Jansen - Fuzzman
"... appears to be an earlier germanium Fuzz Face inspired circuit, and a later modded/souped up silicon version.
The original Jansen Fuzzman was designed by Bruce Eady and reportedly modified later on for more gain and stability. "

Opinion on the Trekka?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Trekka is a curious case, now they are considered to be collectable classics and Škoda counts them amongst their significant historic models. They were a New Zealand only light utility vehicle made by the local Škoda importer based on the first generation Octavia. The rear wheel drive Octavia chassis and drivetrain (with 1,221cc 4 cylinder engine) were imported from then communist Czechoslovakia and fitted with the NZ-made bodywork and trim. They exist because in New Zealand at the time agricultural vehicles attracted no tariffs so the Trekka could significantly undercut imported rivals which were subject to high tariffs and import restrictions. In all around 2,500 were made in pick-up and hardtop station wagon form.
In New Zealand in the early 70s I was a child growing up on my parent's farm in the rural South Island. Our neighbours had a Trekka and locally it was something of a joke with bits always falling off it and often breaking down. This was at a time when other Škodas models were poorly made and were themselves something of a joke (how do you double the value of a Škoda? Fill it with petrol). So the reputation of the Trekka has gone from zero to plucky little hero over the decades. They remain the only New Zealand designed, developed and manufactured vehicles to enter sustained series production (they were made between 1966 and 1973).

Sorry for the racist anon
I dunno how it works for Native Americans, but In Australia, those with Indigenous bloodlines are considered First Nations, no matter their skin tone of ethnic features.
This is largely due to ethnic genocide and colonisation, which I’m guessing Native Americans also experienced(of course), so to see a Indigenous person cry that someone’s “too white” to be First Nations is sickeningly ignorant.
aha I appreciate that <3
And I actually can totally relate to that because my bloodline falls under First Nations labelling! Except instead of being Australian, I'm Canadian haha I don't know if it was the same in Australia but it was practiced for a long time here (I think up until the 80's?) that if you were a First Nations woman who married a non-First Nations man, you'd lose your status as a First Nations woman. So my grandmother, who was raised in a residential school from a very young age, lost her legal status after marrying a French man and that passed on to her children and even her grandchildren. So I actually wasn't legally considered First Nations until around my preteens/teenage years when we were able to contest our status and bloodline with the government and get it back. Colonization unfortunately runs very deep in my family across the generations going back to my grandmother, much of my father's side of the family are strictly Christian (like, I'm talking "women aren't allowed to wear pants" type Christian) and I was raised as someone who was visibly different in a community of predominantly French/Irish people, but no one had the tools or resources to tell me why I was different without giving me an extremely whitewashed version of events. It makes me really upset for past me because being different really alienated me from a culture I didn't understand and didn't want to bother understanding at the time - I didn't want to be First Nations, because being First Nations was "weird" and "different" and I wanted to fit in.
Thankfully now I'm an adult and I've learned that my culture isn't something to be ashamed of, but proud of. Sometimes it makes me a little sad to feel like a foreigner to my own peers, where I'm learning about traditions and norms that many already had from childhood, but it's been a fun learning experience and it brings me so much joy to reconnect to a history and culture that was almost wiped out with my grandmother. I'm glad I learned about my culture and what was almost taken from me before it was too late.
It's frankly why it really shocked me in that previous ask, hearing "eh, you're not brown enough to be Indigenous and you should stfu" because I was literally picked on and singled out - even by my own white-passing family members - for being brown and "the odd one out" growing up. Being called a "cracker" was definitely a new one for me, I've been called every other manner of name for being darker-skinned and having visibly native features but never a name for not being dark-skinned enough ?? Like man, that's wild. Unlocking some whole new side content right here LMAO

Am I autistic I pick at my fingernails slot and scabs to oh no
pfhh nah, autism is more complicated than that.
Picking at fingernails or scabs can simply just be a nervous habit, like anxiety, or more serious even a compulsion from OCD. Or just possible boredom for some people.
Autism is usually seen as struggling with social situations, misunderstanding or not getting social cues, is the basis most people know. This is different from social anxiety, but austisics can also Have social anxiety. This is why plenty of research is important before deciding or seeking out anything ^^

100% silk LOKI scarf replica from avengers 2012 - screen accurate!
no, i don't sell these (i'm just a customer of the tailor who produced them). they are based in new zealand, and the quality and screen accuracy is impeccable. it's really beautiful (yes i bought one, i preordered it months ago after nagging them repeatedly to produce another batch, and received it in august).
this scarf has been produced as a limited run product so it's possible it will go out of stock again and not be available for years, if ever.
LOKI isn't the only character they have made replica clothing for, so go check them out.
this has been an unsolicited and unpaid product review.

I miss you Lorna… this is such a mess
This is an old message and I had several other similar messages, but I miss you guys and hope you’re all doing well!! I’m sorry to see nothing has improved.
I saw I was kindly mentioned by @awesomefringey and some other commenters the other day, so just wanted to log in and say hello and log back out for a few more months. 💕
Sending so so much love to all of you. Take care of yourselves and each other, please.
The video is still on YT.
#Anywayyyyy#The fandom added a whole lot more C to my C-PTSD#So a nice random message every few months instead of a freshly posted death wish is LOVELY.#Don’t fret. On meds and therapied but fresh tf out of money from it so @ L and H… lornasaurusrexx at g*ail is the PayPal if ur bored 🙃#I hate to be like this but protect your hearts. They’ll never be able to look out for you guys and they feed these trolls ammo for snacks#and it seems to have only gotten worse. Gotta keep them hets hetbaited for their money whilst actively encouraging them to bully yall? Why?#STILL!? At this point it feels like they’ve both chosen that path deliberately now and I find it quite gross. but I’m also very far removed#So don’t worry about my opinions. Keep trusting your own intuition!!! You all see it. I love you guys and your beautiful hearts and empathy#But I hope they can sleep at night knowing the absolute fucking genuine WRECKAGE they left across the Big Gay War generation/era of Larries#Don’t worry guys I’m just as dramatic as ever. None of this has anything to do with them coming out or anything. Just how we were treated.#But trust I fuckin mean that shit from the deepest darkest pit of my Demon Larrie™️ heart. They encouraged this. 🤷🏼‍♀️#Anyone who cares about my actual life updates: I’m a school nurse now and will be working at a bougie summer camp over break#Had a surgery I needed. Got new tattoos and piercings. In a happy and healthy relationship with the best dude for almost a year now.#OH and I went to New Zealand last year with Prettytruthsandlies!!!! We made a pact back in our Big Gay War/college days to go. And we DID!!#I got overstimulated and overfed and puked in Hobbiton. 🤣 (It was the best time of my LIFE GENUINELY🥰🥰🥰🥰🥹🥹🥹)#Okay BYE LOVE YOU GUYS#There are better and more humane ways to maintain a closet ..like literally STFU entirely. Ignoring it and not exploiting a kid is FREE#🇵🇸

I think it's weird that as a culture we just stole the word mana from the Māori/Polynesian language(s) to use in video games because it's kinda magic in a way if you understand nothing about the culture youre taking from and white dudes from Ohio still debate the pronunciation like it isn't a real word.
MAH-nah.
The Māori vowels are
A = ah (as in are)
E = eh (as in there)
I = ee (as in three)
O = aw (as in or)
U = oo (as in two)
You will often see a macron (ā, ē, ī, ō, ū) which just denotes that it's a long vowel sound instead of a short one.
The constinants are fairly easy, there are just a few things to keep in mind like "wh" is a "f" sound similar to the "ph" in "phone" and that "nga" makes a "nah" sound similar to the "nah" in "yeah, nah...yeah."
Additionally, te reo Māori is a very nasal heavy language and uses soft rolled R's more along the lines of French rather than Spanish if that helps.
Te reo Māori was once an exclusively oral language. It wasn't until the Dutch, French, American, and English "settlers" arrived in the 19th century that white people tried to write it down. It is also an endangered language that we need to work to keep alive, especially when the New Zealand government is actively trying to destroy it.
You Americans and Europeans wrote this language down. The least you could do is learn to read it.
