Lujanne and Callum were too damn chummy. I cannot be convinced he didn’t spend a while bunch of time at the Moon Nexus in the two years Rayla was missing. Obviously looking for Rayla or even word on her, but also continuing to look for pointers on how he might connect to the arcanum of the Moon. Totally for himself and learning more about magic and not at all as a way of feeling closer to Rayla and maybe somehow finding out if she was at the very least alive.

And in that time, Lujanne obviously developed a soft spot for him (hence the side eye “Layla” comment). Yeah, Rayla’s a fellow Moonshadow and Lujanne understands why Rayla did what she did, but she also saw Callum after and it’s hard not to feel for him considering what she saw him go through.

I absolutely do not fault Lujanne for being salty at Rayla and calling her 'Layla' in 608, the poor woman had to deal with the aftermath of her leaving directly. Poor Callum was probably the messiest mess to ever mess and the only responsible trusted adult around was Lujanne
