Killian stared at the circular, metal object in his hand before glancing up at Jefferson. Wondering what it was and why his old cru–friend had dropped it into his hand. 

He hadn't received any gifts in years from anyone, after all, and they hadn't seen each other in nearly a decade. 

Not since their falling out over Priscilla's tragic death back when Grace was a wee baby. 

The whole situation didn't make any sense. 

"What's this?"

Jefferson didn't meet his eye. "A pride pin. Saw it in the store and thought of you…so, uh, happy pride, Kill." 

Killian's gaze drifted back to his palm to examine the 'pride' pin.

It had three differently colored, horizontal stripes: the first stripe was Pink, the second was yellow, and the 3rd was blue. 

And the stripes were partially covered by the silhouette of a pirate ship. 

Killian swallowed, his throat suddenly dry. 

A tight feeling I'm his chest.

He continued to examine the pin for a few minutes before finally speaking "I don't know what this pride you speak of is, but thanks mate." 

Jefferson gave him a small smile—a genuine one—before his order was called and he departed. 

Killian's eyes didn't leave the pin until Emma arrived for their date.

But his mind didn't leave it that night as he wondered if this was Jeff's way of extending an olive branch. 

A part of him hoped it was.

He may have moved on from his crush on Jeff but that didn't mean that he didn't miss having him as a friend, after all.

I'm not sure about this one. I guess the one where a Character does something so laughably out of character that it ruins the experience for you.

Except in fanfiction I guess.

Though I do try and keep the characters close to the originals in my defense.

But I'd never do that with my original characters.

I try my best to make sure that the characters seem real. More than two dimensional characters who do dumb things just to move the plot forward.

I'd like to think I've succeeded in that regard.

🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?

Depends on the universe but I'd say that Chad Charming is one of them because he's fun to bulid on and has more depth than one would think.

🔗 - What has been your favorite dynamic to write for? (romantic or platonic)

I'll talk about descendants for thus part.

For platonic dynamics in the Badun Detective Agency as a whole.

Yes, I technically created them but they're still fun to write.

Giving characters who seemingly have nothing in common relationships and buliding on what little we were given has been amazing and I wish to write more for them in the future.

For romantic dynamics in descendants, Lefou Deux and Claudine Frollo because even though you don't expect it, they fit together well.

For ouat romantic dynamic, MadHook and Captain Swan because i think they're neat.

For ouat platonic dynamic, Killian and his brothers, Liam the older and Liam the younger because the angst is amazing.

For Merlin romantic dynamic, Gwaine and Percival because I like the ship for some reason I can't fathom.

For Merlin platonic dynamic, Gwaine and anyone because we did not get enough of hin interacting with people.

I also like doing little ouat/merlin crossovers with Killian and Gwaine as brothers because they are so similar.

And descendants/ouat crossovers where Killian is a father to the Hook siblings is also another dynamic I like to write.

As for my original characters, my favorite romantic dynamic to write would be Hannah Hook and Haul Bjorgman because they're adorable dorks who deserve to be happy.

As for platonic dynamic, I'd say Skia, Hannah, and Luke because they are the wharf musketeers and deserve to have fun. Because I say so. They're chaotic little gremlins and we love them for that.

🏳️ - Favorite way you have described something in your works

That's a tricky question but it'd have to be when I wrote this one shot for Merlin where Arthur was jealous of his love and her brother because he had just lost his unknown sister.

Describing his jealousy and confusion and the pain he felt was fun.

A close runner up would be the way I described Harry Badun's mental break down in one of my works in the Badun Detective Agency universe.

Who does what in ships; Madhook part 6;

36; Killian is more likely to initiate a prank war than Jefferson is and Jeff would be the one to ignore it, hoping Killian would stop.

37. Niether are terrified of bugs, they just dislike them.

38. Killian is the misletoer and Jefferson is the misletoie.

39. You'd think it'd be Killian but it's actually Jefferson because Killian is constantly busy with hiis crew and saving the town or helping at the station and Jefferson is always bored. Especially since most of the kids are in school now.

40. It was Jefferson. Killian was too stunned by his beauty too initiate and it was a handshake.

41. Killian is. He has no problem talking about the fun experiences and the embarrassing ones, though he doesn't really talk about the traumatic ones. Something Jefferson understands.

42. Killian. He can't help it really. Ge was deprived of food so often during his childhood that it doesn't really bother him much. Jefferson was annoyed by it at first but once he learned the reasoning, he didn't complain as much about it.

43. Jefferson. It's his 2nd favorite song.

44. Killian. No doubts about it. His voice is the bomb.

45. Depends on the topic. They'll both jump in to defend eachother, but neither is likely to defend themselves a good portion of the time.
