Tim starts his night trying to calm down a graduate student with a ray gun. He has no idea that he is part of a time loop. Future Tim (which will be him in three minutes) won a second round of the Titans Tower fight and managed to put Jason on the path to coming home. Past Tim didn't do much other than think he was dreaming when he met a much calmer Jason. Future Tim decided that three minutes was plenty of time to figure out just get everything right and stabilize a time loop on the first try. No pressure.

It doesn’t occur to Harry until supper that night, while Luna makes a Spanish tortilla with pink and blue potatoes from her garden, that Granger might actually be his friend now. Not just a transferable friend, comfortable with him because she’d grown up with a strangely domestic alternative version of him with short hair, but a real friend. Since he’s not sure how to feel about it, he eats his half of the tortilla in a silent daze and then helps Luna go over the last of the proofs for next week’s Quibbler. 

“I’m glad you never change,” Harry mumbles into [Luna's] shoulder and she laughs softly. “Why would I?” she says. “I am exactly as I ought to be.” // “No one is married to Justin Finch-Fletchley,” Granger says. Her death grip on her bag has relaxed and she no longer sounds quite so shrilly determined to pretend to be at ease. “You’re bizarrely obsessed with this possibility.” “It’s literally my worst nightmare,” Harry tells her. // Malfoy says, coldly, “Lovegood, I think your room in the dungeons is still open, if you want to pay it an extended visit.” // “You know how sometimes it’s hard to tell if you’re actually sexually attracted to someone or it’s just because they’re tall?” Granger says. // Luna had said, I think the one skill every Harry Potter shares is the ability to find a friend inside of anyone, which is both demonstrably not true and also something that Harry desperately wishes was.

This story is everything a one-shot should be: beautifully characterized, wholly unique, and delightfully surprising. Magneticwave's world-building, characterization, and prose are gorgeous, as always, and this story may just take the cake for my favorite Luna characterization in any fic ever. It certainly has the best post-war Luna/Draco dynamic. I'm a sucker for outside POV's on main relationships, but you get so much more than pay for with this one: two sets of characters, unbelievably heartwarming friendships, new perspectives on canon, and a cascade of unexpected laughs. (And bonus nottpott!)

Hey there! I'm looking for a sterek fic on ao3. Derek and Stiles break up and Stiles moves out of their perfect house because Derek is cursed and can't love anymore. Derek is a cop and Stiles is a spark (or at least really in tune with naturemagic), and there's an issue of Stiles' perimeter expanding and some people in the town are super upset and say the wards need to be strengthened to keep him in.

Would you be able to put your finger on this fic? "stiles has magic and he made a deal with a powerful witch to protect beacon hills, but it supposedly took away his love for derek in the process (or maybe Derek made the deal), except that he's growing a garden to break the spell" My google-fu is failing me. I know I've read it before, but going through my history is a month-long endeavor! I think Derek is a deputy and he keeps running into Stiles and it's not clear what has happened between them at first. I think Stiles is referred to as a hedge witch at some point?
