HAVE A RANDOM DREAM I HAD WITH SOME ART

It took place in medieval times. The protagonist is a royal researcher who was studying the origins of the kingdom’s enemy- fairys ✨ when he found an ol ancient book. He was reading one of the passages when suddenly he was shot forward into future by about 50 years into the body of his future son, who is half fairy *le gasp*. He was shown a prophecy- i dont know it very clearly but behind the walls of thr castles thrown theres a hidden chamber containing smth that would destroy the kingdom and could only be destroyed with fairy magic. Now, 50 years jn future tbe fairys are still a huge enemy with the kindgom so broski got chased and shot down so fast by the castle soilders. Luckily tho he would just- come back like a respawn point everytime he died so-. Tho his time to destroy the thing behind the thrown room was limited. He got better with learning his magik with each failur until eventually he got caught by the most recent royal researcher, which wasnt a future version of himself, but a replacement as futur him got executed for falling in lov with a fairy and havin a child. The reasercher was able to do a readong on the protag somehow ans found out be was the former researcher now in his future sons body. A funni scene is the protag and the researcher both agreed fairys were still horribl (the protag was in denial futur him would ever fall in love with fairy) and the protag wasnt against the researcher killin him over and over again to research the fairy part of him. Tbh at this point the protag had given up trying to convince ppl of the prophecy and kinda accepted the kingdoms fate

SO as an aromantic villain liker, I have to admit that whether aro or not, there's something compelling about Philip perhaps clinging to Caleb in part because of an alienation from the Other way of acquiring a Good God-Loving Family in his day and age. because if Caleb spurns their witch hunting dreams to go fall in love with a witch that's a perceived betrayal to Philip on two fronts, the witch sympathizing and the abandoning Philip for romance. it's compelling in a "Belos selectively ignores all the norms of his own oppressive belief system that he spurns, when he could have easily found a home amongst the freaks if he let go of his hate" way. it's compelling in an "adds even more parallels to Lilith, who avoids following his path, and shows that people who start in a similar place, with both genuine flaws and genuine instances of being wronged by the world, the latter not entirely unrelated to aromanticism, are still able to find joy instead of hatred, because aromanticism is not a destiny to endlessly suffer nor a destiny to do evil" kind of way.

BUT. unfortunately. I've seen way too many posts that just spew garbage like "Belos is evil because he's incapable of love, obviously! and the heroes are good and moral and (cough) not subhuman (cough) because they actually love people ����," just total horseshit right at the intersection of aphobia and ableism. just a total admission that they don't think love can ever motivate people to hurt anyone, that they don't think they can hurt anyone they love and no one they love could really hurt them, that love is a get out of jail free card when doing harm while harm is a get banned from love and humanity permanently card, so. basically, we can't have nice things.

Dear mdzs fandom. As much as I love fix-it tropes that are like "tragic death reversed ha! Beloved character gets to come back and fix this shit!" Or "SIKE eleventh hour time travel back to make different decisions and save everyone with foreknowledge from having already lived all this!" Or even some more creative uses of timeloops that give the same result...

We need to be honest that Wei Wuxian (or most the characters lbh but let's focus on him) would NOT participate in any of that shit unless forced or ooc 😂 That man LITERALLY DID get to come back to life and had the chance to try to rekindle his relationships and find closure and repair what he could of the fallout of his first life... and ACTIVELY SAID NO FUCK YOU I'M RUNNING AWAY WITH A DONKEY. HE WAS DRAGGED KICKING AND SCREAMING INTO THE CANON RESURRECTION AND REDEMPTION PLOT. IF GIVEN THE CHOICE HE WOULD STILL TRY TO YEET HIMSELF OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH IN ANY OF THESE DAMN FICS.

Went back to re-watch the first few eps of Peaceful Property, and the more I watch, the more uneasy I get about Kan. Like. I want her to be part of the team! I don't think she's the main antagonist or anything -- the show's been indicating pretty clearly that that's Uncle Kid and by extension the family lawyer's part. But I can't figure her part out.

Kan volunteered to work with the family. She looked up information on Home before she first met him. She's looked into several cases of unlawful behaviour of Home's family. She's constantly stressed (frequently shown eating sugary things, which she tells Home will reduce stress). She is supremely, supremely unimpressed with Home, but most so when he showcases his unexamined rich boy privilege, and she looks annoyed to disappointed when the siblings -- especially PangPang -- let Home get away with those antics. But she was still surprised to the point of shock when she realised it had been Home, not Kid, who ran Peach over.

She's been looking into Peach and PangPang, too, to the extent that she lets slip that she knows what name PangPang used to go by.

She made a point of commenting that something mentioned by only one witness won't usually be admitted as fact in court. She is really insistent that the pain of having caused harm does in no way diminish the pain of having been harmed.

Her office is crammed full with boxes over boxes of what we gotta assume are case files, and it looks like a very cheap place -- not the type you'd expect to work for the family lawyer, or Home's family overall.

Which reminds me -- are we ever going to get more information on what went down in the restaurant from ep 5? The inspector talking to Uncle Kid on that recording called it a murder case, and there were case files presumably to that effect that Kan reclaimed. The way ep 5 resolved, it looks like it was most likely an unfortunate accident, but if so, why did Somkit need the case files disappeared?

Sure, they could've been talking about the accident that nearly killed Peach. But that was a different night from the restaurant death. A different restaurant case, maybe? I'm stumped. And I wonder where Kan fits into all this. She's got a goal, and it's apparently to bring Home's family to justice, but … urghgh.

Maybe auncle Pok will enlighten us when we meet them.

(I'm going on only what we've been shown in the show so far, I know the mock trailer had a couple of hints in other directions -- but I'm gonna disregard those for now because we all know how misleading gmmtv pilot trailers can be)
