Listen, I’m getting straight to the point. I can’t bear this weight on my chest anymore- My cousins told me what happened and I just wanted to make sure you and the baby are alright. If you have a place to stay, money, you know, everything you need to take care of a newborn. Don - Why do you wanna help me? Mia - Listen, what you did, what we did, was wrong. Hell, I know you were also fucking my cousins- Don - Errr, you know about that? Look, Mia- Mia - Don, I’m not dumb and you were not that special babe Don - Ouch- Mia - I don’t care.You were my friend though, so I’m calling a truce. Don - Alright, truce. And hm, everything is fine right now, luckily Gunther took me and little Maximiliano in- Mia - You did NOT name your kid Maximiliano- Gunther - It’s ridiculous isn’t it? Mia - Very. I can’t believe you’ve let that happen, Münch. Don - Maximiliano is a cool name- Gunther - Please, I need help. You should come by the house, I’ll make us some tea and we’ll discuss new names, maybe something less Don. Mia - Definitely! What the hell was he thinking? Don - I’m right here-
Joaquin - Damnnn Kiara babe, looking fine as hell, as usual. Kiara - [ giggles ] Sergio - [ sighs ] Of course he knows her… Jace - Hmpf, funny... I don’t remember Kiara telling us she’s dating someone. Do you? Makoto - [ smirks ] Do I sense a ping of jealousy, Jacey man? Jace - Pfff, no? Why would I be jealous? Of course not- Makoto - Hmhm, [ hic ] of course not... She isn’t though, buddy. Joaquin’s just an old flame if I can even call him that much. They hooked up once or something like that after Dustin. [ hic ] More of a rebound then I guess. Jace - That guy? For real? Makoto - Yeah well, she has a little “thing” for french guys- [ hic ] Cheers bro, you have my blessing. Jace - [ laughs ] You’re so drunk, you don’t even know what you’re saying right now. Let’s go outside and drink some water maybe, yeah? Makoto - Water is a go [ hic ] good idea, yes.
Makoto - Hey there, little angel. Helios - Hey devil man. Makoto - You look so cute like this, I’m not used to seeing you this angelic but it’s definitely very, very cute. Helios - Angelic, you say? You say that because you haven’t seen what’s underneath. Makoto - Why don’t you show me then? Helios - You’ll just have to wait, won’t you? Makoto - [ whines ]

momoi giggles, letting her head fall in between the space of og's neck, as she shakes with laughter. makoto's statement only makes her laugh even harder, and though she tries to muffle herself, she can't help the fact that when she hears ya-chan laughter, she's on the verge of tears. " sorry, ko-chan. " she says in between giggles, as she tries to capture her breath. shuuzou stares at momoi - half offended / and he looks at og, whose also laughing, and he speaks softer because of makoto, " i can't believe you two. terrible demon children. go to your room. " momoi giggles even harder, but she's standing and pulling og up behind her, shaking her head. " i can't believe you're punishing me. i'm an angel. i've never done anything wrong a day in my life. " " lucifer was an angel. " " yama-chan, tell him i'm innocent. " tatsuya shakes his head as he watches atsushi, " how long do you think it'll take. twenty minutes ? cooling time included ? should be enough for everyone to get changed or whatever and back down. " eyes sit on og's back and he shakes his head at the angry red welp scratch marks. ryou finishes his coffee, sitting the cup down and pushes kazuya whose laughing so hard that ryou wonders if he can even breath anymore, " you're helpless. " still, he's amused by best friend, and so he hums, " i told my doctors that as long as vivid nightmares weren't a side effect, i'd try it. my anxiety and adhd meds do work. "
og watches, gaze flicking back across the table to spot makoto leaning closer to shuuzou, who’s playing with his hair. it’s interesting, if nothing else, to see a more lax makoto, seeing him when his mind is completely offline. shuuzou’s suddenly offense-yelling momoi’s name and og breaks out into a fit of laughter. makoto, however, once again leans away from shuuzou once his best friend’s voice raised, eyes squeezing shut in the moment.
makoto forces a soft breath out, one leg raising in his seat and he moves to press his cheek into his knee, arms now around his leg. “ it is way too early for this shit…. ” he’s debating going back to sleep where he is and kazuya’s laughter carries through the downstairs, leaving makoto to groan again in response.
mura nods along, grinning along before it dies / old captain’s calling momoi’s name / hara’s laughter kicks up, and he looks from food, to best friend, towards the living room. while curious, a part of him doesn’t actually want to know, so he’ll gladly choose to live oblivious. eyes fall back to tatsuya and he shakes his head in response, “ i don’t, either. ”
it happens just as he begins to calm, but shuuzou’s voice booms, full of shock and offense and his own amusement with everything bursts like a balloon, leaving him to so much as turn over in the couch as he laughs and laughs. calming once again, and reminding himself to breathe, he’s fine past a few divorced giggles here and there. “ if that’s the case, ” a yawn splits his thoughts, “ it’s a wonder you even take anything at this point. whenever you do, anyway. ”

The "you want a villain, I'll show you a villain" with either Hajime or Makoto please and thank you
Ask and he shall receive, I couldn’t decide so you get both 😅
Makoto swatted Kirigiri’s hand away from his like he she had burnt him. As far as he was concerned she had, he got up from the ground on his own. She sighed "we don’t have time for this, take my hand we need to get out of here." How was she so nonchalant, had she seen what had happened or had she already wiped the blood off her hands?
The idea only enraged him further.
"No"
"No?"
"No I’m not going to take your hand, who knows what kind of hell you’ll lead me to." He said sourly, Kirigiri sighed "it was part of the plan, I came as quickly as I could." Makoto glared and she froze., having never expected to see such rage on his face.
"It was part of your plan to have me framed for murder and die?" He said, letting the words hang in the air between them. "You didn’t think I’d survive did you? No one else has, and don’t say you thought I’d be lucky…" Makoto snorted at the look she gave "so naive aren’t we? Or were you just hoping to use me as your scapegoat so you could go free?"
He proded, he didn’t know where this was coming from but he didn’t care. He was angry, he was hurt…he had trusted her, he had trusted them all and they had sentenced him to death.
As an innocent kid.
Kirigiri was lost for words, there was nothing she could say. And Makoto chuckled but it was cold "no I get it, you needed to be the big bad detective so badly. Your ego couldn’t allow for a kid like me to take the spotlight from you and finally beat your dear old dad at his own game."
"That’s not…"
"But it’s fine, Kirigiri really. I know my place now, if you’ve elected yourself to be the hero who saves us all." The smile he gave sent shivers down her spine "well if you wanted a villain for your grand performance" the smile faded into something cruel.
Something sinister.
Something pained.
"Than I’ll show a villain" he said, leading the way out of the rubbish room even with his injuries. Kirigiri silently following him, knowing that no matter the outcome of the trail…she had made a terrible mistake.
.
.
.
Jin Kirigiri couldn’t help but scream at the ghost before him. Or rather he should by all accounts be a ghost. But no somehow the being before him was flesh and blood, standing before him with a kind smile. Polite as ever and if Jin was a lesser man he would have believed he came at peace.
But Jin was a Kirigiri in more than just name. Not that it took a detective to realise that, he knew little of what had occurred that night. He was told the project had been a failure….and yet here he was.
"Hajime Hinata, what can I do for you?"
The reserve course student looked at Jin for several moments, studying him with dull red eyes.
Before those eyes alit with fire.
With hate.
"You lied to me…what did you do to me" came a voice that was both the student he knew and one that he had never heard. Both in complete synch. So that where in line the failure, he supposed it was better than nothing. "Hajime, this has all been a big misunderstanding, you signed up for our programme."
A hand shot out and grabbed him by his collar, slamming him against his office wall. Jin gasped in pain and shock, red eyes staring into the depths of his soul. "I can fix this…yes, yes I can fix this if you just give me a cha-"
He was cut off by his head being slammed once again into his wall.
"We gave you what you wanted, more talent than you could ever need." Said Jin…and to his horror Hajime smiled. It was cold, it was sinister and it promised pain as if Jin wasn’t already seeing stars.
"You made me your hope….you wanted to use me to be your little hero" he hissed before it became a giggle…a chuckle until he was laughing with no joy no nothing. Sending chills down Jin’s spine.
What had they created?
"And yet you made me a monster…a villain" he cackled, as if it was all a big joke and yet the anger never left his eyes. His hand tightened on Jin’s neck and the last thing he heard before darkness over came him.
"You made me a villain…so I will show you a villain.’"

Cuckoo For Cocoa Puffs (Free!)
Summary: While discussing favorite cereals, Makoto realizes Haru is holding out on him and so uses a playful interrogation method to get a straight answer out of his friend.
A/N: My very first Free tickle fic! I'm so excited to share it with you! I feel super silly about the title but we all know my history with titles so I'm just going to let it be, lol. I originally wrote this with lee Haru laughing much louder, but after giving it some thought I decided it would be more in character for him to laugh silently, so this is what I settled on. I feel good about it! Hope you enjoy it, too! ^^
Word Count: 1,064
@tastybluesprite
~~~
“Mackerel doesn’t count.”
“Mackerel is all I eat for breakfast.”
“It is now, but I know you used to have cereal sometimes growing up.”
“That was a long time ago.”
“You’re not that old!” Makoto grinned, rolling over on the couch to look down at Haru, who lay on the floor staring up at the ceiling. His blue eyes slid over to his friend. “Come on. Forget cereal for breakfast; just think about cereal in general. Which one’s the best?”
Haru blinked. “Are there any fish-shaped cereals?”
Makoto laughed. “You’re impossible.”
“I don’t eat cereal.”
“You should try it! It’s good.”
“Okay.”
The brunette waited a beat, then smirked at his friend. “Aren’t you going to ask me what I think the best cereal is?”
“Uh, sure. What’s the best cereal, Makoto?”
“Cinnamon Toast Crunch.”
Haru frowned, then glanced away. “If you say so.”
“You can’t judge me when you won’t give me an answer yourself.”
“Whatever.”
Makoto reached down to poke his stomach. “Do you have an opinion on the matter after all, Haruka?”
Haru batted his hand away. “I thought we agreed not to call me that.”
“Then maybe you should stop being so stubborn about giving me an answer.” Makoto chuckled, an idea sparking in the back of his mind as he poked his friend again, wiggling his finger on purpose this time. “Just tell me.”
Haru rolled away from him onto his stomach, grunting. “Knock it off.”
Instead, Makoto quickly descended from the couch and sat on his friend’s lower back, skittering his fingers rapidly along his back and shoulders. “I know you have a favorite cereal. What is it? Tell me.”
“H-Hey! Stop!” Haru protested, squirming. He wasn’t really reacting beyond that, but Makoto knew he’d break eventually. It was just a matter of keeping it up. The ravenette made a choking kind of noise when the taller boy started jabbing his fingers into the backs of his ribs. “Makoto!”
Makoto merely grinned, reaching under his shirt to dig purposefully into his ribs from behind. “Tell me, or I’ll tickle it out of you.”
Haru’s eyes snapped up to him in a brief panic. The usually stoic swimmer was well aware that Makoto knew he was ticklish enough for it to be a viable interrogation method, but still. He didn’t want to crumble right away just from the threat of it. He tried clamping his arms to his sides. “Don’t!”
“All right, you asked for it.” Makoto grinned, switching from digging to light scribbling, and Haru shuddered beneath him, burying his face in the carpeted floor to try and muffle his giggles as they slipped out of him beyond his control. “Jeez, you’re so stubborn, Haruka. All you have to do is tell me your favorite cereal.”
“I don’t eat cereal,” Haru tried, letting out a squeal that made his cheeks instantly turn a dark shade of embarrassed red. “Stohohop it!”
“See, I like Cinnamon Toast Crunch because it’s so sugary,” Makoto replied as though he hadn’t heard the giggly plea. “I know it’s not super healthy but I only eat it in the off season. I have to imagine you’d probably be a Honey Nut Cheerios person, or maybe a Fruity Pebbles kind of guy if you’re secretly pretty bold.”
“Mahahahakoto!” Haru cackled, giggles becoming soft laughter the more his friend focused on that incessant, light scribbling across his second worst spot. “Stohohohohohop!”
“I wonder what Nagisa and Rei would imagine your cereal choice to be. I should have them guess once I’ve gotten an answer out of you.” Makoto smiled at his increasingly flustered friend. “Feel like talking yet?”
“Stohohohohohohop!”
“All right, guess I gotta bring out the big guns.” The brunette let up on his tickling and shimmied down Haru’s body to straddle his calves instead, pinning his legs to the floor. He glanced behind him just briefly to get an idea of where his feet were, then began scratching ruthlessly at the bare soles, watching in satisfaction as his normally silent friend absolutely shrieked with giggles.
“Ehehehehehehehehe! Nohohohohohoho, Mahahahahahakoto!” Haru pounded the carpet with his fists, laughing quietly but uncontrollably, unable to even wiggle his feet away thanks to the position he was in. He tried rolling over but could only flail uselessly, and seeing that triumphant smirk on his friend’s face was not helping this tickle any less. “Stohohohohohohohohop it!”
“Favorite cereal, Haru. Tell me.”
“I dohohohohohon’t eat cehehehehehereal! Plehehehehehehehease!”
“Lying won’t get you out of this situation, I’m afraid. Better talk before I go for the toes.”
Haru yelped, then slapped a hand over his mouth. “Nonono not the tohohohohohoes!”
Makoto grinned, his friend’s unique brand of hysterics making him feel giddy as well. Haru was quiet in all respects – even in his laughter, which never rose above a low chuckling even when his worst spot was being tickled mercilessly like this. The brunette knew that it was still unbearable, however, and that continuing at this pace should break him in another minute or so.
Sure enough, just a few seconds later, Haru was giggling his defeat. “Okahahahahahay, okay, fine! It’s Cocoa Puhuhuhuhuhuhuffs! Cocoa Puffs! Please, stohohohohohop!”
Makoto laughed. “You like Cocoa Puffs?! No way! Say you're cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!"
“Stop tihihihihihickling mehehehehe!”
“Say it!” Makoto demanded, grinning. Oh, how he wished he’d gotten his phone out for this.
Haru’s cheeks and ears turned a dark shade of red as he squealed into the carpet, “I-I’m cuckoo for Cocohohohohoa Puffs! Plehehehease – Makoto, please, no mohohohohohohore!”
Finally the brunette let up, laughing himself at how cute Haru was being. He couldn’t believe he’d actually gotten him to say it! “That was great, Haru! Man, you must be more ticklish than I thought you were!”
“That was mean,” the ravenette muttered into the ground, covering his head with his arm. “Stop laughing at me. You wouldn’t stop until I said it.”
Makoto’s giggles died down, but his smile stayed in place. “Hey, you know I wasn’t trying to be mean. I just never hear you laugh, you know? It’s addicting. I wanted to draw it out as long as I could.”
“Whatever.”
“Don’t you ‘whatever’ me. I’ll tickle you again if I have to.”
Haru squeaked, scrambling away from his friend in a hurry, shooting a nervous smile over his shoulder. “Don’t!”
Makoto smirked, wiggling his fingers playfully. “Why don’t we discuss dessert next?”
You did really amazing last time, idk if i sent another request, but could i get headcanons of Korekiyo, Nagito and Hajime with an S/o who has a Identical twin, and one day the boys go out and they see S/o with another guy, and so later when they confront S/o, they find out it wasn't S/o but they're twin. So s/o is like "ohh, Lmao, I forgot to tell you i have a twin." And proceeds to show the boys a picture of S/o with they're twin. (If you don't do kiyo, just replace him with makoto)
Ik my Requests are oddly specific, but i have shower thoughts constantly 😭💙 - Mod static.
hiya mod static!! sorry to have kept you waiting! took a break for a bit since school was getting pretty overwhelming and i had some events to attend to. i hope you enjoy this!!
T/N = Twin's name
Korekiyo, Nagito, and Hajime thinking their S/O who has an identical twin was cheating on them
Nagito was planning on getting you a gift! There wasn't an occasion, he just thought that you deserved to get one.
Nagito enters a store and starts to look for something that you may like, when he manages to catch a glimpse of a familiar head of hair.
It was you! Or so he thought. Nagito was about to walk up to you when he saw a guy head up to where "you" were and wrap their arms around "your" waist.
Nagito was ready to rush over there and push the person off when he saw "you" place "your" arms on the guy's shoulders and give them a kiss.
Nagito was heartbroken :(
He couldn't believe that you would do such a thing! Perhaps he... Really wasn't enough?
Nagito goes back home and thinks about what to do. He wants to confront you, but he's scared of you leaving him. But then again, you're supposedly doing something behind his back.
Poor babie doesn't know what to do. So he settles for avoiding you for a while at first.
You manage to catch on not too long after he starts avoiding you, so you confront him about it.
You ask him if you've done something wrong, to which Nagito tells you what he saw at the store a few days back.
You were confused about his story. You never went to the...
'Ohhhhhh. That's what happened.' It clicked in your head.
Giggling, you ask Nagito a simple question.
"T/N and their partner are pretty cute, huh?"
Now Nagito is confused. Who's T/N?
You laugh and explain to Nagito that you have an identical twin, who has a significant other who looks exactly like the person Nagito described in his statement earlier.
To convince him that you were telling the truth, you show Nagito pictures of you and your twin together.
And now it clicks in his head that that person wasn't you. That was your twin.
Nagito apologizes for doubting your loyalty to him and offers that you slap him.
But of course, you don't.
So now your plan is to introduce Nagito to your twin so next time he doesn't get confused!
Also a good way to get a "Twin's Blessing"
Hajime was just leaving the Reserve Course building one afternoon, ready to head over to your place when he spots "you" with another guy.
Hajime doesn't think much about it at first. That's just one of your friends, right?
Yeah, that's what he thought. That is until he saw the guy kiss "you", only to have "you" reciprocate.
Hajime is heartbroken, frustrated, and angry.
He can't believe that you'd betray him like this!
Was it cause he was a Reserve Course Student? Maybe it was cause he was just so average that you decided to look for someone else to do things behind his back.
Hajime resists the urge to march over there and cause a scene. That would be embarrassing.
So he decides on confronting you about what he saw later.
He gets home and invites you over, already having a bunch of mixed emotions welling in his chest.
When you arrive, he starts off by asking you a question.
"So, how are you and that guy doing, S/O?"
Of course, you're confused and ask him who he's referring to.
Hajime, being the sassy lil bitch that he can be, rolls his eyes at you and explains that he saw you and some guy making out in front of the Reserve Course Building.
Of course, you're still confused. You don't know who he's talking about at all.
That's when it clicked in your head that you had a twin—
You ask him a few questions regarding the guy that "you" were with, only to have them all replied with a yes. That confirms it.
You laugh, catching Hajime off guard.
"What the heck are you laughing at, S/O?! This isn't funny!"
You give Hajime a pat on the shoulder, before speaking up.
"T/N must've given you a show. Cause if I were in your shoes I'd be pretty surprised too."
T/N? Who in the world—
You then explain to Hajime that you have an identical twin. You then proceed to show him pictures of you and your twin.
Hajime, embarrassed, hugs you and apologizes for being so rude to you and offers you affection.
Jokingly, you tell him to check the face better cause he should recognize who you are by checking who's more attractive~
S/O, T/N is gonna smack your ass when they hear about what you said lol-
Kiyo was planning on buying you some flowers for a date you two were about to go on!
He was on his way to the flower shop and passed by a cafe when he saw someone familiar.
Stopping in his tracks, Kiyo takes a good look inside and sees "you", wearing a dress that you normally wouldn't have.
You were talking with some guy, to which Kiyo started to get uncomfortable.
To see you with another man... That was something that caught him off guard.
He observed silently as he watched "you" and the other guy talk happily, with "you", letting out the occasional laughter from time to time.
Sighing, Kiyo thought to himself that perhaps there was a misunderstanding on his part. He's studied people many times in the past, and damn straight can he tell when people are devoted to something or someone. The spark that he saw in their eyes were present in yours each time he saw you.
Hurriedly buying the flowers, Kiyo heads over to your home where you patiently wait for him to pick you up for your date.
When he arrives, he gives you the flowers and gives you a hug, to which you return of course, before both of you head off to your date.
Despite how much Kiyo trusts your loyalty to him, that image he saw of "you" and another man was engraved in his mind. It wouldn't go away unless he asked you about it.
I mean, you went from a café to your house real quick ofc there's something wrong
You realize that Kiyo is a lot more quiet than usual and ask him what's wrong. Hesitantly, he tells you about how he saw you with some other man when he was out getting you flowers and how seeing you with someone else brought pain to his heart.
Startled and confused, you start to process what Kiyo said. You were at home the entire time... So that must mean... Oh yeah! There IS one more explanation.
Giving Kiyo a hug, you bring out your phone and show a picture of "you"
"Pretty, right?" "You are always beautiful, my love. A rose with no thorns."
Blushing at his compliment, you giggle a bit and speak up.
"Awww, thank you Kiyo, but really, my twin is grateful for what you said, too!"
Kiyo doesn't get what you mean at first, so you explain to him how you have an identical twin, whose picture you just showed to him.
Of course, Kiyo apologizes for mistaking your twin for you, before bringing you into his arms.
"I wouldn't have known what to do if you had been swept into the arms of another, my love. Fortunately enough, it looks like you'll be remaining in my embrace."
Kiyo is glad to know that you've been loyal to him! He is so glad he didn't overthink things.
As an apology for misunderstanding at first, Kiyo is sure to let you enjoy the rest of your date!!
here you go mod static! i hope you liked this!! not sure if this is what you wanted to get but i do hope it reaches your expectations :') if not, i'd be more than willing to re-write this.
don't overwork yourself! stay healthy, safe, eat your meals and stay hydrated!
tatsuya and shuuzou sit quietly, eating their pizza and finishing their soda while kazuya goes into story mode, and shuu leans over, " it's storytime, " he whispers to tatsuya who giggles in response raising his juice in response. they're quiet as they listen to the story - both having two very different reactions. shuuzou frowns and tatsuya laughs. " that poor girl. " shuuzou says, and tatsuya is hitting him upside the head, " nothing less than what she deserved i'm sure. the teacher is just the icing on the cake, truly. ten out of ten, mako. " tatsuya grins and places chin into palm now, " you know i have a bunny suit if you really want to embarrass people. i've gotten shuu in it before. " shuuzou eyes tatsuya for a moment, " you terrify me, " tatsuya flashes teeth in grin, " as i should. " shuuzou pretends to shudder, " can't believe we dated. glad i got out of that unscathed and unharmed. " tatsuya laughs at him, " baby. " shuuzou shrugs, " makoto breaking hearts from childhood, i guess. did the girl transfer ? i'd have to transfer after that. " tatsuya snorts, " you say that like you didn't accidently date amy for like a month or two and then broke up with her in front of the entire quad when you found out you were dating her. did amy transfer ? " shuuzou slaps the table, " no but she came out as bi after you left ! she started dating some girl. last i heard they're still together. " tatsuya clicks his tongue, " shuuzou ruining men for everyone, since his birth. " shuu shrugs, " she still texts me sometimes, what am i suppose to do ? " " delete her number ? " " nah. " " this is why girls end up liking you. this is why people end up liking you in general. " shuuzou shrugs, taking a sip of his coke now, " that's not my problem. "
" i'm not doing anything, makoto. i'm innocent. how dare you accuse me of doing something ? i've never done anything wrong, a day in my life. " dramatics, as usual. " yeah i have no shame. " he shrugs, grinning. tatsuya snorts, " you? never done anything wrong ? how about that bet ? how about you getting so engrossed with staring at someone's chest that you -- " " okay tatsu. enough. " " no see, i don't think so. i have a list of things you've done wrong in your life. " " himuro tatsuya. " " ah there's that control kink --- " " TATSU ! " out of the corner of his eye, he sees plate sat down and shuuzou is lunging for it, to grab it in victory before he sits back down, and moving his plate to his lap, and victoriously, starting to eat the half-eaten slice that makoto had sat down. makoto is still distracted by the time that he's finished it, and he's grabbing makoto's other slice, to eat as well. ( ignoring the one slice that rests on his lap. ) " no no, " he says, finger picking off a pepperoni and shoving it into his mouth, moving gaze to kazuya, " finish it please. i'd love to know just how feral makoto's gone. "
Makoto was just minding his own business, He was walking to the dining hall with Sayaka just chatting about whatever came to mind when it started.
The closer they got the louder the voices were. He couldn’t distinguish who the other person In the argument was through the thick walls, But could clearly make out Mondo’s swearing.
“Do you… Hear something?” Sayaka asked, Putting a hand on Makoto and stopping both of them In their tracks.
“Yeah, Sounds like someone’s arguing with Mondo.” Makoto murmured as he closed his eyes in an attempt to make out what was being said.
For a moment the words got louder and clearer, But quickly became muffled again. As Makoto opened his eyes again he saw Yasuhiro standing In front of the closed doors. “What’s going on In there?” Makoto asked curiously.
“Ugh. Mondo and Kiyotaka are getting Into It In there.” Hiro sighed. “The energy In there Is like, Super negative. I wouldn’t go In there If I were you.”
He patted Makoto on the shoulder as walked past back to his room.
“We should go In there.”
“Are you sure? I mean last time I tried to diffuse a situation involving Mondo I got knocked out.” Makoto laughed nervously, Rubbing the back of his neck.
“You might be able to talk Taka down though.” She suggested, A bright smile on her face.
‘Somehow I sincerely doubt that.’
With a nod and a sigh, Makoto pulled the doors open and stepped In with The pop star.
It was much louder In the dining hall, Taka and Mondo were yelling at each other back and forth In front of their friends.
Makoto left Sayaka’s side and approached the duo warily. He didn’t get too close though before a hand tugged on his arm, Pulling him to a stop.
“Don’t get too close.”
The Ultimate turned to Sakura who had been the one to warn him, She had her eyes carefully trained on the two bickering students. She looked as if she were ready to jump In to separate the two at a moment's notice.
“How long have they been arguing?” The brunette asked, Stealing glances at his friends.
“At least ten minutes.” Hina spoke up from her spot next to Sakura. “They started fighting over who was better.”
“Again?”
“Yes.” Sakura responded.
“Man, This is getting old.” Leon sighed. “Sakura, Why don’t we just separate them now?” He asked, turning to the Ultimate Martial artist.
She glanced at him for a moment before looking back to Mondo and Taka. “And do what, Exactly? They need to work this out for themselves or the fighting will never end.”
She has a point…
“They should just have a stupid competition and get It over with.” Hina huffed. “Seriously, Their bickering Is ruining my donut eating session.”
“Don’t you eat Donuts all the time?” Leon asked, Exasperated.
“Also yes.” Sakura spoke up again, Smirking in amusement as Asahina pouted and grumbled to herself. She reached out and patted the Swimmer affectionately on the shoulder.
“Well,” Sayaka spoke up for the first time since entering the room. “When my group would be upset, We’d find things to do to alleviate the negativity.”
“Like what?” Leon asked curiously, taking his eyes off of the Ultimate’s before him.
The Idol hummed thoughtfully as she recalled all the group activities. “Well, We would talk about our feelings, Gossip…”
“Anything that might help this situation?” Makoto asked.
“Well, I remember one time I was really mad at a few of my friends And to make me forget about how angry I was and realize how stupid our argument had been, They ended up tickling me until I felt better.” Sayaka responded calmly, As If this were a totally normal thing.
“T-Tickling?” Leon stuttered. “You can’t be serious.”
“Sayaka, I don’t think that’s going to work…” The Ultimate Lucky student mumbled, A little embarrassed at the mention of the word.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this but… That might actually work.” Sakura interjected. “Maybe not In the same approach but the laughter should produce enough Dopamine to snuff out some of the Adrenaline they have.”
“Meaning…?” Hina asked quietly.
“Oh, I gotcha. They can’t be mad If they’re too busy laughing?” Leon asked.
“Correct.”
“How do we get them to go for that?” Makoto asked.
“I’m on It!” Hina jumped up, Suddenly very enthusiastic as she approached the pair. Makoto and Leon both exchanged worried looks.
“H-Hina wait!” Sakura tried to stop her friend but she was already actively ignoring everyone else.
“Should we… Stop her?” Makoto asked, To which Leon shrugged.
With a sigh the Martial artist watched even closer than before. Just what Is she up to?
After a few attempts at gaining their attention, Hina stepped In between them and yelled as loudly as she could muster. “BOYS!!!”
Taka was the first to notice her. “A-Asahina!?”
“WHAT?!” Mondo yelled back.
“Your yelling Is super annoying.” Aoi chastised them both, Crossing her arms. “Why not just settle this stupid argument with an Endurance contest? Whoever gives up first loses.”
“Hey, That’s a great idea. Then I can prove once and for all that I’m better than your dumbass.” Mondo smirked at Kiyotaka who rolled his eyes at the Biker.
“What kind of Endurance contest do you propose?” He asked the swimmer.
Aoi grinned, Her eyes glinting with mischief. “How about tickling? Whoever says mercy the fastest loses!”
Mondo and Taka exchanged glances. “That’s fucking stupid.” The biker replied, Uninterested, But that changed however when he noticed Taka looking a bit worried at the mention of Tickling.
“Y-Yeah, I don’t see how It’s supposed to be an endurance challenge! One has to be… Sensitive, In order for that to work out In the first place!” Taka stuttered nervously, Trying desperately to keep his composure. “R-Right…?”
He has a damn good reason to be worried, Kiyotaka Ishimaru Is immensely ticklish, In fact It’s nearly impossible to find a spot on the boy that Isn’t ticklish.
“Hey! It’s a perfectly good Endurance challenge! Right Sakura?” Aoi called out to her best friend, Ignoring that comment about sensitivity.
“Yes, But It’s not so much a physical endurance challenge as It is a mental one, It’s about pushing limits.” She complied.
“Yeah! She would know about pushing limits!” Aoi smiled, Going back over to Sakura. “Tell them!”
“I… Just did.”
“Not that, I meant that story you told me about Ke--”
Sakura quickly put a hand over Hina’s mouth, She appeared calm despite freaking out internally. “Karate.” She blushed, Not wanting anyone else to know the story about Kenshiro that Hina almost just blabbed. “Similarly to Karate, If you want to prove who’s better, What better way than to push past even your opponents limits?”
Leon and Makoto exchanged looks again, This time intrigued. Evidently they both picked up on the odd response.
Mondo looked back at Taka, Who despite his best efforts, Looked incredibly nervous as his window for escape kept getting smaller and smaller. “You look a little nervous, Ishimaru… Don’t tell me you’re ticklish.” He smirked as Taka’s face went red.
“W-What?! Me?! D-Don’t be preposterous!” Kiyotaka retorted. “W-What about you? Are you…?”
“Tch. As If. You think someone as tough as me Is fucking ticklish?” Mondo brushed off the comment, Playing It cool despite lying and being completely and utterly ticklish.
Aoi finally removed Sakura’s hand to dish out another embarrassing comment. “I mean, Sakura’s tougher than you are and she’s ticklish.”
Sakura was too late to stop her this time. Her face went red as everyone quickly looked at her in disbelief. “Don’t look at me like that.” She mumbled. “It was a long time ago.”
Not wanting to press their luck and get their asses kicked for teasing the powerful student, They turned back to what they were doing.
There was almost an unnervingly teasing edge to Mondo’s words as he spoke In a low voice. “So? Whaddya say Kiyotaka? Think you can outlast me?”
No, No he doesn’t. But he’s out of excuses to back out now so he gave a small nod. “O-Of course! I’m much stronger than you are!”
“I doubt that very much.” Mondo smirked, Glancing to Aoi. “You’re the one who suggested It, What do we do?”
Hina turned to Sakura to ask her opinion, But she looked too embarrassed to say anything, So she turned her attention to Sayaka. “What do you think?”
“Maybe set a timer and time how long the person lasts? and have one tickle the other?”
Mondo gave a rather sinister smirk to Taka. “Works for me.”
“W-Wait a moment! How Is that fair? I’ve never actually done this to someone before!”
“And you think I look like the kind of fucking person who goes around tickling people for shits and giggles?” The Biker scoffed.
“I mean, If you need help I can show you how to do it.” Leon volunteered.
“If you value your life you won’t get Involved.” Mondo warned.
“Now that that’s out of the way.” Makoto intervened. “Who wants to go first...?”
“We’re seriously going to do this? D-Don’t you feel the least bit… Childish?” Taka made one last attempt, And Mondo wasted no time crushing it.
“If you’re scared you can always just admit I’m better.”
Kiyotaka glanced around the room at their classmates before sighing and resigning himself to his fate. Either way his secret is going to get out, But at least this way he can take Mondo down with him. “Very well!” He shot back, Pushing aside his nervousness. “I will go first! This should be easy enough.”
While Taka wasn’t paying attention, Mondo had silently moved behind him. Smirking as he listened to Taka continue on with his self pep talk.
“I mean, It’s just tickling, How bad could It beeeEEE!” Taka squealed In surprise and quickly brought his shoulders up as he felt fingers flutter over his neck for a moment.
Mondo snorted in amusement, clearly proud of himself for producing that reaction. “I thought you said you weren’t ticklish earlier?” He asked teasingly.
“You just startled me!” He shot back, Though he was unable to hide the blush that formed.
Mondo rolled his eyes, smirking at the Ultimate Moral Compass. “Whatever,” He paused for a moment, Thinking about how he wanted to do this. He reached around Ishimaru and began to tauntingly unbutton his jacket.
“What are you doing??” Taka demanded.
“I’m having a fucking pool party-- What’s It look like I’m doing?!” Mondo retorted.
“Pool party???” Hina perked up at the mention.
“H-Hina… No.” Sakura sighed, Exasperated.
“I’m undoing your jacket so I can reach more spots.” The biker explained, Undoing the final button revealing a white shirt underneath. “There. Now then… Who’s keeping track?”
“I got you.” Leon volunteered, Whipping his phone out of his pocket and fiddling with it for a second. “Okay, Whenever you two are ready.”
“Are you ready to admit defeat?” Mondo whispered in his ear, The feeling of his warm breath against his neck sending chills down his spine. “Remember, The magic word for when you’re screaming your lungs out with laughter Is ‘Mercy.’”
Taka shivered, Closing his eyes and taking a small breath. “I am ready to begin, Leon!”
“Startiiiinnnng… now.” Leon announced, Hitting the start button on the stopwatch app.
Mondo wasted no time, His fingers skittering across Taka’s stomach with careless abandon. He smirked at the way the Red eyed student flinched and trembled under his touch.
“S-See? This Is pointless. I am fine.” Taka struggled to maintain his composure, He clenched his jaw to keep any whimpers or other embarrassing sounds from escaping.
Mondo winked at Leon as he slowed his fingers. “You’re right, I guess this Isn’t going to--” He stopped mid sentence to shove his hands under Taka’s shirt, and dug his fingers into his sides.
That’s all It took for Taka to crumble, He let out a scream and fell back against the Ultimate Biker’s chest laughing. “N-NOHOHO! MOHOHOHNDO!” He cried out, His hands grabbing uselessly at the tickling appendages.
“Well well… Looks like someone’s pretty fuckin’ ticklish.” Mondo smirked victoriously, His fingers squeezing at Taka’s bare sensitive sides without mercy.
In an attempt to escape the tickles, Taka sank to the floor. Mondo however, followed, not letting up for a moment. “Where do you think you’re going?” He teased. “You’re not getting out of this that easily.”
The Ultimate Hall Monitor flailed helplessly, Laughing hysterically as he did. “PLEHEHEHEASE!”
“Begging already? Man, this Is gonna be easy.” Mondo chuckled, Brushing his fingers teasingly across his stomach. “Just say mercy and this will all be over.”
“N-Nohohoho! I won’t gihihihive up!” He tried to curl In on himself but Mondo was quick to sit on his thighs to stop him.
“Fine, Guess I’ll just have to kick It up a notch then.” Mondo smirked, Tracing his fingertips up and down his sides. This action drew a squeal from the uptight student. “You seem to be pretty ticklish here. You got ticklish sides, Ishimaru?”
“N-Nohohohot particularly!” He lied. His sides were one of his worst spots.
“You’re a terrible fucking liar.” The biker scoffed, Tickling his sides much more vigorously, he honed in on a particularly sensitive spot just under his ribs.
“KYAHAHAHAHA! NAHAHAHAHA!” Taka’s face went red as he began flailing again, Mondo jolted back, narrowly missing a hand to the face.
“You’re kind of dangerous when tickled, Aren’tcha?” He chuckled, His fingers rhythmically massaging circles into the sensitive skin.
Taka couldn’t remember the last time he laughed this much or this hard, His lungs were burning and his sides were beginning to ache. He’d been tickled In the past by his parents, But never this brutally or for this long.
Tears pricked the corners of his eyes and his small gasps for breath became more frequent. Every nerve In his body was on fire. He knew he couldn’t last much longer.
Mondo knew this as well. “Squirm all you want, The only way to make this stop Is to say the magic word.” He teased. “I could keep tickling you for hours.”
He emphasized this by kneading his sides rather meanly, Sending ticklish shockwaves coursing through the laughing student below him.
He broke almost instantly, with a scream of laughter. “NAAAHAHA! MERCY! MERCYEHEHEHEHE!”
Almost begrudgingly, Mondo let up on the merciless tickles and moved off of Taka. “What was his time?” He asked Leon casually, Hiding his disappointment quite well.
Leon glanced at his phone screen again after hitting stop. “I’m not telling until after you go.” He grinned.
“What?! How am I supposed to know how long to last?”
“You don’t. I’ll tell you once you’ve beaten Taka’s time.” The redhead responded slyly. “It shouldn’t be a problem for someone like you, Right?”
He shoved his phone back Into his pocket and turned to Makoto. “You keep track of Mondo’s time.”
Makoto nodded and set up the app as he was told.
“Fine. Let’s get this over with.” Mondo rolled his eyes and laid down on the floor next to Taka, Who had finally caught his breath and gotten rid of the ghost tingles.
The Ultimate Moral compass sat up, thinking carefully. He still wasn’t entirely sure how to go about tickling Mondo, But he had a bit of an idea after that.
Leon came over, Not that Mondo had noticed due to him closing his eyes to brace himself. The former Baseball star leaned In close to Taka and whispered. “I’ll help you. Basically, Mondo Is super ticklish on his stomach and under his arms.” He explained, Glancing at the student in question.
“He’s super weak to light teasy touches on his stomach, Like this.” He demonstrated by lightly running his fingertips across the back of Taka’s hand. “Also, teasing him verbally literally kills him.”
Taka nodded as he took In all of this information. More eager than before to try.
Just as Mondo was opening his eyes to question them, Leon had pinned his arms above his head. “Hey there!” He greeted cheerfully, a wide grin on his face as he received a death glare.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing!?” Mondo snapped, tugging at his arms uselessly.
“Helping the opposition, What do you think I’m doing?” He asked innocently.
“I swear to God, I will fucking end you!”
Taka sat next to the angry biker on the floor, watching the two go back and forth for a moment longer before calling over his shoulder. “Makoto! I am ready!”
“O-Okay! Stopwatch started!”
Wasting no further time, Taka began fluttering his fingers ever so lightly across Mondo’s toned stomach, making shivers run down his spine as he tried to squirm away from the delicate touches.
The biker tried to resist, But try as he may, he soon began sputtering out giggles and threats. Though not really directed at Taka. “Leheheheon, You behehetter be thinking about what you want to say to gohohod because you’re gonna meet him today!”
“Taka, He’s still threatening me, I don’t think he’s laughing hard enough.” Leon tried to say seriously, But the grin on his face betrayed his words.
“I agree! I think I know how to fix that!” Taka smirked, Darting his fingers underneath Mondo’s jacket and launching an attack under his arms.
Mondo let out a shriek and tugged roughly at his trapped arms to no avail. “NO! NOHOHOT THERE!” He barked out between laughs.
Taka’s fingers were clumsy at first, But he quickly adapted, finding spidering motions to be the most effective technique. “Why not? This seems like a very sensitive spot. I think It would benefit me to stay here.”
“THIS IHIHIHSN’T FAHAHAIR!” He complained, Burying his face in his sleeve to hide his growing blush. “IHIHIT’S TWO ON ONE!”
“Hey, I’m just helping because Taka’s never tickled anyone before. I’m making things fair if anything.” Leon retorted. “Besides, I haven’t tickled you. I’m just holding you down. This Is all Kiyotaka.”
“That’s right! The rules never stated anything about restraint.” Taka smiled tauntingly, Applying a bit more pressure and mimicking the massaging motions Mondo used against him earlier.
“GAH! NAHAHAHAHAHA!”
“I bet that tickles like hell. It looks like It tickles.” Leon teased.
“STAHAHAHAHAHAP!” He pressed out between fits of laughter.
“Taka, Try his belly again. Now that he’s laughing, He shouldn’t be able to hold back.” the Ultimate Baseball star encouraged.
Ishimaru did as instructed, His fingers brushing teasingly against his stomach. This drew a squeal from the feared Biker gang leader’s lips.
“FUHUHUHUHUCK! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! TAHAHAHAKA STAHAHAHAP!” He cackled as he felt fingers delicately dancing across his skin.
“I’ll only stop If you say Mercy!” Taka reminded, Continuing his soft torturous tickles.
An Idea came to mind, A rather cruel one. Taka recalled a time when he was a child and was playing with his mom, he remembered how badly It tickled when she blew a raspberry on his belly and wondered If that would work here too. “L-Leon, You know that thing where someone presses their lips against your skin and makes a weird sound? What Is that called?”
“Eh?” Leon looked up at him curiously, Pondering for a moment. But a rather evil smile crossed his face as he came to the realization. “Oh, You mean raspberries, Don’t you?”
“Raspberries, Yes! How do I do that?”
“It’s simple really--”
“NONONO DOHOHOHON’T YOU DAHAHAHARE YOU SON OF A BIHIHIHITCH!” Mondo threw out an empty warning, His struggling intensifying.
Leon laughed. “You press your mouth to their skin, And blow. That’s it. Oh, When you do It, Make sure you tickle him with your hands somewhere too, That’ll really drive him nuts.”
Kiyotaka nodded, Eagerly he bent down and pressed his lips against his quivering stomach. This action alone drew a string of unmanly giggles and squeals from him.
The first few attempts weren’t so successful, but he finally figured it out and blew a raspberry against his stomach, while at the same time digging his fingers into his underarms.
“NAAHAHAHAHAHA! MERCY! OHOHO GOHOHOD STAHAHAHAP!” He screamed with laughter.
Taka relented, Pulling back with a victorious smile on his face. Leon released his arms and immediately dove for shelter In the form of hiding behind Sakura.
The others laughed at this.
Makoto was about to say something but Sayaka silently shushed him.
“Y-You’re fucking evil.” Mondo said breathlessly, pointing an accusing finger at him.
“S-So are you. I still feel the tingles on my sides.” Taka shivered at the recollection.
The Biker leader sat up and they locked eyes for a minute, Silent as they studied each other's reactions. Soon another round of laughter filled the room as they laughed at the absurdity of the situation.
“I’m sorry man, I guess I was kind of being a dick.” Mondo apologized.
“N-No, You’re fine! I apologize! I suppose I don’t know when to ‘take It easy’ as you put It.” Taka also apologized.
Mondo hooked his arm around Taka’s shoulders and pulled him to him. “That’s alright, I can teach ya bro!” He grinned.
“R-Really? Thank you bro!” The strict student beamed back.
“Oh God. They’ve become the other extreme now.” Aoi mumbled.
“I’ll never understand how male friendships work.” Sakura sighed, Hina giggled In response. “But, If they’re done fighting then… I suppose It’s all right that I don’t understand.”
Makoto looked at Leon. “Do you think they even still care about who won or lost?”
“Nope.” Leon snickered. “You wanna know just for the hell of It?”
Makoto nodded with a small chuckle.
“It was--”
“For our first hang out,” Mondo said loudly, on purpose. He locked eyes with Leon, Who had peaked out from behind Sakura to look at him. “Wanna help me get revenge on a certain Redhead?”
Leon squeaked as Taka also looked at him with a rather mischievous glimmer In his eyes.
“Yeah, Let’s get him.”
Is it despair bear time?
Yandere Human Monokuma X Spy Reader
"Is there a reason you called for me?" Your voice was quiet, almost monotone. Both because you didn’t want to sound rude or snappy to Monokuma but also because you were very tired. It was nighttime, 2 AM precisely, and Monokuma had woken you up and told you to come to his office. He hadn’t given you any chance to ask why or what was happening before he left, so you had to find out for yourself if this was something serious or not. This wasn’t the first time Monokuma had called you to his office, not even the first time he called you to his office at night. The only thing that made you annoyed was that these past few days he’s been waking you up in the middle of the night and telling you to come to him. And most of the time he didn’t even have a valid reason for calling upon you. And it got very tiresome really quick. You barely got any sleep these days and it was effecting you during daytime. You would nod off during the breakfast meetings and find it hard to stand without swaying and closing your eyes. And it was raising everyones suspicions. It peaked when you collapsed and fell asleep mid conversation with Byakuya and Makoto. You woke up later in your dorm, and of course the first person you ran into as you left was Byakuya. He had given you a stern look and scolded you after telling you what had happened. Most of your classmates had amounted it to you having sleep problems but the sharper ones like Byakuya and Kyoko seemed a bit more suspicious of your sudden sleeping problems.
As you walked into the office, which was just a big security room, Monokuma turned his chair to face you. There he was, the tall man had the same gleeful smile that he always had and as his red eyes fell upon you it only got wider. "Reason? Of course I have a reason. But even if I didn’t, it wouldn’t matter. You don’t really have a say in weather to come here or not. Lest you want your little secret to be revealed~" Once Monokuma told you this he let out a teasing giggle while he opened his desk and pulled something out. It was a wine bottle, it wasn’t really a surprise since he pretty much always drank it during the morning announcements. But the fact that he was gonna drink while you two talked told you that this might not be a crisis exactly. After fetching two wine glasses, Monokuma walked back to you and poured you two some wine. By this point you had already pulled out a spare chair, you had been in here so many times that you basically knew where everything was. "So tell me Y/N," Monokuma began as he handed you one of the glasses. "What have your classmates been up to? Any noteworthy news?" He took a sip of his wine after he asked you this. As Junkos spy you had to bring her information about whatever was happening in the school. You were simply a double agent, acting as a classmate when you really weren’t. Unfortunately, you had to give this information to her second in command, Monokuma. Ever since you entered the school he had been a constant nuisance, and it didn’t get any better once he started to call upon you almost every day.
"Not really no. Kyoko has shown everyone alter ego," as you started listing any noteworthy events Monokuma let out a huge sigh. "Yes I know that Y/N. I know they have found alter ego, I can put two and two together. I’m not asking you to tell me about stuff I already know, I want the inside information! What’s happening with everyone! Is there conflict? Are there secrets? Quit boring me to death and get on with it!" He took another sip. "....naturally. Celeste has started taking advantage of Hifumis desperate nature. Kiyotaka has pretty much lost it. He’s started acting like Mondo to cope with his death. And he’s gotten very possessive over Alter ego. Hifumi has been as well. Taka seems to be clinging onto the last part of Chihiro and Hifumi just seems to be in love with him." As you explained the situation to him you noticed that Monokumas eyes narrowed slightly at the end of your sentence.
"What did you just say?" The tone of his voice was cold, dead serious and poisonous. You immediately tensed up as you heard him. "Huh? I said that Hifumi seems to be in love with him-" "Him? Did you just refer to Alter ego, the computer program, as a him?" He put down his glass and rose out of his chair, now towering over your sitting form. "Do you know what that is Y/N? Sentiment. Sentiment for the people you’re supposed to be spying on." He grabbed you by the chin and forced you to look at him. There was pure hatred in his eyes. "Don’t forget the reason why you’re here, the reason why you’re still ALIVE right now." The two of you stayed silent for a couple of seconds before Monokuma let go and sat back down. "Now! Continue!" His whole attitude changed as he gave you yet another wide smile while running his hand through his hair.
You continued with your report, or at least tried to. Even if Monokuma changed his attitude that didn’t erase what had just happened. But luckily, you managed to get through all of the things you wanted to say, all while Monokuma nodded along with a smile. "I think that’s about it...I wanted to ask you something though." You said, letting out a big yawn afterwards. "Sure! Ask away doll face." Ignoring the pet name, you continued. "I wanted to ask if you could stop calling me here for mundane reasons, especially at night. I’m not getting enough sleep and Kyoko and Byakuya are getting suspicious. The last thing I would want is to be discovered because of you." As you told him this, Monokuma let out a laugh. "Puhuhuhu. So you’re tired? Why didn’t you say so Y/N?" He smirked as he stood up and grabbed your hand. He pulled you up and started to walk away, much to your protest. "Monokuma- let g- where the hell are we going?" You asked as you tried to pull away to no avail. "We’re going to bed!" As you heard his answer you had to take a second just to process what he just said. To bed? Surely he didn’t mean...was he taking you to his bed? Did he have a bed? But as he walked out of the control room and into the hallway you realised that he was gonna take you all the way to your room, and that was when you started resisting. "Monokuma no, please. What if someone sees us?! I can go there by myself! Just- let go!" You whispered in a panicked manner, but he didn’t listen. He just kept walking. But he stopped once he heard footsteps approaching. Someone was coming, and they were gonna find you!
You were panicking, begging Monokuma to just let go of you and disappear. But it would seem like he was one step ahead of you as he pulled you in closer to his body, pressing you up against him while grappling your waist, and before you realised what had happened your surroundings had changed completely. You were now in your dorm. You didn’t understand how he could do that, how he could just teleport around the school. But you didn’t care right now. You immediately pushed Monokuma away from you. Not enough to make him fall or anything, just enough to distance yourself from him. "Are you crazy!? Are you out of your mind?! Do you realise what could have happened if someone saw us!?" He didn’t even flinch as you yelled at him. He only walked closer and pushed you into your bed. "Ah shush. Is someone a bit cranky from sleep deprivation?" You growled at him but stopped as soon as he laid down in bed next to you. "What are you doing?" You moved away from him slightly but that didn’t help. "What? Cant I share the bed with my favowite stuwdent?" Monokuma grabbed ahold of you and pulled you close to him. You had tried to pry him off until you felt a huge wave of sudden drowsiness wash over you. Your eyelids started to feel heavy, and you struggled to keep yourself awake. It was strange. You were tired sure but not this tired, it was as if it just came out of nowhere. You felt Monokuma stroke your hair as he cooed to you. "Shh shh. Don’t worry, just go to sleep. Puhuhuhu" you didn’t want to fall asleep now. Not when he was here. But you could no longer force yourself to stay awake. You went out like a candle.
That night, Monokuma laid awake watching you. It wasn’t like he needed sleep anyhow. For the next couple of hours he observed your sleeping body, watching you breathe in and out, watching your chest go up and down as the air entered your lungs. You looked so cute when you slept, he’d seen it multiple times but never while he was in the same room as you. And never this closely. He probably never would have if it wasn’t for the wine you drank. You should have kept your eyes on your glass while he refilled it, silly you. He found you so fascinating, and your apparent annoyance with him only made it better. He knew you would blow your cover soon, blow your cover as the masterminds little spy. After that, it would only be a matter of time before 1 of 3 things happened. First scenario, your classmates find out about your betrayal and start hating you. If a murder occurred all of them would believe it was you who murdered the victim and falsely vote on you. After that he could execute everyone while you had to watch. Oh but you, there was no need for you to be executed since you were a spy and everyone else was dead. Then he would get you all to himself, and he could do whatever he wanted with you. Second scenario, your classmates hates you so much that one of them decides to kill you. Oh how much despair he would feel as he watched your lifeless corpse. How your eyes that once were filled with such hope would be completely empty. The thought of it made him exhilarated. He would hate for you to die, he would mourn you for days, and he would make sure whoever killed you would die in a brutal and horrific way. And finally, third scenario. You ended up being the actual blackened in the case and he could watch as you fell into despair and turn to murder. To see someone who would never hurt a fly give in and murder someone, one of your friends, is there anything better?! And ultimately, if you got caught he’d have to be the one to kill you. To execute you.
Three scenarios in which two of them leads to your death. He wished that you survived, but he would be lying if he said that the thought of you, dead, didn’t fill him with so much pain and despair. And that made him all giddy.
But for now, you were here in his arms. As he pulled you closer and sniffed your hair he felt his stomach fill up with butterflies.
A Moment To Breathe
Sunlight burned into their untrained eyes in the best of ways. It hurt, and it was so real. It was the realest thing they had felt in a long time. There was nothing left in their minds but the welcomed high of elation for the taste of freedom. They were free. They embraced the sting in their eyes, the chilled wind on their skin, the smell of smoke in the air… they had survived the killing game of class 78.
Makoto felt like he was floating away, only tethered down by the friends next to him. The giddiness he felt had his heart doing flips; his cheeks burned with how hard he was smiling. It wasn’t until he could really feel the world around him that he understood they won. They won. They lived against all odds. They were ok, they were together.
Their silent processing was broken by a shrill cheer. Aoi threw up her arms, smiling brighter than the real sun, as she ran out the gates of the school.
“Woooooo! We did it!” Aoi spun around, her smile was one that couldn’t be forgotten, “We’re really free! We did it!” she yelled.
“Y-... yeah…” Yasuhiro’s smile grew to match Aoi’s, who was currently jumping up and down in the ruined streets, “Yeah, we did do it…! Holy shit, we’re okay!”
Yasuhiro joined Aoi in deliriously overjoyed laughter. He ran over and threw her into the air by the waist, spinning her in circles as the two celebrated with everything they had to offer.
Makoto heard a hum next to him; glancing to his side he saw Byakuya with a relieved smile on his face- the largest smile Makoto had ever seen on him. It only hit Makoto then, after seeing Byakuya’s joy, that the hum he heard was one of affirmation. It was Byakuya’s own way of showing his excitement, watching the “idiots” of the group revel in the glory of their win.
Toko shuffled her feet towards the two, looking around at their surroundings with a sort of anxious wonder. But there was no denying the excitement she felt too, not with the awkward breathy giggle she had. Makoto wondered what sort of poetry was weaving together in her head to explain this beautiful feeling, if it could even be captured in words.
“Fukawacchi!” Yasuhiro yelled, gently tossing Aoi back to solid ground. He opened his arms up wide for Toko, who flinched and watched him with a slightly guarded look, “C’mere, Fukawacchi!”
“W-wh-what? Why?! What do you- kya!” In no time at all Yasuhiro swept Toko into the air just like he did Aoi, spinning her around in unrelenting excitement.
“Woohoo!” He cheered as Toko screamed for him to put her down, “We’re free, Fukawacchi!” Makoto was about to intervene when Toko’s screams died down and erupted into giggles.
“It’s wonderful, isn’t it?” That soft voice left Makoto feeling ready to face anything so many times back in the game. And now Kyoko’s voice held a gentleness to it that almost made up for all he went through.
“Yeah.” Makoto said, watching as Byakuya approached the group, only to shout in protest as he’s thrown. “I can’t believe it’s real.”
“It’s all because of you, Naegi-kun.” Her voice was so certain that it felt wrong to deny it, “We have you to thank for our happiness, and our future.”
Before he could respond she grabbed his wrist and gently tugged him towards the group. Already he could sense the energy winding down, they’d had a long day - no, they’d had a long month - after all. After getting back to solid ground, Byakuya angrily smoothed out his hair and clothes again. Aoi dropped down so that she was sitting on the floor next to Toko; who was telling Yasuhiro to never pick her up again with an open smile on her face. As though drawn to each other, the group followed suit. Eventually all of them were sitting on the floor, a bunch of teenagers alone together in this Hellish world. The world that had fallen apart in memories they might never get back.
Aoi laid on her back with her hands up in the air, staring at the beams of sunlight that passed through her fingers. Her fingers began to tremble as the adrenaline high wore off, her giggles tapering away. “We did it.” she said again, as though the mantra ensured nothing wrong would ever happen again. “We did it.” her tone flattened, the sky beyond her fingers was red and imposing. Ruined like the rest of the world, but still there.
“We did it.” Aoi said.
The mood was somber after that, no one truly knowing what to say. Or perhaps, they knew it was better to stay silent. They could give that moment away to those who did not make it out with them. Makoto hugged his knees to his chest, observing the fallen buildings around them. The world that was once prosperous was in ruins at their very feet. And with those ruins, there was an eerie silence to match. Earlier, the silence felt like the world stopping for just a second to let them celebrate. But now it felt like cold loneliness, like there was a long journey ahead of them.
“Are we alone?” Yasuhiro asked. Perhaps it was simply the exhaustion… or perhaps it was the somber mood, but he did not sound panicked as he normally would. Instead he was just… stating the obvious in a quiet voice, as though wary of the truth behind it.
“It would seem so.” Byakuya said, “I thought it would be more… hectic out here considering what she showed us.”
Toko scooted closer to Aoi, who placed a hand on her back, “So, what d-d-do... we do now?”
“Yes.” Kyoko turned to Makoto, the trust in her eyes never wavered, “What should we do now, Naegi-kun?”
Everyone, even Byakuya and Toko, awaited Makoto’s word. They would not soon forget how he dragged them out of the pits of despair by their wrists. His words may be naive platitudes at times, but now more than ever they needed something to look forward to.
“We find our future, of course!”
And Makoto was certain that they would find it. He felt that so long as they were together they could find a hope that was tangible and real. Something that could leave them feeling like anything was possible. Forward was the only way to go, and they would walk that path together. With the unity they’ve formed from their experiences, how could anything hurt them ever again? They would function as each other's shield, sword, and support. They would spark the new age of hope.
"I am not putting any amount of bleach in my body, Hagakure."
... So then why… Why were they stuck arguing again?!
Bickering had become somewhat of a routine as this point and it certainly didn’t help that the group was almost never apart. Sure, back in the school they felt claustrophobic and forced together, but now they didn’t even have the comfort of a private dorm. They had to pile into the worn down beds inside of ruinous apartment buildings that were just barely holding together.
Makoto watched from where he was confined to bed rest as Yasuhiro dragged his hands over his face in frustration. “Togamicchi, I promise it’s not going to kill you.”
“Oh yes.” Byakuya had his arms tightly crossed, glaring at Yasuhiro and the container of bleach in his hands, “Just like you promise your ‘predictions’ hold any sort of accuracy. And just like you swear all those ‘artifacts’ you bought were not scams.”
“Ah, c’mon! My mom taught me this trick, are you calling Ma a liar?!”
“Well. She is teaching her son to drink bleach, apparently-”
“It’s not a lot of bleach!”
“Honestly, I thought you weren’t moronic enough to try and kill us only after the killing game, but I can’t say I’m surprised.”
Makoto laid back against his makeshift pillow, letting the bickering fade away into background noise for his thoughts. The argument wasn’t going anywhere, they were just talking in circles again and again without making real progress. Just like how every time they travelled it felt like they put no distance between themselves and the school.
It’s odd, isn’t it? They argued so much, and for what? Why were they still doing this? Makoto felt like they should have moved past all this the moment they stepped out of the school. They understood each other now, and they were the only allies around. And yet… the arguing continued. Why?
It almost felt like… they had never really escaped. It was an odd feeling, like something rotten was chewing at Makoto’s heart, but he truly felt stuck in the story Junko crafted for them. She had thrown them onto a dizzying rollercoaster of highs and lows, where the tone never held steady long enough for them to feel okay. Junko had created her own never ending cycle of despair and hope, a cycle that pushed both sides to the extremes.
They escaped the school, but not the cycle.
But Junko was the creator of the cycle. Shouldn't it have fallen with her? Why was her work still terrorizing them after her defeat? How much longer would they have to fight? Makoto knew the world wasn't ready… but he felt so underwhelmed with how little impact their win seemed to have. It was less that Junko created despair… and more like Junko was despair's foot soldier.
"A-a-actually, Hagakure is right…" Toko piped in, letting out a little "Eep!" when Byakuya glared at her.
She continued to speak, "I-it's not that I doubt you Byakuya-sama! But I-I did research for a novel and…"
Silence… and then Byakuya uncrossed his arms. Makoto could feel the hope part of the cycle begin to work, a high to combat the low. And then another low would follow after. It would never end, despair and hope could not live without each other after all.
That was life.
There was a reason the two went hand in hand though. Makoto watched the group continue to laugh and tease each other as they worked to purify some drinking water. They were getting along just fine, like lovely friends.
“What are you smiling for?” Kyoko asked him, it wasn’t accusatory, just curious.
Makoto let out a light laugh, admiring the way his friends all seemed attentive to him and his emotions, “Oh. It’s nothing.”
His friends often said that they needed him to combat despair, but Makoto needed them back just as much. In a way, they had created their own cycle. A much more hopeful one, one that consisted of them lifting each other up. And if surviving the low points ahead of them meant getting to see his friends this at ease… Makoto would face despair every day, head on. He had to; after all, he made a promise to face the world. Not just him… all of them.
It’s easy to forget things aren't perfect when you're so excited about winning. But just because things aren't perfect doesn't mean you won’t be ok.
Chizuru Town: The Dark and the Cold
TW: perverts TW: Death TW: Blood TW: Dragon Raja LMAO
Caesar and the MC should have been best friends. I kid you not. Revamped Story Quest in Chizuru below the cut!
In Siberia, winter hung long and low. Just as the tropic summer never seemed to end, the frigid canopy of arctic air never really left the place. For a few months, the sun didn’t rise over the horizon. At the peak of what should have been day, you only saw the glow of what looked more like the start of the dawn, before the sun rolled over and fell back under the horizon. Darkness descended in full and the stars were your only source of light unless you made your own.
The cold was so oppressive that it froze the sea. At night, instead of waves crashing on a golden shore, the ocean groaned like someone dying. Only in the summer, when the ice and permafrost softened, did you see hints of green. But they were always short. Eventually, the winter returned. Those who wanted to pretend it would not return were caught out by the fierce wind, unprepared, and froze to death in seconds.
Darkness and cold were embedded in you, MC, more than the weather. You understand the harshness of the world. Even though Caesar was doing his best to ‘play by the rules’ that icy law of ‘survival of the most deadly' was creeping up to surround all of you, like frost on a window. It had swallowed up Kitty and now Ms. Makoto. Only Caesar, Chu Zihang, and Lu Mingfei were left.
If that icy law dared threaten them, you would not hold back or play by any rules.
Caesar glimpsed this reality and tacitly acknowledged that Kitty’s death and Makoto’s offering to serve as bait for the gangsters was not in his game plan. He was looking outside down the drainage pipe through the hole in the wall of the dilapidated locker room. He could see the street below.
A heavy rain storm had moved over the city of Chizuru. EVA had darkened the city to help you escape the eyes of the Hydra underworld gang, but soon her grip would lose out to Kaguya, the Hydra’s own supercomputer.
Below, Caesar saw cars parked, engines still running, lights still on. Doubtless, these gangsters thought this would be a quick and easy job. Plus, the headlamps of cars served as good illumination. So they didn’t worry about them getting stolen. After all, they ran this town. No one dared touch their cars for fear of getting killed over it. Caesar nodded once. “Let’s see how good these kids are at racing.”
Kids. The word makes you want to spit acid. They were quite young but had nearly killed you countless times!
Caesar turned to look at you, gauging your reaction. “They are just kids. I hold the adults behind them more responsible.”
You stare back at him in silence but your expression is blank, listening. Your mind offers no arguments against the facts. Caesar’s logic seeps through, melting your frozen emotions. They had pursued you relentlessly, as if under strict orders not to leave until you were confirmed dead. Some of their weapons were military grade. It was true that children -- sixteen to twenty year olds -- wouldn't have been able to acquire such immense firepower without some sort of help from a higher authority.
Caesar’s eyes drop from your face. “Is that a local high school uniform?”
“Yes,” you say, your voice unexpectedly hoarse.
“Change out of it into one of the cheongsams here. I’ll be taking the car and I don’t want to be seen in a sports car with someone who looks like a high schooler. They might mistake me for one of those perverts!”
Even now, he was thinking of something like this? He could have escaped immediately but was concerned about his image? You quickly obey, snatching one of the red and gold cheongsams with a Chinese dragon embroidery off the hangers and stepping into the dressing room.
As you remove our clothes, you hear Caesar say. “Fold it up neatly, so we can return it to whomever you got it from.”
Your eyes widen in disbelief. Well, of course, you needed to steal it. But you never thought once of taking it back. As you slip into the cheongsam, the smooth fabric falls over your skin. A mirror lays against the wall and you use it to pull the zipper up in the back. The cheongsam clings to your form like a second skin.
Caesar wasn’t just following the rules. If he was just following the rules, he wouldn’t have cared about any of this.
You had told Caesar about your experience in watching your young friends get killed. He wanted to get back at those people, not become one of them by killing anyone young himself. No matter how hard things got, Caesar was the same because he believed in what he did and required everyone around him to rise to the same standard of morality.
You step out of the dressing room and Caesar nods. “Alright, let’s go. Zihang, you can pick whatever granny car suits you best. I’ll be in the Black Viper!” He grinned broadly.
“Will Ms. Makoto be alright?” Lu Mingfei asked.
Chu Zihang nodded slightly. “She wasn’t seen with us. And they’re under orders. If they were going to hurt her, they would have done so right then and there. She’ll be fine.”
“Excuse me, my lady.” Caesar bends over to pick you up and keep you out of the dirty water.
You take the pipe two streets down and then hurry back to the running cars. Even now, Caesar opens the door for you first and then slides over the hood to the other side. The car interior is shiny and black with an LED touch panel lighting it up like a spaceship. In the center console, you spot a bag of white powder.
“Heroin?” You ask.
He points to the door on the other side of you. “Put on your seatbelt. How did you know it was heroin?”
“We used such medicine in Russia, I should know how to identify it.”
“To you, it’s medicine. Here it’s illegal drugs used to hype up the gangsters and also to make money. No wonder they were so crazy and could afford such vehicles.” Caesar opened a fuse box and started pulling out wires. While he worked, he asked, “Have you ever been in a car like this?”
“No.” You say, tucking the high school uniform under the seat. “Where I’m from, the only way to get around is either by ship or by dogsled.”
He grins. “Good. You’re about to get the ride of your life!”
“Ah, in return, then I will take you dog sledding.”
“You mean it?” Caesar immediately whipped his head around. His eyes glowed with excitement and joy, like a child being told they were going to Disney World. He was so enthusiastic that you felt embarrassed. In that sudden smile, you realized that he was actually quite good looking.
“It’s… It’s not all that special.”
“What would be more special than riding on a dogsled with a beautiful lady?” He sat up and put on his own seatbelt while continuing to work on the car’s controls.
The car isn’t free to move however. There are vehicles parked around, blocking your way out. But you don’t see Chu Zihang or Lu Mingfei in any of them.
“Beautiful?” You look at him with a confused expression. No one had ever called you beautiful before. You shake your head. “You’re just saying that to make me feel better about Kitty.”
His eyes narrow and he suddenly grins in a way that reminds you of a devil. “No, this is how I get back at them for Kitty.” He yanked on the gear shift between the leather seats and slammed down on the accelerator. The car leaped backwards and smashed into the blue Porsche behind them, folding the front end of it.
He shifted again, this time the car leaped forward right into a Mini Cooper. Caesar, eyes shining in furious joy, turns the wheel and rolls over a custom green vintage Buick to their left. The car you were in had turned into a vicious beast in his hands. It smashed doors, windows, mirrors and headlamps until you were surrounded by destruction.
“Hey MC,” He laughed, “Check out the rearview mirror.”
He reaches up and turns it so you can see. Behind you, the boys all run out of the cafe, holding their heads and wailing in despair at the millions of dollars in damage Caesar had caused. He watches with clear delight as your face breaks into a sunny grin.
Suddenly, a burst of gunfire sends the boys scattering. The squeal of tires is heard and you see Chu Zihang and Lu Mingfei speed away in a Red Viper. Caesar clicks his tongue. “Why does he have to pick the same car…?” He laments.
The engine roars as Caesar commands the car to push the front end of the Mini Cooper ahead of you and shove it out of the way. But he’s still looking back at the young men who are scrambling to find undamaged cars and climb inside.
“There’s a lovely mountain road near here. With really nice curves. You don’t get sick do you?”
“You mean motion sickness? No, I’ve been on ships before. I don’t get dizzy.” You look behind you into shining headlights. The boys are prepared to give chase. It wouldn’t be much of a fun race if Caesar got too far ahead. He wanted them to see how much better a driver he was.
He let the headlights of the Maserati behind him get just close to kiss his bumper, then downshifted and floored it. MC squeaks and is pressed back against the seat. The headlights of the car, so close one moment, faded quickly behind you, like the other cars were standing still. The main highway up the mountains climbed steeply into a curve ahead but Caesar didn’t tap the brakes. The engine kept up the steady purr and took the turns perfectly smoothly.
It felt like flying, rising into the sky on a great beast. The trees passed you by in a blur and the guard rail looked like a shiny silver ribbon in the headlights. The feeling of delight tickles your chest and you giggle.
It was such an unfamiliar feeling, one you shouldn’t be having right now. Yet, now it was being teased out of you. It was as though the sun had peeked over the horizon in midwinter. Caesar had actually won. In the side mirror that remained from the demolition derby earlier, you see the lights of Chizuru burst back into bloom. The gangsters had returned to town and left you alone.
You’d never met anyone like Caesar. So you didn’t know it was possible to live like he did and still be able to survive. You doubted him at every turn and you were forced to reconsider again and again. This world that created predators like you could also create someone else. Someone who survived bloodlessly, cleanly. Something like this was mythical, like a unicorn.
Or a dragon.
A musical tone sounded in the car. It was coming from Caesar’s pocket. He pulled out his cellphone and held it to his ear. You don’t know what was said, but his expression suddenly changed from one of breezy confidence to blazing fury! He slams the brakes hard and the car spins in a complete one eighty to face the opposite direction.
“Did they say the name Makoto Aso?”
The hairs rise on the back of your neck.
Caesar takes a deep breath and lets it out but his hand is gripping the steering wheel so tightly that the leather cover squeals under the pressure.
You can’t help but think that she’s dead, that the gangsters had killed her.
“What did he say last?” Caesar asked.
A pause.
“Oh.. he won’t have long to wait to get his car back.” Caesar’s voice was low and his smile was threatening.
Was it nice to stand in the sun for a while? It sure felt nice. You say goodbye to it in your heart. You would never see it again. The world had made its true nature known. It was darkness and winter.
“I’m afraid we’re going to have to cut our joyride a little short. They have Ms. Makoto.”
“Is she dead?”
“No. Hold tight.”
You let your breath out in a whoosh and, for a second, you think that maybe there would be another chance to end this bloodlessly. The thought pops into your head and then disappears like a comet, a last glimmer of hope before you change your mind. No, it's really over. These people were not going to let you go.
Caesar observed the light leave your eyes and picked up the phone again. “Mingfei, tell Zihang to take you a few blocks away from the Cafe. Use the back entrance he used before, if possible. Find her and rescue her, I’ll buy you time. Mingfei, be ready to provide us cover fire. Yes, I know you only have one gun left! That will be enough. You’re a good shooter, even by Cassell standards. You’ll outshoot those boys easily.”
He was still trying.. But the icy cold had gripped your heart again and you could no longer believe him. They’d been outgunned and now outsmarted. As you return to town, you see that the cars that had been pursuing you turned back, not out of respect for Caesar’s driving skills, but to create a barrier between you and the cafe. Sitting on the hoods of those cars were the workers at the Cafe, still in their cheongsams, shivering in the rain, serving as human shields.
Ms. Makoto was on the roof of the building that was set ablaze. It wasn’t a steel structure but made from old wood construction. So not even the driving rain could put it out. The wind ruffled her skirt as she stood on the edge of the building. The heat must have been terrible. If you don’t hurry, she would either burn to death or jump to her death.
You don't look at Caesar. You’re still, as if your whole body were completely frozen. He was not a magical unicorn or a mighty dragon. He’d just underestimated his opponent.
The man in the striped suit who had been caught stealing Makoto’s panties danced on top of a van in sheer glee at seeing you again, a shotgun in his hands. The gangsters cheered and chanted in victory. Rather than being the weak person you thought he was, he was the one who had ratted Makoto out. He’d hid in the locker you’d shoved him in, perfectly aware that she had helped you escape. He’d just pretended to be intimidated.
He was actually the leader of the whole group.
“Maybe I should have let you have that Beretta.” Caesar’s voice was cold.
You huff once through your nose as your only acknowledgement. It was too late to regret now. Part of you feels sad that you were right about needing to kill those gangsters. But you don’t request he give you a weapon. There was a principle in hunting that you don’t shoot until you’re very close to your quarry, close enough to see the pattern of light in the beast's eyes. That meant a lot of time, and a lot of patience. The goal was one shot, one kill. Instant. The deer or elk would drop without a struggle.
If you rushed in now and poured your violence onto them, Caesar would have reason to doubt you because you didn’t give him time to implement his plan. You feel bad for Ms. Makoto, but you’re going to sit on your hands.
After all, if Caesar could pull a miracle out of this, maybe he would truly be a magician.
But if things went wrong, and Caesar’s life was at risk, he could put forth no further arguments against your actions and you would be free from objections, not only now, but in the future as well.
So when he says, “Stay in the car.” you nod obediently.
Caesar has parked just out of range of their bullets. Even if they had more high powered weaponry, they were unskilled and would likely miss at this distance. Caesar takes his own gun and shoots through the windshield of the car. It shattered into a spiderweb of cracks and now you can’t see anything. He uses the butt of the gun to make a hole in the glass to see through. The rain pours in, running over the leather interior.
Caesar’s phone rang again. “Mingfei?” This time he put it on speaker.
“Yes, he’s on the phone with us again.”
“Translate. Don’t leave anything out. Understand?”
“Okay. Is… MC alright?”
“She’s more than fine. With me right now. What is he saying?”
The man was on the phone, seated cross legged on the roof of the van, smiling like an imp.
Mingfei translated: “He says he was grateful to the young master of the Gattuso family for bringing his car back.”
“Tell him I’ll bury him in a coffin full of ladies’ underwear.”
“Boss, don’t make threats in this situation, okay? They have Ms. Makoto!”
“I’m aware. Just translate.” Caesar was calm, focussed.
Mingfei sighed. “No need for you to worry about me, Gattuso-kun, I’m already prepared.”
The man in the striped suit produced a pair of silk panties from his pocket, pressed them to his nose and inhaled deeply. “Ah! Ms. Makoto really smells pleasant!”
Your eyelids stretch a little wider. His lack of fear was chilling you even deeper, like an icy wind over an already frozen sea. Without moving your head, your eyes shift to Caesar.
This man wants Caesar to come to him. He wanted to fight. There had to be a good reason for his bravado. However, Caesar was falling for it. You could see the veins pop into relief on his neck and forehead. And just like with everything Caesar decides, you know, deep down, there’s no point in talking him out of it. If he turned around now, Ms. Makoto would surely die.
Caesar’s eyes scanned the defensive line, moving over the huddled victims on the hoods of the cars. Now it was Caesar, not you, who gave off the killer’s aura, like a bull elk, stamping the ground and tossing his mighty antlers.
He lifted his shoulders in a deep sigh. You relax your hands that had begun to grip your skirt, a habit that hadn’t appeared in you since you were ten years old.
“Who’s giving you orders?”
“Orders? Does Akabe need orders? Hahaha! No one instructs Akabe except the Lord Takeda Shingen himself!” The man is practically falling over himself in glee.
“Whatever that man is offering, the Gattuso family offers three times as much!” Caesar said with measured calm. “I guarantee that you will get the money alive.”
“Hehehehehe! Luckily, that Lord has already told me what kind of family the Gattuso family is, otherwise, I would have really been tempted by that price!” The suited man, Akabe, suddenly stopped laughing, like a switch had been turned off. “I’ll get the money alive, but I’ll be shot in the head before I can spend a cent of it… right, Gattuso-kun…?”
Caesar had nothing to say, since he was right. The people who blackmailed money from the Gattusos never lived long enough to spend it. He finally gave in. “Then what do you want?”
“You have a gun in your hand, right? Use the gun to shoot yourself in the calf and wrist. We know that you, Gattuso-kun, are a Class A hybrid, and Chu kun is also a Class A hybrid, and we’re too scared to get close when heroes like you are able-bodied.” Akabe said smoothly. “We don’t want to kill you either, our mission is to bring you to that Lord, for disposal.”
His words fell on your ears and they stirred you inside. Right now, Chu Zihang was running around a burning building. Mingfei Lu was going to start a gunfight, one against dozens, and Caesar and Chu Zihang were the targets. They said nothing about you. It’s like you weren’t even here. They can’t see you through the broken glass so you unbuckle your seatbelt.
“Wait.” Caesar says.
The man in the suit scowls. “Wait for what?”
“Mingfei! Why did you translate that!” Caesar hissed.
“What? I wasn’t supposed to?” Mingfei squeaked.
You slip out of your cheongsam, not caring if Caesar saw or not. His morality no longer applied. Following it was obviously going to get them all killed. “Tell him you’re going to offer me as a payment for your lives. It will buy you more time.”
“How do you know you won’t shoot me in the head once I’m unable to fight back? Translate that Mingfei.”
“Because I’m a man of my word!” Akabe said.
“How can I trust the word of a man who sneaks into the women’s locker room and steals underwear?”
You’re putting the schoolgirl uniform back on, buttoning the white shirt. “Give me your knife…” you whisper. Much to your delight, he hands it over. The word ‘Dictator’ is etched into the side and you use it to slice off the hem of the skirt, leaving just enough fabric for decency.
“It’s just entertainment, who doesn’t have a hobby? I just like the fabrics that smell good after coming off a girl’s body. It’s the same reason you like cigars, Gattuso-kun!” The man shamelessly takes several deep whiffs of his newly pilfered underpants.
“Okay.” You said confidently, “Tell him that you’ll offer me as payment instead. It doesn’t matter if he accepts or not, we're just buying time for Chu Zihang, right?”
He hesitates, his eyes flicking towards you.
You lean on the center console. “I promise, I won’t do anything. I trust you to handle this.”
He nods slowly. “Then. How about I offer you a fresh cigar?” He says to Akabe.
You open the passenger side door and step out. Caesar made it clear that he wasn’t lying when he said you were beautiful and you felt that, if you could stake your odds on anything, it would be his sincerity. After all, Caesar had seen many beautiful women before you. He had a beautiful fiancee. You just had to make it work so that you were irresistible to this man.
While browsing the comic book store, you picked up a manga. In the first panels, a girl walked in a school uniform, holding her black bag in front of her. Her hands were clasped, her arms framing her oversized chest, the fabric wrinkling just so, to show the outline. In the next panel, a gentle breeze lifts the hem of her skirt, showing a peek of the hem of her panties. Lu Mingfei saw what you were looking at and snatched it away, screeching that it was inappropriate.
You had no doubt that this man read comics like that though.
So that’s why you cut the hem of the skirt and when you stepped out of the car, you held your hands in front of you, just like the girl in the manga. The rain soaked you in minutes and, though you still were far away, the fabric soaked up the water, and clung to your young body as you walked slowly.
Your black hair was loose, falling over your shoulders and sticking to your shiny face. All the boys in front of the Internet Cafe were in stunned disbelief. If that weren’t enough, the universe conspired with you and the wind came and lifted your hair and the hem of your skirt. The eyes of every boy followed that hem, entranced to see nothing but skin and then, a tiny, peek of black lace.
Chu Zihang only knew your size. He didn’t care about the style of women’s underwear. He just reached into the vending machine, grabbed what was nearest and tossed it to you, unaware that he was handing you sexy lace.
The man in the striped suit suddenly ran his sleeve over his mouth and chin to clear his drool.. You could no longer hear the translation, but from the look of his wide eyes and his breathless gasping in the phone, you figured you’d done a good enough job.
He screeched at the boys who snapped out of their trances and hurried to get behind you. He was roaring at them, even pointing his gun at them, making sure they knew that you were his personal prize. Once you reached the van, he reached up to you and helped you climb on top of the van to sit with him, all the way, screeching at the boys below you, who averted their eyes obediently.
He wrapped one arm around your waist and sneered at Gattuso some more before turning to lick your cheek and smell your neck. His eyes are wild as he talks on the phone, laughing, gleefully delighted. He was talking rapidly now. Though you couldn’t understand, it was clear he thought he’d won and won beyond his wildest dreams!
Then, he suddenly stops. His smile fades and he turns to you. He asks a single question and you hear the name, “Chu Zihang.”
Then a sudden explosion! Your eyes rise as the flames have exploded on the rooftop! Where was Chu Zihang? Did he die? Why did this weirdo say his name? Were you too late?”
The man grabs you and presses the shotgun to your back. He’s screaming at Caesar now, fiercely gleeful, but not in a way that was from a pleasant heart, but from the heart of a predator who had his prey.
The headlamps on the black Viper flash in the dark and the engine roars to life.. A blast of suppressive gunfire streams out from where Lu Mingfei is hidden, just as the car is accelerating straight towards you.
The gangsters and their hostages scatter and fall to the ground, but they’re too stunned to react. They don’t know whether to find the unseen gunman or fire on the car that’s nearly on them!
The man in the suit sits still, holding you close, gun to your back. His eyes are now on Caesar.
Caesar is crouched on the hood of the car, his long blond hair bristling on his face, a cold determination in his eyes. But those eyes were no longer blue.
They were a blazing, solid gold!
The boys are out of time to pick their target. Now Caesar pulls his own gun and fires on them from the hood of the raging car. Now they have to flee both the gunfire and the charging vehicle!
Caesar’s voice rings out like a church bell. “Makoto! Jump! I’ll catch you!”
The sight of his heroic pose, roar of the flames, the gunfire, and the screams -- They should have been traumatic. But now, they’re beautiful to you. If only Caesar had been at Black Swan Bay. How many people could he have saved? If you had fallen from the cliff in that case, he would have caught you, right?
An unnatural burst of wind surrounds the car and launches Caesar from it. His eyes are clear, straight ahead as he straightens his body like a rocket, easily clearing four stories. His hand is reaching out to Ms. Makoto. She jumps to meet him, completely trusting.
Lu Mingfei is keeping the boys below pinned. Nothing can stop him. He was going to do it.
A cold laughter sounds in your ear.
Among the hundreds of shotgun blasts, a shotgun very close to you flashed. Dozens of lead pellets formed a sheet to catch Caesar in their deadly net. Caesar reacted instantly, arcing his body to avoid the shot. The pellets shredded his shirt, barely missing his neck.
But he had made a fatal mistake. He flailed desperately, brushing the fingers of Ms. Makoto as she fell past him.
Makoto Asou slapped the ground heavily. The flooding on the street lifted up in a splash that was stained with the red of her blood. In the next moment, the out of control Black Viper smashed into her body. Caesar landed on the car as it and drove her into the front of the building. Her blood spattered on the windshield as it crashed through wall after wall, disappearing inside.
“NO!” Caesar’s desperate cry, a wail of fear and despair, made you close your eyes.
You knew that feeling so intimately, as if you and Caesar now inhabited the same brain. You lost Vera just like this -- right in front of you. Only, you didn’t have the ideals like Caesar. The world wasn’t really supposed to be a certain way, it’s just the way it was. Still, you can’t help but feel sad for Makoto and for the shiny star of hope that Caesar had been and never would be again.
What would he do now, now that he had lost the fight like you did back then? Would his eyes harbor the darkness of Christmas over Northern Siberia, the Winter Solstice, where there was no sunlight to appear for another month and a half?
You lift your eyes to the overcast sky. You could no longer see the stars of Chizuru either.
Ahhhh I know this is super quick, but can you do a part 2 for the new Gundham scenario. Few days later you are snuggling in bed at night after you guys “caught up” *wink wink* you guys are just talking and he looks at the scar his snake gave you. He feels so guilty & disgusted with himself. But you see it as a reminder of the day you found him.
Yeah sure! I love it when people ask for part 2s!
Reunited with Despair Part 2-Gundha Tanaka x Reader
It had been a tough battle.
The Future Foundation was extremely upset with you for doing what you had instead of alerting them. Some of the higher officials believed you had been turned to the side of Despair. Thankfully Makoto and the others vouched for you, saying that this proved the Remnants could be redeemed, and that they should give their project a second thought.
You weren’t sure what project they were talking about, but after a bit more arguing, an agreement was reached. Gundham would be kept under surveillance for a prolonged period of time until it can be proven or disproven he had actually changed.
And thus here you were, several days later, nuzzled close into your boyfriend’s chest. He had been given a pair of his old clothes and was now wearing those. His new scar and tattoo remained, however, and he was not proud of them.
Over the past few days, Gundham filled you in on what the Future Foundation had failed to, mainly how your entire class had been turned into minions for Junko Enoshima, the Ultimate Despair, and that Chiaki Nanami, your class representative and the one everyone in the class loved, was brutally murdered for all of them to see, thus being the catalyst of their transformation.
At the moment, however, you were simply snuggled closely to your lover, something both of you had missed. His arms were wrapped tightly around you, almost as if he let you go you would disappear. You had your face buried in his scarf, arms around his shoulders. The two of you had been this way for at least an hour already, but neither of you had plans to move any time soon.
“It feels so wonderful to have you in my arms again, my fallen angel.” Gundham murmured. “I have missed you so.”
You looked up and smiled lovingly at him. “I have too, Gundham. God, so much.” You agreed. “I have to admit, I was really worried the Future Foundation wouldn’t listen.”
“I told you we would work everything out, did I not?” Your lover said, chuckling softly as he lightly kissed your neck.
You giggled and nodded. “You did. I should never doubt the Overlord of Ice, should I?”
A low rumbling laugh was heard. “Of course not! There is nothing that gets past the All Seeing Eye!”
You laughed softly as you continued to hold him lovingly. You sighed. “I hope the rest of our class is alright.” You mumbled. “They were our friends, and I love them. I hope they can be redeemed like you.”
He smiled sadly and kissed the top of your head. “All we can do is hope, unfortunately.” He muttered. “However I do believe we will see them again one day in their normal state.”
You looked up at him gratefully and pecked his cheek. “Thank you Gundham. I feel a lot better now.”
He nodded and smiled softly, brushing your hair behind your ear. When he did, he suddenly froze. Your shirt had fallen below your shoulder, and had revealed the scar left behind by Gundham’s snake. His smile fell to a frown as he gently caressed the wound. “I am so very sorry, my queen.” He whispered. “I am truly a wretched being to have left such a heinous mark on a sacred creature such as yourself.”
You furrowed your brow in confusion until you followed his gaze down to the snake bite. You smiled gently. “Gundham. It’s fine, really.” You tried to assure him. “You patched me up nicely, and when we made it back to the Future Foundation they checked for infections and did all they could. It doesn’t even hurt anymore.”
You boyfriend sigh. “I am aware of that, my sparrow. I am very grateful to the Foundation for healing you, and am relieved you no longer feel any pain.” He lightly ran his hand across your shoulder. “But...you should never have been afflicted with such pain to begin with. I am to blame, and I do not deserve to be forgiven.”
“Gundham...” You reached up and cradled his face. “It isn’t your fault. You weren’t yourself. And you saved me, didn’t you?” You smiled. “Even Makoto is saying it’s pretty much a miracle that happened. Despair isn’t normally that easy to escape.”
Gundham didn’t meet your eyes. “I suppose, but-”
“But nothing.” You interrupted him, looking sternly at him. “You broke out of a brainwashed state of despair that Junko Enoshima, the Ultimate Despair herself caused you to be in in order to save me.” You gently ran your fingers through his hair, and he let out a soft sigh. “So please don’t blame yourself, my dark king.”
Gundham finally met your gaze, still looking unsure. “...While what you say is true, my fallen love....I still feel cursed for having played a part in your misery.”
You chuckled softly and shook your head. “It’s not even misery, Gundham.” You told him. He furrowed his brow in confusion, so you continued, “You see this mark here?” You lifted your shirt up slightly to reveal a light gash.
Gundham’s eyes widened. “How did you receive that, my love?!” He asked, looking at you worriedly.
You smiled sadly. “I told you that I was attacked on the day the tragedy took place, right? It was by some rioter. Well, that’s what this is.” You placed your shirt back down. “I always called that mark a reminder of the day the world went to hell. The day I lost everything.” You looked to him. “The day I lost you.”
The breeder frowned and looked to the snake bite again. “And what will this mark remind you of, my sparrow?” He asked you quietly.
You grinned and leaned up, pressing your lips against his and closing your eyes. Gundham returned the kiss, placing his hand on the back of your head and holding you lovingly. When you pulled away from the kiss you placed your forehead on his. “It’ll remind me of the day I found you.” You whispered.
Your lover smiled for the first time since he remembered your wound. “I see. That is a good line, my queen. I would expect nothing less from you.” He leaned over and kissed the wound lightly. “I suppose I shall not place so much blame on myself then. I still feel guilt, but I will listen to you, my love.”
You smiled and laid your head on his chest. “Good. Now be quiet and cuddle me.”
The breeder laughed and nodded. “Of course, my queen.”
~~~
I do love when people want part 2s, but I cant always think of a lot to make them as long as I normally do, so I hope you don’t mind it being a bit shorter than usual!

//hello!! it's here!! it's my first fic, so it's not at my full potential yet! i had a lot of trouble with toko and syo. i tried my best to...at least remove the sneezing thing, but i know it's not perfect and i'm hoping to improve in the future! the ending is sort of rushed, as i was milking the last of motivation and ideas!! definitely not proof-read BAHHAHA
Byakuya Togami's Trial
Chihiro was dead. It was almost surreal, everyone promised not to kill anyone else. Yet it was in such a gruesome way. He was found in the girl’s locker room, which is strange, since he discovered to be a boy. Surely Monokuma knew about it, he knew practically everything about them.
Everyone was seated in their respectful places in the trial room. Kiyotaka looked the most nervous, but everyone looked the same. Who wouldn’t be? Chihiro was found strung up by his wrists and neck, “bloodlust” written in his own blood on the wall. And someone took the time to do that. Who would even want to hurt Chihiro? Sure, he’s an easy target, he wouldn’t have fought back, but he was the nicest one here.
“Let’s go over the rules once mo-” Monokuma had started, the bear sitting in his “judge seat.” But he was quickly interrupted by Byakuya, “Shut it. We’re starting.” That wasn’t unlike him, but he had a small smile on his face, almost like he was excited to start the trial. Who the hell would be excited to discuss one of our dead friend’s death? And convict someone and send them to their own death. “Very well! Since Togami thinks that he’s the judge, we shall start!!”
Of course the discussion went to how Chihiro even got to the girl’s locker room. Monokuma had stated that he did know that he was a boy, so it would’ve been impossible for him to get into the room on his own. “Obviously he was dead before he even went into the girl’s locker room,” Byakuya started, “then strung him up onto the wall. Doesn’t the position of his body look familiar, Makoto?” He looked over at the small boy, who perked up at his name.
Yes, it did look familiar. Makoto had seen similar positioning in the book that Byakuya showed him in the library. The cases with Genocide Jack. But Genocide Jack wasn’t here. He couldn’t be. As soon as Makoto mentioned his name, Byakuya looked over at Toko, who seemed to have almost burst a blood vessel.
“Genocide Jack is a lot closer than we think, Makoto,” he hummed, his hand resting on his chin. Toko looked like she wanted to jump over her table to kick his ass, but she was starting to panic. “Y-you promised n-not to tell anyone, B-Byakuya!” It had only hardened the case that Toko was Genocide Jack. On cue, from the sudden conviction and stress that she had been forced to endure, her eyes rolled back as she fell onto the floor.
Makoto had jolted up to help her up, which Togami gripped his arm tightly. Toko had started to stand back up, but she looked so different. This wasn’t Toko, it couldn’t be. She had flashes of both anger and slight arousal as she started laughing hysterically. Her voice radiated throughout the trial room, high pitched and unnerving. Her laughter soon died down to small chuckles and giggles, her wild eyes looking at Makoto. Well, it looked like she was looking at him, but her eyes seem to not have acknowledged him. “You caaaallled? Master has called me! Ooooh!! I’m guessing it was about me, huh huh huh?” Her voice sounded completely different compared to Toko’s quiet, stuttering voice.
Once Byakuya started explaining how he found out about Genocide Jack, she seemed confused. “That’s what they call me? I’m not some guy! Genocide Jill, or Syo would do for me!!” Her sentence followed with her cackling laughter. Tok- Syo, was definitely confused when everyone started to convict her of being the murderer. “Whaaat? No way! Makoto! You should see a pattern of my kills!” Of course she went to Makoto. But she was right. She only killed boys. But once Byakuya stated that Chihiro was yes, indeed a boy, she almost looked disappointed. “Awhh!! Now I wish I killed him! But I didn’t! I don’t use those weapons! Plus, an electrical cord?” Again, she was right. All the pictures consisted of the boys being pinned up by scissors.
Makoto was about to state that she didn’t have any, but it was shot down when she already had two scissors in her hands. Well, now the suspicion went to Byakuya. He was the only one to know of Genocide Jack, besides Makoto, who had an alibi. Togami looked like he was about to snap, but clicked his tongue. “Obviously I couldn’t have done it. I saw Mondo leaving the girl’s locker room,” that sentence brought Mondo’s attention. “You fucking strung Chihiro up?!” Thankfully Sakura was within arms reach of Mondo, because he was about to fucking kill Byakuya.
“I simply wanted to make things interesting. You wouldn’t want a boring trial, now would you?” He still had a cool smile on his face, but his back was tensing from the sudden threat of Mondo actually getting to him. “Why the fuck would you do that?!” Owada’s voice started getting furious and loud. Kyoko put one of her gloved hands up, her eyes glaring at Byakuya with clear disgust before saying that we should continue the trial before times up.
Now everyone looked over at Mondo, who looked extremely guilty. Before people even began to shoot questions at him, Kiyotaka’s voice triumphed over theirs. “N-no way! Mondo would never! We’re bros, he’s not that kind of person!! What kind of people are you?!” Mondo looked just as astonished at Taka defending him, especially in such an aggressive manner. It was very unlike him. Mondo wanted to confess so badly, but something inside him, anxiety and fear prevented him from doing so. But all the evidence started pointing to him. Celeste said she saw Chihiro late at night with a workout bag, how Mondo said the correct colour of the tracksuit, how he was strong enough to swing that weight at him. It was all clicking into place, and now looking horrible for Mondo.
But it didn’t make sense. Would Chihiro be able to die from one swing? There was only one head wound, quite a bit of blood, but would he be able to die? Or simply be knocked out. Mondo wasn’t the...brightest of the bunch, so would be able to know that he didn’t actually kill him? Kyoko had the same thought, her eyes scanning Mondo’s face as she spoke up, “Were you sure that Chihiro was dead?” Straight to the point. Owada looked confused, his brows furrowing, “...Yeah. I carried him to the girl’s locker room. He wasn’t breathing.” Which is understandable, but if you get knocked out, especially by such a big guy like Mondo, your body can seem dead.
“Obviously he was dead. I checked beforehand.” Byakuya tapped his glasses, his voice speaking matter of factly, but it still didn’t make sense. “Togami, your breathing stops and your pulse goes faint when someone knocks you out,” Makoto piped up. He wasn’t trying to accuse him, but he was looking at every option. Their lives are on the line. “What’re you saying, Makoto? That I killed him? I’m telling you, he was already dead!” His voice started to falter, like he was starting to believe it himself. He didn’t properly check Chihiro before he hung him up, but he didn’t want to admit it.
Byakuya turned to Monokuma, “Bear! Tell them that I didn’t kill him! There’s no way!” The smile that he held had fallen as soon as he was being suspected. Monokuma didn’t respond, only a soft “puhuhu” coming from him. Sweat started to bead on Togami’s forehead, looking back at the students, “There’s no way. I didn’t!” No one was defending him, well, except Syo, but even then, she wasn’t taking it seriously. “When I was checking his body,” Sakura finally said, crossing her arms across her chest, “his lips and fingertips were blue. Which I’m pretty sure wouldn’t happen if he was already dead.” In which, Kyoko confirmed that it’s true.
Now everyone’s eyes were on Byakuya, who looked disheveled and anxious. He looked like he was at his breaking point, the reality hitting him that he, Byakuya Togami, had killed Chihiro by accident. He didn’t mean to in the slightest, but the chance that he did was eating him up.
Though, the one who looked the least anxious and sad now, was Taka. The weight of grief was lifted off of his chest, that maybe, just maybe, his bro was safe!! Mondo, not so much. He felt a weight of guilt on his own shoulders. He caused Chihiro’s death. It’s his fault. All his fault. He never felt worse. The boy trusted him, and he just- Mondo was thrown out of his thoughts at Monokuma’s voice. “All right!! Time to cast your votes! I will change this a bit!! Whoever has the most votes between Togami and Owada, will be chosen! Now it’s just luck! Puhuhuhu!!”
There wasn’t enough time to actually get a confession. But even they don’t know. Guess it was just luck. The voting time was a lot longer, which they couldn’t choose to be thankful over, or to be fucking terrified. Finally, the votes were in.
Byakuya had the most votes.
The look of horror on Togami’s face was...almost priceless. When Monokuma pulled the slot game to reveal his sprite, they were correct. Byakuya did kill Chihiro. It felt like fiction. Actually, this entire fucking game felt like fiction to them, but it was all real. All the deaths were real. Sayaka, Junko, Leon, and Chihiro were all gone, and Byakuya was next. The tall boy didn’t even want to believe it, his jaw opening and closing as he tried to think of a rebuttal. But it was already decided. Byakuya killed Chihiro, it was over.
They all left their stands, off the court to discuss, but Byakuya was near unresponsive. It was...strange. He always had something sarcastic to say, just like he said to Leon before his execution. It was...quiet. Probably out of shock, no one expected Byakuya to kill someone. Byakuya being a victim, yes, but not him being a murderer. Mondo seemed to have calmed down, well, as much as he could during the situation. Sakura still had to hold him back by the arm so he didn’t commit his own murder right in that trial room.
“Puhuhuu! What a twist!! I do love surprises, isn’t that right Togami?” Monokuma looked down at the man from his seat, “I mean, you do love surprises!” The words were almost taunting Byakuya, beads of sweat trailing down the side of his face. He looked...defeated. Togami didn’t even care that he was going to die, just to be found out, just to be wrong, really hit him like a truck.
No one wanted to say anything, the only words to be heard was Mondo’s hisses of rage and Taka’s reassuring words to his bro. Makoto was the first to say something, “Chihiro would be alive if you didn’t do that stunt, Byakuya.” It caused the taller man to snap his neck to look at Naegi, his gaze being a split of sorrow and...almost anger. Before Byakuya could even respond, Kyoko piped up, “it was stupid of you. I didn’t expect something that disgusting to come from you.” It was harsh, probably the harshest that Kirigiri has been up to that point, but no one could really blame her.
Byakuya felt like he should...apologize, but pride inside of him refrained it. They weren’t good enough to hear an apology, so he stayed silent. It only displeased everyone, Sakura now having to hold back Aoi from smacking him as well. Since the conversation was going nowhere, Monokuma decided to end it himself, “Huh! I thought we were going to get, ‘oooo, I’m so sorry! Forgive me, don’t do this! I need to be there for the Togami’s!” His words were mocking, draping the side of his body over the arm of his chair dramatically before laughing, “buuuut, I wouldn’t expect anything less from you! P-p-p-punishment time!!”
It was almost ceremonial to see Byakuya being dragged off with little to no resistance. He didn’t want to look like a fool, especially the last time they ever get to see him. Kiyotaka would usually look away, hating seeing the death of people who, in his opinion, ultimately didn’t deserve it. But he was the one in the front, watching everything unfold. Mondo tried to get him away, not really wanting Taka to get sad again, but he refused, pulling away from his bro’s touches.
Instead of watching it first hand, they looked up on the big screen. It flickered on, the colours warping to what...seemed to be Byakuya. He was wearing very beat up clothing, filthy with dirt. He was looking down at his attire, a look of pure disgust on his face. He was...a “commoner.” Monokuma popped into the scene, wearing an elementary student uniform. He had a huge pile of rocks, ranging from small pebbles, to near huge stones that he could barely hold. The name of the execution finally appeared on the screen:
Human Disqualification
The music playing in the background was almost somber. Until Monokuma started pelting the stones at Byakuya. Look of pain of agony appeared on Togami’s face as he was forced to endure the hard rocks hitting his skin. Welts and bruises started to appear as time went on.
Stoning someone to death took ages, especially from only one person doing it. But everyone sat in watch. Not like they had other things to do, they weren’t allowed to leave. But people were allowed in. Everyone was so distracted, Aoi cringing every time the stones hit a more sensitive place on Togami. No one spoke a word, but they didn’t have anything to say anyway.
Until they heard the courtroom door open.
It was so sudden, even causing Sakura to jolt slightly from the sudden change of noise. Everyone’s head whipped around to see what has caused it. Definitely not one of them, since they were too entranced by Byakuya’s execution, which was still happening slowly. Small footsteps seemed to have been getting closer, and they were very uneven and tended to scrape on the floor ever so often.
...Chihiro?
The small boy looked rather...sullen. His blood was stained on his clothes and the right side of his face, his neck and wrists bruised from the blood rushing to them. It was...strange. Why was he here? Was this some kind of sick trick that Monokuma was playing? That thought was immediately debunked as Chihiro spoke,
“D-did I...miss something?”
He seemed so confused and...understandably upset. He had woken up in a small pool of his own blood, his neck and wrists sore from the constant pressure of the electrical cord on them, no one around the entire school. He had assumed there was another murder and that he just wasn’t told, so he went there himself.
But everyone was staring at him. It was starting to make him nervous, having so many eyes on him, Byakuya’s execution in the background. Huh, Chihiro didn’t expect him to be able to kill someone. Kyoko was the first to speak up, of course, but even she had a look of shock on her face, “You’re...supposed to be dead. Byakuya killed you,” her voice was still as calm as ever. It was sort of hard to hear her over Yasuhiro’s shrieks of terror at the boy’s “ghost.”
A look of terror appeared on Chihiro, tears filling his big eyes as he looked up at the huge screen, “B-but, I’m not! I-I promise!” It was obvious that he wasn’t dead, but it was mostly to soothe Hiro. But if Chihiro is alive, then Byakuya has no reason to die. Makoto was able to shout loud enough, “M-Monokuma! Chihiro is alive!!” It caused the Monokuma on the screen to turn to the camera, an obvious look of confusion on his face. The robot paused for a moment, not responding, almost like he was...checking that what they were saying was true. He quickly returned, a loud sigh of...annoyance emitting from him as he was forced to stop the execution.
After all, he wasn’t allowed to break his own rules.
Byakuya was quickly let back into the trial room, bruises and cuts all over his body as he was still wearing the “commoner” clothes. He fell to his knees in front of a very confused Chihiro, which caused the small boy to back up a few steps. Togami reached for the boy’s tiny hand, pressing small kisses to his fingers as he apologized. His voice sounded broken and saddened. His ego was just crushed to death. He didn’t even care who was looking, nor how he even looked like in that moment.
Chihiro looked visibly uncomfortable, trying to tell him that it was okay - though it kind of wasn’t - and that he shouldn’t apologize like that. It took Sakura and Aoi to drag Byakuya away by the shoulders, forcing him to let go of the boy’s hand. He didn’t speak to anyone else, still spewing apologies at Fujisaki. It was almost laughable. Surely, Mondo would’ve been laughing straight at his face at it, but the total shock to see Chihiro alive really hit him. He had pulled the small boy close to his chest, his own apologies leaving his lips. The boy welcomed this one a bit more, his cheek resting on his shoulder. Though, Mondo felt like he shouldn’t be forgiven. He had almost killed the boy.
But it was okay for now, they were alive, and somehow Byakuya was able to survive another day. Mondo promised not to beat him alive...yet, as long as Chihiro and Kiyotaka was alive, he was going to be okay.

Same Cloth — Satori Tendou x Reader
Summary: The friendship everyone saw coming. And the unlikely romance that came after. You were the two weirdos from your respective years. The freshman weirdo, and the second year weirdo. It only made sense. The romance, however, definitely took everyone by surprise, even though it was obvious to you, given that you two were two birds of a feather.
"You and I are cut from the same cloth" Satori Tendou had said almost immediately after properly meeting you.
Posted: 05.10.2020
A/N: So, I was finally able to write this. It def took me a long while. This was inspired by a fic written by @laceymorganwrites. Also, I intended to keep this shorter, but after word-vomiting the conversations and events written with minimum detailed turned out to be almost 2K words, I knew it’d end up being 5K after adding details and everything...
Word Count: 5.1 K
Warnings: None
The school's journal didn't particularly excite you. Journaling wasn't your thing. Writing wasn't your thing. Interacting with people wasn't your thing either. But you needed to join a club. And you did have a talent with cameras. So, you joined the journalism club as the photographer in your first year at Shiratorizawa.
"So, [Name]-chan" Your boss called you once she saw you walk inside the classroom you usually used after class. "I know it's your first year, and that it's hardly been a few months, but, we finally have some big story to cover"
A girl from third year, named Makoto, was the director of the journal and pretty much everyone's boss. She was usually in charge of what stories you covered and she reviewed the final drafts. Everything related to the final draft was her territory, she gave the final green light to everything before publishing the paper.
"I'm not in the writing team…" You reminded her, feeling already uncomfortable by her loud friendly aura.
"Oh, I know that" She giggled. "Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I was going to ask you if I could get some pictures." Makoto by this point knew you weren’t particularly good with figurative speech.
"Alright. About what?"
"The Volleyball tournament will begin soon, the local one at least. Then we'll have the spring tournament. Anyways, I'm pretty sure you know by now how big of a deal Volleyball is to this school" She began explaining as you felt the attack from her eye contact, as you avoided actually locking stares with her, as if you were a prey being watched by the predator.
"I've noticed, but I don't know why" You hissed.
"The team is great” She said “You should go and see one of their games"
"I don't like sports" Flatly, your voice made Makoto pout, sightly dissapointed by your lack of excitement.
"Anyways, [Name]. Could you get some pictures of the team, please?"
Her wide eyes looking at you, begging. And it wasn’t much you could say. She was your boss. You sighed deeply, thinking about how you’d had to pull through, maybe feel unpleasant and uncomfortable watching them play. But the sooner you had the job done, the better, right?
"Yup" You sighed, as Makoto’s smile took over and she thanked you dearly, knowing you weren’t particularly excited by this.
♤
The next day you’’d begged your best friend over and over again to come with you to the Volleyball Court. Normally, you could pull off any photography job by yourself, but this was a whole different story. The awkwardness biting your neck and tensing your back like a cold shiver freezing your spine.
"Can you believe I've never been here?" You muttered standing outside the court.
"Well, you're not one to play sports, so, understandable!" Your best friend said trying to stay cheerful so you’d relax, however, all attempts to make you feel at ease were useless.
Your best friend agreed to go with you to the volleyball court during training hours to take the pictures. A little bit of moral support was all you needed. Even when your best friend thought she wasn’t doing anything for your nerves, her presence alone gave you the strength to step inside the hell with a never ending rain of volleyballs.
Your boss was supposed to meet up with you outside. She was a third year student and knew the team pretty well. Shiratorizawa’s volleyball team was a constant guess, and the leader of the Newspaper of course had to know each and everyone of the team members.
With your feet glued to the ground, and your breath suddenly missing, you could hardly move. Makoto, quite passive-aggressively pushed you inside, as you reluctantly put one feet in front of the other while biting your tongue. Stiff like a corpse, made you wish you had entered the chess club instead.
"You really don't like sports, do ya?" Makoto sighed with a gentle chuckle, trying to soothe your nerves as well.
"She's got very bad luck with sports. She always gets hit in the face" your best friend said holding your hand as you immediately squeezed back her hand. Your friend trying to keep a straight face, pretending like you were not about to break her fingers.
"It's gonna be alright, [Name]-chan" your friend said giving you a threatening look that made you realize you were squeezing the life out of her hand, and you had managed to loosen your grip a little bit.
"Why are we here again, Makoto-senpai?" You murmured, feeling your entire body sweat cold.
"We need pictures!" Makoto said proudly as she stepped inside the gym.
Menacingly, volleyballs flew everywhere. You were convinced that they’d break their trajectory to fly in your direction and hit you instead. Your head got light, and your eyes hurt from the white lights. Feeling terribly exposed and blinded, you were definitely an easy target now.
"Guys! Could you please give me your attention for a few minutes!" Makoto yelled, waving one of her arms, catching everyone's attention.
"Is she allowed to interrupt them just like that?" You asked your best friend as she shrugged as confused as you were.
Several, very tall and intimidating guys suddenly surrounded you like flies in a dumpster. You felt your anxiety closing in round you as these boys circled, leaving you and Makto in the middle, ready to hear whatever the Head of the School’ Paper had to say.
"Ah, Makoto-senpai!" A tall redhead guy said in a dreamy tone. "Want an interview with the school's titans, is that it?"
"Not, quite. We're covering the tournament in the school paper, and we wanted some pictures. So, I brought my photographer" Makoto said, turning around and looking at you.
All the set of eyes were now on you. Very much to your pet peeve of being constantly stared at. Boy, this was horrible. All the guys, standing as tall as buildings, with drilling eyes, the bright lights, the anxiety. It was all awful, and you wished you could just blink and be in your room, as if ll of this was just a nightmare.
But it didn’t matter how many times you blinked, you were still there. Time seemed to slow down significantly. Still stiff, you waved your hand painfully awkwardly as Makoto grabbed your arm and pulled you with her.
"Everyone, meet, [Full Name]. Please be nice, she's like a cat. Also, please be gentle with how you train, she's got bad luck and always gets hit in the face whenever wherever she tries to play sports” Makoto said, quoting what your best friend had told her before walking inside.
"Do you not trust us?" A blond guy with a fierce stare said. "We're amazing players, we won't let her get hit by a volleyball"
"Oi, oi, Semi. Relax" said the redhead with spiky hair. "Don't worry, Makoto-senpai, your photographer will be in good hands~"
"Thank you, Satori-kun. I know she'll be safe, just don't scare her '' Makoto laughed awkwardly as she gave you one last stare, almost if she was asking ‘are you gonna be alright?’ to which you simply gave her a poker face, not even sure if you were going to be alright.
"Makoto-senpai said you're scary, Tendo" another tall guy with darker skin and dark hair said patting the thin redhead in the shoulder.
"Oh, my, my. I'm sorry" Tendo said grinning as you noticed he didn’t deny what his teammate had said.
"I didn't say anything!" Makoto giggled shyly.
"The second years are very chatty, aren't you guys?" A rather intimidating guy said. "I'm sorry, I'm the captain of the team. Feel free to stay and take as many pictures as you'd like" The guy said bowing politely as you felt even more awkward by such a polite gesture in such a hostile place.
"Tha-thanks…" you said
“She speaks!” Satori said.
Everyone could sense the tension surrounding you. Almost as if you were a tiny bomb yourself. However, the entire team felt slightly curious by what could have you so tense. Finally, the captain took away the focus from you by talking loudly.
"Ushijima! Let’s take it from where we left!” The captain said cheerfully as another rather intimidating second year walked back to the court.
“Will you be okay if I leave you here? I still gotta check some stuff back in the classroom” Makoto said in a gentle voice.
You opened our mouth ready to answer when another, more cheerful voice, took over.
“Don’t worry, Makoto-chan! We’ll take good care of your photographer” Said Satori ruffling your hair in a friendly manner as you tensed up, thinking why on earth a stranger would do such a thing to you.
“Thank you!. Take lots of pictures, [Name]!” Makoto said walking out of the gym, waving at you.
Your best friend exchanged stares with you, as you realized you’d been keeping your breath for the last several seconds. You sighed loudly, trying to focus on your camera, hanging from your shoulder.
“Don't worry,, we’re good at what we do,” Satori said, walking in front of you “We won't let any volleyballs fly your way. And if they do, I’ll stop them” He said grinning in a rather creepy way as you simply stared at him “You’re not very talkative, are you, kitty?”
“Makoto did mention that. She is like a cat. She’ll take a while to open up” Your best friend giggled trying to lighten up the tension.
“Well, if you girls need something, feel free to ask” He said politely, walking back inside the court “So, make sure you make us look cool as hell in those pictures, kitty”
Leaving aside your crippling fear of being hit, you found yourself in a complete state of lack of inspiration. Despite the explosive dynamic the team had, there was something that just wasn't there. It was hard to explain, even to yourself.
Yes, the team was there. They were training. You could tell they were really trying by the shiny layer of sweat all of the guys had. The determination in their eyes. But something was off. Something that somehow was blocking your creative eye. The need to pull your camera to your eye did not exist. An urgency to capture a moment wasn't there.
“So, how are the photos going?” Makoto made an appearance out of nowhere, gently patting your shoulder.
Without looking away from the most intimidating guy of all, a guy by the name of Wakatoshi Ushijima, you answered.
“Terrible" Your gaze moved back to your camera, looking at probably the most decent picture you'd taken so far. "I can’t work like this”
The picture was Wakatoshi's; caught in the middle of his jump, his left hand raised tall and strong ready to hit the ball.
“What the hell does that mean?” The blond, Semi, growled.
“I’m not feeling this, you know?” You answered in a low voice.
“I’m not following you” Makoto peeked over your shoulder, looking at the picture.
“I’m not excited. How am I supposed to take exciting pictures if I’m not excited myself?”
“Are you saying our training is boring?” The blond growled once more.
“Oi, oi, Semi-kun!" Satori said, holding his friend by the shoulder. "I think what Kitty is trying to say is that there’s not enough competitive atmosphere to properly take pictures, isn’t that it?”
There was something terribly familiar about you, thought Tendou. Maybe the fact that your analyzing stare somehow reminded him of Ushijima. Your monotonous tone, and the way you seemed to struggle to put your thoughts into comprehensible words. He was able to.understand what you were trying to say thanks to his friendship with Ushijima.
You simply shrugged, not quite agreeing with him, nor denying it. Truth was, you were not sure what was wrong, but Satori's words seemed like a pretty good guess.
“She needs to feel excited, and as long as we train with each other, she won’t feel it" Satori continued "She needs to go to one of our matches against other schools. Not friendly matches, an actual one with us wearing our white and pink shirts and the school screaming at the top of their lungs"
“That’s actually a pretty good idea" Said the captain "Are you free next Wednesday after class?”
“I don’t know. Am I?” You looked at Makoto who raised an eyebrow at you.
“I-I’m not your mother” Makoto saod awkwardly.
“You are my boss, if I’m not going to make it to the club I have to let you know so...”
“oh, that's what you mean" Your boss sighed "We still have a week and a half for the deadline, so yeah, you can go”
You looked back at the Volleyball team as all of them nodded instinctively.
“Ah, just you wait, Kitty cat, you’re going to be on the edge of your seat watching us play” Satori Tendou said patting you in the head gently.
You could feel your best friend staring at you, somewhat of excitement in her eyes. You nodded at the redhead, seriously doubting what he was saying. Still somewhat stiff by the whole hour of nerve wracking stress, you spun in your toes and left right away.
Satori watched you leave, a small proud smile on his face. Something about you intrigued him, and your shy nature sure as hell amused him. You were, in fact, like a kitten. Scared of loud noises and over all shy, but still observing and analyzing like cats usually are.
"Someone liked the new photographer” Semi teased staring at Satori, as the latter sighed dreamily.
“Yes, I did,” He said proudly. “And how could I not? Are you gonna tell me she isn’t cute?” Satori looked back at Semi who didn’t answer, and instead looked away, defeated. “Yeah, I thought so”
Your best friend followed close behind, and once you made it out the gym, she leaned closer to your ear.
“I think Satori-senpai liked you” Breaking you apart from your train of thought, you looked at her, trying to keep the blush from telling on you.
“I didn’t notice…” You lied “He’s weird” You tried to somehow defend yourself, and make it look like you weren’t at all interested in the tall redhead. Your best friend giggled in response. “What?”
“It's funny that you say that, you’re not precisely the definition of normal” Your friend laughed.
♤
On Wednesday after class, you met the volleyball team at the entrance of the school. The school bus was waiting for everyone to gather before leaving.the team greeted you with polite smiles.
The only ones who greeted you properly were Satori Tendo and Ushijima Wakatoshi. The pair greeted you as if you weren't seeing each other for the second time ever. The redhead asked you about your day and your classes as his friend limited himself to wave at you silently and ask how were you today.
“So, Kitty, excited to watch us play?” Satori said as the team started getting inside the bus.
“I guess” You said as Tendo allowed you to get inside first and followed you, taking the seat next to yours.
“Oh, come on. Loosen up!" He gave you a friendly pat in the shoulder "I can see you’re tense. There’s nothing to worry about. I won’t let any volleyballs hit you while you’re wandering around taking pictures. Issa promise” He said sticking his pinky finger at you as you looked at his hand and then at him. “C’mon, give me your pinky!” You met his stare, exchanging stares for the first time with his penetrating glare. You did as he asked and he locked his pinky with yours.“The pact has been sealed” He answered dramatically.
Ushijima took the seat in front of yours and as Satori leaned forward, saying something to his friend, you sighed deeply looking out the window, holding your camera close to your chest.
“You know, Kitty..." Satori continued leaning back into his seat "you and I are cut from the same cloth”
You didn't hear him at first. His voice took a while to be processed in your brain.
“Yeah?” You asked still looking out the window
“You and I are not like the rest. We’re both quite similar” At this, you turned around, scanning the guy, not sure you understood what he meant.
“Yeah...I don’t think so”
“Of course not" He answered "I’m extroverted, you’re not. But that doesn’t mean we’re different. You seem distracted most of the time, but I know you’re constantly observing each and every one of our moves" You looked back into the window, feeling uncomfortable by his piercing eyes on you "I bet you already know how volleyball works from just seeing us train, don’t you?"
He was good if he noticed you analyzing their training while still training hard himself. Trying to put your thoughts in orders, you took a while to talk back.
“I know you guys touch the ball maximum three times before sending it to the other side. The second player to touch the ball usually sends it to the hitter, I think they are called setters?”
Satori smiled pleased with what he had heard, especially because his guess about you was right.
“What a clever kitty we have here” He answered.
“Your reaction time is outstanding" You continued. "I don't know if your thought train is that fast, or you run just in intuition l, maybe it's both. I really am impressed by how quick you react" You said looking at him briefly before looking away once more.
“Thank you" Satori smiled “Also, you’re not so bad yourself. Little Kitty Cat turned out to have Sherlock-like observation skills, nice” He could tell you were avoiding meeting his stare, but he didn't mind. He scanned your face, now relaxed compared to.when you met outside the school a few minutes earlier ”Ah, I can smell a nice friendship about to bloom, here” He sighed before hoping off his seat and sitting next to Wakatoshi.
Once at the game, it was euphoric the amount of intense competitive atmosphere going on during the match. The school singing and cheering. Loud enough to make you get a headache barely 10 minutes after the match began. However, you came prepared with your earbuds.
Putting them in, you started playing music to help you with your nerves brought by the overstimulation. The yelling, the bright lights, and the constant fear of being hit with a volleyball while moving around the cort while taking photos.
Normally, people weren’t allowed to be wandering around, but being Shiratorizawa, and thanks to the coach’s big influence, you were allowed to move around taking photos, as long as you didn't distract any of the teams. Something you managed to do perfectly, being unnoticed by everyone throughout the match.
Once in the bus ride back to the school, you sat at the back, and scrolled through the camera roll to see all the pictures you’ve taken, and plan which one you’d use and how you were going to edit them.
Satori constantly looked back at you from his seat, feeling curious by your big focus swallowed entirely by your camera. After Ushijima had encouraged him to go with you, Satori chuckled sarcastically before doing as his friend did and walked towards you.
“Kitty-chan, nya!” Satori Tendou said sitting next to you, breaking you apart from your trance “Mind if I sit here for a while?” You shook your head silently looking back at your camera. “What did you think of the game?”
“It was exactly what I needed for the pictures” You said in a low voice.
“Mind if I peek?” His question took you by surprise. The idea of someone freely looking through your camera roll made you nervous. However, something was urging you to trust him. You sighed, hesitant at first. You handed him your camera as he proceeded to look at the pictures.
You’d taken a lot of them, from all of the players, even the coach sitting on the bench with his ever present analyzing stare. Satori indulged himself, counting how many pictures you’d taken of each player just for his own amusement.. However, he felt flattered when he noticed he was the second player with the most photos after Usijima. Being the second with the most photos taken of him after the team’s ace player was just a weird compliment. And probably something you didn’t do on purpose. Or, did you? He thought.
Seeing his fare share of cool pictures flattered him.
“You guys are amazing” You broke the silence, surprising Tendou as he looked up from the camera.
You were usually so quiet and limited yourself to answer whatever questions were addressed towards you. And now, you were actually starting a conversation. On top of that, Tendou felt his cheeks blush gently upon seeing a small shy smile on your face. It was the first time he’d seen you smile, and boy, he felt strangely flattered for a second time.
“You’re welcome to see us play every game, Kitty. In fact, you could be our personal paparazzo” Satori joked, returning the flirty smile.
♤
A few weeks had passed. The Volleyball team were really excited for their pictures. After editing them and sending each of them their respective photos, all of them lost their heads and immediately flooded their social media with them.
This gesture alone made you somehow popular among the school. Everyone in the team greeted you, talked to you and personally invited you to their games. It was weird how a single event, which was a responsibility, triggered the friendship.
Especially with Satori who constantly looked for you in between classes or during lunch break to drag you along to hang out with him and Wakatoshi.
This time, however, it wasn't Satori who poked his head inside your classroom. As you talked with your best friend, she saw Ushijima's face looking for you. She immediately changed the topic, letting you know Ushijima was looking for you.
Turning around, and making eye contact with him, he signaled with his hand, calling you. You nodded and excused yourself from your small group of friends and walked towards the door.
“[Name], may I have a word?” Ushijima said even before you could ask anything.
"Ye-yeah, sure” You nodded, nervous because, well, Ushijima wasn't a very talkative guy.
You followed him down the hall a few meters away from your classroom, towards a more.open space with less people around.
“Look," He said, stopping by the staircase and looking at you "You’re probably aware of this by now, but Satori likes you, and that's the first time I see him like that since I met him. Be nice with him. If you’re not interested in him, let him now before his feelings for you get out of his hand” His voice wasn't particularly threatening, but he sounded more serious than he usually was.
Something inside you made you feel butterflies in your stomach, maybe the fact that Ushijima pointed out what you already knew. Satori liked you. You knew this, but hearing it out loud felt...nice.
“Ushijima senpai, I really appreciate that you care so much for Tendo-kun" You began, the anxiety building up.in your stomach as you gathered the strength to put your thoughts into words "But you don't have to worry, I wont hurt him. In fact, I really like him too… And, it may sound dumb…" You chuckled awkwardly "But it’s the first time I like someone who likes me back, so, I’m not sure how to proceed from here on...I'm improvising along the way, and so far it has worked…" Ushijima chuckled this time, thinking how Satori had actually said something quite similar. "Tendo-kun always says we’re cut from the same cloth, so, I wanna believe I know how to handle him to not hurt him"
A gentle smile was drawn on Ushijima's facem something you didn't see as often. But it was somehow comforting.
“I’m glad to hear” He said turning around towards the stairs, ready to go back to his classroom. "Thanks, [Name]-san"
“Ushijima-senpai?” You said before he walked away.
“Yes, [Name]?”
“Please don’t tell Tendo that I told you that I like him back” You asked nervously looking at your fingers.
“I’m sorry, [Name], but I can’t promise that. I won't tell him. But if he asks me, I won't deny it. Besides, I'm pretty sure he knows by now" Ushijima said looking up the stairs and noticing his friend walking along the hall, looking for him.
Ushijima gave you one last smile before joining Satori in the next floor as his friend asked him where had he'd gone.
♤
The next two months you lived with a crippling anxiety that popped up whenever you saw Watakoshi and Satori together. However, Satori never showed a sudden change of attitude towards you. But that didn't mean Wakatoshi hadn't told him.
One thing had changed, with each day, Satori opened up more and more. He looked for excuses to spend time with you. You even went on coffee dates with him and both of you worked on your respective homework.
Very subtle, little by little, you fell harder and harder for him. And so he did. To the point where people weren't sure if you were dating or not. Including you among these people.
Where your relationship or friendship stood, wasn't clear. At least not until that date. The very first non-coffee-and-homework date you had.
He'd taken you to the aquarium. At first you thought it was a rather random place for a date. At least until you noticed how quiet he was. The usual talkative Satori Tendou now walked slowly, silently. Very much like a cat, fascinated by the fish
You realized that was why he'd chosen the aquarium. And you knew this from his behavior alone. He didn't speak much, and he paced slowly, stopped at every tank and attentively watched at the fish. And it felt weirdly intimate. You were seeing a side of Tendou you didn't see at school. And you weren't sure if other people knew of. Probably Ushijima.
His talkative loud demeanor was gone, replaced by a quiet wandering shadow. And you took advantage of this to take a lot of incredible pictures of him. The blue lighting and the dim lights worked magic combined with your skills in photography. You captured the beauty of absolute calmness shining from his eyes. The eyes that usually shone with a chaotic fire now looked calm. The calm before the storm reflected in his eyes in blue and greens.
"How come you haven't grown tired of taking pictures of me?" He said as his eyes followed the marlin fish swimming in front of him.
"Because your eyes shine in a way I've never seen before. Its nice..." You said, drawing a small, yet confident smile in Satori's face. "And I want to capture them as much as I can"
"[Name]-chan, can I ask you something?" He whispered walking closer to you.
You looked up at him, curious. And then you saw yet another perfect frame to take a picture. However, your curiosity was stronger and you refrained from stopping him to take the picture.
"Sure" You answered, noticing how he'd stopped within a single step away from you.
You looked up at him, he was tall. His slim complexion made him look even taller. His eyes, somewhat tender and gentler met yours. Your intuition screaming at you, suddenly making you blush and your heart race.
"Why do you like me so much?" He asked bluntly as one of his hands reached your face and softly brushed your hair with his fingers.
"Did Wakatoshi tell you?" You stuttered.
"Wakatoshi knows?"
"I-I asked him not to tell you"
"So that's why…" He whispered "Normally he tells me everything...you haven't answered my question, Kitty" He looked at you as you shyly shook your head
"I'm not sure" You began, as your heart raced at an amazing speed you didn't know was possible.
"I just know my heart races, and my gut twist in funny ways whenever I see you, or even think of you" You continued "There's something special about you and I can't pinpoint what. And I don't want to know either. You're the kind of mystery that should stay unsolved"
Satori smiled, quite satisfied with his answer.
"Such a weird kitty" he murmured leaning closer to you, pressing his forehead against yours, and closing his eyes.
"Yeah" You breathed as Satori took deep breaths, getting drunk on your sweet smell. A sweet smell he could never grow tired of. A smell he'd love to smell every day close to him.
Desperate, with the anxiety twisting your gits more and more with every second, you stood up.on your toes, closing the distance between your faces, and pressing a shy kiss on his lips.
At once, he cupped your face, holding you there, as he kissed you back. Lips clumsily locking, exploring each other for the first time. A sweet kiss, the both of you had been craving so desperately finally bringing closure to the questions about the two of you dating.
God, what a kiss. Stealing your breath, making your head feel light, thinking how you could easily become addicted to him.
Finally, Satori slowly broke the kiss. Pressing a delicate kiss on the tip of your nose, and another one on your forehead before pressing his cheek against it. As you tried to catch your breath, Satori returned to look at the fish swimming calmly in the tank.
"Can you hear them?" Satori whispered as you followed his stare.
"Who?"
"The fish" He answered as if it was obvious who he was talking about. You looked at him and smiled before looking back at the fish bank swimming in hypnotizing shapes.
"What are they saying?" You said playing along.
"You don't talk fish?" Satori joked looking at you crack a soft laugh.
"I'm sorry, I don't talk fish" You answered with a small cheeky smile on your lips.
"You're beautiful" He whispered.
Looking back at him, you noticed he was scanning your face. A subtle smile drawn on his face as he continued to admire you. One if his long thin hands cupped your cheek. He felt his heart melt as you gave into his touch and snuggled your face in his hand. He leaned closer, pressing another kiss on your lips. You stopped breathing for a second before you gasped against his lips in surprise and wrapped your arms around his chest squeezing him m gently against you.

Haru: (Smiles Brightly) I agree wholeheartedly. What makes you want to become a kunoichi in the first place.
Yusuke: It was all Futuba's idea, of course. She has shown the design of this outfit a day before then and convinced me to wear for the tonight's beauty pageant. (Smiles a Little). Needless to say, I believe the outcome in all of this itself has become somewhat impressive. (Turns to Futuba) Thanks to you, of course.
Futuba: (Gives Yusuke a Bright Smile and a Thumbs Up) Anytime, Inari!~ You look like a badass already!..... That's a good thing.
Yusuke: (Simply Nodded) Ah. I see. Thank you.

Pit: (Immediately Stops Laughing)
Makoto: You promise me and all of your mothers that you two would behave yourselves once you step foot in our world.
Haru: (Gives the Duo Motherly Yet Disappointed Frown) That's right. What would your mothers think if they were to find out that either of you broke that promise?
Ann: Makoto and Haru are right, you guys. (Have her Arm Around Ryuji's Shoulder Again) Don't make fun of my knockoff twin like that!
Makoto/Haru: Ann!
Ann: Okay! Okay! I was only joking here! Really. (Turns Back to The Angel Duo) But seriously, you know what we're saying here, right?
Pit: (Immediately Feels Bad For What He (May Have) Done) Yeah.....(Turns to Ryuji) We're sorry, Ryuji....
Dark Pit: ('Sighs in Defeat') Yeah....We didn't mean to make fun of you or anything......
Ryuji: Eh. It's fine. Should've saw the insults coming the moment I put on this get-up. (Chuckles Lightly) Hopefully I won't look bad as Renny boy would be.
Haru: Speaking of which, what is taking Ren-Ren so long to getting ready?
Makoto: I'm not sure.....(Gets Up from the Couch) Maybe I should go check on-

Dark Pit/Pit/Futuba: (Burst Out Laughing at Ryuji's Blantent Dispense) AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Ann/Shiho/Haru: (Starts Snickering at the Poor Man)
Ren: (Chuckles Lightly) Knockoff Ann aside, you really don't have anything to worry about here.
Makoto: ('Sigh') I know...(Smiles Softly at her Boyfriend) I love you, Ren-Ren~
Ren: (Smiles Softly) Love you too, Makoto~ (Gives Makoto a Loving Kiss on the Lips)
Makoto: (Giggles Softly) I love your lipstick color~ It suits you fairly well.
Ren: Thanks. Love yours too~

P5R: Rebel Girl (A FeMC Story/P5R Rework) Chapter 63: Mass Disruption
As people were walking into school the next day, Makoto noticed Ren. “Ren-chan!” she shouted, capturing her attention. Makoto ran up to her. “Um, while I do think a break is important, I mean, I’m still feeling a bit worn out from Mementos, I do have a few other things I need to do these upcoming days. Of course, you are in charge, but…”
Ren smiled. “Does tomorrow work for you?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah!” Makoto exclaimed.
“What are you talking about?” Ann said, joining them.
“Well, uh…” Makoto said, taken aback.
“Good morning senpais” Sumire said, meeting up with them.
“Uh, good morning,” Makoto said.
“Yo” Ryuji said, rushing up to meet them. “What’s bonkin’?”
“Erm, ‘bonkin’’?” Makoto repeated, confused.
“Yeah, I’m tying it out,” Ryuji said. “What do you think?”
Makoto was a bit confused. “Well… I don’t think I’d use it.”
“Huh,” Ryuji replied.
“I like it,” Ren said.
“Yah! Now that’s what I’m talking about” Ryuji said.
“So, what ARE you guys doing here?” Ann asked, still wondering, and a little annoyed.
“Oh, well, uh,” Makoto stammered.
“We were discussing going into the palace tomorrow,” Ren explained.
“Oh” Ann said. “I’m fine with that.”
“Yeah, same” Ryuji said.
Sumire nodded. “That actually works really well for me. My competition is next week, and I want to practice as much as I can before then. So doing it earlier works out.”
“Oh, right,” Ann said. “I guess that means sending out the calling card might have to wait until after.”
“It would?” Makoto asked.
“Yeah” Morgana said, popping out from the bag. “We usually have to secure our route first, and then we’d need another break.”
“I see,” Makoto said, fascinated with the inner workings of the Phantom Thieves.
“I’d think we’d still have time,” Ryuji said.
“Yeah, but we’d be cutting it a little close,” Morgana retorted.
“It’s alright” Ren said, scratching Morgana’s ear. “We ARE the Phantom Thieves after all. What would we be without a little dramatic tension?”
“Hm. I see” Makoto said.
“You seem pretty quick to agree to that,” Ryuji said.
“Well, I feel like it’s easier to go with the flow when it comes to you guys,” Makoto explained. “And maybe to life in general at points.”
“But you’re still not going to say ‘bonkin’’?” Ryuji inquired.
“Mmmmmmmm, probably not,” Makoto answered.
“She has her own brand,” Ann explained.
“Thank you, Ann,” Makoto said.
“I should message Yusuke and Jose,” Ren said, taking out her phone and doing just that.
“Well, we should head in,” Sumire said. “We don’t want to be late, you know?” The others nodded.
On their way in, the Shujin thieves noticed Hikari, the girl whose heart they changed, talking to a boy. “Um, so what I’m trying to say is...I’m Sorry!” Hikari said. “Would you ever forgive me?”
The boy smiled. He hugged her. “Of course.” Hikari was surprised and started crying. He changed positions from a hug to a face to face meeting with him grabbing her shoulders. “I’m crazy about you.”
“I’m…” Hikari said through her tears, “I’m crazy about you too!” She rushed in, burying her face in his collarbone. “I just didn’t know how to show it until now.”
“Hm” the boy said, wrapping his arms around her. “It’s OK.”
As they witnessed this, Makoto smiled. “I’m glad they could work things out.
Sumire shed a single happy tear. “Me too.” They then proceeded to go to class.
After school, Ann turned to Ren. “So,” Ann said. Ren looked up. “We’re going into the palace tomorrow. As it just so happens, I have a photoshoot today. I was wondering if you’d like to come along with me.”
Ren smiled. “That sounds like an excellent idea.” The two girls got up and started heading out.
On their way, Ann couldn’t hold in her excitement. “GAH! I can’t wait!”
Ren looked at her. “What’s got you so giddy?”
“Ah, well,” Ann said, kind of embarrassed. “This is just the first time I’m bringing a friend along.” She stopped, causing Ren to stop as well. “I was always told I could bring a friend along, but Shiho and Ryuji were always busy with practice and stuff. And then, well…”
Ren placed a hand on Ann’s shoulder. “It’s OK. The important thing is you have the chance now.”
Ann perked up. “Yeah! I can do this!”
“That’s the Ann I know,” Ren said, smiling a mile wide. They continued walking. “So, where are we heading?”
Ann got out her phone. “I’m not exactly sure myself,” she admitted. “Apparently, some other models didn’t show up, so I was called in to replace them.”
“I see,” Ren said.
Once they got there, one of the cameramen noticed. “Hey! Takamaki!” he shouted. “We’re just setting up!”
“OK!” Ann replied. She then noticed another model. “Oh my gosh” she said, dramatically grabbing onto Ren. “It’s Mika!”
Ren looked at Mika. “That other model?”
“Yeah” Ann said, letting go. “I’ve never worked with her before. I’m a little excited.”
“I can hardly tell,” Ren said, sarcastically.
“Shut up” Ann said, playfully shoving her.
Mika took notice of this, and grinned maliciously. She put on a cheery face and walked over. “Um, you know it’s not nice to shove people like like that” she said, mimicking a caring voice
Ren and Ann were somewhat confused. “It’s alright, really,” Ren explained. “We’re friends.”
“Oh, I see,” Mika said. “That’s great!” She turned to look at Ann. “So, you’re Takamaki-san.”
“That’s right,” Ann said. “And you’re Mika, correct?”
Mika gasped. “You've heard of me?”
“Of course!” Ann said, cheerfully. “I’m so glad we get to work together!”
“The feeling’s mutual,” Mika said. “So, why did you want to be a model?”
“Huh?” Ann said, surprised. “Oh, uh, well, I guess my parents put me up to it, you know?”
Mika then broke her nice look. “Are you telling me you don’t even WANT to be a model?”
“Huh?” Ann said, confused. “No, I jus-”
“Everyone’s working their hardest, and you’re just floating in, blissfully unaware?” Mika interrupted.
“No,” Ann said, getting angry. “But I-”
“And after they asked you to come down here to help, you can’t even bother to give it your all?” Mika continued.
“ENOUGH!” Ann shouted, catching everyone’s attention.
Mika then went into fake “WAAAAAAHHHHHHH!” she wailed. “Takamai’s yelling at me!”
“Takamaki! Did you make Mika cry?” a cameraman asked.
“Well, I-” Ann tried to explain.
“You know what? We can do this with Mika alone” the cameraman explained. “You can just go home until you can control yourself.”
Mika looked up at Ann and Ren and smirked. Ann grrred, but couldn’t do anything about it. Mika put her fake tears back on. “Are you sure?” Mika asked.
“Yeah,” the cameraman answered. “We don’t want to upset you.”
“Oh, thank you,” Mika said, walking back.
Ann huffed and walked away. Ren followed her. Ann was still frustrated. “What was THAT?”
“Do you want an honest answer?” Ren asked.
Ann looked at her. “If you lied, I could probably tell by now.”
“You say that, but I haven’t told anyone I’m the leader of the Phantom Thieves” Ren retorted. “I’d like to think I’m good at lying.”
Ann giggled. “You know what I mean.” Her face grew a little more serious. “In all seriousness, I know I just got played by Mika. It’s just so frustrating, you know?”
“I get it,” Ren said.
“But do you know what the worst thing is?” Ann asked. Ren looked at her for an answer. “I think she might be right in a sense.” Ren was worried. “I mean, I’ve been on the fence about modeling. Sometimes, I even wanted to quit.” Ren was about to comfort Ann, when she snapped into a fury pose. “But now, I’m thinking about Mika being on the cover of the magazines, and people aspiring to be like her, and that makes me SO MAD!”
Ren chuckled. “I was going to say ‘don’t let her get to you’, but I think you’re doing alright.”
Ann simmered down. She looked at Ren and grinned. “Thanks.” She became a little frustrated again. She sighed. “I’m still not sure what to do though.”
“Well, since she appears to be cheating, we have a way to punish that sort of thing,” Ren suggested, holding out her phone with the Metaverse app.
Ann smiled. “Thanks, but I’d rather do this fair and square, and on my own terms.”
“Hm” Ren smiled, putting her phone away. “Well, the option’s always there if you want it.”
“Thanks,” Ann said. She started chuckling softly, but then it grew. “You know, before, I feel like I would have just accepted it. The whole ‘I’m not good enough’ thing. But with you, Ryuji, Shiho, and, well, everyone, I’m starting to feel like I am good enough.”
Ren smiled. “Trust me when I say this: The feeling’s mutual.”
“Hah!” Ann laughed. “You didn’t need to worry. Like I said, I could probably tell when you’re lying.” Ren started laughing as well. The two girls laughed with each other in the middle of the sidewalk, not caring about the people giving them weird looks.
Lovers-Ann Takamaki: Rank 5
Meanwhile, Sumire was at practice. Everyone was taking a break. Suddenly, the gym door busted open. Everyone looked. Sumire was shocked to see it was Daisuke. But not as shocked as the girl next to her. She was a bit shorter than Sumire, but a bit more muscular, and had short black hair in a bob-cut. “Kimi!” Daisuke called out.
“Daisuke?!” said the girl with the bob-cut. “What are you doing here?”
Daisuke ran over to meet Kimi. He took hold of her hand. “Kimi. I...need to apologize.” Kimi was surprised. “I...I made a huge mistake. I got caught shoplifting something, and this guy...he was pressuring me into becoming a bully. I felt trapped. So, I broke up with you before I could hurt you in a way that I couldn’t bear.
But, after getting some help, I realized the error of my ways. I apologized to the store, I paid them back, and I made it up to them. And that other guy has apparently stopped blackmailing me. He was blackmailing other people too, can you believe it?”
Daisuke sighed. “I’m sorry. I’m such a lousy person. I wanted you to hear the truth. I couldn't stand you just wondering why forever. I’m sorry I’m such a lame person. I hope one day you can forgive me.” Daisuke started walking away.
Kimi was stunned for a second, but then gathered herself enough to shout “Daisuke!” Daisuke turned around. Kimi grabbed his shirt collar, and pulled him in for a kiss. Needless to say, Daisuke was shocked. Once she let go, she said “Today is that day.” She closed in and hugged him. “I’m sorry you had to go through all of that.” She looked up at him. “But please, don’t leave me again like that. You’re the sweetest, kindest, gentlest person I’ve met. You’re my best friend, the love of my life, and the one I want to spend my life with. If you ever make a misstep like that again, I want you to be honest, lean on me. Because I would lean on you.”
Daisuke was stunned and embarrassed. Once he regained his composure, he said “You’re right. You’re always right. I’m sorry. I promise to lean on you whenever I need it.” Kimi gave him a kiss, this time on the cheek. They both smiled.
Just then, everyone else started clapping for the two of them. Sumire wrapped her arm around Kimi. “Way to go, Kimi!”
“Ahem!” Coach Hiraguchi said. “While this is all very lovely, I think it’s time we get back to work.” Everyone went back to put their stuff back down and start working on their routines again.
Daisuke started to walk out. “So, competition coming up?”
“Yeah!” Kimi answered.
“Great!” Diasuke said. “Text me the deets later! I’ll make sure to come!”
Kimi smiled. “Will do!”
Daisuke returned the smile. As he was heading out, he got stopped by Coach Hiraguchi. “If you do anything like this again, I wouldn’t worry about the person blackmailing you. Understand?”
Daisuke was a little scared. But he looked her dead in the eye, smiled, bowed, and said “Yes Ma’am. It won’t happen again ma’am.”
Hiraguchi smiled. “That’s what I like to hear.” Daisuke nodded and left.
Kimi chuckled slightly at her coach intimidating her boyfriend. She started to stretch. Sumire was stretching next to her. “Congratulations again,” Sumire said.
Kimi smiled. “Thanks.” She did some more stretching. “You know, with Daisuke and I getting back together, I feel like I can go the distance in this competition!”
Sumire smiled and quietly said “Me too.” She continued her stretching before going back into her routine.
Later that night, after she and Ann split up, Ren decided to head to the church in Kanda to see if Hifumi was there. Despite her trepidation, she did want to take her up on her kind offer. Once she got there, she said “Here goes nothing.” She took a step in. “Well, I didn’t burst into flames, so that’s a good start.”
She then spotted Hifumi. She was playing shogi in one of the pews. Ren walked over and sat beside her. “Hey.”
“Oh” Hifumi said, sort of shocked. “You’re that girl from yesterday.”
Ren nodded. “Ren.”
Hifumi smiled. “What made you decide to come here tonight?”
“Well, I just needed somewhere to think,” Ren explained. “And since you so graciously offered…”
“I see,” Himfumi replied. She then made another move on her shogi board. Ren looked on. “Would you like to give it a try?” Hifumi asked.
“Huh?” Ren said. “Oh, no. I would be no match for someone like you.”
“It’ll be fine,” Hifumi said. “I learned by playing against my dad, and he is also a shogi master.”
“I see,” Ren said.
“I find shogi helps clear your head,” Hifumi continued. “It also helps you think on your feet better.”
Ren could use some of that. “Well, if you insist.” Hifumi started to reset the board. “Hey” Ren said. “Thanks.” Hifumi smiled, and continued setting up the board.
They started playing. As expected, Ren was no real match to Hifumi, but she did try. However, that didn’t do her much good. After one of Ren’s moves, Hifumi said “The dragon which governs the blue sky has fallen into my hands. How do you intend to survive this?” She made her next move. “Check.” Ren was looking at the board. “It’s checkmate no matter how you look at it. It would be best to concede.”
Ren looked up. “Concede?”
Hifumi nodded. “It’s better to admit defeat with grace and dignity.”
Ren smirked. “I see. Well then, I guess I concede.”
Hifumi smiled. “Very astute.”
“But despite that, I had a good time actually,” Ren admitted. “Would you want to do this again sometime?”
“Huh?” Hifumi said, surprised. “Oh. Of course.” She looked off. “I...actually had fun too. So, I would like this to continue.”
Ren was silent for a bit. “Hm” she shrugged. “I thought you’d be bored playing a novice like me.”
“Well, that might be the case for some people,” Hifumi began, “but I like practicing new moves and thinking of new strategies. However, I find it better to do this while playing against someone else, and playing against someone elite at the game can tip your hand when trying to engineer new strategies. Besides, no one wants to play with me…”
“I see…” Ren said. She smiled. “Well then I guess I’ll just have to keep coming back here.”
Hifumi was shocked. “You mean it?” Ren nodded. Hifumi smiled. “Well then, I hope you’re prepared. I’m not going to go easy on you.”
“Of course,” Ren said. Hifumi chuckled. She then realized she was doing that, and stopped herself. Ren smiled at her, affirming their new friendship.

After another round of shogi, which Hifumi won handily, the two girls exchanged numbers went home.
