. He goes and helps them clean because maybe he can earn money for the family and help out more around the house -> something Missa has always struggled with. He always wants to provide for the family the way they have him so he goes along with these raccoons. Then it all goes to shit when Bad logs on and he finds out it was his home they were cleaning. He finds the dead bodies and he gets scared because… who is this man he’s been calling his friend? Why does he have a grave of bodies underneath his home?
Missa runs. He tries to run away from q!Bad but he always finds him. And then it gets revealed that Missa was working with the raccoons and Bad backs away from Missa because how could he betray him. And Missa does try to explain it, he doesn’t know what is going on. He’s lost and confused and no one is answering his questions. q!Bad threatens and leaves q!Missa with the racoons just for the racoons to stab Missa in the back and rob him too.
This is when he asks himself, who can he trust? q!Bad isn’t who he thought he was, and the racoons betrayed him. He has considered q!Bad a friend for a long time because he’s always on when Missa is on and is always there to help (though if you ask me I would argue the opposite). He tried finding a way to justify Bad’s behavior, even the stuff chat brings up until he can’t. So, he goes back home and prepares a letter to Phil.
Because he realizes after everything in his life, after continuously trusting and relying on the wrong people, he concludes he can only trust q!Phil.
Missa never really leaves letters. His thing has always been paintings and small gifts. But for the first time (in what might be a long time) he leaves Phil a letter. Now that he’s accepted this is his home, he sees it’s also a place people can use to hurt him, in this case q!Bad.
Notice how when q!Bad came back and said he was gonna prank q!Phil and left, q!Missa immediately ran in to check on the kids? His priority and his fear will always be losing his family. He has spent so much of his life pushing himself a way from them, he doesn’t want to lose them when they’re so so close.
But as always… Missa runs. He runs away and sleeps somewhere else for tonight.
In his defense, I will say that this time it’s different. He’s running to protect his family. Is it the best option? I don’t think so. Missa always has struggled with feeling like he isn’t enough. And in this case, his families lives could be in danger so he runs away, because it’s his fault and he isn’t enough to protect them.
I will say. Things have changed. Because this time around he warned Phil. These two have had SOOO many instances of miscommunication and not talking to one another and we finally have a moment in which Phil is hearing directly from Missa. Not some other character, not his kids, Missa.
And the last thing Missa said when he went to bed. He wasn’t sleeping on a bed, because the only bed he will ever sleep on is the one in his home. LIKE FUCK. Yes he ran, yes he left to protect his family. But that’s his home. That’s where he will ALWAYS return to for comfort and safety. It isn’t a forever. It’s just for now.
For the first time, Missa is certain he will always have a home to return to.
#sorry if this makes no sense#I love Missa cubito so much#I just had to spit this out#qsmp#marv rants#death family#qsmp missa#qsmp philza#deathduo

// Opinion on the Carol/Valkyrie scene in the Marvels?
// Specifically how they did not break physical contact in the slightest?
I LOVE THEM!!! I’ve been a valcarol shipper since Brie and Tessa did that panel at ace comic-con and I’ve been WAITING for them to appear on screen together ever since
As much as I love their scene together I would LOVE to know more about their relationship and how they met (I like to think they met sometime after endgame when they saw each other in the battle) but I ADORE that scene!
The way that the first person Carol calls after she goes through that is Val, she knows she can depend on her when she needs and I think that they would even bond over similar trauma (their gfs dying)
The way she runs into Val’s arms and Val just knows she just knows this is what Carol needs, she grounds her with the physical touch
(the hug, hand holding, the touching her arm)
And of course Val reassures her and calms her down, and she just KNOWS she knows Carol isn’t okay in that moment and I just think that the way she speaks to her is so sweet (“Marv”🥹)
AND THE CHEEK KISS???? That was so gay dude they are in love and you can’t tell me otherwise, that is probably the closest we’ll get to sapphic rep in the mcu
But I just love them and yes some ppl say it doesn’t make sense but I think they compliment each other really well and Brie and Tessa have so much chemistry and I could just talk about them FOREVER😭🫶
Ps. Thank you for asking me this so I get an excuse to rant about my hyperfixation

I don’t understand the people who constantly complain about and criticize Helluva Boss. Like I understand the writing isn’t perfect but you aren’t going to change the fact that there’s people who enjoy the show? So why not just stop wasting your time and stop bumming the rest of us out 🙄
#// if you want the writers of the show to change things then talk to them yourself#// but stop ruining the fun for the rest of us#shut up marv#rant

Just wondering, how much groaning and eye rolling would there be with the werewolf boys when the alpha/beta/sigma male idea starts to become popular? How would it even look like in this universe? I’m seeing Sean shaking his head disappointedly in his hands and Anti groaning so loud and Marv’s eyes getting tired from the amount he’s rolling them and Jamie sighing before trying to sink into the couch from the suffering of having to listening to an alpha male influencer during class or something lmao
hey Leo!! I have been away for a few days but I love this question
Wolf Bite has an alpha concept but not defined concepts of betas, sigmas, omegas, etc partly because they're human enough to not need to divide like that, but also because some of that stuff about real wolf packs is not accurate anyway. which I think totally contributes to their annoyance when ideas like that start to get popular! they would be totally annoyed. Jackie probably doesn't have much of a reaction to some macho guy at the gym who thinks he can mess with him, because if people are wrong then people are wrong, can't change their minds. but the others think it's cringe lol. they would definitely all be groaning and rolling their eyes.
and Anti likes it when 'alpha males' get in his face so he can trash them.
it can have some dangerous consequences however, especially in this universe, because some humans do perceive Alpha wolves to be very dangerous. that can lead to real Alphas and real packs being treated poorly. if 'alpha males' try to use the term to mean misogynistic, domineering, and arrogant, it could be a problem for actual Alphas who are just trying to be good leaders, and who can be any gender. plus young or new wolves could get the wrong idea about what to do as an Alpha or about how their Alpha should treat them!
that kind of talk about Alpha wolves does make some of them kind of nervous, even if they know Jackie wouldn't ever be aggressive with them. every now and then Anti will flip his shit on Jackie and Jackie has to just not react, because Anti's still got Alpha issues leftover from Iris. he doesn't do it consciously, but he tests Jackie to see if he'll ever hurt him if Anti goads him. JJ watches this closely - he's still forming his idea of what an Alpha is. and Chase has some masculinity issues and needs to be reassured sometimes that Jackie isn't trying to be the man of the house, just a leader who respects him
but don't get Sean and Marvin started on this topic!! they will RANT

companion to my previous rant. in almost an inverse of what i was talking about with the fantastic four i will now talk about the black cat aka felicia hardy. shes a cat burglar in a black catsuit with a cat alias and she has an on again off again relationship with our hero. sound familiar? according to marv wolfman, black cat is not a catwoman ripoff on the basis that she has luck powers and he had originally written the concept for spider-woman. i believe him when he says he had the idea originally for spider-woman, because spider-woman has a lot of like mystical magical shit going on and a character called "black cat" who gives you bad luck would fit right in. however i cannot agree that this means shes not a catwoman ripoff. pretty much every aspect of her character aside from her powers is just catwoman. i dont care if wolfman started with the powers and the rest came later. at a certain point you have to take a step back, look at your work, and say "well shit. thats just catwoman. i just made a new catwoman. oopsie" and then do something else. like idk, lots of comic book villains are basically, if not explicitly, mobsters. have a mob boss who runs the casinos down in atlantic city. call her "snake eyes" or something.
