Just saw a great post about Vegas' hedgehog and the symbolism of its ill-fitted enclosure, and I can't stop thinking about it; it's a hedgehog in a birdcage, an enclosure it was never going to thrive in no matter what because that cage could simply never meet its needs, and in that cage the hedgehog grew sick and miserable, until eventually, it died. Vegas is the hedgehog in the birdcage; his home and life were never going to meet his needs. It was never going to be a healthy environment where he could thrive. Just like the hedgehog, Vegas grew sick and miserable, and almost died because of it.

And there's even more to it: the hedgehog couldn't be saved, but Vegas did. Vegas got put in a better environment suited to his needs where he could heal. He is the hedgehog of his father that didn't die. And see, the series sets Vegas as the owner and Pete as the pet, but I think this goes just as much the other way around, because Pete took the hedgehog out of the birdcage, Pete made sure Vegas' needs were met.

The next morning is filled with groans and pain killers. I’d usually ignore Arthur’s calls for help, considering he can get out and I’m his first resort. When he called I had a bad feeling and he would never wake me up for nothing.

“Cherie, why did you come?” Arthur asked me, the three of us sitting at the dining table half dressed. I had on a big tshirt and panties while they had sweats on.

“Had a feeling you needed me.” I respond, shrugging my shoulders. “You’re lucky I did, Ocon could’ve left you for dead.” I chuckle at my own comment and smile at the man.

“I could’ve figured it out.” He brushed off my comment. “Gasly however, I would not be here.” He admitted. He doesn’t dare mess with the Gaslys business. That’s strictly off limits to guys like him.

“Oh yeah, Gasly is a freak.” I say. I shift in my seat to get more comfortable and my shirt rides up, revealing my panties. Both of them shift and clear their throats as to tell me, but I didn’t care.

“Mon amour, put your leg down.” Charles said, annoyed I’m basically showing off my cunt to them. I don’t listen and stick my tongue out at him. “I’ll fuck the attitude away if you don’t.” He chuckled. “Better yet, edge you until you’re begging me to fuck you.”

Only then did my leg fall off the chair and I adjust the shirt to cover myself. My cheeks burn and he smiles to his brother, as if hes implying he should know that. “Cha you’re insufferable.” I say.

“Am I?” He teased. “Or are you just easy to control?” Arthur chuckled at his brother’s comment and I smack his arm.

“Incorrect, I’m easy for you to control.” I emphasize. I look at my phone and Gasly’s have been blowing it up non-stop. “Fucking hell, leave me alone.” I roll my eyes answering the phone.

“Back in town princess?” Mr. Gasly asked. How does he even know that? I sigh and place hand to my face. “I have no trackers on you, no worries. Pierre mentioned you talked.” He said. I shoot a look at Charles and narrow my eyes.

“What did you need Mr. Gasly?” I ask. I don’t want to spend my time here wasted. Might as well do business. “I’m not staying long.”

“Just a delivery or two.” He said. “We also need to talk if you want to travel around with my son.” He mentioned. I’m not traveling with Pierre however he doesn’t know that much information. “Meet at my office, today perhaps.”

“Will do, sir.” I respond. “I’ll be there in around 30.” I say and he ends the call. I slide my phone on the table and head to my room. I change into business attire and do my makeup and hair. I return to the boys.

“Business calls mon amour?” Charles asked smirking at me. Arthur looks intrigued at me. I know that look, he wants in on it. “We need to leave by 7 tonight.”

“Firstly, no Tur you cannot join me, it’s Gasly business. Secondly, I’ll make that clear to the big man.” I state, kissing him on the cheek. “Love you boys.” I wink on my way out, grabbing keys and clipping my hand gun on my belt.

I drive to Gasly’s ‘office’ and head in, unbothered by the crowd. I get past all the guards and finally get face to face with him. “Welcome back.” He smiled.

“Nothings changed.” I say, unamused. He’s got a whore on his lap, his freaky guards around. Seriously nothing has changed.

“Heres my proposition.” He starts, showing a slip of paper with business on it. “You successfully deliver two of these today, I keep you for international.” His voice calm and firm, though there’s a hint of malicious intent behind it. “You finish one, I keep you while you’re in town.” He goes on, listing the horrors. “You do none, my guard gives you another scar.”

I scoff at his offer and look over the deals he wrote out. Most of the deals require driving back and forth, and all over town. “These will take days to complete.” I say keeping my calm. Charles asked me of one thing. “I’m leaving by 7 tonight.” I state firmly at him. “That’s not a question or a request, I am leaving by 7.” I can’t disappoint him more than I already have.

He shrugs and nods his head. “So do you want the scar now or?” He chuckles to his own comment. “Two of those deals are possible to do today by 7.” He negotiated. “Ocon, and Laurent.” Couldn’t get snobbier than that.

He was right, if I start now I could get them done by around 6. “Uh huh. I’ll be back at 6:30 latest.” I say giving him a sarcastic smile as I exit. I call Arthur to help me out. “Ocon and Laurent.” I say when he picks up.

“What about them princess?” He asked. He was still at my place, when I bring him there he usually doesn’t leave until business calls again. “Cha doesn’t want you wondering all day.”

“Good if you help me I’ll be done by 4:30, so get ready I’m on my way.” I hang up the phone and pick up the first load, then head to my place and he’s waiting on the curb. He hops in my car and shakes his head. “Ocons last, he’s a pain.” I sigh.

“Laurent’s are no better, little hoodlums.” He mentions. I don’t do much business for them but when I have, it’s been easy. “Am I helping you or just moral support?”

“Moral.” I say. I pull to the Laurent mansion and get out as Arthur ducks down from security. I get past the security with no issues and make it to the big man. “From Gasly.” I state crossing my arms and holding my stance.

“Why hello again princess.” He greets. “Set it just there, allow my guards to check.” He points to a scale and I drop the bag on it, watching the numbers rise. A guards gives him the go ahead. “Good, I’ll send him a confirmation.” One of his guards hands me a duffel with cash.

I walk out, placing the bag in the trunk before sitting back in my car. “One down, let’s fetch Ocon’s load.” I sigh. I leave the gated mansion and speed down to get Ocon’s load. On our long ride there Arthur must’ve gotten bored.

“Cherie, why do you torture yourself.” He asked. He placed a hand on my thigh, inching up the skirt I had put on this morning. “All this stress and adrenaline rush, for what?” He asked another question.

“Family.” I state coldly driving the interstate. Arthur’s hands reach under my panties and my breath catches. “Tur, not now.” I mumble, not really wanting him to stop.

“You’re so tense, so stressed Cherie.” He says teasingly. “Let me help you right now.” I give in and let him. He runs soothing circles over my clit as I drive. Adding his fingers and allowing me to squirm. He gains speed in his fingers and I moan loudly. “Relax, Cherie.”

“Hard to do that.” I strain to breathe out. He finished me off before we turn on Ocon’s driveway. “Fuck you.” I breathe. I gather myself together and fix my skirt before grabbing the totes.

“Princesse!” Ocon exclaims. The ordeal went well, Ocon always took a liking to me. I get back in my car. I head back towards the Monaco outskirts where Gasly resides. I sigh heavily before telling Arthur he needs to stay in the car.

“No! What if he-“ Arthur tries to defer my decision but I made my decision before I picked him up.

“Give me 10 minutes. If I’m not out by then, you can come in.” I reassure him. I give him a brief kiss and get out. I grab the bags in the trunk and head in. Once I enter the building I realize Arthur had taken my gun off my hip, no going back now.

“Back so soon?” Gasly says, noticing I’m unarmed and vulnerable. “I figured it would’ve taken you double the time.” His accent thick, his guards tense by his sides. I throw the duffel bags on the coffee table and the metal clinks to the glass. His guards move to the door. A subtle click was heard as my head snaps.

“I told Charles I’d be back for 7.” I say standing my ground. Crossing my arms, standing with my feet shoulder length apart. “If I’m not, he’s going to come get me.” I remind the man.

“I’d like to see him try, princess.” Gasly smirks wildly. A girl counts the stacks and nods at him. I don’t take my cut unless it’s given to me. So what’s in the bags when I grab them, stays. “What will it take to have you stay?” He fake pouted counting my share of the deals.

“We had an agreement.” I state. “I did two, you keep me for international.” I remind him. His guards are less tense now. The girls scoff and I grimace at them.

“I don’t need you for international.” He says firm. “I need you here.” The girls beside him giggle as my face contorts into disagreement.

“I did as you asked.” The anger seeping through my veins. “You have 5 minutes to agree on international before the Leclerc’s come through that door.” I warn. He chuckles at me. I look at my watch and roll my wrist the right way to press a button on the side to silently call Arthur.

“What your little boyfriend needs you around the world?” Gasly teases. “He’s done it long enough alone.” His guards edge closer to me and I step forward, one grabs my arm. “I give you permission.” He says with a nod. They grab my arms and tied them, making me kneel before the man. They shove cloth in my mouth. The concrete scratching my bare knees.

“Little bitch.” One murmurs. They tie me up to where I can’t move and start hitting me with belts, whips, and chains. Marking my body. Blood seeping through the thin clothing I wore in the Monaco heat. The sleeveless shirt tucked into a skirt being torn by the lashes.

The door starts breaking at the knocks barely audible over the blood pumping in my ears. When the door breaks down, the pain stills. Only what’s been done, no new ones. “Détache-la ou la balle est à toi.” (untie her or the bullet is yours) Charles or Arthur says, the voice rings through my ears. I’m not untied, so the gun goes off, 5 times.

Episode 3 of my favorite live action anime, mafia the series was as good as the previous ones. Well it's not a live action anime, at least as far as I know, but it sure does feel like one. With every episode I watch, I get increasingly frustrated that a show this good is so obscure.

This is one of the funniest shows I have ever watched. It does comedy so well. It's in your face, but also subtle. It is serious at times, but it never takes itself too seriously either. The comedy is sprinkled in so nicely with the plot progression that it makes the viewing experience that much more enjoyable.

The plot is good. Like really good. I am genuinely intetested to see where things are going. And then I get hit with things I don't expect. So fun.

The characters are SO FREAKING GOOD. I feel so thrilled watching this because the characters are right up my alley. Everything everyone says or does makes sense for their character, no matter what kind of scene os going on. It's actually amazing. Also everyone is doing such a good job of bringing these characters to life.

The action sequences in this show is actually some of the best I have seen coming from a thai production. It is so well choreographed and executed. Different people have different fighting styles based on what weapons they use, and it really shows. Even the fake fight was choreographed so well. Most action scenes I have seen from the thai market are bad, so I am so glad that this show has good action. Because the action is such an important part of the show too. And the thing is, the action is not that realistic, it's definitely exaggerated and has that anime vibe to it. But it works with the overall tone of the show so well.

I am totally digging the vibes of this show. It's just so so good.

AnnaSvenBeam continue to be the most chaotic funny wholesome trio. Beam, my sweet naive child, is still very much a lamb thrust into the world of wolves. Anna, the frustrated babysitter that just wants to chill will do anything to make others do her work for her. Sven is a sympathetic bro who really enjoys watching the show. The dumb, dumber, dumbest moments that happen with this trio are so funny. I just love that most interactions between Anna and Beam involve her pointing a gun at him. I know Sven enjoys watching Anna bully Beam as much as I do.

I can't believe there is seriously a bunny girl in this show. I love it.

Beam my sweet child is not prepared for whatever is coming his way.

I couldn't care less about the cop. He deserved that for letting his ego get to his head.

The mafia women are so cool.

And now it's time for my compulsory Joong simping. Seriously, Joong is so good in this series. He can do comedy so well too. I fidn't know that. To me, the best form of comedy is when characters remain serious and react normally conforming to their character setting in the most absurd situations. It's not exaggerated reactions that make the situation funny. The situation itself is funny, and the characters reacting seriously makes the whole thing even funnier. And Joong does this type of comedy oh so well. He reacts to his environment so naturally. I am still amazed that he can play a character like Beam without being overshadowed by all the other eccentric characters he is always surrounded by. He really did such a good job here.

so i'm currently reading Nobody Like Us and i'm not sure i'm liking it... i fear i've grown out of this series (i hope not bc they've been my favs for YEARS)

but i just feel like i'm getting tired of KBR's style/writing. the second-hand embarrassment scenes are just too much for me at this point.

Do You Think Any Other Games Are Really "GTA Style" Games? In the time we have all been waiting for VI I've watched a lot of videos and read lists of games that are supposed to be "GTA Clones" or at least "GTA Style".I've even bought and played quite a few, but never found one that I would consider particularly similar to The Trilogy, IV or V in real terms.I wouldn't call any of them GTA clones, but I think after V and the long wait till VI everyone and their dad was looking for exactly that.We got a slew of videos and articles popping up claiming anything open world with guns, cars, and a story was a GTA clone, listing them one by one, as if just to fill a half hour video or a webpage.Yeah, YouTube and site traffic it all gathered "may have been" some "contributing factor", granted... /Dr Evil air-quotes.Regardless, suddenly it seemed there were a ton of games queueing up to be labelled as GTA clones, while trying to hide all their other real credentials behind their backs.Saints Row, especially the latest one, is great, but it doesn't feel anything like playing GTA. There are bits of it that slightly "echo" GTA, mainly the driving which is quality, but it's great in it's own right.I didn't feel at all like I was playing GTA with Saints Row, unless you only count the GTA "Strangers and Freaks" missions, with additional doses of freaky strangeness steroids.It's more some strange futuristic psychedelia with guns and cars, and I didn't wish I was playing GTA again until the all too short game ended.I have all of them on one Launcher or another, but the only one I put more than an hour into (completed) was the reboot, as I basically bought them all at the same time and that looked to be the best one.Just Cause is even less like GTA in every way so not sure how that is even on the list, and I've not played Sleeping Dogs yet, despite owning it, or Total Overdose so can't comment.Yakuza 0 I have played (completed), and that's another one that is very different from GTA but very fun. It's way more a beat em up than anything else, but it does have progression, and a very Japanese story that doesn't remind me of anything I've ever seen in GTA whatsoever.Mafia, I don't know if it was trying to be like GTA, but I couldn't get into it as I didn't really enjoy the driving or gunplay as much as GTA over the maybe hour or so total I put into Mafia III.That's another one I bought the whole series at once and only tried the newest one of it first. Apparently they are good if you stick with them.The car in Mafia III felt like driving a truck to me, and the combat didn't have the polish or features I hoped for. Was that the one the gun jams constantly by any chance?I will try III again, but not think of it as a substitute for GTA this time (I definitely bought it hoping it was...), so I will potentially enjoy it more as "Mafia" instead of "So We Herd U Liek GTA".I assume it all get's better, but I literally was looking for something more like GTA at the time, ironically it's really just not particularly similar.Admittedly, and now I think on it more, the main or maybe only reason I picked up most of those titles, WAS because they were on those videos and lists of "10 GTA Clones TO Play While You Wait!"The Android games (Gangstar?) that were supposedly GTA like, were so riddled with micro-transactions I just couldn't, but I like China Town Wars some as mobile games go.I still have not personally found any game out of the ones I tried that really reminded me of any GTA particularly much, so just wondering if anyone thinks similarly or otherwise? Glad you asked. Short version: it's a Thai show that chronicles the epic highs and lows of the love story between the son of one of Bangkok's biggest criminal families and the bodyguard that's supposed to protect him. Here's a short trailer for your viewing pleasure so that it sets to the tone.

The long version? Oh boy 😏

Let me give you a rundown of all the characters:

Kinn: middle child and heir apparent to Theerapanyakul mafia family. Massive trust issues. Somewhat emotionally constipated. He loves Porsche very much but is an idiot about it. His ego is big as his tiddies, which are always on display for everyone's viewing pleasure. Obsessed with making gun jokes.

Porsche: bartended turned bodyguard for the Theerapanyakul family. Massive himbo, but we love him for it. Fiercely loyal. Has zero sense of self-preservation. Tends to get himself in sticky (HA!) situations after a few drinks. All around little shit, 10/10 would recommend.

Vegas: our resident little meowfioso. Objectively speaking he's is a garbage human being but that's alright because he's hot while doing it. He is Kinn's cousin and the family issues between him and Kinn is what (mostly) fuels Vegas rage. Tries to pursue Porsche with the same relentlessness of the squirrel in Ice Age who desperately wants that nut. And much like the squirrel, he fails spectacularly at it every time. Also, whips and chains do excite him. He relaxes by torturing people.

Pete: Porsche's bestie, also a bodyguard. Not going to spoil much but... Him and Vegas? More than meet the eye. He's a certified Freak™️. Everyone in the Theerapanyakul compound has seen his ass - including his boss. He's bit of an enigma tbh. Everyone in the fandom is cheering for him to get kidnapped and tortured. Whips and chains do excite him as well.

Kim: Kinn's lil bro. Affectionately known as Kimlock Holmes because he has an investigation/murder wall in his bedroom. He's not too involved with the main family but he is investigating the presence of a mole. When he is not investigating, he plays music, uses copious amounts of lip gloss (seriously, how are the man's lips always so hydrated and juicy????). Because of his investigation, he ends up crossing paths with Porsche's lil brother.

(Por)Chay: Porsche's lil bro. Absolute ray of sunshine. Cannot speak one bad word about him. He is so sweet that every time he's on screen I can feel my cavities growing. Has a crush the size of Texas on Kim.

Tankhun: eldest son of the Theerapanyakul fam. He's allegedly batshit cray cray but honestly? Smartest one of them all. Excellent fashion sense, I cannot emphasize enough how much I would love to raid his closet. Lover of tv dramas and certified fish dad.

There are many more characters but these are the main ones.

The series has some problematic moments (ex. dub con) so if that may be a trigger I'd suggest giving it a skip. It's such a fun series because everyone involved (aside from Chay I'd say) is on some level a terrible human being. They literally lie, kill, torture etc. as their daytime job lmao. The series has its fluffy moments, funny moments, (very) sexy moments and action packed moments. The cinematography alone is just... *chef's kiss*

You can legally watch KinnPorsche on Iqiyi - I think the first episode is available without a subscription here, at least you can gage if it's something that you may enjoy before committing :)

Jame Supamongkon is out from his series with Net. Oh well. I wish him the best. I supported him before his pairing as NetJames and will continue to always. He is one of my favourite actors so of course I'll love him whatever project he takes in the future and happy to see his growth as an artist. Just please do another season of mafia the series: guns and freaks. Please.
