Fields of Mistria is SUPER fun, since there's not much to do in it after you've completed the first year right now, I've dedicated myself to breeding and collecting all the seasonal variants of horses so I can name them after the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!

I also named all my barns after metamorphised lovers in greek myth because I have exactly one thought running through my head at any given point in time (Currently there's Crocus Coop where I keep my (gorgeous wonderful lovely adorable ouugh I LOVE THEMMM!!) blue chickens

Cypress Barn where I keep my wonderful cows (who have been with me the longest and whom I cherish immensely! I'm not sure if Autumn cows are possible but I'm definitely aiming for a barn of all red and autumnal cows for obvious reasons)

Minthe Barn where I keep all of my other large animals like sheep, alpacas and my very first beloved Chiron (black and white) and Iris (brown with spots) (the foal is Rigel) 🥺

And Hyacinthus Barn where I have a collection of small animals like rabbits, capybaras and my PRIZED DUCKS LEDA (the pretty blue and green duckie) AND CYCNUS (the pure white duck meant to mimic a swan!!) Even though it's technically a coop, I mistakenly labelled it a barn when I was inputting the name and I never changed it LOL

My farm is also named after THE metamorphosized lover, Daphne herself, so it's called Laurel Farm

And I'm planning for my Seasonal Horse barn to be named after the poplar since I quite like Leuke's story and I think she's fitting of housing the horses that will be the steeds of War, Pestilence, Conquest and Famine :)

Bonus: My house is still small and eclectically decorated, but keeping in theme with my farm, I do hope to go for a flower/garden theme

If you ask Sirius, every way was the best bc he's a bit of a sap like that. If you ask Remus, it was terribly done approximately every time, bc he's a bit of an anxious perfectionist like that.

First all, I see all of their pregnancies being a surprise because they were never actually trying! It just happened! It keeps happening! They don't know how! (Well, they know how, but, you know)

The first time Remus was in shock; the second he kind of blurted it out after receiving the news himself; the third he tried to do something cute but Sirius caught on before Remus could tell him; (the fourth was not a pregnancy, Remus just came back home with a baby werewolf one day); so if he has to choose, Remus would chose the (currently) last one!

They had a nice, lazy morning, then an afternoon out with the kids, who were then dropped off at their favorite uncles and aunts' houses for the night. They had a dinner date night at home, and Remus had a whole speech planned and even a cute little gift (a onesie with "baby n°5" on it)!! But in the end he just took Sirius' hand and put it on his stomach and waited for Sirius to realize (which was actually really quick!!).

And then they had a very good night that would have left Remus pregnant if he hadn't already been 😌❤️

In some versions of mythology, Maia (Hermes' mom) was a handmaiden for Artemis along with her six sisters. Zeus being Zeus fancied the oldest nymph daughter of Atlas and had his way with her when she tried to escape him in a cave. She was forced to leave Artemis' palace and employment because she had Hermes.

Something she despised because she wanted to stay with her sisters and Artemis. She loved that lifestyle. It was what she wanted. Except Zeus ruined that for her.

Maia was also fearful because of Hera's wrath towards her husband's mistresses and their families. Then Orion came knocking and started being inappropriate with her sisters and to some extent her. She didn't want to deal with another man like that.

Then some of Hermes' appearance and personality kept reminding her of Zeus and she didn't want to be a parent. She cared for the boy but she didn't love him. So, since she was no longer provided for by Artemis, she kept encouraging her eager child to keep working so that he could help support them and make her proud. Plus he didn't want to face the wrath of grumpy gods if he failed to deliver!

He was devoted to her and did just that. Giving Maia a much needed break from having to parent a rambunctious child. Then one night, the boy came back and said something that shook her to her core.

"I was in the mortal market today. I was picking up some biscuits for Lady Hestia and everyone else back at Olympus. And I saw Lady Artemis and Lord Apollo with their mom Leto. I was going to say hi to Lady Artemis for you but I never got the chance. Then their mom said that both of them, her children, were truly the most wonderous and magical things that could've ever happened to her. That their moon light and sunlight made her heart shine. That all mothers love their kids so much. Since I deliver stuff and you're my mom, would that mean that I'm your greatest gift? Or maybe someday I could be once I'm a powerful Olympian with domains and stuff?"

Maia was speechless and didn't know what to say. Her greatest 'gifts' had been her sisters and their sisterhood and the eternal youth, freedom, and respect she was afforded as a personal maiden of Artemis. While she didn't blame the boy for what happened, she didn't love him. He was the kid she babysat and cared a bit for. She didn't have titan of motherhood level feelings for him. So, she ultimately said someday once he was established as an Olympian, worthy, and accomplished of course. Her son still very much naïve when it came to relationships; agreed with her.

Years went by, Maia became a constellation in the sky with her sisters curtesy of Zeus and Artemis to escape Orion. Her son never knowing the wiser. Of course Zeus knew when she made her request but no one else did. She made sure of that. He was a good boy, but he wasn't what she wanted for herself. Now as a star she could be close to her sisters and Artemis. Free at last. It was better this way.
