The police has requested that Marius Borg Høiby stay in custody for two weeks, on the basis of the risk of tampering with evidence, as they have uncovered another rape last night and this morning.

It is understood by NRK that the police found videos of the assaults on his phone.

30min before Marius Borg Høiby was arrested in August, the police notified Høiby about that. According to VG's, Crown Princess Mette-Marit called Høiby shortly before his conversation with the police. She told him that the police is going to arrest him.

"VG is informed that during these 33 minutes Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who lives next door, cleaned his house. Later, she is said to have driven him down to Jansløkka school, where the police was waiting for him."

She is the Crown Princess of a country, which was supposed to be a model throughout Europe. This sounds like something that would happen in my very corrupted country and it does happen. It's a fact that rich and privileged people don't get arrested immediately here when there is an investigation against them but there is never evidence that a politician have warned them.

Son of Norway’s Crown Princess arrested for assaulting girlfriend

Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit from a previous relationship, could face up to a year in prison as he was charged with bodily harm and criminal damage, according to The Independent.

A 27-year-old man spent 30 hours in police custody after a woman claimed he physically assaulted her in an Oslo flat.

Norwegian authorities stated that the Crown Prince’s stepson was arrested “calmly” after agreeing to meet with police at his half-sibling’s former school in Asker last Sunday afternoon. Local reports claimed that officers who attended found the flat “partially destroyed,” with authorities saying the charges had been expanded to include “damage to the apartment.”

Høiby has a relationship with the woman who was subjected to the physical abuse. The police do not have information that the woman has suffered serious injuries, but it will be part of the investigation to map out the extent of the victim’s injuries.

Police added that they continued to question Høiby and planned to conduct follow-up interviews with the victim. Høiby was officially recognised as a member of the royal family when his mother had married Crown Prince Haakonbut. However, Høiby has no official role.

He formally retired from royal duties at the age of 20 and now works as a motorbike mechanic, but continues to hit the headlines due to his controversial lifestyle.

The news of his arrest delayed his mother’s trip to Paris to watch Norwegian athletes compete in the Olympic Games. Mette-Marit was supposed to come to the French capital with her husband, Crown Prince Haakon, but instead stayed with her eldest son.

The scandal erupted as Høiby’s mother and stepfather prepared to take over as his father, 87-year-old King Harald V, suffered health issues. In April, officials said the king would make a “permanent reduction” in the number of his public appearances.

Police confirm: Charged with bodily harm

Mette-Marit's son was arrested by the police and thrown into solitary confinement after a serious incident of violence. A woman was hospitalized.

Marius Borg Høiby (27) is said to have been arrested by the police on the night of Sunday.

The reason is an incident in an apartment on Frogner in Oslo, where a woman in her 20s was present.

What happened in the apartment between the two is a bit unclear. But according to what Se og Hør learns, Mette-Marit's eldest son is said to have attacked her psychologically and physically.

The woman eventually managed to get Borg Høiby out of her apartment and called the police. The police secured technical evidence and conducted a brief interrogation of the woman.

The woman was then admitted to the hospital for investigation. She was discharged early Monday morning after being diagnosed with a concussion.

Borg Høiby was arrested at another address sometime after the incident. He was then taken to the Oslo police station, where, according to Se og Hør, he was put in solitary confinement. According to what Se og Hør learned, he was released on Monday afternoon after more than 30 hours in police custody.

As a matter of routine, a blood test was taken from Borg Høiby to find out if he was under the influence of [drugs or alcohol].

The incident is not listed in Oslo police logs.

The police confirmed to Se og Hør that they went to an address in Frogner on Sunday morning following a report of a violent incident that must have happened during the night.
