Can you write Jericho crew with a human s/o who honestly doesn’t act like one. Her reactions are kind of late, almost delayed. She doesn’t blink for a long period of time, nobody has ever seen her eat or drink before, and oddly enough, if you stare long enough, you can convince yourself she doesn’t even breathe, she could pass as an android if she wanted to!!

(She is indeed human, and she eats- quite frequently! she’s just a lil strange LMAO)

-It wasnt until your one year anniversary that he realized you were human

What are your favourite Markus headcanons?

Markus is absolutely the type to take off the jacket or coat he is wearing to give to someone who needs it more - android or human alike. Markus runs a little hotter than most so he doesn't think twice about it. He's lost many coats this way XD

He doesn't like using guns. Like, he absolutely can and will if he has to defend his friends, his people, or himself but if he sees a way to not use a gun, he won't.

Markus sometimes just disappears. He never goes far or for long but he needs solitude to gather his thoughts at times. His closest friends always know where to find him (usually somewhere high up and, if possible, sunny!) but they understand that sometimes he's just needs space and time to think (and brood).

Over time, Markus has all of his scavanged biocomponents replaced as they fail, the one exception is his blue eye, which has minor issues but nothing he'd consider replacing it for. It's a physical reminder of what he went through and what he survived.

He beat boxes. The first time he does it Jericrew has no idea how to react.

Markus has a very specific type of haphephobia (fear of being touched). He doesn't hate being touched in general, one on one and in a friendly setting he enjoys touch and is actually very physically affectionate, but if a crowd of people start grabbing at him all at once it will freak him out. He doesn't lash out but he shuts down emotionally until he's away from the situation.

He loves graffiti art. Inspired by his journey to Jericho, it quickly becomes one of his favourite art forms. He has done a bunch in places humans can't reach. North joins him a lot on these ventures

Markus was initially built as a spy bot for Cyberlife, but the project was scrapped before it came to fruition. Kamski didn't want Markus to be destroyed when he left CL, so he kept Markus in his mansion until Carl had his accident. Markus doesn't remember this time at Kamski's mansion, as he was reset and reprogrammed before being sent to Carl.

After the revolution, Markus reprograms his hair so it a bit longer than the buzzcut. Curly haired Markus ftw

He has a weakness for brown eyes. This is basically canon though.

He loves Daft Punk

He can flawlessly play Rush E (thanks @tartrazeen for this one). He played it once for a few people, and someone (probably Josh) recorded it and released it to the public. It goes viral.

DBH Headcanons: Getting Your Wisdom Teeth Removed

Connor, RK900, Markus, Simon, and Gavin x gn!reader

Some headcanons about what it would be like to be taken care of by some of the characters of Detroit: Become Human while recovering from getting your wisdom teeth removed. Inspired by, well, getting my wisdom teeth removed.

[A/N]: I got my wisdom teeth out a while back and it honestly wasn't as bad as I'd heard from other people. My mouth tasted funny for a while, though.

Connor:

Chances are, you’ve already briefed him on your wisdom teeth procedure and everything that happens before and after

By the time the actual surgery rolls around, he’s downloaded every bit of information about pre-op and post-op

And he’s not going to hesitate to bother you remind you about everything

“Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes and clothing.” “Y/N, you can’t have any food or water 8 hours before the surgery.” “Y/N, please refrain from strenuous exercise in the 24 hours before your surgery.”

When you come out of surgery loopy on anesthesia, he sits with you in recovery and tries to talk you through it (even though you don’t remember a lick of what either of you said)

I’d say he’s a mother hen post-op, but more like a worrywart type

He’d buy all kinds of liquid foods for you and is constantly asking about your pain levels

Gets a lot of weird looks in the supermarket while he’s checking out the soup aisle

“That’s not a domestic android I’ve ever seen…”

He’s definitely on top of your antibiotics schedule, and if you need it, pain meds

Makes sure you’re regularly irrigating the wounds if you need it 

If you’re ever worried or insecure about swelling and discomfort post-op, Connor is there to smother you in kisses

Nines:

As a deviant, he isn’t as much of a mother hen as Connor, probably because he’s more self-assured in his ability to take care of you as well as your ability to take care of yourself when you can

He wouldn’t hover as much as Connor but he’d definitely download information about the procedure before you go

Coming out of the operation, you knock out again for a bit in recovery and Nines insists on staying with you, covering you with his jacket and letting you rest your head on his shoulder

If Connor got weird looks while in the supermarket buying things for you and picking up your prescriptions, Nines sticks out like a sore thumb

Like he’s clearly not a domestic/service android so he confuses a lot of shoppers and employees as he browses the aisles and fills his basket with cans of soup, oats, and ice cream

“Why on earth is a police investigator android buying soup on a Friday morning?”

If you’re in pain, he’ll do everything to comfort you

Pain meds, ice cream, cuddles, your comfort movies and shows, anything for you

He doesn’t seem outwardly clingy or affectionate but he’s such a softy

Markus:

This obviously isn’t his first rodeo

If you’re scared going into the surgery, he’s with you all the way until the nurses put you to sleep

Cruises through post-op no matter what state you’re in due to the sedative

At home, he’s got you covered

No need to break out the cans of mush—he’s got you covered with homemade soups, the softest scrambled eggs you’ve ever had, soft pasta dishes, you name it

With Markus, you’ll never miss a dose of antibiotics

If you’re in pain, worry not

Markus has your pain meds, blankets, and infinite cuddles

He’ll have your favorite flavors of ice cream on hand

Straight out of the tub if you feel so inclined

Simon:

He might not be a caregiver like Markus but he was once a domestic and childcare android

Calms your nerves going into the operation and when you’re all woozy post-op he’s right by your side

Coming out of the operation, it doesn’t matter if you look like if Alvin the Chipmunk got into a fistfight and lost—Simon’s there to shower you in kisses and envelop you in hugs

Like Markus, you’ll never have to worry about the liquid and soft food diet

If the pain’s too much, Simon will be your arms and legs for the time being

He’s a wizard with chores and errands

It’s like you never even got your wisdom teeth out

Gavin:

Would totally take off work to help you recover

Which, given how competitive he is at work, would probably seem like an anomaly to his coworkers

“I’ve never seen Reed take off for more than a day or two at a time. Shit, he’d come into work sick so long as he wasn’t actively dying,” Says Tina

“I’ve had to wrangle that fucker into his car more times than I can count to prevent him from coming into work injured,” Grumbles Fowler

“Hopefully he’ll take this time to rest as well as take care of someone else.”

Would record the stuff you say coming out of sedative in post-op for the memories (and for you both to laugh at when you recover)

I don’t see him being as great of a cook as Markus or Simon, but he’s definitely able to cook to support himself and you

Of course, he’d get you all the ice cream you want

He knows what it feels like to be in pain and cranky so he does everything he can to either comfort you or give you space to get through it

If you wanted it, he’d cuddle with you while you spend the day reading or watching your comfort shows and sipping on smoothies (no straws allowed, of course)

"Why did you leave Connor behind to die?" Nines questioned. His eyes narrowed with barely disguised anger. Voice low to avoid disturbing Connor who was in emergency stasis in the other room.

"We didn't leave him behind. He chose to stay behind so we could escape," Markus retorted. "Look, Nines, I don't know what preconceptions you have of me, but I want to make one thing abundantly clear. I care about Connor, too."

"You left him to face dozen of armed guards alone."

"I didn't ask Connor to stay behind. Connor asked me to trust him to take care of it. So I did. I trust Connor's judgement. He's done the impossible on multiple occasions every since the day he deviated those androids at Cyberlife Tower. So if he insists, I will trust his decision. I wouldn't have left him alone otherwise."

Nines stilled as he processed what Markus was saying. He had assumed that Markus had placed more value in his life over Connor's. But it seems that wasn't the case. His and Markus' perception of Connor just differed.

To Markus and the other Jericho leaders, Connor was Cyberlife's (formerly) newest and most advanced android. He was the unkillable deviant hunter. The deviant that always accomplished his mission. They didn't see Connor the way Nines did.

Connor was all of those things: capable and efficient. But he was also reckless to a fault. Willing to sacrifice himself over and over for the sake of the mission. Overly confident in his abilities. Always assuming he can beat the statistical odds and succeed even if there is a 99% chance of failure.

The problem wasn't that they didn't care about Connor. The problem was they trusted him too much.

sorry just had to get this lil brain worm out of my head. i have rk1700 on the mind and thinking about nines just being overly protective of connor. i headcanon that the jericrew's perception of connor is that he's ultra capable so he doesn't need protecting. i mean he literally infiltrated cyberlife alone and succeeded. ofc they assume if he says he can do something that he'll do it. meanwhile, nines knows connor's limitations and his recklessness. nines considers the rk800 line much more fragile when compared to the rk900 so he takes it upon himself to protect connor himself since the jericrew thinks he doesn't needs it and connor sure as hell isn't gonna ask for it. anyway, hope you liked my rambling.

Random headcanon:

Markus only ever draws or paints when pushed to by Carl. After leaving the mansion, he never does. But you know what he does?

When he's stressed out and his back is against the wall?

He plays piano. He sings when they're about to lose in a peaceful revolution.

Ergo: artist Markus, sure. He can do that if other people want him to.

Musician Markus? Absolutely.

Music is his thing. He loves to play piano, to sing, and he picks up and learns other instruments whenever he gets a free moment. Violin? Cello? Guitar? He's in. (And just to slip a little RK1K in there, because I am very RK1K-pilled, Connor absolutely melts the first time he ever hears Markus play, and is utterly obsessed with getting him to play any chance he gets)!

Some android models definitely have infrared cameras, which makes them see for example when infrared sensors are at work as well as also see through some materials that infrared light can penetrate, like plastic. I don't think it's something all androids have despite it being a fairly cheap feature, like I don't think household androids like Kara do, but it can be handy for some specialised workers models, such as the ones Markus converts during the Capitol Park chapter in order to get access to what they're fixing to disable security.

Let me speculate and headcanon here that Luther, as a specialised worker of unknown original purpose, belongs to those models too and has infrared vision. Which means, he can instantly see the difference in how androids look as opposed to humans. Which would explain how He was able to instantly see that Alice is an android whereas as Kara couldn't do the same and saw her exactly as she'd have seen a human.

I think this headcanon works really nicely.

I just got finished with a spy x family episode and this came up! What about DBH boys (Connor, Simon, Markus) With a female reader who is just like Yor Forger!

She’s very sweet looking, and nobody would suspect she packs quite a mean punch when protecting someone or herself, and unusually strong!

Hey anon! So sorry about the wait on this. I'll be honest part of it is due to me not knowing anything about spy x family, so I will just be going off the little description you've given in this ask! And it certainly won't stop me from trying.

Each Connor, Simon, and Markus would initially find the reader quite unassuming. To say they underestimate her is not exactly accurate, but they certainly don't expect the strength and punch she packs.

Connor witnessed it during a case. He's in the process of analyzing some evidence at a crime scene when he hears a disturbance. It was an argument, from what he could tell, between you and someone else trying to tamper with the crime scene or simply initiating some aggression because, like Connor, they misjudge exactly how strong you could be. At the sound of raised voices - yours being one of them - Connor is quick to make his way over to the disturbance, intending to intervene if necessary. Though, it quickly becomes apparent that it isn't necessary.

You've knocked the aggressor clean on their ass. One punch to the face was enough to send them falling backwards right on their ass. You probably even broke their nose. Connor, he's... well, to be honest, he's a little surprised. You aren't often in situations such as this one. And while you do work for the DPD, it's not often he sees you demonstrate exactly why you were hired in the first place.

Even though you punched someone to the point of a concussion, Connor can't help but still make sure you're okay. Physically, mentally, whatever, he wants to make sure the encounter didn't shake you up too bad. Even if you've assured you're fine and that he doesn't need to check you over, he's still doing a scan, just to be sure.

This is something he certainly does not forget about you. And while he still worries, given the fact that your appearance is deceiving compared to your actual ability, he's a little more at ease to know that you can hold your own when you need to. He's aware that people will go for those who seem weaker, and while he knows you aren't weak, at a glance, people are quick to think otherwise about you.

Simon, while not a coward, does prefer to take the pacifist route at any given opportunity. You're someone who's the same, unless you have absolutely no choice. And that was the case here. You were with Simon, just the two of you. You had excused yourself to the bathroom, and on your way back, you see that someone had approached Simon, and you noticed that Simon was less than comfortable about the interaction. It wasn't until you were a few steps away that you could hear exactly what was going on.

It was some anti-android guy going off - he must have recognized Simon someone. Which, come on, he's not the only PL600 to exist. Whatever, it didn't matter. What mattered was this guy was going off on Simon, and while Simon was trying to defuse the situation, he wasn't getting anywhere successful. Simon was trying to talk the other down, but the guy seemed pissed, which started to piss you off. It didn't help that the guy suddenly grabbed Simon - that's when you knew you had to step in.

"Hey!" Was all you said, which seemed to startle the guy long enough for you to grab his shoulder, turning him so you could swiftly punch him in the gut. He quickly doubled over, falingl to the ground, and Simon stumbled back, staring at the scene in shock. His mouth was agape as he looked between you and the guy, now groaning on the ground. There was even a slight tint of blue on Simon's face at the sight, which you may have noticed if you weren't still upset with the interaction.

"Whoa... I didn't know you had that in you..." Simon said, nearly stepping towards the guy to help him. But he stopped himself, mainly because you held your hand out to stop him.

"There's a lot you don't know about me," you responded, looking over to him and managing a smile. Despite the circumstances, it was cute to see the way Simon reacted to this.

"What, so we just... leave him?"

"Well, he was a prick, soo..."

Markus was often used to being the protector. And with you, it was a no brainer that you were someone he felt drawn to protect. And it was cute, and you never had a problem with it. But sometimes even the protector needs a little helping hand. Especially when you've got no problem fighting your own battles.

Being the leader of the android revolution meant that Markus got a lot of attention. And being a close friend of the leader of the android revolution meant you got a lot of attention as well. Both good and bad. This was an instance of the bad. Some name calling, some yelling, asking how you could ever support something like this when all the androids do is take and take and blah blah blah.

Really, you weren't listening. You had grown used to it at this point, it was something you could easily tune out.

Though, it was clear that the people nagging you were not a fan of being ignored. Markus was only a little ways ahead of you, but it was still enough of a distance that he couldn't stop the way they grabbed you to look at them. A small struggle ensued, which caught Markus' attention. He was quick to rush over to you, pulling off one of the two attacking you, but it seemed you had the rest of it under control.

A quick knee between the legs was enough to throw them off their balance, then an elbow to the chest knocked the wind out of them long enough for you to get away. As you escaped their grasp, you kept yourself ready, knees bent, arms up, ready for anything more they had to throw your way. Of course, the kerfuffle was enough to get the attention from onlookers, and the attackers found it best to avoid further humiliation.

With them submitting to defeat, Markus looked to you, first making sure you were okay. Once that was settled, he found himself looking at you with an impressed smile. "Maybe you should be the one protecting me," he joked.

"Maybe," You said, relaxing now that you weren't in danger anymore. "At least I'd know you'd be safer."

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing."

Some "after the revolution" dbh headcanons

Hey yall! it's me and it has been like million years since I have written anything on here, but yea here I am! I will start writing headcanons and stuff like that again to keep my english at least decent, since im not at school atm. Anyways enough yapping, hope that u will enjoy! <3

Markus:

After the revolution he became very known (obviously) and people either really like him or really don't, so he has to be aware his surroundings. For example once a guy tried to drive over him on purpose with a car when he was crossing the road. He understands that people still have some issues with androids, but the fact that there are still people that want to hurt androids... it just makes him very sad and angry.

Because of that incident for example Markus preferes indoors. He can paint etc. and that makes him happy. He also hangs out with his Jericho friends and Connor and Kara. Thats enough for him.

But on the other side he has had good interactions and stuff like that with humans. Once a human lady came up to him and thanked him for starting the revolution. Markus asked her cuoriously asked her why she was so thankful the lady said that she had a little android boy. She loved him more than anything and she and her android son were so so scared once humans started to destroy androids but because of his peacful mindsett, they can still be together.

That interraction makes him feel warm and happy.

Connor:

After the revolution Connor became more aware of his feelings.

He had a lot to learn. For instance anxiety, Connor hates anxiety. He became very anxious about his current life after the revolution. Yes he still investigates android cases with Hank, but he has so much more free time etc.

Like he can do anything, but its hard to decide what. He can coock for Hank, he can clean his place, go for a walk with Sumo.. but what does he actually want to do?

He is afraid of the future too. Hank will die, Sumo will die.. whats the purpose of anything after that?

Once he gets these kind of thoughts Hank notices them imedieatly. He is not good with these kind of things but he still manages to get Connor more relaxed.

Hank knows that when he is dead Connor will be absolutely broken. He does these future plan things with Connor when he is not anxious. Connor has thought that he could stay with Kara, Luther and Alice or he could move with Markus and the gang. It's not the end of the world.

But still, he will miss Hank so so much.

Kara:

After the revolution Kara has more time for herself, so she picked a new hobby for herself: knitting

She just knits and knits. Sweaters? Kara can do it! socks? Yes! Scarfs? Wait a sec!

Alice has so many sweaters that Kara has made for her. Like she has a sweater in every color.

Alice loves them and wears them with pride!

Kara does sweaters, socks etc. to Luther as well! She just has to have a lot of yarn when she knits something form him, because of his size.

Like Alice, Luther is so thankful of every piece of clothing that kara makes.

Kara knits socks to little human children and gives them for free to those in need

Alice and Luther often remind Kara to do also something for herself, but she is bad at remembering herself.

She is just glad to do something that makes herself and others happy

Connor really, really hates it when Hank makes self-depricating jokes or says that no one would miss him if he was gone because Hank helped him through so many hardships and hearing him say all of these things make him both sad and angry, yet he doesn't know what to do about it since he wasn't programmed to deal with a situation like this one

Once they're in Canada, Alice enrolls into a primary school but struggles to make friends at first. Luther supports her and tries to give her advice, her past with Todd has made her very vulnerable which is why she often acts shy and doesn't display a lot of confidence

Markus pays regular visits to Carl and shows him his paintings. Carl is always very proud of him and appreciates his visits a lot, though he tries to hide that he is gradually getting sicker so that Markus doesn't worry about him too much

Connor loves cooking and baking because recipes give him direct instructions of what he needs to do while also being able to change things up and give the meals a bit of personal flavor (but he struggles to know whether or not something tastes good since he doesn't have any sense of taste, so he often consults Hank and ask him to taste-test)

Hank is incredibly stubborn about not wanting a therapist even though he desperately needs one
