Ok ok so

- Mike's mother is either directly the sister of a head mafia member or she is one herself

- Pat stole Mike ???? What if Pat stole Mike from the mafia-

- Mike finding out that his bio family is filthy rich and he's like "wait a minute-"

- Mike straight up telling Pat "I appreciate you saving me from the mafia and all but I think I'm better suited for that hustler lifestyle" and other similar jokes that gives Pat massive migraines

- ....Is mafia!Mike the reason why he couldn't wake up the staff last season?

- This is less of a Mike mafia expectation and more of a general prediction - I think Cindy will manipulate Mike to join his team (for whatever reason she has mafia!mike or not) and then Jakeem with the pink pen will fight for his best friend back. And I will love him for it.

How did you react to finding out Mike was heir to the Italian Mob?

great question op,

So it all started with a dream. And that dream was to get trae romano to explain why mike has an Italian accent and pat doesn't. so i made on joke on trae's live and asked 'was mike's mom Italian? is that why mike has the accent?" and which he responded. "probably so.". but that vague answer lead me to believe, what is he hiding? why just probably? is there a reason why he doesn't want us to know of mike's Italian heritage? and that begs the question.. could his mother have been a part of the Italian mob? is that why her identity must be kept secret. also a mafia au may have been developed here or there, but thats beside the point.

so anyway mike being a isa kid basically confirmed this theory because his mother is definitely super shady.

Why do people think Mike is in the Maffia now???

But wait!

What if instead of the catharsis and the helping Mike grow from the trauma of shattering a man into a million pieces we all thought he would receive from the team and his parents Cindy uses the fact that he killed Icicle in her plans to recruit him?

Like what if Mike steals the pink pen from Courtney's room, because he knows it has powers and he wants to see if he can get them to work for him. So he brings it with him to hang out with Jakeem and that's when they discover that the pen comes to life when Jakeem takes it, but when they rush to tell the team and Pat about it Mike gets the opposite reaction he expected. Instead of being happy that he found them another JSA member Pat and Courtney get angry over Mike sneaking into her room and stealing the pen, Pat might even get so angry that he completely bans Mike from participating in the team or superhero stuff which of course being a part of the team was the only reason Mike stole the pen in the first place so there's the heartbreak that ensues after that decision, further alienating Mike from the family and strengthening his feelings of being alone and left out especially by Pat.

Leaving him in the perfect mindset for Cindy to swoop in and manipulate him. She could reveal to him either the fan theory that Pat stole Mike from a mafia or supervillain family and isn't his real father so of course he doesn't care about Mike, his family was a family of villains Mike was born to be the antithesis of everything Pat stands for so of course Pat "Stripesy" Dugan would love Star Staff chosen Courtney over him or it could be that Pat's ex wife's (Mike's mother) family is a criminal family and one of the reasons for their split was Mike was meant to be the heir of some big evil title so Pat stole him away from that. And Cindy armed with this knowledge of Mike's genealogy uses his less than savory deeds ie. the theft of the pink pen and the murdering of Icicle to get inside his head to convince him to work with her

She could slip him little lies and stuff like, "evil is in your blood that's why you didn't even flinch when you killed Icicle", "your dad tried to get you away from your mom to keep you from being evil but clearly he's realized he failed and he's pushing you away", "stealing a powerful magical weapon after you killed a man on your first mission they're all afraid of you they think you'd do more harm than good" just playing on the fact that from the very beginning Mike's biggest fear was being not good enough to be included and now here she is at his lowest moment where his father just basically confirmed that he was right they don't want or need him on the team and she's telling him that being evil was in his blood and that no matter how good he tried to be or how hard he tried to get away from it, he would always end up doing the wrong thing. I also think that some magic coaxing from Eclipso will also be necessary in bringing him to their side, maybe Eclipso will possess Cindy again and use her to say all this to Mike as a spell to lure him onto their side.

And what if (long shot honestly) they put Mike under a spell that can be triggered whenever they want to and Mike becomes this new masked villain they fight at night and none of the JSA can figure out who this new villain might be during the daytime because Mike himself doesn't even know he's doing it just that he wakes up in the morning a lot more than tired than he should be and with a lot of bruises he can't explain, but no one's really talking to him and he's not really talking to anyone since the pen thing so it's not like there's anyone he can talk to about this stuff so no one really notices when Mike kind of starts to slip off the radar

Also bonus points if they hit the trope of "the weakest one becomes the strongest one on the other side"

But much longer post than I intended later, I'm sure none of this will come true because every prediction I make about Mike Dugan being important never does 😭

Where did he go first? American Dream.

Who works at American Dream? Beth's dad.

Who's Beth? Doctor Midnite.

What was the original Doctor Midnite? Blind.

Who blinded him? The mob.

Who's the heir to the mob? Mike Dugan.

Who's Mike Dugan? Courtney Whittemore's step brother?

Who's Courtney Whittemore? The one who recruited the new Doctor Midnite to the JSA.

All I'm saying is that this is something to consider.
