so i'm currently reading Nobody Like Us and i'm not sure i'm liking it... i fear i've grown out of this series (i hope not bc they've been my favs for YEARS)

but i just feel like i'm getting tired of KBR's style/writing. the second-hand embarrassment scenes are just too much for me at this point.

maybe it's just the amnesia plot. i hate it so much. also was not into the kidnapping thing, this is not a freaking mafia romance. i also have to admit i don't like the alien stuff... *gun shots*

but i'm just 10% through NLU, i'll keep you guys updated.

1. My favorite character of all time ??? This is hard 🥲. I really, really love my girls Elain Archeron and Lily Calloway 😭🫶🏻.

2. My favorite OTP is Elriel (no one is surprised 🩷). Honorable mention to Lunnelly 🫶🏻🫶🏻

3. This one is a bit hard for me because I try not to think about characters I dislike 🧐? But the obvious answer for me is Danika from CC 😵‍💫. She was a horrible friend to Bryce and the more I read about her the more I dislike her 💀.

4. A popular ship I despise 😀. *clears throat* of all the canon ships out there it’s hard to think of one I dislike. So, I am going to tweak my answer and say the ship I find most overrated is Ruhnlidia /Nightbright. They left me very cold when I read CC2 and I felt more meh than anything else….however, I am keeping an open mind for CC3 🫶🏻.

5. I wish this was just a character you relate to because then I could say Lily Calloway and be done with it 😭. I feel like I’m too boring to relate to a lot of storylines that I read about or watch 🫠. Sooooo I am going to say Agnes Grey from Agnes Grey and Fanny Price from *Mansfield Park*…. Apparently no one from this century 😀.

6. LMAOO this one is so out of pocket, but basically every character Jason Bateman has play reminds me of my dad. Especially Michael Bluth from Arrested Development….and in The Gift there is a speech he does that is literally my dad to a t…we were cracking up in the theaters when we saw it 💀.

7. I would want Feyre as my sister!!!! 🩷🩷🩷

8. Ahhh, I don’t think I a pinpoint one character but I assume everyone is a brunette when I read….so many times I’ve had moments where is just “what do you mean they’re blonde???”

9. Let’s just say it’s an animal death that shall not be named.

minor nlu spoilers! you've been warned! (nothing to serious, it's just a conversation between Loren and donnelly but no major spoilers!! so if you peak you'll be fine I promise!)

lo comforting donnelly during the superbowl get together scene is the peak of character development and you cannot change my mind. we went from lo being a alcoholic who (especially in addicted to you) was a complete asshole and said the worse things just to hurt people for the hell of it to now (nobody like us) he is sitting comforting his daughters boyfriend (who he could hate and have valid reasons to hate him) but instead reassuring him that nothing that happened to luna in misfits like us was his fault. getting angry and even protective (at least that's what I am getting from it) over donnelly's situation growing up and his father being the way he is.

like he uses his experience to comfort donnelly and if you've read all the books in the addicted series you know that man was going through hell and back when it came to his feelings and relationship with his father. he comforted donnelly the same way he comforted garrison in skop and bad rep duet when he found out his brothers were hurting him and his parents didn't care enough to step in and acknowledge the real issue. him telling donnelly 'why are you expecting so damn much from yourself' 'youre doing your best. it's enough' and 'she's not in pain. she's the happiest I've seen her in a long time'

LIKE LOREAN MOTHER FUCKING HALE SAYING THOSE THINGS TO SOMEONE, THOSE THINGS THAT HIM HIMSELF WHEN HE WAS IN HIS 20S FIGHTING ADDICTION AND RELAPSING AND DEALING WITH EVERYTHING KBR PUT HIM THROUGH NEEDED TO HEAR BACK THEN, WHEN HE WAS BLAMING HINSELF FOR LILY'S ADDICTION, WHEN HE ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE HE COULDN'T HANDLE THE RUMORS ABOUT HIS FATHER ANYMKRE THAT HE DRANK A WHOLE BOTTLE OF LIQUOR ANS PASSES OUT ON THE KITCHEN FLOOR, LOREAN MOTHERFUCKING HALE IS SAYING THESE THINGS TO SOMEONE WHO IS SO SIMILAR TO HIM ON SO MANY WAYS YET SO DIFFERENT!!!

him being that comfort for someone is the most beautiful thing to read about and will never fail to make me ugly sob because he was truly made to be a father and knowing that at one point he had that talk with Lily saying they shouldn't have kids?! BEAUTIFUL! COMPELLING! A MASTERPIECE! ART IF YOU ASK ME!! LOREN HALE IS THE FACE OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!
