coming to you straight from the heatherclan nursery are magpiekit and frecklekit! two playful bundles of fluff who are oh so close to becoming apprentices to the clan. their mother is the heatherclan queen amberspots and their father is the clan deputy ravenflight. the two kits are as close as can be and are always by each others sides playing or listening to the stories the elders tell. magpiekit has received visions of the past and future from starclan with his parents taking great pride in his strong connection to starclan at such a young age. he’ll soon become the rabbitleap’s apprentice whom will ideally help him train his gift to benefit the clan. magpiekit is excited to become an apprentice but is very nervous also as he fears that his gift is super important and he’ll let the clan down if he doesn’t find a way to use it well, but when he’s by his sister’s side these worries melt away. frecklekit has already started practicing her hunters crouch in the clan camp copying the apprentices when they practice spar in the camp clearing on quiet afternoons. she’s ecstatic at the thought of getting to train to become a strong warrior like her dad but only wishes that the apprentices would let her soar with them too when doepaw says she’s too little and they don’t want to hurt her when practicing. things are alright though as heatherheart happily plays with the kits during her nursery visits. frecklekit has grown very attached to heatherheart and hopes that she’ll have her as a mentor, heatherheart feels the same for the bright eyed kit.

I found a warriors fanfic (original characters!) that I really like, here’s a recommendation for anyone who wants it!!

It’s in progress and is being updated pretty regularly, writing style is wonderful! Main character is Crowkit of ThunderClan, and the lore and worldbuilding seems super interesting so far >:)

A little ooc post about my clangens that could have been, WitheringClan and BearClan.

The founder of WitheringClan, Houndspot, is a young warrior and the sole survivor of a tornado that destroyed his old clan, LushClan; he is tasked with rebuilding WitheringClan until it can rightfully be restored to it's former title. The herbalist loner Ebonysmoke and his sons Magpiekit and Gracklekit join the lost soul after only a few moons, and the four grow and learn from each other while defending their home from the violent rogue group "SporeClan" that overtook half of WitheringClan's territory.

Little Hemlockkit was born after a tragic omen that depicted her clan's prophesized demise StarClan will send to destroy them. Content to obey their ancestors, BrackenClan accepted their fate and awaited their united deaths, all but the medicine cat Jaderiver. Betraying StarClan, Jaderiver hid Hemlockkit away to survive the onslaught of a savage bear and was sent to the dark forest for his rebellion. Hemlockkit is now guided by the disgraced medic and two strangers Jaderiver guided to her under the name of BearClan. BearClan must now defy fate and earn it's place alongside their two neighboring clans as StarClan actively tries to undo them.

I HAD A BRILLIANT IDEA FROM THAT ASK THANKS FERN

So Crookedkit goes to leave Riverclan, sneaking away when he thinks no one is watching...but Shellheart is too worried about his boy and finds him shortly after Crooked leaves. Shellheart isn't letting his kit go by himself - there's a feeling of unease, like someone is watching him, like someone is glaring full of hate. (He doesn't see the gray shape of his mate staring from the shadows - but there's no sign of a tortie molly anywhere) He's not letting Crookedkit (and how he hates calling his little Stormy that, even if the kit insists on it now) alone. He goes to Hailstar, leaving Oakkit in his and Brambleberry's care (leading to Oakkit taking a different path in life), and loudly divorces a disbelieving Rainflower in the middle of camp before heading off with Crookedkit to the Moonstone - maybe there will be answers there.

They stop at the barn for the night, meeting Fleck and Mitzi and her wild hoard of kits. Fleck mentions his adoptive father having a similar facial injury, maybe he can help? And Domino the broken jawed barn cat locks eyes with Shellheart the warrior, and everything stops-

Many seasons ago, Willownose the loyal warrior of Riverclan fell in love with a dashing loner, who tried to join the clan, but was rejected. They met in secret for moons, in a parallel to a long ago river tom and forest molly, except he met his kit - even named him! But another warrior found them, and to save his love and their kit, he feigned being a stranger, and was attacked. He was struck down, falling into the river, cracking his jaw on the stones, and waking to a strange molly pulling him from the river. Her body is soaked with rancid water, and her throat flaps open like a torn leaf on the wind, but he thanks her anyway - she must be a protector spirit to save him like that! (He only sees her one more time in his life, but Mapleshade, saving a soul far too much like her, begins to change. The river is walked by a molly in the mists, keeping wanderers out of the river.) He recovers with the help of the barn twolegs, and helps a molly raise her two kits. He sticks around longer than she does, and helps raise his in-all-but-blood kits raise grandkits when the father refuses to stay. And then Fleck calls him over, to a kit with his jaw and a tom and everything stops-

Domino, Mitzi, Fleck, and the kits join Riverclan - Dominojaw, Mistyglow, Fleckbelly, Sootkit, Piperkit, Mistkit, and Magpiekit. Oakpaw becomes a medicine cat, Crookedpaw becomes Crookedstorm, Sootsong and Piperleap and Mistnose and Magpiewing. Dominojaw sees the cat who saved him strike down Rainflower when she tries to kill her own kit for daring to thrive, and watches the massive tortie fade away in a glimmer of stars. But he sees her again, in a way - when he and Shellheart are called into the medicine den by Oakheart and Brambleberry, and at the belly of Willowbreeze, under the loving eyes of Crookedstorm, nestled between her three sisters, is a faded but familiar pelt. He suggests Glimmerkit for that one, and she thrives along with Silverkit, Minnowkit, and Shinekit. Dominojaw lives long enough to see his grandkit become Crookedstar, and then passes into the fields of Starclan.

And wakes to the loving eyes of Willownose.

(Oakheart still romances Bluefur, but he saves his frostbitten kit. Piperleap becomes deputy after Leopardfur shows her anti-kittypet side. Silverstream survives her labor, and her sisters Minnowstripe, Shinefall, and Glimmerscale help take care of the kits - while teasing Graystripe about his terrible swimming. Everything is a little softer and brighter, if for a little while at least)

this is rabbitleap and he’s the heatherclan medicine cat! he’s still a bit nervous to be doing his job alone after the death of his mentor blacktail but he’s trying his best for the sake of the clan. soon he’ll become mentor to magpiekit once he’s old enough as he’s already received dreams from starclan directing him towards the path of medicine cat. his sister is heatherheart who he’s very close to despite their different duties in the clan with him, her and his best friend russetburr often sharing tongues, eating prey together and helping around camp together. there’s a ghost cat that’s tethered to his soul called smallant who’s been there for as long as he can remember and he has no idea why starclan has sent him to follow him around all day. he’s recently received a prophecy from starclan of a mysterious star of the night that he’s yet to decode…
