ok so your first problem was assuming mdzs is a story where Good People are Rewarded and Bad People are Punished.

your second problem was assuming that MXTX—who goes out of her way to showcase unresolved, tragic, undeserved endings in all of her works—would ever write a story with such a shallow notion of “deserving.”

the only reason wangxian makes it out unscathed is because they’re literally the protagonists. authorial intent and plot armor ensure their happy ending. that’s it.

in 'a very supernatural christmas' dean starts pretending to be a carol singer as a diversion, and he sings very badly. however we KNOW that jensen ackles sings properly later on the show, meaning *dean* canonically can sing (ie. it's not just a case of jensen playing a bad singer). so, either a) dean was being a little shit here, or b) by season 15 (episode seven) (lee episode) he had given himself singing lessons from youtube videos or something (very possibly in the bunker, when he had privacy, soundproofing (torture dungeons), and was teaching himself other things (cooking)). I also enjoy option c) John told dean he sounded gay so he panicked and pretended to be daddy's flat instrument

im truly not that mad at it but its just frustrating cause bads gotten so much flack for metagaming with the map when he doesn't, he uses an in-game mechanic. and then an egg admin metagames for vegetta's benefit (not vegettas fault btw) and ofc no crit happens bc vegettas a big streamer and bbh stans r chill.

again i dont think there should be arguments or upset over this, cause it doesn't rly matter in the grand scheme of things. its just annoying to constantly see the double standard and its always against bbh :/
