I will say it was such an honor to have Britney back on my screen for a BB season after so many years.

BB12 was the first season I ever watched and even then in 2010 Britney was a favorite of mine and she always has been. To see just how good she is competitively, strategically, socially, and how she is still THE queen of the diary room years later, it was such a joy.

She just has a special place in my heart and knowing I’ve been able to watch her play 3 different times in my life and each time she’s grown and gotten better, loved it so much.

Let's start with the #1 fashion icon herself - Bria. I think Bria's had a few eras that represent her style very well. Of course, pre-royal times (Look 1 +5) but even then she was figuring herself out. I'd say pre-SimDonia when she lived in Simerica still with Emmitt and all the kids is like the most she's ever dressed the way she wanted (Look 2, 3, 6, 7).

Our girl likes to show a little skin and dress for her figure, but still be professional and of course just glamourous as hell. Back then while she was still a royal, the reigns were the loosest they'd ever been in terms of dress code since she was in Simerica and Spencer didn't have strict royals for dress.

Look 4 is what I made for this before I realized she had some style moments that explained this well. She definitely wishes she could wear something like this!

Of course, I also had to do Diana! I thought this was funny because it's so different than Bria. Diana rarely gets to be comfortable and she wishes that she would toss the skirt and put on some sweats everyday. Even at home at the Palace, she has to be mindful of the staff. Look 1 was when she was on maternity leave so she got to be more casual. Look 3 is from a state visit where she hiked with the Komorebian royal fam. The middle look is her ideal look. Sorry Diana, but time to grab the slacks lol

How different do you think the power dynamic would be between a reader, Chuuya and Dazai? Because even though chuuya might openly challenge Dazai i feel like he is still the one in control and that he has chuuya under his thumb. Which is sad because chuuya is such a loyal man and even though i think dazai has a certain fondness over chuuya, he also wouldnt hesitate to discard him if things came to it :(

honestly, it would basically be bmb HAHAHA like i don’t see chuuya as a sub or even a switch tbh but he very clearly respects dazai even if he doesn’t particularly like him all the time.

ultimately i agree with you on all accounts; dazai is, at his core, an extremely selfish person, and he is more than willing to do what he must to secure the best outcome for himself/what HE wants, irregardless of who he has to hurt or step on to do it. i don’t think that that makes his feelings any less genuine—like you, i think he truly does care for chuuya and has a sincere soft spot for him—i just think it’s more a case of his selfishness outweighs pretty much anything else. like sure, he’s fond of chuuya, but that doesn’t mean he’ll keep him around if he becomes a threat—that fondness isn’t strong enough to counteract his selfishness. if chuuya begins causing problems or threatening whatever it is dazai wants, he’s gone in an instant, personal feelings set aside for whatever dazai’s ultimate goal is.

if you start siding with chuuya too often, he’s gone. if you start to favour chuuya instead of dazai, he’s gone. if you start disobeying and listening to chuuya’s demands and orders over dazai’s, he’s gone. if chuuya starts to push back too hard, and dazai decides it’s too much work to keep him around and keep reigning him in and stomping him down back into some unstable state of ‘submission’, he’s gone.

however, i think chuuya knows dazai really well—perhaps even better than dazai believes he does (although dazai is so fucking perceptive i’m not sure this would even be possible ahaha)—and he’d know which buttons to press and when to keep himself ultimately safe and a part of the relationship, irregardless of the fact that dazai knows just how to get under his skin and chuuya is quick to anger/react. if chuuya really loves you, and he knows his only chance at being in your life and having any part of you at all means he has to share with dazai, means he has to play dazai’s game, then he’ll grit his teeth and fucking do it. for you, and only for you.

i think that as long as chuuya is willing to submit to dazai in some way and allow him to have and own that ‘leader’ or boss title, the relationship works fairly well. i don’t think chuuya necessarily has an issue with authority or being given orders, but i do think he pushes back and challenges things he doesn’t agree with, so that’s where most of their fights or clashes would stem from (aside from the obvious of dazai provoking him simply to get a reaction + entertain himself). it would mostly be concerning matters surrounding you—dazai thinks one thing is best for you, chuuya disagrees and pushes back as hard as he can while still keeping that delicate power balance and enabling himself to stay a part of this relationship. dazai isn’t exactly a tyrant though; not when it comes to chuuya, anyway. he values his opinion and he’ll hear him and his opposing argument out before he makes a final decision. there will be times where chuuya will have to swallow his pride and let dazai do what he wants even if he doesn’t agree with it, and there will be moments where dazai’s impeccable manipulation gets to chuuya and he’s tricked into believing dazai’s in the right and it was him in the wrong all along. ultimately, though, chuuya has enough of a sense of self preservation to know when to back the fuck down.

i think they’d even be able to cooperate at times tbh! and i think they’d both be able to find enjoyment in like, coming up with sexual punishments with you together or coming up with fun surprise outing ideas for you etc <3 because while they both heavily clash in the anime, they also fight like they’re pieces of the same puzzle and can, when they want to, fit perfectly together <3

Heeeeeey! ❤️ Here, I finally consider myself having read 'enough' Bloodborne fanfics, sooooo let me just share a few! Though I will be sincere; my selection of characters and themes to read is a bit narrow (for now), I do not read anything in the row x) Let's see!

This is a short and finished fanfic that explains the mechanics of Micolash's mirrors teleportation from alchemical and occult standpoint, as well as HOW and WHY he is 'the Host of the Nightmare' and... without any exagerration or flattery?

This is basically all I've ever wanted from fanfiction about Micolash. I was honestly impressed by alchemical and historical knowledge elaborated and how precisely it is explained how things WORK. Fictional universe giving very exact formulas, mechanics and rules of worldbuilding always felt like absolutely next-level thing for me, and something I think Bloodborne fandom REALLY needs. ESPECIALLY regarding the dark academia horror related characters like Micolash. Writing level is also very good.

ALSO, this particular fanfic made me realise something about School of Mensis that BLEW my mind, so I will bring up a bit from it in another post, stay tuned in

(Not to mention that I am absolutely in love with this portrayal of 'early' Micolash, only just having set a foot on his path to insanity, being very stubborn and determined yet clearly having no realistic esteem of how HARD this way will be. Almost childish naivety of a boy that fell in love with inhuman knowledge...)

Now finished works end. x) This fanfic I actually got recommended several times as one of like, two people that love Edgar. I am already enjoying it VERY much, it was definitely worth the hype from my friends I'll say.

It is written in the style of letters and diary notes mostly by Edgar, though sometimes scribbles of other characters are found and... Well, in this case, I did not KNOW I needed this. I absolutely love reasonable and analytical approach of Edgar and how well old English is imitated. (I personally also find this fanfic very handy as a reference to how people in Bloodborne setting would talk, since I just can't imitate this style as someone for whom English is not even the first language... Thank you for teaching me 5000 old-fashioned synonyms. )

Honestly, I think this is the best format for describing Edgar's slow descent into insanity possible; we can see how he loses his objective and falls in love with Micolash through his eyes, it illustrates the progression much more effectively than third face writing would in my opinion. I would not even call it a ship fanfic not yet at least?, he falls in love not with a man but with a cult leader but that is... even better? I don't want to spoil at what point the fanfic is right now as I write this post, but it was SO awesome that I've been thinking about it all day. Without irony, I want Whatever This Is even more than normal "ship" now o_o'

This is also a work in progress, an ambitious project to tell the full story of discovery of the Old Blood and Pthumerian secrets, getting help of Cainhurst in investigations, all the researches, forming of the Healing Church and so on so on...

I am really impressed that Fantomette, as someone without prior experience with writing (and not speaking English as native language, like me) jumped to something so big. But honestly? I've had a lot of fun reading this story. It is just... so many characters, so many themes, and chapters are written absolutely correctly in how they lead events from point A to point B and how the mood changes. There is never too much emotion+information, and never not enough. I don't know how to explain it well as I am still a visual artist, not a writer, but it legit feels like watching a fun TV show! You get invested.

I will be blunt; skill, artistry, grammar (especially in foreign language), sometimes even consistency... they all are important but there is always time to develop them. The most, and most, and MOST important thing for the writing, without which NO skill matters is to be entertaining and engaging. And this fanfic did entertain me and did make me care about what was going on, so of course I can recommend it with clear conscience.

(Also, side note, I gave her many advices on how to improve this or that sentence and pointed out some wrongly used synonyms or typos... I was worried that I'd accidentally destroy her self-esteem, but she has been receiving constructive criticism very well and is willing to improve. Like.. I can just say this person has talent and will go very far.)

So yeah! Waiting for the latter two to get more chapters and be finished.. and also hoping for more stuff like the first one please!

I'd say I am very particular on the 'gives my blorbo a justice' fanfics, and those that either do not focus on a ship or make it weeeeeeeird. Each of the listed fanfics are an example of what I am after; exploration and exact explanation of the science and magic, study of a character and their progress as a person, and detalization of 50000 events and characters that formed Yharnam's story! If you got some more, let me know too!

1. What memory would your OC rather just forget?

I answered this here already, but here is another one:

There was a moment after Malcolm died, when they all stood at the dying light of the pyre (save Carver, who was already away with the army) and Bethany reached for Leandra's arm to guide her away. As Leandra turned, her eyes caught Maria's and Maria saw blame there.

It was only a moment. She has never been sure if Leandra meant it or not. But it would be so much easier to forget instead of lying awake some nights, wondering if it was all her fault after all, if there was some way she might have saved her father, saved Beth, saved her mother...if it was really all on her shoulders after all, and if she'd only tried a little harder, been a little stronger....

No. She'd rather just forget.

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

Honestly, I think Elowen has changed the most.

Part of the trouble with writing her is that when I originally wrote Your Fate for Mine, she is basically living through the worst-case scenario. Her mind is unraveling in the Fade and what little information you get about her life before is filtered through several layers of tragedy. Taking her from this context and writing her in any other situation was a challenge, because I had to decide what was a result of her circumstances and what was her actual core personality. Beyond that, she was my first Inquisitor, and through her I was trying to make sense of a lot of story elements.

So: in short, initially I asked myself "What kind of person would willingly choose to stay in the Fade to spare Hawke and Stroud?" and I came up with Elowen: nursing a deep imposter complex, endlessly loyal, melancholy on a level that friendship and love don't really touch, and tending toward self-sacrifice.

She changed when I looked deeper than that and asked myself why she would stay with the Inquisition, why she would have made the choices she made in-text, why she would care for Cullen and he for her, and so on. So...I think the biggest change for her was just fleshing out her motivations and such more thoroughly, as well as placing them in a new context.

(Not that hardly anyone has seen that context lol. I have like, 65k into another fic with her and it's been fun to explore her personality later in the game's events, but until I can work out the ending I'm afraid it will go on gathering dust in my docs)
