This painting has a little backstory.

I wanted to capture the feelings and emotions, the motions and expressions of Jimin while dancing. To me it’s one of the most beautiful things I’m able to watch. It may sound stupid to some of you, but to me he’s extremely talented and inspiring. I’m thankful, because through seeing him dance, I was able to get back my feelings for the art I’m doing.

Black Swan Backstage footage is actually what got me hooked with BTS, because I fell for the contemporary dance of Jimin. I loved the passion and expressions, the fragility and strength at once. I wanted to capture that and tried my best to do so. I hope you enjoy this artwork ❤️

As you may noticed already, I'm very into BTS atm. I used to listen to KPOP many years ago and then through the years here and there. But I got hooked up with this band through Jimin actually. I fell for his dance and passion and the vibes and feelings he gives. He seems to turn out as my current muse. I usually don't do many fanarts anymore. but yeah, here we are. I hope you like it. It was inspired by one of his solo songs "Lie" where he sings about telling yourself lies how you should be, that you're not good enough, and that one want to get out of it because we know it isn't like that, but it still stucks on the mind too often. I never felt it was my favourite kind to paint, but lately I seek for bold colours, more or different possibilities as I have with watercolours. I want to try gouache in the future, but I don’t have any until now. So I got back to acrylic paint thanks to Jimin, and I kind of fell in love with it again. I’m actually quite happy how this one turned out.
