How the heck are people blaming Marinette for this one?
The dude was actively causing serious harm to both Marinette, and her family and Adrian. This dude needed to be exposed for what he did.
Also, the dude was actively targeting minor’s to be smeared and harassed. What Vincent was doing wasn’t just immoral. It was downright illegal.
For God sakes people graffiti the place because of Vincent. Frankly, I hope that they sue him for this.
MARINETTE DID NOTHING WRONG!
There’s also the fact that he’s being sponsored by Tomoe, who as we all know, she absolutely hates Marinette… coincidence? I think not. He also is a huge fan of Chloe, who has become an influencer and hates Marinette…
Coincidence? I think not.
People are blaming Marinette in this episode ??!! Oh screw those Marinette's haters !! They wouldn't be able to live one day in her shoes and do half the things she does because they would be overwhelmed by everything the poor girl already has to deal with.

I'm a Marinette stan too then TvT
If being a "Marinette stan" means I can understand that Gabriel Agreste is the reason Marinette is lying to Adrien in the first place and that she would never have done that if Gabriel had not manipulated her and that Nathalie should be the one telling Adrien the truth and not the 15 year old child and that Marinette's lies are hurting Adrien and that is awful and a tragedy and OBVIOUSLY she shouldn't have lied but that Marinette is also a victim of Gabriel and that Marinette is doing everything she does out of her deep love for Adrien and not to intentionally hurt him and that Marinette is 15 and acting 15 and that sometimes main characters have to do bad things and make mistakes to have a story and that those mistakes don't make Marinette a bad person but a good person in a very very very bad position.........
Then I guess I'm a dirty filthy Marinette stan.

Why is it that when Marinette makes no mistakes and does everything right, she's a Mary Sue
But when Marinette does make mistakes and acts like the teenager that she is, she's an evil unredeemable character?

u could never make me hate marinette dupain chang bc i too have adhd and am extremely confusing which causes misunderstandings that can definitely piss off or devastate people sometimes but at least i don’t have to find out that happened via them becoming a supervillain for 15 minutes that i then HAVE to personally go and resolve. and if any other adhd fucker out there pisses someone off bc they were neurodivergently confusing and accidentally an asshole it’s HER mess to clean up too. like she can’t just have adhd on her own she has to be in charge of group adhd!!! and all other neurodivergence and mental health lapses of course but man imagine suffering the consequences of everyone’s adhd and not just your own. id go crazy and cause problems everyday out of spite

I think that we must realize that Maribug is self-sacrificing in the same extend than AdriChat, just not in the same way - AdriChat self-sacrifices to act as a shield to Ladybug in the Akuma fights, while Maribug self-sacrifices to act as Atlas to carry (what she learnt to think of) her burdens to protect the happiness of the people around her....

A Reddit fan put an end to the "Marinette nerver faces consequences" Bullcrap
If there's anything Marinette has been facing since the end of season 3, its consequence.
Not only is Marinette now even more traumatized and emotionally damaged than she already was since Chat Blanc by the end of season 5, but she also put herself in a situation where deep down she'll know she'll face consequences for her lies in the Special London one day.
And InkStyx carefully pointed out everytme Marinette had to face consequences for her mistakes, and how she sometimes even suffer "consequences" that she does not deserves to face
The comment section is also a pleasure to read, especially with the post's author answering to a fan who that the biggest consequence Marinette has yet to face for her actions is having Lila as her new nemesis. InkStyx's answer was to mention the revelation in the episode of Ladybug during a flashback that Lila likelly had it out for Mari as early as Befana because she could tell that Adrien was fond of her after observing them from afar during Marinette's birthday party. It was hard to miss Lila's glare wich was full of hatred and hostility during that flashback at the sight of Marinette and Adrien interracting with each other
And the thing that caused Lila to declare war on Marinette at the end of Chameleon before Marinette even gave her an answer to her threat was the further confirmation that Adrian would rather seat with Mari in class than with Lila.

Fucking Nightmare !!
In the end Gabriel half won because of his prior actions as Nightormentor !!
And I thus realize how uneven and disadvantaged Marinette was in her fights against her ennemies since the beginning.
Even if Marinette was armed with the two most powerful miraculous and without time limit, Gabriel still had 15 miraculous on his side and Tomoe keeping running their ultimate plans in the shadow. And unlike his opponent Gabriel was not handicapped by the nightmares spread by Nightormentor.
Plus Marinette was alone against him, no one to back her up or convince her that Gabriel didn't deserve her clemency. Even Bunnix didn't step in to help her, she just brought Luka, Jagged, Penny, Su-han, and Fang back to Paris to help the Resistance, while Marinette had to fight on her own.
Once again this show just proved that their favorite pastime was tormenting Marinette, and having her trust and kindness abused and flouted so many times.
I will be very surprise if Marinette doesn't developp trust issues in the next season after being let down and betrayed so many times
The nightmare! I forgot about the nightmare!
The reason Marinette tried to spare Gabriel at the end was because she just had a nightmare about what would happen if she killed him!

I think the fan reaction to "Werepapas", specifically that scene with the broken rings, proves that Adrien's fans don't actually see him as a person, just an object or Marinette's accessory.
I don't like Adrien at all. I've made that very clear. But when I saw that scene, I was still overcome with sympathy for him. I found it so utterly disgusting that his romantic partner was willing to kill him to defeat an enemy. She didn't call for backup, she didn't try every other option first, and she wasn't even sure she could bring him back (see "Ladybug"), but she gambled with his life anyway. This scene made me feel so bad for Adrien that I temporarily forgot how much I dislike him, and I just wanted to see him get as far away from Marinette as possible.
Yet it seems like all the actual fans of the show, even of Adrien specifically, didn't feel that same way. They didn't think there was anything wrong with what Ladybug did. And maybe this is because some of them blindly accept whatever the show feeds them, and since the show doesn't portray what she did as wrong, they don't see it as wrong. But I also think the fact that they weren't disgusted on Adrien's behalf proves that they simply don't care about Adrien as a person, just as an accessory to Marinette.

Adrien - everyday written on your arm is a specific event ur soulmate will face that day (ex promotion, death of family, new pet, meeting soulmate etc)
Unlike most people, Adrien quite liked his soul tie.
He had gotten his first, incredibly blurred glimpse of his soulmate when he was about six years old.
To his six-year-old eyes, she was an angel. He didn’t even register the fact that she was bungee jumping at such a young age. He was simply in shock that he could see her at all.
He remembered running to tell his mother and father the news. His mom had picked him up and gently placed him in her lap—he was quite short for a six-year-old.
“Mom! I was tryna fall asleep and then I opened my eyes and I saw this girl and she was falling in the air but then she suddenly got pulled up and everything was covered in clouds and she looked really pretty and I don’t know if I’m ever gonna see her again and—”
He rambled on and on and on, much to the amusement of his parents.
Adrien quickly learned that his soulmark allowed him to see incredibly significant events his soulmate would go through each month. Bungee jumping at the age of six must’ve been the craziest thing she did that month.
He’d always get excited to go to sleep, wondering if that night would bring his monthly glimpse of the girl of his dreams.
Every experience, every scene, would be shared with his parents the next morning—or sooner, if he was too excited to wait. Sometimes he’d sneak into their room and whisper about the things he saw. He saw when she lost her first pet, when she moved schools, when she got into an accident.
He yearned to comfort her. To be there for her wins and her heartbreaks.
And then his mother disappeared.
After that, he waited for those soulmark moments even more. He longed for the few precious hours when he could escape the haunting silence of his father's mansion.
He was nineteen now. He had moved out of his father’s house the day he turned seventeen—after finding out his father was Hawkmoth. It was all too much.
Thankfully, he had enough money to buy a small apartment on the opposite side of Paris.
Ding-dong.
That must’ve been the pizza he ordered.
Adrien got up from bed, stretching his arms as he padded toward the door. His living room was unusually clean. He narrowed his eyes, suspicious.
He opened the door, paid for the food, and turned back inside, eating a slice straight out of the box.
That’s when he noticed Felix, sleeping soundly on the couch. Plagg was curled into the boy’s hair, the kwami choosing to stay with his holder after the whole miraculous ordeal.
“That explains why this place is so clean,” Adrien mumbled with a fond smile. He placed the pizza box on the kitchen table, then made his way into the guest room. Grabbing a blanket, he hurried back and gently covered his cousin.
Felix looked peaceful. Calm. Adrien hadn’t seen him like that in months.
Maybe it was because he found his soulmate.
There was something about it—finding the other half of your soul. Adrien had noticed it in Felix and Marinette… even Kagami, when she talked about hers. That kind of quiet joy.
Fortunately, Adrien didn’t mind the wait. The glimpses he got were more than enough for now. They’d started coming at random times, not just during sleep. A few months ago, at one of Luka’s concerts, Adrien had been relaxing backstage when he was suddenly blinded by a warm light.
He’d expected something dramatic: mountain climbing, cliff diving, maybe a rooftop party.
Instead, he saw her sitting on a park bench, feeding a group of ducklings.
The scene was short. Sweet. Gentle.
And when he blinked, he was back.
Shaking the memory off, Adrien changed into a simple outfit—a white tee and sweatpants—before heading out to work. It was a bright, sunny day.
“Good to see you, dude.”
Adrien looked up at the familiar voice and smiled, waving. It was Marinette’s soulmate, now boyfriend, and his favorite co-worker.
Since it was a slow day, Adrien was working the register. He passed the time by watching people and thinking about what kind of crazy thing his soulmate might be doing next.
Then the light hit him again.
He blinked. Warmth washed over him.
This time, she was sitting in the center of a group of people, smiling as they lit the candles on a beautifully decorated cake. It was soft and glowing, and the room felt full of love.
He looked around. The place felt familiar.
A little too familiar.
His eyes darted to the window—dark outside.
Then to the calendar on the wall—July 31st.
Today.
Her birthday.
His soulmate was going to be in his cafe tonight, blowing out candles on her birthday cake.
The light faded, and Adrien’s breathing sped up. He stumbled out from behind the counter, asking someone to cover him before slipping into the break room.
“What do I do?” he whispered to himself, gripping the sink.
The vision had been here. Sure, the layout was a little different—like always—but it was unmistakable. That was their shop.
“If she’s gonna be here later…” He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Guess I’m working overtime today.”
“Hi Adrien,” Marinette’s chirpy voice rang through the cafe. It was late now, the sky deep and dark. The two boys were finishing up their closing routine.
“Hey,” he sighed, untying his apron.
She tilted her head, brows furrowed. “You okay? You look kinda… stressed.”
“I was just hoping I’d see someone today,” he said quietly.
She didn’t fully understand, but gave him a soft, comforting smile anyway.
“Nettie!” her soulmate called, poking his head in.
With a quick wave, Marinette was gone.
Adrien sighed again. The cafe was empty now. No celebration. No girl. No candles.
He didn’t feel like calling a taxi, and Felix was probably at his girlfriend’s place, so he started the long walk home.
About twenty minutes in, he passed a small shop. Warm light spilled from the windows, and people laughed inside. He was hungry, so he stepped in.
It was another cozy little cafe. Customers sat in clusters, sipping drinks. A small group was gathered in the corner.
Adrien moved toward the register, about to order—when he heard a chorus of hushed voices start singing a birthday song.
His head snapped around.
There.
There she was.
The girl from his soulmark visions. The same girl he saw fall off a cliff when he was six. The same girl who fed ducklings. The same girl whose birthday was today.
And she was looking right at him.
A/N : I will probably do a pt 2 of this (in y/n's pop) since this was mainly Adrien focused and i also wanna write a little after math ykyk

Conclusion : Marinette has ALL and EVERY reasons to be and anxious freak control mess in season 6 T^T
Seeing a lot of stuff about marinette’s character development having been nerfed and like, yeah she’s backsliding but it’s not like there’s no reason for it
A lot of her anxiety in the first five seasons came from having this huge secret and struggling with that, now she has an even bigger even worse secret. Also she blames herself for a lot of what happened and how it happened so she’s also having massive guilt issues and trust issues because tf do you mean shadowmoth was her boyfriend’s dad all along. She feels she has to fix everything on her own because she did have to do that. She’s having anxieties over not having complete and total control over the Kiwanis because last time that happened the miraculous got crushed up and put into rings and the world almost ended. She thought everything would be mostly over and then a new very similar supervillain showed up. And also also, she’s just starting high school.
So yeah, marinette is a mess and she’s more anxious and more of a control freak than ever but can you really blame her
We have this entire season for her to deal with that and like 4 more seasons for her character to develop.

I'm Sorry (not) but Adrien/CN's attitude in Hack-San is Nothing But Absolutely Justified.
"Marinette didn't have time to tell him!" Did we watch the same episode? This was a yearly trip! She knew about it beforehand, it was not a last-minute-decision trip! And I don't care that she was trying every excuse in the book, at some point she should've at least told Chat it was a possibility. And it didn't even have to be face-to-face! She very easily could've transformed into LB & sent him a message like 'hey kitty, I know this is last minute but there's been a family emergency and I have to leave Paris (or some other excuse). I'm leaving my miraculous with a trustworthy holder. We can discuss this more when I return.' and the whole problem with CN not trusting Scarabella would've been solved!!!
"Chat Noir/Adrien just needs to stop being so bitter." He had every(!) right(!) to be suspicious of Scarabella!! They'd fought a Ladybug senti before, and then Nino/Carapace was a senti in Optigami. His thought process made complete sense. And he's already being left out and not told anything by LB so him finding out she had to leave (without prior notice to him) and also finding out that she must have told someone her secret identity all at once... I'd be bitter, too. Now, I'm not saying he should've taken it out on Alya but he (mostly) let up after she convinced him she wasn't evil. Just had some attitude, which again, I think is justified. Especially because Scarabella was being a little too confident.
If anything, I'd actually say I'm proud of the way he handled the situation. As soon as he realized she wasn't a threat, he put everything behind him and was an amazing partner to her! Even reassuring her when she was doubting herself (which is one of my favorite things about Adrien btw, he's always reassuring everyone, the little sunshine boy) and trusting her plan. Then when he and LB were having their discussion he was mature and realized that she did what she had to do for Paris's best interest. I actually don't understand what he did wrong at all here.
And oh, don't even get me started on LB's hypocrisy (New York special anyone?), as well as the "I'll never abandon you, kitty cat" line. Actually, just don't get me started on s4 LB at all (post about this coming soon actually ;))
There are so many times, especially in season 4, where AdriChat has every right to be upset, and no one can convince me this time is not one of them!

Situation: Adrien is a sentimonster and the son of the worst threat Paris has ever seen.
Marinette's reason for not telling him: It'd destroy him! He'd never forgive himself if he knew, who knows how the new butterfly holder could twist guilt like that? No, better to tell him later. God, I hope I'm not making a terrible mistake!
Nathalie: I think not telling Adrien is a mistake, but I'm in no place to judge. I was Gabriel's right hand woman and was blinded by my love for him and Adrien. I'll trust Marinette for now.
Kagami: I think Adrien should know. But considering that my mother is connected to the situation in unknown ways, I haven't got the slightest idea of how to tackle this. I'll just trust Marinette for now, she's always been there for us.
Felix: Yeah, I could tell Adrien the truth, and it probably would have made my goal a lot easier in hindsight, but why should I care about him? Fuck you, got mine. It's Marinette's problem now.
Fandom: This is all Marinette's fault. Burn her!
