#skincaretiptuesday So have you noticed that you still look like you're in your 20's when in reality you're in your 50's? Girl Yaaasss! for the ladies with melanin in their skin we love letting everyone know that black don't crack. However, the truth of the matter is that it does crack it just take a very long time to crack because we have certain factors working in our favor. The melanin in our skin is actually protecting the fibrous protein (collagen) from the UV rays so the collagen does not deteriorate that quick in skin that has high levels of collagen. Now that does not mean we can go slacking on our skincare regimens because our skin does age but it ages at a slower rate. Skin is skin and we must take care of it. Can we say that our Melanin Queens are absolutely stunning. I could not wait to shoot with this beauty RIGHT HERE! Her spirit is absolutely addictive. Often times black women (myself included) get a less than flattering light shined on us. The images that most see are black women with attitudes, serious facial expressions and dare I say images of the most sacred parts of us. When I shot with this beauty this raw form just appeared and I knew then this would be the first pic I released.
