i was somehow born to the two most freakishly self-disciplined people on this planet earth who seem to have no clue that they are the outliers. unfortunately what this means for me is that whenever i am not freakishly self-disciplined they act as if i have failed spectacularly instead of behaving like a normal human being
#boycritter et al#they both get up at 4:30 am everyday and then work out everyday and then run their business#for which they are the sole two workers and completely set their own hours and dictate their own responsibilities#and stay completely organized and clean and eat healthy and perform every hygiene task they need to do every single day#LIKE IM NOT JOKING. EVERY SINGLE DAY.#my dads daily schedule is like. 4-530 am work out. 6-9am work. 9 am make breakfast then work until noon while eating#actually no he walks the dogs at 11#lunch break from 1230 - 1 pm. (has a salad) then back to work. make protein smoothie w rice cakes (in the smoothie) at 430 pm.#(have smoothie while working)#work until 6pm then start making dinner. 630-7 dinner.#7-8 back to work. 8-9 tv. 9-10pm back to work usually or sometimes watch tv#10 pm he goes to sleep#oh also he has a standing desk he doesnt sit down while he works.#my mom ate NOTHING but boiled vegetables for 3 months to 'heal her gut microbiome'#like im not exaggerating they are INTENSE

highly discomfited by how normal it apparently is in my environs to be openly judgemental about the [un]healthiness of other people's food choices
and furthermore how much of these judgements are literally just vibes rather than any real assessment of health impact

local waitress recently realized that she significantly doesn't eat enough, is trying to make up for it via high protein desserts/midnight snacks
it would be more at 11, but it's almost 1 am
#food mention#you know how a packet of instant pudding gives 4 servings?#i make it with half the milk and then half greek yogurt for extra protein (and chia seeds for fiber)#i can have THE ENTIRE THING and i'm still accidentally like 300 kcal below what is a healthy level of calorie deficit#let alone my maintenance consumption#and i've eaten three meals today! i am genuinely surprised that i am so short of my food today#anyway i need to learn how to eat when at work bc i can't just keep running around for 5-10 hrs on no food#or like half a smoothie maybe while at work#shut up ange#let me know to tag for any other triggers

First day we haven't spent time together in 4 days I need him...........

Finally cracked and ordered one of those little portable blenders with the intent of making smoothies for myself because I never eat any fruits or veggies, so my dumbass also doesn’t get much fiber if at all because I eat like a picky 5 year old. 🙃
#i’m actually eager to try it#primarily because if this works out well and i can make a smoothie that satisfies my sweet tooth and gives me fiber and extra protein#it’ll be really good for me#gonna start real simple tho with a berry smoothie#just some frozen mixed berries with vanilla almond milk and some chia seeds#i feel like that will be a good place to start as far as making something lower calorie but high in fiber#i did far more research about all this than i’d care to admit#but for anyone worried about my health due to my lack of healthy eating i do take a multivitamin everyday#so I’m not COMPLETELY without vitamins and nutrients but still#this is what happens when you don’t make your kids eat fruits and veggies from a young age folks

is it ridiculous that i spent almost $20 on a juice and avocado toast just so i could have it delivered to my front door? yes. will i do it again? also yes.
#personal#it's a fresh pressed juice with orange carrot apple ginger and turmeric#which is very easy and cheap to make at home but i am never gonna do that#so paying $10 for something very healthy i will not have otherwise is fair i think#the problem came in with wanting it delivered#in order to meet the delivery minimum i had to get something else but the only other thing the juice place sells is smoothie bowls#and some toast with fancy toppings#so i went with the toast#which IS something i would normally just make at home#but i'm currently sick and don't want to get up but also desperately in need of vitamins#i'm trying to justify this to myself

did 35 minutes on the elliptical today (on level 2!) and made it a WHOLE MILE!! i thought it would take me longer to get to this point but! it just makes me really excited for what i can accomplish by the end of this year!
