There's a long frame with gold on it, and inside of it is a nail set he got her his first time ever (that was three years ago 💀) She told him it was coming off, and she was so sad because he got it for her (he fell in love with her more because of that) so he helped her get them off, and he told her that he'll throw them away.

They don't really have shrines like Krueger (because he's delusional) but everyone does have a picture of Sweetheart or some sort of gift she's made them somewhere in their room. Or on them.

Like Alejandro has a small gold locket of Sweetheart he wears around his neck and NEVER TAKES IT OFF-- and when he's about to go on a mission, he kisses the locket, says a small prayer and puts it under his shirt, so he knows that he's protected and has someone to go back to (why am I making myself cry)

Rudy has a picture of Sweetheart framed with a letter she sent him on his desk with the little things she's made him. He reads the letter every time he misses her (WHY AM I DOING THIS TO MYSELF)

Ghost wears a braided friendship bracelet Sweetheart made him. (Its black and blue with lil skulls) He hides it on his left wrist with his glove, but he still wears it. When he's not around Sweetheart, he plays with the ties and smiles

Soap has like a little collage of pictures of Sweetheart and him on a corkboard. They take pictures when they're in a new country or state and collect weeds of flowers and give it to each other (SO CUTE I LOVE SOAP) and his sketchbook is FILLED of Sweetheart-- like he remembers what she looks like so much he sketches her from memory. And he uses a separate sketchbook for her, he calls it "Sweet's Looks".

Gaz only has one picture of her, and it's on his phone. It's Sweetheart cuddled up on his side, hand on his chest while watching a movie. It's obviously his home screen wallpaper (not his lock screen he can't handle that) he also has a little basket of different rocks Sweetheart has given him because she has a little basket of rocks he has given her as well (they're birds I tell ya)

Price has a photo of her in his hat. That's why he never lets anyone touch it, and his heart beats a little quicker when Sweetheart wears is hat cause he's nervous she's gonna see the picture (she has, and it's her and Brutus together and she squeals everytime in her mind)

Roach has a picture of Sweetheart taped to a bear. 🧍‍♀️ don't really wanna go into that one--

Alex has like- one of those photo booth type of pictures. Yk the ones that come in threes or fours. They went to a mall and Sweetheart HAD to get some. Alex uses his as a bookmark.

Now Horangi is like Krueger. He DOES have a shrine but it's in his closet. You will NEVER SEE IT.

König would have a shrine in his closet as well, but it's SMALL. Like two pictures and a good luck letter she wrote to him when he was on a mission. He's so soft for her good lord.

Graves has like.... I don't know a paperclip? That Sweetheart gave him? Think he still has that pen that Sweetheart forgot to take back. Still counts.

How to Get Selfship Merch and Art with Low or NO Budget

*Okay, kinda misleading title as many of these are DIY but they can be cheap or free depending what materials you have access to. These are just some basic ideas I hope will inspire people to try their own things.

Feel free to add any ideas you have, too!

Things you can get/make for free

Picrew / Dressup games

I’ve seen some couple/romance picrews before!

I don’t always find the options I want in Picrews (ie body type) but you can always edit them using free software like Autodesk sketchbook, gimp, etc

Wallpapers

If your f/o is popular, you might be able to find some good phone/desktop wallpapers by searching online

Edits

There’s free apps for editing selfies where you can put in a photo and add in filters, stickers, etc. (Not my area of expertise, also may not work as well with animated f/o’s)

Free apps for video editing - I see a lot of edits on Youtube and Tiktok for example

Making silly edits where you put your ship into existing memes

Free art?! - Artists doing art requests / free art for experimental purposes

(Search for “art requests: open”, only ask if people offer first)

Free art?! - You can draw whatever you want, whenever you want

Apologies if that sounds condescending, but that’s often the thought that motivates me to draw selfship art when I do. No one can stop me from drawing myself kissing my f/o!

If this is daunting, try breaking it down into smaller steps. Search for tutorials on how to draw your f/o, or how to draw romantic scenes, etc.

Misc arts & crafts!

Whatever you have on hand you could make - especially in your f/o’s colors! Or things you associate with your ship

Sometimes schools and libraries have free events where they let people make things free of charge - check out your local library’s site! They’re always open for feedback, you can email suggestions for events.

I’ve seen events where they let you paint, make friendship bracelets, make buttons with their button machine, etc

For example my uni had a “destress from finals” event where you could make bracelets with plastic beads (like kandi?), and I made one with my friend’s f/o’s name and color scheme. 

Things you can get/make for cheap

Keychains! Get one of those keychains where you can put a photo in, print out or draw a pic of your beloved, and put that bad boy in there

A lil character shrine! It doesn’t have to be huge

A good place to start could be a photo of the character and little trinkets you associate with them. Like an eraser shaped like their favorite animal or a candle in a scent that reminds you of them.

Not Fine At All

Mercedes was too hyped up with adrenaline to sleep, so I had to silence her with some tape over her mouth so I could catch a wink of sleep myself. Although she could easily reach, she didn’t dare take it off. I could hear her sob quietly into her pillow, so I knew she wasn’t up to anything.

Erick was still in his corner, picking at the wallpaper, probably not getting a lot of sleep either. But that wasn’t my problem for now. At least it seemed like I could still trust him to behave, even after Jonas spooked him.

When I woke up from my light sleep as my phone started ringing, both of them hadn’t moved an inch from where I left them. I rubbed my eyes while reaching for my phone, checking the time. Ten AM. I overslept it seemed. I checked the caller ID and saw it was Tito, so I quickly picked up.

“Hey, it’s me,” I said.

“Fetcher! Good news!” Tito said.

“Ransom paid?” I asked.

“Not yet,” Tito said, “but Mr Grant called me this morning in tears, begging for forgiveness, so that’s a start.”

“Yeah, about that,” I said, “you tell me no bruises and then send Jonas to chop off her damn finger?”

“He convinced me it would be a good idea,” Tito said.

I rolled my eyes. Of course he did.

“So when can I drop her off?” I asked.

“I’m meeting her father in about an hour, and we’ll probably have to settle for a payment plan because he did spend some of the money already,” Tito said, “in the meantime, why don’t you get her ready, and once we’ve made a deal I’ll text you the address where you can drop her off, agreed?”

“Yeah, got it,” I said, “also…thanks for the info. You mind if I use the motel for a day or two longer?”

“Not at all,” Tito said, “just be prepared to clear out in case I need it for someone else, alright?”

“You’ll know how to reach me,” I said, before hanging up and getting up.

My back was a bit stiff, but I would live. I headed into the bathroom to freshen up a bit, before giving both teens a chance, starting with the girl.

“Keep that bandage dry, you have ten minutes,” I said, helping her get up and nudging her into the bathroom.

While she was in there, I cut Erick free and let him have his pick from the food I had left.

“For behaving so well,” I said, while he hesitantly picked up a small bag of mixed nuts.

“Um…y-you want some, sir?” he asked quietly, “it’s the only one…”

“Just leave the almonds for me, you can have the rest,” I said, handing him another bottle of water as well, before knocking on the bathroom door to warn the girl.

“Five minutes left! — Do you need to use the bathroom too, kid?”

“Y-yeah…if that’s okay, sir?”

“Of course, I don’t plan on cleaning up after you,” I said.

“You’d make me clean up after myself…”

“What was that?”

“N-nothing, sir!”

I shook my head, giving him a nudge before turning back to the girl as she hesitantly stepped out of the bathroom. I sat her down, taking the tape off of her mouth and let her have some water.

“In about an hour we’re going to take a lil trip,” I said, “are you going to behave?”

She nodded, biting her lip a bit to keep it from trembling.

“P-please…I just want to go home…”

“You’ll get home,” I said, “if you behave.”

She nodded again, and sipped her water quietly. I gestured at Erick that he could use the bathroom now, to which he put his food down and headed inside.

While he was in there, I grabbed one of my bags and pulled out a couple coils of rope and some tape. I probably wasn’t gonna get anything back, so I just planned to use disposables while hanging on to my handcuffs…which were still covered in blood.

Mercedes struggled as I took her water away, pleading for me to stop in exchange for her behaviour, but I wasn’t in the mood for it, so I gagged her with the tape first, pinning her against the mattress after uncuffing her so I could wrench her arms into a boxtie.

While I was trying to think of what to do with her legs, Erick emerged from the bathroom, keeping his eyes aimed at the floor as he didn’t want to look at the girl.

“Get over here,” I said.

“But—”

“It wasn’t a question!” I snapped.

He quickly stepped over, keeping his head turned away, but that didn’t matter. I handed him the bloodied handcuffs.

“Clean these,” I said, “and make sure to dry them so they don’t rust.”

He paled a bit at the sight of the blood, before sheepishly turning around and heading back into the bathroom to do as he was told. Or at least, I assumed he did as he closed the door behind him and I was trying to not get kicked in the face as I tied the girl’s legs together.

Just when I finally finished, Erick also stepped out of the bathroom and handed me the handcuffs, clean and dry.

“Good job,” I said, “now, when I receive a message from my client, I’ll have to take this girl away to reunite her with her family. You’ll have to stay here on your own until I get back. Understood?”

“Y-yes, sir…I-I’ll be good…”

“That’s what I like to hear,” I said, “finish your food.”

I ignored the girl’s muffled pleading as I took the leftover almonds from Erick before opening a granola bar to fill myself  up a bit. I hoped wherever I had to drop the girl off had coffee, or perhaps I could get some on the way back somewhere. I could figure that out later.

“You all done?” I asked after Erick finished his water.

“Y-yes, sir…”

“Good. Come here.”

I grabbed his arm, pulling him towards the bathroom while pulling the freshly cleaned handcuffs from my pocket. I could feel him stiffen a bit in fear, but he didn’t protest as I pulled him to the sink, cuffing one wrist, looping the cuffs around the piping before cuffing his other wrist.

“I won’t be long,” I said, “and when I get back it’ll probably be your turn to go home.”

“P-probably?”

“I don’t make promises I can’t keep,” I said, “it could take another week too. I don’t know what the future brings. Just be quiet and stay put until I get back.”

“Okay…s-sir…”

I nodded satisfied, leaving him in there while stepping back outside. I should buy a new lighter too. I was dying for another smoke by now.

Fortunately I didn’t have to wait much longer. Only fifteen minutes after Tito was supposed to meet with the girl’s father, he texted me an address with the instruction to park on the third floor near the broken pipe.

I assumed he meant some sort of parking garage. How else was I supposed to get a van to a third floor? Either way, I lifted Mercedes from the bed, ignoring her scared, muffled shrieking as I carried her outside and towards my van.

After securing her in place with the hook in the floor, I went back to make sure the room was locked. Pocketing the key so anyone would know it was occupied.

It was about a half hour drive to the address Tito had given me. It was an underground parking structure, which I carefully entered, rolling down to the third floor. The broken pipe he mentioned was easy to find, as it was leaking water and no one wanted to park near it, except for the one car that was already there, but I assumed they were waiting for me.

I could usually recognise Tito’s henchmen simply from their surprising manners. They looked like thugs, but gave you the respectful replies you would expect from an educated white man. And sure enough, as I parked next to the car, two of these thugs got out.

“Good day, sir. Are you Chase Fetcher?” one of them asked after I rolled down my window.

“The one and only,” I said, “Tito sent you?”

“Yes, sir,” the second thug replied, “Mr Rana tasked us with dropping the girl off at hospital.”

“Well, she’s all yours,” I said, getting out and opening the side door.

I stepped aside as the two of them pulled the girl from my van and put her in the backseat of their car. One of them got in next to her, beginning to untie her it seemed, while the other handed me a wad of cash.

“For your troubles, sir.”

“Huh, didn’t even agree on a payment,” I said, but of course I wasn’t going to decline, pocketing the cash, “so you got it from here?”

“Yes, sir. We’ve done this plenty times before.”

“Alright, have a good one. And watch out, she kicks,” I said, closing the side door of my van and getting back behind the wheel.

The thug inclined his head at me as I drove off, before they all soon disappeared from sight. Easy money. Now I could definitely afford a coffee and a new lighter.

I returned to the motel with a fresh stash of nicotine and caffeine in my bloodstream, lighting another cigarette before unlocking the door to the room. As I pushed the door open, I was met by an unexpected sight.

Rather than being in the bathroom where I left him, Erick was now seated on the floor, his back leaning against one of the beds, his legs, wrists, hands and the lower half of his face wrapped in tape. He looked up at me with the usual teary eyes, but something wasn’t right about them…well, besides the fact that I didn’t do this.

He tried to tell me something, his words muted by the tape of course. But I knew what he was trying to tell me. I knew as soon as I heard the click to my right. He tried to warn me, but I already had a gun aimed at my head.

I glanced aside, sighing as I recognised the invader, so I knew it was safe to take a drag from my cigarette without them thinking I was up to something.

“Miss Thorne…”

“It’s nothing personal,” the woman said, lowering her shades with her free hand, “drop your gun and finish your cigarette, dear. We’re going for a little ride.”

How/when did you discover Ghost?

This might be surprising but I literally just discovered/became obsessed with Ghost in early October of this year!

Basically I saw a random Tumblr post mentioning an ‘old satanic pope’ and I was like huh seems interesting so then I looked into it and saw it was about this band called Ghost. I looked up a song and since MOAC was really trending, that’s the first song that came up and I listened to it! Right away I was like wow this is amazing?? Because they have that vintage feel that I love (I love the 70s)

Anyway I realized that they were also the ones who did Kiss the Go-Goat and I was like wtffff I used to jam out to that all the time a couple years ago??? So I felt like a dumb stupid idiot because I could have gotten into them sooner if I would have listened to more than just that one song lmao 😭😭😭

Anyway I then saw a pic of Copia and it was LITERALLY love at first sight,,, like,, instantly I was in awe of him 👀👀👀 I was like WOW I knew my daddy issues were bad but I guess I’m thirsting over a 52 year old man with grey hair now?? Immediately I made a lil phone wallpaper for myself:

I then proceeded to binge all the Ghost content I could, listen to all the songs, read EVERYTHING about the lore, watch all the chapters, and I basically became an expert all within the span of like 2 days 💀

Bangtan wallpapers are great but.. there are ARMYs that need to be subtle about it too, right?  Smooth but with a lil something to it, something with feel, that can help you go undetected, how about that kind of BTS wallpaper..?

Jun: Umm....? What exactly happened here...?

There's a guy lying flat on the ground and he's —

Leo: Ah, I just heard a voice! You there, help me! Please!

While I was in the middle of composing, Buddha himself tried to trap me under a rock!

Aira: Buddha...? The thing sitting on your back isn't actually a rock — it's a dog, you know~?

Leo: .....Huh? Ahh! It's true! I can hear its panting right by my ears!

A dog's the last thing I expected! Wahahahaha ☆

Heeey? Couldja hop off of me already? I've just had a burst of inspiration, see! I gotta compose! Alrighty, up we go...

Aira: Huh, I didn't realise it 'til now since you were faceplanted on the ground, but... Leo-san...?

Leo: Yup! I'm Leo Tsukinaga! Who're you guys?

— Ahh, wait! Don't tell me, actually! I'm gonna use my imagination! Just hold up for a sec!

Jun: Tsukinaga-senpai, you have a dog too? There's quite a few of you dog owners here at the dorms.

In that case, Bloody Mary won't have to worry about finding friends to play with, so that's a relief.

Leo: Huh? This isn't my dog, though. I don't have one! But I do have a lovely angel of a lil' sis!

Hmm, who does this pup belong to?

Where'd ya come from? — Wait, I feel like I've seen you somewhere, actually~?

Aira: Isn't he Akehoshi-senpai's? His phone wallpaper showed up in a magazine interview, and I'm preeetty sure this was the dog in it?

Leo: Ahh, that's right! I remember! It's Subaru's dog!

Jun: This little guy, huh? Since Akehoshi-san's apparently out of town for work, this guy must be doing some house-sitting for him.

Aira: So that's how it is. Oh well, if only Leo-san had a dog then we could talk to him about it... Looks like we're outta luck again, Sazanami-senpai.

It's not like we can hear from the dogs themselves, anyway.

Leo: Hearing from dogs? You wanna talk to dogs?

What the heck, sounds pretty fun! I wanna try too! I get the feeling it'd spawn a tune that'll flip the world right over!

Jun: Ahh, no, you've got the wrong idea. That's not quite what we're talking about.

Truth is, I'm gonna be starring in a stageplay set in the world of savannah wildlife.

But on top of it being my first time doing theater. the fact that it's an animal setting's making me really struggle with learning the role. I dunno how animals feel, after all...

Since it seems like folks with pets really get what they're thinking, I wanna find some of 'em to kinda talk about it.

But in the end my hopes were dashed, by which I mean nobody's around to talk, so I'm 'boutta call it quits.

Leo: Hmm. You sure are overthinking things, y'know? It really isn't all that hard, actually!

Jun: Wha? It's not that hard? What d'ya mean by that?

Leo: It's all in your head that this is a world of humans, isn't it?

All the stuff you see now? That just turns into electrical signals once it's in your brain! Toss out all that useless wiring already!

Jun: Um, I'd really rather not. If I tossed my brain out I'd die, yeah?

Leo: C'mon, think outside of the box a lil'!

Think of this place as the savannah and that'll make us the animals that live there, or if you make it a fairytale, then we can even be the heroes and villains!

Now, go dream up countless worlds and all their infinite possibilities! Cross the boundaries of your synapses! Music is a universal language!

Jun: The heck? Shiratori-kun, doesn't this guy actually seem kinda dangerous...?

Aira: Woahhh! A normie like myself totally didn't get any of that, but that sounded like an outburst of pure genius! I'd expect nothing less from you ♪

Getting to experience being this up close with the genius composer Leo Tsukinaga is just ravely~!

Leo: Wahaha ☆ Yep, yep, that's right! This world's made up of music and love! Ravely!

Jun: How're you even hitting it off together like that? I don't get a thing he's talking about...

Leo: Alright! I just had a great idea!

Jun: Please just listen to me already!

Leo: Nah, that's boring!

Instead, let's do something even more fun!

This is now the savannah! From now on, we'll all be living right here! And we're gonna sleep under the stars tonight!

Jun: What? I'm seriously not following...

For that matter, I just got a crazy bad feeling about this...? Somehow, I'm getting major deja vu from the way this is going...

Oh. Got it. It's the exact same feeling I get whenever Ohii-san comes up with something that's definitely gonna be a pain in the ass...
