Becoming a ☆Dream Girl☆

Who doesn’t want to be a dream girl? Put together, always smells nice, radiant, confident, cute, and content. Where does one even begin when trying to embody that dream girl energy?! Well, with a few practical changes to my life and routines, I’m starting to feel more confident in myself and in love with my appearance and my own energy. Here’s what I’m doing to become my own dream girl!

- Overnight Curls and Wave! I’m going to start wearing my hair in braids or curlers when I go to bed so I can wake up with beautiful, dreamy hair.

- Wake Up Earlier. I need to build in time to my schedule to be able to properly get ready in the morning! I usually roll out of bed, do my hair very fast, brush my teeth, put on clothes, and run out the door. If I want to start doing beauty routines and investing more time into myself, I need to wake up earlier! My ideal routine is:

• Wash face

• Brush teeth

• Sunscreen & makeup

• Hair

• Outfit & accessories

• Fragrance

• Breakfast!

- Simple Makeup. Sunscreen, blush, highlighter, mascara, and tinted lip balm or lip gloss would make me look radiant and angelic everyday!

- Work Out 30 Minutes 6 Days a Week! I have a family history of high blood pressure LOL so I think I should begin experimenting with exercise and learning how to move my body in ways that I enjoy while I’m still young :)

- Body Care / Skin Care! I’m going to buy salicylic acid body wash and a fragrance free moisturizer to prevent acne, hydrate my skin, and make my body glow.

- Pick a Signature Fragrance! I want to pick a signature scent for everyday, and possibly a scent for special events! I think I prefer picking a scent that matches each season, so I can have some variation throughout the year. Here’s the perfumes I own so far:

the sun is out so it’s only natural for me to want to glow when the sun is hitting my face and body ♡ i love to really highlight my highest points.

applying subtle gold shimmer on your eyelids

lipgloss!

preferably one that is hydrating, slightly pigmented to bring out the colors in your lips & glowy. not sticky. my recommendation is the dior lip glow stick.

highlighter

my favorite is mac’s strobe highlighter in peachlite. it honestly gives my skin such a beautiful and subtle pink glow to my face!! i love applying it before my makeup.

⤷ don’t forget your collarbones and shoulders.

there is nothing else that makes me feel like a radiating goddess walking down the street when i put highlighter on my body.

⤷ also, layering powder products on top of wet/creamy products make them more pigmented! this is why you see some people wet their eyeshadow brushes before dipping them into the product ♡

blushed & flushed or nothing!

who doesn’t love a good blushed face during the summer? just because your blush is visible doesnt mean you’re wearing too much!!!! own it!!

I have a makeup question for you! I have droopy eyelids and have a hard time with my eyeliner leaving a line across my eyelids throughout the day. I've tried a few eyelid primers and different eyeliners without much luck. Any advice? It's much appreciated! 🙂

This can be a loaded question…

What eyeliner are you wearing? Is it pencil? Most pencils are kohl and they’re meant to be smudged. Try setting the pencil with an eyeshadow. Blend it out, and make it smokier. If you don’t want to do that, some pencils are more long wearing. I love the Smudge Sticks by Stila. Also PurCosmetics has a great liner that is self sharpening that is amazing. Too bad Marc Jacobs beauty is currently not available, they will be back eventually. But their liners were amazing.

Are you using gel liner (pot and brush)? I still use that same technique, add shadow on top of that, and smudge it out.

Are you using cake liner? Back to the smudging eyeshadow 😂 can you tell what my favorite thing to do is?

Are you using liquid liner? My favorites are Rare Beauty, Physicians Formula, and Rimmel has a great one AND Amy Winehouse even used that one!

So I guess I need more context with this ask. Now, if you do have super oily skin that is a different story. Don’t moisturize the top lid before makeup. My favorite primers are Milani, MAC 24 hour eye base, MAC Paint Pot, NARS clear.

There are a few things Lila Moss has on her at all times: a multitasking lip balm, a lip liner, and a glucose device to monitor her type 1 diabetes. In true Gen Z fashion, transparency and authenticity are important to the 20-year-old model, who proudly sports the device daily—even while strutting on the Fendace and Vogue World catwalks. “It felt really amazing to [feel] like myself,” says Moss, who got her start modeling at age 14, picking up a few tricks from her supermodel mother Kate Moss. Today, the rising runway star shares her beauty routine, from soothing skin care to her go-to contouring strategy. 

“Skin care has always been an important part of my day,” explains Moss. “I have quite sensitive skin, so my routine is quite simple.” First, she relies on gentle yet effective salves by London-based dermatologist Dr. Sam Bunting and Dermalogica—supplemented by the Face Gym Multi Sculpt contouring tool. “I like to do it under my sinuses—I feel like they’re a bit blocked at the moment, and it just feels nice,” she says while gliding the tool across her face. Next is Youth To The People’s firming eye cream to quell dark circles and prep for makeup. “I feel like if you put on eye cream and then concealer, it just sits nicer; it doesn’t look so dry and crusty.” For lips, Moss uses Laneige’s mask to the last drop, musing that her mother took her last pot of the cult-favorite treatment. “Recently, I’ve been really strict with myself about wearing sun cream because I just realized that it’s better for my skin,” she says as she applies an imperceptible veil of Ultra Violette’s weightless SPF. Then, a spritz of Cosmoss’s Sacred Mist from her mom’s recently launched wellness brand rounds out her skin care regimen. “It smells of [my mom] and it makes me so happy because it reminds me of her.” 

With skin prepped, Moss is ready to dive into her going-out party look, beginning with Charlotte Tilbury’s buzzy Flawless Filter skin tint, buffing in the formula with a damp Beautyblender before blending concealer under her eyes and atop blemishes. “I think the best makeup advice I’ve ever received is from my mom, and it’s that less is more,” she says. Onto contour, Moss reveals her special “dot-dot” application strategy, which entails dotting along the hollows of her cheeks and forehead with Charlotte Tilbury’s contour wand before blending. Next up, Kosas’s tinted balm is swiped on the cheeks for a rosy flush, while brows are brushed into place with gel. Then, to accentuate her gaze, Moss smudges brown and champagne-hued shadow in the lids before using an eyelash curler and a few swipes of mascara to achieve next-level lashes. For a naturally fuller pout, Tilbury’s lip liner in Pillow Talk, followed by Fenty Beauty’s gloss does the trick. “I definitely take my lip liner with me when I’m going out—it’s in my bag all day, every day because it’s one of those things I wear when I’m not even wearing makeup,” she spills. After a light dusting of Glossier’s finishing powder and a mist of perfume, Moss is all set for a night on the town.

I have done my research. Girlfriend, it could take an arm, and a leg to become one. I know there are really cute items that call to people that are real cheap. I just hope you do not treat yourself in the same way. Some mall items are essential like the great Louis Vuitton bag. Your Mac brush. The Marc by Marc Jacobs makeup bag. The list can go on and on.

I started to realize that to become the great fashionista of my time I would first have to accumulate all my cute items. These women have a crush on very expensive items. I caught myself saying that this little country girl also likes clothes to match too. Now, with winter approaching, people are a bit more worried about a fashionable coat. So I am I.

I would recommend a coat that is comfortable, but proves, to have a nice design and color. I know all the great fashionistas, of the city, will be wearing their very best Tommy Hilfiger coat.

I would recommend a fur, but that, is not the real concern. The concern is a well built coat. With this coat I hope we all remind ourselves that to become fashionable it does take some leg work, and a lot, of well deserved thinking.

Favorite makeup routine? 💕💕

My makeup routine has been the same for awhile now, and I honestly use the same products basically everyday. Let’s get into them :

1. The base :

For my base, I always make sure I cleanse my face, moisturize and use a primer. I like the elf poreless putty & I also love the Marc jacobs coconut one! I mix these two foundations together, then use the Nars creamy concealer. Then, I ALWAYS cream contour. My favorite lately has been the morphe contour sticks.

2. Powders :

Once all of the liquid products are on, I get into the powder products. I use a powder puff to pat the Rimmel stay matte powder all over my face. (Not baking, just patting it in) After I brush it away with a fluffy brush, I add a bronzer/contour to add definition. Then, I use blush. I don’t really wear highlight anymore (Only on my nose) but these two have been favorites for years so I figured I’d include them! After powder but before highlight I spray setting spray all over my face to lock everything in.

3. Eyes & brows :

I keep my eyes and eyebrows simple, I use clear brow gel to keep my brows in place, and I like to layer these two mascaras. I love the Anastasia brow wiz, and I love the Mac amber times nine eyeshadow palette. This is the setting spray I like the best.

5. Lips.

My fave step!! ❤︎ For my favorite routine, I keep everything the same, except my lips, I usually like to use a different lip combo a lot, my absolute favorites are the Fenty gloss bomb in sweet mouth, and Buxom White Russian. I love so many different lip glosses. I love the VS lip glosses too. For my lips, I always outline with a darker liner and use a light pink or frosty pink lip gloss!

I’m sorry if this was a little boring, this is my go to routine! Whenever I do my makeup, this is my favorite look. I change it up sometimes, but this is the #1.

I like to wash my face first with Dr jart microfoam cleanser bc it leaves a really smooth finish on my skin, then tone with laneige cream skin toner. I use a sponge or my fingers to put on the salt New York sneaky balm skin tint in the lightest shade. If I need more coverage in places I'll layer on the kosas revealer concealer in shade 1.5C.

right now I'm really into bronzing my forehead, I'll either use the glossier solar paint in shade flare and blend out with Milani silky matte bronzer in the lightest shade, or I'll use a nude/peach colored blush to bronze, which works well for me since I'm fair!! I either use Patrick Ta doubletake powder in "do we know her" or Milani cheek kiss cream in nude. I put my bronzer along my hairline, on my temples and down to the top of my cheekbone...

Then I add whatever blush I feel like, I have many lol. My favorite cream blushes are the salt new York creme tint pro, tower 28 beach please balm, melt cream blushlight and Milani cheek kiss. I usually go with a blush that is pink, berry, peach or nude/brown. I'm currently quite obsessed with a brownish nude blush mixed with a dusky pink, like a dirty ballet slipper pink, then a touch of blackberry/hot pink on the apples of my cheek. I mix and match a lot. I also always highlight the tip of my nose with salt new York's pearl highlighter, add faux freckles with original freck, and fill my eyebrows with the kosas brow pop pencil in taupe. I always fill my brows to appear a bit straight with a slight arch, and I don't make them thicker.

my favorite mascara rn is Maybelline Sky high, but I also like the Ilia volumizing mascara. I like to have big dark lashes, even on the bottom ones, and I especially load on mascara at the outer corner. For eyeliner I like a very fine wing just at the outer corner, sometimes so fine as to look more like a single false lash. the glossier pro tip is good but right now I love the freck lashrocket.

I currently love a nude/brownish lip liner with a pink, clear or rosy brown gloss. All day I just put on whatever lip gloss or balm that's in reach lol. I also love tower28 lip jellies and the girlactik jello balm (which smells like fresh laundry and grape soda).

Little details of my beauty routine I just want to mention: I love the mix of native aloe& green tea deodorant with Perfect by Marc Jacobs. I'm obsessed with claw clip updos, my favorite claws are from Chunks, but I also my scunci pink $3 one. I love natural hair makeup brushes bc they work sooo much better at picking up both powders and creams. my favorites are from Rephyr!! Thanks for asking, I find this fun to talk about and document💖
