You mentioned @hellishgayliath that she stitched the pockets on herself. And being, assumedly, unskilled with sewing (and only recently be given the ability of thumbs) she'd be bad at it at first; but keep trying and being stubborn to do it herself, because Pico had to get his stubborness from somewhere :]

Just nicknames :] I based it off their favorite plants (and she calls Sage a fairy cause i don't think she'd just call her a fungus/mushroom lol)

bc ive seen ppl talk about it before, personally if i made a dungeon meshi game i would aim to make it a sort of like, something that reverses the usual idea of prep vs combat? like, in most games while prep CAN take a while, and it is often important for combat, usually its just a side thing w some menuing. some games like to make prep A Thing too, like i guess think how games like monster hunter make prepping a regular thing before you set out and have cute cutscenes w eating and stuff, but its still not ya kno. the focus.

what i would aim for is a game where most of the gameplay is in the rest and preparation and planning, and if you do well, when it finally GETS to the battle, it all just kinda falls into place mostly. the battle goes well, yay! you move on to the next thing.

if you did a BAD job prepping tho, things go wrong. you dont get enough sleep, you dont get proper nutrition, your chars are fatigued and hungry and not on their A-Game, making them more likely to miss. if you dont do a good enough job learning what you might be up against, your chars miss some crucial weakpoint. you dont plan out your characters positioning well enough, someones in just the wrong place and gets hurt. you dont pay enough attention to your surroundings, you miss the traps.

mechanically my first two choices would either be a sort of autobattler thing (you spend most of the time in the prep phase and in the battle phases see how your dominos fall, depending on how well you set them up. goes bad? well, turn the clock back, set up better) OR as a tactical RPG with a huge slant towards prep time and relatively short battles (its still POSSIBLE to win if you didnt do a good job prepping, but every mistake you make makes the battle 10x harder)

(also, when i say "battles" that can also mean stuff that isnt really combat, like. oh hey your characters are thrown into the puzzle zone!!! hope they have the mental capacity to get out without dying to the traps!!)

either way, if you lose, you get clues as to what you could have done better ("we were hungry and tired... we made stupid mistakes..."), you go back and try to do it better.

...and this whole concept is 100% easier said than designed but whatever lol. just feel like itd be fun to flip the idea of prep vs combat on its head ya kno?

Randomly remembered the half-reason i call my oc-verse by the name it has while laying in bed. One-half of the reason i still knew, but I had forgotten what had truly, really cemented it jointly until now

(it was a song from my favourite band I haven't listened to in a while.)

Thinking about Mother's Day for Eve, cause during the time of her being alive there was certainly nothing like that for her. Her life with being a Mother filled with guilt over the cycle of Sin she has given her children, the death of Abel and then the punishment of Cain. And when hearing about this "mother's day" being made, this woman must've felt like this was another punishment for her. A day for mother's to be celebrated only for the Mother of Humanity to never be able to get a present or even be able to see her children either due to them being in Heaven, stuck on Earth, or some other reason.

I haven’t worked on her since May I believe and then summer had me all sorts of distracted so I kinda forgot about her for a bit :V And I know I said I’d make a comic bout Pico’s reaction to her first but I kinda lost steam for that.

Meet Pico and Clem’s mother Charlotte but you can just call her Mama Char :D Out of universe she got her name from a opossum plushie I own but in universe Todd played the movie Charlotte’s Web for her and she just instantly grew a liking to it :3

She likes being in flowerbeds the most(plus napping in em) and helps with farming/gardening and likes foraging too. She even added pouches to her dress to hold all her babies and finds it so much easier to carry them that way than carrying them all on her back when she was smaller. She’s a very sweet and friendly lady and would honestly accept anyone as her child cuz ROTTMNT NEEDS MORE MOM FIGURES THAT NOTHING BAD HAPPENS TO THEM

And Pico of course is gonna make sure nothing bad happens to her as part of his protective nature.

But I think the turtle fellas would grow to like her, Donnie especially cuz she does compliment and acknowledge all the hard work he puts into building the dog park that her family is able to live safely at and is just so very impressed by that ( and you know how Don is when it comes to parental validation lmao)

actually its crazy how much karkat and dave can get away with being assholes sometimes VS dirk. Karkat is like. A DICK HEAD. Mind you i like dave and also was an avid bakugo stan (for context he tells deku to Kay why es) so it’s not like im sensitive to that but DAMN. Reading karkat’s dialogue sometimes had me reeling i think its because he GOES IN. Like he doesnt stop. Once he makes one scathing remark he sinks his talons in and goes for the kill, then plays with the corpse for like five minutes after.

Have some Zephyr Kas and Madge hehe. Under the cut as always

“Zee-zee was late for lessons.” Madge pipes up, and adds: “Kas got worried.”

Zephyr whirls in shock to stare at Kas. “You were?”

“I – I wasn’t –” Kas sputters, his skin turning the color of ripe tomatoes. “Auntie asked us to check on you!” he protests, but too late, there’s already a grin spreading across Zephyr’s face.

“You were!” Zephyr crows with delight, pointing. “You were worried –” he turns to Madge, wiping away a fake tear – “look, he actually cares, I’m so touched I could cry!” Madge just nods along. Isn’t it obvious?

“Was not!” Kas snaps, shoving past them to stomp back towards the main road.

Zephyr sprints after him, calling out: “You so were!”

“Not!”

“Were!”

“Shut up!”

“Kas Zayin cares about me!” Zephyr shouts to the sky, hands cupped around his mouth. He just barely manages to dodge a swipe from Kas, clutching his stomach all the while, bent over double from how hard he’s wheezing.

Madge stares at the two of them charging down the road, slip sliding in the half-frozen dirt, Kas chasing after Zephyr, and sighs, fisting her hands on her hips. “Honestly,” she mutters, shaking her head.

Her big brothers can be so silly sometimes.

As the grey clouds overhead part to let sunlight slice through – it seems it won’t be raining after all – she hurries after them with a call of “Wait up!”, cold hands shoved in her coat pockets, Zephyr’s gleeful laughter echoing through the midmorning air.
