Rereading Culling Games arc and some curious but noteworthy points:

Satoru asks that Yuuta look after the current 1st and 2nd years, especially Yuuji. Yuuta goes against this and joins forces with Yuji in ensuring Megumi's safety above all else HMMM

First name basis with Tsumiki HMMM

Clocks Megumi's distress before anyone else does while speaking with Tengen, and puts himself at risk to guarantee Tsumiki's freedom and Megumi's peace of mind HMMM

I think it's pretty clear Yuuta has a favourite. He's full on giving greater big brother vibes than Choso.

Yuuta: Maki says I play favorites with the first years but it isn’t true. I love Megumi and all the non-Megumis equally.

Yep, I do think he's super insecure. He has all the traits of one (at least in my opinion)

Someone who is secure about themselves would not put down others the way Naoya does—it's as easy as that.

As for what he's insecure about, I think it's because he never thought of himself as capable/adequate/worthy of those he admired, like Toji or Gojo. And in his defense, they are beasts when it comes to power, so it's really, really hard to ever get to their level, you know? Linking it to his abilities: he more likely than not resented the fact that he wasn't given a much more powerful technique—maybe even hoped he could've gotten the ten shadows? Sure, it's strong, but he really compare to his idols haha. And something tells me he wasn't even as strong as Naobito...

The only thing that managed to keep him at bay was the notion that he was going to become the next leader regardless of his technique, and for a while that might've been great because compared to other members, he really was the best. But when the whole "Fushiguro becoming the next clan leader" happened, AND WITH THAT TECHNIQUE, it made him snap. (wait, why were they so willing to get rid of him if he had that technique? guess they're the epitome of: if I can't have it, no one can)

It's a shame that he wasn't developed further outside of a cartoonish villain, relegated to hate Maki forever and ever. And talking about his technique, why is his domain expansion an uterus? idk i just hoped something better—but then again, I didn't really like his return and the whole arc where it happened, felt unnecessary to me (sorry, I'm ranting now lol)

But yep, Naoya is super insecure :> In more senses than one, and since he was brought in a very difficult environment where cursed techniques were everything, it would be no surprise to me he was very insecure about that too, mainly because of what I said: he could've gotten something better to put him on the level of Toji, Gojo, etc.

Please confirm my memory of the culling arc in JJK because I don't have time to reread it but I wanna test my knowledge lol

Okay so before it starts first Yuji and the others meet Tengen to dicuss a game plan and I believe Yuki + Choso stayed behind with Tengen while Yuji, Yuta, and Megumi would go to the underground fighting place to gather players? And Maki would go to get weapons where she would eventually do that massacre.

Anywho after that Megumi and Yuji and Panda fight Kirara and get her and Hakari on their side to play the culling game. Okay so I think there were two colonies??? Shibuya and Sendai I think. In the Sendai one i think Kenjaku led non-sorcerers out of the colony through their dreams or something.

Okay and then I believe Yuji and Megumi split up. Yuji first dealt with the helicopter-hair people and met up with a middle school classmate or something where he would get led to Higuruma, the "Im gonna expose ur crimes" guy.

While that goes on Megumi fights the girl with a stabby hair and a rich guy i forgot. Im pretty sure i have my chronological events wrong but whatever.

Uhh i think after that one of them racked up their points and made a new rule in the game? Idk.

Yuta dealt with like a huge cockroach and a partially invisible lady and another guy i forgot i think?? After that megumi (or yuji i forgot which) fought the receipt dude and yuji gained a new weird ally while fighting against someone.

I believe after that was the Kashimo (was that his name; the lightnjng dude?) vs Hakari

Hakari won and got Kashimo on his side as part of a deal to let him fight sukuna.

i couldve sworn rules were added but idk

I've been re-reading the manga (bc brainrot) so I can gladly try explaining it paragraph by paragraph and giving a final grade.

Paragraph 1: Yeah you pretty much got that all. Choso and Yuki stayed with big toe Tengen, Maki left for weapons and came back with the blood of her entire clan and Yuuji, Megumi and Yuta all went to be game participants but Yuuta left on his own.

Paragraph 2: Yep, Megumi and Yuuji both went to the fight club in order to get help from the third-years, Kirara and Hakari. Megumi's original plan was that Yuuji would start winning fights and grab the attention of Hakari so he can meet with him to discuss what's going on outside (y'know with the whole Gojo in a box thing). But Yuuji has to fight Panda who was already part of the fight club. Panda lets Yuuji win and Yuuji gets sent to Hakari, but Kirara smells something fishy and finds Megumi and Panda. They both have to fight and convince Kirara that they aren't opps from the higher ups at Juju Tech. Meanwhile, Hakari and Yuuji chat but Yuuji is obviously saying the script that Megumi taught him.

Hakari has the whole 'fever' thing so he senses that Yuuji isn't actually passionate and is just 'a cog in the system'. This brings them to the fight outside where Kirara has been convinced by Megumi and Panda but Hakari refuses to work with soulless ppl. This leads Yuuji to ask Hakari to hit him. So he does but chad Itadori takes them. Hakari senses a little fire in Yuuji so he agrees to join the party. Also he thinks Megumi is a good asset as Megumi was technically the heir of the zenin clan so Hakari thinks that it would be good for his fight club. Little does he know that Maki had exterminated her clan the day before. I'd give this paragraph 75%.

Oh yeah, Kenjaku was taking people out of the Sendai colony in their dreams. He also thanks one of Yuuji''s old friends and paranormal club member for looking after him. This was because the big sorcerers were there and Sendai technically has the biggest body count so you'd probably have to evacuate most people since they'd die and be rendered useless to Kenjaku's plan. In summary, there are 10 colonies and we've seen 3: Tokyo colony no.1, Tokyo colony no.2 and Sendai.

The plan the group made was: Yuuji and Megumi go and hunt for Higuruma the lawyer guy since he had over 100 points. Hakari and would go to find Kashimo (the lightning guy) since he was the one who racked up those points and already made a new rule ,to see every players profile with the amount of points they have. And Panda was to find Angel and negotiate with her.What the 4 need to do is to convince these players to help add more rules so they can fight back against Kenjaku. And I guess Kirara stays behind which is sad since I liked her technique.

Paragraph 3 + 4: Although Megumi and Yuuji both left the colony together, they were sent to different areas of Tokyo colony no.1 by Kogane. I assume this is because it'd be pretty useless if everyone went to just one colony and started killing each other, making the cursed energy only useful in one colony rather than equally between the ten so they just randomise where you end up. Yuuji has to deal with the spawn camping helicopter duo and pretty much defeats them. There he meets an old classmate who knew of Yuuji since Yuuji saved him once and agrees to take him to Higuruma. Megumi also lands in Tokyo colony no.1 but saves the spiky hair girl who wants him to be her knight in shining armour. She also agrees to take Megumi to Higuruma. But here's the thing, both of them say different locations which means one of them are lying.

Turns out Yuuji finds Higuruma bathing with his clothes on whilst Megumi met the rich guy (reggie star) and has to fight him. The fight with Yuuji goes first and we see more backstory on Higuruma (personally one of my favourite arcs) and Yuuji manages to convince him to use his points to add a new rule, to be able to transfer points among players. You were semi-right by saying Yuuji tries to get Higuruma to be an ally but he refuses saying that he'd feel even more guilty .Megumi has to fight a boat load of people but gains an ally, Takaba the comedian (you might have seen panels of his sheer dumbasssery). They win and Megumi who is on the brink of exhaustion, collapses in alleyway and is saved by Angel.

Paragraph 6: You're right that it is Yuta's arc and he is in Sendai colony (remember when I said it's the most bloodiest colony). Some background would be that there are 3 old-time sorcerers who have been reincarnated + a cockroach cursed spirit that could have been caught by either Suguru Geto or Kenjaku and are now in a stalemate for power. This has mostly been respected until Yuta comes in and kills one of the members (his name is Druv). This immediately makes them all shift their focus on Yuta as he tries to help evacuate more non-sorcerer people to safety. Unfortunately for him, since there were so many people it attracted the cockroach guy and they have to duke it out. He then kisses the cockroach and sends positive cursed energy at his head, therefore killing him.

He then starts fighting with Uro (the semi-invisible lady) but then Ishigoori (cannon hair guy) drops in to make this a three-way duel. Whilst the player cockroach is dead, the cursed spirit isn't so it kind of breaks the whole domain expansion thing the three were doing. This led Uro to shift her focus to the cockroach which Yuta took advantage of and got her from behind, but Ishigoori was the one to do the final hit on her with his granite blast. Now it is a 1 v 1 with Yuta and Ishigoori. Yuta wins this by recovering his technique, and using Uro's technique to shift Ishigoori's attack to the sky which goes back down to hit him directly. Uro and Ishigoori aren't dead but have to give all their points to Yuta, this is mostly thanks to Yuuji's new rule that transfers points among players. After that event Yuta has 200 points. This is in my top 3 personal favourite arcs which is the only reason I can remember most of it.

Paragraph 7: I'm gonna skim over this because I cannot FOR THE LIFE OF ME explain the Kashimo vs Hakari fight. So in basic Astra terms, Hakari first meets manga guy Charles Bernard where they go on a ferris wheel trip and Charles asks Hakari to make him hate him like a battle shonen, so Charles can have a reason to fight. They fight it out and Hakari wins by the power of his technique that I can't understand. We then shift to Panda where he's trying to find Angel but accidentally gets found by Kashimo. They duke it out but Kashimo wins but Panda is still alive. Cue Hakari dropping in and starting the fight epic fight between the two. Hakari wins the fight and agrees to to let Kashimo fight Sukuna which I am excited to see. The two come back to Charles and is met by Momo who tells them that they don't need to do rule #3 yet since Mei Mei's little brother can talk through colonies and Maki can enter and leave at will due to her 0 cursed energy. This leads to the next colony: Sakurajima.

And that's basically it for vol.19 to vol.21 of jjk. I think the culling game arc is way better reading all at once rather thank weekly because you get caught up in the smaller details and forget to look at the big picture. I'd say you have pretty good knowledge on vol.19 except Megumi's fight with Reggie which does have some importance later on in the story. You have decent knowledge on the Sendai colony arc but I think you'd need to look at vol.21 itself. I know there are videos that explain the colony battles I'd recommend Diavalo's ones on youtube which are about 1h long but are easy to listen to.

Overall score: 70/100 or B+

summary: It’s the beginning of the Kyoto Sister-School GoodWill Event and Gojo comes bringing some gifts for both the Kyoto students and Tokyo students. And let’s say Y/n has a lot of emotions when they figure out what’s in the box.

The sounds of trees swaying, the birds, the bugs all around you kept you in a calm state of mind. You were sitting on a tree branch. Your eyes closed. Occasionally, a ray of sunshine would graze your face through the trees. 

Today was the Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event. You were waiting for the rest of your classmates, and also waiting for the others from the Kyoto campus to greet them. 

There was still a gloomy mood in the air. It had been there since the news of Itadori's passing. You felt it was fate when you discovered that Yuji also was going to go to Jujutsu Tech. Your families were close when you were growing up. His grandpa was very kind to you and your family. You both attended different junior highs after your family moved, which is the reason you lost contact with him. Seeing an old friend again was great. But it didn't last as long as you had hoped. 

You started to hear chatter from down below. 

“Why are you all empty-handed?!” Nobara yelled. 

“What are you doing with all the luggage?” You heard Panda say. You finally opened your eyes and stretched your arms. You watched your classmates talking to each other. Nobara was holding a bag and suitcase. You decided to stay in the trees for a little longer watching. 

“For the exchange event with our sister school in Kyoto?” Nobara was genuinely confused. 

“It’s an exchange event with our sister school in Kyoto... Held in Tokyo.” Panda explained. 

“No way!” Nobara screamed, frustrated that we were going to Kyoto. You started to chuckle slightly. 

They started talking about Yuuta Okkotsu and how it was an overwhelming win last year. You haven’t met him yet. But you hear some things from the second years about him.

“Where is Y/n?” Megumi looked around. I guess that’s my cue, you thought. 

“I don’t know, but they are probably-

Jumping out of the tree, you landed next to Nobara, causing her to jump in fear. Panda and Inumaki laughed as a result. Maki shrugged and hid her smile. Megumi looked indifferent; this was nothing new for him. He had grown used to your antics. 

“Here.” You smiled at them all. 

“Y/n! Why do you always do that? You are going to give me a heart attack. You’re so quiet.” Nobara yelled at you. 

You smiled and laughed, “ Sorry I have to keep everyone on their toes.” 

You greeted everyone and signed a few things in JSL for Inumaki. You stood next to Megumi and lightly elbowed him. His eyes were fixed on you and he gave you a slight nod. 

“Heard you looking for me?” You give Megumi a smirk. 

Megumi was about to say something but was cut off. 

“Hey. They’re here.” Maki says getting everyone’s attention. Everyone turned and saw the Kyoto students walking towards you all. With Utahime-sensei following after.

Having gathered everyone, it was only a waiting game for Gojo. He wasn't here yet. It was typical of him to be late. Panda announces Gojo, and right on cue. We are turning our heads, we see Gojo Satoru coming at us with a cart. You shook your head at your sensei.

“Sorry for the wait!” Gojo cheerfully says. He walks over to the Kyoto students and hands them all protective charms. 

“And for everyone from Tokyo, we have this!” He spins around the cart that he had brought with him. And right before you can even think of what possibly could be in that box, your question was answered. 

Itadori pops out of the box that Gojo sensei rolled out with him. 

Even more questions race through your mind. Slightly malfunctioning at the sight you were seeing in front of you. 

Megumi and Nobara catch your eye. Each of them looks pale as a sheet. Second-year students looked uncomfortable and unsure of what was going on, feeling awkward. The Kyoto students were barely paying attention, still looking at the charms Gojo had given them. You even looked at Gojo, and all he had on his face was a stupid smile. 

But honestly, you would be the same with your fellow first years except for some reason your reaction was just to laugh. 

While everyone stared at you, you laughed hard and clutched your stomach. You started walking towards Itadori. You couldn't stop laughing despite the tears falling down your face. It was impossible to figure out what was going through your mind. Finally, you reached Itadori. 

“Y/n, are you okay?” Itadori asks hesitantly. 

However, you were unable to respond. After you stopped laughing, all you could do was hug Itadori, which surprised him and everyone else. He returned the hug. Your hands clenched firmly around the back of his uniform. 

He was alive. Tears were still running down your face, but you smiled anyway. 

Nobara kicks the box that Itadori was in and tells him something but you couldn’t make out exactly because your mind was racing. You let go of Itadori. 

You see principals Gakuganji and Masamichi coming over and Gojo annoying them. 

I need to lay down, you thought. You decided you would meet everyone in the waiting room. You needed some time to gather your thoughts. There was so much going on around you that you knew you had to refocus. You couldn't be fully in the zone due to your curse energy being out of whack. 

The last thing you wanted was an episode during whatever task was given to for the event. You were able to keep it in check, but there were still some things to work on. 

“I’m sorry... for keeping quiet about being alive,” Itadori said. 

Megumi and Nobara kept talking to Itadori. 

Masamichi begins talking and explains what was going to happen at today’s event. But you honestly weren’t paying attention. All you could do was stare at Yuji. 

Finally, it was your chance to go. 

“I will see you guys in the waiting room.” You murmured and started walking. Everyone looked at you not fully understanding what you said completely. Everyone thought you were taking this new information hard. And probably you were, but all you really can think of is that you wanted to just lay down. 

Everything at the moment didn’t feel real--even with the confirmation that he was there with the hug. Nothing felt real. 

“Y/n-chan, where are you going?~” Gojo follows you. 

“Stop following me, Gojo. I lost focus-I need to mentally prepare myself again. And I’m mad at you.” You pouted.

“Oh come on. You’re not mad at me.~” Gojo said stopping you from walking, blocking your walkway. You both were some distance from everyone. “And I wasn’t the only one that knew. Nanami knew too.” 

“But you knew…” You simply said to your sensei. You looked at Gojo. He leans forward and whispers something into your ear. 

You shifted your eyes to the side. You listened to every word Gojo whispered into your ear. You felt his hand slide into yours. A piece of paper was in your hand and you slowly clutched it and hid your hand. 

“So I’m not going to be part of the Kyoto Sister School event anymore…but-” 

“There is always next time Y/n-chan. This is something I need you to do.” 

Here we go again. You thought. 

You sigh, “But fine...You owe me though.” You continued walking again to the school, you turned your head around. “And years of therapy Gojo, you keep putting me in these kinds of situations.” 

“You’re the best!” Gojo says cheerfully. You shook your head.

“Wait, so Y/n is not joining us anymore?” Nobara asked everyone. 

“Nope.” You scrolled into the waiting room answering the question. “Now that Yuji is here. I’m not participating anymore.” You sat down next to Itadori. 

“What! I feel bad now.” Itadori glanced at you and rubbed the back of his neck. 

“Don’t-plus. I’m leaving. I have to do something for the dummy anyways.” You stood up after a little while. “Good luck everyone. Hope you all win.” You smile at everyone. Inumaki signs you asking if you are okay. You nodded and signed back to him. 

You said your goodbyes to everyone. You walked out of the waiting room and took a few steps away from the door. 

Alone in the hallway, you hold out the paper that Gojo slipped you. It was an address. 

“What is Satoru making you do?” You flinched when you heard Megumi’s voice. 

“Secret.” You changed your demeanor and said it in a teasing way. Crumbling the paper into your hand again. 

Megumi just looked at you. “Fine.” He places his hand on your head. “Be safe,” he said before he removed his hand and went back into the room with everyone else. 

“I will.” You muttered and you were off to this secret location.

idk if ur taking asks abt jjk but i was curious on ur thoughts abt gojo i haven’t rlly heard this around but i’ve been thinking abt the fact that gojo desire to basically indoctrinate children to fit his ideal sorcerer society is a bit strange and i saw this on your meta on how the schools only see these kids as tools but doesn’t gojo do the same idk my thoughts are everywhere and i get that gojo was raised in this system so it’s normalised in his eyes but idk gojo’s ideology is lowkey fucked imo and i was curious what u thought

I think Gojo is a product of the same society that raises up kids to be used as tools, and he unintentionally passes that lesson onto his students.Gojo knows that the system is wrong for using kids that way, but he’s such a fundamental part of the system, he doesn’t really know how to overcome it works inside of it instead.  I think what he said to Megumi is pretty telling of how he treats these kids in general, he tells him you better get strong or else you’ll get left behind.” He thinks he’s teaching them what’s best, because that’s how Gojo understands the world works, but at the same time he’s telling a five year old kid if he fails to protect his sister it’s all his fault. 

Gojo teaches his students to “get stronger, get stronger” as a response for all of their problems. He takes responsibility for their development as sorcerers, but nothing else really, and especially not their well-being as individuals. Gojo basically treats his students like mini-adults, friends he can pal around with, and that makes sense if you think about it, he’s raising them all to be political allies.  He’s not really trying to raise a bunch of healthy adults. I think Gojo genuinely does care for these kids and stick out his neck to protect them, and his goal is entirely an altruistic one to prevent the childhoods of other children from getting destroyed like his did. However, Gojo is fatally a selfish person just like Geto is fatally selfless, he doesn’t offer help out of the goodness of his heart, he barters. He always expects something in return from these children.

So, on one level I believe Gojo yes is intentionally using these children. He only extends help when he gets something in return from them, his helps is always conditional on the fact that he’ll gain another ally. However, at the same time I think the problem more lies in the fact that Gojo doesn’t see individual people as individuals, and therefore doesn’t want to pay attention to the indivdual emotions of his students that he ends up using his students this way. He thinks it’s fine. This is how he was used  growing up, but this time, Gojo is using them for good ends instead of a bad one. 

I think Gojo’s inability to take care of their needs as individuals, especially attending to their emotional needs is why Tokyo Students are so strong indivudally, but weak as a group. Gojo’s only interesting in fostering their strength as sorcerers, not their emotional health, or their interpersonal relationships, because he doesn’t view those things as necessary. I mean he’s only had one best friend his whole life, and look at him, he’s fine. 

To give evidence to my argument though, here’s a comparison between the Tokyo Kids and the Kyoto Kids. 

1. Tokyo vs Kyoto

Gojo can be a fantastic teacher when he wants to be, but it requires him paying attention to a student’s individual needs, which he almost never does. When he designs a lesson plan raound Yuji, he does two things that make him better than most Jujutsu Sorcerers already. First, most traditional teachers teach that cursed technique is everything, and would have rejected Yuji outright. Whereas Gojo sees Yuji’s strength as a brawler. He’s willing to go outside the box, and buck tradition to focus on a student’s individual strength and emphasize those rather than telling Yuji he’ll never be a strong sorcerer without strong techniques. The second is he comes up with a method extremely suited to Yuji’s learning style. 

However, I think it’s important to note that Yuji and Gojo are actually really similiar. He’s a really receptive student who hangs off of Gojo’s every word. For Gojo it’s like him teaching a younger version of himself, someone who believes that strength is everything, and wants to become the strongeste to be a pillar of support to others. You don’t really get good teacher points for spending the most time with someone who’s easy to teach.

And even  with Yuji whose really really receptive to Gojo’s highly individual focused learning style, there are several things that Gojo just neglects to teach or even mention. Basic, fundamental things, that every sorcerer should know. 

Nanami has to go out of his way to give Yuji the 101, because Gojo neglected to tell him all the basics. Children are smart of course, especially adolescents who are capable of thinking for themselves, but they also generally know what they’ve been taught up to this point. Yuji is a complete newcomer to the sorcerery world, it makes sense he’d basically be a blank slate having to learn all of this from scratch, but Gojo himself either doesn’t know this, or doesn’t bother with it because it’s too troublesome. He thinks of the kids as miniature adults so, it would make sense that he just assumes they know everything he knows already.

That’s the entire point of introducing Nanami into the story. Gojo teaches Yuji to be a better sorcerer, but not to be an adult, and it’s because he doesn’t really see him as a child to begin with. Gojo thinks becoming a strong sorcerer is the way to teach these kids to be good adults, but he neglects the emotional half of having to teach because Gojo doesn’t deal with emotions well. I mean, even in his training of Yuji, he designs a training method where Gojo doesn’t actually have to be there, and present with him most of the time. He can lock him in a room, and go run off to do Gojo things while Yuji teaches himself. As opposed to a mentor like Nanami who constantly watches and monitors his development. 

This is where we start to get to the comparison with the Kyoto students. Because even in the creaive way Gojo taught Yuji, there were some things that Yuji just learned wrong, and internalized wrong from Gojo’s lesson.

Gojo explained the theory behind Yuji’s divergent fist, but Yuji learned it wrong, because he didn’t understand the way cursed energy flowed through the body. If Gojo was paying attention, he would have caught it and corrected it, but Gojo’s teaching style is sink or swim, let students learn or fall entirely on their own. Whereas, when Todo actually sees Yuji’s flawed divertgent fist, he’s able to point out the problem.

Todo actually acknowledges that there’s a difference between beginners and elite sorcerers, that their’s a learning curve to these things, and rather than leaving Yuji to learn it on his own he guides him through these things. While at the same time, expecting Yuji to figure out some things naturally. Todo never once goes easy on Yuji, I’d say his standards for people are as harsh as Gojo’s. You either learn it or you don’t. You’re either strong or you’re not. However, there’s a distinct difference between Todo and Gojo’s teaching styles, and it’s that Todo is emotionally intelligent, and Gojo is not.

Todo pays attention to people, he notices when they’re off, when they’re going through something, and rather than just ignore it, he almost immediately addresses it and tries to talk them thorugh it. It’s not perfect of course, but having his emotions paid attention to, helps Yuji develop as a person moreso than a sorcerer. 

The Kyoto students have a teacher who pays attention to their individual needs. A teacher who actually teaches. While we may not know much about Utahime as a character yet, you can see the direct impact she has on her students compared to Gojo.

Gojo’s students are individually strong, but weak as a team,. Utahime’s students are much weaker individually, but can come together.

It shows both in the Kyoto Battle Event, but also the Shibuya arc. The Kyoto kids are all unstable it’s true, they’re all prone to lashing out, but because they’ve dealt with such dark emotions rather than repressing them they’re also way more capable of talking about their feelings to others.

Yes, the Kyoto kids don’t deserve to lash out at whoever they want. Yes, lashing out is a bad way to attempt communication. However, it’s also true that the Tokyo kids respond with what basically amounts to self-righteousness. The Kyoto kids are lashing out because they are going through something, because they’re suffering, yet the Tokyo kids don’t really try to understand those feelings. 

Kamo was seperated from his mother at a young age. Maki left Mai behind in an abusive household. Nobara has never experienced the same abuse that Mai has so she’s not really in a position to judge which twin she thinks is the good twin, and which is the bad one. Mechamaru is chronically ill and in constant agony, and then instead of getting him medical help he’s just being used as a toy soldier. 

So.  The problem is. Gojo’s style of teaching. He wants these kids to be political allies. He wants them to try to make a better world than the one he experienced growing up. However, Gojo doesn’t really teach them to think for themselves. He doesn’t teach them to look at the situation, and the way the Jujutsu World is designed to manipulate and use these children.

Individual responsibiltiy is a good lesson to teach. Individual responssibility can help someone get over themselves and their issues and work towards self improvement, but it’s also, not the only solution. It’s also, impossible to overcome these circumstances all on their own. 

Mai can’t be strong like Maki. She’s not weak for folding under the pressure of being in an abusive household. You could even argue that Maki isn’t stronger than her abuse, because emotionally she’s weak, she can’t even maintain a relationship with her own sister she has to cut herself off from everyone. 

Kamo has to follow the clan’s orders, he’s terrified they’ll hurt his mother and he’ll never see her again. She’s actively being used as a tool to manipulate them. 

Mechamaru is already strong as a sorcerer, that’s not going to stop the fact that he’s chronically ill. 

Basically, in this regard Gojo’s students repeat what Gojo himself always says. “Have you tried getting stronger?” We can see why this approach doesn’t work with Kokichi, because he did do what Gojo would always reccomend. He didn’t want to burden others with his emotions so he tried to be strong and solve everything on his own, and that resulted in his death.

Think if Mechamaru had been supported. If he thought it was okay to confide his problems with others, if it was okay for him to be weak, and ask for help when he didn’t know what to do on his own.

However, when he tried to do that with panda he just got slapped with a “Your behavior is wrong.” It’s why even when telling people, especially children their behavior is wrong you also need to be sure to take care of their emotional needs as well. Especially teenagers, because teenagers are literally all emotions, they’re not minitature, fully-developed adults. Kokichi was wrong to lash out, but his emotions were right. He has every right to be in pain. When he’s told off, he also takes that as a message that he’s weak for trying to confide anything in others, that him complaining about his victimhood made him weak in the first place, so what does Kokichi do. He retreates into himself, he quiets down about his problems, he tries to solve everything on his own and he fails at doing that because you can’t. You cannot solve all your problems by simply being stronger than them. 

Gojo’s students aren’t raised as emotionally healthy individuals, and because of that they also can’t really relate to the emotions of other people, especially the negative one. They are, strong willed individuals yes, strong sorcerers, yes, but they’re not really a team. 

I think that’s illustrated in how they all fall apart in Shibuya. All of Gojo’s students basically make the same mistake, they don’t listen to the adults, they charge into battle because “I’m strong enough.” 

Nobara, the adults literally all told you not to fight. Nobara: Nah it’s fine I’m strong.

Look at how Nobara loses. The second she starts fighting with Yuji as a team, she makes a sloppy mistake because she 1) underestimated her opponent and 2) was never taught how to fight in a team. 

It’s not just Nobara though it’s every single one of them.

Yuji runs off on his own, fights on his own, and loses to Choso.  Megumi suicide attacks to take down one (1) opponent whose just a regular curse user when he reaches his limit. 

This is what they are all taught. They all have to fight on their own, be strong on their own, and if they’re strong enough they’ll win, if they’re not strong enough oh well. The Tokyo Kids genuinely like each other as a team but they’re always running away from each other. They all overestimate themselves and what they’re capable of handling and get in over their heads. 

And it does go back to the Kyoto Battle arc, because the Tokyo kids are just as emotionally disturbed as the Kyoto kids, they just are repressed about it. Take Megumi for example, Megumi has been abandoned and neglected all of his life, and Gojo never really offered him any support or healing for that abandonment.

There’s no canon indication that Gojo ever raised Megumi or did anything with him other than provide for housing, and protect him from the Zenin clan on the condition that Megumi STILL BECOME A SORCERER, JUST ONE POLITICALLY ALLIGNED FOR HIM AND NOT THE ZENIN. 

He didn’t offer Megumi a chance at a normal life, or even help him grow up as an individual because Gojo’s not interested in these things. Gojo’s help is conditional on the fact that Megumi work hard to pay him back, and reach his full potential as a sorcerer. As a result, Megumi is walking around with completely unaddressed abandonment issues as a result of never having a stable adult in his life, and this goes, completely unnoticed, which leads to him constantly risking his own life, endangering and harming himself. Megumi’s just as unstable  as the Kyoto kids, he’s going to do something dangerous someday soon. It’s just Megumi’s been taught from a young age, he has to be the responsible one in his household, and he has to take responsibility for everything on his own by working to become stronger, and look like where that has led him.

Hmm, I wonder why Megumi always feels like it’s his responsibility to sacrifice, what could have possibly led him ot that conclusion? Why does he feel so responsible for the actions of other people around him? It’s a geuine mystery.

However, the Kyoto kids are capable of doing something the Tokyo kids can’t do. They can cry and be weak in front of other people. They can support each other as a group. Not only did they help Miwa at her lowest point, but Yuji would have given up, had Todo not shown up when he did. 

Yuji actually wasn’t capable of handling it all on his own. He couldn’t defeat Mahito just by being stronger than him, or having a strong will. 

Individualism like Gojo teaches is important, but it’s also incomplete. It’s only half the solution. The Tokyo kids need the camraderie of the Kyoto kids, the same way the Kyoto kids need to learn to take responsibility for themselves.

That’s why the Shibuya arc ends the way it does. The Tokyo kids failing as individuals, and the Kyoto kids coming together as team. However, since both sides only have half the answer, neither side is able to defeat Kamo Sr. totally.

However, Gojo’s mistakes are shown even more clearly after the arc resolves. Gojo doesn’t actually teach people to think for themselves, because he’s raising them up to follow his politics. Now, look at what his students are doing in his absence. Gojo wants to fix the broken world, but Yuji’s conclusion he comes too after suffering is that he doesn’t want to think about fixing the world. He just wants to become another cog in the machine.

What was the greatest mistake the previous generation made?

Geto. Not only in exposing him to the trauma of Riko dying in front of him. But also, offering him no support a year afterwards.  Yaga completely neglecting him and failing to see what was going wrong. Then, when Geto finally did break, sending another student to kill him.

Yaga really can’t understand why this eighteen year old would hestiate to kill this other eighteen year old, that’s been his best and only friend for three years.  Why is this child not comfortable with an execution mission? It baffles the mind.

Gojo, by failing to raise his students as emotionally healthy individuals repeats the same mistake.

Yuta and Yuji both don’t really care about the world around them, or politics. They don’t pay attention to those things, they weren’t raised to do that. However, now because of that, because both are willing to become cogs in the machine they’re both letting themselves beused right now. 

They refused to think for themselves, so now the elders are manipulating them into a conflict against each other. Yuta because he doesn’t see the situation at large, he only wants to protect his friends. Yuji, because the only way he thinks he has value is by killing curses, he’s just going to keep blindly executing them until Yuta comes to kill him. Gojo’s students are divided specially because of that reason. They’re not together as a group, they’re just a group of particularly strong individuals, and Gojo never even thought that these strong individuals with no particular connection to each other might turn against each other. They might lie to each other. They might keep secrets from each other. They might fail to communicate. Because, Gojo doesn’t really pay attention to complex relaitonships like that. He’s only had his one friend his whole life. 

Even though that’s also exactly what happened to his one and only friend, his emotional needs were neglected by the system around him until he completely fell apart. Geto and Gojo’s problem wasn’t that they weren’t “the strongest” when they were together. It’s that they were never “together” again after a certain point.

So, I’m guessing that person was Megumi this whole time... but where? My guess is that he’s at the hospital; the one where his sister is at. I can’t believe I never saw that glitch.

Volume 2:

Again, I believe he is at the hospital just waiting for his sister. However, he looks like a glitch. Lol idk why but the way he’s drawn kinda reminds me of you know when your foot falls asleep? Maybe he been sitting there for awhile his whole body just felt that tingly feeling. Haha idk it sounded funnier in my head. Please ignore that! Anyway! He is sitting in a position where he is waiting, worried, and thinking. He is sitting there waiting for his sister, worried for his sister, and thinking about when she is going to wake up. But also, in Volume 2 is where Yuji dies and Megumi is fighting against Sukuna. I have a 100% thag Megumi talks about everything that goes on in his life since he couldn’t really talk about it with Tsumiki when she was alive. But now, since Yuji died in that Volume, Megumi lost two people dear to him. So he pacts up more waiting, worried, and thinking.

Volume 15:

Now... as we move on here.. this is the same hospital in Volume 2 and guess who it was sitting Megumi this whole time. Who fucking knew right? I believe that this arc is gonna involve Fushi hella a lot more than he already is.

But look at his face:

He looks tired. My boy is tired. Imagine having to wake up to the aftermath of everything of the Shibuya Arc:

- Nanami death

- Inumaki’s arm

- Maki on the brinks lf death

- Noabra’s eye (or if she is alive)

- Sukuna killing innocent people because of Megumi

- Him fighting his dad (if he finds out)

- Yuuta being Yuji’s executioner

- Gojo in the box and not with him/Tsumiki

- Tsumiki waking up and is a curse

- Yuji running away

All that... So again, my boy is tired. He has so much on his plate and guilt. Maybe in that extra page he is leaving the hospital from visiting his sister and him going after Yuji. He probably did a small catch up with her and jsit had to find Yuji. And now when he finds Yuji there is going to be more trouble.

- His tio (uncle in Spanish) is trying to kill him so he can be head of the Zenin clan.

- Plus, Megumi finding out that he is the head of the clan becasue of his father. But, then again, Gojo isn’t dead.

So, honestly, I am very excited to see what this arc is going to do with Megumi. I hope it’s about him developing everything about himself and being strong. He is such a good fuckin character man.

When we could still physically attend mass I used to keep myself from laughing everytime one of the church staff would come up on the podium and ask for money again.

Who is someone you are struggling to forgive, if applicable? I don’t struggle to forgive. I just don’t forgive. If someone does me wrong I just do my best to block them out of my memories, get into the mindset that they never existed, and live peacefully from there.

Have you ever had someone try to intentionally bully you to suicide? I don’t think so, at least not intentionally. My mom always did it unintentionally though, especially in my tween and teen years. She was always very harsh with her words and actions (she still is, but we don’t butt heads as often anymore). I didn’t have a very good emotional foundation mainly thanks to her and I had to claw my own way to get to be the much more stable self I am today.

Just when she was washing her hands she noticed something on the ground, it almost looked like a thermometer…

But the test…and in the bathroom…

She stumbles back into the bedroom, you’re still sleeping.

She gingerly places the test in a cupboard for later, to confront you tomorrow, as she tries to get some sleep.

The next morning she’s a mess, butter fingers, dropping things, and always not exactly meeting your eye contact.

Finally she just has to bring it out an show it to you.

She turns to you with shaky hands,“S/o…I don’t believe this….please this has to be wrong right?”

You blink, and look at what she has in her hands, “No that’s correct.”

She drops the pregnancy test, “No…you…you… why?”

You stare at her for a second, and then you realize what she meant.

“Oh, No! I’m not pregnant!”

“Hu-huh?” Kaede is trembling, tears stain the corners of her eyes.

“I was helping a friend yesterday, Oh Kaede, I’m not pregnant I would never do that to you...”

Kaede sighs in relief, “Oh thank god…”

You rub her hands in your own, “I’m sorry if I scared you, I’m not pregnant, I would never be.”

She gulps back a sob, “Yeah. I know.”

“Liar.”

“O-okay maybe I was a little bit scared…”

You give her a hug, “I love you Kaede, I wouldn’t take anyone else in this world.”

He hugs back, happy tears now springing slightly, “I love you too s/o.”

Maki Harukawa:

She’s up in the early hours of the morning, not really sure why she’s up herself.

She’s been sitting in darkness for a while, not moving, just thinking.

Eventually she decided to get up and get something to drink, sitting in the kitchen and hearing the night sounds fill her ears.

Once she’s finished, she doesn’t feel even a little bit tired so she walks into the bathroom, filling through the medicine cabinet in search of some sleeping pills.

A pregnancy test box falls out, it (almost) catches her off guard.

She catches it, turning it over in her hand.

Why would you two have that in here??

Placing the box messily back in the cabinet, she checks the trash bin and sure enough there’s a pregnancy test there.

She picks it up, her mind feeling blank as she recognizes the two lines burned into her mind, she stares at it until her mind blurs the image and she’s feeling nothing but rage.

She crunches the item in her hand, storming up to the bedroom.

She throws on a sweater and some pants, and begins rabidly shoving items into a bag.

With all her rustling she wakes you.

Her eyes almost look feral as she meets yours. “I’m leaving.”

You stumble out of bed, almost in a shock as she moves around, not looking at you.

Why you ask her why she just growls, “How about you ask your secret boyfriend about that.”

You’re even more confused, and scared, telling her that there’s no boyfriend.

“Ok, sure. Well have fun raising a kid or getting an abortion.” She hisses, still packing her things.

“What? I’m not?” Then you remember your friend. “Oh my god noooo, Maki that tester wasn’t for me.”

She pauses, even if she doesn’t believe in people often, she’s still trusting your words.

You explain to her that the test was for your friend, who came over when she was out of the house. In the whole situation you ended up just shoving it in the cabinet, and she must have just tossed it away in the trash.

 She inhales, “You aren’t pregnant?”

“No.”

“You aren’t cheating on me?”

“No, I would never.”

She sighs in relief, dropping her bags and drawing you into a hug. “Ok.”

“Ok, I love you.”

“Me too.” She mumbles. “I’m happy….you still want me.”

“Of course I would.”

“Okay.” She nods, hugging you tighter until the tears that threaten to spring stop and she can lay down and finally go to sleep.

Iruma Mui:

She had lost a small part on one of the machines she was working on, she had checked everywhere, but she still couldn’t find it.

So she was digging in the trash bin, flinging away bits and pieces of plastic and metal, when out comes the tester.

She stares at it for a moment, of course she knows what it is, but it startles her as to why it would be there.

She picks it up, caring no mind to sanitation as she inspects it further.

It’s marked positive, she laughs.

“Looks like some slut got impregnated by her pre-mature weed smoking boyfriend.” She cackles.

She feels sorry for the person, or people, who are now stuck with this bab-

Wait.

It’s in…the trashcan…but the only people who live here are- you and herself. And she sure as hell didn’t take it so…

She realizes that you’re the one who used it, and she goes still for a minute.

Just imagining that you cheated on her…you…didn’t want to be with her anymore and you needed the feeling of a coc-

There’s a knock at her door and she jumps.

She quickly fumbles with the test tube and hides it behind her back just as the door swings open.

“H-hi S/o, what are you doing here hm?” she nervously gets out.

As the conversation goes on she keeps fidgeting, always keeping her hands behind her back and smiling brightly, though, it doesn’t reach her eyes.

Finally you ask if she’s ok, and she nearly falls over, quickly sputtering about how there’s nothing wrong and that you don’t need to worry about an-

You reach behind her, and she squeaks as you pull the pregnancy test out from her fingers.

“I-It’s alright, I k-know that you o-obviously like someone who’s betterthanmeandthat’sreallyfinebecauseI’mnevergoingtobeasgoodassomeonelikethat.”

You tell her that this pregnancy test isn’t yours, it’s your friend’s who you helped to take.

She pauses, mouth hanging open before she breaks out into laughter.

She loudly exclaims that she knew all along that you weren’t cheating on her! She was just joking!

You roll your eyes, and she keeps laughing.

But she’s really relieved that you aren’t cheating on her, so much so that she goes out of her way that night to show you how much she loves you.

Toujo Kiruimi:

She’s cleaning, as usual. Sweeping the floors, dusting, doing the laundry, daily chores.

While going throwing out the garbage she notices something odd fall out.

She picks it up with a gloved hand- it’s a pregnancy test.

Not only that, but it’s a positive pregnancy test.

She gasps, managing to place the test away from the other remaining trash she throws out before sitting down with the test in her hand.

Ok…no need to be alarmed, there could be multiple logical reasons to why that would be in the trash…

S/o wouldn’t cheat on her, there must be some sort of reason.

She’ll talk with you when you return home and so she returns back to her job.

Her hands lightly shake at times and she feels queasy as time goes by, but she continues to work until you return home.

She’s already cleaned herself up and has situated herself on the couch.

“S/o, I need to ask you something.”

You two are both sitting on the couch, she doesn’t hold your hand but she’s more than capable of supporting herself on her own.

She beats around the bush for a bit��talking about how she was cleaning at first and looking here and there and how she found the test..

But then she finally just says: “This, you aren’t pregnant are you?”

You assure her that you are definitely not pregnant. You would never do that.

You explain that it was for your friend, who used it in your bathroom and they threw it out after they used it.

She sighs in relief, rubbing her sweaty hands on her dress. “I see. Thank you for explaining.”

You give her a small peck and rub her hand gently. “No problem love.”

“Still, will your friend be ok? I know that some people who…experiment early can get into a lot of trouble…”

You snicker at her refusal to say ‘Sex’ or even ‘fuck’. “They’ll be fine. Don’t worry.”

She nods, entwining her fingers with yours. “Ok.”

Better them then you though.

Shirogane Tsumigi:

She had gone to throw something out in the trash, but something caught her eye.

Small and cylindrical…almost like what the safety needles she used to use as a kid, but bigger.

She picks it up, throwing the trash in as she does so.

And then she realizes that it is and she drops it, screaming.

(Mostly because she realized someone must have pissed on it but also because she knows what it must mean)

Despite her shock she returns to her work for a bit, to stall for time and trying to let her mind chew up the information, trying to find a way out of the situation.

It’s so…surreal to her, like something you read in a manga or see in an anime.

She knows because she uh…well, she knows a lot…let’s just say…

With the tester in a plastic bag, plastic gloves on and  tongs in her hands, she shuffles up to you.

“S/o…this..” she gives the bag a jiggle. “I found this in the trashcan.”

“Oh that’s-“

“I understand that…you had intercourse with a male and now and the father will leave, therefore causing you to chase him down on some drama dna test show and then you find out that he isn’t the father and-”

“Tsumigi, that isn’t mine.”

She pauses, “What?”

“It’s my friends, I helped her while you were working- I’m not pregnant.”

“Oh.” She sighs, of relief and bevause no drama will go down, though she’s a bit saddened by that. She hugs you, content that you still want someone as plain and as strange as her.

“Love you.”

You hug her back, “I love you too.”

Tenko Chabashira:

Honey, you’ve got a big storm coming.

She sees it and the first thing she’s thinking is that some menace had sex with a beautiful female and that they don’t deserve her.

She puffs her chest in triumph, thinking that her wonderful, beautiful s/o made the right choice and chose a girl like herself.

Her day carries on, it takes her a while for her to actually realize what it must mean.

She stops, mid kick in the middle of her training session. The gears turn before they finally click.

Oh.

Oh.

OH.

OHOHOHOHOHOH.

She’s running out of there as fast as she can, not stopping or slowing for breath until she reaches you.

Then the words tumble out of her mouth in a frenzy.

“S/O TENKO NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A PREGNENCY TEST IN THE BATHROOM AND AT FIRST TENKO WAS DISGUSTED AND THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT MALE DEGENERATE MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO A PURE WOMAN BUT THEN TENKO RELIZED THAT YOU MUST BE THE ONE TO HAVE THIS PREGNANCY TEST AND TENKO WANTS TO KNOW WHY WOULD YOU LET A MALE DEGENERATE MENANCE DO THAT TO YOU DID HE RAPE YOU? DID HE FORCE YOU TO HAVE SE-”

You have to tell her to calm down, that the pregnancy test belonged to your friend.

“Oh. Ohhhhhhh….”

Immediately deflation, she wraps you in a bear hug, ssaying how glad she is.

You chuckle, hugging her back, telling her that you only love her, as long as she needs to hear it.

Himiko Yumeno

“N-nehh…?” Shes groggy with sleep, rubbing her eyes and looking at the knocked over trash can.

“S/o…..why is there a robot tampon in the bathrooooommm…?” she calls, you coming into the washroom to see what the commotion was all about.

You tell her that it’s not a tampon, it’s a pregnancy test.

“Why is It in our bathroom….?” She hasn’t really put two in two together yet.

You fill in the blanks for her, saying it was your friends, who was pregnant.

“Nehh….children are a pain….” She mumbled, scooting over to you, flopping in your arms.

You pat her on the head, leading her back to the bed, and letting her sleep again.

She was never worried you were cheating on her in the first place.

Angie Yonaga:

owo what’s this?

She plucks it between her fingers, crouching and cocking her head, almost like a bird as she examines it.

It’s a pregnancy test? Meaning babies!

She jumps up, rushing to your side immediately, bouncing around and exclaiming about how kamisama has made you pregnant! And that you two will have a holy baby!

“N-no…angie that’s not-“

BABIES.

YOU TWO ARE HAVING BABIES.

It takes you hours to finally explain to her that you are not pregnant, and that you won’t be having kids any time soon.

By then, she’s a little disappointed, but thinking about it she really doesn’t care about being a mother.

Which is probably for the best, seeing as she acts like a child herself half the time.

FRIDAY TRI-DAY

[I HAD PLANS to make a giant Tri predictions thread with tons of proof for my ideas and theories and then... school happened. Suddenly, it’s the day before [well, technically it’s today] that Tri 5 comes out and everything got away from me. Really. I just failed a reading quiz before plugging my payment information into crunchyroll and logging on to write this up. I had all summer. With that being said, I still want to briefly type some predictions up just for the satisfaction of being able to expand on this post should anything I have to say become relatively true. I swear I’ve thought all these out, don’t @ me. Tri spoilers (given PVs and the first 5 mins) below the cut:]

Before I get started, I wrote out more detailed thoughts on Shoushitsu here. A lot of my thoughts build off what I had to say there so... yeah. Alrighty, let’s do this.

I bet you all a million dollars that they’re not in the digital world- not the one they know, anyways. If you look closely at the beginning of Shoushitsu, right after the title screen, the film takes us through a weird dark dimension where you can see those strange floating planet-virus shapes if you squint hard enough. I don’t think they’re in the digital world. Unsure if these are technically the *same* partners. I just... I got the vibe while watching Shoushitsu that ...too many things were off. I can’t get deep about it right now. As something to back this up though, in one of the recent games, Meicoomon is featured searching for Meiko and she talks about different dimensions. 

With THAT being said...

I bet that finding out an entire version of *reality*- one with a cute, snuggly, untraumatized Tailmon freed from torturous memories of Vamdemon and Wizarmon- isn’t real would totally drive Hikari nuts. Shoushitsu made a point of showing us that Hikari likes this new reality, at least for her partner’s sake. It seemed like she was the only one seriously considering that this situation might be better than what they had before. Perhaps this is enough to push her over the edge? I have my doubts that it’s something to do with Taichi, although something may happen to him. I just don’t think he’s the trigger, as many of the PVs haven’t been reflective of actual order-of-events imo.

I think the original battle between Maki, Daigo et al and the dark masters was the digital world’s version of Ragnarok. I think Yggdrasil already reset the digital world. I think that Daigo’s partner, along with the 3 others were chosen to cross over into the new world while Maki’s partner wasn’t. Maki asks “why wasn’t he chosen”. I’m thinking something along the lines of Digital World-Iliad. It’d help explain why Alphamon, Jesmon, et al never bothered to show up in a crisis before. Perhaps there’s an alternate world. Perhaps that’s where Taichi and the other chosen have landed. Tbh, I’d cry if the digimon haven’t actually lost their memories but are actually just completely new digimon who the kids have accidentally tricked into believing they have long lost human partners. That’d be emotionally traumatizing, right? Anyways, if Ragnarok happened, I think there’s a good chance we’re dealing with the x-antibody here (with implications for alphamon, meicoomon, new evolutions??? Also, I think the digital letters on omegamons sword are different than they usually are??)

Additionally, if Taichi truly does disappear and go somewhere, I wonder if he makes it back to the digital world we know. I think that’d set us up perfectly for the 6th movie. Perhaps that’s where the 02 kids are, as well. Either that, or in the no-man’s land we keep seeing (seems to be the place where Maki + Daigo’s original battle was fought? Looks like the kids will end up there again, and I think that’s where the 02 kids went up against Alphamon?)

I could write some stuff about angels and archangels and seven demon lords here but I’m gonna hop skip over that for right now in the interest of time. 

ALTHOUGH, I’ll put forth an idea that Meicoomon came straight from the dark area. I think it’s interesting that Meicoomon has been depicted as appearing to Meiko from out of the forest, and conveniently, the Tri card set has a card called “From Within the Forest” with Meicoomon’s adorable yet untrustworthy face plastered on it. I can’t decide if Meicoomon just... walks out of the forest a lot and it’s as simple as that, or if it’s alluding to the evil forest in the dark area. I think it could make sense for Meicoomon to have originated there. I remember reading on some long lost wikiimon page that some digimon moved to the dark area after being driven to near extinction (HMM) and developed mutations in order to survive the violence.

I’m actually more inclined to say that Meicoomon was artificially created (by Meiko’s dad tbh). The Tri crew said that the similarities between Plotmon and Meicoomon are important, and there’s info out there telling us that Plotmon was a man-made digimon. This could make sense given the first 5 minutes we’ve seen of tri. I’m less sure about this but am totally willing to dive back into the lore if we don’t get an answer by the end of tomorrow.

Anyways, the final thing my theories hinge on are the artistic similarities between Tri and this. Those cards scream “Tri” to me. I really think a “crisis” already happened, but I suppose we’ll see.

To finish this off, I’d just like to point out that we have one movie left and we’ve seen p much every evolution we were expecting to. There has to be excitement left for the 6th film. First- I still stand by what I said in my linked post that Yamato hasn’t gone through a personal crisis yet. That could be movie 6, and it could end up tying everything back together, but it could definitely be messy. 

I’m also gonna throw one more hot take out there and say that I think we’re going to see everyone jogress evolve. Either that, or we’ll see mode changes or SOMETHING. Idk. Once again, the Tri card set has implications for Tentomon + Piyomon being on the field together. Same thing is said for Palmon and Gomamon. I highkey don’t really care if we see jogress evolutions- what I really want is that Sora/Koushiro team-up. 

...And I’m sure Toei would love to make that $$$$ of new merchandise. 

WELL. That’s it. It’s not everything I had, but it’s most of it, and it’s all I have time to write for now. I have more homework to do and I’m probably going to be up for hours. I’m so excited for the 5th movie. I can’t wait to watch it and read what you all think. Like I said, if ANY of this turns out to be relevant I’ll expand. If this entire post turns out to be a worthless stretch... I’m probably going to leave it here and never acknowledge it again. Have mercy on me and my ask box. So...... Did Kaede die in an accident or incident? People’s simultaneous translations can only go so far. But I’m guessing it’s either related to the kidnapping or the hunt/lockup of talented individuals, and the couple (parents?) talking seem to hint that they handed her away

Ok, so there’s that. Everyone was chased for having a talent? Is it because of the Most Terrible Incident still? Talent started being seen as something that could create equally great and terrible things so they were being chased? So how did people get talent brands of SHSL in the first place?

(was it on this chapter or on the previous one that Momota mentioned something about the killing game being an issue because it would turn up against his kid or something? That raised me so many timetravel flags. I keep thinking the time travel will be something with Momota with him acting all over Kaede and Shuichii but I can’t be certain)

Tense atmosphere feels a lot more palpable, maybe even more than on the 1st game. Without the talk of Despair x Hope as well, the Killing Game brings out a much different tone of dialogues! I really like the character dinamics so far

Actually I thought I’d care a lot more for Purple boy but he’s... He’s cute, and interesting, but I feel like they were trying to hard to put an unpredictable factor after Komaeda, and it’s not cutting it for me  I do like his voice actor tho, he’s doing a great job

I feel sort of bad for Tenko omg... (she’s not as terrible as discourse was expecting her to be. Despite all her remarks, she still treats the boys by their name and acts relatively open to interacting with them)

And Komaeda died slowly with poison, but I feel like this is the first real bodily struggle except for Maizono :U

I feel like the debates are running already a lot deeper than the first two games, specially without the coating of Hope x Despair talk

this is a Diary entry for future me, but feel free to read, as always. Cosplayed: Mik.an Tsumiki

Okay, so i woke up early to get there by 10 am, ate 3 bowls of cereal n dad helped me w my wig n the bandages n stuff then i went to the con and made it there at abt 9:40 am..? around then, and went downstairs to look around before going to the ouran or hs panel so i spotted the nice Ann from earlier along with a futaba that they were friends w and i hung out w them for a while talking abt stuff and tried spinning a spinner for the first time?? rly hard w nails tho so i gave up and gave it back to them and i heard “hey nurse!!” and turned around and a ruruka and komaeda w a big monob.ear plushie were riding down the escalator waving at me and i got a pic of them and they took a pic of me and ruruka gave me a gummy candy but i had to return it bc i dont eat gelatin but they were nice! i saw em a few times later too. so i told ann and futaba that i was gonna go to the hs panel and said goosbye 

and i went to the hs panel and it.. wasnt too fun?? idk it was just a small panel. they were eating ben boozled beans to see if they got the good or gross flavor and i asked nepeta what her favorite kind of cat was and terezi tried to rap and gamzee did shenanigans but after a while i wanted to see some of he ouran panel so i went in there but not much was happening so i stuck around then eventually left it bc i was kinda bored

and then!! the LL pep rally aa! it was major cute, and all of the dancers were amazing and it had me having LL songs stuck in my head esp the nico and nozo duet song aa and while they were dancing i think i almost teared up bc i started having Idol Feelings?? flrhknrfhb but ANYWAY the maki, after asked, mentioned en.stars but she didnt kno how to play + she ddnt wanna read a japanese walkthrough and u could literally see me STRAINING not to tell her i could teach her how and i couldnt after the panel but oh well! the panel was rly cute n fun aa and there was a halloween!yohane w a rly nice outfit and after taking her pic i was like “im ur fallen angel now, yohane-sama!” and she was like “yes you are one w me now or somefin it was cute!

After that, i forgot that there was an SU panel and i went to the ON.S panel and some of the jokes were funny but since im not major into o.ns (never was, altho ive seen seasons 1 and 2 and read some of the manga) i eventualy left bc i got kinda bored and they startedplaying games like “Honey i love u” (and a friend later told me that the panel got boring after that) and bc i heard there was a DR meetup going on, i decided to go since i had 30 minutes before the max mitt.elman q and a but most of the cosplayers were just standing around and talking waiting for a photographer and a juzo was rly nice to me and so was the mondo (who seemed to be running the meetup) but by the time they got a photographer, it was time for me to go and mondo’s like “u joinin for pics?” bc i was standing off to the side looking at the con map n i was like “ah.. no, the voice of ryuji is here n i wanna see him” so the mondo said they were gonna be morgana at the per.sona photoshoot on satuday and that max might be there and im so SAD that i cant go to it bc its at midnight aa..

but so i left and i went to go see max mit.telman and it’s! surreal seeing a celebrity and everytime he spoke all i heard was Ryuji honestly thats what i thought of almost everytime fhnkhn but a lot of the talk in that panel was abt voice acting or spi.derman but i managed to aask him a question abt per.sona (”whats ur favorite castle and character?”) and he said kamoshidas palace bc ryuji’s awakening is in there and that ryuji was his fav n when i said Of Course he said “oh, other than ryuji? hmm.. the subway announcer” and everyone laughed and i think someone else asked him abt per.sona before me and it was like.. what was the funniest ryuji line to do and max said “the line where hes eating and he goes ‘IT’S LIKE A MEATY EXPLOSION IN MY MOUTH!!’” and i was laughing aaa but it was so cool! but i left near the end of it and went to the DR panel at 1:30

and the DR panel was kinda boring, i stood in the back bc there were tall ppl sitting near the places i like to sit and stuff but hey did lil games and i asked mono.kuma “what his fvorite exocution was (”h-hopefully not mine!”) and he said terut.eru’s w the helicoptors and they had trivia but the only question i knew i dint raise my hand fast enough unfortunately but its okay and later in the panel i asked junko how she really felt abt mikan (and called her junko-sama aaa) and junko said “well.. i kill the people i love so.. haha!” but made a heart w her arms and i made a heart w my fingers

NOW FOR MY FAVORITE PART OF TODAY there was a dm.md dating panel and i was like “hhh clear is best boy im gonna wait until clear is called then take a seat as a contestant” so the panel was funny and virus was all like “how do you feel abt exotic pets” and contestant one was like “well i do love bigass snakes” and virus is like “oh yea? well i have 2~” n koujaku mentioned something like theyll have to be a snake charmer and one lady, when virus asked why he should choose them, she said her character (Foxxy) once put chicken up herself and it came out fried and her friend, who was #2, said “I CANT COMPARE WHEN HER P**** DOUBLES AS A MICROWAVE!” and the other girl went “easy bake oven” and everyone was laughing and #2 couldnt stop laughing and it was Wild tbh ekhrhflj AND THEN when they called cleae you could see me stand up SO EFFING QUICK AA and i sat down as contestant 3 and as i sat down i was like “aa i was waiting for clear hes my best boy” and clear (and kou i think) heard me and went “oh aww” and clear asked his first question of “what do you think of jellyfish” and #1 said they’re squishy, #2 said they’re pretty yet kind of delicious, and i said “they’re pretty and floaty.. and theyre soft- well, they look soft, yanno? and they’re swimming all free.. w how theyre floating, maybe theyre secretly fairies or something?” and everybody Aww’ed aaa and then clear asked his 2nd question “where you take me on a date?” and #2 said the obv answer of aquarium, #1 said a beach at sunset i think, and i thought for a sec abt how clear is soft ans sweet and said “i think something simple, like a sleepover, and we could have glow in the dark stars on the wall n all yanno, and maybe watch a movie w a pillow fort and lots of plushies?” and everybody Aww’ed harder and i just kinda shyly smiled and i heard the panelists Awwing too and koujaku turned to clear and said “so, do you need to ask a third question or do you obv already know who ur gonna pick” w an Obvious tone and clear nodded (rly cutely aa) and walked down n he was like “would you.. do me the honors of being my chosen one?” and holding out my bouquiet (which was what the winning contestant got) and i was smiling so hard and nodded (i think we hugged too?) and i said “only if i have the honor of giving you a lollipop, clear~!” and gave him a fake shot and a lollipop and i was like “if you need a different flavor u can have a diff. one aa” and clear was like “ah oh no that’s fine!” and koujaku was like “oh my god can we have her instead of these guys” (meaning the other dm.md panelists) and  was fidgeting back to my seat in jy and slight shyness but after that i asked clear 2 questions during the q and a and i asked if he would make his brothers Good and not on the side of toue if he could and he nodded yes and one of the panelists played jellyf.ish song and i was like aa and then later i said “um.. clear.. i think you’re kinda similar to that one robot.ic pokemon princess- um, i forgot her name bc of my memory but-” and clear was nodding and blushing and i was like aaa bc we’re both Shy so it’s just us both being nice and blushy and i couldnt hear it well but i think clear was like “we should see it later” and after the panel was over i was gathering my bag and the clear came up to me and they were like aa you’re so cute can i take a pic of you” and i was like “yea sure can i take a pic of you?” and so we talked abt how neither of us have seen the pok.emon movir i was talking abt yet and i gave clear a hug and they were so cute im gonna Cry aa... im Lov............

after that i walked around the dealers room and the female hajime from earlier that i saw at the meetup and at the DR panel asked me to pose w them and since they got a bouqiet from the dm.md panel too we posed w those like a marriage proposal and i was like “take that spike ch.unsoft we’re making DR Gay now” and we stood around and talked abt per.sona until i saw a ryuji and goro and hajime and i took pics of em and we talked w them for a sec (the goro was like “nobody likes goro they all want pics of just ryuji”) and they were Nice and i saw dm.md cosplayers that i saw at the panel in the dealers room and they kept complimenting me on how cute i was during the panel aaa AND i met the virus and trip who were in the panel and they complimented me too and we stood around and talked for a while and i was like  “is virus’ jacket green bc he’s Poisonous?” and they were like “..interesting though. maynbe! :o” and i was like “and trip is piink for sweets, virus is green bc of snakes maybe? and trip’s pink could be a lion tongue?” and i gave them both lollipops + fake shots (i was like “maybe oit’s heroine. OH or maybe i shot you up w... Morphine” and we all went aaayyye) and i left

the oso.matsu-kun ppl never showed up so ikept browsing the dealers room and while i was looking at en.stars blind boxes, i saw a naegi going thru the id.olish omanjuus but i thought they were en.stars ones and i went “omg are you an en.stars fan?!” and they were like “YEA are you??” and i was like “YAH” and so we talked abt the event and how he wants a wataru omanjuu even tho he kinda finda wataru weird and turns out hes a SwitchP and a rabitsP bc “he has self-care” and doesnt go close to Popular units and we talked for a while and he apparently didnt kno abt the en.stars panel on saturday so i told him abt it and led him to the idol merch booth n showed him the en.stars keychains and found atsumugi for him and he got a sora and some lady in a pink sweater (?) was looking thru the boxes too so i was like “ARE U INTO IT” n she was lieke “yea!” so we talked w her and shegot the shu christmas charm (i joked that it mustve been fate we met bc i got the mika one) and she said she likes valkyrie and she mentioned her artist alley booth has en.stars stuff (i couldnt fint eh booth) and that someone she knew was cosplaying mika (didnt fine em either) or maybe she said “was going to..?” but she said she was gonna go w a friend as leo and madara in vacation clothes on satuday n i was like “DUDE COOL” and naegi said he might cosplay nazuna at metro or just eventually and i was so happy aa but eventually i left the dealers room

the os.osan q and a wasnt much to talk abt so after that, the bn.ha q and a AND the bb dating panel were PACKED but i stood in the back of the bn.ha one for a while but thought abt leaving and dad called me so i took my chance to leave and answer him and after that i just walked around more and met an eg.gs benedict who hung out w me and we saw a nof.ace who gave them candy and we talked w an akira abt stuff before i left to walk again and after a while i met a Honoka and a Kamoshida and we talked abt en.stars and LL and aa it was fun they were Nice and i went to the mat.suno mixerfor the last half (i looked inside earlie, saw no one and didnt go inside but they apparently stated late) and got chosen to be a contestant for ichimatsu (which i found ironic bc i had already won a dating game today haha) (i was contestant #1, he couldnt see any of the contestant bc there was a rack between us) and ichimatsu asked “whats ur opinion on cats”and i said “well i love them!! and rin h.oshizora is my best LL girl so of course nya!” n for the 2nd question he said “my brothers r gonna hate me for this, but how submissive are you?” and i said “well.. technically i’m a switch, but i’m Mostly a bottom, ichimatsu-sama... And i mean.. i let junko-sama step on me so..” and some ppl laughed aa and for his third question he said “on a scale of 1-10 how much do you think im trash” so i decided not to say 10 or 11 and said “well i think you’re mosre like.. a recycling bin! nor fully trahsh, perse! but im p lazy too so we can be trash buddies together!” and in the end ichi said he liked #1 n #3 but #1 charmd him more so the rack was removed and i got a bouqiet of duct tape flowers from him and i said “i can be your kitty, ichimatsu-sama nya!” and he linked elbows w me and escorted me down the stage stairs and it was nice aaa..

after that was the pajama rw.by panel but it wasnt v interesting and some guy in he audience was loud and annoying and the LLpj party where i talked w the honoka and kamoshida from earlier and a different honoka and we talked for a sec abt en.stars and id.olish and the panel was okay but i was.. tired aa...

the DR panel turned out to be mostly party games not q and a and i was tired so i left midway thru once dad came to pick me up at like 11:30 and we got mcnuggets and a medium fry to share and!! con day overrr
