The unintentionally perfect finales will probably become another one of my controversial categories on this blog, since I basically declared that some musicians should have ended their careers at an earlier point. For instance, let's say you concluded with an album that wasn't really you at your best, though you still showed the reasons people like you. The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees by the Monkees, of course, might be one such case. Mind you, their consequent works didn't demolish their legacy, yet they didn't add that much either. However, their struggles predicted a career arc of a typical prefabricated musical outfit. They were one of the better from the category, though they inadvertently established the rules many of the similar proposition go through.

“[…] lately I’ve been hearing this sound. Everywhere I go, like a tick, tick, tick… Like a time bomb in some cheesy B-movie or a saturday morning cartoon. The fuse has been lit. The clock counts down the seconds, as the flame gets closer, and closer, and closer, until… all at once [boom]”

Victoria Bekiempis and Maya Yang at The Guardian:
The sentencing in Donald Trump’s Manhattan criminal hush-money case has been postponed indefinitely while attorneys on both sides argue over its future given his recent election victory. Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing Trump’s case, did not provide a new sentencing date in his one-page scheduling order on Friday. Merchan said in his decision that Trump’s lawyers had to file their argument for dismissal by end of business on 2 December. Prosecutors have one week to respond. The development came in the wake of filings from prosecutors and defense lawyers over their views of how Trump’s case should proceed after he won the 2024 election against Kamala Harris.
Trump’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, issued a statement calling the decision a “decisive win”. However, he repeated the president-elect’s claim that the case – which found Trump guilty on 34 felony counts of falsified business records – was a “hoax”. Trump’s lawyers on Tuesday asked Merchan to throw out the case, contending that dismissal was necessary “in order to facilitate the orderly transition of executive power”. Todd Blanche, Trump’s lead attorney and choice for deputy US attorney general, and Emil Bove, the president-elect’s pick for principal associate deputy attorney general, complained that the Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg’s team “appears to not yet be ready to dismiss this politically motivated and fatally flawed case, which is what is mandated by the law and will happen as justice takes its course”.
They argued that the US justice department was on the verge of dismissing Trump’s federal cases and pointed to a departmental memo that bars prosecution of sitting presidents. “As in those cases, dismissal is necessary here,” their filing said. “Just as a sitting president is completely immune from any criminal process, so too is President Trump as president-elect.”
They claimed that if this case proceeds, it would “be uniquely destabilizing” and could “hamstring the operation of the whole governmental apparatus, both in foreign and domestic affairs”. They asked Merchan to give them until 20 December to file their push for dismissal. Prosecutors previously told Merchan that they planned on fighting Trump’s expected plans for dismissal in the aftermath of his recent presidential win. Prosecutors also said that other case proceedings should be put on pause until Trump’s dismissal argument is decided.
[...] Prosecutors disagreed that Trump’s case should be dismissed simply because appeals would not be decided before his inauguration. While they respected the presidency and understood the logistical issues, “no current law establishes that a president’s temporary immunity from prosecution requires dismissal of a post-trial criminal proceeding that was initiated at a time when the defendant was not immune from criminal prosecution, and that is based on unofficial conduct from which the defendant is also not immune.” The prosecution said that courts must respect the varying constitutional interests – the executive branch’s need for independence, and the judicial branch’s need for integrity. Prosecutors told Merchan that there were routes he could take other than outright dismissal, including “deferral of all remaining criminal proceedings until after the end of defendant’s upcoming presidential term”. Trump was found guilty of falsifying business records in an effort to sway the 2016 election on 30 May. The prosecution said that Trump falsely listed reimbursements to his then-lawyer, Michael Cohen, who gave the adult film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 for her silence about a purported affair with Trump, as “legal expenses”. The jury reached their guilty verdict in less than 24 hours. These proceedings were the first time a US president – former or sitting – stood a criminal trial, as well as a conviction.
The Trump business records falsification case sentencing has been postponed indefinitely.

what about favourite places the Molina boys like to fuck you? Hope you are feeling better x
Thank you, I am!!!! Sorry, I know this is an old ask, and there are even older asks I haven’t answered. I’m trying to it’s just my life is kinda wild right now
Ricky: ooooh omg okay so I’d say bed because he’s a little more traditional and loves making love to you in a safe space, but I’d also like to offer this as a fun public option: a jail cell. Dude. Fucking you against the bars, handcuffed. (CAREFULLY!!) Using a baton to spank you, just enough to sting and leave bruises, then using it to fuck you… oh god do I have another wip????
Robert: a movie theater, especially if it’s during the premiere of one of his films. He can’t help but feel very powerful at those, and he wants to use the power on you as he fucks your mouth in the back of the theater, then makes you cockwarm him until he’s hard again while he plays with your clit
Harold: on the balcony while it’s raining, because he’s such a romantic and loves the rain. Hearing your breathy sighs mixed with the sound our rain and the smell of ozone? Oh man it’s heaven to him
Otto: in a classroom, probably pretending to hold you back for some sort of indiscretion so he can punish you. ORRRRRRR while his students are taking an exam, so you have to suck his cock under his desk and be super careful not to get caught
Doc Ock: in his lab, probably pinned down to his workbench with the actuators. Maybe roleplays a little mad scientist thing, he probably would have toys (that he made!!!) hidden under the bench and he’ll experiment on you with those
Harding: somewhere at the hospital, likely 311 or an empty patient’s room. If it’s the 311, he loves to role play that you’ve made a mistake and then punish you for it
Edelweiss: in the morgue. Because it’s him. Don’t worry, no bodies are laying out while you’re suckin it sloppy
Chandler: similar to Ricardo, an interrogation room, because he wants to make you sweat. He asks you inappropriate questions like “why are you so wet?” “how good of a little cocksucker are you?” etc. And you are DEFINITELY handcuffed
Big Boss: anywhere. Literally, man’s gotta get his dick wet 24/7. Probably loves public spaces, because he wants people to hear how well he fucks you
Andres: at his villa in Mexico that overlooks the pacific, probably is licking sangria off your skin
Boris: sweet baby boyyy probably just the bed, he’s very simple with his pleasure and as long as you’re involved he’s happy (and hard)
Dunlop: in the back of a military hummer, especially one that’s locked up and in a restricted area that he’s allowed in but you’re not so y’all gotta be careful, but he’s not being careful he wants you to scream and squirt all over the equipment
Arden: in a ufo (jk) ummmmm probably at a bar, discreetly having you sit on his lap in a booth at the back of the room, rubbing your clit while you order a drink, get drunker and drunker until he doesn’t care anymore and just bounces you up and down
Jim: anywhere in his home, he’s kinda reclusive so I don’t think he’d want to do it anywhere but there, but he’s down to fuck you on every surface of the house
Jimmy: his workshop, similar to Doc (less mad scientist, more “hey honey I made you some toys, let’s try ‘em out 😉”
Armand: in the forest, because, similar to Harold with the rain, he loves the smell. Especially if it’s a pine or juniper forest, and ESPECIALLY if you’re tied to a tree
Manuel: IN CHUUUUUUUUURCH YOU ABOUT TO SING YOUR PRAISES TO GOD (him) HES GONNA MAKE YOU CUM IN THE CONFESSIONAL
Maxim: in his luxurious penthouse suite, in the giant bed with satin sheets and your hands tied to the headboard
Hank: in his mayoral office, and he leaves the stains for as long as he can because he likes the reminders and is gross (in a great way). He loves fucking you in his office chair at his desk, it makes him feel so powerful
Oswald: in his private office, especially if it’s looking down on his lounge because he looks he’s the idea that he can fuck you against the glass and, at any moment, someone could look up and see just how good he’s owning you (credit: @chrism02)
Dick: in a bookstore (so cliche for a writer lmao) but the smell of books can be intoxicating, especially in the erotic section. Reads the dirtiest books to you while you sit on his lap, secretly cockwarming him

been thinking about stage musical poll that only had musicals from the last decade so I decided to make my own with broader categories! If a musical fits into multiple categories, pick the one that you think fits best!
Full disclosure I know these categories are wack in their distribution and missing a lot, but we’re all just here to have a good time 😎
Clarify in the tags!!

Ideas for future episodes of “Epic Rap Battles of History”:
1) Manuel Noriega vs. Saddam Hussein (theme: dictators who were taken down by the United States)
2) Steven Seagal vs. Ip Man (theme: martial arts fraud against one of the greatest of all-time. Think of this as a spiritual sequel to Lance Armstrong vs. Babe Ruth)
3) Jordan Belfort vs. Charles Ponzi (theme: two of the most infamous con artists who ever lived)
4) Joel Miller and Ellie Williams vs. Jean Valjean and Cosette (theme: fictional traumatized father figures and their daughter figures)
5) Avatar Aang vs. Dmitri Mendeleev (theme: master of the four elements against the founder of the periodic table of elements)
6) Hiawatha vs. Sitting Bull (theme: two of the most well-known Native American leaders)
7) Mary Wollstonecraft vs. Ruth Bader Ginsburg (theme: two of the most well-known feminist icons)
8) Buck Rogers vs. Flash Gordon (theme: the original sci-fi heroes)

what are some musicals you suggest?
oh boyyyyyyyy okay okay lol, here goes. please excuse any typos.
- in the heights (the broadway version is better, but there's a movie too)!! this is about a latinx community in NY and it shows individual characters' journey. very fun, very boppy. kinda fast paced rappy hip hop sort of music :) i love love love it and there's some good belters, too. also it's lin manuel miranda, so. u can't go wrong.
- 21 chump street: another lin manuel miranda one bc i Love him. it's only five songs, and the entire soundtrack is the musical (so there's no dialogue outside of it). it's about a police woman posing as a student in a highschool to catch drug crime, except one of the guys ends up falling for her. it's sooo fun.
- west side story (the original, but the movie is good too): dramatic deaths?? an overused romeo and juliet trope?? unrealistic but enrapturing relationships?? yes pls. plus it's steven sondheim and if u thought u couldn't go wrong with lin, u RLLY can't go wrong with steven.
- next to normal: so underrated, it's about a mother who struggles with bipolar disorder and is trying to help her family stay together. there was a tragedy within it earlier in the musical, and it's just long and hard and emotional. there's some tws for this one but the voices are beeeyoutofull.
- HADESTOWN. my favorite musical probably. it's a retelling of orpheus and eurydice and it is tragic and heartbreaking and has so many takes on these familiar characters. and the soundtrack is freaking incredible . persephone was my gay awakening <3
- dear evan hansen: personal vendetta aside, ben platt has this wailing whiny thing going on that kinda nails the part. this is like one of The musicals (along with hamilton), so everyone knows it, but it's popular for a reason. it's about a kid who commits suicide and then another kid gets wrapped up in it and starts lying to his family... it's a whole big thing and evan (protag) is kind of a douche, but he's painted in a good light 👍 there's a movie soundtrack, but i don't like it much except for the newer songs they added.
bonus: the lightning thief musical. i stuck it at the bottom bc it's percy jackson, so it's not it's own thing but like. IT MAKES ME EMOTIONAL. u have to listen to the bonus track version tho. i cannot listen to try without wanting to burst into tears actually. and george salazar plays grover, which is the only information u should need. (see: be more chill)
okay i actually have sooo many more, so if u need any other pls feel free to ask :))
