Traditional costume of Sorbs (also known as Wends, Lusatians, Lusatian Sorbs or Lusatian Serbs) - Western Slavic minority in the territory of Germany. They live predominantly in the historical region of Lusatia - in the modern states of Brandenburg and Saxony. They speak Sorbian languages (Wendish, Lusatian) - closely related to Polish and Czech, divided into two main groups: Upper Sorbian and Lower Sorbian.

Please reblog for a bigger sample size!
If you have any fun fact about Lusatia, please tell us and I'll reblog it!
Be respectful in your comments. You can criticize a government without offending its people.
Info: Lusatia is not a country. The blog is open to non-country polls now. In this case, it refers to a region in Germany and Poland.

Like a true Krabat fan, I went and silently fetched the Easter Water - May it bring me beauty and luck in this year!

Handrij Zejler (1804-1872), author of anthem of Lusatian Serbs "Beautiful Lusatia".
"Lusatia, beautiful,
gracious, dutiful,
land of Serbian forebears' toil,
land of dreams, resplendent soil,
sacred are to me thy pastures.
May thy future be blooming joyously!
Oh, may from thy womb appear
people that the world holds dear,
worthy of eternal memory!"

Sorbian dragon (Zmij/plon) way: You're a dragon and you don't know how to make friends? Just give them food, milk or money. There. You just made a friend. You are now allowed to move in and they are required to feed you good so you don't burn their house or leave them empty
The dragon doesn’t kidnap villagers because he’s going to eat them. He’s just got really bad social anxiety and doesn’t know any other ways of making friends.

KCD2 was crafted with so much love for the setting. I am from the Czech republic and I also just...look around in the game. Epecially now with droughts and me having to live far away from forest, simply waltzing around the country in the game gives me so much memories of childhood. Glad you are enjoying it as well!
Hi there, neighbour! 💜
Oh yes, it's incredible how much love and care went into this game. Everyone will of course mention the castles, characters and story (and rightly so), but to me it's the in-between - the forests and fields and lakes - that really brings everything together.
I'm ~90 hours into the game and I've barely even fast-traveled because it's just so beautifully soothing. I ride into the forest and I can recognise the kind of trees and the birdsong and even the very specific kind of sandy ground and overhangs... and it makes me yearn for summer so much.
The only other game that ever gave me a similar kind of feeling of 'home' is The Witcher 3 (and KCD1 of course). It's hard to put into words since I'm neither Polish nor Czech (I'm part Sorb so it's complicated hhhh) but I'm so glad these games were made and have been such a great success.
