Get well and rejoin us for the victory celebration in Hitler's place in the mountains." An ambulance took me to a field hospital, where I hazily recall several doctors standing over me, bright lights in my face, and hearing talk about some strain of Rhine River malaria.

all of these documents are a great reminder that e company wasn't a single monolith made up of men who all shared the exact same thoughts, like with the example of webster, malarkey clearly didn't like the guy and resents his being used as a primary source by ambrose, whereas alley has the exact same concerns but clearly likes webster a lot and is more concerned about web not being with easy for some significant events. idk i think especially with the show its very easy to fall into the the trap of thinking that they weren't real people who all thought independently of one another and saw things they went through differently

Watched the first Hunger Games movie this weekend, and had this jumble of thoughts relative to Katniss & Peeta-

• She is everything. He is Just Ken.

• They're like if Reagan Ridley and Brett Hands grew up in hell. Yes, autistic Katniss. Yes, himbo Peeta. I want to see them work for a shadow government together

• Katniss could have, and should have, been weirder. I support Katniss Rights and Katniss Wrongs

• Shipping them is... fine... but platonic soulmates Katniss & Peeta would've been everything. Real to me.

• Why is there no good ship name for them? Surely somebody found SOMETHING better than Peeniss or Peetniss. I'm not calling them Peeniss.

• I guess 'Kata' would've been okay, but like... eh.

• Unpopular opinion- Gale and Peeta are both fine. I don't hate either of them. Gale might be a stale piece of bread, but that's okay, because so am I. Peeta is like a princess to me.

got to the webster critique in malarkey's book and while i disagree (as much as i reasonably can), it's another fascinating moment because it's right smack in the middle of the bastogne section, webster is being directly compared to toye, and class is a major aspect of it.
