HEY guess who's being completely normal about episode 7 :)

anyway it sure ain't me, so I made myself a baby Malleus! I used the single-headed version of Choly Knight's hydra pattern (link will be in replies ↓↓↓) as a base, and just messed with some of the pieces to make him more Mall-y. including sewing all those little claw pieces, then pinning them on and realizing I actually liked him better without them...oh well. to heck with accuracy, I want stubby little dragon legs!

unfortunately, he doesn't photograph very well, especially his forehead scales (they're there! I promise!) (they're made of glitter HTV so they are actually SPARKLY in real life, yet apparently they come out completely invisible in photos, woe). but he is super cuddly and soft so I'm happy with him! just as in canon, he is a product of LOVE. :>

This year it's Boxfox's 10th (tenth!!!!) Anniversary! Hard to believe. This silly little cubular fox going viral on the 12th of November 2014 on Tumblr kind of changed my life a bit?? I dunno. It was big for me.

Anyway, perfect time for a couple of new colours for the Boxfox plush lineup! "Kitsune"-style and Black boxfoxes are now available in my shop! They debuted at Tails of Terror last weekend and I'll have them at Supanova Brisbane this week and into the future! Very exciting. :)

Unfortunately I'm fully out of orange boxfoxes and very low stock of the red boxfoxes so...ya know. I just can't juggle full stock of everything at once. ^^

Toy AU - The cast

So... what if them but as toys... ? I will surely ramble more about it in another post. But for short: Sun is a wooden marionette. Moon is a Jack-in-the-box. And Y/N is a little plastic doll.

I guess the AU is giving off some Toy Story vibes.

Hey so I've been doin something neat lately :)

I made a pattern for some ghost plushies and have been having so much fun making a bunch of them and playing with different techniques for each one. Lowkey tempted to open up a commission slot for them on kofi because I love making these lil guys!!!!

Also!! Even better!! Some of them make sound!!!

Some behind the scenes and intros about each of em below the cut for those interested!!

Okay so!! Oldest of the flock to newest: Flower (White Ghost), Yellow Ghost, Red Ghost, and Mardi (Nonbinary Flag Ghost).

When I first made this pattern Flower was my little trial run to figure out how everything fit together. And as such, I got a little mixed up with all the pieces and accidentally added an extra fin onto her

So! Flower was named accordingly and I spent an extra 20 minutes carefully ripping the seam to sew her the correct way (ﾉωヾ)

Yellow ghost was next and I started playing around with something to cover up the center piece. I was really struggling to find a good way of stitching it on that wouldn't result in visible stitches/awkward positioning, and so I used an extra ring of black fleece to hide it. Honestly turned out looking really cool and I'm still pretty happy with how they turned out! Just wish I was a bit cleaner with the hot glue.

Red and white ghost was all about playing with acrylic paint to see how it'd react with the fleece. It takes some layering and I think I'm gonna be looking for a different paint to try since I'm not a fan of how much I have to layer it on in order for it to be opaque. But! The laurels could've turned out worse! They also make sound as well (darn you tumblr in only letting me upload one video at a time)!

Mardi, my nonbinary ghost, is the newest to the flock and I adore how they turned out. I named them because their colors kept reminding me of Mardi Gras, and so I named them after it. I've been itching to make ghost plushies based off of pride flags ever since I got a better at making sure every piece of my pattern fits together properly. The fins are all 3 pieces each, but for Mardi I had to cut one of those pieces in half, sew it together, then sew one white and one purple part to make the fin have the color differences you see above. A little scary but it turned out really well!! I also finally found a method of stitching I like for the core so yay! No more visible stitching!

I plan on making a trans flag one next, and maybe one inspired by a progress flag too at one point. A lot of pride flag ghosts require some careful mapping of fin colors so we'll see how much detail I can squeeze into these little guys <3
