This post is gonna be a bit lengthy , blunt and unbelievable 😭 also very sloppily written cause i’m havijh so much fun. i really have got out of my comfort zone and I’m so happy i did. No you do not have to follow every step I did! This is simply for motives and inspo.

So, yeah it's obvious i was one who struggled with void and loa blah blah blah for a LONG TIME! I was a hardcore druggie, physical and mentally abused all my life, had a very rare illness and so much more. But who gaf ab the old story. ☠️

So after a day of sending that cringe ass message to u i ended up prioritizing myself. It’s clear I was idolizing void and I’ve been doubting in LOA too like ??? So in the 3D i moved in with my one and only friend, got a job at a fastfood place (pls this is sorta embarrassing), and decided homeschool was much better for me. Also between that time I learned how to correctly manifest and shiz by you and @theandreiaeffect<3. And girlllll literally less than the next week I manifested perfect mental and physical health, my dream job, desired appearance, and 7,000,000$ with a 15,000,000$ home me and my bestie now live in. I was already so happy how it was. Yet after that crazy ass week passed by i woke up in the fucking void. I have no clue how but i did.

Now for what I manifested in void.

- ‘i heard a rumor’ power - a power of this girl from a netflix show. basically you say ‘i heard a rumor ____’ and it happens. its like a brainwash power? its simple to explain but idk. (If u watch that show my fav character is klaus whats urs?)

- Time travel(?) - so when i got in void it was prolly like september 11th 2022. i just said in the void ‘it is August 30th’ and when i woke up it was august 30th as you can tell so now I’m just relapsing my days but in a goodway.

- changed family - my bestie is like family and i changed her appearance to her desired appearance, more cousins, siblings, aunts etc. my dad being a famous nfl star.

- Revenge - basically just fucking with my abusers life the same way they fucked with mine. I have no regrets so🤷‍♀️

- Name and age revision - I always hated my full name so i changed it. I was 17 and just revised that i’m 21. yeah it was a big gap but idc it was worth it for me honestly. i also manifested i’m not gonna die till like 90 and age like wine so.

- a bf- oh let me tell u. i’ve always had a crush on ralph macchio. and now i have a boyfriend who is his twin but even more attractive. his personality and the way he showers me with love is mwah.

- Removing phobias - i’ve always been scared of animals🤦‍♀️ not anymore tho now i have 2 cute lil puppies and a parrot:)

- Vegan restaurants and shops opening up close to me - I’ve been vegan since the beginning of the year due to animal cruelty and just not enjoying meat.

- Immune from getting preggo til 25 - its self explanatory what i be doing but i’m not ready for a baby yet so🤫

- Being protected and safe 24/7 - anyone around me also is aswell its like a invisible barrier to danger

Now those are just a handful of what I manifested. I literally manifested sooooo many other priv things. Just get ur shit together. I have nothing else to tell u. Honestly idk how LOA coaches don’t get fed up with y’all constantly crying ab how u dont got ur shit when u are the reason why. U have a cheatcode to life. Not many people are spiritually awoken. Do you know how fortunate you are to have discover LOA???? Keep this in mind and maybe ya know manifest ur dream life. To Rem, I thought I’d be on tumblr way longer as your anon, but I’d rather go live my life to the fullest for a while. I hope my story leaves an imprint on the LOA community. so i had this thing in the back of my mind that i wanted to share a little bit about, because i think it’s highlights a little bit of karlie’s easter egging prowess

so as many of you know, i have had a certain piece of jewelry identification that’s been top of mind for awhile. a mysterious (and hilarious) evil eye necklace that karlie first wore on her birthday last year, august 3rd, 2022:

it took a long while to identify but with the help of @kwyw and @corneliastvendor and input from many more, we diligently settled upon a match with the brand Mejuri.

…i dunno if you remember, but back at the beginning of the year @kwyw also pointed out that there was an extra connection, between this evil eye necklace and the amulette de cartier:

both talismans of Courage.

the amulette de cartier has its own place in kaylor lore (if it’s new to you you can read about that here and here and here). but, veterans of quarantine kaylor remember how this rep era necklace made a unique surprise appearance during lover/folklore era, ultimately coinciding with karlie’s 2020 pregnancy. which, given the symbolism of the necklace, i think made a lot of thematic sense… being pregnant during the height of a pandemic is scary and, speaking from experience, i as well found myself in search of things to give me that extra peace of mind.

so seeing the necklace have that Courage keyword connection, i couldn’t help but uhhh, have a feeling so peculiar. now, with the gift of more (celebratory) information, let’s take a look at all the times karlie has worn this necklace (*reminder that some of these may be a day off because of the big time zone difference between me and the US):

August 3rd, 2022 — (as pictured above) karlie’s birthday, she writes “cheers to new beginnings xx”

September 2nd, 2022 — this therabody promo, which many of us got a kick out of after midnights was announced, first because she mentions 3am (the name of the extra version of the album) and the word midnight and second because this tiktok is set to the tune of ABBA’s “Gimme! November 19th, 2022 — a post captioned friyay, notably, wearing a loewe shirt, the designer who she wore to the met gala

December 11th, 2022 — to a celebratory kode with klossy event for her young scholars

December 13th, 2022 — she wore it as part of several instagram stories she had up on taylor’s bday (thank you @kwyw for the reminder 😆)

December 18th, 2022 — she posted this the same day she posted the photos of her josh and levi at the ice skating rink (mikey and misha were there too) before heading to japan.

and then, at the met gala on May 1st, wearing loewe, she announces her pregnancy, and tells everybody that she is nearly 8 months along!

now, if we are to assume that she is 8 months along this may, we can count back ( 7mo along in april, 6mo march, 5mo feb, 4mo jan, 3mo dec, 2mo nov, 1mo along in oct, 0mo sept) and see how in order to have conceived in september, prep for that would likely have started in… yes, the month before. august! aka… when she first debuted the evil eye necklace!

and when you look back at all the phrases and contexts accompanying her posts with the piece, you can kind of see how the necklace works in concert with her setting her intentions, potentially celebrating milestones like finding out, telling people, hitting the 5 mo mark which is when the majority of pregnancies become more stable, etc… this is all to say, and this is just a simple thing but, i feel confident in saying that this necklace was in fact one way of her hinting at her next child, since all the way back in august 2022 ☺️ and since it’s an eye necklace? well, 😌 all the more nice of a feeling.

Dear English doctors - Biological males can’t get pregnant and there is no such thing as a “girl penis”. Please spend less time on worrying about language that appeases narcissistic men and more time improving care for women and babies.

England’s National Health Service (NHS) has put forward a £100,000 contract to create a “gender-inclusive” maternity care training program based on research guided by a trans-identified male who has claimed that men can give birth and that “pre-operative trans women” have “girl penises.”

On December 16, the NHS quietly released an Invitation to Quote for the “Maternity Gender Inclusion Program,” with a listed closing date for pilot submissions set for January 11th, 2023.

The contracted program is set to be rolled out to midwives in maternity departments across 40 NHS Trusts in England, and would be based on the findings of the Improving Trans Experiences of Maternity Services (ITEMS) research project, which was co-authored by a trans-identified male and is alleged to have “significant” flaws in its methodology.

With Woman, a maternity care advocacy coalition, penned an open letter highlighting the “flawed” research within the ITEMS publications, and has called for a complete pause on the contract offering entirely.

Speaking with Reduxx, a spokeswoman from With Woman raised multiple concerns, especially with the entirety of the program’s focus appearing to be on “inclusive” language and not improvements in medical care for a traditionally complex cohort. 

With Woman noted that even the Invitation to Quote appears fixed, with the very short contracting and funding window raising suspicion. With Woman indicated their belief that there may be organizations already lined up to take the contract as the time frames are too brief for uninvolved organizations to adequately prepare a pilot.

The ITEMS report, which is being used as a justification for the need for the program, based its findings on the responses of just 121 people. The report determined that “birthing people” were improperly cared for because they were “misgendered,” and made unsubstantiated claims that 30% of “trans parents” secretly gave birth at home with no medical intervention.

The report was co-authored by Dr. Ruth Pearce, a trans-identified male Lecturer in Community Development at Glasgow University.

Pearce played a significant role in the direction of the ITEMS research. Pearce’s work focuses on “trans pregnancy” and “Queer, Trans and Feminist music scenes.” 

In an essay posted on to his website, Pearce asserts that he is more attractive and confident than biological women.

“Quite frankly, I bet a whole load of women would love to be as confident and good looking as I am. I’ve got a pretty face, great hair, fantastic legs, and I’ve recently grown some rather shapely breasts.” He is also known for having once fronted a “queer feminist rage” music group through which he sang a song about his scrotum.

In an August 2022 video titled “Reproductive Justice for Trans People With Ruth Pearce and Francis White,” Pearce explains the focus of his work on ITEMS, policy and language surrounding “trans birth” and the need to highlight transgender people having children to counter the claims that a “trans child” may not reproduce, and to create media that contradicts Abigail Shrier’s claims that child transition can lead to “irreversible damage” of fertility. 

Pearce called attention in particular to a phenomenon known as Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria, which was coined by Lisa Littman and referenced by Jungian analyst and author Lisa Marchiano in a 2017 academic article titled “Outbreak: On Transgender Teens and Psychic Epidemics.” 

In the article, Marchiano examines the role of social media in the sudden rise in teens claiming a gender identity, stating: “a young person’s coming out as transgender is often preceded by increased social media use and/or having one or more peers also come out as transgender.”

Pearce mocked the concept of children learning of transgender identities on social media, but later contradicted himself by discussing the issue in the presentation segment titled “We Are the Virus: Reproduction via Social Contagion.” 

In the segment, Pearce asserted the need to help transgender-identifying people to not only sexually reproduce, but also to “socially reproduce” by means of altering medical language and policy to introduce the idea of transition to children and adults as a form of “reproductive justice,” thereby creating more transgender people.

In the video, Pearce acknowledged that social contagion is the method by which transgenderism proliferates, stating: “Alexis Davin noted that the very process that Lisa Marchiano and Abigail Shrier described as a social contagion is the means by which trans people engage in a form of social reproduction. We become visible to one another and introduce one another to a language that makes sense of our lives and our needs.”

Later in the seminar he continued, “I’ve been thinking a lot about social contagion because it’s the language of the anti-trans movement. But… the exact thing they’re describing is the exact means by which we reproduce ourselves.”

During the seminar, Pearce described the work he did with Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals (BSUH) NHS Trust, arguing for the need for “Gender Inclusive Language” to create “Language as Possibility” and posters that act as apparent recruitment advertising for the political transgender movement. Pearce elaborated by saying, “in Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals, that’s a really interesting example of queer spaces of care being created through an institution rather than through more radical networks.”

Pearce’s involvement with the ITEMS research, as well as its use to justify an NHS maternity program, comes less than one year after NHS negligence was found to have been responsible for the needless deaths of over 200 babies and 9 mothers at at Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust. According to internal investigations, “repeated failures in the quality of care and governance” was to blame for the deaths, which spanned over 2 decades, with an additional 1,486 families and 1,592 incidents being recorded as a result of inadequate maternity care oversight.

Reduxx has previously revealed how errors and confusion arose due to the use of inaccurate medical language which led to midwifery students at Napier University in Edinburgh being taught how to care for males giving birth through penises and prostates. 

According to a course workbook, students were advised: “It is important to note that while most times the birthing person will have female genitalia, you may be caring for a pregnant or birthing person who is transitioning from male to female and may still have external male genitalia.”

Mokumoku Ren interview

The manga The Summer Hikaru Died began serialisation in Young Ace UP in August 2021 and quickly gained popularity, winning 11th place in the Web manga category and the Global Special Award [Traditional Chinese] at the Next Comic Award 2022 in August 2022.

The story takes place in a village. One day, Yoshiki notices that his best friend Hikaru has been replaced by something (Nanika). A strange daily life begins - and a strange life begins to unfold.

The Summer Hikaru Died, which depicts spine-tingling horror and the pure, sad craving to 'still be together' with an outstanding visual sense, was also supported by manga experts in the CREA 2022 autumn issue's 'Night Owl Manga Award'. The author of this work, Mokumoku Ren, is a gem of a talent who debuted in commercial serialisation with this work.

We spoke to the much-celebrated Mokumoku Ren in depth about the roots, from the continued fascination with the bizarre since childhood, to influential works, and the secret stories behind the creation of some of the most memorable scenes.

I have been drawing original characters since I was a child.

We were told that Mokumokuren-sensei conceived of The Summer Hikaru Died while still in high school.

I've really liked thinking up stories since I was little, and it was something I'd been doing for a long time. I didn't really give it form, but I would build it up in my head.

In what is called a 'stand-in' type story, where an ‘outsider’ takes the place of someone who already exists, the ‘outsider’ usually ends up becoming the enemy. But what happens to the feelings of this ‘outsider’? That's what I thought at first.

I still hold this in high regard, and while I write about the feelings of the people surrounding the person who has been replaced, I place more emphasis on the feelings of the person who has been replaced.

As you mentioned, one of the main features of this work is the establishment of the personality of 'Hikaru', the Nanika, but when you think about the content of each episode, do you start from the emotions, or do you come up with scenes and facial expressions as you draw?

I think from the development of 'This is what would happen if we moved them.' I've already made a start in the first episode, so I focus on how the characters will move, like 'this is the kind of problem that will happen' or 'this is the kind of reaction the characters will have when this kind of problem occurs'.

You mentioned that you have been creating since your childhood, how do you feel about the way you 'draw'? I read The Summer Hikaru Died and thought your drawing skills were tremendous.

Thank you very much. I have been drawing ever since I can remember. I only started drawing manga recently, but I've loved drawing illustrations since I was in kindergarten, and I used to make my own original characters. It is something that has been going on for a long time.

“I've been making stories and drawing pictures.” The fruit of that was "The summer Hikaru died", wasn't it?

Yes, it was. However, I wasn't thinking about becoming a manga artist, and I was doing it as a hobby, so I was approached (by publishers), and I'm grateful that it sold so well. I'm happy, but I'm still surprised, so is it okay to call myself a "manga artist"? That's how I feel.

No, no, I was thinking about what you said earlier about your kindergarten days, but I think that 'drawing' usually starts with imitating existing characters. Being able to suddenly create an original character is a glimpse of what it takes to become a manga artist.

There were quite a few people like that around me, so I thought it was normal. I think that the root of both writing and drawing is that “I like to fantasize”. I feel like those things have led me to where I am today.

Also, in terms of drawing, there was a time when I was doing sketches like hell every day. That has helped me a lot.

I would like to ask you about the creators and works that have influenced you, I heard that you were into 'Tokyo Ghoul' when you were a student.

Yes, I was really into it when I was a student. I always really liked reading the Jump series and shounen and seinen, and when I was in primary school I got hooked on Tokyo Ghoul. People often say that my drawings resemble a lot of other things, but I personally think that my base is "Tokyo Ghoul". I used to draw characters from 'Tokyo Ghoul' myself.

Tokyo Ghoul is quite precocious for a primary school student.

That's right. I read it behind my parents' backs (laughs). I've always liked non-humans, and Tokyo Ghoul has a great way of depicting them.

Also, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I think it's particularly noticeable in works such as Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, which has a bizarre aspect to it. I really like the way they create scary, horrifying and bizarre atmosphere.

In Tokyo Ghoul, the characters' facial expressions are also very distinctive. I feel the skill of projecting emotions such as fear and trembling onto facial expressions when I read The Summer Hikaru Died. Is this another point of influence?

It might be.. At that time, I was looking forward to reading the Young Jump magazine every week, and I thought there were a lot of expressions that caught me off guard. I thought there were a lot of expressions that made me gasp. As I was reading, I thought it was really interesting to see how the story would change completely the moment I turned the page.

I'm influenced by the cool composition of horror movies.

In terms of the bizarre, you have said that you are attracted to unexplainable horror.

Of course, I really like ethnic horror, horror that can be explained and horror that can be unravelled, but it's the unexplained horror that I find frightening at first glance. In The Summer Hikaru Died, I tried to include both.

We heard that you like 'Honkaku' (Really Scary Stories)/ Honto ni Atta Kowai Hanashi, 'Here it Comes' (i could not find this piece, the name is 『来る』) and 'Shin Mimibukuro'. Do you particularly like Japanese horror?

No, I watch both foreign and Japanese horror films. I also liked Midsommar and My Eri: A 200-Year-Old Girl, and I loved the atmosphere, the plot and the inexpressible sense of dread in I Am Ghost. In Japan, I have seen most of the films directed by Koji Shiraishi, including the ones you have just mentioned, as well as The Ring. I also read the original story "Bogi Wan ga, kuru" ("The Bogi Wan is Coming").

The direction of The Summer Hikaru Died was influenced by horror films in many ways.

I'm curious about what you pay attention to when you watch horror movies.

For example, I love Ari Aster's films, both Hereditary and Midsommar, but the composition of Midsommar, where you open the door to enter the bathroom in the room, which leads to the aeroplane bathroom, and you see it from above, was very ingenious and memorable.

I also saw Parasite and Remembrance of Murder, both directed by Bong Joon-Ho, and the compositions are insanely good. The way he dares to pull out the crying face instead of showing it at the most important part, and the way he directs it, it's like, "Cool!"

In The Summer Hikaru Died, the fear that lies in the cracks of everyday life is depicted in a subtle way, isn't it?

If I were to be influenced by other works, I would say that most of them are video-related, but I have also seen quite a few ghost stories originating from the 2ch occult board, so i though “Why don't I collect scary stories that aren’t horrifying enough to kill you?". Basically, they are more interesting than scary, and I don't find them scary at all, but there have been a few that were so scary that I couldn't sleep at night because they were so scary (laughs). In some parts of the drawn panels, I remember the fear I felt at those times.

After all, it is a detailed depiction of emotions.

When it comes to the emotional portrayal of the characters, I find it very useful to look at the people around me in my daily life. I don't have any models, but there are things that I think are similar to my friends, and when I'm interacting with my friends, I think the accumulation of thoughts like "this is what this person would say" is at work.

Basically, I want to make the characters' actions and statements in a way that people living a normal life can easily relate to. If a friend or someone very important to me were to be replaced by someone else, I would probably leave it as it is. In that way, I often do things like "If I were you, I would do this" with the characters in the manga.

Like in reality?

Yes, I think so. Of course, there are certain behaviours that I want them to do in order to advance the story, so there are times when they do things like 'this isn't how reality works', but for this piece, I've kept it to a minimum.

I like ghosts and horror stories.

I would like to ask you a lot about the onomatopoeia of The Summer Hikaru Died, the oppressive sound of the cicada 'shuffling' and frog 'gekogeko' are very intense. These are also present in the drafts?

Right. This was something I had planned to do from the very beginning. I think that horror films are effective in creating the fear of sound, but comics don't have sound, so I wanted to express that somehow well. I deliberately used fonts to make it so that the reader's eyes would be drawn to it even if they didn't want to see it.

However, rather than trial and error, I put it in naturally, and when people around me said, "That was interesting," it was the first time I felt like, "That's right."

The scene where you can see “Ku” in the distance was absurdly scary.

I was influenced by the internet yokai "Kune-Kune", the idea was simply that 'the moment when you realise that something you thought looked like this from a distance is 'different' when you get closer, that's scary'. I thought, "What kind of hiragana is the scariest? 'A' (あ) isn't scary" (laughs).

I feel that this might come from the fact that you have been attracted to scary things for many years, but has there always been a sense that scary = interesting?

I'm a little unsure about this, before I knew it, I already liked youkai and horror.I used to read all kinds of ghost stories in picture books and children's literature, and when I was little I was addicted to The Nightmare Before Christmas, and there was a time when that was all I would watch. Stories about ghosts, ghosts and Halloween - I read so much of that stuff that it was sickening, and I don't think I was just feeling 'scared'. It was like reading a book with the excitement of "Here it comes ......", which is probably similar to the feeling of riding a rollercoaster.

The name “Mokumoku Ren” is also from the youkai Mokumokuren.

Yes, it is. When I was discussing with a friend what to name my pen name, he said, "Why don't you use a yokai's name? I thought, "That's a good idea!

I love 'Gegege no Kitaro', so it made me smile (laughs). What type of yokai do you like?

I like the shin-kosuri - I really liked the 2005 version of 'The Great Yokai War'.

Shin-kosuri are cute, aren't they?

Yes, they are. I also like Kitaro (the anime), and I like yokai in general.

My inspiration is my grandmother's house where mysterious traditions remain

When I read The Summer Hikaru Died, I felt that the description of nature was excellent. I was almost in awe of the way life stirred in each and every tree, and I felt a connection to the worldview of Shigeru Mizuki (the author of Kitaro), who I have been familiar with since my childhood.

Indeed, I really like Mizuki's expression of grass. He draws each strand of grass as if it were trailing in the wind.

I was inspired by my grandmother's house when I drew nature and the countryside. I myself was born and raised in Tokyo, so I am not familiar with the countryside, but both my father's and mother's parents lived in the countryside, and I have seen the scenery whenever I visit them. My grandmother's house is a small shop in a rural village, just like the 'Yamakyu' in The Summer Hikaru Died!

There are only a few dozen households in the village, there are no convenience stores and only an old lady's shop. The rest is a guest house, the sea, mountains and a river, and there are some mysterious customs.

Traditions! It's an essential element in horror.

I laughed and said to myself, "Traditions really do exist" (laughs). There are also strange festivals and yokai legends, and in fact the same stories exist in Mie. The reason why this is so is because the divers from Mie moved to the region where my grandmother used to live many decades ago. It was spread over here by oral tradition.

That’s the area of folklore studies, isn’t it? By the way, I myself am from a rural area, and although The Summer Hikaru Died has a unique rural atmosphere, it also has a somewhat modern atmosphere, and I can see it from a slightly different perspective than those who live in that environment. I feel like I'm looking at it. After listening to what you just said, I can see the point.

My mother, who is from the countryside, also said to me, "It's the countryside as portrayed by city people" (laughs). However, I think that the "scary" feeling when I visit several times a year is really alive.

I think you're right, and that's what makes it so sharp. There are modern and stylish scenes before and after, so the rural feeling of the scene where the grandmother appears stands out.

I thought, “Old women in horror movies are scary, aren't they?'' when I drew her (laughs).The feeling I had when I went to the countryside and the stories I heard from people around me also helped me to describe it. For example, I asked my father and mother, "What was it like in the countryside? What did they say to you?" and interviewing them, or asking people around me, "What is the dialect of the young people like?　Don't they have accents like that?" I make them up as I go along.

I have the impression that The Summer the Light Died was sparked by manga lovers and further expanded its popularity on social networking sites such as Twitter and TikTok. In that sense, I felt that the balance between the urban and rural feel of this work made it easy for many people to connect with it.

I myself wondered why the film was accepted by the younger generation. But I felt that the feeling of the countryside is unexpectedly present in everyone's mind as an original landscape. I found that interesting.

I used to be on Twitter a lot, so I thought, "I'm glad that the number of reactions has increased.", but one day my followers exploded and I wondered what was going on, and then I was told, "You're viral on TikTok". I downloaded it and was surprised, like 'wow, there's so many of them'.

The Summer Hikaru Died is a web serialization, and I think that there are parts that have attracted attention through the internet, but I feel that the texture of reading it on paper is also very interesting. That's because of the skill of "turning" that was mentioned in the story of Tokyo Ghoul. What kind of balance do you yourself have in regards to developing on paper and on the web?

Basically, I draw as if I were flipping through a piece of paper. In the early days, I didn't think about "flipping" at all, but after the editor told me about it, I started to consciously incorporate it. "Young Ace UP" is read vertically, so the spread is inevitably divided, so that's difficult, but I'm conscious of the spacing between lines and the viewing order from right to left.

When I read it on paper, I was also strongly impressed by the use of black - shadows and darkness, or the skillful expression of solid colours.

I try not to use too much solid black, and try to change the atmosphere with the amount of solid color. For example, in the scene where ‘Hikaru's face collapses at the end of Volume 1, I purposely made the background less solid than usual to bring out 'Hikaru’s exasperation. On the other hand, when I want to create a solid horror feeling, I put in a lot of solid colors to create a gloomy atmosphere, and change the solid and cross-hatching methods depending on the scene.

I can see the potential for expression in the black-and-white world, with dust-like things waiting in the background in different frames, and the use of shading.

I mentioned earlier that I used to do sketching (to draw), but hatching requires a lot of attention because you have to draw a lot of different textures in only black and white. I feel that these techniques are ingrained in my body.

The expression of 'Hikaru’ mimicking Hikaru also has a great impact. The cellular Paisley pattern of ....... How did you come up with that design?

I wanted it to be creepy but not too creepy, so I went for a cellular look and then the Mandelbrot set, which is a kind of fractal shape. I thought it was interesting that even though it looks like a geometric shape created by mathematical calculations, it is something that exists in nature, like the way leaves grow or the shape of vegetables, so I incorporated it.

So it is a fractal figure. By the way, how do you work with the editor you mentioned earlier?

I have them read the name I've come up with, and I often get feedback such as "What's going on here?" Readability, conveyance and structure are very difficult areas, so it's extremely helpful that they make my thoughts easy to understand and help me find the best form to convey the content.

Thank you very much for all the valuable things you have told us today. I know you must be busy every day with your first commercial series, but do you have any hobbies to relax with during your work?

It has to be "Splatoon 3". It's my favourite series and a new one has recently come out. I don't have much time to play it, but I work to play Splatoon 3 (laughs). When I have a break from work and play 'Splatoon 3', everything dissipates.

✹ … ⥁ A MONTH IN LOOP NEWS: SEPTEMBER

Opening up the month with a much anticipated announcement in a not so ideal setting, New Wave Music saw itself corned to confirm LOOPiN's upcoming album after leaking of the comeback logo, tracklist and promotion schedule took place on September 11th.

'Internet War', the group's 4th full album according to the leaked content, is a half hyperpop inspired, half mellow PC pop devoted project set to introduce a new batch of units to the group - two trios and two duos, as seen on their pre-debut era. Aside from dual title tracks 'Jump' and 'Tell Me What To Do', the album will have 12 b-side tracks.

New Wave Music took to social media on the 12th to confirm the content as belonging to LOOPiN, and attaching an official date to the release: October 10th. Curiously enough, no commentary on legal consequences against the prossecutors of the information early released have been found on the statement, fueling rumors that the leak might have come from staff or even the members themselves in some unespected, unconventional form of marketing or preassure to actually release music - something LOOPiN hadn't done since April.

While the upcoming fictional survival show 'Show Me The One' is taking its time to unravel the official lineup on social media, a varieted amount of entertainment companies have already announced their compeating trainees - divited on the show on teams of multiples of 3s. New Wave Music made no different: on September 16th, the company shared a news outlet confirming trainees Dahyung (25), Chaeun (23) and Furumi (22) of Team RIIDEWAVEE as not only their 'Show Me The One' representatives, but also a third of the lineup of their future girl group, set to debut on the first semester of 2024.

While there's clear rumors of who two out of the three trainees might be - Dahyung is highly especulated to be former MIDNESTRA member Kim Dahyung, while Furumi can't be anyone else but Fukunaga Furumi, Nogizaka46 graduate and the younger sister of LOOPiN's Haruki -, Chaeun is still an unknown name.

We wish the girls good luck on the show and a successful debut!

On September 22th, Choi Sangwon, 41, was found and reported dead in a motel room in rural area Damyang by three witnesses - later confirmed as Idols by a minor south korean tabloid with no real evidence to back it, but a name prestigious enough for it to be taken as truth right away. Any further information on the identity of the alleged celebrities has yet to surface.

Sangwon, who had been a well known manager for multitple K-Pop acts such as 3rd gen leader boy group INPEAK (from 2011 to 2014), one hit wonder girl group Sweet-X (2015), LOOPiN (2016 to 2022) and more recently, rising girl group FairLand (2022). Taking the role of marketing adviser and trainee evaluator in the majority of the companies he worked for, he had a reputation as a creator of opportunities and great judge of star power.

Police confirmed the cause of death as suicide a day later.

Sangwon's passing seemed to put the final nail in the coffin for the future of Greater Sound Entertainment's FairLand.

Coming from a small company and making their debut in August 2021, FairLand finally gained momentun in February 2023 with the release of their third single, 'Rose Blossom', which gained popularity amoung korean netizens and charted for two entire months near the top 10 and 20 of various music platforms. However, the sixteth was placed on complete hiatus shortly after the end of 'Rose Blossom' promotions, with leader Sangah and maknae Ichiko being completly gone for the group's Youtube and Weverse content streamed from August onwards.

Greater Sound's official note on the disbandment, released on September 25th and personally signed off by CEO Lim Gahyun, reads as follows: "Hello, this is Greater Sound Entertainment's Lim Gahyun. It's with a heavy hearth that we come to you with the announcement of the end of FairLand. I want to make this an opportunity to personally thank the support that we have received in recent years from the general public and Landies. To the members, I'm sorry, and I love you. I hope all of you always, always knows that as truth. Please, keep showing support on the bright journeys of SANGAH, NAHYEON, SOOAH, MINJI, JAZZ and ICHIKO, which are far from over. We hope we all get to shine more brightly and safely from now on."

Not a single member has decided to stay under Greater Sound - which is rummored to terminate all operations on the following months.

LOOPiN member Haruki, who had been set to appear at Milan Fashion Week on the 26th as a guest of Vianfino, taking active duty as one of the ficitonal brand's declared muses and first global ambassador, took fans and media by surprise by not appearing in Italy.

Hours after the Vianfino runway started with Haruki's front row seat left empty, New Wave Music released a statment on the commotion, declaring that from now on, "all upcoming activities which will not involve or enrich 'Internet War' promotions directly, that taking in consideration not only Haruki's current public schedule, but of all the members of the group, have been indeterminantly cancelled' - which as far as we know of includes a Hanjae photoshoot for Esquire Korea alongside the cast of his newest drama series, J.J and Haegon's appearence on a late October episode of Return Of Superman, and a special fansign event for Gyujin's birthday on October 17th.

To quote the company's official note: "All the LOOPiN members have decided to prioritize their walk into a new era as a team. We ask the public's understanding and the respect of this personal choice taken by the group as a whole."

As expected, the public hasn't been convinced by New Wave Music's vague reasoning, with the majority of fans online suspecting some sort of punishment or ban being placed on the LOOPiN members - a theory highly supported by the quiet and unusual state of the members personal Instagram and Tiktok pages, all colecively not updated since the 24th.

STORYBOOK ENT. REVEALS ALL SEVEN MEMBERS OF NEW MINISERIES, PHANTASIE BOYS

Throughout the past two weeks, Storybook Entertainment has been steadily releasing each member of their- still unnamed- new boy group, in preparation for the PHANTASIE BOYS YouTube miniseries.

All the current information we have on the members has been sourced from official Storybook Entertainment posts, old social media accounts, and some word of mouth. Here is all of that information repackaged:

Old WIP

soo I know I havent been active in like forever BUT! I've slowly been getting back into bnha :)) ... I finally watched the latest movie and im almost up to date on the manga

anyways I had this idea for a fic like two years ago and I've decided its time I share it cause I don't think ill ever actually write it lol (mostly cause im just not motivated but also cause I lost the draft I had for it) keep in mind that I thought about this like two years ago tho so all the recent manga/anime developments never happend (also mentions of bad parent Mitsuki ahead)

it was gonna be a kid Katsuki fic where Bakugou got hit by a quirk that basically made him 10 years younger (so he’d be 6). And the ‘rules’ to this quirk were the following:

- whoever gets hit by the quirk instantly turns into themselves from 10 years ago

- but like. exactly themselves from exactly 10 years ago. so they'd have the exact memories and body they had at the exact time of day just 10 years in the past.

- so for example if u got hit with the quirk at 3:23pm on the 10th of august 2022 you’d turn into the version of yourself from 3:23pm on the 10th of august 2012 and if you were hungry or thirsty at that time in 2012 you'd still be hungry or thirsty when you appear in 2022 (this is rlly vague but hopefully it makes some sense lmao)

-also say you were playing outside at that time, you'd suddenly be super confused as to where you were and what was happening etc.

- its kinda like the person hit by the quirk rewinds exactly 10 years. does that make sense(?). 

- after exactly 24 hours the person hit with the quirk ‘ages’ (or I guess ‘fasts forward’) exactly a year. so 3:23pm august 10th 2012 kid turns into 3:23pm august 11th 2013 kid. cause its a day later.

- they age by exactly a year every 24 hours until they reach they're actual age again. so it takes exactly 10 days for the quirk to wear off.

- whenever they age up again, they have no memory of the day before

those were the basic rules to the quirk and I can't remember if there was anything else to it but yeah (lmk if it made no sense ill try to explain better)

so in my fic I was gonna have Katsuki get hit by the quirk (obviously). and it was gonna be part of my Bakugou Katsuki is class 1a’s big brother - change my mind series which means that id have Katsuki already adopted by Aizawa and part of the Aizawa-yamada household. (Hitoshi, Shoto and Eri also part of the fam of course) but the adoption process was gonna either not be over yet or at least super recent and the extent of Katsuki’s past and abuse was not gonna be known by anyone. also I like hawks so I think I had Baku as hawks’ intern in this 

I believe I had already written the first scene where I was gonna have Miruko, hawks and Bakugou out on patrol fighting some villains and then Bakugou getting hit by the quirk. (I forgot the password I need to get to the draft tho💀, so I can't share it with you guys at the moment)

anyways, I thought the idea had a lot of potential cause I was gonna have everyone see how Katsuki aged from a 6yo to a 16yo over the course of 10 days. and I was gonna make it that his ‘past selves’ that ‘appear’ had just been kidnapped or something or had a lot of buises or hadn't eaten in however long and then all of a sudden they find themselves in a room full of (to them) strangers who he obviously doesn't trust. everyone was gonna see first hand how messed up Katsuki’s childhood was. and in the meantime Katsuki was just gonna be trying to figure out whether he could trust these people or how he could escape them.

it was gonna be a lot of trauma and fun!

oh and I was gonna make it that when he initially got attacked by the quirk, it would've coincidentally be exactly 9 days away from the anniversary of when the sludge villain attacked him. meaning that his 14yo self (that would've showed up on day 9 of the quirk) was gonna happen to be in the middle of being choked by sludge whilst the quirk hit which would make it that (to him) it'd feel like he’d be fighting sludge one second and then he’d suddenly be in front of a whole class of UA students the next. 

I had all these ideas for the fic that I can elaborate on if anyones interested! but I mostly just wanted to share this cause I started thinking about my old WIPs recently and thought it'd be fun to talk about them!

❣️ The Eclipse - no comment. it’s phenomenal. F & K are delivering and I didn’t expect anything less lol. They really made the right call casting them for this because their chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥 The characters are nuanced, the progression and the pacing are on point and I’m super curious to find out more about Ayan and his uncle. Also neolouis are intriguing and I’m loving neo in this role! So excited!!! 11/10. 

👎🏻 Coffee Melody - I don’t wanna say I had high expectations for this but I was excited and the first 2ish episodes were actually pretty good - but then it went downhill and by this point it’s just bad. The pacing is off, it’s slow, boring and repetitive. Like if some random dude breathing near Plengrak is all it takes for DuanYi to have the emotional breakdown of his life then maybe yall should call it quits for good lmao. It’s been like this for 7 episodes now. I’m tired. I’m gonna sit through the last few episodes but I wish it would go by faster. 2/10.

Other news from the BL world

❗️ The Thai BL “Why R U” is getting a Korean remake. The production company (same as Kissable Lips) confirmed that the show will have 8 episodes and MaxNat will have a guest appearance, which they have already filmed. 

❗️ Filming for the upcoming Korean-Thai BL “Love is Like a Cat” (starring Mew Suppasit and others) has wrapped. The series is scheduled to air next year. 

❗️ Jimmy Karn has withdrawn from the upcoming bl “Middleman’s Love” due to personal reasons. As a result, Tommy S. has withdrawn from the project as well. Filming has been postponed indefinitely as there will be a recasting for the lead roles. The upcoming related series “Bed Friend” will supposedly still air as planned. 

❗️ GMMTV announced a 4th season of Safe House. The contestants are Tay, New, Perth, Chimon, First, Khaotung, Gemini, Fourth, White, Mond, Sing, Foei & Prom. The show will air from September 5th - September 11th on GMMTV’s youtube channel.

❗️ Script readings for the upcoming Thai BL “Never Let Me Go” have started. Shooting is scheduled to start next month. 

❗️ Singto Prachaya and Fluke Natouch will star in the upcoming Thai BL “Shadow”, which tells the story of a student in an all-boys highschool who has supernatural visions while being bullied for being gay. He falls in love with a new student who seems to be the only one who understands him. Filming has already started and the show is scheduled to be released in March 2023.
