Guys I'm back-

It has been a nightmare lately this is the only thing I managed to draw in weeks? Finals and uni stuff that's taking all of my time and energy, slowly turning me into a cafeinated slug (worst part is caffeine doesn't even have an effect on me? I only drink coffee for the TASTE can you imagine). Anyway the rush won't be over until end of January but hopefully I'll be able to ignore the stress and draw anyway :)

your body goes limp, leaning back against his arm and clinging on to his torso. your freshly manicured nails—paid for none other than your generous husband—draw angry red lines down the smooth plane of his back. he doesn’t mind though, he never minds the pain with you. it’s grounding when things seem all too unreal.

your vision darkens as the wave crashes over you. your eyes roll to the back of your head while lip muffles your cries with his own mouth. swollen lips drag against yours messily, spit smearing between you. neither of you care as the heat between you mounts.

Maggie sat in her quarters, hands wringing nervously together to try and ease her anxiety. She’d seen her husband be dragged away to gods knows where, but they just locked her in here, waiting for an audience with their commander who wished to set his sights on her. Would they kill her too? No - worse. Her Nilfgaardian was weak at best but she understood what they had said near enough. The commander She felt sick, her husband was a good if not dull man but like most...he was proud. Nilfgaard would not spare him. She knew that in her gut.  --- Unfortunately, she proved to be right when the commander decided a pretty noble wife even if they were northern would be a good prize. She despised him and every moment forced to meet with him. He hadn’t laid a hand on her yet but her gut knew he would. She wanted to run from this but where to? She’d either get caught or die or be harmed from some other means by herself. She was trapped here. All she could hope for would be him hurrying up the marrying process now that her courses had not arrived twice. For the unborn child’s sake, he had to think it was his when she was discovered.

Welp:

It's no surprise that Cole's go-to choice is Zane, but beyond the elephant in the room, they are each other's oldest + longest-lasting friend, and know each other best. They often fall into line with one another without even having to ask!

Similar to Cole and Zane, Kai and Jay tend to fall into sync automatically, as despite their tendency to take shots at each other their elements complement one another well and they both know how to get the most out of each other's fighting style.

If Nya and Lloyd weren't already Ride or Die, they'd wind up with one another anyway given how much the Core Four tend to head off doing their own thing a fair chunk of the time. Suits Nya just fine though—although we gotta be careful that Lloyd's enthusiastically destructive tendancies don't rub off on her snknksnk

Antonia probably shouldn't be weaseling her way into anything remotely dangerous, but when she does she's obviously tagging along with Jesse (at least, until Nelson gets into the picture). Jesse never fights it because he knows he's not gonna win shgfdhggd

Sunni's de facto best friend may be Samantha, but whenever she does wind up entangled with some Ninja Things, she's tag-teaming with Miranda (in which they may get distracted talking about Jay or sci-fi topics), and/or Harleigh (depending on the point-in-time...and Harleigh's mood)

This is prolly gonna sound somewhat bizarre, but I plan to have Skylor and Pixal team up often because they are both badass and cool and I desire more of their dynamic. We had a teeny taste in Crystalized and I want MOAR (...at least, once Pixal starts to warm-up to Skylor after, y'know, Skylor's dad tearing her apart and stuff.)

Brad/Sally/Gene and Chad/Maggie/Meghan all come as packaged set within their trios, though while they're not ~main~ characters, they'll show up often enough during shenanigans to be mentioned and I love their dynamics with one another (despite Chad's group being jerks at this moment in time) but aaaah I'm so excited to use them more—they're not exactly friends but they do eventually see the similarities in one another and it's so fun

Okay I know i keep linking characters to (muse) songs but hear me out- Unintended is amongst my absolute favorite songs. Ever. I hold it so dearly. You can only guess my surprise when I realized it actually works with Gansey, and believe me when I say it works well.

field day is one of the best days of the year for a kindergartener. they run as much as their little bodies allow them, play games all school day, and have their bellies full of a delicious lunch. this year, that lunch is provided by none other than your boyfriend's restaurant, catering mini beef sandwiches for the kids.

you step behind the table to kiss carmen on the cheek when your class gets to the lunch station. he smiles and his arm wraps around your waist, muttering to you, "y're so good with those kids, 's drivin' me crazy."

you blush at his implications and smile when he leans in to pepper your cheek with a few quick kisses. a squeal interrupts the moment, the sound from one of your students who points at the scene with a grin. she shouts your name before asking, "is that your boyfriend!?!" her friends giggle, some of them remarking on how boys have cooties, and the little girl continues to stare at you excitedly.

"since you all have such curious minds," you start, the whole class's attention focused on you now, "this is my boyfriend, mr. carmy."

carmen smiles, giving your students a wave. they all giggle excitedly, greeting him with a staggered chorus of hi mr. carmy!

"alright, alright," you say with a smile. "we only have two field rotations to eat. so come to me for some hand sanitizer, then get your sandwich from mr. carmy."

the kids file through the line one at a time, choosing which sandwich they want, and what flavor chips will accompany it. one boy asks carmen, "do you make all the beef sandwiches?"

your boyfriend chuckles, shaking his head. "no, i don't make all the sandwiches bud. usually i'm makin' other sh- stuff." his cheeks heat up a little at his near slip, but the boy just nods, seemingly satisfied with the answer, and carmen asks him "now, what d'ya want, kid?"
