Lujanne and Callum were too damn chummy. I cannot be convinced he didn’t spend a while bunch of time at the Moon Nexus in the two years Rayla was missing. Obviously looking for Rayla or even word on her, but also continuing to look for pointers on how he might connect to the arcanum of the Moon. Totally for himself and learning more about magic and not at all as a way of feeling closer to Rayla and maybe somehow finding out if she was at the very least alive.

And in that time, Lujanne obviously developed a soft spot for him (hence the side eye “Layla” comment). Yeah, Rayla’s a fellow Moonshadow and Lujanne understands why Rayla did what she did, but she also saw Callum after and it’s hard not to feel for him considering what she saw him go through.

I can’t believe “humans can’t do magic” is an in joke between Callum and Lujanne now. A+ stuff

Lujanne has Callum's back. At least she didn't threaten to unalive Rayla like Amaya did.

Love how Soren was so determined to not face his mommy issues either that he COACHED Lujanne on how to act like his mom, from her mannerisms of how she places her hands on her stomach, to how she speaks, to what she would say

It must’ve been an oddly immersive experience Soren showing Lujanne the drawing telling her to change this or that and ‘no, no she only wore her glasses to read and her coat had embroidery but the ones at the hem were frayed and the material was softer than this”

Lujanne following the instructions so vivid so clear she must’ve assumed for a moment Soren had seen her recently, the way each detail flies off his tongue until everything is perfect.

Then in the end for his efforts to avoid her Soren is left staring at his mother

This time he knows its an illusion but its still strange it still hurts

Im gonna say it because its been bugging me but Lujanne should have died.

The show seems to have shied away from real stakes this season for no apparent reason whatsoever, killing off every vaguely known side character they could think of to avoid real harm to any of the protagonists.
