I struggle a lot with anxiety/agoraphobia and the gym was scary for me for a while, too. I recommend just starting walking on a treadmill with noise cancelling headphones on. Maybe scope out the gym to see what time of day/day of the week is the least busy and find a treadmill that feels like it's in a "safe" spot. Watch a youtube video, listen to an audiobook, something that you can distract yourself with. And when the anxiety creeps up, just repeat the reality to yourself over and over, ultimately, 99% of the people are there to do something good for their health and then go about their day, they aren't paying attention to you. You'll see people near the weights or machines staring at things and they may look at you, but they're just counting between their reps/trying not to die. Also, once you get comfortable, if you can afford it, maybe see if your gym has a trainer who can help you set a routine and familiarize you with the machines. You got this!!!!
