I've never listened to taylor swift but I'm very curious about the following she has so I've been doing this thing where I listen to an hour long episode of a podcast by swifties commenting on the new album then listen to the track they're reviewing for the first time. like half the sixth graders are failing english cos the homework is on google classroom and they don't have basic computer skills. like mayhaps we should fuckin teach them basic computer skills

#they get phones. they might get macs #but a windows laptop? wizardry #I asked if they would cover this in computer science and they were like no there's a whole curriculum already #like how exactly the fuck are they accomplishing anything in computer science then #okay so homeroom then. except we have 15 million other things we have to do in homeroom and we're only in there for 40 minutes a day #and today we spent nearly all of that time trying to get them to send one email #during which one kid out of 15 successfully sent an email #so in conclusion I'm going to put the curriculum book in my mouth and shake it like a feral dog. thank you

i'm dogsitting for my neighbor, and the dog has Had Enough Of Me coming over; she wants her parents back (i can't do anything about) so she's decided to be naughty.

she gets to eat 1-2 tomatoes from the backyard per day, but she knows that if she asks to go outside to potty, she can run to the tomato bush and chomp a few and i can't really stop her (this dog weighs 60 pounds and i am afraid she will bite me if i try to stop her)

i've got 3 more days of this and i'm terrified she's going to dogbarf a bunch of tomatoes or get a stomach ache and cry and i can't even say "i told you so" bc the dog won't understand. she'll just think "where's my mom and why does my stomach hurt and why does this stupid girl keep coming here" :(

#the secret world of merry mac #doggo eats breakfast at 6am then lunch at noon then dinner at 6pm. i've also been going over at about 9pm to let her out for #her bedtime potty (i don't think the dog should have to hold it for 12 hours) so i've been over there A LOT and it's making me a bit crazy #the neighbors' house is SO CLEAN and so spare that there's not even paper towels around??? thank gd they had tissues around #remember when marge simpson was so stressed out that her hair started falling out in clumps? that's how i feel about this dogsitting gig #there's motion-activated cameras pointed at every door (and there's one IN the house pointed at the front door) and so every #time i go to their house... the husband gets a text notification (i think??) and they're away for a sensitive court case and i just #hope they're not freaking out why i'm in the house 4x a day (i made the decision about the 9pm bathroom thing on my own)#(bc they're paying me waaay more than necessary for a really simple dogsitting job so i feel like. i ought to hang out with their #dog so they're not just paying me $$$ for just coming in to put food in a dish y'know?)

Living in a small town for pretty much all your life is like being in a sitcom that’s been going on for way too long

#you end up being like ‘it’s season 27. why are we now bringing back a character who hasn’t been seen since season 16’#aka guy i had a crush on in secondary school’s mom is in my pilates class #ya girl never forgets a face so as soon as she walked in i was like ‘i Know her. i swear to god i know her’ my mom was like ‘you don’t know #anything’ i was like ‘hush. it’ll come to me’#it bothered me throughout the whole class but then at the end i walked out into the church car park and literally laughed #she has a personalised number plate with her surname and first initial. i turned to my mom and was like ‘don’t ever tell me i don’t know #something ever again’ she’s like ‘what’ because she’s not even familiar with this person as a concept #so i have to explain about the time this boy turned up at my house unannounced and was like ‘do you want to go for a walk’ and i was like #‘hell yeah’ so we went back to his house and his three dogs jumped all over me and his mom asked me about a bazillion questions #that was 11 years ago #i have not seen her since that day but i swear to you i remembered her. i just couldn’t figure out from where until i saw the car #anyway he’s doing like a postgrad in geology now somewhere. i bet she’s mad. she was one of those parents who hires like a billion tutors #and hopes their kid will become a doctor. babe your first mistake was sending him to a state comprehensive with a bad ofsted rating 👍🏻#literally just pretending to be catholic long enough to get him into the catholic school would’ve done way more than hiring tutors #and it would’ve been free! no one can tell me lying to the church gets you nothing #my best friend from primary school went there and got to do free violin lessons and learn german; japanese and french AND they had macs #meanwhile i was playing cricket without a bat because our school couldn’t afford bats. life isn’t fair #personal
