" a laugh laced with disbelief escapes her lips, looking down at her phone with her bank account app open. hyesu was happy that she had a part-time job at her dad's shop, but it simply wasn't enough. not only did she have to pay for her everyday expenses after moving out, she also had to pay for her rent - and it was either live out on the streets or eat triangle kimbap every day for her. ' noona, why are you sad ? ' jaeho asks as he sneaks up from behind her, resting his little chin on her shoulder to peek. " mmm, nothing jaeho ssi, just adult things -- which hopefully you won't worry about when you're older. " turning her head to look at her convenience store friend, an idea pops in her head. " yah, the guy behind the counter . . is he your hyung ? " hyesu asks, smiling when he nods and brags about his older brother. " ohhhh, is that so ? can you ask him if he needs help with his job ? if so, let me know tomorrow when i come visit you again, okay ? " after setting him off on his mission, the student prepares for another sleepless night of studying, the little scribbles on the table catching her eye while packing up. " people just out here leaving their phone numbers like this ? " it seems as if her brain was working overtime, as another idea forms. quickly grabbing her purple ballpoint pen, hyesu scribbles her phone number on the table, chuckling to herself while walking out the store. after all, she might need the company that night to keep her awake.

looking after his little brother while serving customers in the store, thankfully as time went by it wasn't as busy as it was just earlier. ❛ yaaah, jaeho.. please don't touch everything.. ❜ he shouts behind the counter, his voice still soft. hearing the bell go, he welcomes the customer with a smile, only to see his little brother run towards the familiar female, causing him to close his eyes for a second, that little kid was gonna be the death of him, always being embarrassing. while he was scanning her food she was purchasing he quickly scribbles something down on the receipt and as he was holding it out and being denied again! only now giving the change. lips pressed into a thin smile momentarily; another attempt gone down the drain of trying to give out his number to the female, now crumpling the piece of paper and tossing it in the trashcan beneath the desk. once the female was gone and further away he comes to speak to himself. ❛ you got this, try it out another day again. ❜ his little brother standing, appearing out of nowhere and looking up at him. "hyung.. who are you talking to?" causing jiwon to flinch. ❛ you scared me.. stop bothering her. ❜ crouching down, his hands coming to squeeze at his little brothers cheek. ❛ aish, you have food on your face.. ❜ now trying to clean up the younger's cheeks but jaeho was soon on his way again to bother the female, again. ❛ yah! ❜
