1- She is indeed a mackerel tabby! “Lynx point” is just another way of saying “tabby point”, and is only used in the context of a colorpoint kitty.

2- “Seal” is similar— just means “black”, and is only used tor colorpoints! So “seal point” is the same as “black point”. so you can also call their cat a black tortoiseshell mackerel tabby point!

Black diluted is blue, chocolate diluted is lilac, cinnamon diluted is fawn! cinnamon + fawn kitties:

3- Yes, there are different kinds of point patterns, in multiple ways! Colorpoint kinda “goes over” the cat’s color, so a black cat w/two copies of colorpoint gene would be a black point (AKA seal point), a tortie w/two copies of point would be a tortie point, any tabby w/two copies of point is a [color] tabby point (lynx point). A red (orange) point is called a flame point, but a cream point is still called a cream poin lol. There’s also different types of colorpoint! There’s the Siamese-type colorpoint, which is probably the most known type. Then there’s sepia point, which is the darkest/lowest-contrast type of point, and is seen in the Burmese breed, for example. And mink point is kinda in between Siamese-type and sepia, for example the Tonkinese breed is often mink.

4- You can kiiind of tell she’s probably a tortie by looking at the points + sides! 3rd pic shows the mottling of black-based and red-based colors muted by the colorpointing. 1st pic you can kinda see an orange stripe on the right side of face. 2nd pic you can see side mottling like in 3rd pic, plus the tail tip colors!

Lola seems to fit the siamese profile (she seems very similar to a thai point, but not as she gets darker) but she’s got a lot of mottled tabby spots.

here’s her at about 6 months when i first got her :)

however, i’m mostly interested in WTF is going on with her back pattern here. is she secretly also a calico??

I have managed to turn Wanderer's main part in the Simulanka questline into chapter 5 of The Light Beyond the End, just waiting for final edits and polishing tomorrow XD I have 5 hours of bat research about to kick off in an hour, I'm not finishing this tonight :P but soon!!! Tomorrow is the day of livestream and chapter! :D

So much of it is canon dialogue, that's the only reason I got it done in a week... I estimated 20.000 words early on, seeing how the writing was going and based on the total of the canon dialogue. I was very correct. Total end count for now: 21.698 words... This will double the story as it is now...

And in the next one, I get to describe their little world tour Hoyo was so kind to vaguely describe for me, ahhh that's gonna be the sweetest damn thing :D :D

I love vacations but the problem is that they are one time experiences

Nothing is going to make me feel the same that the week long trip with my best friend at 14 did, nothing will match the stunning veiw at 4 am when the mountains were covered in fog and I tried to wake him up to look at it and refused to show him the pictures I took because he wouldn't wake up, nothing will match chasing him around the mirror maze, or buying an unreasonable amount of weird soda with my allowance i saved, or the feeling of walking around all day and climbing into the loft unable to feel my feet to mumble nonsense at him until i passed out, waking up the next morning to my feet still numb, or the car ride back were we were Still exhausted from the day before

Nothing will be the same as that family weekend on the lake, of everyone getting along for once, of sitting on the deck for Hours with my feet in the water, of going kayaking with my sister that turned into trying to knock each other over without flipping ourselves, it was worth the bruises from her accidentally hitting me instead of the kayak, of how At Home i felt on the water, of staying up every night talking to my sister, and spending the week after not regretting the sun poisoning or swimmers ear

And yes I'll have more vacations like this. I've had day trips I could write about like this, and I don't regret going on them, but I know a repeat trip will never feel the same and nothing else will match exactly even if it's also amazing
