Warrior Penelope Pre-Epic

This is an Epic: the Musical AU with some inspiration from other myths, one that has no bases in history. That being said I will try to somewhat keep it grounded in realism for the world in some aspects. Once again please don't say this is historically accurate some elements are historic but most aren't.

Thoughts under the cut.

Penelope was trained in basic combat and how to manage a household do to being a Spartan. She however doesn't have any divine mentor. (I was tempted to do either Ares, Artemis, or Hera but I didn't want to have a god that was on the Trojan's side and I have plans for Hera later and her being Penelope's mentor screws up those plans)

So instead of pretending to be mad, Odysseus decides it would be better if he couldn't fight. (I have some problems with that myth and the logic behind it.) Odysseus screws up a hunt or does it himself but he injures his leg enough that he can't stand.

Palamedes arrives and demands Odysseus to fight for Agamemnon. Odysseus points out his injury but Palamedes doesn't buy it.

Eventually Palamedes accepts the fact Odysseus is truly disabled. (Palamedes throws Telemachus off a cliff while Penelope is tied up. Odysseus injures himself worse trying to get to his son. Athena ends up saving him and scolded Palamedes.)

Palamedes stumped tells Agamemnon and Agamemnon being the ass he is tells Palamedes regardless of Odysseus's condition to bring him to Troy as they can't win without him. He also sworn an oath and no one in Odysseus's family beside Odysseus could fufil it as his father is insane and his son is an infant.

The healers treating Odysseus fear that if Odysseus was to leave Ithaca due to infection and possible blood loss. Not to mention if he survives he would never survive combat.

Penelope begs Palamedes to let her go to Troy in her husband's stead. Palamedes is unsure but Agamemnon doesn't protest. They all figure that Penelope would die in the first battle and then they could send for Odysseus and maybe he will be well enough to fight. Odysseus protests but Penelope shuts him up.

Penelope shows Palamedes that she is more than capable of thinking up strategies and would be worth taking her husbands place so that the oath can continue to be honored.

Eurylochus while on the ship acts as a figure head to ensure that Penelope's orders are obeyed. (Her and Eurylochus have a much closer bond than Odysseus and Eurylochus did in Epic.)

Odysseus makes Athena swear an oath that during the war she will aid his wife and ensure she leaves Troy alive. (Athena afterwards trains Penelope in fighting and battle strategy.)

Due to Penelope not being respected due to her gender she becomes ruthless. She is known for killing any Trojans she comes across including women and children. (It started off to save them from slavery but after the first year she does so to ensure that she is feared enough that no one thinks of betraying her.)

Penelope and Diomedes are close friends. Diomedes will often repeat Penelope's plans so that the men actually follow them at least during the first part of the war. After that her reputation and protection by Athena is enough to deter any men from disobeying her though Diomedes continues to be her number 1 supporter in Troy.

Athena carried messages between Penelope and Odysseus with Odysseus helping Penelope plan strategies including the Trojan Horse.

Penelope makes Athena swear that she wouldn't tell Odysseus what she has become during the war in fear that her kind and gentle husband would leave her if he found out she became a monster.

Penelope is called the Amazon or Monstruous Queen by the Greeks and even some of the soldiers of Ithaca. She actually likes those titles as it shows the fear that they had for her and the more they feared her the less likely they were to disobey her.

Odysseus tries to heal quickly in order to take Penelope's place in the war but it is revealed that his injury had done a lot of damage to his leg so that he could barely walk. Odysseus is forced to use either a wheelchair or crutches. While Odysseus should use a wheelchair more than crutches he doesn't as he doesn't want to appear any more weak than he already seems.

After Penelope leaves for Troy, women of Ithaca (including Calypso for this au) begin to flock to the palace as they think Penelope would soon die and they could become royalty and have their sons sit on the throne.

The suitors at first tried to get Telemachus to aid them in their goals once he is old enough, but Telemachus never trusts them or like them. They begin to see him as a threat but with Penelope still alive they can't do anything.

Once it becomes clear that Odysseus is permanently disabled. Nobles and princes flock to Ithaca to try to become the Prince's tutor and an aid to the king. Odysseus knows that it is a ploy so that they can kill him and his son so they would become king. (Odysseus distracts them somehow I haven't figured out yet.)

That Medical Anomaly

Summary

An AU where the reader is the subject of a secretive experiment that leaves them the perfect Player... among other things.

Possible triggering themes for this AU/story include medical trauma, descriptions of chronic illness, ableism, depression, and death. If I've handled anything insensitively, please let me know.

A more 'formal' introduction, along with rambling about my thought process, under the cut.

Self Aware MadCom belongs to @saltymongoose. The concept is really interesting to me, even aside from the xreader stuff (although it's definitely also that lmao). So I thought I might explore that a bit with a concept that's already been floating around my head for a bit. The world that the reader is from is deliberately left a bit vague, but it's sort of magical realism. Most relevant to this AU: there are things like doctors and computers existing alongside curses and other magical ailments.

Also, this doesn't really include much MadCom or SAMAU... Well, no interactions with the characters, anyways. It's mostly just an introduction to my ideas for this AU, so it describes more of what your life was like beforehand and how you found the series. Do also note that I've never played either M:PN game, so there might be some inaccuracies.

You, along with several others, were the subject of an experiment when you were a teenager. It was so secretive, you were never even given the details of why it had been conducted. That, or you had forgotten, given that one of the major side effects of the experiment was memory loss.

The experiment itself was something about deliberately letting specific kinds of contagions into the subject's body. You knew a few of them were fungal, and many were magical in some way, although they were different for every experiment.

Apparently if they chose the right infections for the right subject and 'balanced' them properly with the individual's immune system... they would stabilize. This led to the subject gaining supernatural abilities based on whatever magical infections they had.

Of course, most of the subjects weren't so lucky. The various infections would usually just take their courses; often the combinations would very quickly kill the subject. Those that survived were left with permanent problems ranging from aphasia to compromised immune systems to seizures.

You were their star subject, the one better off than all the rest. The staff made sure to remind you of that every time you complained about anything. "Be grateful," they told you. "At least you can still speak. At least you're still recovering. At least you're still alive." They never said it out loud, but you heard the implication. All of this is only happening because of us.

Bullshit. You were only 'better off' because of sheer dumb luck. Had they succeeded? Maybe. But their idea of success didn't even take you into account.

And their idea of success still left you with problems. Yes, you have sharper senses now, and you can draw energy from more than just food. But you're face-blind, and your hands and feet are numb, and you sometimes hurt so badly that you can't walk.

Not to mention how unethical the experiment itself was. They didn't even study people who already had these conditions; they deliberately induced them. Hell, one of your roommates was six years old! Why they let her participate still bothered you today.

...But it wasn't all bad. You cherished the friends you'd made there, even if you'd lost contact with most of them.

Not just your fellow patients, either. Most of the staff were... annoying at the very least. But a few seemed to actually have your best interests in mind. For example, your favorite nurse, Max, recommended an animated series that might help take your mind off of things when you were in the depths of depression.

You very quickly fell in love with Madness Combat. The simple graphics, where characters were denoted by outfit and style rather than facial features, seemed perfect for you. You grew to adore Hank, Deimos, Sanford, Tricky, and every other character, getting invested in their fights even when nothing else made you happy.

And the episodes were just plain fun to watch. Even when you had issues with your memory, the fight scenes interested you more than enough to make up for it. The community, too, seemed to welcome you, and you came to cherish the friends you made there.

Not only that, but you found a little game on Newgrounds. Although your numb hands made it hard to play, it really did capture the things that made you adore Madcom to begin with. Your favorite nurse approved too; after all, it was an exercise in hand-eye coordination!

Naturally, you were beyond thrilled when Project Nexus came out. By that point, you'd already left the facility. And your memory had recovered enough to get well and truly obsessed with the lore.

You smiled, picking the Tourist difficulty and sitting back to watch the intro cinematic. This was going to be fun.

(Unbeknownst to you, it would also be much, much more than you bargained for.)

I’m not sure if this one counts considering neither character (indeed none of the listed characters) plays for the Bruins anymore, but the grimy, seedy, small town sense of desperation and the concrete slice-of-life observations are so wonderfully evoked, you feel Springfield Massachusetts like fungus growing under your fingernails. I recommend listening to “Coattails” by Broods as a soundtrack while reading this.

The throughline of aching to return to Boston guts me, it's the perfect theme to use in an AU because it's such a central part of the 'being traded away from a team that you considered home' experience, so it really carries over perfectly.

(Think of a Fallout 4 mission where you’re running around Boston frantically trying to save your infected colleague from dying before you can tell him you love him.) The climactic resolution is handled so tenderly and naturally, so in-character and with so little fuss, it fills me with utter joy every time.

Before she got bit, Gabi and Denji were traveling 'n surviving together during the apocalypse. Gabi in this au was kinda dogshit at fighting so Denji usually did most of the combat, which he was cool with !! Denji is very pro "protect gf at all costs" trust

Gabi ends up getting bitten after saving Denji from being bitten. She gets bit right on the shoulder, so there's no possible way to stunt the infection with amputation. Virus slowly grows thru her body and drives her near insanity and turns her in around a week or two. Denji stayed with Gabi through it all, and could only helplessly watch as Gabi slowly withered away in front of him

He was gonna mercy kill her but couldn't bring himself to do so after Gabi lacked any aggression towards him. It was a slight moment of hesitance at first but then it just ended with Denji deciding "actually fuck it fuck YOU she's my gf we're locked together 🤞🏻" and keeping her with him ♥︎.

▪︎instead of having a craving for human flesh, gabi craves zombie meat instead !! very aggro against other zombies !!!

▪︎denji eventually learning to understand what gabi's groans mean (that, or he's just gone mad ☹)

▪︎ gabi has bouts of regaining consciousness/sentience. some days are better than others. the first time scared denji so bad like bro did NOT expect that.

context: saint pearl is the same as hc s9 pearl. she also has three champions which she bestowed some of her powers to. gem (dimension hopping/sun), katherine (combat/night), sausage (plants/dimensions hopping)

gem always knew she had some level of control over dimensional rifts and felt stronger in the daytime. so naturally, she explores the limits of her powers and then does the reasonable thing and kills sausage to have sole power of dimensions. then kills katherine because night was in direction opposition of her. pearl is mad cause she just killed two of her champions so she comes over through the rift, but gem kills her and becomes a god

context: made this after the festival, but before the hermits came through the rift. in this au the rift doesn't open at all

during the ancient city raid gem finds an enchanted golden apple. shows it to katherine, false, and lizzie. they all want it for their own reasons. katherine (remove her curse), false (restore her memory), lizzie (for her community center). dispite all that she gives it to shelby. katherine/false/lizzie all come asking for it and shelby decides to pick at the festival

instead if choosing anyone tho she uses it to beat up joey (for katherine's love) false and lizze sees this as shelby ultimately choosing katherine (even though she got nothing out of it) and false gets really upset and starts a full on war. gem plays all sides of the war until she reveal she found 2 enchanted golden apples and the ending can just be gem chooses your favorite blorbo to win the war

after coming up from the deep dark gem doesn't think anything big really happend but every step she takes has some sculk left behide. she is also now starting to see blue flames in the distance/corner of her eye. her kingdom is slowly infected by sculk and then blames cub/shelby (even though she saw the sculk before either of them interacted with sculk. gem confides in sausage (making sure to put all the blame on shelby) and sausage tells her about sainta pearla and how she was basically the sun incarnate. gem goes home and starts a church for sainta pearla to try and ward off the sculk. this doesn't work so she makes special sunglasses which makes it so nobody can see the sculk that is now firmly overtaking her base. and that's the real reason she wants everyone to wear these sunglasses. eventually after shelby gets cured she comes over (no sunglasses) and confronts gem. she gets her to take off her sunglasses and really see how bad she let it get. and then runs away to hermitcraft so she doesn't have to deal with her problems

Lockdown

This is kinda an idea after seeing a lot of infection au and thought of something different and recalled the biohazard stage and its manga, the marhawa desire so before I start...

How did this happen? One minute everything was a normal day...and now...it has became a nightmare?

The whole college ground is under lockdown as outside the college are news reporters and military vehicles, Aeryn recognizes the logo in her classroom.

She knew that his here and frown as she hug her legs close then looked back at the others who took shelter at classroom.

*Anne and Allen are trying to get a signal after it gets shut down and same time recovering from escaping, Anne doesn't wear her usual heels and switches to sneakers.

*Letitia fixes Hajun glasses after one of the infected tried to eat him by pinning him on the ground but luckily he knock the infected out.

*It was surprising that Yohei visited since Shiki was thinking of entering college once he finished high school and Ryu joined in and nearly got eaten after what they witnessed...Yohei had to grab the emergency fire axe and chop the dead college student head off and Shiki manage to grab first aid kit from inside the emergency fire axe

And last is Naoakira, he was gonna start the lecture when the outbreak strike in college.

Aeryn on the other hand had managed to run even with the weak stamina she had, she sought shelter.

Right now she prayed for the other student and faculty members manage to escape or seek shelter and not became the undead...

"Do you think..." Shiki spoke up and everyone turn to him "Do you think someone will save us?"

Aeryn wanted to say something but she didn't want to get suspicious so she calmly replied "Well the people outside have called some military, and I heard that they are known to handle this..."

Hajun spoke "Zombies?"

Aeryn nodded as Letitia decided to speak up "Look I know we are all on the edge right now especially what happened, at least were safe..."

Ryu then decided to speak up "Still I want to know..." He turn to Aeryn giving her the most uncanny look as he smile maliciously like mad hatter which made Aeryn shiver...

But what else is worse...is his question...

"How long will you keep lying?"

Aeryn swallow her breathe as she looks pale when he asked, Naoakira saw this and turn to Ryu.

"Ryu please don't....your not helping..."

"But Boss..."

"Please..."

Aeryn was relief but looked out the window again...as she looked out she saw a few undead students walking around aimlessly as she looked back at the front...

There she sees a familiar military hummer as it park in front and driver door open revealing a male.

He wore a light blue green and gray with a black sleeveless turtleneck underneath, his light green flak combat vest is darker, his knee pads are white, his pants are gray and his combat boots are black.

Dark brown hair and tired bluish brown eyes that had calm down after the storm.

Aeryn knew him well...as this man is known other than Chris Redfield.

Her heart is beating fast since he went on his own, where's Piers? Did he stay behind? Or had to do desk work...

Naoakira notice Aeryn's behavior and Hajun and Letitia too as the two couples recalls Ryu question to Aeryn...

How long will you keep lying?

Is she hiding something? But there thoughts were cut short when they heard gun shots follow by the undead groans and growls, Yohei grab the axe and protected Anne, Allen, Shiki, and Ryu.

While Hajun protects Letitia and Naoakira stood beside Aeryn held her rosary necklace as she knew that its him...his here...his here for her...

The noise slowly died down and they heard voices on the other side...

"Area clear sir..."

"Search for survivors..."

"Yes sir..."

Aeryn wanted to approach the stairs but heard heavy footsteps approaching the door and watched as someone tried to open the barricade lock.

Letitia is worried as Hajun watch as the voice on the other end called out the leader stating that the door is lock and possible have survivors, without hesitation the door knob is shot out and heavy boots kick the door wide open.

Everyone were startled and Aeryn didn't as her eyes met the familiar blue eyes.

"Chris..." Was all she could say as Chris saw her and relief, the moment he saw her, he rush to her and hug her.

Aeryn took a whimp of his scent, cologne, blood, sweat...he was worried...his grip tighten her as he let out a sighed.

"Thank God..."

Letitia and Hajun are shock at this as Ryu grin.

"I told you...she's lying..."

After rescuing the remaining the students and faculty members, Aeryn held onto the blanket that was given to her and sat at the hummer driver seat as she is recovering from the attack.

While the rest are being check-up, Chris approach her.

"How are you?"

Aeryn look up to him as she nodded "I'm a bit shaken...but alright..."

Chris kneel down still holding his bear commando rifle as he place his hand at her lap giving a soft squeeze, Aeryn held his hand feeling the kevlar glove.

"...Chris..."

"I...I know you said that you'll be fine...but I worried for you...everyday..."

Aeryn listen more as Chris bit his bottom lip "From the moment I heard about the outbreak here...I knew your there...and worried that...that-"

"Chris you know I'm not helpless...plus I can't expose my abilities...if I showed them...I might be...."

Chris held her cheek as he didn't want to hear the last word...he understood...on the other side of the hummer, Yohei who had finish the check-up heard everything and is smoking.

He had to admit, but Ryu is right and is onto something...

Aeryn is hiding something...

The moment he threw the cigar on the ground and stomp it he walk away...unaware the shadow stayed behind.

The students and faculty were told to stay in hotel until the time being, upon staying Yohei inform Naoakira and the rest in hotel room as they are gather and getting info.

"So not only does Aeryn and Chris knows each other, but she has this "Ability"?" Anne spoke as Yohei nodded.

"I know its crazy but I think Aeryn is hiding something, I mean have any of you find her...off?"

Shiki wanted to stay quite but he spoke up "Now that you mention it..when I first saw her pet..."cat...it was weird...his ears has flames, glaring at me and his tails were pitchfork...not to mention the three stuff toys she has...I swore they were moving whenever I look away....."

Allen then recalls one more "Her cousin, Sebastian...does not like me especially told me to back off from snooping on her privacy...I mean I didn't mean to look into her sketchbook...there were a lot of things and people..."

They turn to him and Hajun asked "Fictional?"

Allen shake his head and added "No real, and she even wrote some...here I'll show you the pics."

Naoakira didn't want to look but he wants to know why she's acting weird and hiding...so the moment they look into Allen's phone...they saw various sketches of males and females...and he saw one that caught his attention.

"I still remember the day we chat...whenever I look back, I can't help but to see you smile...when and you said 'It's been a while since I smile, maybe because seeing you makes me feel ease...' and I'm glad..."

Naoakira felt a bit of jealousy...he stood up and approach the door, Letitia look up and spoke "Professor?"

"Excuse me but I think I have to talk to her..."

The moment he left, they swore the atmosphere around him change...

Meanwhile, at Aeryn's room.

Aeryn wore a comfy attire with her leg warmers as she is glad she brought her stuff and Chris said he has to get Grim from her place, and when he did.

Grim rush towards her, the monster cat hug her.

"Minion!"

Aeryn hug him as she needed that "glad your okay...you and the tsums..."

Tsum! Chris hop out from her backpack still shaken, sure he and his human counterpart had witness but still shaken...even Tsum! Crewel and Claire as they gather around and cuddle at her legs.

Chris sat down on the edge of the bed and sighed as he saw how cuddly Tsum! Crewel is and it made him a bit jealous but same time recalls his arguments with him.

Aeryn looked up to Chris and asked "By the way...how's everyone back at St. Micheal?"

Chris smile at her and answered "Well, its not same when you and the rest are not around...Krauser said that he spotted Scry entering your old room and sat down on bed and misses you..."

Aeryn smile and stroke Grim ears "I miss him too along Mr. Bunny and Mr.Shadow..."

Chris cherish her cheek as he kiss her "I also miss holding you and kiss you..."

"Your such a sap you know that?" She giggles as he chuckle, sadly the wholesome moment didn't last as they were startled by a loud knock on the door.

She got out putting Grim on the bed and opens the door to see, Naoakira...his giving her a serious look in her.

"Oh...um hey professor...what's wron-"

"Aeryn...we need to talk."

His golden eyes turns to Chris giving him a glare, Aeryn is worried so she walk out of her room. Grim pop out from under the pillow and worried.

"Aeryn?"

"..."

Library room ((if you live in Philippines, chances are you heard about Palms country club, my relative often invites my family either by tennis before or event...))

The two enter a secluded area since the library is small yet quite. "Um...is something wrong?"

Naoakira pinch his nosebridge...

"...how long..."

"P-Pardon?"

"How long have you been lying?"

Aeryn flinched as Naoakira put his glasses down and glare her down, she bit her bottom lips as she spoke.

"I...I really don't kno-"

"Don't lie to me little mouse."

"Little mouse? Really? And I thought Crewel's 'puppy' is worse."

They turn to see Chris...glaring at him, Aeryn knew...

If she doesn't tells the truth...things are going south...

Screen!Breaker Sans

Screen!Breaker Sans, The fusion of Insans, Screen of Death!Sans, and SaveBreaker!Sans

BACKSTORY

Screen!Breaker was originally a normal sans in an Au, but once the human fell into the underground, the human brought a virus (was not natural) that infected the monsters making them weaker and dust within a couple of hours

Because of this Alphys had to close of hotland to prevent any infected monsters and the human from getting to the rest of the monsters population

The Alphys in this Au at first tried to develop a cure for the virus but failed as the human broke through the hotland barrier and Alphys got infected leading to her death

However Sans at the time also became infected and by the time he got to the king, he was already dead with the human standing their and at that time he saw the human RESET and then sans woke up, right back where he was before the human fell, at first he thought it was a dream intill it kept happening over and over and over again

Eventually Sans confronted the human, he wanted to know why, he wanted them to stop, but the human didn’t listen and instead infected him with a different virus

A virus that messed with his code, preventing sans from using his abilities normally

Now this sans was forced to watch everyone die around him and including himself, while he himself couldn’t do anything, this eventually drove him mad

Eventually Sans decided to kill the rest of the monsters, after all they all were going to die anyway, might as well end it sooner so they don’t suffer

But even with his high LV, the virus kept weakening him and the human was staring to overpower him

And in that moment sans got the idea to use the power of the human souls so he retreated to the barrier where he and the human will have their final fight

However it did not go as expected, the virus prevented Sans from absorbing the souls but the souls were still able to give sans their power so sans used the souls to power himself, this overloaded his body causing some damage to both his physical body and code

But sans couldn’t control this power and accidentally destroyed his Au and the human

Sans then awoken in the void with the human soul floating a top of him with the other souls seemingly disappeared

Sans (with the human soul) wandered the void and eventually Sans found a jar in the void to put the soul in

He also eventually found holes in the void that allowed him to go into other Au’s

And this is where his story ends as now he just does whatever he wants, he is still somewhat crazy as now he robs people of their gold and he still hates humans (specifically Frisks)

He tends to think of himself as the pirate of the multiverse

Bloodfiend PM AU: Geist Clan Hardblood Arts

Geist Hardblood Arts 1: Torn Wings

A Fighting technique created by the Geist Clan Elder who devised it to fight against a Family of Bloodfiends who had taken to striking from above, it's meant to fight against enemies on higher ground or in the air. It's rarely used nowadays, due to the Geist's 'new' preference for long range combat.

Geist Hardblood Arts 2: Strike of the Viper

One of the greatest and most foul techniques of the Geist Clan of Bloodfiends, they heavily utilize poisons that will either cause their target to bleed out rapidly, unable to staunch the flow of blood from the wounds. This has led to it being rare among the Geist Bloodfiends, many of them unable to utilize this technique without harming themselves.

Geist Hardblood Arts 3: Rage of the Grave

The last resort of all Geist Clan Bloodfiends, The Rage of the Grave is a tool of the Clan to survive in dangerous situations where they would otherwise have died. The only known survivor of this technique stated he felt as his own blood hardened within his veins, turning into crystal so he could continue standing and fighting, ignoring the blows that tried to end him.

Geist Ultimate Hardblood Arts 1: Burning Blood

The epitome of the Geist Clan fighting style of denying blood to those they fight, this form of the poisoned blood will instead burst into flames when it manages to 'infect' the enemy, burning them from the inside out. This is incredibly dangerous even for extremely skilled Bladesmasters of the Geist Clan Bloodfiends.

Geist Ultimate Hardblood Arts 2: Venom of the Dead

A Final fuck you to anyone who slays a Geist Clan Bloodfiend, their bodies will swell up and explode into a poisonous gas cloud that will eat through most protective measures that can be taken, this is something unique only to the Geist Clan who use it as a way to say 'do not strike us down if you care for life'.

Geist Ultimate Hardblood Arts 3: Crystallized Fury

The final art learned by the past Geist Clan before the final practitioner of it was lost with La-Mancha Land, this is extremely dangerous to the point of madness to attempt to use. The major part of this art is to crystallize the blood of the user into a field of weapons within their own body, with only three Geist Bloodfiends having survived this technique.

Not even those two are safe😅. She has no discrimination towards anyone. She will prank everyone. Her favorite way to prank Duftmon would be to leave a p*rn book out in open in the library and on the raunchiest page she can find(she embarrasses herself doing that). She's actually from a Corruption AU. It had to do with data morphing/eating parasitic digital lifeform based off of the one in Digimon Cyber Sleuth. She, two other Royal Knights (Magnamon OC and Ulforceveedramon OC), a Imperialdramon variant oc and another Dukemon variant OC are the only survivors. I like to daydream where during the battle against Parallelmon ((yeah I remember that flashback (?)) they had escaped through one of the rifts he had created and had (some what) quietly (it's Varul, she's gonna make some kind of commotion regardless) been in the Nullverse since. Some of the things that those five have seen has destroyed their mentality, Varul got hit with it harder since during that time, her Grani was infected with the parasite and tried to take chunks out of her. I don't think it needs to be said about happened... Yeah, she went insane after that and hasn't really recovered. The others (in order from left to right: Licht, Rai, Faerin and Mimosa) are doing much better in the sanity department 😅.

Yeah, the AU they're from is kinda like a Zombie au. The parasite slowly takes over a digimon's (or normal digi-lifeform's) body while gradually replacing their digicore with it's own, "artificial" one. It's an excruciating process and drives the infected mad with pain before ultimately the parasite takes over. It's not fun having to kill a parasitic husk when it looks almost exactly like your friends. The tentacles are a dead give away. Most of the Royal Knights in my own fanfic story (which will likely stay in my head for eternity) actually died trying to protect others when at the end of the day, failed to protect themselves.

Faerin is a Imperialdramon Ordinance Mode (She got her power from Omegamon Alter-S)

Mimosa is a BelligerentDukemon (She is more hand to hand combat oriented, has a tail and a wrist mounted mini-cannon for long range. She is a fan made Mega for the Guilmon 'Orange' line)

You know, I have an ChaosDukemon OC named Varul. In the situation at hand, she'd do her best to put her grievances with the Royal Knights aside and try her damnedest to help them. Outside of that, she's a hateful, spiteful, chaotic little shit(apologies for my swearing) that happily causes problems for them. But she is in fact very kind, protective and playful with her mercenary group. Although her friends are pretty annoyed with all the pranks and jokes. I honestly would like to know what the Royal Knights think of her.

That's cool! I think I recall her. She sounds pretty fun. xD

As for how the Royal Knights would react, I think they'd be appreciative of her help under the circumstances. I can see her chaotic nature rubbing some of the knights (Duftmon, in particular) the wrong way. Though, UlforceVeedramon and Gankoomon might find her pretty fun to be around.

Pacific Rim KNY AU??

The Kaiju are raiding Earth and devouring humans to grow stronger, as well as colonizing the planet's resources. Whatever humans aren't devoured and absorbed, they're turned into Kaiju and go mad, losing all memories of their previous self as it is repressed forcibly into their mind by the Kaiju's influence.

Nezuko gets infected with Kaiju cells and turns into a Human-Kaiju hybrid/shifter, but her allegiance is to Tanjiro and her family and humanity only.

Tanjiro's family does survive the attack on their city (because I ain't about that angst) and their father Tanjuro, as well as Nezuko herself, are skilled scientists and engineers that team up with the United Nations to build and upgrade Jaegers, as well as find a way to close the rifts and breaches that form. Their ultimate goal is to destroy the Mothergate the Anteverse had created, and end the Kaiju race and destroy the Anteverse for good.

Tanjiro, alongside his childhood friends Zenitsu and Inosuke, ends up starting training as a PPDC cadet to pilot a Jaeger (he has his eye on Dawnrise Genesis, a Mark-3 Jaeger for some reason), and suddenly the Hashira, nine of the most powerful Jaeger pilots, in addition to their apprentices, are desperate to win him over in more ways than as a copilot.

Tanjiro just assumes they want another apprentice, whereas Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke as well as his siblings and parents, are NOT buying any of that bull.

All the hashira desperate to spar with Tanjirou in the combat room because each one wants to prove the others they're compatible with the redhead, also they think it's the best way to persuade Tanjirou's father to assign Tanjirou as their copilot.

But the Kamados are not so easy to win over, also they know it's just another way for the Pillars to get closer to Tanjirou and try to woo him as well.

However, they let Tanjirou spar with them, because the redhead is excited and very eager to help humanity as much as he can... Also they think he's not compatible with any of them therefore they are not to worried about the results.

But... it turns out Tanjirou is compatible with all the hashira and that technically he could choose any of them.

Season 3 AU - why would Baldwin all of a sudden give into Gerbert, of all people? What, or rather who did he, have on him?

"And where are you off to?" Miyako asked, interrupting her uncle's attempt at sneaking out of Sept-Tours.

After their confrontation with Benjamin, they had been working hard to figure out where Baldwin was. Gerbert kept up the lie that Baldwin was in

Then Diana gave birth. Twins, which meant the knights had to split time between protecting them and looking for Benjamin. The older vampires of the Knights preferred to look for Baldwin, a man they had fought with as opposed to protecting a witch they did not know, which Marcus accepted.

Benjamin taunted them with an encrypted message that took Nate weeks to crack but showed Baldwin being tortured, strapped to a bed.

Matthew turned slightly, "You have always been good at sneaking around."

"Benjamin has set a trap." Miyako pointed out, "And you are just going to walk right into it?"

"He has your father. You were correct; this is my fault. I should have killed Benjamin a long time ago." Matthew said, "And I did not want to put this family in danger. This is something I must do."

"Then I'm coming with you," Miyako said stubbornly.

"He is keeping Baldwin in the same place he kept Philippe during the war." Matthew told her sharply, "You do not want to go there."

They did never speak of Philippe's torture in the war. Not even after his death. But if that place could drive Philippe de Clermont mad, imagine what it could do to Lucius.

"I'll come with you." Miyako insisted, "I'm not your witch, you cannot tell me what to do and he is my father."

"Aye, as will we." Gallowglass chimed in, Diana, Miriam and Marcus with him, "What? You'd think we'd really let

"And you will need a doctor." Marcus pointed out, "I would like to meet my brother."

"And Sarah, Marthe and Ysabeau will protect the twins." Diana added, a sharp look at her husband, " Baldwin helped save my life, I owe this to him at least."

Miriam kicked down the rusted door of the old castle, opening to a corridor full of infant vampires, all infected with blood rage, waiting.

"Way to be discreet," Matthew murmured before they all engaged in combat with the children. Matthew, Diana and Miyako made their way to the lab, looking for Baldwin and Benjamin.

"Ah, the whole family!"

Benjamin was next to Baldwin, who was gaunt and bloody, strapped to the board. Miyako growled and she and Benjamin clashed instantly. He managed to get out of Miyako's grip, throwing her into a tray of instruments before his eyes were on Diana.

But she was not scared of him. Not this time.

Baldwin was let loose by Matthew, who helped the weary vampire down, throwing his arm over her shoulder. But the older vampire was more creature than man and as soon as he smelt Benjamin, he was off.

"Diana, watch out!" Miyako warned, knowing a starved feral vampire would be dangerous for the witch. Diana turned, ready to neutralize him.

But Baldwin went straight for Benjamin who struggled to fight off the older and stronger vampire. His teeth tore cleanly through his neck, taking out a chunk before he threw him to side, still growling.

Diana drew her fired her arrow, obliterating the vampire from existence. Benjamin was dead and gone.

Marcus had done all he could for Baldwin, now it was up to his body to heal. He had not worked on a vampire with such extensive injuries.

He was resting in his bed now. Miyako, Matthew and Marthe kept watching mostly, especially Marthe who was often bringing refreshments.

Miyako was reading when she heard a mumble out of her father's mouth. He was still asleep, eyes closed, as he had been since Marcu began treating him weeks ago. She leaned down slightly in an attempt to decipher the words. German, but it didn't make much sense to Miyako.

He was humming quietly to himself in German, she realised. Matthew looked aghast.

"I don't know that is..." Miyako said.

"it's an old lullaby. Father would sing it all the time when he returned." Matthew explained, "Baldwin isn't here right now." Gently, he put his hand on her shoulder, "Leave him for now. Come back when he is asleep. It is easier."

His sisters returned home. Freyja and Stasia, who had temporarily taken the Congregation seat held by the de Clermonts as she had done previously.

"I didn't think you'd come, auntie," Gallowglass remarked and Stasia glared at her nephew with an intensity that made the Scottish warrior rethink his decision to tease his aunt.

"He is my brother." Stasia said and looked at her nephew, "How much blood does he need?"

"Upset it wasn't me?" Matthew snarked.

"I have planned your funeral every century, Matthias. I pray every day I actually get to use the plan." Stasia snarked in return and the two sneered, nearly playfully, at each other.

Diana was still very much of the opinion that her new in-laws were a strange and complicated family.

Miyako had finally fallen asleep after keeping vigil at her father's bedside for a few days. She felt a hand gingerly stroke the top of her head from where she had fallen forward to rest at the side of the bed.

"Papa?" She looked up at him. He was waking up, his eyes adjusting to the setting he was in. His senses registered that he was in Sept Tours.

"Mimi," Baldwin murmured, looking around confused.

"It's okay, you're home." Miyako practically scrambled towards him to hug him which he accepted, slightly startled and winced when she accidentally hit a rib.

"Please do tell me this house is still standing," Baldwin murmured and she pulled away, nodding.

"Benjamin..." He was beginning to recall. He was in Venice. Gerbert had been working with Benjamin. He was drugged, and then he awoke in a laboratory.

"Yes...we, well you and Diana got him." Miyako explained and he looked confused, "It's okay. It will come back to you. Marcus has been taking care of you."

"Oh dear god, what other horror stories are you to lavish on me?" Baldwin grumbled and she laughed. For the first time in a while, she laughed and he smiled.

"I would do anything for you, my bonum filiae," Baldwin sighed, "And this family. You should know that by now."

"Just don't die for it." Miyako pleaded, kissing his knuckles, "Otherwise Gallowglass would permanently be in charge. Or even worse, Uncle Matthew. We would fall apart in half a century!"

"The mere thought keeps me going." He joked back.

Speaking of the devil, Matthew had heard the voices coming from

"Unfortunately, I am still alive," Baldwin announced upon seeing his little brother.

"Almost had you." Matthew jested in return, "You don't die easily, Lucius."

"Thank you, brother." Baldwin said seriously, "I suppose I need to thank... Diana too. Is she still pregnant or did the progeny fail?"

"We had twins. A girl and a boy." Matthew said, almost happy that his brother was already insulting him, "Rebecca and Philip. They are wonderful."

Baldwin nodded, "I will have to meet them. They are my niece and nephew and I am head of this family."

"Yes, you are." Miyako smiled.

"Yes." Matthew confirmed with a small smile, "And we have found a solution to blood rage. Spell binding. Diana will bind any vampire in my bloodline who shows signs of uncontrollable blood rage,"

Baldwin mulled the thought over in his head, "I can live with that. But it must be one strike only. If you want to protect Ysabeau further. No more second chances." He finally noticed the IV in his hand and ripped it out of his hand, rolling his eyes, "Now, I believe I have a Congregation to address."

"What the...?" This boy's body should have been empty. Ruyi Jingu Bang couldn't have chosen him if there was something unnatural living inside this mortal. But that growing sickly green skin, deteriorating patches of skin, rotting monstrous teeth and the darkness in the human's eyes is true.

'MK's' hair frighteningly became infected in curly red locks as crimson flames lick over those obnoxious Monkey King clothing. The realest thing is the death grip around her vessel's throat, sharp claw at the left eye... Her host's (HER) fear pouring out through tears and panic. A manic gleeful expression paired alongside a long tongue dripping with cyan drool makes it worse.

"Unknown attempting to steal Little Clown... Error. Error! Reality Compromised... The Clown Has Been Engaged. AND TRICKY'S ANGRY!!"

This is an idea that suddenly crawled into my head one day. Yes, MK is a host to Madness Combat's Tricky the Clown. Simplified for any not knowledgeable on Madness Combat, Tricky is Zombie Clown capable of messing with reality to an extent, wield a type of hellfire and can even raise the dead. If you want a better in depth look at his abilities then click here.

I wondered what would happen if a spirit tried to possess the host of a powerful and dangerous entity such as Tricky. Hence this very picture right here. For anyone wondering, MK and the Zombie Clown do have a pretty good healthy platonic relationship. Something I'll go more in depth on my other Tumblr. AU is here.

Evil!Glimmer AU

The She-Ra brainrot continues, anyway let's do some character assassination! I'm kidding, actually I love Glimmer she's one of my favorites and an amazing character all around. But I've been wondering, what would happen if she was evil, or part of the Horde from the get go? Now I know there's probably plenty of Evil!Glimmer fics out there, but I wanted to throw my ideas out there too (For free! Aren't I a generous bitch).

Anyway, let's begin. For me at least, there are two ways I could see it happening: the Lost Princess, and the Moon Landing (these aren't like popular names or anything I'm just using them as shorthand).

Option A. The Lost Princess

Ok so this one is actually pretty simple (and clean); the mage formerly known as Lightspinner, enraged by Micah's failure to aid her in the Spell of Obtainment, begins to seek an opportunity for vengeance. That opportunity comes with the birth of Micah's daughter, which leads to Shadow Weaver sneaking into the castle and kidnapping a babby Glimmer, Mother Gothel style (which come to think about it, you could do a lot of Rapunzel references with this AU. Maybe. Probably). A distraught Angela searches the entirety of the whispering woods for her daughter, to no avail. Instead however, she finds a tiny magicat kitten stashed away beneath a tree, clutching an apple shaped tag with a written plea to take care of the child, and a name: Catra.

So yeah, essentially a "what would happen if Glimmer and Catra grew up in each other's canonical circumstances?" AU, with Catra as princess of Brightmoon and Glimmer as Force Captain/High Magus? (and later, right hand of Hordak). I'd imagine events would play out roughly the same as in canon, with a lot of the same scenes but wildly different context. Also, Catradora from the get go, you love to see it.

Option B. Moon Landing

So this one is wildly different from canon; instead of crash landing in Scorpia's kingdom, he instead lands in Brightmoon, and like in canon, quickly subjugates both it and its citizens (which leads to a far more "futuristic" Horde). Scorpia's kingdom becomes the center of the rebellion, which takes on a far more Mad Max-esque vibe. I genuinely have no idea how this would play out, only that it wouldn't even be remotely close to canon (I don't know if Angela is even alive in this AU). One issue that I can see is Catra; she and Glimmer are Narrative Foils, and it's pretty difficult to be narrative foils if you're on the same side (which I was originally going to have be the case). One possibility is to bring in Halfmoon, with Princess Catra and Princess Scorpia being co-leaders of the rebellion. Also, Catradora AND Scorfuma from the get go, you really do love to see it.

So, a few major differences between the AUs and Canon:

So obviously, no Glimbow. As much as I love them, it wouldn't really make sense, at least to me. Catradora worked because of their shared history together (and their promise), and Glimmer and Bow wouldn't have that history. I guess you could give a more flirtatious angle to their in-combat interactions, but it would be kinda awkward, and also pretty one-sided. On the plus side, Seabowmista? Maybe? I'm not saying that Bow has to end up with someone(s), but it's a possibility.

Shadow Weaver dies. SEND IN THE CRABS.

Ok let me explain. At the end of season one, Catra curb stomps Shadow Weaver, but leaves her alive because, well, gestures vaguely. I don't think Glimmer would have those same hang ups, I think she would just murk the old hag. Maybe by teleporting her into a solid object, maybe by giving her the Palpatine special, who knows. Either way, that witch is dead. At least that's my thoughts, idk maybe she survives somehow and infects Horde Primes hive mind who knows.

Speaking of the worlds greatest catgirl, Catra is strong. Ridiculously so. She's one of the best fighters in the entire series, and when she's actually put in charge of military operations she basically steamrolls the rebellion. I don't want to neuter her so if she's going to be on the good guy's side we're going to have to find an excuse for why she hasn't already won. A lack of resources could be a part of it, or maybe the Horde has some sort of secret weapon (which would probably be Glimmer, girl's probably a living wmd in this AU). Alternatively she is just curb stomping the Horde, and they put out a bunch of hits on her in response. She can't go two feet outside without being sniped, so she spends most of her time in a secure location, unable to really do much. At least until Adora comes along to be her bodyguard eyebrow wiggle.

Anyway that's about it, thoughts, questions, concerns? Oh yeah, someone should probably check up on Micah, poor dude would really be going through it.
